Tumblr media
a ⤖ affection (how affectionate is he? how often does he show affection?)
not overly affectionate in public, but very touchy in private
loves casual touches...
like a hand on your back, fingers playing with yours, resting his arm around you
shows love in quiet, consistent ways rather than big romantic gestures
instinctively reaches for your hand or pulls you closer in his sleep
b ⤖ beginning (what would he be like as a bsf; how would the friendship start?)
chaotic, competitive, and fiercely loyal as a friend
will challenge you to literally everything (even things you don’t care about)
loves to tease and roast you, but in a way that’s lowkey affectionate
likely met through mutual friends or the f1 world, but once he trusts you, you’re stuck with him
c ⤖ cuddles (does he like to cuddle; how would he cuddle?)
selective cuddler tbh
only cuddles when he’s in the mood or exhausted
prefers being the big spoon but will let you lay on his chest when he’s feeling soft
loves lazy couch cuddles after long days, usually while watching something
if he falls asleep on you?
good luck moving...he’s not letting go
d ⤖ domestic (does he want to settle down; how good is he at cooking and cleaning?)
100% sees himself settling down but probably later in life
absolutely useless in the kitchen...will either burn something or order food
not messy, but not overly tidy
his version of "clean" is "organized chaos"
will attempt to help with chores but gets distracted easily
e ⤖ ending (if he had to break up with you; how would he do it?)
hates confrontation but wouldn’t ghost you, he’d be direct
tries to keep it short and emotionless, but if he really loves you, he’ll struggle
might distance himself beforehand to prepare for it
avoids drama, doesn’t believe in dragging things out once a decision is made
bro wants to be "nonchalant" but the nonchalant def isn't in the room with us LMFAO
f ⤖ fiance (how does he feel about commitment; would he want to get married quick?)
i think we ALL know this man is NOT in a rush to get married
but he definitely takes commitment seriously
if he’s all in, he’s all in
wouldn’t rush marriage but once he knows, he knows
doesn’t care about a huge wedding, but he’d want it to be private and meaningful
would probably propose in a low-key, intimate moment rather than something flashy
g ⤖ gentle (how gentle is he; emotionally + physically?)
physically? very gentle when it matters, especially with you
emotionally? a bit rough around the edges but gets softer over time
will check in on you in his own way, even if it’s just “did you eat?”
protective rather than soft
he expresses care through actions rather than words
h ⤖ hugs (does he likes hugs; how often does he hug you; what are his hugs like?)
not a big hugger with most people, but with you, it’s different
back hugs are his thing
he’ll wrap his arms around you randomly
hugs you tighter when he’s stressed, like he needs to recharge
quick shoulder squeezes when he’s busy but still wants to show affection
i ⤖ i love you (how fast does he say he loves you?)
takes his time
won’t say it unless he truly means it
might show it through actions first before actually saying the words
when he finally says it, it’s unexpected but sincere
prefers proving it over saying it constantly
j ⤖ jealousy (how jealous does he get; what does he do when he is jealous?)
competitive by nature, so he gets lowkey jealous but won’t admit it
if another guy is flirting with you, he’ll hover nearby and make his presence known
gets grumpy and sulky, but instead of arguing, he’ll just claim you with casual touches
if it really bothers him, he’ll confront you privately but won’t cause a scene
k ⤖ kisses (what are his kisses like; where does he like to kiss you; where does he like to be kissed?)
slow and deep kisses rather than rushed pecks
loves forehead kisses when he’s feeling soft
jawline/neck kisses are his go-to when he’s feeling playful
likes when you kiss his shoulder or temple
it makes him feel secure
l ⤖ little ones (how is he around children?)
surprisingly good with kids (penelope literally loves him), but he’ll never admit it
would be a fun dad but also slightly panicked when they cry
gets super competitive even in kid’s games...will not let them win on purpose
protective over his own kids, will be the type to coach their karting career if they’re interested
m ⤖ morning (how are mornings spent with him?)
not a morning person unless it’s race day
grumpy and groggy for the first 15 minutes... prob longer than that tbh
needs coffee before human interaction
if you wake up before him, expect a sleepy arm pulling you back to bed
n ⤖ night (how are nights spent with him?)
winds down with gaming or watching sports
loves quiet moments
just being next to you is enough
gets weirdly philosophical late at night
sleeps better when you’re beside him
o ⤖ open (when would he open up; does he say everything at once or does he wait to reveal himself?)
takes time to open up
he’s naturally guarded let's blame jos for this
won’t talk about feelings unless he trusts you completely
expresses emotions through actions more than words
if he does open up, it’s late at night when he’s relaxed
p ⤖ patience (how easily angered is he?)
short temper, especially under stress
gets frustrated quickly but calms down just as fast
easily annoyed by small things, but he’s not one to hold grudges
if he gets mad at you, he needs a moment alone to cool off
bro is just a chill guy ... but he definitely has his moments lmfao
q ⤖ quizzes (how much would he remember about you; does he remember every little detail; or is he forgetful?)
surprisingly good memory
remembers random facts about you
might forget small things like dates, but remembers what actually matters
can recall your order at any restaurant
will bring up something you said months ago, proving he listens more than you think
r ⤖ remember (what is his favorite moment in the relationship?)
probably the first time he realized he wanted to be with you seriously
a moment when you comforted him after a rough race
some random, quiet memory that doesn’t seem big but means a lot to him
s ⤖ security (how protective is he; how does he protect you; how would he like to be protected?)
very protective but not overbearing
keeps an arm around you in crowded places
will 100% throw hands if someone disrespects you
prepares for every situation
makes sure you’re safe before himself
t ⤖ try (how much effort does he put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
not a grand gesture kind of guy, but he makes an effort in his own way
remembers important dates, but don’t expect anything over-the-top
his idea of a good date is something fun and casual
like karting, a race weekend getaway, or a quiet dinner
when he gets you gifts, they’re usually thoughtful and practical rather than extravagant
u ⤖ ugly (what are some of his bad habits?)
terrible at texting back
sometimes leaves you on read for hours (or days)
stubborn as hell...once he’s made up his mind, good luck changing it
can be emotionally closed off, struggles to talk about feelings
terrible at sitting still
always fidgeting, moving, or doing something
v ⤖ vanity (how concerned is he with his looks?)
lowkey vain without admitting it
takes care of his appearance but acts like he doesn’t care
hates bad hair days...if it’s not sitting right, he gets annoyed
wears team gear constantly, even outside of f1 events
secretly likes when you compliment his looks, even though he plays it cool
w ⤖ whole (would he feel incomplete without you?)
wouldn’t admit it easily, but yes, you’re a huge part of his life
when you’re apart, he gets restless
doesn’t know what to do with himself
hates sleeping alone once he’s used to having you around
if you ever broke up, he’d pretend he’s fine but would be absolutely miserable
x ⤖ xtra (random headcanon for him)
obsessed with winning at everything
even dumb games like mario kart
takes you on late-night drives just to clear his mind
collects race helmets like trophies and would 100% gift you one of his as a sentimental gesture
gets pouty when you beat him at something, but secretly loves that you challenge him-
y ⤖ yuck (what are some things he wouldn't like; in general or in a partner?)
hates unnecessary drama
if you’re constantly picking fights, he’ll check out fast
doesn’t like overly clingy behavior, needs his personal space sometimes
fake people piss him off
he values honesty above all
dislikes when people try too hard to impress him...he def prefers authenticity
z ⤖ zzz (what are his sleeping habits?)
moves a lot in his sleep
sometimes ends up half on top of you without realizing
needs to sleep in complete darkness, otherwise he gets annoyed
prefers falling asleep with you next to him bc he finds it comforting

THE CITY HUMMED WITH QUIET MENACE, a sprawling jungle of glass and steel that never truly slept. High above the streets, the skyline was shrouded in a dense layer of mist, the lights of distant towers bleeding through like smudged paint on a dark canvas. Somewhere below, the world carried on, unaware of the silent war that played out in the shadows—where men like Max Verstappen existed, moving unseen, ghosts in the system.
Max had been doing this for as long as he could remember. Recruited young, trained to be invisible, his life had been stripped of anything that didn’t serve the mission. Emotion dulled, past erased—he had been remade into something precise, something lethal. He didn’t question it. There was no point.
Tonight was no different. His orders had been clear: infiltrate, extract, disappear. A routine operation for someone like him. The target was a classified data vault hidden beneath the bones of an abandoned government facility—forgotten by the world but not by those who understood its value. Whatever was locked inside was important enough for the agency to send him, which meant there was no room for error.
The corridors were silent, bathed in the cold glow of emergency lights. He moved without a sound, a shadow slipping past security feeds and motion sensors with practised ease. The hard drive was exactly where it was supposed to be, tucked behind layers of encryption and reinforced steel. He bypassed the safeguards in seconds, fingers flying over the terminal, but just as the transfer neared completion, the air shifted—subtle, but unmistakable.
He wasn’t alone.
A flicker in his peripheral vision—then movement. Fast.
Max barely twisted in time to avoid the strike aimed at his throat, instinct carrying him backwards as a blade skimmed past his skin. No hesitation, no wasted effort. He countered immediately, using the momentum to lash out, but she was already gone, slipping back into the dim light like smoke.
His eyes locked onto her, scanning, assessing. She was good. Too good. Every movement precise, every attack calculated. Not just an operative—an equal.
They clashed again, the fight a brutal dance of skill and intent. Strikes deflected, counters met with counters. For every step he gained, she matched him effortlessly, as if she knew exactly how he moved, how he thought.
And then, as their blades met in a deadlock, a flicker of something else. Not recognition—something deeper, buried beneath years of erased memories.
A flash.
Fifteen years old, standing in the rain, bruised and bleeding but not broken. A voice—her voice—sharp with defiance. Again.
It vanished as quickly as it had come, leaving only the pounding of his pulse and the fire in her eyes.
Who was she?
She twisted free, launching into another attack, and Max forced himself to focus. Questions could wait. First, he had to survive.
The fight pressed on, a deadly rhythm of movement and steel. Each strike was met with precision, each dodge answered with equal force. It had been a long time since Max had faced someone who could keep up with him—longer still since he had felt something close to uncertainty in a fight. But there was no denying it. She knew him. Knew the way he moved, the way he anticipated attacks before they landed.
And worse—he knew her too.
Not in a way that made sense. Not in a way that should have been possible.
She feinted left before twisting low, her boot catching his knee hard enough to unbalance him. He barely managed to absorb the impact, rolling back to create distance. He expected her to press forward, to take advantage of the opening, but instead, she hesitated.
Just for a fraction of a second.
Her breathing was steady, her stance unwavering, but in her eyes—something flickered. A question.
Max clenched his jaw. He couldn't afford hesitation, couldn't afford doubt. Whoever she was, whatever this was, it didn’t change the mission. He forced himself to move, closing the distance between them with speed, but as he reached for his knife, another flash tore through him—
Fifteen again. A training room lit with harsh white fluorescents. The air thick with the scent of sweat and blood. His body ached, muscles trembling from exhaustion, but he refused to stop. She stood opposite him, just as battered, just as relentless. Her voice, breathless but sharp—
"You’re getting slow, Max."
The memory splintered as she moved, striking at him with that same speed, that same precision. He barely countered in time.
His pulse thundered. He had no past, that’s what he’d been told. Whatever he was remembering right now, he wasn’t supposed to remember.
And yet…
A part of him did.
She drove him back, seizing control of the fight, her attacks coming faster now, sharper—more desperate. As if she, too, was fighting something beyond just the mission.
For a moment, the world narrowed to just the two of them. The abandoned facility, the stolen data, the reason they were even here in the first place—it all faded into insignificance. There was only her. The way she moved. The way something deep within his bones screamed that this wasn’t the first time they had fought like this.
Then, just as suddenly, the silence shattered.
A distant alarm.
Reinforcements.
Max swore under his breath. This had already gone too far.
Their gazes locked, breath ragged, neither willing to lower their guard. But the moment was broken.
Whoever she was, whatever this was—they were out of time.
The distant alarm pulsed through the facility, a stark reminder that they weren’t alone. The fight should have ended then and there—one of them should have taken the opportunity to finish it. But neither of them moved.
Max’s grip tightened around his knife, but his instincts screamed at him to do something else entirely. Run. Stay. Demand answers. The confusion was a dangerous distraction, one he had never allowed himself before.
She was still watching him, breathing hard, eyes flicking towards the corridor where the reinforcements would be coming from. Her hesitation was telling.
She wasn’t here for them.
Whoever she was—whatever her mission—she was working alone.
The second stretched between them, thick with something unspoken, before she made her choice.
She turned and ran.
Max almost let her go. Almost.
But something inside him wouldn’t allow it.
Without thinking, he took off after her.
She was fast, her movements fluid, as if she already knew the building’s layout. He followed instinctively, boots silent against the steel grates as they weaved through the abandoned corridors. The flashing red lights cast long shadows, flickering over rusted walls and forgotten machinery.
She took a sharp turn, disappearing into a stairwell. Max followed without hesitation, vaulting over the railing to cut her off at the landing below. She barely managed to stop in time, skidding to a halt before twisting into a defensive stance.
For the first time, she spoke.
"Still reckless."
The words sent an almost physical shock through him. Not because of what she’d said—but because of how she’d said it. Not mocking. Not surprised. Just… knowing.
Max didn’t respond. He couldn’t.
His chest was heaving, his mind torn between the mission and the undeniable truth that was forcing its way through the cracks in his erased past.
Then, another flash—
Younger. A different place. Late night, stolen moments between brutal training sessions. A whispered conversation in the dark. She’s beside him, pressing an ice pack to his ribs, smirking slightly as he winces.
"Still reckless," she murmurs, and there’s something almost fond in her voice.
It hit him like a bullet. The memory wasn’t vague or blurred—it was real.
Which meant she was real.
His hesitation was all she needed. With a sharp movement, she threw something—small, metallic—towards the ground between them. A split second later, smoke erupted, thick and blinding.
Max lunged forward, but by the time he broke through the haze, she was gone.
Vanished into the labyrinth of the facility.
The alarm was still blaring. He could hear the distant shouts of guards closing in, but his mind was elsewhere, stuck in the past he wasn’t supposed to have.
Who the hell was she?
And why had they made him forget?
The mission was slipping away.
Max knew it—could feel it unraveling the second he made his choice. The data didn’t matter anymore. The agency’s orders, the years of conditioning that had drilled obedience into his bones—none of it mattered. Not when the memories were clawing their way back to the surface, memories that weren’t supposed to exist.
She wasn’t supposed to exist.
But she did. And he needed to find her.
The alarm pulsed overhead, the facility coming alive with movement as guards swept through the corridors. Max melted into the shadows, instincts taking over, but his mind was elsewhere—tracing the route she had taken, searching for an exit she might have used.
He replayed every detail of their fight, every step of her retreat. She had moved with certainty, like she knew exactly where she was going. That meant she had planned this.
Which meant she had a way out.
Max exhaled sharply and turned away from the terminal. The stolen data was still mid-transfer, the mission still technically salvageable—but that wasn’t why he was here anymore. He left it behind without hesitation, slipping into the stairwell she had disappeared through moments before.
His body moved on instinct, muscle memory leading him through the facility as if chasing something deeper than just a target.
Fifteen again. Late-night training. They were always the last two left standing, bruised and aching but refusing to fall. A voice in the dark, hers—
"They’ll break us apart one day."
He hadn’t believed her.
Max’s jaw clenched. They had broken them apart. Wiped them clean. Turned them into strangers.
But not completely.
Some part of him still remembered. And if that part existed in him, then it existed in her too.
He reached the lower levels of the building, moving faster now. The reinforcements were closing in above—he could hear the distant echo of boots, orders shouted over comms. He had minutes at best.
The facility was a relic of a forgotten past, its lower levels half-abandoned, corridors thick with dust and disuse. It was the perfect place to disappear.
And that’s exactly what she had done.
Max slowed, scanning the space, eyes catching the faintest disturbance in the dust—a trail. Not clumsy, not obvious, but enough. She wanted to vanish, but she was still human. Still breathing, still moving, still—
There.
A side door, slightly ajar. The faintest shift in the air, the ghost of movement beyond.
Max didn’t hesitate.
He pushed through, slipping into the dimly lit corridor beyond, senses sharp. The space was narrow, lined with rusted pipes, the distant hum of an old ventilation system vibrating through the walls. She had taken this route for a reason.
An exit.
He moved quickly but carefully, resisting the urge to break into a sprint. She knew he was coming—she had to. But she hadn’t tried to stop him.
Why?
The corridor opened up into a loading bay, long abandoned, the night air cutting sharp through a broken shutter. Outside, the city sprawled in the distance, a blur of lights against the dark.
She was there.
Standing just beyond the exit, half-turned, as if debating whether to disappear for good.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then—
"You left the mission," she said, voice unreadable.
Max exhaled slowly. "So did you."
Something flickered in her eyes. Something almost like recognition. Like a truth neither of them could quite grasp.
He took a step forward.
And this time—she didn’t run.
Max barely had time to react. One second, they were standing there, locked in some unspoken standoff—the next, she moved. Fast. Too fast.
He didn’t even see the knife until it was pressed against his throat.
The cold bite of steel sent a sharp pulse through him, but he didn’t flinch. His hands remained at his sides, body taut, ready—but he didn’t strike. Not yet.
She was close now. Close enough that he could see the steady rise and fall of her chest, the flicker of something unreadable in her eyes.
"Who are you?" he asked, voice low.
Her grip on the knife didn’t waver.
"They’ll kill you if I answer that question."
The words shouldn’t have sent a chill through him, but they did. Not because of what she said—but because of how she said it. A warning, not a threat. A truth she didn’t want to speak aloud.
He held her gaze. "Then why not kill me yourself?"
Her jaw tensed. "If I wanted you dead, you would be."
Something about the certainty in her voice sent his pulse spiking.
"Then tell me," he pressed. "Tell me why I remember you."
She exhaled sharply, her expression flickering—just for a second. As if she wanted to. As if she was weighing whether or not to break whatever rules had been drilled into her as deeply as his own.
Then, finally—
"Ask Christian where he picked you up from."
Max’s breath stilled.
The name hit him harder than it should have.
Christian. His handler. The man who had trained him, who had shaped him into what he was today. The one person in his life who had ever been constant.
There was nothing before him. No memories, no past. Christian had found him, recruited him, trained him—
Hadn’t he?
The question lodged itself deep, twisting into something sharp and unfamiliar.
He shook his head. "Christian raised me."
She pressed the knife just a little harder against his skin—not enough to cut, just enough to make sure he felt it.
"No, he didn’t."
Max’s throat went dry.
The certainty in her voice, the way she didn’t even hesitate—it felt like a noose tightening around something inside him.
The life he’d known had always been clear, precise, unshakable. He had been taken in as a boy, trained to be a ghost, stripped of anything that might make him hesitate. No attachments. No past.
No questions.
But now—
Now he wasn’t so sure.
She must have seen the doubt flicker in his eyes because something in her stance shifted. Not in triumph. Not in relief. Something closer to regret.
The knife at his throat lowered slightly, just enough to press against his chest instead. Light. Just a touch. A reminder.
"Whatever you do," she said softly, "don’t let them make you forget again."
The words hit him like a gunshot.
And then—she was gone.
A single blink, a breath too slow, and she vanished into the shadows like she had never been there at all.
Max stood frozen, the city wind cutting sharp against his skin.
His hands curled into fists.
Because for the first time in his life, he had a question he wasn’t sure he wanted the answer to.
The flight back was silent.
Max sat motionless in the jet’s dim cabin, hands clasped loosely, gaze fixed on nothing. The city lights faded beneath him, swallowed by the vast dark as they ascended. The hum of the engines filled the space, steady and constant—something to focus on. Something to drown out the chaos in his head.
Christian would be waiting for him.
He had no mission report to give. No extracted data, no explanations that would make sense. It was the first mission he had ever failed.
And the worst part was—he hadn’t even tried to succeed.
The memory of her voice lingered, curling around the edges of his mind like smoke. The way she moved, the way she spoke—like she knew him. Like she had always known him.
Like he should have known her.
Ask Christian where he picked you up from.
The words dug deep. No matter how much he tried to push them away, they wouldn’t leave him.
The base was cold when he arrived, the same clinical sterility as always, but tonight, it felt different. Or maybe he was different.
Christian was waiting for him, as expected. He stood with his hands behind his back, expression unreadable, but Max knew him well enough to recognise the subtle tension in his shoulders. Disappointment.
Christian let the silence stretch for a moment before he finally spoke.
"You’ve never failed a mission before."
Max kept his expression blank. "There were complications."
"Complications." Christian’s tone was flat, like he was waiting for something more.
Max exhaled, keeping his body relaxed, forcing himself into the role he had played for years. "Security was heavier than expected. Extraction was compromised. I made the call to retreat before it escalated."
A lie. A clean, believable lie.
Christian studied him carefully.
Then, with quiet finality—
"That’s not the whole truth."
Something in Max’s gut twisted. Christian knew. Maybe not everything, maybe not her, but enough to know that Max was keeping something from him.
He needed to tread carefully. He needed to play this right.
So why the hell did he open his mouth and say—
"Where did you pick me up from?"
The words had barely left him before the shift in the air was immediate.
Christian’s entire body went still.
A long, heavy silence.
Then, barely above a whisper—
"You’re remembering."
Max’s stomach turned.
It wasn’t a question. It wasn’t disbelief. It was a confirmation.
Christian knew.
And before Max could even react, before he could think of a way to fix this, to backtrack, to—
The door behind him slid open.
Boots. Movement. Too many of them.
His instincts flared, but before he could reach for a weapon, hands were on him. A hard grip on his arms, forcing them behind his back. He tensed, about to fight, but then he saw it—
The mask.
The metal apparatus in their hands, wires trailing, the gleam of something sharp and invasive.
Max’s breath locked in his throat.
No.
Not this.
Not again.
He never knew what it did.
All he knew was that it hurt.
His pulse pounded, his body coiled to resist, but Christian only took a step back, running a hand down his face.
"Fuck. How is this happening already?"
The hands on Max tightened. He thrashed against them, instincts screaming to fight, to run, but it was already too late. The mask was forced over his face, the sharp scent of chemicals hitting him fast.
His vision swayed. The edges of the room blurred.
Whatever you do, don’t let them make you forget again.
Her voice, clear as a bullet to the skull.
Max fought. He fought, but the world was slipping, pulling him under.
And then—
Darkness.
The world came back in pieces.
A dull ache throbbed behind Max’s eyes, a deep, lingering weight pressing against his skull. His body felt heavy, sluggish, like he was surfacing from somewhere too deep, somewhere he wasn’t supposed to have been.
He was lying on something cold. A cot. The metallic scent of the base’s medical wing filled his lungs, sterile and artificial. The hum of overhead lights buzzed faintly in the background, a rhythmic, familiar noise that should have grounded him.
But something was off.
His thoughts were slow, thick, like they were moving through treacle.
And then—
"You're awake."
Christian’s voice.
Max blinked against the brightness, his vision sharpening as he turned his head. Christian stood a few feet away, arms crossed, studying him with the careful scrutiny of someone searching for cracks in a foundation.
Max forced himself upright. The movement sent a sharp wave of nausea through him, but he ignored it.
"What happened?" His own voice felt distant, like it didn’t quite belong to him.
Christian exhaled through his nose, something unreadable flickering across his expression. "You wiped out during the mission. Comms went dark. We had to extract you."
Wiped out? That wasn’t—
No, that couldn’t be right.
The mission. He’d gone in alone. Infiltrated the facility. He was about to extract the data, and then—
His head pulsed, a sharp spike of pain cutting through his thoughts.
Christian watched him carefully. "What do you remember?"
Max frowned, trying to push past the fog. "The facility. I got inside. Security was heavier than expected, but I navigated it. I reached the terminal, started the extraction—"
A flicker of something.
A shadow of movement. The ghost of a fight, a blade catching the dim light—
No.
That wasn’t right.
The mission had gone wrong. That was all.
He forced the thought aside. "There was an alarm. I had to abandon the extraction. That’s when things got messy. I must have taken a hit on the way out."
Christian nodded slowly, as if weighing his words. "You don’t remember anyone else being there?"
The question was casual. Too casual.
Max’s muscles tensed instinctively. "No."
Christian tilted his head slightly. "No other operatives? No one who might have compromised the mission?"
Max shook his head. "I was alone."
The lie slipped out effortlessly. He didn’t know why he was lying, not fully—but something in his gut told him it was necessary.
Christian studied him for a long moment. Then—
"You don’t remember anything else?"
There was something about the way he said it. The way his tone shifted, like he was looking for something specific.
Max opened his mouth to deny it again—
Ask Christian where he picked you up from.
The thought cut through his mind like a blade.
His breath stalled.
Something about those words felt wrong. Or rather—too sharp. Too defined. Like they weren’t supposed to be there at all.
The chemicals had done their job. He knew they had. He felt the emptiness, the hollowed-out space in his head where things had been scrubbed clean.
But that one thought remained.
And he had no idea why.
Christian was still watching him, patient, expectant.
Max forced his expression blank. "No. I don’t remember anything else."
A beat.
Then Christian nodded, like that was the answer he had been waiting for.
"Get some rest," he said, stepping back towards the door. "We’ll debrief properly in the morning."
Max only nodded.
He waited until Christian was gone, until the door clicked shut behind him.
Then, slowly, he exhaled.
His hands curled into fists against the sheets.
Because something wasn’t right.
And this time, no matter what they did to him—
He wasn’t going to let it go.
Max sat on the edge of the cot, elbows on his knees, hands loosely clasped. His head still ached—a deep, lingering throb at the base of his skull—but he ignored it. He was too focused on the weight pressing against his chest.
The wrongness of it all.
They had wiped him. They must have. He could feel the gaps, the hazy edges where memories had been scraped clean. It wasn’t the first time.
But this time, something had slipped through.
Ask Christian where he picked you up from.
The words sat heavy in his mind, sharp and unyielding. He didn’t know where they came from. Didn’t know why they felt important. But they did.
And that meant something had gone wrong.
He forced himself to breathe slowly, methodically. Focus. He needed to be careful. Christian was already suspicious—his questions hadn’t been casual. He had been testing him.
And Max had barely passed.
He glanced towards the door. Locked, as expected. There would be a guard outside. There always was after the machine, at least for the first few hours. Just in case.
They were watching him.
Which meant he needed to act like nothing was wrong.
Slowly, he pushed himself to his feet. His body felt steady now, movements fluid despite the dull weight in his skull. He crossed the small room, pressing his fingertips against the cool metal wall, grounding himself in something tangible.
His reflection stared back at him from the glass panel by the door. He looked the same as always—sharp, composed, unreadable.
But he didn’t feel the same.
He reached up, pressing his palm against his chest, against the spot where—
A flicker. A whisper of sensation, something just out of reach—
Whatever you do, don’t let them make you forget again.
His breath caught.
Her voice.
It was there. Faint, distant, but real.
And suddenly, he knew.
The wipe hadn’t worked properly. Not completely.
Something had stayed behind.
And if something had stayed behind, then so had she.
Max clenched his jaw.
They thought they had erased her. Thought they had wiped him clean, reset him like they always did.
But this time, something was different.
And for the first time in his life—
He wasn’t going to let it go.
The next week was hell.
Max barely slept. Every time he closed his eyes, he felt like he was missing something, like the answers were just out of reach, slipping through his fingers the moment he got too close.
He spent hours running through the details in his head, over and over, searching for cracks. But there was nothing tangible—just fragments. A voice that didn’t belong. A question he shouldn’t have asked. The phantom feeling of a knife pressing lightly against his chest.
Every time he thought he was getting somewhere, it was like slamming into an invisible wall.
The chemicals had done their job too well.
He found himself pacing his room at night, replaying Christian’s words, analysing every interaction, searching for a thread to pull.
But he couldn’t.
There was nothing there.
And that was the most maddening part.
By the fourth day, he was barely holding it together.
He was losing his edge. He could feel it. His reaction time was slower, his focus splintered. During training exercises, he caught himself hesitating, second-guessing movements that should have been instinctual.
It wasn’t just affecting him mentally. It was affecting his performance.
And that was dangerous.
By the fifth day, he started telling himself he was going insane.
That was the only logical explanation, wasn’t it?
They had wiped him. That was routine. He had failed a mission—Christian had told him what had happened. There was no reason to question it.
The words in his head, the voice, the flashes of something more—
They weren’t real. They couldn’t be real.
His own mind was turning against him. That was all. He just needed to let it go.
But he couldn’t.
Because somewhere, deep down, he knew that wasn’t true.
And the not-knowing was driving him to the edge.
On the seventh day, Christian came to him with a new mission.
Max barely had time to gather himself before he was summoned to the briefing room. The moment he walked in, he felt Christian’s gaze settle on him, sharp and assessing, like he was looking for something.
Max straightened his posture, schooling his features into something neutral. He had to keep it together.
Christian held out a thin file. "You’re being deployed again."
Max took it, flipping it open. The details were standard—location, objective, extraction plan. Another infiltration job. Another ghost mission.
But Christian wasn’t watching the file.
He was watching him.
"You look like shit, Max," he said bluntly.
Max barely blinked. "Didn’t realise I was being assessed on aesthetics."
Christian didn’t smile. "You haven’t been sleeping properly."
It wasn’t a question.
Max shut the file, keeping his expression unreadable. "I’m fine."
Christian studied him for a long moment. Then—"Good. Because this time, there’s no margin for error."
Something about the way he said it sent a sharp pulse through Max’s gut.
Because Christian wasn’t just talking about the mission.
He was testing him. Again.
And Max had no idea if he was still passing.
The mission was straightforward. Infiltration. Retrieval. Extraction.
No complications. No surprises.
At least, that’s what the file said.
Max knew better.
Christian had given him a comms unit this time, something he never did unless he expected to monitor performance directly. Which meant this wasn’t just about completing the objective—it was about proving himself.
Proving he wasn’t slipping.
Proving he was still the same agent he had always been.
Proving he wasn’t remembering.
He locked in. Forced his mind to focus. He couldn’t afford any more mistakes.
The drop site was an abandoned industrial complex on the outskirts of Prague. The air was thick with the scent of rust and rain-soaked concrete, the sound of distant traffic humming just beyond the perimeter.
Max moved quickly, slipping through the darkness like a shadow. The plan was clean—get inside, access the target’s server, extract the encrypted data, and leave before anyone knew he was there.
But Christian’s presence in his ear made everything feel off.
"Comms check." Christian’s voice crackled through the line.
"Copy," Max muttered under his breath.
"You’re on a tight window. No distractions."
The words were casual. But the way he said them wasn’t.
Max ignored it. Pushed forward.
The building was hollowed out, skeletal remains of an old factory now repurposed for something far less industrial. Surveillance equipment was minimal—whoever was running this operation relied on secrecy rather than security.
It made things easier.
Within minutes, Max had reached the target room. A small, nondescript office, a single desk, and a humming server in the corner.
He set up quickly, connecting the extraction device to the system, watching the data begin to transfer.
"ETA?" Christian asked.
"Two minutes."
"Good. Keep it clean."
Max clenched his jaw. The way Christian was talking—it wasn’t just mission oversight. It was scrutiny. He wasn’t just expecting success. He was waiting for a mistake.
Max exhaled slowly, grounding himself in the task. He just had to get through this.
He watched the transfer bar crawl forward, the soft whir of the machine filling the silence.
Almost there.
And then—
A noise.
A shift in the air, subtle but wrong.
Max didn’t hesitate. He cut the extraction, ripped out the device, and had his gun raised in the same breath—
But the doorway was empty.
Nothing. No movement.
Still, his pulse had spiked.
Something was there.
He could feel it.
"Max?" Christian’s voice came through the comms.
Max didn’t lower his weapon. "I heard something."
A pause. Then, calmly—"You’re alone."
It was meant to reassure him.
It didn’t.
Max swallowed down the unease, forcing himself to move. He secured the drive, checked the hall, and started his exit.
He needed to get out.
But as he moved through the corridors, every shadow felt heavier. Every noise felt sharper.
Like he wasn’t alone at all.
And then—
Whatever you do, don’t let them make you forget again.
The voice wasn’t in his comms.
It was in his head.
Max stumbled. Just for a second.
But it was enough.
"Max?" Christian again. Sharper this time.
Max gritted his teeth, forcing his breathing steady. "I’m fine."
A lie.
Because he wasn’t fine.
Something was wrong.
And this time, he wasn’t sure he could ignore it.
Max barely had time to react.
A presence—too close, too quiet—moved behind him, and before he could turn, the cold press of a blade kissed his throat.
He went rigid.
Every instinct screamed at him to fight, to twist out of the hold, to strike first and ask questions later. But something stopped him.
Not fear.
Recognition.
Faint, distant, buried beneath the layers of conditioning. But it was there.
A whisper of something lost.
He opened his mouth—
A hand slid over it, silencing him.
"Shh."
The voice was barely above a breath, warm against his ear.
And familiar.
His pulse hammered against his ribs.
She moved swiftly, with precision—reaching up to his ear, plucking the comm unit free before he could stop her.
A second later, she dropped it to the ground and brought her boot down hard.
The crack of crushed tech echoed through the empty hallway.
Static burst in his ear—then silence.
Christian was gone.
Max inhaled slowly, carefully. "If you’re going to kill me, at least tell me who you are first."
She didn’t answer.
Instead, she stepped around him, lowering the knife as she did. Her grip was light, controlled, like she knew he was dangerous but wasn’t afraid.
He finally got a proper look at her.
Dark clothing, tactical gear—she was built for this world, just like he was. Her face was unreadable, save for her eyes.
They were sharp, calculating. But not unfamiliar.
Max clenched his jaw.
She knew him.
She turned her gaze towards the drive in his hand, then back to him. "Do you have what you need?"
His fingers curled around it instinctively. "Why do you care?"
She exhaled, a quiet huff of something—annoyance, amusement, he couldn’t tell. Then, without a word, she reached past him, grabbed the device, plugged it in and began tapping a few keys on the terminal he’d left behind.
The screen flickered.
His extraction continued.
She was helping him.
Every muscle in his body stayed taut, waiting for the catch. "Why are you doing this?"
Silence.
The transfer completed. She pulled the drive free and pressed it into his palm.
He didn’t take his eyes off her. "Who are you?"
She looked at him for a long moment.
And then—
Softly, carefully—
"You already know."
Unlike last time, she didn’t leave.
Instead, she pulled a small piece of paper from her pocket, a rough tear from something larger. She grabbed a pen from the desk, quick and efficient, and scribbled something down.
Then, without hesitation, she stepped closer.
Too close.
Max didn’t move, but he felt his muscles lock, felt the brush of her knuckles as she slipped the folded paper between the straps of his tactical vest, tucking it neatly against his chest.
A calculated move.
Deliberate.
His pulse spiked—just for a second, just enough that he hated himself for it.
She held his gaze, unreadable. "Meet me here. Seventeen hundred. I’ll give you the answers you want."
Max’s throat felt dry. He glanced down at the paper, at the faint scratch of ink just visible through the fold. An address.
He exhaled sharply. "I can’t leave my base."
She tilted her head slightly, as if considering him. "If you’re motivated enough—if you want the answers—you can."
Simple. Direct.
And infuriatingly confident.
Max clenched his jaw. He should shove the paper back at her. Should call her bluff, demand an explanation now. But his fingers twitched instead, the whisper of her touch still there, phantom-like, against his chest.
It wasn’t much.
But it was enough to unsettle him.
By the time he forced himself to look up again, she was already turning away.
He should stop her. He should do something.
But for some reason, he didn’t.
He just stood there, the weight of the paper burning against his skin.
By the time Max stepped out of the building, she was gone.
No trace. No sound. Just the faint echo of her voice still lingering in his head.
His fingers twitched against his vest where the paper sat, warm from his body heat, feeling heavier than it should. He resisted the urge to pull it out and look. Not here. Not yet.
Instead, he locked in, moved. The extraction point was half a mile north, and he didn’t have time to dwell. The moment he was in the open, he moved fast, slipping through the industrial skeleton of the compound, mindlessly following the path drilled into him.
And yet—
The address. The time. The way she had stood so close, the way she had known him.
It was all he could think about.
The jet was already waiting when he arrived. He barely had time to board before Christian turned from where he stood by the cockpit, eyes sharp, scanning him like a threat assessment.
Max pulled off his gloves, keeping his movements smooth, measured. Controlled.
Christian frowned. "What happened to your comms?"
Max didn’t blink. "Glitch. Cut out before extraction. Didn’t have time to fix it."
Christian studied him for a beat too long, but then—exhale. A slow nod. "Tech will look at it."
It worked.
Christian believed him.
Max sank into his seat, forcing his body to relax, listening to the hum of the jet as it powered up. The mission was over.
But his mind wasn’t anywhere near it.
He should be thinking about the debrief, about the logistics of his return, about the inevitable post-mission assessments.
Instead, all he could think about was her.
And the paper in his vest.
And the fact that in less than twenty-four hours, he was going to have to do something he had never done before.
Find a way out.

The Lion's Lamb - Chapter 4 - MV1/33
Max Verstappen x reader
The Lion's Lamb Series: Aesthetics, Ch.1, Ch.2, Ch.3, Ch.5, Ch.6, Ch.7, Ch.8, Ch.9
Tumblr media
The Dutch and American couldn't keep each other out of their thoughts for the next few days.
Max found himself wanting to be around you more often. He found something other than racing, that he felt joy to be around.
You found herself drawn to the dark and mysterious aura that the Dutchman unmistakably had. Something about him made you feel something you never felt before.
In the days since they last saw each other, Max made good use of your number. Within an hour of leaving the coffee shop, he texted you.
Since then, they've been communicating nonstop. If they weren't busy with work, they were either texting or calling each other.
It wasn't until the upcoming Thursday that you felt like Max was becoming distant with you.
You were saddened by the thought. You rarely put Yourself out there, especially towards men, but something about Max made you want to try it.
By Sunday afternoon, Max had called you, extremely excited after winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. It was a close race between Ferrari and Redbull, but Max ultimately won in the end.
You had spent your Sunday painting, trying to keep your thoughts clear of a certain Dutchman. You wouldn't allow herself to think about it more than you should.
You had put yourself out there and was ghosted. You wouldn't wallow in self-pity for a man You had only met once. At least that's what you told herself.
In front of you lay a painting of piercing blue eyes that stared right back at you. You stared back, getting lost in the familiar gaze before the sound of your phone ringing broke your thoughts.
Quickly grabbing the phone without looking at who was calling, you answered, "Hello?"
"Hey," you heard the rough voice of the man who has been haunting your thoughts recently.
"Max?"
"Why do you sound surprised to get my call?"
"I didn't think you would call me," You said lightly, your heart racing just from his voice. "You seemed to not want to talk to me recently."
"I'm sorry, little lamb," You heard him sigh through the phone. "I was away for work and things got busy."
"Oh," You blushed at the pet name he said, "So you weren't done with me?"
"Little lamb, you can't get rid of me that easy," you giggled at his answer before responding.
"How was the work trip then?"
"It went well, but I can't wait to come back and see you again."
"When do you come back?"
"Tonight. I'd love to see you again sometime this week."
"I would love to see you too," you bit your lip nervously. "You have to tell me all about your trip."
"I will little lamb," he chuckled.
The Redbull driver couldn't keep the smile off his face. His little lamb wanted to be around him when he came back.
He was upset that you believed him to be ignoring you when that wasn't his intention at all. Max didn't tell you that he had gone away for work. He's used to people knowing who he is.
The name Max Verstappen has become a household name overnight it seemed. After winning his World Championship title last year, especially under the circumstances, he had built a name for himself. Good and bad.
So for him, you were a breath of fresh air. Being around someone that did know him, or what he does for a living, made him feel normal. As an F1 driver, normal is hard to come by.
Daniel Ricardo, the McLaren driver, and Max's closest friend, watched him on the phone from a distance. He had never seen his friend's face light up as much as it did when speaking to whoever was on the other end.
Daniel was there for the Dutchman since the beginning of his career at Redbull. Max was his younger brother in his head and he wouldn't have it any other way.
The McLaren driver knew that the Dutchman past, knowing he hadn't had the easiest life and his life revolved around racing. After watching the Redbull driver win his first title, the Aussie watched him slowly start to become a recluse.
Riccardo knew the young driver had been struggling since his world championship title came with a lot of controversy. Max wanted to prove to everyone, including himself, that he was a great driver.
Seeing the Aussie walking towards him, the Dutchman quickly told his little lamb goodbye and that he'd call back when he got the chance.
He didn't want anyone to know about you just yet. You were his escape from reality and he refused to share that escape with anyone else in fear of losing it.
"You all good mate?" The Australian driver asked once he got closer to the other driver, noticing the small smile on his face.
"Yeah," he responded shortly, letting the smile drop from his face.
"Who were you just on the phone with?" The driver smirks at his old teammate. He couldn't help but be nosey.
Especially after noticing how quickly he got off the phone when he approached. He wouldn't be Daniel Riccardo if he didn't know any drama.
"No one," Max shook his head quickly, refusing to fall for the other man's antics.
"Did our little Dutchman find a girl?"
"No," Max deadpanned. If he told the Aussie, it wouldn't be long before Lando, the other McLaren driver knew. And the younger driver couldn't keep a secret to save his life.
"You don't smile, especially on the phone, for just anyone."
"Daniel," the younger driver sighed, knowing the smile on his friend's face meant he wasn't going to stop pushing him. "If I tell you something you will drop the subject?"
The Aussie nodded his head vigorously, his classic grin plastered on his face. He just wanted to know what was going on with his friend.
If a girl is making him this happy, he'd like to know about you.
"You can't tell anyone about her okay? I don't need this getting out especially since it just started."
"I promise I won't say anything."
"She's amazing. She's gorgeous and absolutely the most innocent human being out there," he smiles thinking about you he hopes to see tomorrow. "The best part is, she doesn't know who I am."
"She doesn't?" That surprised Daniel, seeming how almost everyone knew who he was. "I don't want to say this, but is she faking this personality to get close to you?"
"No," the Dutchman shakes his head, not even entertaining the thought, "this girl can't lie to save her life. You can see it in her eyes that she has nothing but good intentions."
"Alright," the Aussie nods, choosing to believe his friend. "Where'd you meet her?"
"Coffee shop in Monaco."
"She's from Monaco and doesn't know who you are?"
"She's American, she only moved to Monaco for work."
"An American? Should have just started with that," the McLaren driver grins, "you know how much I love Americans."
Max shakes his head at his friend's comment. Thinking to himself how right his friend is.
The McLaren driver does love Americans, everyone on the grid is pretty positive that the man is a secret American pretending to be Australian.
"Look man," Daniel says while grabbing the Redbull driver's shoulder, "if she's making you this happy, who am I to say shit."
The Dutchman gives the Aussie a slight smile, thinking about you. He can't see you fitting into his lifestyle, yet at the same time, he can't seem to want anyone but you here.
"I want to be the first one to meet her," Daniel slowly gets a mischievous look in his eyes, "I can't promise that she won't choose me instead of you once she sees this beautiful face."

you haven't heard from max in years. the two of you had an awful falling out. years of you being best friends, turned into a budding relationship. only for it to be thrown away when you caught max with another girl in your apartment.
you hated him for it. you still do. since then you haven't spoken a single word to each other, and you were hoping to keep it that way.
nothing changed in your nightly routine as you re-heated left overs from lunch, and put on a classic romcom you found on netflix.
your life definitely changed when you and max stopped talking. charles and carlos stopped going to your apartment. you didn't hang out with lando or pierre as much anymore. most of the grid completely ghosted you, besides checo. he knew how hard it was for you to move on after max, he was there for you every step of the way.
your routine however was interrupted by a loud knock on your apartment door. you paused the movie, just as jane was about to show kevin all 27 bridesmaids dresses.
you look over your appearance quickly in your small hallway mirror before opening the door.
"what the hell are you doing here?" you snap.
max fucking verstappen was on the other side of the doorway. his knuckles dark red, stained with blood. his hair was messy, also containing remnants of blood. as if he wes running his fingers through it on the way here. a small bruise started to form underneath his eye, only going to grow in the next hour.
his shuddered breathing took over as he spoke, "i had no where else to go liefje." darling.
you immediately shook your head, "don't call me that."
all max did was look down, another thing seeming to go wrong for him tonight.
you open the door wider and step to the side, silently letting him in your apartment. all of the memories come flooding back with every step he takes, in the space he used to live.
you ordered him to wait in your bedroom while you went in the opposite direction, torwards your bathroom.
you grabbed everything you could; wipes, bandaids, disinfectant. you quickly went back to the kitchen to grab an ice pack for his growing bruise.
"het spijt me, liefje," i'm sorry darling his voice is raspy when you sit beside him on your bed.
you don't respond at first, thinking of the right words to say. you simply hand him the icepack as you start cleaning his left hand.
after moments of silence, your curiosity gets the best of you. "what happened?" you ask.
his adams apple bobs, before he takes a deep breath. "these guys at the bar i was at were talking about you."
your eyebrows furrorw, "me? why would strangers be talking about me?"
max turns to face you more snd shrugged, "one of them mentioned being on a date with you, and all they could think about was," he pauses. you stop your movements and look max in the eyes, encouraging him to go on. "he kept saying how much of a bang you'd be."
you and max both grimace. you knew what he was reffering to though. you were planning on going on a date later in the week with a guy you met from one of your friends. you make a mental note to yourself to stand up the asshole.
"so why did you get into a fight?" you continue wiping the blood from his knuckles, hearing him hiss before he spoke again.
"i couldn't just sit there while he was talking so badly of you. so i asked to talk to him outside, and i tried defending you. i really did."
you run your fingers over his hand, calming him before he starts to ramble.
he continues, "it was no use though. he obviously won," he sighs, his shoulders dropping.
you still couldn't believe the words that came out of max's mouth. even after years of silence between you two, he proved he would still do anything for you. you couldn't help but let your heart beat for him.
his eyes land on your intertwined hands. "i've missed you liefje." his voice is quiet, and you think you've heard him incorrectly at first.
you chuckle drly. "don't. don't do that max."
he brings his hand away from yours. "what? i can't be honest with you anymore?"
you shake your head for the second time tonight, starting to get tired of max's moodswings again.
you don't know why you let max in again in the first place. in your apartment, and in your heart. maybe you thought he changed, but that wasn't the case.
you throw the supplies down in your bathroom, not caring where they land in the process.
"get out," you storm into your room.
silently, max stands and heads in the direction of your front door.
"glad to know you haven't changed," he mumbles, probably thinking you dont hear him.
"excuse me?"
he turns, right before he was about to leave from your life again.
"you were never one to deal with change. when my feelings started changing about you, you threw me out."
you can't help but laugh, "no, no! that is not what happened. you cheated on me after i told you i wasn't ready to move to monaco with you."
max rolls his eyes, only irritating you more.
you move around him to open the door, "get out," you demand again.
he does as you say, rubbing his hands over his face and sighs.
"i've never stopped loving you," he states, just before you slam the door in his face.
you shake your head once again, but he continues.
"i still care about you, and i know you still care about me. you wouldn't have let me in tonight if you didn't."
"just leave max," the irritation starts making it's way to your throat, making your words tight.
max shakes his head, "i can't leave knowing damn well i want you in my life again."
"what if i don't want you in mine?"
max places his hands on his hips, "we both know that's a lie."
"wha–"
max points behind you, "you still have the tv stand you and i put together right after we started dating."
you're about to tell him to leave again, but he continues.
"in your room, you still had the paintings we made on our third date after we both got drunk. your shoes are still organized by color, thanks to my doing. you still have the ice pack i gave you when you hit your head at my place trying to cheer me up after a bad race."
you're at a loss for words, speechless because of max's confession.
"i still love you liefje, and i don't think i can ever stop." his voice cracks. once you don't answer his shoulders drop again. you watch him finally leave your doorway, walking into the rain that started to drop from dark clouds.
you cover your face, contemplating what you should do. part of you wants to close your door. to let max out of your life once and for all. but the other part of you wants to run to him. to hold him again.
you run out of your apartment, without shoes and without a jacket. you weren't entirely sure what you were doing, or what you were going to say. but you couldn't turn around now, you were already grabbing on his arm.
"you remember those things?"
max is quiet, looking down at you. you wonder what he could be thinking. but right now you can't help but make a fool of yourself.
you start to ramble, as your words come out rushed.
"max you know i can't leave you. i– i just can't. you cross my mind more times than i want to admit. i don't hate you, and i don't want you to leave. sometimes i turn on a race just to know if you're still doing okay. i haven't lived my life properly since you left. and yes max, i know i'm supposed to be mad at you, but truth is i can't."
you finally stop to take a full breath, and you make eye contact with max again. you see the small smirk resting on his face. his now wet hair was causing water droplets to drip down his forehead and onto his nose.
"are you just gonna stand there and make me continue rambling?" you wipe the rain from your eyes.
max shrugs with a playfulness hidden behind his words, "yeah, it's kind of cute seeing you flustered."
a blush rises to your cheeks, at his next words.
"it just makes me want to kiss you more."
within 2 seconds, max's hands cup your cheeks before he connects his lips to yours. you grab onto his wrists gently, stabilizing yourself. you've missed his lips more than you want to admit. the softness of his lips is contradicting to your own chapped ones.
you move your hands to his hair, gripping at the short strands towards the back of his neck. a beautiful throaty groan fills your mouth, and god you've never wanted to be closer to him than you are right now.

MV1 x 'You and your stupid smile...Get that shit away from me.'
I've NEVER written for Max before, but I'm low-key in my enemies to lovers arc with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loosing your paddock pass was bad; the rain tricking down the back of your neck was worse.
Working behind-the-scenes of Formula 1 came with some incredible perks; good pay, cooperate outings & the anonymity of your life; you’d seen it go really bad for some couples which had gone public. The same had gone for you and your ex-boyfriend, the golden child of Christian Horner.
After a few weeks of cold stares and silence, the press had died down on your part, leaving you alone whilst the cameras were continuously shoved into Max’s face; his stance was to keep his head down, his target solely being his third championship. Eventually, you faded back into one of the unknown faces of Red Bull Racing, a whisper sometimes crossing from a rival team; you. It was you. The ex-girlfriend of Max Verstappen.
Albeit, being well-known may have helped you in your current situation. Instead, you were stood in front of a security guard, arms folded as he waiting for you to pull out a pass. In all fairness, how many women showed up in team attire, playing the card that they had ‘forgotten’ their pass? Your phone was still at the hotel; a silent regret you had thought of, imagining your pass laid atop of it on your mad rush to leave that morning. Fuck Christian Horner for moving the meeting two hours earlier.
You were on the verge of admitting defeat- you would have admitted defeat, if not for the sudden eyebrow raise by the security guard and the voice emitting from behind you.
“She’s okay. She’s with me.” He nods, pulling his cap tighter to his head upon the weather becoming heavier. There’s a gentle pressure at the small of your back; after giving a thankful nod towards the security guard, Max leads the two of you through the barrier, waiting until you reached the other side to raise his eyebrows at you.
“No pass? That’s not like you.” He hums; his voice seems almost a ghost, having barely spoken more than ten words to one another in the past few months.
“No. Blame your boss.” You huff, feeling your clothes dampen by the minute. On top of the triple header, it seems you’re going to be carrying a huge cold through Austria and Silverstone. “Who moves forward a meeting at four in the morning?”
Max can’t help the smirk settling on his face; he’d miss this. The upmost sulking. The sheer black-cat energy that emitted from you. Everybody had been used to seeing him as the grumpy trope, anybody who knew the two of you understood it was so, so different.
“Don’t.” You snap, the wind only getting heavier, now soaking through the Red-Bull shirt you’d freshly steamed that morning.
“Don’t what?”
“You and your stupid smile…get that shit away from me.”
You’d not been able to get his grin out of your mind for weeks. Interviews, meetings, press conferences, nights out. It was always there, a reminder he wasn’t the cold, heartless brute the media could paint him as.
Your mind is drawn out of its trance of thoughts when you feel a sudden warmth pressed around your shoulders, vision darkening as something covers your sodden head; Max had wiggled out of his own windbreaker, slipping it around your body, pulling the hood up to cover your head. The man waits patiently, and at this point your body is so cold, it will take anything.
It’s clearly not thinking either, as once you’ve adjusted the garment, you automatically reach out to clasp Max’s hand, breath catching when you feel nothing but raindrops and cold air.
You prey he hasn’t noticed, ready to simply thank him for his gesture and walk on. What you didn’t expect, was for his hand to find yours, motioning forward, hands interlocked for the first time in months. And you couldn’t be mad, not truly. Not when you looked up at the man whom sacrificed his warmth and dry for you.
And especially not with that smile. A smile that emitted when Daniel walked past, eyes widening at seeing his favourite couple reunited for the first time in months.
Max says nothing, but his smile says it all.

The bud trimmer itself needs to very powerful to quickly drive the stainless steel cutting blades even when under strain and covered in sticky resin, it also needs to do this for 8 to 10 hours at a time without overheating or breaking down. These handheld trimmers operate at very high speeds and can mangle your buds in just seconds if you use the wrong brand of handheld bud trimmer. It’s a fine balance to achieve especially when you are dealing with a handled electric trimmer.
#Bud trimmer electric manual
Amount of damage to trichomes caused by trimmingĪll trimming whether automated or manual cause some damage to the trichome glands, the magic is to reduce the amount of damage while maximizing the amount of leaf material that can be removed from a bud.Clean removal of leaf material from bud.How does quality come into play when talking about automated trimming? There are four criteria to judge a trimmers ability to trim cannabis. The holy grail of automation is a balance between quality and efficiency while not damaging your product. The more time it takes you to trim your crop the higher the cost in effort, or if you are paying someone to help you the cost will be monetary. Plain and simple hand-held bud trimmer automation saves time and time is just like money. auto trimmer weed What’s the big deal about hand-held trimmers: Why the Trim-daddy hand-held Plant Trimmer Saves Time and Money. Once you’ve got 30 minutes to an hour of experience under your belt using the Trim Daddy you’ll be able to fly through the otherwise tedious task of trimming your crop. This bad boy is powerful like a hand tool but can gently trim the nooks and crannies of cannabis buds while not disturbing or destroying the adjacent bud material. I’m extremely happy to be talking about the Trim Daddy 2.0 Automatic hand trimmer. So, in a perfect world how would you trim buds with automation that doesn’t damage the structure of the flower? Someone has already thought of this and solved the problem for you.
#Bud trimmer electric pro
electric scissors for trimming weed The Time for hand held trimmers is here, Trim your marijuana plant like a Pro with the Trim Daddy Bud Trimming Machine You want a nice clean trim that doesn’t cause damage to the structure of the buds while leaving behind a minimum of leaf material. You know, and I know looks are everything when it comes to cannabis buds. It doesn’t outright lower the THC content but rather makes the flower more pleasing to the eye. Bruised buds are a real thing, it’s created when automated machinery tosses the buds around and rubs their hard processing surfaces up against the delicate flowers. There are industrial processing machines and home trimming bowls that will trim your bud, but they’ll also bruise your buds. Hand trimming provides the best quality finished bud because the flower is handled less which prevents trichomes from breaking off or rupturing, spilling out their sticky goodness. Processing or trimming cannabis bud is an art form as well as a chore. Trimming Buds is long tedious work: But not with the Trim Daddy Hand Held Plant Trimmer

Guide To Selecting A Best Caliber Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Whether it's really a veteran vape veteran or a new user, the selection process in order to purchase a silver surfer vaporizer on the web is growing a lot more of a chore. Fortunately, there are several essential elements that can be considered in order to slim down choices and to extent out the product. This informative article shall function as base-line summary of design what technology, and specs to believe of before buying a vaporizer that is particular.
Portability
The very first step to picking the vape is going to is always to pick between purchasing a mobile device, or perhaps a computer unit. As these units produce the cloud quality, where as any consumer that'll probably be vaping about the move needs to get a unit that is mobile users who vape in your home would need to think about a vape. Most consumers will end up selecting a device that is mobile; nonetheless there are a multitude of mobile, vaporizers and that only frees down the field marginally. Users should consider what construct is the unit's makeup and desirable.
Construct, Discreetness, and Structure
Vaporizers are inclined to be branded as either ultra-stealthy or as power houses, with minor in between. Consumers who are looking to vape should hunt for devices which can be tiny enough to conceal inside of the hand's palm, and include non-obtrusive mouthpieces. There are a number of vapes on the market, however, a few Well-known brands Incorporate the Extreme vape, Pulsar APX V-2, also the Starry X Max, and also the Da Vinci Miqro. Clients which aren't concerned with being stealthy are better off with robust devices such as the Boundless CF which boast , flavorful that is compact clouds.
So far as structure goes, clients should research what substances that per extreme q vaporizer is constructed out of. Cheaper components will tend to use. Glass mouthpieces are wonderful for enjoying clouds that are interrogate and with the trendiest, and also are favored over kinds that are plastic. Heating room informative article is crucial as well. For example stoves typically protect the most effective contrary to combustion which leads to prevention of carcinogens and increased taste. In addition, be sure to observe whether a item is done from grade or food grade elements, as these units are typically the maximum grade.
Temperature Control and Oven Ability
The flexibility to decide on what dimensions to relish a session in is very important. Most manufacturers priced among fifty to one hundred dollars will probably offer several to five preset temperature selectionsnevertheless, there really are a few outliers to this particular rule like the Boundless CFC 2.0, and the Starry XMax, that both offer precision temperature controller and therefore are exceptionally reasonably priced. Precision temperature control would be the ability to decide on an temperature and this feature can be imperative for consumers. Yet another component which ought to be taken under consideration is heat time up. Most vaporizers possess a heat up time anywhere from twenty seconds to the complete minute, prior to placing a buy, and customers should check special solution reviews.
Characteristics & Battery Living
The advances are countless, and nowadays it's predicted the mid range to high end brand will offer an assortment of features. A very good illustration of the is the Da Vinci IQ, which just one portable that is vape which has interesting manners of use like raise mode for hits. Additionally, there are a number of vaporizers that came out not too long ago and will be paired together with MobilePhone apps also. The Ghost MV1 is the king of premium tech also it offers the means to monitor one's vaporizer by means of the device app. If greater than two hundred dollars are being spent by a customer, they ought to make certain that they pick the fundamentals.

Four Gifts for the High Holidaze
GHOST MV1 VAPORIZER
This space-age model blows away every other vaporizer in its class. The Ghost MV1 employs convection heating of little containers (“crucibles”), so it doesn’t char the material or require it to be stirred—its custom diffuser takes care of that. Since the material degrades slowly, it allows for multiple hits, which ultimately saves the user money. The crucibles can also be used with concentrates. Download their app to control temperatures, and to turn it on and off from your phone. Ghost Vape is working on a model for Slightly Stoopid, whose summer tour they promoted in 2017.
$295; comes in four colors: black, satin, rose and nickel; ghostvapes.com
GREEN CARD GREETINGS
These cards have nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with cannabis. Stuff them with green goodies and send them to your favorite stoners. The 5” x 7” cards come in airtight plastic envelopes. There are 29 Christmas cards and two Chanukah cards currently in stock.
$4.95 per card; five-count holiday pack, $19.99; 10-count holiday pack, $37.99; 20-count holiday pack, $69.99; greencardgreetings.com

GENIFER M
JEWELRY
If you like pot leaves in your jewelry, this is the place to shop. Founded by Genifer Murray, who’s also chief of staff at the National Cannabis Industry Association in Denver, and her jeweler father Glenn, GENIFER M offers sterling silver charm bracelets ($49.95); silver earrings ($65.95) and pendants ($77.95); gold earrings ($189); yellow gold pendants ($299); white gold earrings with diamonds ($775); and silver hinged-cuff diamond bracelets ($1,049.95). It’s pricey, but cannabis couture is worth it; geniferm.com
THE COMPACT
Jane West cofounded Women Grow in 2014. She left the organization last year to start her line of Jane West products. First, she collaborated with Grav Labs on a series of glass pieces. Her latest offering, the Compact, looks like a makeup compact (it even has a mirror), but it’s actually a carrying case for stashing your favorite flowers. It also comes with the Solo (a sleek one-hitter made from enamel), a multitool for poking and a lighter compartment.
