So, my new 'apartment' has no kitchen.
This is obviously not something I would have chosen, but it's what was available within a reasonable distance from work.
I've bought a steamer/rice cooker and an induction ...whatchamacallit... a plug-in stove burner basically. I need to get a table for counter space and then I'm good to go, washing dishes and stuff in the bathroom is okay.
Anyway. The point of this post is: I'm a boring cook anyway so this isn't a big deal to me. HOWEVER I do want to be *a little* less boring. One thing I realized at my last place is that ever since I moved out of my parents' house I've had a very limited spice cupboard. No wonder my meals get boring, I have like. Two possible flavors I can give them.
So I have a request: recommend me a seasoning!

I hate searching for new recipes because nothing is EVER written for my level of pathetic rock bottom patience for cooking or refusal to buy ingredients. If it uses more than 1 dish you've lost me. If it tries to use an ingredient that's not freezable and/or doesn’t keep in the fridge 6+ months you've lost me. If you try to make me chop anything I am gone.
Where are my fellows. What is your wisdom. What are your recipes that amount to "add 3 shelf stable things to a rice cooker, turn it on, then wait for it to be done." I long for you I long for your knowledge of rock bottom easy recipes please help me. These gods demand I chop an onion and fry some vegetables but I am not like them and cannot live up to their standards.

I might be.. allergic or just sensitive to the smell of my new water mixable oil paints. 🤦
which wouldn't be that surprising since I'm sensitive to a lot of scents/perfume type stuff (don't know if it's an allergy yet, it just makes my nose and the area around it burn and stuff.)
buuut that is pretty damn disappointing. I didn't want to try regular oil paint because I figured that wouldn't work well for me. ugh. I'll keep using them tonight and see if it gets any better (or worse)

ohhh LOL i get it im getting April Fooled (lol!). trans day orf visibility is tomorrow.
#trans day of visibility#trans day of eating food#i love bein a fuckin transsexual... and i love food#breakfast was almond butter + strawberry preserves + butter sammich. more filling than i thought it would be#ouuuhh i have so much celery and spinach i need to use before it goes bad but im almost out of miso paste#pro tip for you people out there make very hot miso broth. put raw vegetables + spices in it. cover it and let it sit maybe 10-15 minutes#add a carbohydrate & or protein and maybe some sort of dairy or sauces (naysayers and haters may bring forth vitriol and venom for this but#an unsweetened greek yogurt goes great in miso. tangy creamy & savory flavor. it awesome)#consider adding oil for flavor and for the absorption of fat soluble nutrients oft found in vegetables#and there you go big breakfast warm healthy and no cooking tastes good every time#well you might need to cook the carbohydrate/protein but the method goes great with big batch cooking / using leftovers#its not the definition of high cuisine but breakfast must come and go each day and some days the stove is an enemy of the people.#OH I GOTTA SAY. SCRAMBLED EGGS TASTES SO GOOD IN THERE. YOU GOTTA IF YOU WANNA. you just put it in#it circumvents the scrambles 1 fatal flaw by stopping them from going dry and becoming a torturous texture to endure. kind of genius.#art#drawing#digital art#my art#transgender art#transgender artist#transgender#trans#trans pride#lgbt#this year i would like to. somehow get out of where im currently living. so i can finally start transitioning.#another year gone by without it and it's weighing heavy.

this might be blasphemous but I am so used to the taste of margarine that I do genuinely prefer to use it in cooking over butter

Shitty soldering job, right?
WRONG
That, my friends, is epoxy.
This one got filed under "haha NOPE" because the cost of the repair would not have been worth it. Epoxy does not melt and wipe off the way solder does; I would have had to basically chisel it off, and who knows how long that would have taken me.

i made brownies to contribute dessert and it just hit me last night that i did so with the brownie mix she used, adding walnuts bc she always does (my cousin picked up on this instantly too it was sweet actually), using her measuring cup and her whisk and her spatula and her vegetable oil and her baking pan. but it’s not even a memory i can look back on and you know, do in her honor. we didn’t bake together, i just ate and loved her desserts once they got to the table. so it’s just like a reminder bc i’m using all her stuff to make this thing
