Such an amazing time yesterday with some of the #Usawaolaves team doing my second #colourrun2017 Completely drained today but so worth it. Thank you to all the other ladies as well as our adopted male member for the day for pushing me around and helping me do this again. 💕😊💪

#Usawaolaves Jess Cochran and Samantha McLeod at Girls Rock 2017 today. We had an amazing time learning new skills and building new networks for the next year in the world of Girl Guides. On top of some brilliant workshops we also heard wonderful talks from Emma Gee an amazing young woman who spoke straight to my heart with her talk bouncing back and using person centred care and resilience. We then had an incredible soul touching talk from Hugh van Cuylenburg @theresilienceproject This speak completely hit home for me having lived with mental illness and battling an eating disorder from 8 years of age. Hugh thank you so much for a talk that had us thinking, laughing, learning, and most of all becoming more loving, caring and mindfulness within ourselves and towards others. I am sure that we all learnt some valuable lessons from both Hugh and Em and I can't wait to put what I have learnt in to action. @usawaolaves @girlsrock2017 #guidesvic @miss.macleod @emg1234 #loveyourself #selfcare #awareness #girlguidesdoitbetter
