Hey Mais so I'm curious to know what the public perception on the hocane sisters is like (I'm new to Pak dramas). I previously saw a lot of twts/videos trolling them but I don't get why they were being trolled in the first place? Did something specific happen? However recently videos of Marwa and urwa discussing marital rape, messaging via dramas etc making the rounds on twitter. Suddenly everyone is praising them. Goes to show how fickle people are I guess. Also off topic was Farhan popular pre mere humsafar?
well yeah people are fickle especially when it comes to how they treat celebrities. the Hocane sisters started in the industry when they were still teenagers if I am not wrong? and they just did some things which people deemed troll worthy (starting from changing their spellings from Hussain to Hocane). more than Urwa, Mawra was trolled because of the tweets she made back when she was young. the girl was an unabashed Ranbir Kapoor fangirl and used to advocate for the Pak-India peaceful relationships which people thought was just her trying to keep her career in Bollywood going. so yeah..nothing astounding. the usual thing that happens to most celebs that dare to be themselves on social media. and if i am not wrong I think Mawra was the first (?) social media savvy person? like i remember her her flaunting her insta followers in a time when not everyone was on the app or if they were, didn't have the kind of following. so that also added to the trolling that Mawra relied on her social media presence to bag projects more than her acting abilities. Urwa has generally been less trolled than her sister.
yes, Farhan has been popular before Mere Humsafar both as a singer and as an actor.
#anyone else more to add?#i am only replying through my memory..so accuracy not guaranteed#urwa hocane#mawra hocane#farhan saeed

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما :
"Seven types of marriages are unlawful because of blood relations, and seven because of marriage relations." Then Ibn 'Abbas recited the Verse: "Forbidden for you (for marriages) are your mothers..." (4:23). 'Abdullah bin Ja'far married the daughter and wife of 'Ali رضی اللہ عنہ at the same time (they were step-daughter and mother). Ibn Sirin said, "There is no harm in that." But Al-Hasan Al-Basri disapproved of it at first, but then said that there was no harm in it. Al-Hasan bin Al-Hasan bin 'Ali married two of his cousins in one night. Ja'far bin Zaid disapproved of that because of it would bring hatred (between the two cousins), but it is not unlawful, as Allah said, "Lawful to you are all others [beyond those (mentioned)]. (4:24). Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما said: "If somebody commits illegal sexual intercourse with his wife's sister, his wife does not become unlawful for him." And narrated Abu Ja'far, "If a person commits homosexuality with a boy, then the mother of that boy is unlawful for him to marry." Narrated Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما , "If one commits illegal sexual intercourse with his mother in law, then his married relation to his wife does not become unlawful." Abu Nasr reported to have said that Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما in the above case, regarded his marital relation to his wife unlawful, but Abu Nasr is not known well for hearing Hadith from Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما . Imran bin Hussain, Jabir b. Zaid, Al-Hasan and some other Iraqi's, are reported to have judged that his marital relations to his wife would be unlawful. In the above case Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ said, "The marital relation to one's wife does not become unlawful except if one as had sexual intercourse (with her mother)." Ibn Al-Musaiyab, 'Urwa, and Az-Zuhri allows such person to keep his wife. 'Ali رضی اللہ عنہ said, "His marital relations to his wife does not become unlawful."

who do you think was the best dressed at QHSA ?
i haven’t seen all the pictures yet but im a sucker for these types of looks. So I’d go for Sonya Hussayn for now. I think she has a nice sense of fashion but she goes unnoticed.
I know you didn’t ask this but the worst dressed 90% of the time its Urwa Hocane or Mehwish Hayat for me.

🍂🥀🍂 Martyrs of Ashura 🍂🥀🍂
🍂🥀 Al-Qasim son of Hassan (as) 🥀🍂
Al-Qasim (as) was in his teens. In the single combat, he prevailed over several renowned warriors including the renowned Syrian, al-Arzaq and his brothers.
When the enemy made a general attack with all his might, Al-Qasim (as) fought with great courage and the ferocity of his attack scattered the enemy whom he pursued right into the midst of Yazid’s army. Sa’d bin Urwa bin Nufeil, a vile soldier of Yazid, hid himself and when Al-Qasim (as) passed in pursuit of the fleeing soldiers who attacked him from behind so ferociously that Al- Qasim (as) fell off his horse.
The enemy, seeing Al-Qasim (as) lying on the ground, regrouped and attacked him.
Hearing Al-Qasim’s (as) cries, Abbas (as), Ali ِِِAl-Akbar (as), and Imam Hussain (as), rushed to rescue him, but the hoofs of horses of the retreating forces of Yazid trampled him badly.
When Al-Qasim (as) bent to mend his shoe, the villainy spirit which was represented by Azdi began to control him. This is what Hameed bin Muslim meant when he narrated the following:
Umar bin Sa'ad bin Nufayl Azdi said, “I have the desire to attack him”. I said, “Glory be to Allah!
Why so?
This army which has surrounded him from all sides will surely kill him”. He said, “By Allah! I shall attack him, and I will make his mother weep over him”.
He attacked him while the child was fixing his shoe and before he could turn his face towards him, he dealt a blow upon his head with his sword and slit it.
The child fell down on his face upon the ground and called out, “Peace be up on you, O dear uncle! Come to my aid”.
Then I saw Imam Hussain (as) standing at the head of Qasim (as), who was stretching his feet upon the ground.
Imam Hussain (as) said, “By Allah! It is hard upon your uncle that he could not come to your aid when you called him, or he answered but it could not benefit you”.
Then Imam Hussain (as) said: "By Allah! Here he has numerous murderers while his aides are quite less”.
Imam Hussain (as) leaned down to Al-Qasim (as) and held him to his chest, embracing him, and took him towards the camp. Whereas at this influential scene Imam Hussain (as) bent and bent down, Al-Qasim’s (as) feet were drawing lines on earth, but why?
Was it because he was taller than Imam Hussain? (as) No, but because the misfortune of losing of Al-Qasim (as), foiled the morale of our Imam.
Imam Hussain (as) arrived to the tent and lay him down in the tent of the martyrs. Then he said,” O cousins, patience on death! You won’t see any mortification, after this day, alas!”.

Martrydom of Imam Hussain [a.s]'s Ambassador Muslim bin Aqeel [a.s]
Ibn Ziyad’s contingent of three hundred men surrounded the house of Tou’ah that was in a narrow lane. Muslim [a.s] came out of the house and faced the soldiers who were forced to come two at a time because of the narrowness of the lane. Muslim [a.s] killed a major portion of the contingent. The commandant, Muhammad ibn al-Ash’ath, had to send for reinforcement several times. At this, Ibn Ziyad became angry and asked the commandant if he would need the entire army to catch a single person. The commandant, Muhammad bin al-Ash’ath, silenced ibn Ziyad with this reply:“We are not after a petty shop keeper. We are encountering a lion of the family of Hashim. If you are so brave, you may yourself come and conduct the operation.” Ibn Ziyad then ordered that either by offering safety or by any sly means Muslim should be captured.
Finding it impossible to pry out Muslim [a.s] from his advantageous position, Muhammad ibn al-Ash’ath employed an old Umayyad trick. He sent his soldiers to the rooftops of adjoining houses and asked them to throw burning torches soaked in oil. The entire lane was filled with choking smoke and burning torches. The commandant asked his soldiers to dig a trench at the entrance of the street and cover it up with sticks and grass. Unable to bear the heat and smoke, Muslim [a.s] came out fighting. He fell into the covered and concealed trench and was captured.
According to al-Mas’udi, Muhammad ibn al-Ash’ath offered a truce of safety without any duplicity. Muslim [a.s] agreed to this and surrendered himself.
However, the earlier version reported in al-Malhoof and Manaqib of Shahr Ashoob that Muslim was trapped in a ditch and captured, and the later version of al-Mas’udi that ibn al-Ash’ath promised asylum are incidents that followed one another and therefore both versions are reliable.
Muslim [a.s] told al-Ash’ath, “I am afraid you will not be able to keep up your promise or provide me any safety. Therefore, as a last wish, I ask you to convey the message to Imam al-Hussain [a.s] that the people of Kufa have betrayed us and that al-Hussain [a.s] should avoid Kufa and go to some other place.” Muhammad ibn al-Ash’ath took Muslim to Ubaidullah Ibn Ziyad’s palace and said that he had promised protection to him. Ibn Ziyad became angry and asked, “Who has authorized you to give any guarantee of protection? Your duty was to bring Muslim [a.s] here and you have nothing else to do now.”
Muslim bin Amr al-Bahli took charge of Muslim bin Aqeel [a.s]. Muslim [a.s] asked for water to quench his burning thirst, but the request was refused. Then, Imara bin Uqba according to some historians and according to some others Amr bin Hureith sent his servant to bring a mug of water. When Muslim [a.s] tried to drink the water, blood fell from his mouth filling the cup.💔 Muslim [a.s] attempted thrice, but on all three attempts, his blood filled the cup. On the last attempt, his teeth fell in the cup due to a serious injury in his mouth, inflicted by Bukeir bin Hamran al-Ahmeri.💔Muslim [a.s] threw the cup saying that it appeared that he would be killed while being thirsty.
Muslim [a.s] told Umar Bin Sa’d who was sitting with ibn Ziyad:“You are related to me, though distantly. I would like to make a last will to you personally before I am killed.” When Umar bin Sa’d declined, Ubeidullah ibn Ziyad said, “Go aside and listen to his last will. After all, he is your relative.” Muslim [a.s] and Umar bin Sa’d went to a corner on the terrace. Muslim [a.s] said, “I owe seven hundred dirhams, which I used for my food… etc. I want that you may take the responsibility of discharging it from my own funds lying in Medina. Secondly, my dead body should be given a decent burial according to Islamic rites. Lastly, but the most important is that you should arrange to send a message to Imam Hussain [a.s] asking him not to come to Kufa at any cost.” Amr ibn al-Aas informed ibn Ziyad about the last wishes of Muslim [a.s]. Ibn Ziyad said, “A trustee never betrays his trust. But sometimes mistakenly thieves are made trustees.” Then Ibn Ziyad said to Muslim [a.s], “You may deal with your money as you please. As for Husayn, we will do what we intend to do. And as for your dead body, why you bother about what is done to it.”
Ibn Ziyad then started blaspheming and cursing Muslim bin Aqeel [a.s] and Imam Hussain [a.s] with false allegations. Muslim [a.s] refuted the false allegations and reiterated that neither he nor Imam Husayn [a.s] had ever intended to divide the Ummah. Muslim [a.s] said that ibn Ziyad and his master Yazid bin Mu’awiya were the ones who were breaking the Islamic tenets and were making un-Islamic innovations. Ibn Ziyad became angry and said, “I see that you shall be killed in a manner in which none was ever killed before in the history of Islam.” To this, Muslim [a.s] replied, “You are a hard hearted tyrant and a heathen capable of all such innovations.” Ibn Ziyad then ordered, and Bukeir bin Hamran beheaded Muslim ibn Aqeel [a.s] and threw down the headless body from the turret into the cobblers’ market. Hani was beheaded by Rashid (a Turkish slave of Ubaidullah ibn Ziyad) in the market of meat vendors.
The headless bodies of Muslim ibn Aqeel [a.s] and Hani ibn Urwa [a.s] were dragged through the markets.💔 When the clan of Bani Muthhaj, to which Hani [a.s] belonged, learnt about this, the entire clan rose up in revolt, rescued the headless bodies and buried them according to the Islamic rites.
Later Muslim’s [a.s] severed head was mounted on a lance and taken along with the severed head of Hani ibn Urwa [a.s] to Damascus.💔 On seeing the heads, Yazid gloated over them and directed that the heads should be hung in the arch of the main entrance of Damascus. Yazid issued orders that people should be imprisoned on the slightest suspicion or even false allegation to be punished severely.

🍂🥀🍂 Martyrs of Ashura 🍂🥀🍂
🍂🥀 al-Qasim (ra) 🥀🍂
🍂 Son of Imam Hasan (as) 🍂
al-Qasim (ra) was in his teens. In the single combat, he prevailed over several renowned warriors including the renowned Syrian, al-Arzaq and his brothers. When the enemy made a general attack with all his might, al-Qasim (ra) fought with great courage and the ferocity of his attack scattered the enemy whom he pursued right into the midst of Yazid’s (La) army.
