The Enchanting Complexity of Simplicity: URST's "ABSURDO" Enter the paradoxical world of URST's latest release, "ABSURDO". A hypnotic fusion of lo-fi hip hop beats, neo-soul elements, and easy listening instrumentals, there's a seemingly incongruous beauty to be found in this soul-stirring single. The song is brought to life by the solo project of Carlos Uriostegui, a multi-talented instrumentalist deft to the prowess of the piano, while also demonstrating skills in bass guitar and drums. https://open.spotify.com/track/4lRSQ8FyzFGBrC7AalFV2d 'ABSURDO', as the name suggests, delves deep into the perplexities of life, attempting to articulate the abstract sensations we sometimes feel, acknowledging that life can be both beautifully complex yet strikingly simple. The track's effortless balance between soft mellow melodies and captivating instrumentals truly captures the essence of this feeling, providing a soundtrack for moments of self-reflection. The song's backbone lays within its instrumentals; one could easily feel captivated by the rich piano chords and subtle drum beats; their textures and harmonies create hypnotic undertones. Though reminiscent of the modern lo-fi hip hop genre, there is an artful twist to Carlos's approach, weaving in neo-soul influences with expert finesse. Love Letter to the Soul: Lili Joy’s Gentle Release, “She” While the dreamy piano and bass guitar lend soulful warmth to 'ABSURDO', the drums have a grounding effect, meshing everything into a cohesive musical tapestry. The layered instrumentals embody a certain ebb and flow, transporting the listener to a warm, enveloping atmosphere, ripe for contemplation and introspection. Herein, a sense of nostalgia may be evoked too, as the music illuminates glimpses of golden eras gone by. [caption id="attachment_50070" align="alignnone" width="1024"] The Enchanting Complexity of Simplicity: URST's "ABSURDO"[/caption] Listeners will be hard-pressed to ignore the emotional expression akin to the style of legendary artists like D'Angelo or Erykah Badu. However, URST's 'ABSURDO' stands as its own entity, an experimental exploration of sounds and emotions. The production is immaculate, inviting us to delve deeper into the layers and nuances that form the crux of this intriguing musical experience. Amidst the soothing melodies and intricate rhythms, "ABSURDO" fosters a sense of familiar nostalgia, enriched by its euphonious instrumentals. It's a song to get lost in, a mesmerizing journey of self-discovery and introspection, with instrumentals reminiscent of our favorite late-night coffeehouse jams. This unique blend of soothing neo-soul elements, gentle lo-fi hip hop beats, and evocative storytelling creates a distinct soundscape, ripe for healing. URST's "ABSURDO" encapsulates the spirit of easy listening, while still stirring up profound emotions. Therein lies the magic of Carlos Uriostegui's craft: his ability to compose a haunting embodiment of life's absurdities through a genuinely relaxing, engaging piece of music. To sum up, "ABSURDO" is a wonderfully crafted musical gem that manages to intrigue and soothe with every note. The effortless union of lo-fi hip hop and neo-soul works in perfect harmony to offer listeners a luscious auditory escape. Carlos Uriostegui, in his solo project URST, has indeed unveiled a masterpiece that leaves us yearning for more. Follow URST on YouTube.

In celebration of National Cookie Day today, December 4th, we’re sharing Scott Teplin and Mark Wagner’s charming book Fortune. Published in 2000 by Birdbrain Press and Urst Books in Brooklyn, N.Y. in an edition of 100 copies, Fortune is a playful analysis of the predictions found in, and etiquette of eating fortune cookies.
Teplin and Wagner are both originally from Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1995. They are prolific artists, but it seems Fortune is their only collaboration perhaps in conjunction with the 2000 Artists Book show at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Special Collections holds several other books from the artists, including Teplin’s Pope Ivory’s Brain Juices and Wagner’s Smoke in My Dreams, Fortune’s Daughter: An Allegory of Greed, or, Midas, and Souvenir.
Fortune is a single sheet accordion folded book mounted to the front cover. The front and back cover boards are bound with red ribbon.

can't express just how much Jim means to me, especially seeing everything they went through this season. The harrowing realizations that they had to make, stepping up to be the comforting comic relief in the absence of Ivan to help Fang feel better because he's part of that family too.
I know they loved every single member of that crew and damnit that includes Izzy but fuck thats not even the hardest part of it all to me.
What hits the hardest is that they were stripped of everything meaningful to them in a matter of seconds. Their crew, their way of life, their safety, their sanctuary, their best friend, their family. Forced to walk the shell of a home they built for better or worse amongst some of the worst pirates they've ever had the immense pleasure of plundering with.
And they never gave up hope. When pushed to their absolute limit, Jim chose to lean into the love they found on The Revenge instead of taking the easy route and letting the hatred and fear consume them. The leveps of growth every single chara ter displays in this show is immeasurable.
JIM
jim being pushed to the breaking point. jim longing for the old days. jim realizing that what they had was good and missing their idiots and when life meant something and that's so important because jim was raised to think what life meant was vengeance and death and taking the blood that was owed and then they found a place that was better and ED WAS A PART OF THAT BETTER
the ship was a home and the ship was a family and jim became someone who could have those things again on this ship and that's why they have so much despair and that's why they protect everyone they can and why they refuse to fight archie to the death and even why they find it in themself to kill again
because ed lived, but jim was going to kill him. jim was not going to let someone else destroy their family again.

New To Forex? Consider Some Of This Advice By Janis Urste
Janis Urste  Foreign exchange, also known as Forex, is a dynamic and complicated process of trading foreign currencies. For the most experienced traders of foreign exchange, leveraging the most current information and techniques is crucial for success. This article provides you with some of the tips and tricks needed to succeed in today's foreign exchange market.
When trading in Forex, risk management is always more important than profit. It only takes a single catastrophic loss to wipe out your entire account unless you are careful about managing your risk. Remember, if you lose too much, you don't have enough capital left to continue your Forex trading.
It is very important that you do what you understand when you are trading Forex. If you do not understand why you are making an investment, you should not make that investment. If you rely on intelligence and knowledge for all of your investments, you will have a better chance of getting a good payout.
Janis Urste  Professional tips provider. Never become optimistic without a reason. If your trade is not doing as well as you had hoped, get out of the market when you do not feel it is right. False optimism can lose you a lot of money in the long run, as you should always have a reason for staying in.
As a beginning forex trader, a fast computer and Internet connection are essential. You're going to need to check the markets as often as possible, and things can change drastically in a heartbeat. Day traders need to stay as alert as possible to stay aware of rapid changes in the exchange.
Come up with a strategy that is simple to understand and to explain. There is no need for an overly complicated plan or for excessively difficult analysis of your decisions. A simple plan that you know how to follow, along with clear, measurable goals, provide the most certain path to long-term success.
Janis Urste  Expert tips provider. Do not put all of your confidence in a particular formula or trading tool. Traders make the mistake of thinking that the forex market requires complicated graphs and charts and formulas to make a profit. These charts can actually hurt you by providing too much conflicting data. Work with the price charts and follow the market trends.
A good forex trading tip is to be aware of your intentions. If you're decision to become a forex trader is because you desperately need the money, then you're in it for the wrong reasons. Having a genuine interest in trading is what makes a good forex trader.
Avoid highly leveraged accounts when you are new to forex trading. Though rewards can potentially be phenomenal with a win, a loss will be a multiplied disaster. Do not get any leverage on your account until you have been trading a while and better understand the risks involved with leverage.
No matter what type of situation you come across while using forex, you'll always need a plan to navigate through it. A good idea is to take the current strategy you're using and revise it every week or even every day. Check over your data and see how you can tweak your overall strategy to get out of jams when the time comes.
When it comes to closing out your positions in forex, there is a proper order to doing so. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but you should always close out your losing positions before closing out the winning ones. Some keep the losers open for too long in hopes that they'll somehow become winners.
Janis Urste  Qualified tips provider. If you can bring strong math skills to your forex trading, concentrate on "technical" trading. Technical trading focuses on analyzing the markets themselves to predict future behavior. Advanced tools like Fibonacci retracement will help you divine the trends on the markets if you are comfortable with numbers. Technical trading is not for everyone but it can be highly effective.
When using a demo Forex trading system, try your hardest to imagine that the money you are trading with is real. If you do not, you will end up picking up very bad habits that are likely cost you real money when you go to make trades in the actual money market.
When trading with Forex, make sure you use a secure connection, or a platform that uses a safe method of encryption if you are trading from your mobile phone. Even if the odds seem slim, your account could be hacked in and your money stolen. Do not give your account information to anyone.
Be actively involved in choosing the trades to make. You simply cannot trust this to software. While software may be able to make some calculations based on the numbers system of Forex trading, it can't replace the insight, intuition, instincts, and intelligence that only human beings are capable of using to make sound and successful trading decisions.
Don't lose your patience. Trading a lot will not make you money, but acting on the best trades and spotting them will. Be patient and wait for the right time. Don't trade just for the sake of trading. You might get lucky a few times and this will not be very consistent.
Do not feel attached to a currency. This emotional attachment can get in the way of profitable trading, as you can never really predict what a currency will be doing the next day. Traders often fall into the trap of "marrying" a currency, and they will often lose money in the process.
Before choosing a Forex broker, find out as much information as you can about how they operate. Make sure to ask the right questions. For example, is their company in a sound financial condition? Are the spreads fixed or variable? Do they have any trading restrictions? Can you earn interest on positive rolls? Are you allowed to hedge? How's the customer service? The more information you learn, the better your chance of finding a broker that matches your personal trading style.
Janis Urste  Top service provider. As the beginning of the article mentioned, the most current information, tips and techniques are crucial to success as a trader of foreign exchange, also known as Forex. Those without the proper information are sure to fail in this exciting, ever changing field. Use the hints in this article to help you as you begin to explore the Forex industry.

Mumbo gets whiney when ill, not stoic like mahy people believe. He gets picked up by Grian, who will go on with all his daily tasks with thw addition of a sniffly, whiney Mumbo in his arms or on his lap.
Mumbo will occasionally just urst into tears and Grian has to slowly let him calm down, treating him like a sweet baby. Surprisingly, Grian doesn't even tease Mumboa bout his, as he knows it's just Mumbo's hybrid brain going into cat-mode
Mumbo knows it's stupid. He knows he's being a big baby about things. But thinking about that just makes him feel worse and then it starts all over again!
Which means he just has to wait it out, and feel very lucky to have such a patient and understanding boyfriend.

plot drop !!
Characters are convinced they are molding, a fungus rotting them from the inside out. Will they progress or become caught up in the need to cleanse themselves? Fire can be cleansing.
Tumblr media
after crossing the stream, in nezuko's naivety she thought she were safe.. they were safe; but coming across the next room.. she was met with a hard disgusting taste that coated her tongue, and feelings of rot.. "ezra.." the girl sobbed, fingers still interlocked with his- not letting go since they crossed the stream. "what's happening to me?" she called out; swearing she could see spots of green appearing on her skin; it sent shivers down her spine.. in this moment she wanted tanjiro- her older brother to explain- to protect her.. pink eyes could only help but to look at him, he protected her back there.. he wouldn't leave her now, but she felt pure disgust.. pure insanity; as she dropped his hand in an act to scrub herself; nails digging into her skin; ignoring the blood that dropped near her skin. in her mind she felt herself decaying rapidly; she wasn't sure what to do.. and as her feet covered in her blood; she couldn't help but to explore the idea of burning it off.. knowing her blood could be manipulated into flames, desperate eyes still stuck on him as she gave a frightened smile; an attempt to somehow comfort him, "stand back." she told; not wanting to infect him, or get him involved in her flames. "thank you." perhaps her famous last words, she never got to have last words.. but she was extremely thankful for him, thankful for him showing her how to skateboard, for carrying her across the water.. for giving her the mundane experience of feeling butterflies in her stomach, and before she knew it she found herself engulfed in her own iron flames..
ezra reached out to take her hand, no hesitation in his mind. he would make sure they got across the rushing stream safely. "yes, we'll go together." without knowing the abilities he possessed, he still managed to use it when he was focused. as they descended into the stream, using his concentration the stream seemed to slowdown around them, keeping them safe as they attempted to cross.

Summary: Set during S2 Little Green Men, Scully takes Mulder to a motel in Miami to recuperate after they flee Puerto Rico. Once he’s recovered from the dehydration she has some questions regarding his mysterious lunch date.
The air conditioner buzzed in the dark hotel room, blocking out the Miami heat but blowing the blinds just enough to let slithers of light in. He should be sleeping, between the dehydration and the state he was in when Scully found him, a hospital stay with some fluids would have been the smarter choice. Then again, if Mulder had made smarter decisions he wouldn’t be lying in a budget motel with his favorite redhead using his chest as her own personal body pillow and taped evidence of UFOs.
“You’re not sleeping? Are you feeling nauseous again? Drink your fluids.”
Mumbled from his chest Scully blindly reached for his Gatorade concoction on the bedside table and pushed it on him. With a slight chuckle, Mulder obediently drank, he knew not to argue with a sleepy Dr Scully, especially seeing she had just saved his life and risked herself for no other reason than to help him.
“I’m okay Scully, the sunlight just woke me up I think. Go back to sleep.”
Putting the empty bottle on the bedside table, Mulder gently stroked Scully’s hair and let out a yawn. ‘Why did she come?’ His brain was now fixated on that question and he couldn’t stop churning it over in his mind. They were no longer Partners and he had not been a particularly good friend to her since The X Files was shut down.
“Mulder, what’s wrong? You’re tensing up, are you feeling nauseous?”
Sitting up to look at him, Scully inspected his pupils, gently running her hands through his hair more than was medically necessary.
“Why are you here Scully?”
Scully’s eyes crinkled in confusion and a frown formed on her lips.
“I was worried about you. I didn’t know what trouble you got yourself into- I just thought you might need me.”
Grabbing her hand with his Mulder slowly made eye contact with Scully, letting her see the vulnerability in his eyes without the usual mask of deflection he normally wore as a defense mechanism.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had a friend like you- if ever. Scully, I’m sorry I’ve been an ass, I didn’t want to risk something happening to you. It was stupid, thank you for being here.”
Nestling back down on Mulder’s chest, Scully made herself comfortable as she replied.
“You’re welcome Mulder, but no more clandestine outings in D.C ok?”
“Fine.”
“Your heart rate has slowed down and your breathing is a lot less labored now, I think the hydration solution is working.”
With a smile Mulder scoffed.
“No, I think it’s just having you here. For the first time in months I feel this overarching sense that things are going to be okay. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I also have this strange urge to protect you.”
With her eyes still closed, a feint smile was the only hint that gave her amusement away.
“That’s not surprising Mulder, studies have shown that our bodies are wired to respond to physical contact after a traumatic event, the autonomic nervous system floods the body with hormones to help deactivate the flight or fight reflexes. As for the impulse to protect me, I assume that’s just a latent Neanderthal complex.”
Mulder’s body vibrated with a chuckle, holding Scully closer to him as he replied.
“Keep talking like that Scully and I won’t be clubbing you and bringing you back to my cave.”
“Don’t worry Mulder, if someone breaks in here you can flail at them with your club while I grab my gun and shoot them.”
“My protector!”
A silence fell over the room and Mulder marveled at how much he missed this playful banter with Scully. Her sharp wit always kept him on his toes he mused, as he brushed an errant strain of hair off her face.
“Speaking of potential threats Mulder, you got a call from a woman while I was at your apartment. She seemed pretty mad; you stood her up for your lunch date?”
Scully was proud that her voice had managed to make her inquiry sound casual, but she was very interested in the details. Mulder tried to fein obliviousness for a moment but the moment he looked into Scully’s sharp eyes he knew she wasn’t buying it and crumbled.
“Oh, that was Becky from forensic accounting.”
This got Scully’s attention and she bolted upright.
“Wait, you asked Becky out?! You know she stole my lunch Mulder!”
Trying to hide his amusement at Scully’s reaction, Mulder held his hands up in defense.
“It was just yogurt-”
“It had my name on it and she ate it in front of me! What kind of person does that? Seriously, of all the people at the FBI, I can’t believe you asked her out.”
Scully punctuated her rant with a hard shove on Mulder’s shoulder, and moved away from him on the bed. With a glare she violently grabbed the pillow under his head and took it for herself as she turned her back to him. With a hard thud Mulder’s head hit the bed, and he couldn’t help but be amused by Scully’s reaction, he liked that this bothered her. Rolling over to invade Scully’s space, Mulder tried to gently touch Scully’s arm but she pulled away dramatically.
“It’s not like that Scully. I needed a cover for my trip, so I asked her to lunch to throw anyone off the trail because she's not discreet and would tell half the Hoover building we had plans.”
Mulder rolled back, lying flat on the bed and letting his words sink in.
“Wait, you asked her out to lunch knowing you were going to stand her up?”
“Well, you told me she stole your yogurt- ”
“Mulder! She sounded really pissed, what are you going to say when you see her?”
“I’ll say ‘sorry’, and if that doesn’t work maybe you can shoot her?”
“Deal.”
With a chuckle Scully handed Mulder back the pillow and resumed her position of lying on his chest. It took only seconds for her to start feeling the sweet pull of sleep calling her.
“Hey Scully-“
Knowing he wouldn’t stop unless she acknowledged him Scully uttered a reply.
“Yeah…”
“I love you.”
“Thanks Mulder. Maybe, I’d love you more if you shut up so we could get some sleep.”
With a snort Mulder acknowledged her request but she could feel he wasn’t finished yet.
“Can you get me the 2inch player from Quantico Monday? I want you to be there when I play you back what I heard, it was crazy!”
“Yes Mulder, but don’t get your hopes up, there was a lot of electrical discharge in the room. We don’t know if the recording was ok or what we can even do with it.”
“I know, I just want you to hear it.”
“Mulder. Sleep.”
“Fine. At least I know not to eat your yogurt.”
“Don’t make me shoot you.”
And with that they both fell into a heavy sleep, their bodies strung out on adrenaline, needing to fuel up for whatever awaited them at home.

Good evening! And/or morning/day
Do we know how Paul met Aljoscha at the beginning of Feeling B?
I know Flake talks about his own meeting and the formation of their previous band, but Paul's already there in those stories, if memory serves me right?
Good evening/day/morning!
Yes, as a matter of fact we do, from the book 'Mix mir einen Drink - Feeling B - Punk im Osten' (from page 41), and like with Flake they first met Alexander Kriening and Aljoscha through him
As it's been ages since i have done a book quote, i'll do this one 🌺 Paul tells the story
Wochenende in Ostberlin.
Tumblr media
"I met Kriening in 1982 at some loud concert in the Kulturpark Plänterwald. Then we drove to my childhood room together and I jumped up and down in front of him and played my ideas to him. I thought up songs and played them for him jumping around. In the meantime I had sawed off the neck on my 'Iris' guitar, which I've been doing ever since. I have to put my own touch to it. "Let's make a band together," Kriening said and actually almost exactly a year later called and made an appointment with me at 1 p.m. for the next day at Senefelderplatz. He arrived around 2 p.m. with an older man. I pestered him and kept asking Kriening who that was, but he kept cutting me off. He just said briefly, we’re going to the pub now. I had never been to a pub in my life, I was somehow brought up in a funny way. I didn't want to go to this pub and said without further ado, I'm sick! "Aha, you're sick, then you'll get a herbal liqueur," was the first sentence that Alyosha said to me. So we went to the 'Sportlerklause' next to a police station and the two older ones started drinking right away. I had to drink herbal liqueur. Then we went to Aljoscha's apartment at Fehrbelliner Strasse 7 and that really impressed me. At the time, he lived in an attic apartment: simple floor-to-ceiling windows, the roof in places oddly insulated, and open in other parts. Pretty freaky, I thought that was a good thing. I came from Baumschulenweg, where there was carpet everywhere, it was a bit dirtier here. That was my first contact with Prenzlauer Berg. Kriening then opened up to me, that's our singer and I immediately said: "No, not such an old man!" In addition, Aljoscha's feet in his sneakers stunk so badly, it was just unbelievable to me. He always wore sneakers with no socks, it was hell! It would stay that way with the feet."
(Diary entry April 1, 1983) Yesterday I was in the underworld with Kriening. We were with a musician, bald in the front, curls, purple cloth, disgusting, senseless screeching, laughing, totally stuffed *1) , but has a really great apartment. A punk band was rehearsing under his roof. I don't know if I really want to be a musician. I'm terrified of associating with such yucky people. I felt really bad, I felt like I was in 'Tatort' *2) and asked myself, why am I learning and practicing? Felt like someone who goes to a children's home, far away from all your friends.
"After two hours we were sitting around, happy and drunk, in his attic apartment. Now the age difference was no longer noticeable and I had come to terms with the fact that he would be our singer. When I talked to Aljoscha, he didn't even seem so old anymore, I've gotten used to him. He just sparkled with ideas. Right on the first evening we came up with the title 'I'm Invisible'. It was an idea of mine, and Aljoscha wrote down a text for it. Aljoscha grinded out a few texts from me right away, he sat down with a piece of paper and wrote everything down. I was already a few texts poorer. Aljoscha was very good at that anyway, taking ideas away from people. But in a positive sense, he literally sucked them dry. He sucked people up like a sponge. If you didn't use the ideas right away, they usually just got lost. Aljoscha was good at stealing ideas, but there was usually a problem with the implementation."
(Diary entry April 6, 1983) Aljoscha, that's the guy I found so dumb at first, he's really good. Swiss citizen, studies over there from Monday to Friday. Weekend in East Berlin. Again an example to not judge people by first impressions. I think I like Aljoscha. The band, i thought it, but it won't work. I'll talk to them about it. I just don't feel like committing myself. If I imagine planning Friday evening forever, Saturday too - no. But if I don't join, I'll miss a lot...
1) not really sure what 'im Stoff' would be translated, but i assume from the context something like 'not sober'
2) Tatort is a very famous longrunning german tv show about crimes, so he compairs it to being ata crimescene from that show

Just to present an opposing view for a moment…
I find haladriel romantic ship content a bit frustrating because I like the idea of them as platonic friends.
From a storytelling perspective, her value as one of the only goddam female lead characters in all of lotr doesn’t automatically translate to her needing to be an object of romance. Can’t we just enjoy our female badass legend superelf warrior being awesome without all this urst overlay bs? Do our little girls really need to be looking up to female characters who are leaders and saviors of their people, also going on about dudes all the time???
Tumblr media
Also I feel like in the Tolkien universe elves are living forever so they don’t really need sexual energy - like Legolas is allowed to be a warrior and his relationships are all strong friendships.
I appreciate Prime for the lack of urst, and I’m happy with the non-romantic platonic haladriel ship I have created for them in my head.
I shall continue to enjoy that!
