Today is the first anniversary of the Brazilian Dub of Overflow! (No, seriously, this H anime premiered on April Fools)

Last year, I watched the premiere of each episode. Overflow was the first h anime to be dubbed in Brazil after 26 years!

The first dubbed H anime in Brazil was Legend of the Overfiend (Urotsukidouji) in 1998.

I wasn’t old enough to watch Legend of the Overfiend on late night tv when it aired so I’ve decided to watch the premiere of Overflow for the experience of seeing a H anime dubbed in my own language.

I was a funny experience and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it hehehehehehe

This is certanly a movie you can watch.

The premise of a prophecy saying that every 3000 years a being is reborn to bring three separete worlds togheter and cause the apocalypse is interesting and I might steal it for a d&d camping.

Other than that this movie is a real piece of history. Being the first time a staple of anime stereotypes was put in a story.

Every 3,000 years the human world (人間界, Ningenkai) is united with the demon world (魔界, Makai) and the man-beast world (獣人界, Jūjinkai) by the revival of the Super God (超神, Chōjin, known as the Overfiend in the English version). The saga follows Jyaku Amano—a man-beast—and his quest to find the Chōjin and to ensure the safe future of all three worlds. However, he finds his beliefs put to the test when he encounters numerous demons, who plan to destroy the Chōjin and prevent the three worlds from joining.
