So I was skulking on tumblr for posts on UroborusShipping (Red & Hilda, the player characters of the Gen 1 and Gen 5 Pokemon games respectively) and came across a confession from some Pokemon Shipping confessions thing. I'm not a real fan of confession blogs (because they always seem to show the darker side of a fandom) but the person who posted this particular confession said  how sad it was that there was hardly any fan art of that particular shipping and how so few people ship them. Now...I'm not artist in the drawing sense, but I did write some UroborusShipping fan fiction. Maybe this will bring up the love for this never-gonna-happen-but-still-fudging-cute pairing?  Here are some links!:

Red wonders if he ever told her that, or if she found it out through books or the internet or something -- the way most fans did. He finds with her, it doesn't matter, because the soft serve is perfect and he is incredibly charmed by it.

But yes. Hilda reminds him of himself. She's saved a region; she's considered the strongest trainer out of it; she's friends with a legendary. Well, he'd consider him and Mewtwo friends. Even if all they did was battle once. They had a connection. Or maybe they just both liked being away from the loudness that came with being strong.

That's something Hilda doesn't shy from. She doesn't mind it - she shy away from fans, but she doesn't act high and mighty either. She soaks up the attention and carries it. It's admirable.

"It's rude to talk about someone when they're trying to talk about tournament match ups," Hilda laughs, and Red wonders just how long she's been letting him go on.
