Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed (writer)

Assalam Alikum

Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed is an assistant professor at Forman Christian College, Pakistan.  He is Urdu literature teacher, humorist, columnist, playwright, poet, critic and researcher. He belong to a town near shekhopora. He completed his schooling from a school in his town. He graduated from Govt. college skhekhopora. He completed his PhD from Punjab University in year 2003.  

He worked on various platform He worked about 10 years for Roznama Naw-e-Waqt, Lahore (Pakistan) and daily Alsharq, Islamabad (Dubai). His first writing was LaiLa Ki Batain, Publised in College Magzine, shekhopora. Officaly he started writing at 1996. His first writing was Qalmi Dushmani published by alhamad publications. About 15 books has been published till now. Some of his famous books are Qalmi Dusmani, Khaka Nigar, Manto or Mazah.

he said he Never make a plot or outline before writing.  He prefer to sit and strat writing. he said he wrote Parveen Shakar, Mumtaz Mufti and Galib ka Khaka in Just One sitting. 

he is inspired by Mushtaq ahmed yousfi. Mushtaq ahmed yousfi is a Urdu satire and humor writer from Pakistan.  Yousufi has also served as the head of several national and international governmental and financial institutions. Chiragh Talay, Khakam e Badahan and Abb e Gham are some of his famous books. He said If he has been original author of any book, it would be Ab e Gam by Mushtaq Ahmed Yousfi

Dr. Ahsfaq Ahmed said “ Literature has had a major impact on the development of society. It has shaped civilisations, changed political systems and exposed injustice. Literature gives us a detailed preview of human experiences, allowing us to connect on basic levels of desire and emotion. future of writing is pitiable in Pakistan, no scope for writing.” 

he advised to new writer and poets “to be yourself, not the self someone else want you to be. Enjoy yourself and your life but the most important is to study and travel. That’s how we learn”

Mushtaq Ahmed Yousfi,  himself an Urdu satirist and humourist, wrote about Ahsfaq Ahmed “ Ashfaq Ahmed has a unique assent and landmark among new writer. he has pungent style and  sharp sense of humor” Another scholar, Atta ullah Qasmi, wrote, “ while writing, i feel immense happiness that after Patras, Mustaq ahmed yousfi and ibn e insha, a humorist has been come available to urdu that’s writing is capable to fill the gap”
