What’s my latest obsession? Knitting headbands! There’s nothing more gratifying right now than the click of my needles and the beautiful way the yarn’s texture comes together to form such lovely fabrics. Best yet, the yarn I’m working with has been salvaged or donated to my studio, making these sustainable 😁 With the cold weather teasing winter’s coming, these headbands are sure to move fast 😽 Stop by the shop tonight to grab one while supplies (and my interest in knitting them) last! $20 each- I’ll be here until 8 pm. This morning’s project- creepy pendants (and one bohemian piece)! A big part of my practice involves soliciting materials donations from the community. But not just any donations will do, I don’t want someone to go out and buy things for me to work with. I want the unloved, unwanted, the forgotten, the supplies taking up room in your house. My mission is to save supplies from the trash heap. I do buy supplies and materials to round out my practice (and ensure I can make wonderful things happen with the donations I receive). These eyeball pendants are a beautiful case-in-point: the eyeballs were passed onto me from @annemizera who rescued them from the crafting space of a local woman who had passed away. The bails I set them in were on last chance clearance @michaelsstores - literally the loneliest display in the world 😭I bought those bails YEARS before I ever received those cabochons, but yesterday I realized they are perfect together!
