It's hard not to cringe in disgust when spittle is flying around so randomly from Harvey's disfigured mouth, leaving the Joker with an existential dilemma whether to laugh or to scrunch his nose in sympathy. The angrier his two-faced friend is becoming, the more entertaining it is for the Joker to taunt and provoke him, the amount of fun in their little encounter increasing in almost geometrical progression.

But maybe he has pushed way too hard. The Joker didn't realize that the guy who used to be called 'Gotham's White Knight' had become this... sensitive.

Unable to react just in time, the Joker's knees buckle as he loses his balance and falls down hard on the floor with a surprised "Ooof" collapsing under the weight of enraged Harvey Dent. A loud maniacal cackle is filling all the space around them, the joy and amusement numbing any pain and discomfort from the unexpected fall. The Agent of Chaos is laughing uncontrollably now, even though he senses how the deadly grip of both hands around his neck tightens -- anger management issues in action.

"Ah-ah-ah!" Still giggling, Joker coughs as he breathes heavily, hands clawing at the ones around him, trying to loosen the pressure on his windpipe. "Let's not skip to making idle threats, shall we?" Raising his eyebrows slightly, the Joker swipes his tongue over his lower lip, the tip lingering for a moment over the tiny scar below. "See, you still didn't answer my question, Harv. And that's jussssst... rude-ah."

❝   Maybe  I  just  don't  like  clowns  !   ❞  Without  much  of  a  mask  of  skin  ,  spit  finds  it's  way  sputtering  out  of  the  lipless  side  of  his  mouth  ,  hissing  and  growling  .  Every  word  amplified  with  venom  .

Eyes  filled  with  spite  ,  the  bulging  eye  seeming  to  swell  impossibly  larger  .  With  Harvey  sinking  even  further  down  ,  Two  Face  left  with  the  reigns  .

' Then...  does  it  make  you  feel  ah,  average? '

The  damn  freak  wants  a  rise  out  of  them  ,  the  irritated  scab  on  the  brain  strains  internally  ,  squeezes  .  And  Two  Face  lunges  at  the  split-lipped  freak  .  Immediately  reaching  for  the  bastard's  neck  .

naff!!!! i just read all of sleuth jesters in one go like a mad lad and i just????? the dynamic between the boys and the vigilante are just WOW WOW WOW!! the tension?? the subtle (and not so subtle) flirting?? the frustration yet the trust despite everything??? THE REVEAL THAT THEY KNEW......it's gotta be one of my favorite sun/moon/reader dynamics i've read!!! the way you weave it all together is genuinely so engrossing and gripping and not to mention ECLIPSE........wah what a bastard but SUCH a fascinating one!!! the way he's manic, terrifyingly competent and obsessive MAN...it's so good. i love him ur honor, even though he is the worst. the way he meets his end was just so visceral in the BEST way 👏🏼 i'm still thinking about it tbh, rotating that whole scene in my brain as we speak!!!

i do have a couple of questions though!!! or rather, a bunch about a specific moment! (feel free to ignore if you've already answered them before!) in fire on fire during the flashback opening, we see how things happened from the vigilante's perspective of events, but how did the boys feel about how that night went down? the afton home burning, the bodies accounted (and unaccounted for), presumably all of their hard work gathering evidence on afton gone up in smoke and not mattering anymore with him dead, the fact that they had managed to follow/track the vigilante down the alley way but made the choice to let them go? WHY did they let them go in the moment? when did they realize that the person they let go that night became their favorite troublemaker a few years later (and when did the boys realize they had fallen for them?)

sorry for the absolute wall of text asdfghjkl i'm just genuinely SO CURIOUS to know about how that night went from our favorite detectives' point of view! i'm so glad i read through sleuth jesters, i've always been a huge sucker for detective/noir stuff and it was the perfect intermission to read while waiting for the next cryptid sightings chapter 💚 (cryptid boys and hunter y/n my BELOVED!!!!!!!! i'm at the edge of my seat after that last chapter, and i can't wait to see where it goes from here!!!)

I think I answered it once before?? But if not, the detectives followed Y/N through their rampage of taking down the Afton Family and weren't certain what Y/N's end goal was, but clearly, they wanted the empire to collapse. They had thoughts that maybe Y/N wanted to take the gang for themselves, but when they tracked Y/N down that night only to see the fire and hear the gunshots, they knew Y/N had done something they and a lot of others had been trying to do for a long time.

They left Y/N go because Y/N wasn't just a thug gangster nor Afton's loyal dog anymore. Though seeing them pop up again as a vigilante was certainly a surprise hehe ❤️ It was from the first moment the detectives confronted the vigilante that they knew that was the one and the same! Thankfully, they've truly turned themselves around (not legally but ya know)

Oh snap man, i legit saw this question when i reblogged the original ask meme and was like *minecraft villager noise* bc i deadass could not figure out how I would answer. I’ve only watched up to the end of part 4, so my library of stands is kind of limited, but I think maybe Cinderella?? it’d be really useful for theater and cosplay purposes, although the effects aren’t long-lasting + i don’t really care for the romance stuff that goes along with it. :| idk...Splat or The World would be really neat, if only bc i’d be able to use Time Stop to a) have a respite b) scream without repercussion. this is a tough question, though!!

*clears throat* Robert E. O. Speedwagon and Jean Pierre Polnareff are the baddest bit- *a small cane comes onstage and very slowly pulls me backstage* This one is really hard for me, too, so I think I’m gonna take it part by part? For Phantom Blood, I’d say Baron Zeppeli because he teaches Jonathan Hamon, establishes the stone masks as a veritable threat beyond Dio’s use of them, and drags the plot forward. For Part 2, Lisa Lisa is the only answer I can give as a lesbian, but also she fills a lot of the same holes Zeppeli did. Additionally, knowing her personal narrative really enriched Joseph’s arc. Speedwagon gets an honorable mention for all the shit he had to put up with. (also he deserved to be the cyborg :’( ) For Part 3, avdol!!!! He gives us a lot of important exposition with stands, and his first death was a huge Oh Shit moment for me, and for i think for the crusaders in-universe. The gravitas that Avdol’s death brought was like....sughfhg *chef kiss* He deserved the MOST. For Part 4, definitely okuyasu. he brought joy and lov to the show and his drive to both get revenge for his brother and acknowledge that his brother was a Horrible Person who did Horrible Things was..asdfghjkl Reimi also gets honorable mention, she’s such a wonderful character and i really enjoy how much her narrative drives the plot. <3 plus the end....poetic cinema....
