hahah yeahhh it is not the easiest game out there!!! though it gets better when you get used to the controls etc :^)

i’d say, give yourself time to explore the areas and get used to everything- trying to rush through places gets pretty frustrating. though if you’re trying to figure out the general direction to go in, following the yellow overseer is a good idea. and there’s always the interactive map to help you

assuming you’re playing as monk or survivor, there’s no need to kill predators like lizards etc - i think i finished my first run without hunting for them? you can try to sneak past predators, or throw rocks at them to slow them down, or throw things away from you to alert them - they might go to investigate the noise (will emit particles if they heard something!). also, honestly, in many cases you can simply outrun them. different types have different abilities - for example, you’ll be safe from green lizards on top of a pole since they can’t climb them, but pink ones can, so watch out…. if you’re intent on killing lizards, you’ll have to strike the body, since spears can’t hurt their heads. hitting a lizard with a rock will flip it over 👍

though there’s a whole movement guide doc out there, you can get through the game with the basic stuff ! once you get a feel for the throwing and climbing and wall jumping, you’ll do just fine i think

all in all, it is possible to go through the game without even learning about the world’s lore, since finding the information is a pretty tedious process… so if you find yourself wanting to simply check out the story, there’s nothing wrong with reading the wiki without playing :^) but! don’t give up! i believe in u

i just finished reading chapter 50 of jtta and oh my gosh. i don’t even know where to start.

jtta is SUCH an amazing work of art that my words fall short.. it’s rlly the best fanfiction i have EVER read and i’m sure it’ll continue to be my Number One forever. your writing style is absolutely beautiful and your choice of words is IMMACULATE. the way you describe certain scenes truly baffles me everytime like,, there’s people out there who are really able to write like this?? they can magically plant a mental imagine w colors and all in my head from??? Words only??? u r so amazing omf

i also have to say that ur work has rlly helped me with expanding my own vocabulary — i had to look up a A LOT of words (though i’m sure i forgot them all by now..) but it was always so fun to learn new stuff!

your mind fascinates me sm bc?? when i was reading some scenes from jtta i rlly thought ‘man.. if i was the author i’d have no idea how to solve this..’ but u managed to surprise me every. single. time. u outdid urself each time and my jaw legit dropped at some scenes bc i could’ve NEVER EVER thought of that,,,

jtta got me all wrapped up in this universe that whenever i went back to read other obey me work or play obey me itself, i got sad bc the newspaper club and ik weren’t there 😭

normally i’m sad about things ending, esp when i indulged in it over a course of time but with jtta all i felt was a warmth (oh and the tears…..) in my body, it rlly couldn’t have ended better!! jtta made me elict all sorts of emotions while reading and it was just such a wonderful experience!

Star! My love!!! first off, I'm so sorry to hear about the sa you endured - my heart literally broke when I read your post and I literally can't describe how f-ing enraged and crushed I feel for you. I am on summer break now hehehe getting to see friends and all that which is SO nice also this past week i worked 37 hours at my speech arts studio and staged managed a whole friken gala/fancy show/event for end of year and IT WENT SO WELL BUT GOD WAS IT STRESSFUL South Africa was AN EXPERIENCE - so many animals (fulfilling my nerd dreams) - like literally once in a life time experience, data collection was SO COOL, made some good friends, some enemies, hooked up with a guy/classmate (after becoming good friends on the trip) and then today was his bday (he's 7 years older than me... but GOD am I into him and hes such a great guy but also so not the type of guy people expect for me be with hes kinda got a bad boy image and like omg i have such a good girl image and so when i showed people and told people about him ... they were all like "girl???" but issok idc i know him and they dont so lol :> idk what we are but like we vibin) and we went to the aquarium together and nerded out about animals for five hours...
