as a bw that´s been on tumblr rp, discord rp and jcink rp.....the people trying to make it seem like jcink is somehow more enlightened or accessible are wild. i just recently decided to quit because i realized i was consistently the only bw on so many sites and it´s more common to see actual serial killers played out than a black character...and if you bring in black characters yourself? tough shit, maybe 3 people will plot with you (1/2)

(2/2) but what´s even more damning to me is that there is a general racism AND colorism problem somehow more aggravated than tumblr rp, to the point where sites will regularly be 239 white men, 279 white women, the (palest possible) latina of the month and maybe a handful of east asian fcs. jcink i think is a good platform to write in theory but "the community"? extremely hostile to critique. and that´s without getting into the fixation so many got w playing cops like i´m begging these bitches to try playing a mailman or smth

glad you decided to quit. i've had plenty of experiences like that, which is why i stay away from rps with an fc list similar to that in general. it's just best to not engage with a community you know won't change. - x
