I just love the German covers of the Unwind books! They are shiny and somehow I love the translation:

Vollendet.

Completed/accomplished.

The process of unwinding is called Umwandlung (conversion/transformation), the ones who are going to be unwound Wandler (modifier), after you are unwound you are in a geteilter Zustand (divided state).

These books will always hold a special place in my heart, and with what is happening in the US rn... they seem eerie. Let us hope we will never reach the future that is so masterfully written in those books.

Day 4 of #inktober bookish ballpoint pen sketches is Unwind by Neal Shusterman. I read the book in high school, and I went on to read the series as the following books were released. It was the first series that made me realize I wanted to write stories, to explore dark and gritty things, to make people think. It'll always be important to me because of that. Guys!!! I did it! I did it I did it I did it!!! I finished a comic! : OD I’m so proud of myself! Look at this shit! Please take the tome to read it I’m so happy I finished this. So happy right now. (The characters in here are #rolandtaggart and #connorlassiter and they both DO NOT BELONG TO ME they belong to Neal FUCKING Shushterman. But Maya and Malik do so yeah. Also I gave Connor a robot arm. :)))))) HNG I really loved how this came out. It gives me motivation to do more. I hope you guys like it and that it makes you smile. God, How do I even explain. Like I understand his whole “Im a fucking stork, we’re misunderstood” shit but. HOOOOO. He takes it to a new level of “I hate this character”. He’s really really ignorant to a point. He does this all for his own gain. Like im sorry dude but in order to survive you gotta pitch in not create your own revolution against people trying to fucking help you. I actually laughed when he got hit with the bat. He really should’ve listened to connor instead of resenting him. Like yes people are gonna hate other people, but starkey. Just because he’s the akron awol doesn’t mean he isn’t human and that he has restrictions to what he can and cannot do!!

Lassiward Headcannons

•Risa and Connor are on a boat in the Mediterranean, Connor playfully throws Risa into the water and Risa pretends she can't swim and holds on to him. When Connor begins to feel guilty for throwing her in the water, she shoves him and holds his head underwater playfully which turns into a full out water fight. •Risa sucks at making eggs but Connor chokes it down and says it's great because he loves her. •They share T-shirts, one time they visit a tourist trap but only have enough money for one shirt so they plan to take turns using it but Risa basically holds it hostage. •Connor gets her a piano because he knows she misses playing, also because he misses hearing her play. Risa attempts to teach him a few notes but Connor sucks at it and chips a finger nail and makes a big deal out of it. He vows never to touch a key again but by the next day Risa has him playing again.
