Okay but like the way I swoon so hard when Jack “do no harm” Dawkins has the breakthrough about how to do the surgery and just no thoughts no hesitations knocks out a guard and breaks in and threatens anyone in his way with a gun (that I’m not convinced was just for show) all to save Belle.

Okay, something that has been percolating in my brain for a little bit is Alastor's untapped unique set of powers being "The Radio Demon". I think in canon he only ever really uses his shadow/hoodoo powers to get stuff done? And those are neat. But don't really match his moniker well.

My thoughts started with his backstory. How he'd broadcast the screams of overlords he took down and everyone was terrified. What if.... What IF... this was not only because the sounds were terrifying, but if Alastor has the powers to broadcast emotions over the radio waves?

Like, it started small, with his own emotions, but once he figured out what was happening, he figured out how to broadcast the emotions of his victims. And that made everyone who listened feel the terror and helplessness of whoever Alastor was torturing.

I think Alastor also keeps a pretty tight rein on his own emotions because of this. If he's too close to a radio and he lets go the broadcast is altered and his own emotions leak out through the airwaves.

This all seemed like a really... intuitive leap to make given his affinity for radio. There's absolutely no canon support for it, it just makes a lot of sense to me.

And then I thought more about how all fanon seems to think that Alastor and Lilith had/have some sort of connection. The obvious connection was the seven years absence thing. But like....

Lilith's power was singing songs that influenced people. Alastor's power is reaching people through the radio. And possibly even influencing their emotions based on the emotions of what is being broadcast.

If they WEREN'T working together that would have been a completely missed opportunity on both sides.

(Also, ngl, this feeds into my love for RadioApple a lot. Feel like it points Lucifer having a type. Which is tall, manipulative people who are talented enough musically to use music as a tool to influence people.)

I know I can't be the only one who has thought of this. I know lots of fanfics have 'Alastor's emotions affect the radio' as a trope. But I don't think they've ever pushed it any farther than just comedic effect.
