Whoops, we missed marking International Learn Nothing Day, so I scrolled back through my photos to July 24th to see what we did that day. And as usual, we failed 😉 We had spent the day exploring Chédigny learning about nature & structure, and life & death. . If you don’t know what ILND is, it’s a day created by unschoolers to show others that is impossible to not learn every day (double negative 😅). It’s to demonstrate that we don’t need schools and tests to prove that learning is occurring. To demonstrate that learning is innate, spurred by our own natural human curiosity to learn about the world around us. We can’t help but learn every day of our lives. That’s unschooling. . Our role as unschooling parents is to nurture and facilitate that curiosity by providing an environment rich with learning opportunities. Anything from providing resources at home right through to travelling the world. Engaging with life and pursuing our own passions role models a love of learning for our children. It’s a winning combination for thousands of families around the world. .
