So I found this post on Threads and it got me thinking... So fuck it, here are some "rules" I fuckin despise
(I replied there but I wanna go a bit more in depth)
• Threefold rule/rule of three: though I do believe in... universal retribution? Sometimes you gotta be someone's retribution. I've seen way too many good people suffer through horrible things that they didn't deserve, and even more horrible people never pay for the harm they've caused others. It's more like a "do no (unprovoked) harm" IMO
• "You can't work with deities from different pantheons" and/or "you can't work with deities that don't like each other": Deities are far more complex than humans, and most of them can tolerate each other for the sake of their devotees. As always, just be mindful about the deities you choose to work with and their personalities.
• On a similar note "you have to believe in/work with deities": no, you don't. Atheist witches exist. And even if you believe in deities, you don't have to work with them if you don't want to. Your spell work isn't going to be less powerful because of that.
• "you can't mix and match types of magic": give me a break. If you like using runes to communicate with your Christian deities because that's the tool that works best for you and they answer that way, more power to you. Do what works for you. Just be mindful about it and don't be sticking your nose where you're not supposed to (looking at you, people who fuck around with closed practices).
• Correspondences (so much bs around what thing is what). Correspondences are not the same for everyone. For example: I love carnations. They've always been one of my favorite flowers. If my bf gifted me a carnation bouquet, I'll most definitely use those carnations in love spells because that's what I associate those carnations with. I don't care if you associate them with death or whatever (they're very popular in cemeteries where I live). Context matters.
• Feminine/masculine energy: there's SO MUCH sexism behind that. It's a lot to unpack here.
• "spells need to be well thought of and can't be improvised": once again, if that's what works best for you, that's great! In my case, I have countless spells that I've "designed", you know how many of them I did? None. You wanna know which ones I did and worked best? The one's where I've been like "okay, I need to achieve [intent] so let's see..." and mushed a bunch of things together, with whatever felt right at the moment, said a couple words, several profanities and ta-da! Worked like a charm (pun intended). So yea, to each their own.
• "you have to be initiated", whether its done by someone else or yourself, "you have to have a ritualistic initiation": my initiation was adding "baby witch" to my Tumblr bio lol is that ritualistic enough for y'all? Tbh the whole initiation bit feels a bit gatekeepy for me. As I've been saying, if you've done it because you wanted to do it, then that's amazing, but expecting eeeveryoooneee to do it as well is weird, idk.
• Related to the last one "you have to have a coven": my small-town, socially traumatized, opinionated, anxious ass couldn't handle it. I won't deny that being a self-taught witch feels lonely at times but I don't think I could just join a coven just because I "need" it. If I ever found a place that makes me feel welcome and whatnot, maybe I'll consider it but even then... Paraphrasing Cher "men covens are a luxury, not a necessity."
• "you have to have a grimoire/book of shadows": my AHDH won't allow it, sorry. I can't keep track of it and honestly I've tried everything lol a traditional notebook, a side blog, the notes app on my phone, docs on my PC... I just can't keep up with it. My grimoire is mostly in my head and that's where it works best. I'm not planning on "passing it along" so... And if I ever need to refresh something, I can almost always google it.
• back to deity-related rules "offerings need to be done in a ritualistic/specific way and you can't eat them/throw them into the trash": once again, depends on who you're working with and the occasion. There was a time I was working with 5 different deities (3 of "my own" plus 2 "borrowed ones", for a lack of better words) and I was making offerings for them every week, meaning almost an offering everyday and honestly who has the time for making that super extra? Not me. They knew that and understood. The same way they understand when I can't provide an offering for whatever reason. But again, that's depending on your relationship with your deities.
• "Meditation/visualization is a must": yea, that's not it and it's kind of ableist when you think about it. Some neurodivergent people can't meditate/our meditations aren't the same as other's. As well, some people are literally incapable of visualizing pictures in their mind as they can only think in words. More so, even the people who can visualize pictures can sometimes see unclear pictures/outlines/shadows. Not everyone is capable of creating FULL HD 4K images inside their brains and "mental clarity" isn't a thing when your "train of thought" is the equivalent to the entire public transportation system of Buenos Aires, with interceptions, connecting routes and lines that are out of service due to mechanical issues. So yes, if you can't mediate/visualize, don't give it much though and focus on what works for you ok, I'm done with the puns
There's probably a lot more that I can't remember so that's it for now.
I didn't proofread this so I apologize not for anything that doesn't make much sense, it's currently 1:14 am and I wanna go to sleep.
Yes, I'm a chaos witch, how did you know?
Anyways, blessed be ✨

I finally caught up with season 10 and I have some thoughts. This might be an unpopular opinion, but.....
I really like this season! I originally stopped playing after the first volume cause I created a sweetheart of a character, and that just wasn't working. So for the first time since season 1 I decided to wait until I could binge the season (I got impatient, oops) and let me tell you
S10 works so much better when you're playing it as one big story, rather than having the same issues week after week. But as a whole, here are some more specific thoughts:
(under the cut cause this got looong)
First of all, design. I like MC's design. We've come a long way since whatever that s5/s6 MC mess was. I understand that Fusebox, in order to make this game work, has to prioritize. And keeping essentially the same MC sprite over multiple seasons for the sake of the other characters' designs seems reasonable to me
Speaking of: For the most part the other characters' designs look great! They actually look like real people to me the obvious exceptions being Sophia (why... just why?) and kinda Franki (idk, she looks odd to me) and sorry Hayden (why does he have a hamster mouth)
Moving on to plot: I actually like that we don't couple up with someone straightaway! This plot point is a big one where being aware of it ahead of time helped a lot. I was growing tired of every LI immediately being all in with MC. In past seasons, as soon as you couple up, every LI just turned into the same lovesick mush. Let us work for people's affections!
This also allows for actual character building. I feel like I actually know Ethan, Milo, Hayden, and all the others. Characters having their own consistent personality? Unheard of since s4! I refuse to acknowledge s5 You have to make the coding work somehow and I feel like this is a smart way of doing it and stopping the personalities from melting into each other without doing a forced couple à la Miles/Jasper from s1. If a season wants to draw me in, distinct personalities is one of the most important factors to me.
Jesse!!! That's all.
No but seriously. Jesse is (so far) what Nicky/Seb from s3 was supposed to be. I have been craving a character like Jesse!! A male best friend whom you can genuinely come to for what would otherwise be girl talks. With the option of a friends-to-lovers route but also the option to just hype each other up!
Jesse thinking MC was the cheater during the dirty laundry challenge bc Sophia was spreading lies? Yes please! This is the type of drama that is genuinely important to me. No character, even your faves, are without flaws. This was a genuine fuck up on Jesse's part but I think it's so good for character and relationship building. More drama like this please!
Speaking of characters I love: Lisbeth. First of all, her character design? A+, give whoever did that a raise! Her character? The whole witchy, wanting to live in a overgrown castle, plays in a band and smashed her guitar vibe? A++! Calling her partner a good boy, giving dom-mummy vibes, but also nervous around her crush? Please let me marry her!
Okay hear me out.... I like Sophia as a character. Shitty person! Good character. Because I feel like she makes sense? I've seen many people basically call her cartoonishly evil but I don't think that's true. I think she is just self-absorbed. She genuinely doesn't think about how her actions might affect other people. Not in a fuck-you type of way, it just genuinely doesn't occur to her that when she is happy other people won't be happy for her, or that they might be hurt by the chaos trail she leaves behind. I find that compelling as an antagonistic character, especially since you can choose how sassy or understanding MC is of Sophia's narcissism.
If I were to ever make one of those TikTok hear-me-out cakes, I would put Tristan on it. What can I say, I like a good ratboy! Visually he reminds me of an early Damiano David from Måneskin, and I think that man just fundamentally changed something in my brain chemistry
What I like about the dates is that they are more than I generic "I like you, and I see myself with you and only you, you changed my entire outlook on life, now kiss me". Cause after a while that just gets boring. I feel like we actually get to learn about the LIs on the dates (partially due to them being given actual distinct dialogue!). Please, yes, actually tell me something about yourself! And that boat/snorkeling date? That shit was good!
The challenges have also been really fun so far. I particularly loved the dirty laundry challenge and the fairground (can never go wrong with a blindfolded kissing challenge, and combining that with the tea from the rest of the challenge was a cool thing to do)
Speaking of, the drama is delicious! Genuinely reminds me of s2 (maybe too high of a compliment, but whatever). I feel like we get to be a part of the drama, like how Jesse confide in MC about his feelings and doubts about his couple. I also love the Ethan/Hayden rivalry. And getting to split up a couple? I thought that was a cool new twist although I agree it probably should have come later in the season. I love that as MC, you kind of get to decide how seriously you want to take everyone coming to you with their issues
This is a minor thing, but it makes such a difference to me: Whenever a Thing has happened (date, tea got spilled, announcement, etc.) it's often the boys (lead by Jesse, my heart) who say "let's go for a debrief" FIRST. In past seasons I have been a little frustrated by the constant girls chats, cause like... I might not trust the girls?? Why are you making me do this?? *cough* Amelia *cough* But seeing the boys leave to chat males it so that (a) well, they're busy, might as well go chat to the girls instead of it feeling do forced, and (b) implies an actual bond between the boys - which makes the characters and the world feel more real. Male characters having relationships with each other? Outside of rivalries? What a concept!
I think the gems are well spent. Season 10 still has a bit of an issue with interesting drama only being introduced to you if you spend gems. But that also means that spending gems actually gets you something worth your money. Be it drama, intimate scenes with your LI or an extended scene where you get to clap back - I much prefer this over the alternative aka gem scenes being essentially meaningless (so essentially s5-s7)
I partially created this list because I've grown exhausted with the negativity in this fandom. Sure, there is also a lot to criticise. But despite all I still love litg. We've had unplayable seasons (s5) we've had mid seasons (s6 & s7), but recently we've also had some really good, replayable material (s8 & s9) that rivals the early stuff. And I think that deserves acknowledgement. So I'm gonna be cautiously hopeful for the rest of s10 and the future of litg.

Hello!
What's your opinion on Alys Rivers' character? I know we don't have much information about her in F&B and what we do have sometimes sound contradictory, but all the love she's been getting from TG even before she appeared on screen is weird to me. People can have their headcanons and theories ofc, but why already elevate a character we don't even know much about. And I'm not talking only about Alysmond shippers, even though they are the loudest in this. Personally, I always had a feeling that Alys played her own game and msnipulated (maybe even bewitched, Gayle Rankin spoke about her as a woman with powers) Aemond by leading him to his demise. This might be an unpopular opinion in green fandom, but it's how I feel and felt while reading the book. Idk, there was always something icky about her, the line about dragon's bastard licking at her womb or something like that, then the whole age difference and the way she met Aemond (he basically massacres everyone she knew but spares her - why?), then she somehow has the power to make a man's head explode but can't predict what will happen at the God's Eye. Also, the way the fandom oversexualize her with the annoying "hot witchy big breasted milf" is off putting (and we are all aware of how GRRM loves to describe bosoms of his female characters, but if I recall correctly, the only description of Alys he gave is her long dark hair and how she looks much younger than she actually is, so where all this bs came from??). Idk, I always had this feeling that she made Aemond sure of his victory and purposefully misled him for her own gain. I might be wrong ofc because I have no idea how are they going to adapt this character in HotD. However, judging solely by the book, I fail to see any reason for her popularity before introducing her show version.
Sorry for the rant, but I would like to hear your take on this.
Hello my beloved nonnie! Thank you for this very interesting ask!!! I’m gonna put my answer under the cut<3
I agree with most of the things you say!!! I had a problem with Alys since I gained more information about her.
There’s just so many things wrong with her… I don’t know I mean I don’t get the hype about her. Maybe because I haven’t seen her or when I read the chapters about her and Aemond… she just felt so off to me.
I think one of the main reasons this fandom really hypes her up is because of Aemond and how we’ll get more screen time of him. And well I hope that HoTD really gives us something to rely on because judging by the books we don’t have much.
Personally, I don’t like Gayle as Alys. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against her, I just don’t think she resembles Alys at all. She looks too sweet and she doesn’t seem intimidating enough for me compared to the magnificent cast we have. (Ewan being hella intimidating and scary when he wants with his facial expressions, Olivia and her eyes that are a whole actresses by themselves, etc). And moreover, about Alys’ appearance, we actually do know that she’s a wet nurse, so judging by that she needs to be curvy (due to lactation and stuff), so I guess that big breasted comes from here.
I also find so many things wrong with Alysmond’s encounters, so so so many. 1. How the fuck did Aemond spare her? Why did he spare her?? They had just met and suddenly the man who we know is a bloodthirsty murderer gets a soft spot for her? I get the his blood was up but come on, it’s not Aemond at all. It’s more like something Daemon or Aegon would do.
2. The bigger issue to me is that how Alys enjoyed it. She’s middle aged fucking a 19 years old. I think everyone gets where I’m going with this…
3. NONNIE YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!!!! I always thought about how she couldn’t predict Aemond’s downfall in God’s Eye. LIKE BRO IS SO PUSSY DRUNK GOING AROUND SAYING MY ALY MY ALYS but his witch can’t even tell him how he’s about to die?? But she can blow up someones head because they didn’t pledge their loyalty to her unborn child. If she is this strong witch that everyone knows about, why didn’t she save her lover???
Yes, disliking Alys in this fandom is very unpopular, but I’m with you in this. I think we could have gotten someone better in description and appearance for Alys (personally would have loved to see Eva Green or even Rebecce Freguson as Alys) but we just have to wait and see what the writers have in store for us<3

hi bestie, I’m loving this unpopular opinion night! while on the topic of midnights, no hate to Jack or Taylor but I can’t help but feel like a lot of the songs are underbaked, demo-like. I don’t know much about music production but that’s just the general sense I get from the album.
i think this is one of the main criticisms I have seen of the album, and I do agree. This is. High level whining. because it's still a good album imo, but it does feel suuuuper rushed and unrefined. One of the most interesting opinions re: songwriting in particular I have heard is that Taylor should maybe work with songwriters as co-writers again, instead of people who primarily are producers (although I personally think Jack's lyricism is good), because they have less of an eye for cutting or refining things. But yea, with Midnights, it's like "ok I understand why they used this specific sound/vibe for this song" but that's... It. I think there could have been more depth to it. Remember how we all went crazy about some of the production moments on folkmore when they came out? (closure, the "high heels on cobblestones" sound, the soaring of peace and epiphany, the harmonica on betty, the guitar on cowboy like me, the witchy structure of willow, etc etc.) I didn't see much of that with this album. It just feels like a very basic and simple way to make these songs. Sorry i actually have much more thoughts on this but am not able to articulate them rn

❕here’s a shower thought:
If you were to kill your younger self, you would not seize to exist. 😶‍🌫️
i can explain ✨
see, if the younger version of you is dead, its corpse will simply age with time.
so yeah, you’ll still be… y’know; you. but you’d probably decompose into a very old corpse.
yes you would die, but not disappear. 🧐

A Ramble: Saw another Esoteric Quote
As much as i like learning about various esoteric texts or idealogies, the amount of emphasis put on sex specifically (hetero) binary makes me wholly uncomfortable.
Not in the sense of modesty's sake but in the sense that it seems still largely limited to the physical manifest of genetalia and perhaps an over emphasis on the phallus in most of the considerations.
Perhaps it has to do with quoting of philosophers from where feminine expression was still largely hunted down as witch craft by the vatican, or perhaps the influences of modern day stigma based of similar principles.
Either way, i believe much of this tantric hermeticism (widely accepted through online gurus) is missing a few points.
Like, the over dependency on gender roles... When higher forms (including self) isnt (or shouldnt be) limited by what one is assigned at birth. In fact, i do believe the main notion is to ascend from material limitations and step away from the physical law in order to gain a higher and more complex understanding.
I fail to see how genitals and orientation is either a hinderence or a benefit in this pursuit of higher knowledge.
As if complex thoughts and higher concepts are restricted to one gender and orientation.
However, thats my opinion. I operate off the core code understanding that extraplanar beings and the higher forms are hermaphoditic and asexual with varied desires, aesthetics, and preferences stemming from internal will power with infinite possibilities not restricted to physical performances.
What do i know though, im a secular witch.

UNPOPULAR TAKE: The cringiest thing i ever see/hear when ppl talk about cursing/hexing another person is all they want to do is make them hurt without giving any real thought to the repercussions of their actions. Because all they think about is the vendetta of how much the other person made them hurt. And while strong emotions can greatly benefit with casting one, sometimes majority just cast logic and reasoning to the wind. Ya got to atleast think about the justification of why your cursing them and if their actions greatly ruined an aspect of your life that you find difficult to get past. Because believe me i know. Cursing for petty reasons alone will have the opposite affect! I learned that the hard way. Because if your wanting to curse someone with no prior knowledge of how they work or really even the necessary basic foundation of what it takes to correctly formulate a curse let alone a spell, then you probably shouldnt be doing it. Atleast not by yourself anyway. This is just my own reasoning . Open to other witchy mutuals take on this!

For the ask game: Trio of towns or Deltarune? :^]
I’ll do both but in separate asks!! Here’s trio!!
Favorite character: yuzuki yuzuki my darling yuzuki!!!
Least favorite character: idk if I really have one?? Tbh I found all the characters in trio to be really likable!!! I guess maybe the MC’s dad? I never finished the game but I Do Not Like how he keeps giving me goals like I do not care about being #1 farmer I just want to be a #1 girlfriend 😭
5 favorite ships: uhhhh yuzuki x holly obviously. Though I am also a fan of hinazuki thanks to @pansy-picnics’s art of them!! I’m in love with the idea of lisette and holly being star-crossed lovers due to the game’s gender lock. Also like lisette with kasumi + kasumi with komari!!
Character I find the most attractive:
Tumblr media
have you ever seen a man so beautiful you started crying
(Lisette is v pretty too though + I think ludus has a nice smile!!!)
Character I would marry: uhhh yuzuki obvs + also lisette
Character I would be best friends: lisette could be my gal pal 😏
A random thought: like I said before I just think all of the characters are really well-developed and likable but especially the kids (as in the NPCs not your own kids)!! They are adorable + it was one of the biggest differences I noticed going from trio to sos1….like I didn’t really care for Melanie or lutz but I would die for any of the kids in trio.
An unpopular opinion: uhhhh again idk what the popular opinions are??
My canon otp: sorry if I butcher their names, it’s been a bit, but omiyo and umekichi (yuzuki’s grandparents)!! They’re just a sweet old couple + I love how they come to see my character as a second grandchild 🥺
My non-canon otp: oddly enough it’s probably hinazuki!! Listen if I can’t have yuzuki I know Hinata will take good care of him!!!!
Most badass character: I believe kasumi could kill a man
Most epic villain: uhhhh are there really any villains in trio?? Does witchie count as a villain??
Pairing I am not a fan of: I feel like if there were rival marriages in this game they would’ve put lisette and Wayne together and to me it just feels like comphet…..
Character I feel the writers screwed up: am I allowed to say “kasumi because they didn’t make her canonically a lesbian”?? Seriously though maybe I’m basic/not picky but I think they did a good job!!!
Favorite friendship: I like to think the whole westown crew + the mc are really good friends!!!
Character I most identify with: siluka probably bc sleepy lol….although according to MBTI types I believe I’m a government assigned inari kinnie!!!
Character I wish I could be: am I allowed to just say holly because you literally play as her?? Sounds like a good life….running the farm…..making friends with all the marriage candidates and the townsfolk…..having breakfast with yuzuki every morning…..I’m soft 🥺

Unpopular opinion, but I’ve never really liked Bess. Something about her rubs me the wrong way, and I find her annoying. HOWEVER, I think her witchy storyline with Temperance could be really interesting. I doubt the writers will do it, because she’s such a fan favorite, but I’m imagining almost a villain arc for her. Hear me out. She progresses further with Temperance and her women in white stuff. The crew doesn’t approve because it’s Temperance and maybe Bess is branching into more dangerous/problematic things. This would lead to a lot of “I thought you would understand” and “This is for your own good” from both sides. Cue fighting between the crew. This could be resolved either by a full-on villain arc (which would be pretty neat tbh) or simply that Temperance’s influence over Bess is the problem and they deal with Temperance herself. Idk I think it would be an interesting way to use an (imo) uninteresting character, and with the way her story is going in canon, it wouldn’t be too far out of the blue
Ay, to each their own, right? I love Bess (as I love every member of the Drew Crew) but she is actually the character I have a tendency to get the most frustrated with so...totally get you there.
This is actually EXACTLY where I think they're going with her character too! I agree that I don't think they'll make Bess a full-blown villain, but that she'll have a somewhat similar path to Nancy's in S2, where she's led astray and gets involved in some not-so-great witch stuff with Temperance which the crew won't understand.
And then they'll take down Temperance and everything will be cool again lmao.
Also agree with you on a split between the Drew Crew. I was actually kind of expecting a fallout last season when everyone was turning on Nancy, but there's a lot more in play that could divide the 5 of them now. Even if the entire crew doesn't collapse, I think Bess will for sure separate herself from them until her drama is resolved.
It's worth noting, too, that Bess has had a fairly isolated storyline from everyone else since the first episode of this season. Also that she's been mad at her friends for 2/4 of those episodes for not including her or taking her seriously.
Actually, now that we're talking about it, it's interesting that each member of the Drew Crew (except for Nick atm) is receiving positive attention from people outside of their group that are...suspicious in nature.
ANYWAY, I am 100% with you on this and really hope you're correct!

Dying Light for the fandom asks?
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
Brecken & Kyle! Kyle is obv because I love him.
Brecken is amazing actually. Surviving night run automatically makes you big badass, but I enjoyed how sincere he was & how it was shown how leadership was dragging him down emotionally and I just really loved his accent/vibes (I think it's supposed to be Australian?) I love the fact he was some salesman pre-apocalypse.
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
Ezgi! Punk little woman! Love her! She's rebellious, sometimes even dumb because she's teenager but she's great. I love how she knows her home is hellhole (she's not fond of the religion her home has) and leaves on her own accord & gets quite far without help. She's survivor!
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
Rocket! He's proud little shit to Kyle & thus player but he's fun! Certainly didn't deserve to die just bc he liked challenging Kyle. I wish we got to know more about him than just his skill in parkour.
Also quartermaster at the Tower & Toygar aka the guy near bulletin board! Both have very few lines but what little we know both are naturally inclined to help others (Quartermaster's bit snarky I love it), it's telling we don't have a name for one of them jfc.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)
Dahlia! She does have rather prominent role, well, she has quite lengthy side mission chain, but I still want more of her! I love her being a witch and being arrogant & trying to challenge Kyle's worldview! I love her decorating skills, the closest I'd ID her with witchy terms is death & herbs witch. The way she speaks is intimidating but I love her!
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
Rahim.
From what I've seen some consider him annoying but I adored him, he was spunky but over his head outside Tower. Story does present him as pathetic since he did this entire suicide run that Crane promised to do instead just bc he wanted to do it. He did massive mistake by going out w/o telling anyone, getting other runner killed & cherry on top, lied about his bite just so Crane would take the bombs. Everyone in story thought it was utterly stupid of him.
Still love him. And he lives in my canon.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
Tahir. He has tormented me enough in turn with his boss fight, with his weird damage immunity at weirdest times, I can grant him some torment as treat. Also he beat up Kyle in prologue, so that must be avenged. The only thing I kinda appreciate is the fact he's build like brickhouse.
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
Rais of course, the war criminal himself, the guy who killed Jade in game canon, just begone thot.
He's boring as villain but I'd still send him to superhell.

NOPE + trigger
Nope Patrol || Not Accepting I. Triggers are sometimes ridiculous. I mean I've seen so many things being complained about that I think at some point it's ridiculous. If you follow someone's blog, read their rules, their abouts and such, or see a triggering WORD in their blog title/character name/etc... {For example: Reader/Rp person: Witches Trigger Me. My Blog: Muse is a witch, and does witchy things with other witches. Reader/RP person: OMFG YOU HAVE TO TAG THAT. Me: ....do I, Janine? Do I really?}
Unpopular opinion for which I am pretty sure I'm gonna get cancelled for, but at some point, people have to learn to take responsibility for themselves, and avoid things that make them super uncomfortable/trigger them. I am a mother, yes... but I am not YOUR mother. This is not part of the unwritten contract between reader/writer.
I don't tend to tag things I feel are natural/common expectancy from my blog. I don't tend to tag personal opinions about media/characters/etc because if you know me, you understand that I am a salty bitch, and this is my house. You don't like my opinions? Well, there's the door. I am not forcing you to stay. I am not trying to give you Stockholm Syndrome.
II. I super don't really care how "popular" I am in fandoms. To be honest, I have been doing this so long, that I've seen every permutation of hive-mind/herd culture from the very open and sometimes ridiculous way it used to be a hundred years ago when RP was collaborative writing and everyone seemed to understand that mun =/= muse. That people were allowed to write conflict, use different FCs, that opinions were just that, and at the end of the day, it was all in good fun and done for love of the material. One of the funniest moments was when my rp partner came to me, telling me their muse was being stalked by another muse, and how terrifying that muse was. The stalker muse ended up being another VERY good friend of both of us, and was just doing it for a laugh. The Stalker muse ended up becoming a character that any of mine and that I personally would die for, move heaven and earth to make happy, and was such a rewarding and elaborate experience. And nothing short of at least 50 people didn't recognise the name of said Stalker muse, across like at least 10 different fandoms. And we all accepted and welcomed that, or didn't but never once really thought to police the mun on how to play the character. That's what I wanted out of tumblr. Kids these days are WAAAAAAAY too uptight. So, sometimes I will tag the most RIDICULOUS things because I'm being a funny bitch. {Also, the person I mentioned in the above rant follows me. Knows who they are. And knows that I am still waiting to find out what's behind that Curtain. I love you.} III. I don't do spiders. Can't. Especially the giant ones that come from a land that will not be mentioned but closely resembles hell, where they come to be the sizes of cars. Fuck that noise, boys. I would really like for people to tag images of them. But I can see the word. I can read about there being one in an rp {like you know...when I am playing with SPIDER MAN}. If you don't...that's cool. You do you. I know how to scroll, and I know that things on the internet can only harm me if I let them.

Rowena for the meme
Why I like them: how could I not??? She’s a great character, AND an absolutely enchanting woman. I could write (very bad, based on previous experience) poetry about her xDD. She’s gorgeous! And witchy! And dramatic! She hits my “older woman of dubious morality” soft spot AND has about everything else going for her lmao.
Why I don’t: I suddenly can’t read.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): I still have a few left with her (far less than I’d like! I know she has a fake marriage with Sam in one though xD), but as of now it’s probably 13x12, where she tricks Sam and Dean (they never find out she’s the one who hired the two witches that rob the book from them lol), comes in to save the day~~, has a few bonding moments with Sam regarding their Lucifer Trauma TM -which leads to Sam sneakily letting her get away with the page she was looking for lol... Another great one is where she encourages her sweet grandson (who she liked!) to return to the past knowing he’d die there, to get revenge against Crowley for forcing her to kill the one person she’d truly loved (another child she’d actually loved like a son). This family istg xDDD. 13x19, where she sets out to defy Death and force her to bring Crowley back to life is another contender (theirs is a complicated mother-son bond lmfao).
Favorite season/movie: it’s hard to say because I’ve enjoyed all four so far (well, in terms of Rowena’s storyline at least. I have Opinions on s12 and s13 lol). But I have to say Rowena is about the first character I’ve fully enjoyed (so far) seeing joining the team after being in more antagonistic role, simply because it’s fun xD, and in that sense she was a breath of fresh air in s13.
Favorite line: oh man. She has so many. One thing I’ll say for these writers is that they took advantage of having a theatre trained actress and gave her GREAT monologues lmao. See all these lovely things she tells to Crowley lmfao:
“This demon asks you to equalize credit for his and another's work. Split the baby if you will. Well, then I would well and truly split the baby. I'd cut this pulling, pathetic, grade-grubbing git in two, literally. Then I'd nail his bloody halves to the doors of the court. A reminder to all not to waste the King's time! Whiners beget whiners. You can't reward behavior like that. Why, I never gave in when you asked for sweeties as a child no matter how much you cried. Well, you were a very chunky child, darling. A bit of a bloater.”
“You can't understand my disappointment or my pride. You don't know this but after I left you, after I was forced to leave you, I heard of your death. Your mortal death. I thought you were gone to me forever. Then, hundreds of years later and thousands of miles away, I find you: the King of Hell. And not by luck or accident, you made that happen all by yourself. You're not a mother. You can't know what that pride felt like. How huge it was. But can you try to imagine, for me? Now do you understand why it breaks my heart to see what a colossal numb nut you've become? You've got the crown but you're no ruler, not really. A sad, bored wee boy on the throne who'll flop ass up the second those Winchesters, hunters who'd as soon see you dead as have you to tea, ask you to. You're no king. Not any more. You're their bitch!”
“I hate you because, when I look into your eyes, I see the woman I used to be, before magic, before the coven, when I was nothing but Rowena, the tanner's daughter. A pale, scared little girl who smelled of filth and death. I hate you because, when you were born, your father said he loved me. Then he went back to his grand wife and his grand house, whilst I lay pathetic and half-dead on a straw mat - my thighs slick with blood. I hate you, because if I didn't, I'd love you. But love... love is weakness. And I'll never be weak again.”
Then there’s of course “You say that like it’s an insult. Nice girls, they’re pathetic. Here’s to evil skanks.” (to Dean, after he calls her an evil skank). And the iconique “I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR BEING A CAREER WOMAN!!” (to Crowley, after he reproaches her abandonment of him as a child).
Favorite outfit: THIS IS THE MOST UNFAIR QUESTION I’VE EVER ASKED. Seriously, I literally spend all of her scenes making heart eyes at her looks, choosing is too difficult xD
Tumblr media
This purple dress.
Tumblr media
this blue one (just what you casually wear to break into a creepy house with your new frenemy Sam Winchester)
Tumblr media
This purple dressing gown
Tumblr media
This backless red dress
Everything she’s worn has been perfect for her, but I have a weakness for the long dresses.
OTP: Sam/Rowena is a great ship. Although if I’m honests, my favourite relationship of hers altogether is with Crowley. I love a good Bad Mom TM dynamic xDD
Brotp: see above. And I’ve enjoyed her (too few) moments with Castiel and Jack. Also Chuck lol.
Head Canon: I choose to believe she and Bela have crossed paths. Because.
Unpopular opinion: idek. Okay, I have one. You know how fandom obsesses over characters that SUPPOSEDLY have a hard exterior but are secretly softies, and that do terrible things to cover that and protect themselves (I’m looking at you Dean stans lol)? Rowena is the actual real deal here. Accept no substitutes xD
A wish: well, it would’ve been NICE if she hadn’t been so unceremoneously removed from the narrative in s15 (I mean, still a better ending than I would’ve hoped given the show’s track record, but I would’ve preferred to have her in the show moving the plot and all). At least it’s one of those endings with possibility~, so fics will be coming xD
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: the show is done and it could’ve been worse lmao. Dead with no possibility of return/no reigning position in Hell, for one.
5 words to best describe them: powerful, creative, meddling, striking, gracious.
My nickname for them: well, I keep calling her my ideal woman lmao.

For the Character ask meme, Agatha Harkness
First impression: Okay, Agnes is... okay. She’s kinda funny, even if her jokes about how much she hates her husband Ralph is a bit grating. She’s also highkey suspicious. Plus... the last time Kathryn Hahn played a seemingly innocuous and comedic character with seemingly no comics counterpart in a Marvel property, that character ended up being a villain. You’re not fooling me again, Ms. Hahn!
Impression now: Witchy love of my LIFE! Best Marvel villain since Killmonger, and I need to see her again! (As herself, obviously, her forced into the “Agnes” persona creeps me the fuck out.) Can she please have a spinoff?!
Favorite moment: Uh, how about that absolute banger of a villain song? What an introduction to the real her!
Idea for a story: Ever since I saw that gifset of the most powerful MCU magic users, I want to see a team-up. Agatha teaming up with Wanda, Stephen Strange, and Loki for whatever reason! I Just Think It’d Be Neat.
Unpopular opinion: Hmm. I have a few but I think I’ll go with: yeah, what ended up happening to her is pretty damn cruel, actually? And no, even though she did horrible shit, she did not deserve that because no one deserves that, ever. And I’m 85% sure the writers intended this as a character choice for Wanda to show that she can be pretty cruel (which I am Very Okay with, do not get me wrong! I love seeing female characters do fucked up things! That’s why, for instance, I adored Glimmer in s4 and her terrible choices.) but I also do not trust the MCU to follow up on any of that properly. They’d totally handwave it away as, oh, she’s the bad guy, so it’s totes cool to just trap her in her mind like that, that’s super chill! I just can’t help contrasting it to say, what Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts did, where they actually did have the Big Bad end up trapped in her own mind (due to her own actions) and Kipo... freed her from that, reasoning that even though she’s a terrible person, no one deserves to have their mind taken away from themselves, not even her.
Favorite relationship: I adore the relationship between her and Wanda. I got a sense that (and I feel vindicated about it from some of the interviews I’ve read from the creator) Agatha still on some level wanted to connect with Wanda over magic and shit, while still also being a) highkey jealous in that classic DND Wizard vs DND Sorcerer way that Wanda has access to all this crazy magic without studying at all (which, I mean. I get it, man.) and b) power-hungry and selfish so that would certainly make their relationship, ahem, less-than-ideal. It’s a bit funny because before the reveal, I maybe thought for a minute about Wanda/Agnes as a relationship after seeing a gifset of them from the 50s ep with a not-insignificant amount of touching, captioned “Harold....” but ultimately didn’t think much of it as a ship, but as soon as the Agatha reveal happened. Well. What’s better than enemies-to-lovers, amirite? (Also made me realize that the MCU really hasn’t had much fuel for f/f enemies-to-lovers ships until now. The only example I can think of is Peggy/Dottie from Agent Carter. Granted, maybe AoS had some, I never watched much of that show. But the previous female villains in MCU movies (I specify movies cuz those are the ones made by the same studio that made WandaVision I believe), Nebula, Hela, and Ghost, wouldn’t have had that kind of shipping fuel because, in Nebula’s case, the only female Guardian of the Galaxy is her sister, so, no. In Hela’s case, she really didn’t interact with Valkyrie that much? And in Ghost’s case... again, she also didn’t really interact with Hope that much. Though maybe there’s something there with Janet, IDK. Janet did heal her.)
Favorite headcanon: Hmm. I’ve got several. I’ve already mentioned the “moonlighted as a campaign manager named ‘Jennifer Barkley’ in the 2010s” one before so I’ll try to pick another favorite. I think it’s a tossup between, all her jokes about hating her husband was her impression of what straight people are like, and she has some unspecified beef with Loki and they have a mutual hatred/some petty rivalry going on. Granted, I’m stuck between the latter headcanon and “actually if they ever met, they’d get along like a house on fire and possibly set the whole world on fire, oh dear,” mostly cuz I can’t decide which I like more.

thoughts on witchy Sam Winchester?
hi anon!
my take on this is probably going to be unpopular, but i’m not terribly into witch!sam (as opposed to the samwitch ship, which i’m very into). i will admit there are a lot of reasons to like it: the idea of sam being competent and resourceful and plain excited by something that does not involve his brother is awesome, and in the last several years, when it seemed like sam had no escape left out of the hunting life, sam indulging his love for research into the arcane and being badass was great.
but witch!sam comes with the caveat that sam remains involved with the supernatural in some measure, and it’s been a long, long while since he’s last researched the arcane/esoteric just for knowledge’s sake instead of serving the purpose of averting yet another apocalypse. the associations are both traumatic and unavoidable, is what i’m saying. magic itself has a sketchy reputation on spn, associated with deception and unintended consequences and as a means of outright torture and brainwashing.
i’m not saying that’s something sam wouldn’t ever want to revisit... but i’d like to imagine him doing it on his own terms, reading and researching for its own sake rather than to achieve something or to teach it to others.
