Also this isn't unused lore even if you just referenced BW/BW2, this is what an Icirrus City NPC told you:
The legendary Pokémon Reshiram/Zekrom shared its wisdom with the hero and defied foes with columns of fire/fierce lightning. The hero and that Pokémon were as close as a parent and child. People were filled with awe and looked up to them, and that is said to be the beginning of what became ancient Unova.
N if you spoke to him again after your dragon was awakened:
Black: "Get ready! Go after it! Reshiram will incinerate people who fail to keep truth in their heart." White: "Get ready! Go for it! Zekrom will bare its fangs at people who fail to follow their ideals."
And SWSH dex entries again if we go beyond BW/BW2:
Reshiram (Shield): According to myth, if people ignore truth and let themselves become consumed by greed, Reshiram will arrive to burn their kingdoms down. Zekrom (Shield): Mythology tells us that if people lose the righteousness in their hearts, their kingdoms will be razed by Zekrom's lightning.

Unova as a region supposedly has very little ties to Arceus’s creation myth and the creation of the world as a whole. While it has its own legendaries, those legendaries do not have any domain over an object or a concept greater than man itself. Or if they do, in the case of Reshiram and Zekrom, it’s lesso that they actually have control over it and protect it, and moreso they’re icons that simply represent the concept.
However, that does not mean Arceus did not have any influence over Unova as a whole.
Like the Sinnoh trio, Arceus grew to love and adore two people in particular. The Hero of Truth’s Warrior Bride, Genevieve Darby, and The Hero of Ideal’s Life Partner of a Troubadour, Pascal Simone. Both were the ones to carry on the story of the two heroes from their own perspectives.
Who, upon dying in battle by believers of ideals and being executed by believers of truths respectfully, reawakened as Victini and Meloetta as a blessing by Arceus.
It’s not just Meloetta and Victini though, as Kyurem is actually theorized to also be a part of the world’s creation, before it’s untimely shattering as a result of the heroes.
However, no records are available to confirm this. As after the two heroes “died” (fuse with parts of Kyurem to become Reshiram and Zekrom), and Kyurem began to eat every human in its path to become “whole” again, all records and books regarding Kyurem’s myth were burned in the very same square Pascal was executed in. This ultimately escalates to the full burning of the Royal Unovan Library including most historical records.
This series of burnings, starting with the execution of Genevieve and Pascal, would be referred to as “The 100 Day Fire” and is often blamed as the main cause of why so much of Unova’s actual history is blurry and all that simply remains is folklore that stems from the two heroes’ confidants word. And why Arceus itself seems very uninvolved when it actually is.

One thing I find really interesting about the N-Volo interaction is that Volo does acknowledge that Reshiram and Zekrom are legendaries and that N can talk to them ( V: "What beautiful Pokémon! I would expect nothing less from legendary Pokémon! ...And you can understand what they say as well, N?" N: "Yes, of course.") before going on to ask if N can talk to deities. What I got from that is that Volo himself does not consider R+Z as deities despite the fact that I'm pretty sure they're treated as such/similarly in gen 5 (?), which is really interesting to me. Like, to Volo any Legendary or Mythical that is not Arceus is inherently less than regardless of how they are treated or revered by the public. It could always be that Volo doesn't know R+Z are deities, but I personally like the "everything except Arceus is Irrelevant" interpretation more. Adds spice
ooo yeah honestly i completely glossed over this little bit... does make sense for volo to not care about any other powerful pokemon.
but also its really funny for him to see someone wield the power of not one but TWO legendaries from another region and go "ok well. its not the SINNOH legendaries. so they suck and dont matter" HWJBDHHF

SNEASLER NARUTO RUNS!!!

🪬-tell me of gods
the dragons. the dragons are.
they are more powerful than people give them credit for outside of unova. you must stay true to yourself, you must have a strong vision for what you wish for in the future.
the dragons grant blessings to those who prey and follow the truth and stay true to their ideals.
or. so i think anyway

A trip down memory lane! Though the tower seems to have changed…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Celestial tower! Built during the direct aftermath of the Founding Unovan Civil War, it remains a cultural landmark in memory of those lost in the fire and storm.
Tumblr media
Time has dulled the scars left behind by the twin dragons. Today, the tower is primarily used as a mausoleum (the preferred method of burial are urns) and, well, a tourism site. Legend says if you climb to the top of the tower and ring the bell, you can lay your ghosts to rest. But mostly? You can ring a GIANT bell.
Tumblr media
Course, you gotta GET to that bell first.
Masterpost for more pokemon shenanigans here!

PKMN Black - Ansy
One more highlights post before going back to our regular schedule of Diamond x Pearl REWRITE (& please excuse the slight style changes through these lol, as I made some of these a year or two ago, while others I made leading up to posting DxP REWRITE on my Instagram parasol_lady_ansy).
As I said on Ansy’s timeline, BW was a very coming-of-age story for Ansy, maybe the most impactful for her character as a whole. It was her first official Pokémon journey, as her very first one through Kanto was cut short (see timeline), leaving her with PTSD. Enter Rain, her then-service Eevee (now Vaporeon!) - she was given to Ansy right before she moved to Unova to help adjust to life there.
She met all kinds of friends, enemies, rivals, & even a mysterious Champion from another region. This is when she first met Ingo & Emmet (they were about 19, brand new Subway Bosses, while she was 15). Skyla was about 16, & still working on her pilot license where she can fly industrial planes (like she does in BW2), but can fly small recreational aircraft like ultralights. Cynthia was also aged down to a teenager, though older than Ansy (looking forward to when she appears in DxP REWRITE 🖤)
The last fight against N, then Ghetsis, was a big turning point for her, as that was the first time since the incident in Kanto that she finally allowed herself to be angry, synching perfectly with the fiery white dragon Reshiram. She & they have a very deep bond, & while she didn’t catch them (Ansy befriends Legendaries instead of catching them), they would come when called wherever she was in Unova. 🪽

How many wips do you have, boss? Either art or writing or both
Tons. Tons and tons and tons!!!! I blame my hand issues from the last year and a half for starting so many canvases that I couldn’t finish.
I have WIP Wednesday tomorrow for fics, so I suppose I’ll share one of my art WIPs ^^ (and its accompanying concept cause it’s been nagging at me a lot again lately haha)
Tumblr media
KYUREM INGO
This is really a big Nothing concept that’s been nagging at me since last year — I’ve seen so many cool interpretations from the submas fandom about which unovan dragon matches which twin. Reshiram and Zekrom, Ingo and Emmet — but my favorite out of the trio is Kyurem!!! And I am very very biased towards Warden Ingo, so I sort of just connected the two of them together when I saw a lot of dragon/twin connection content.
Warden Ingo is an empty husk of who he once was ever since he was separated from his life, and from Emmet. Drayden’s legend of Kyurem implies Kyurem is the husk of what was left after Reshiram and Zekrom separated.
Hisui is not Ingo’s world; he does not belong there. Another legend from the games says that Kyurem is an alien to this world, having landed from the sky and come somewhere unknown.
Warden Ingo’s clothing is damaged, an extension of himself. Kyurem’s asymmetry with its shorter right side visualizes damage.
Ingo’s memories and who he was as a person leaked out of his mind, but he’s trying his best to regain them. Kyurem’s power is constantly leaking out of its body and it makes efforts to hold it in with ice.
ICE. this one is headcanon-y but I associate Warden Ingo with ice and the cold, probably because of the Pearl clan and its location in the Icelands.
Again, it’s a nothing concept. It’s not an AU because I wouldn’t know what to do with it and I’m not really inclined to. It’s just nothing — it’s a concept in my mind that just floats there because I heavily associate the two with each other as parallels and think about it a lot. And it’s something I have fun drawing just for fun. I even have much rougher WIPs of different designs just mashing Kyurem and Warden Ingo together for fun too, I just felt this one was the most presentable haha.
TLDR: So many WIPs. SO MANY WIPS!!! This concept alone has a ton of scribbles and thoughts that just aren’t really prevalent at all but maybe I’ll share more someday haha.

Gorazi Snivy (Снайви)
Goraz Pokédex #019 Grass Snake Pokémon Type: Grass Size: 2'00" | 17.9lbs Ability: Contrary or Friend Guard (Hidden Ability: Opportunist)
Pokédex Entry: Native to the birch forests of northern Goraz, this regional form, sometimes called the "Birch Snivy" or "Autumn Snivy", is known for its fearless curiosity. They frequently explore the nests and territories of other Pokémon, and while this often results in them being chased away, this never perturbs them.
Gorazi Servine (Сервайн)
Goraz Pokédex #020 Grass Snake Pokémon Type: Grass/Dragon Size: 2'07" | 35.3lbs Ability: Contrary or Friend Guard (Hidden Ability: Opportunist)
Pokédex Entry: As they mature, Gorazi Servine naturally develop a sense of diplomacy, which they seek to hone as they gain in confidence and experience. Bargaining and brokering are often used within colonies both to settle disputes, and as a form of pack-bonding. Due to their typing, the species experiences something of a rivalry with Applin.
Serperlative (Серперлатив)
Goraz Pokédex #021 Charming Pokémon Type: Grass/Dragon Size: 6'00" | 138.9lbs Ability: Contrary or Serene Grace (Hidden Ability: Opportunist)
Pokédex Entry: Unlike their Unovan counterparts, Serperlative are naturally inclined towards pacifism. They use their charismatic disposition to negotiate with other Pokémon, often sharing territory and resources with social groups comprising three or four other species in addition to their own colony, with multiple individuals sharing the duties of parriarch.
The Gorazi Snivy line was commissioned by and belongs to @tesshex. They designed Snivy and Servine, and I designed Serperlative based on their notes and feedback - thanks!

The Circle of Arceus Doesn't Need Modern Legendaries
Tumblr media
(Source: Centro Leaks)
That's right, it's time for me to post a theory about this.
A lot of people are pointing out that this diagram is obsolete simply because there's been five more regions of legendaries since it was made and it's been...almost 20 years. I think that's only partly true. It actually holds up surprisingly well in modern Pokemon.
GameFreak definitely tried to get away from the whole "legendaries are gods" thing after Gen IV, mostly because where do you go after Arceus? So you don't get a lot of newer legendaries involved in the creation of the Pokemon world.
Plus, GameFreak used to have these random moments where they worried about continuity. Why do we need incense to evolve the Baby Pokemon from Sinnoh? You think players are going to complain that Munchlax should've hatched in Johto? Well, you might be right...but still.
That might be why a lot of newer legendaries have an alibi that explains why they weren't in the Pokemon World when it was created. Many of them were either in Space, or "Ultra" Space:
The Orignal Dragon of Unova
The Cosmog Line
Necrozma
Eternatus
Tumblr media
By the way, some professor really should look into the reason so many incredibly dangerous space dragons are just dropping into the Pokemon world.
Then there's legendaries that are strong in the context of their story, and some are even worshiped, but they're more like regional gods and myths.
The Swords of Justice
The Tapus
The Legendary Heroes
Kubfu Line
Calyrex and His Steeds
The Paradox Duo
The Treasures of Ruin
Ogerpon
Most modern mythicals unfortunately fall hard into this category, to the point that some are literally just a monkey, Zarude. Actually, there's no need to list the others. You get the idea.
But who does fit the circle?
That leaves the Aura Trio, the Forces of Nature, and...Terapagos. In my opinion, these legendaries would be right at home in the circle. The Aura Trio deals in life and death, which is pretty major.
Tumblr media
That Yggdrasil inspiration would make the Aura Trio right at home on the tree of life from the beta origin story. You know, that "giant tree of life" that Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre broke apart, that turned into the sky, earth, and ocean?
The three gathered in a circle and prayed, and the seed sprouted. The sprout quickly grew, and became the giant tree of life. However, the tree continued to grow, soon filling the entire world, and no one was able to move.
(...) RAYQUAZA wrapped its body around the tree of life. GROUDON and KYOGRE slammed their bodies into the tree of life. Eventually, the tree fell and broke into three pieces.
REI, AI, and HAI prayed, saddened that the tree would rot away like this. Then, the pieces of the broken tree would transform into the sky, earth, and ocean. RAYQUAZA became the pillar that holds the sky.
(Source: Centro Leaks)
Yeah, now I'm thinking the Aura Trio are more of a second try at this whole tree of life thing at GameFreak. Because the whole "Rayquaza wrapped its body around the tree" gives me major Yggdrasil vibes. Surprise Pokemon theorists, Nidhogg isn't Zygarde...it's Rayquaza!
Rayquaza did Ragnarok!
But some people think the Aura Trio are aliens who came to earth on the meteor that the Anistar City Moondial was made from, so that would explain why the Aura Trio aren't in the circle. After all, the Unovan Original Dragon came from a meteor just one generation earlier.
Tumblr media
There's also the alleged "original story" rumor for XY that claimed that XY was originally about aliens. The Teraleak probably has something to say about that. So the jury's out about the Aura Trio - they could belong in the circle, but they might be aliens.
(Wait, the rumor was that the alien plot was cut for time? As in, it would have been included (and maybe made less "weird") if they didn't rush? So is THAT was what in Southern Kalos...)
Or maybe my theory is wrong. Deoxys is on the outer layer of the circle after all. Maybe Arceus doesn't discriminate against aliens, they just have to stay on the outer layer. It's not that much of a difference either way - there's plenty of room on the outer layer with the other mythicals. I'm talking about the head honchos really.
The Forces of Nature probably belong on the circle, if we're being honest. They kind of clash with the Legendary Birds' role in the mythos as "weather" gods, but they should be on there.
Lastly...Terapagos is an enigma when it comes to this whole post. It might be more powerful than Eternatus, since "tera" is more power than "giga", right? It's so much power it can literally warp a Pokemon's type. Like Arceus, or genetic engineering.
Tumblr media
And Terapagos isn't an alien like Eternatus, at least there's no evidence of it. It's been stuck underground, but it used to live on land. I would say it's just a really, really powerful Pokemon that isn't technically godly, but it's literally based on the World Turtle, another creation myth.
It's in the same boat as the Aura Trio, only it's not an alien. Except, it is responsible for the "Stellar" type, as in stars. And there is this Pokedex entry:
An old expedition journal describes the sight of this Pokémon buried in the depths of the earth as resembling a planet floating in space.
Who says that planet is Earth? What if that's its homeworld?
Terapagos doesn't just borrow inspiration from the world, but the idea of worlds itself, or the philosophical idea of "turtles all the way down". Not only does it depict a world, but a world on a world. A world on a world on a -
I don't know how to end this. Are all my Teraleak theories going to be this long? I hope not. Happy Teraleak! Enjoy the leak!
---
Edit: Changed the name of the title. It used to be called "Newer Legendaries Just Aren't in Arceus' Personal Circle".
All pics other than the Arceus circle are from Bulbapedia. It's easier that way.

If the Beasts/Ancients had signature pokémon (or were pokémon themselves) what do you think they would be? I just know White Lily needs to be a fairy type
Do you have the slightest idea how happy I am to have gotten this ask
Time to flex my encyclopedic knowledge + almost 20 years of playing Pokémon
(Note: gonna stick to just assigning types to them, if that's ok)
A N C I E N T S
Pure Vanilla as a Pokemon: Normal/Psychic (thought of Normal/Fairy, but I thought Psychic may suit him better bc of his magic + the Light of Truth + the association with intelligence/knowledge the Psychic type has always had)
Pure Vanilla as a trainer: The very first Pokemon that came to my mind was Audino. Something about Vanilla says he'd be an Audino guy. I'm not even sure what it is, Blissey would probably be slightly more fitting, but I keep imagining him being besties with an Audino and it's adorable to me
Hollyberry as a Pokemon: Normal/Fighting, I think (or perhaps Fairy/Fighting, because of Fairy's power over and invulnerability towards Dragon)
Hollyberry as a trainer: Hmm... Bastiodon kind of feels like the easy way out tbh. Tinkaton would be funny (but suits Princess a lot better imo). Chesnaught reflects her fighting style and personality pretty well... Chesnaught it is
Dark Cacao as a Pokemon: Dark/Fighting for sure (I considered Dark/Ice as well, but I just can't ignore the Fighting type for him. I feel like I'd be committing a crime if I did. Also, I don't think he's actually from the Great Icing Ridge? It's not super clear, but Might of the Ancients made it seem like he was a traveler from somewhere else. That could perhaps be used as justification for shelving the Ice type for him. (Also also you don't NEED to be Ice-type to live in cold places, plenty of other types seen in snowy biomes in Pokemon)
Dark Cacao as a trainer: Man would be rocking a Kingambit, change my mind
Golden Cheese as a Pokemon: Ground/Flying, duh. (Or maybe Rock/Flying? Ground seems better idk)
Golden Cheese as a trainer: It's hard. There are so many Pokemon that would suit her imo. Sableye. Diancie. Persian (Kantonian or Alolan, doesn't matter). Unfezant (female, the Pokedex repeatedly lists them as superior fliers). But... keeping with the lore of both CRK and Pokemon... I think, after she wakes up and reenters the world, all Golden should have is the one Sigilyph left in the entire desert, who chose to be loyal to her and the kingdom to the very end and beyond
Just want to note that Golden Cheese would be besties with Olivia and you cannot change my mind on that
White Lily as a Pokemon: Grass/Fairy with some Dark-type moves available in her movepool as a nod to her being Dark Enchantress, change my mind
White Lily as a trainer: FLORGES! WHITE FLOWER FORM! RAAAAHHHHHHH
B E A S T S
Shadow Milk as a Pokemon: Dark/Psychic, duh
Shadow Milk as a trainer: this one is tough tbh. Malamar? Banette? Zoroark (Unovan)? Probably Malamar due to its natural malevolence and hypnotism powers tbh (but the other two are so compelling... why did I limit myself to an ace for each of them...). Also, I think he would've had a Slowking as a hero
Eternal Sugar as a Pokemon: leaning towards Fairy/Poison, latter because I've already been imagining her as a succubus of some sort and Poison suits that better (yes I know she has wings, Flying is a basic bitch answer and not all winged Pokemon are classified as Flying-types)
Eternal Sugar as a trainer: Komala is right there... but so is Musharna :/ (lots of "dream eater" Pokemon would suit her probably. Which is funny bc most of those are Ghost-types lol)
Mystic Flour as a Pokemon: Psychic at the very least. Not sure about a second type though... (or just make her Mewtwo from the anime/movies, they've got the same genocidal emo attitude lol)
Mystic Flour as a trainer: Girlie gets an Espeon, the end. (Maybe she knew Jirachi once upon a time)
Burning Spice as a Pokemon: Fire/Fighting (thought of Fire/Dark too, but... same deal as with Cacao, if I didn't add Fighting I'd probably go to jail)
Burning Spice as a trainer: Incineroar Incineroar Incineroar Incineroar Incineroar Incineroar Incineroar- (he'd suck ass as a trainer though, just because I know he'd treat his Pokemon terribly, the same way he mistreats the Wild Spices...)
Silent Salt as a Pokemon: Dark/Steel. Like. Come on lol
Silent Salt as a trainer: Something else that would land me in prison is not giving Salt an Aegislash lol. Or maybe a Bisharp. And a Corviknight. (Perhaps he would have met Cobalion while he was still a hero)
I'M STARTING TO IMAGINE A POKEMON AU NOW. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME. I'VE GOT, LIKE, EIGHT OTHER AUs I'M JUGGLING IN MY HEAD ALREADY. NOW I WANT TO MAKE UP ANGST FOR GOLDIE AND THAT SIGILYPH. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS
(you can atone for your sins by asking me for full teams for each of these good-for-nothing short stacks)
