Indeed. Humans and Pokemon cooperating are only truly an issue in our time. And even then, it's not just possible, it's beneficial. Plasma needs to be stopped.

Something to note about Kieran (sorry, I don't have screenshots yet) is that from what I can remember, his dialogue never indicates that Ogrepon's perceived actions were wrong, just that he wanted to become as strong as it.

The seeds of his villain arc were already there, and while it's hard not to blame him (Carmine being so overbearing, the implications the villagers don't like them due to their ancestry, attending an elite/high tech school in Unova after a lifetime as a country kid, etc.), it makes you understand why Ogrepon didn't choose to go with him.

The thing they don't tell you about setting up a lab facility is how much furniture you have to purchase. Just the break rooms and offices and overnight rooms feel like furnishing a house!

Then you have all the lab supplies and the supplies for arranging the enclosures... The good news is the absolute basics were already ordered for me and I've just been having to set those up... I probably should've been interviewing people while I was out of region so I could have help for this but you know. Hindsight is 20 20 as the saying goes. And besides its easy enough for me to hook things up when I can easily fit under the desks and tables. It's like having a patrat rummaging around in there for you except you are the patrat and the person doing the wiring and the tech making sure everything functions properly and they don't make enough Mewtube tutorials for this stuff they really don't.

[The video begins with a Samurott delivering a final X-Scissor to a Zoroark, causing it to faint.

"Yesyes!" Illanero said, cheering.

"I...I and Zekrom lost," N said, looking down at the ground.

"Reshiram and Zekrom...two dragons choosing two heroes. One pursuing truth, one pursuing ideals," N said. "Could they both be right? ...I don't know."

He seems to be pondering something, as he continues speaking. "It's not by rejecting different ideas, but by accepting different ideas that the world creates a chemical reaction. This is truly the formula for changing the world."

"So, can we be friends now?" Illanero asks, running up to N with xyr tail wagging. "Like you wanted back in Nacrene City?"

"I..." N begins, but trails off as Ghetsis enters the room.

"After all of that," Ghetsis says, "Do you think you're still worthy of sharing the name Harmonia with me? You good-for-nothing boy!"

"But we both tried our best!" Illanero said. "It was a fair battle! N's the king of Team Plasma, not you, right? So you have to listen to him!"

"You truly are a fool, aren't you?" Ghetsis says, "But what else should I have expected from a lowly Pokemon?"

"To start with, I spurned N into pursuing ideals," Ghetsis continued. "The reason we awakened the legendary Pokemon now was to give MY Team Plasma more power! Power to control the fearful masses! That, at least, was well done."

Ghetsis walked up to N, who was starting to tremble. "After saying you had to put your beliefs on the line and battle to see which one chosen by the legendary Pokemon was the true hero...you lost to a Zorua! There is now such a thing as being too stupid!"

"Stop it!" Illanero shouted, but Ghetsis continued.

"Add it up," Ghetsis said, "And you are nothing more than a warped, defective boy who knows nothing but Pokemon..."

"I...dad..." N said, voice breaking. Ghetsis ignored him, though, and turned towards Illanero.

"Zorua...to think that the legendary Pokemon would choose another Pokemon! It caught me completely off guard," Ghetsis said. "But this doesn't change my goal. My plans have not been disturbed! In order to rule this world utterly, in order to manipulate the hearts of people who know nothing, I will have N be the puppet king of Team Plasma."

A sinister smirk crossed Ghetsis' face. "But, for that to work, since you know the truth...you must be eliminated!"
