I’m very behind uploading videos of … anything! Here! But here have some cute colored skulls I unmolded today.
I still need a name for this color combo! Also the colors are both fluorescent, so this should react in black light! I’ll try to get a video once they have findings.

Haylo, so this Demon 💀 came from havin leftover black resin & needin 2 put it sumwhere. So i made this! I 1st poured sum in2 the horns of the mold, then i 4got about it 4 idek how long.😂😅🤷🏻♀️ But wen i finally DID remember this thing, i mixed up sum redish resin & filled it the rest of the way. This is wut i was workin on wen Wednesday's disaster happened.😂 It was cool wen i unmolded it, but then i thought, " hey, sum cryin black tears like a possessed doll would b even cooler! " So i added that & here we r!😁👍🏻 The red did turn still bubbly as all freak town but tbh even loox cool so, i aint mad about it.👌🏻 Well, ima let cha get back 2 ur scrollin. So. I started doing resin art stuff. Just a few little things to see if I liked it and I love it. Let me know if anyone wants to see when I unmold this stuff.

So put a Persephone and Hades inspired set each in the pot today as well as one of my orders I still need to get done. My hope is the Hades ones come out like I wanted them to... The Persephone ones we’ll see, but I messed up how much resin I would need for one color over another, so they might not come out like I hoped... But who knows, they might come out even BETTER! I’ll post a video of the unmolding tomorrow... Because I think it’s good to show both successes and failures!

🌟💚💖
🌟 What is your favorite type of crafting (knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, etc) and why?
I feel like my favorite by a mile has been resin crafting. I liked doing UV resin jewelry but I fucking LOVE doing epoxy work. It’s really frustrating sometimes because it can be a little finicky and I’m still working out how to stop getting gaps and bubbles in certain molds but NOTHING feels as good as unmolding a resin piece and thinking “holy shit I made that”
💚 How long have you been crafting and how did you get started?
My whole life? I mean, my memaw started teaching me to make doll clothes when I was a toddler. I never did get very good at sewing or any of the fiber arts (sorry memaw) but I love doing mixed media stuff and jewelry making. I’ve been doing crafting as like a job for about a year though.
💖 Which one of your creations are you the proudest of? Show off!
I already showed my flower shadow box, but I love this little dude too! I made him out of resin using mica powder and I wore him as a necklace to Ren Faire

Another cute trinket dish made with leftover resin.
This mold originally had a pronounced lip that later peeled off, so I’m waiting to see if the piece still casts nicely.

Nonbinary dice, I actually really like how they came out
Ace dice, I think i messed the color ratio up a bit but you can still tell what flag they're supposed to represent
Trans dice, the colors mixed together in the first two so I did another one with darker pinks and blues and somehow they completely drowned out the white
Pan dice, my favorite, they look like little galaxies
Decided to try something different for a lesbian die and used clear resin with glitter and flowers in the colors of the lesbian flag. It's really cute.
I don't have anything to sand down the edges where I unmolded so they look a bit wonky but for my first resin project I think that's still pretty good.
I'm definitely going to be making more dice with more different flags for next years pride. By then I'll probably be able to hand a die out to everyone xd
I'm making some pride d20s to hand out tomorrow on my local pride parade
Gonna take some pictures once they're done. They look really shit but it's the first time I did anything with self made silicone molds and epoxy resin so I'm still really proud of them xd

Before I forget to mention it as well: Etsy stuff will be set up tomorrow! I'll only be opening to the US first, but I'll be figuring out Canada shipping soon. It might wind up that I need to tack on a shipping charge for international stuff, but I'm hoping to avoid it tbh. Stickers are light, it should be okay right??
#also have another dice set in the mold rn#so we'll see if that set fares better than the last and if so! maybe dice will be a thing too#i only have one dice mold but I'm thinking... thinking of doing dice comms#they're sharp edged resin dice and they look so pretty once they're unmolded but#I'm still learning different methods of coloring and glitter and embeds#i have some moss dice in the mold rn!!#they're gonna look so nice

Oh dear, this can't be good. Don't worry about another surgery to take them out they should...pass eventually. All that aside creating our pair of dice to replace those that you ate shouldn't be that difficult I'm sure we picked up some knowledge talking to the Dice Maker we can even use some of their tools, if we ask nicely I'm sure.
Now to get to work. The Dice Makers molds are made of white silicone strong enough to hold shape, but it is still easy to remove the dice once finished.
We need to pour an equal amount of the hardener into our resin. Next, we mix this thoroughly until you see no more streaks. The mixture looks clear now. That seems correct. Adding in some blue dye is all that's left to do to prepare our resin for the molds.
Moving the resin from the cup to fill the mold through the hole in the lid is a careful process. You must keep adding resin until it starts to spill through, and then you'll know the molds are full.
For now, the molds must cure, so you've had to come back after a day.
after unmolding your dice you carefully use a knife or to remove any extra resin along the dice edges.
Fill in the numbers and words with a fine point marker, following the imprint left by the mold. Trace every marking carefully as many times to get an opaque finish.
With that it is done they aren't perfect but they also aren't in a turtles stomach so I'm sure @jean-heron-viq will take them...
@the-torquedork Do you have any tools or info on how dices are made? A D20 sides dices more specifically. I'm in inquiries of a pair,if you're able to assist.
