The new "Scott Pilgrim" animated television show is going to reignite my burning desire to write a Scott Pilgrim AU for SVSSS, I know it. I don't have time, but I still WANT to write a Modern AU about these losers fucking around Toronto, and "getting out of the city to clear my head" only to reveal that they went to fucking Mississauga or something, and, idk, getting stuck on the 401 for some reason.
I don't like matching characters up perfectly to other characters in AUs, or forcing them along the exact plots of the media being used as an AU, because I like letting Fusion AUs unfold as naturally as possible. It makes things more surprising and it keeps the characterization strong.
But Shen Yuan is Scott, obviously, who desperately needs to level up his emotional maturity. Luo Binghe is probably a combo of Knives and Ramona, and it's HIS "exes" of some kind that Shen Yuan needs to fight (the final "ex" is revealed to be Shen Jiu or something, probably). Airplane Bro is Shen Yuan's roommate (it's Shen Yuan's apartment) and it STUNS Shen Yuan to realize that his stallion-novel-writing older roommate is gay. I don't really know what Mobei-Jun is doing in this AU, but his most important "superpower" is probably that he's the only one who actually owns a car AND has his full G license.
The truly exciting thing would be bringing in Shen Yuan's sister (the one who apparently reads gay non-con bondage erotica and accidentally scared Shen Yuan with it) in as Stacey Pilgrim. It would be fun to explore Shen Yuan's family dynamics for once.
Also, you can totally keep demons and the System and potentially even transmigration in as background elements, because that's just what "Scott Pilgrim" is like. Yeah, yeah, the Secret P.A.T.H. on Spadina Avenue that you can take to the Cultivation Realm so that you can level up your fighting skills over the summer break, we've all heard about it. You can also get there on a Go Train from Union Station, but it's only running at like 7 AM for some reason.
"Once upon a time, in the far off land of Toronto, Canada... Shen Yuan is dating a high-schooler..."
"HE'S IN UNIVERSITY! AND WE'RE NOT DATING! I'M JUST TUTORING HIM."
"Lol, okay, bro."

EXTRAS.
𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘.
Dr. Rohan Abbasi first came to the Foundation’s attention shortly following the defense and subsequent publication of his master’s thesis, entitled “Correlation between the potency of hallucinogens in the mouse head-twitch response assay and their behavioral and subjective effects in other species.” (Neuropharmacology 2014). An auspicious start for someone who was, of his own admission, little more than a glorified lab grunt prior to the manuscript’s completion. The Foundation’s growing interest in Dr. Abbasi swiftly followed with his continuing doctoral research into the treatment of complex-PTSD and psychopathies with medical-grade psychedelics and hallucinogens. Records indicate this culmination of Dr. Abbasi’s academic focus to be some combination of chance — with a Research Assistantship in Professor Szymanski’s research group at the University of Toronto open, and Rohan Abbasi in need of additional funding — and a longer trend of interest in and unorthodox approaches to pharmacology and medicine. It was with this in mind that a small but robustly funded lab at site-17 solicited a freshly minted Dr. Abbasi to interview for an opening postdoctoral research position within the group. In the seven years since his tenure at the Foundation began, Dr. Rohan Abbasi’s reputation and portfolio tell vastly different stories of the same man. Colleagues and close personal acquaintances of Dr. Abbasi consistently praise the discipline, energy, and creativity he brings to research settings. Indeed, much of Dr. Abbasi’s early career at the Foundation is categorized by a nearly unending stream of proposals submitted, findings published, journal clubs established, and special interest committees formed. It became, however, the concern of his hiring supervisor that such enthusiasm and, frankly, naivete would outstrip the professional demands of this particular role. Following agreement from all parties, Dr. Abbasi’s fellowship continued under the supervision of the Keir group. Thus, a pattern began to emerge. Dr. Abbasi filled his new position with what former colleagues would now consider characteristic effusiveness and vigor. Rohan himself jumped between several projects, submitting additional proposals for each with or without final approval from his new supervisor, nearly all of which were, unsurprisingly, summarily rejected. This had seemingly little effect on Dr. Abbasi’s commitment to proposing outlandish, unorthodox, unrealistic, and in more than a few cases downright insulting avenues of research or applications of novel (often as-yet-unreplicated) findings. Neither Dr. Abbasi nor his new team were under any illusions, then, on the circumstances and stakes surrounding the assumption of his third post, now in the Anomalous Entity Engagement Division. Indeed, it seems he has finally understood the precarious situation he has continuously engaged in, and has pivoted to bolstering his professional reputation alongside his personal. It’s with this mutual agreement that Dr. Abbasi has been encouraged to continue his work on class B amnestics.

Stephen’s interview at 2023 Skate America, published in World Figure Skating Magazine No. 99.
Stephen Gogolev 11th place men
I want to prove it to myself as well
WFSM: Reflecting on Skate America, how was it?
SG: It’s a disappointing result, but it’s a sport so sometimes there are bad times. I want to work harder in practice. The American audience gave me a boost; I think it gave me energy in terms of expression.
WFSM: This season’s free skate is choreographed by Benoît Richaud.
SG: He showed me several pieces of music; I chose three pieces from them that we joined together to create this program. It was very interesting to create a program with him that felt completely different from anything I had ever done before. I couldn’t get used to the music at first but it became fun while practising it, and I started to think I wanted to do my best to skate this free skate.
WFSM: What kind of preparation have you done for this season?
SG: Right now I’m training in California but this summer I went to Toronto and took part in the Canadian National Team Camp.¹ At the camp you skate your short and free in the style of a competition. It’s a way of getting feedback from the judges – there I got advice from the judges about spin positions, choreography, and step sequences.
WFSM: With Mr. Keegan Messing’s² retirement it’s time for a generational change for the Canadian men, isn’t it?
SG: Of course my goal is to become Canadian champion within a few years. But there are still competitions until then, and I want to do my best regardless of the competition.
WFSM: Have you met any of Canada’s retired star skaters?
SG: I see them on various occasions such as at the Canadian Championships. For example: recently when I went to Granite Club in Toronto I met Kurt Browning who congratulated me on my 3rd place finish at Autumn Classic International.
WFSM: Are medals an incentive?
SG: Of course, this is my first medal in senior international competition; I think it gave me confidence that I can do more.
WFSM: Are you currently a university student?
SG: I go to University of California Irvine. My major is political science. I decided on it because it was a field I was interested in.
WFSM: When do you think you are the happiest?
SG: I’m not sure. I think it’s probably when I’m busy. Of course I’m happy spending time with family or playing tennis, but I’m the type of person who feels fulfilled when I’m busy.
WFSM: Your goals for this season are?
SG: I want to fight so that I can properly show what I am capable of. I want to prove to myself that I can do it, prove that I can go beyond my limits. I think it will be good if I can gain experience in international competitions.³
WFSM: Do you enjoy competitions?
SG: I have come to enjoy them over the last few years. I can meet friends as well as new people. It’s nice to cheer on my friends.

Notes:
High Performance Camp, held at the end of August in Mississauga, ON.
Keegan was named politely with the -san suffix.
This is stated as - he hopes to get more experience competing internationally. Literally translating to ‘pile up experience’.
----
Despite how sad he looks in that photo Stephen answered the questions clearly. That’s good to see.
Stephen never goes in much detail about what is going on with him. But occasionally we get small amounts of info. Here we see that he is addressing his belief in himself. It's never been about a lack or loss of talent for him, he just needs to get his self-confidence back.
Kurt’s continued support of Stephen is invaluable. Kurt mentioned he’s known Stephen since he was 8 years old, before he moved to North America, and he hasn’t forgotten him since. You just have to love Kurt and all that he does for this sport.
Also it's nice to finally hear about what Stephen’s studying. It would be interesting to get his thoughts on current international affairs, but he would not share anything with strangers. I am wondering now what he plans to do after undergrad. Perhaps studying law? Public service, or public office? We got one answer, but more questions have now popped up. He’s a smart guy so I am sure he will succeed no matter what he plans to do.
This interview was over two pages which I have just stitched together in the image above. Here is a bonus image from 2023 Grand Prix de France which was shared as part of a collage from that event on another page. The caption states Stephen was 7th in the men's event. Thank you to World Figure Skating Magazine for interviewing Stephen. This was an insightful and considerate interview.

Understanding Keyword Cost Per Click in Mississauga: A Guide for Businesses
Your internet marketing campaigns' success in the cutthroat digital world of today depends on your ability to comprehend and control Keyword Cost Per Click in Mississauga. Understanding keyword CPC is crucial for Mississauga businesses hoping to maximize their advertising budget and connect with more niche markets. We at Acorn Universal are committed to assisting businesses in navigating the intricate realm of digital advertising by providing advice on how to optimize outcomes while lowering expenses. All the information you require regarding keyword CPC and its effects on your company is broken down in this tutorial.
What is Keyword Cost Per Click?
In a pay-per-click campaign, the cost an advertiser pays each time a user clicks on their ad is known as the keyword cost per click (CPC). Because it immediately affects the ad budget and establishes the maximum number of clicks your ad can obtain within a given budget, CPC is a crucial metric in PPC campaigns. Relevance to the target audience, competition, and keyword popularity all affect the cost per click.
In Mississauga, keyword CPC varies by industry and is influenced by advertising trends, keyword relevancy, and regional competitiveness. For instance, CPC rates may be higher in highly competitive businesses like real estate or legal services, but they may be lower in specialist areas with fewer searches.
Importance of Keyword CPC for Businesses
Understanding keyword CPC allows businesses to better plan their marketing budgets. Here’s how it can impact your business:
Budget Allocation: Campaign budgets can be allocated more precisely when the CPC is known. Businesses can use this information to set reasonable goals for how many clicks or leads they can produce within a given budget.
Cost Efficiency: Businesses can concentrate on more affordable keywords that still generate quality traffic by knowing which keywords have a higher or lower CPC.
Targeting and Strategy: Businesses should select keywords that generate more conversions in relation to their expenses by using CPC analytics to improve targeting and strategy.
Competitive Analysis: You can determine the intensity of competition and modify your bidding tactics by monitoring CPC trends in your sector.
Factors Influencing Keyword CPC in Mississauga
For businesses targeting audiences in Mississauga, several factors contribute to keyword CPC variations:
1. Competition
CPCs rise as competition increases. For instance, there is typically fierce competition in sectors like financial services and e-commerce, which raises CPCs. Businesses in narrow markets with fewer advertising, on the other hand, should anticipate lower CPCs.
2. Keyword Relevance and Quality Score
Each keyword is given a Quality Score by search engines according to how relevant it is to the landing page experience and ad content. Because it shows that the ad is valuable to users, a higher Quality Score can result in a cheaper CPC. Concentrate on creating extremely relevant keywords and advertisements that suit the audience's intent in order to maximize CPC.
3. Geographical Targeting
Depending on your geographic targeting, the CPC may change. CPC rates in Mississauga may be impacted by local competition and keyword popularity. Because there is more competition, ads that target larger areas, such as the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), may have higher CPCs.
Tips to Manage Keyword CPC Effectively
To maximize your ad budget, consider these strategies for managing CPC:
1. Perform Keyword Research
Finding terms that offer value at the best cost per click requires thorough keyword research. You may evaluate the CPC and degree of competition for high-performing keywords in Mississauga with the aid of tools like Google Keyword Planner or SEMrush. Look for keywords that have a strong conversion potential and a fair cost per click.
2. Focus on Long-Tail Keywords
Because long-tail keywords are more specialized and typically have lower CPCs, they generate higher-quality traffic. For instance, use more focused phrases like "affordable condos in Mississauga" or "Mississauga real estate agent" rather than "real estate." This strategy reduces total CPC and draws customers with obvious buy intent.
3. Optimize Quality Score
A key factor in determining CPC is the Quality Score. Make sure your landing pages and advertisements are user-friendly and pertinent in order to raise your Quality Score. Lower CPCs and higher Quality Scores are a result of well-designed landing pages with pertinent content, quick load speeds, and easy navigation.
4. Utilize Geotargeting
Your advertisements will be more relevant to local consumers if you utilize geotargeting to target viewers in certain areas, such as Mississauga. While cutting down on wasteful spending on pointless clicks, this strategy raises the possibility of clicks and conversions.
5. Monitor Competitor CPC Trends
To comprehend competitive bidding, keep up with the latest CPC trends in your business. You can modify your bids and tactics to be competitive without going over budget by looking at the CPCs of your rivals. Tools that provide information on rival bids and ad performance include Google Ads Auction Insights and third-party platforms.
Conclusion
To get the most out of their digital advertising spending, Mississauga firms must comprehend and optimize keyword Cost Per Click (CPC). Businesses can improve performance and expand their reach among target customers by understanding the elements that affect CPC and putting appropriate management methods into place.
By giving local businesses the skills, resources, and tactics they need to maximize every advertising dollar, we at Acorn Universal are dedicated to helping them succeed in their digital marketing initiatives. Get in touch with Acorn Universal right now to find out how we can help you optimize your CPC approach for success, regardless of whether you're new to digital advertising or want to improve your existing tactics.

How Does Competition Affect Keyword Cost Per Click in Mississauga?
Mississauga's digital advertisers, marketing directors, and small company owners must be aware of how competitive impact their online advertising expenditures, especially with regard to keyword cost per click in Mississauga. You may maximize your ad spend and make wise choices about your PPC (pay-per-click) tactics by learning more about this component.
In the crowded Mississauga market, internet advertising is a powerful tool for businesses trying to connect with their target market. It is crucial to comprehend how competition affects keyword cost per clicks (CPC). At Acorn Universal, we think that you can greatly improve your marketing efforts and return on investment by taking a well-informed approach to PPC advertising.
Understanding Keyword Cost Per Click (CPC)
Cost per click (CPC) is the amount you pay each time someone clicks on your advertisement. It’s a key performance indicator for PPC advertising that directly affects your advertising budget and the success of your overall campaign. Competition is one of the biggest determinants of CPC for any particular keyword, which can vary greatly depending on various factors.
The Role of Competition in CPC
High Demand Equals High CPC
Popular keywords are frequently more expensive in regions with intense competition, such as Mississauga. This is a result of rival companies fighting for the same keywords in an effort to draw in the same target market. Due to the intense rivalry faced by local businesses, CPC rates for phrases such as "best restaurants in Mississauga" or "top real estate agents in Mississauga" are sometimes high.
Bidding Wars
PPC advertising uses a bidding procedure to function. Businesses compete with one another for ad placement when they target the same term. Bids rise in response to increased competition, which raises the CPC. At Acorn Universal, we counsel our clients to keep a careful eye on their bid methods in order to stay within their allocated budgets.
Strategies to Manage CPC in a Competitive Market
Long-Tail KeywordsInstead of targeting highly competitive keywords, consider using long-tail keywords. These are more targeted and often less competitive, resulting in lower CPCs. For instance, "family-owned Italian restaurant in Mississauga" may be a more cost-effective keyword than "Italian restaurant Mississauga."
Geographic TargetingNarrowing down your geographic targeting can help reduce competition. Focus on specific Mississauga neighborhoods or areas where your potential customers are more likely to be found, rather than adopting a broad targeting approach.
