Background

Originally part of the BSAA along with Chris, Blake is a stern opinionated individual who takes her job very seriously. After the events in Edonia that turned into the Global Bioterror Attack in 2012-13, Blake, Rolando, Dion, Charlie, John, and Emily were recruited to be part of a special unit tasked with covert operations and cover-ups to help the public stay at ease and let the world recover.

And for a time, the BSAA made meticulous decisions about how bioterrorism was handled. Creating something akin to a "Scorched Earth" protocol, the BSAA was set on stopping and ending as many bioweapons as possible, making Chris and his team spread out all over the U.S. in search of any info or organizations that could be hiding.

In 2014 Chris was handling an outbreak in New York, while Blake and Dion were tasked with gathering information about E-001, an E-Type fungal B.O.W. otherwise known as Eveline, which was developed in the early 2000s by the crime syndicate The Connections. After the BSAA's failure to intercept in Munich, they continued their research and investigation, unaware that the BSAA directors had covered up said failure in order to save face.

This in turn led up to the soon-to-be events in Louisianna involving Ethan Winters in 2017. Despite their best efforts, not only were innocent civilians (the Baker family) infected by Eveline, but an entire section of land was quarantined and covered up with the help of the National Guard and Dulvey Parish Sheriff's Office.

During that endeavor, Blake discovered that the BSAA was hiding the truth of many things, including research and data about E-001 and who The Connection was working with. After she shared this revelation with Chris, she had never seen him so enraged. Gathering those he trusted, Chris created his own team called the "Hound Wolf Squad" and broke away from the BSAA to help Ethan and his wife Mia move to Europe and start over.

Resident Evil Village (Pre-campaign)

While most of the Hound Wolf Squad was investing their time into helping Ethan and Mia adjust to their new life in Europe, Blake, and Tundra (Emily) started investigating the origins of the mutagen mold, tracing it back to a village in Romania. After a year of in-depth research, they had narrowed down the molds' point of origin.

Blake took the opportunity to dust off her skills at infiltration and opted to live in the village for as long as necessary. Chris, hesitantly agreed to the plan and it took Blake explaining that it was better to get a head start before anyone else had made a move.

As a Hound Wolf Squad member, Blake is most well known for her recon with Tundra. Adorning the codename "Dire," Blake and Emily split their forces to gather intel. Emily would watch on the outskirts of the village and make note of movement and general schedule patterns, while Blake would integrate herself as if she'd lived there since birth.

But then came the hard part. Upon the discovery of the Mold, Blake and Emily found out that it had chosen a champion, who just so happened to be a scientist and her name was Miranda. In the village, she knew all and could see all that happened if she so chose, so the question was, how could Blake get in without getting noticed.

To her surprise a very peculiar individual offered to help. He went by The Duke, and he promised her a strong chance of survival if she pretended that she worked for him. She'd have to prove herself of course, but in doing so, there would be less suspicion that she was someone who sought the destruction of what lay beneath the village.

So began Blake's two-year journey in the village.

The year is 20XX. The world is slowly approaching a post-scarcity utopia supported by unprecedented advances in technology and science. Quantum and classical physics have been united, asteroid mining has made electronic components cheap and abundant, medical technology guarantees a higher quality of life, and most recently, inorganic matter has been able to be converted into data and back.

Dr. Light and Dr. Wily developed a “robotic support system”, a type of protective suit integrated with incredibly advanced robotic tools for specific dangerous tasks, like rescues, handling hazardous material, or performing tasks in extreme environments. Light wants the suits to be used to help advance the frontiers of science, while Wily is more interested in its military applications despite large-scale conflicts being minimal in the present day. These support systems are integrated into the body to the point that removing them requires special equipment (think like an HEV suit), but the suits themselves are very powerful and cutting-edge. Light’s proposal to use them for scientific reasons is what ultimately wins out, and Wily is shunned for pushing for military use. Soon after this, Wily simply vanishes without a trace, which bothers Light but he can’t do anything about it.

At some point Light saves his oldest son, Blues, from dying of a heart condition with a suit prototype (LRSS-000) that regulates his heart rate and provides strength for his weakened body, but Blues had already accepted his death and doesn’t take having his body tampered with super well and ends up leaving home. Light creates generic support systems in the form of LRSS-001 and 002, proving the non-weaponized potential that the support system has, where his twin children Rock and Roll happily volunteer to demonstrate them with great success. Light then deploys LRSS-003 to 008 with handpicked candidates, qualified university graduates and trade employees, for use in scientific and industrial fields.

Wily shows up some years later and declares war on the world with his own version of the robotic support system, and a handful of 20-somethings that he’s coerced/bribed/blackmailed into piloting them, calling them “Bion Masters”. The suits are ridiculously powerful and there are far less military resources out there than in modern day due to the general state of peace in the world, so nothing can stop them. Rock and Roll both volunteer themselves to fight against Wily, but Light can’t bear to let either of them face danger after nearly losing Blues. Though Light’s Bion Masters try their best to fight back, they don’t have the same weaponized capabilities that Wily’s do and are slowly defeated and abducted one by one, each disappearance further weighing on Light’s conscience.

The most egregious act comes when Wily and Shadow Man break into the Light residence and kidnap Rock and Roll and their support systems, absolutely shattering Light’s will to fight back. Before he vanishes, Rock tells his father that he can’t give up here and urges him to resist Wily for everyone’s sake.

Light makes the difficult decision to weaponize the second series of support systems he’s been developing and seek out people who have enough courage to take on Wily’s forces. He finds the first seven users relatively quickly, but the last support system, 016, has so much dangerous potential that Light hesitates to find a user for it…

LRSS-011 “Splash Woman”

The support system was designed for performing spacewalks and maintenance on space stations and satellites. In battle, they’re highly mobile and can hit devastatingly hard, but are themself fragile. Black Hole Bomb can suck up pretty much anything that isn’t tied down or attached to the ground, so it can destroy huge groups of enemies at once.

RED type units are the most commonly manifactured units. They can be human, cyborg or robot. Every one of them is equipped with a laser pistol and an electric baton, but it is possible to change weapons depending on the task given.

Due to the large amount of RED units we have provided a hierarchy, the units with 9 dots being highest in command, and 1 dot being the lowest.

The back of their armor provides 2 attachments that can be used for ammo, medkits or batteries.

RED type units can be used in any situation but are mainly used for patrolling. Nice of them to provide weak spots. Shoot the glowing bits. Try not to kill the humans.

He’s also got stick and pokes of, on the inside of his left and right forearms, respectively: the constellation Orion, with special emphasis on Mintaka, the first star in the "belt" to rise and set, on the left, and on the right, Cassiopeia, the Little Dipper, and the Big Dipper, with the North Star emphasized between. Done by his dad when he was a kid to help him remember how to navigate by the stars (all of these constellations being useful landmarks). Pierced right ear. Never wears anything in it on duty.

[Dying Breed] was effectively recruited in the field by MTFC Anatoly Kuryakov, then in command of MTF Delta-14. The Task Force encountered [Dying Breed], then a Private First Class stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, while in pursuit of SCP-121959-1; following an initial interrogation, MTFC Kuryakov employed him as a guide. Impressed by his skills and steadiness, Kuryakov not only neglected to administer any amnestic once SCP-121959-1 was secured, but returned to Site-31 with [Dying Breed] in tow, ready to apply. 

Enlisted at only nineteen, [Dying Breed] was cleared for fieldwork by twenty-one after rotations in Security, Parazoology, and Tactical Theology. The record and reputation he has established since is marked by contrasts. He’s exceptionally effective in achieving objectives; like his recruiter, he’s also known to achieve this by bending protocol and sidewinding around orders, and to justify his borderline insubordination without remorse. He has served the Foundation’s purpose to the utmost of his ability and at great personal cost, but actively refuses (and, arguably, sabotages) opportunities for more prestigious promotions. He’s intensely loyal to the few fellow operatives who earn his trust - such as [Elevator Music], with whom he has maintained close contact despite a brief marriage and briefer divorce - but largely keeps to himself, detached and impersonal. It is generally believed that [Dying Breed] is only more disciplined than decorated because of the enemies he’s made throughout his long, tumultuous career. Regular personnel interviews determined that this did not disturb him in the slightest, and that he intended to continue serving until such a point as he was deemed inarguably unfit to do so.

As such, his request for an extended leave of absence was a surprise, even considering the circumstances. The events involved in the Foundation’s encounter with SCP-192001-1, unclear as they remain, are detailed elsewhere. For the purposes of this file, we highlight the following aspects: the alleged violent breakdown of [Live Wire]’s cognitohazard resistance, the alleged friendly-fire wounding of Senior Researcher Tom Dalton, inconsistent eyewitness and medical reports of [Dying Breed]’s own injuries, and [Dying Breed]’s response to descriptions of [Live Wire]’s conduct. [Dying Breed] has never requested extended leave prior to this incident; however, he has also never lost a colleague as close as Senior Researcher Tom Dalton.

Upon emerging from a medically induced coma administered by [Elevator Music], [Dying Breed] completed extended debriefing, a disciplinary hearing re: the unauthorized decommission of SCP-192001-1, and an application for leave, to begin immediately. All three were resolved to the satisfaction of the Foundation. His last known location, prior to his timely return for post-leave assessment, was Fairbanks International Airport, Alaska. Routine attempts to monitor his movements between 18/12/2022 and 24/01/2024 proved largely unsuccessful; his activities during this time remain of special interest, as do any medical reports, interpersonal complaints, and/or other assessments in relation to this operative.

Any characters who've been around the place that long, especially if they were at all involved with MTFs Delta-14, Gamma-4 or Xi-13, could have run into him and that could've gone... however it did! Up for anything, here - positive, negative, long-term or one-time-only. How did they leave whatever it was they had going on, dynamic wise? How's it feel, to be face to face again on a new Mobile Task Force, and such a fraught one, at that? Stop. Stop It. Unlikely friend. Whoever this is, for one reason or another, they've decided they've got a bone to pick with the old dog. What that means is up to you - well-intentioned badgering, mutual friction that just won't quit, some hierarchical crap, anything that strikes your fancy! Whatever their reason or tactics, he'll weather it with that weird motherfucking zen of his, which could easily be mistaken for tolerance, fondness, dismissal, or something else it's probably not. But might be. Who knows? Maybe not even him. Don't ask. Team Spirit. Fellow antisocial bastard OR pain in the ass. Guin is, usually, a functional loner; he works with a team more than within one, and this tends to get stood for by superiors given the nature of his skills and usual role. But MTF Chi-00 isn't likely to leave him the same degree of license. Open to characters who are similarly not into that OR a total keener for the whole team bonding... thing. Hoo Hoo, Motherfucker. A fellow night owl, mutually putting up with something like company. Isn't this nice? Not really talking. In the near-total dark. Several yards apart. Fantastic. It'd be a real shame if somebody ruined this by saying some weird shit about how the last job went. Yeah, better not. The Unkickable Puppy. What am I saying - he'd never kick a dog. A Clear Winter Day

For days the sky was grey, and the sun was nowhere to be seen. Instead, it was snowing, an unusually large amount of snow compared to recent years. Today finally blue skies and sunshine. A perfect day. And the best thing is that up until now the snow cover was perfect. No one had left any tracks, not even an animal.

073 had already completed its daily mindset training and physical training. Unusually, the Hive had no new tasks ready for him yet. Unusually because normally everything in the hive was optimally synchronized. There weren't really any idle times like now.

The drones gaze fell outside. It saw this perfect landscape. A rhetorical question flashed through its mind. Wasn't this winter landscape a symbolic image of the Hive? The perfection, this unity (of nature), and the peacefulness that the landscape radiated. All characteristics that it also knew from the Hive.

073 quickly decided that after the training sessions it would treat itself to a special reward: a lap through this perfect winter dream. It was quickly outside; the cold didn't bother it. Its perfectly shiny polo shirt, matching trousers and shoes kept it warm enough. It paused for a moment and saw the old wooden sledge. Inexplicable to everyone, and even more so to the drone, who was so conscientious about its mindset and reprogramming courses, but it was true! For a brief moment, a memory from childhood flashed through 073's head. It had had a sledge just like that when it was a child. The drone took a deep breath; a sigh broke out. And at the same time, it noticed the clarity of the air that had entered its lungs. Clarity - another characteristic of the hive. Now it knew why there were no tasks waiting for it, why the sledge was there, and why it had this flash of memory. Only through all this did it take a deep breath and sigh, and only then did 073 become aware of the further metaphor of the winter day. The Polo Drone Unit felt completely safe and balanced. Resting in itself, 073 went on a sleigh ride through the winter landscape. It used the sleigh as a place to sit and take in the perfect landscape. It was pure meditation, another – but unusual – exercise to become the perfect drone.

NOTES.

Born the Crown Princess of Xebel, a prison-kingdom known for active rebellion against Atlantis, it was banished to another dimension long before Mera was born. The people of Xebel are scavengers as a result ( it helps that the ‘bridge’ to this dimension lands in the Indian Ocean, whose warm waters have caused a lot of wrecks over the years ). 

Sticking with movie canon, Atlantis is on a more feudalistic set-up

Mera’s betrothal to the next King of Atlantis ( Orm ) had been set before her birth. This was an effort to alleviate tension / build a pathway back towards Xebel reclaiming some glory.

Her mother died shortly after childbirth, Mera was thus raised by her father with help from his chief taskmaster, Leron and her grandmother Lammia.

Luck of the draw would leave her, the elder of the twins, tasked with winning over a kingdom inclined to look at her as a Princess of Garbage while her own domain began to mistrust her for spending her time in Atlantis. While following the traditional route in studying the power of hydrokinesis, Mera would also frequent the kingdom she was set to rule. 

She was able to build a close relationship with Atlanna in this time, one of the few who ever accept Mera completely. And it is through this, as well, that her subsequent banishment became a defining moment in Mera’s life. 

Her training as a warrior came to head at her coming of age, to prove herself worthy of being a queen. Tasked with killing the only other claim to the throne, she was sent to the surface. 

It. Did. Not. Go. As. Planned. 

A confusing series of dates later, Mera began to soften to the cause of the surface world and become more disillusioned to her place among her own, while encouraging the rightful heir to accept his place in both. Mera became a key advisor, and eventually was unburdened with the task of marriage by way of diplomacy. 

Her placement in destroying the reign of a true Atlantean didn’t win her many friends in a kingdom whose nobles barely accept her, but she made due. 

( And would you look at that, she ended up marrying a King of Atlantis after all, regardless. )

After two back to back wars defending Atlantis, Mera was coronated to begin a long reign of monarchy on equal footing, something the kingdom had rarely seen. 

Though she does split her time between Atlantis and the surface, her priority is typically her kingdom. Mera takes her duty as a queen extremely seriously. 

She joined the Justice League not long after Arthur, having proven her loyalty to the safety of the world as opposed to being a figurehead for the wills of the elite in her own. 

As such, her identity is not publicly known ( disdain for being labelled as a mermaid abound ) and her stance on the Accords is to be in direct contradiction. Atlantis’ status as relatively unknown allows for certain anonymity while operating in these efforts.

MBTI : estj.  Hobbies : killin’....... she also loves loves loves the beach and collecting seashells? it’s dumb but she loves them. she really really loves them. she ends up losing them almost immediately but like. it keeps her going sometimes. she also likes forging her own weapons and armor! learning about things like that.  Bad Habits : she tends to just put her weapon (typically dirty ya know) anywhere with little regard for where that somewhere is, she will just take off her boots and let her feet stink up the place, she is kind of rude and does not have a lot of basic table manners. sif’s personality is one bad habit.  Three Positive Traits : she has fun w her work!
