I could not decide what to share with you all ... setting seams, using a stiletto, not worrying about perfection, doing you - all fantastic tips but ones you've probably been seeing all day. I'll share with a little secret on how I get unique quilts. Whenever I buy a line of fabric ... no matter how much I love it as a group ... I wrap it up individually on @polarnotions boards and put it in my stash by color. Always by color - never by line. If there are fabrics that read the same color I try to mix them into my stash apart from each other. Now - when I'm picking fabrics for a project I have to put them together - not a designer - me. I never realized until I started putting my quilts into shows just how odd my color/pattern/texture combinations are ... they are unique and choosing my own fabrics is one of my favorite parts of quilting. #freerangequilter #uniquequilts
