i wanna rant about '87 krang so. here we gooooo i guess. i think '87 krang's backstory is actually incredibly interesting like??? how did he lose his previous body? (personally, i like to think that he did something wrong one day and was forcibly turned into the brain creature he is now and banished by his own kind. but hey that's just me) does his miss his old body?? can he devise a way to return to his old body or is it impossible? does his miss home? how complicated are his feelings towards his own species? yeah i know it was an 80s cartoon for kids and they didn't really have time to get into some characters backstories but it's still really interesting!!! YOU COULD DO SOME COOL CHARACTER STUFF WITH THIS!!!!!!! anyway. sorry for going off about krang in your inbox. i'm insane about shredder & krang

#87!Ahredder and 87!Krang fans always make me so excited I love seeing those two get love#like YESSS treat them like the main characters they are#but yeah you’re right there is a lot to be done with Krang#like?? yeah! he lost his body! 87 really pulled a fast one there he’s very unique#in my crossover fic I chose to go with the 2012 backstory but I would really like to explore his canon one one day#I think Krang as a character is very ‘moving forward focus on the future’ type#I think yes he probably deeply misses his dimension and body but he’s decided to throw himself into his work#he’s going to conquer the /universe/ (and put the show into reruns) he doesn’t) have time to dwell#which is a nice contrast to how Shredder can never seem to let go of the past#Krang wants to build something of himself whether that’s by taking over the world or getting back his body doesn’t matter#meanwhile yeah Shredder’s all grudge and revenge driven I’ve lost track of my thought i just think they’re neat

Was just reminded something about RID15. A couple of the only things I like about it is the majority of Decepticons and a select few Autobots being animal-based, and the multiple implications and references to different environment biomes and possible fauna/plantlife that could be on Cybertron

how do people make art without being sad all the time
#yes i know that many artists & musicians are in fact sad all the time but for those who aren’t#HOW?#like if i want any aspect of my lived experience to be reflected in the art i make i just end up sad#i feel like it has to take a level of compartmentalization#cause otherwise how can u be pouring ur heart into lyrics or poetry or an art piece & then just go about ur day live laugh loving#or maybe some people find the catharsis of expressing their emotions creatively to be good for them#me personally i am the opposite. if i dwell on things that make me emotional for too long it makes me feel way worse#i think maybe i would do better writing about fictional things or situations that don’t involve me#besides it’s not like my own life & emotions are uniquely interesting either LOL

#this post brought to you by a conversation with my touring musician partner#he tours the us with a relatively well known bluegrass band and they rely a lot on airplanes#travel has been making some of his friends miss entire gigs#so we were thinking about how to feasibly tour and make money and see family and not rely on airplanes and airport laborers#also talking about where to try and buy land at some point and the ethics of that vs trying to convince my parents to leave me their house#it’s in a really unique spot wrt local government and I am finding myself becoming involved in local politics about ADUs#and if I want to be able to one day turn this block into a commune I would like the right to build one!#but our conservative HOA has locked in on me as an ally in their fight against Additional Dwelling Units bc I am pushing for the environment#and someone brought up that the neighborhood is an old growth forest at the last meeting apparently!#anyways!! point is- it’s all fun and games to talk politics and Taylor but at the end of the day you can girl blog and not have that#reflect on your actual lived values and actions#plus! there’s definitely something worth while about using gossip as a way to understand what your values are!#me and my partner (a folk musician dedicated to labor movements through his working class ancestors/family) have talked a lot about Taylor#bc it’s fun! and she’s someone in his field! but also we can fine tune our beliefs about touring ethics by studying the worlds biggest tour#it’s fascinating!#c#Sam spam#hiding this deep in tags bc I’m scared:#let’s not eat Taylor when the time comes but maybe she can redistribute her land and properties to feed and house the homeless?#and pay climate reparations to families living within 1 mile of airports she uses#read something horrifying about lead in jet fuel and low income homes near airports….
