1. Better Days (2019) - i like it because there is something wrong with me. also noticing a pattern where i like fucked up sad people in fucked up sad situations finding comfort in eachother :')

2. The Hater (2020) - this is one of those movies i watched went 'yeah ok' but the more i thought about it later the more it haunts me. i just feel like it does a great job of showing political hypocrisy and media manipulation through most unhinged shit you've ever seen. yeah.

3. The Dark (2018) - obsessed with concept of regaining humanity through kindness.

4. Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (2007) - i haven't been normal since i watched this. like i turned this franchise into a personality trait. you think it's giant robots fighting but it's actually mento illwness, daddy issues, existential crisis and repressed trauma. it's both the worst and best thing i ever saw. girls that get it get it.

5. Night Flight (2014) - listen i could actually talk about this one for days. probably the only movie i remember every now and then and i keep thinking about it. the last scene lives in my head rent free. like i said love sad fucked up people. too bad only 3.5 people know about this movie and they are all my friends because i bullied them into watching it.

6. Jongens (2014) - this was my heartstopper lmao </3 including it mostly due nostalgia and because sometimes when i'm sad i still put it on.

7. Warm Bodies (2013) - same as the dark it does the whole monsters to humans because of love. funny. also zombies.

8. Parasite (2019) - not just social commentary. the way it's told. added humor and absolute tragedy of it all in the end. 1000/10.

9. Napola Before the Fall (2004) - don't ask.
