☆ pairing(s): idol minji x idol reader

with the endless rumors in the kpop industry, being in a secret relationship was hard. especially when your girlfriend was y/n.
the way y/n presents herself has caused many misunderstandings as the girl is just a touchy person in general. y/n typically uses physical touch to show she’s comfortable with a person but fans don’t seem to understand that, unfortunately.
minji didn’t exactly know how to feel, her girlfriend being trending nearly every week with a new dating scandal.
“are txts beomgyu and lesserafims y/n dating?”
“are these two groupmates dating? lesserafim’s yunjin and y/n seen holding hands on their way to the market”
basically y/n was rumored to be with everyone, everyone but minji. the latter had noticed this rolling her eyes as she scrolled through her socials, currently laying down with y/n.
y/n could only giggle at her girlfriends expression as she read through all the people y/n had been rumored to be with.
“they’re always so far off.” y/n says to which minji nods.
“closest they’ve gotten is hanni.” minji sighs relaxing in her bed, y/n clinging to her.
“how’d they even get hanni? we barely interact publicly.” y/n questions receiving a shrug from minji.
“i’ll wait patiently for the day our names pop up together in a tweet from dispatch.” minji says.
“what’re you gonna do?” y/n asks.
“i’m gonna confirm our relationship.” minji says confidently.
“mhm.. like our company would let you do that.” y/n says.
“don’t get fired please, i need someone’s dorm to sneak into at night.” y/n whines.
“you can just go to hannis.” minji says sarcastically.
“minji,” y/n starts giggling. “i promise i’ll always be yours.”
“you pinky promise?” minji asks holding out her pinky for y/n to grab.
“yes i pinky promise.” y/n says interlocking their pinkies.
“no matter how hard life gets i won’t ever give up on you.”
🎬: Y/N AND MINJI SPOTTED
“how long does it take to get a bag of skittles..” y/n mumbles. minji most definitely wasn’t getting only skittles, the girl being in the store for fifteen minutes now.
y/n debated on going in, she knew if she did someone would probably spot her and minji walking out together. but she walked in the store anyways, looking for her girlfriend.
y/n soon found minji standing in the freezer isle, the girl wrapping her arms around her girlfriends waist and holding her.
“ji, what’re you looking for?” y/n asks noticing the way minji tensed up, the girl calming down once she heard y/n’s voice.
“i forgot hyein wanted me to get stuff for her.” minji says to which y/n nods.
“you know someone’s gonna see us once we leave right?”
“i know it’s the main reason i came in.”
🎬: Y/N CONFIRMS SHES IN A RELATIONSHIP?
“so y/n, do you have anyone special in your life right now?” the interviewer asks, receiving a look from chaewon immediately after.
y/n just dismisses the randomness of the question and answers, “yeah me and her are doing well.”
“her?”
“yep!” y/n says smiling widely.
minji who was watching the interview before she went to sleep couldn’t help but smile. she felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
she couldn’t ask for a better girl.
📖: HYBE CONFIRMS THE RELATIONSHIP OF NEWJEANS MINJI AND LESSERAFIM Y/N
only an hour ago, hybe released a statement regarding the arising rumors about minji and y/n which took kpop twitter by a storm. both ador and source music (the labels the two girls are under) backed this up as well, saying that the two girls are dating.
amazing day for us sapphic kpop stans! minji and y/n are finally able to talk about each other on lives and i can’t wait for their content.

The Boy From the Pacific Northwest (Part I) (A romance)
There are three men in this world who truly did a number on me. Their words sliced me into pieces. Their actions made me question romance forever. They buried me for a long time. One was a monster, another, a byproduct of his environment. The last one is recent. I don’t know when, or if, I’ll ever talk about him. So we’ll start with the ladder, because although he isn’t on my radar anymore, I don't think I ever truly dove into the complexities that were our whirlwind romance. I don’t think I ever talked about him, in words or on paper. He was there, and then he was not. He left a hole in my heart that was eventually filled with other magical things.
We’ll call him A.
I met A online. Yes, I know; dangerous. Reckless. Stupid. But that is what community does, specifically roleplaying communities where we all expose our rib cages and bones to strangers online anonymously. We tear away the flesh to reveal our deepest wants, our most fervent ideas, and our authentic selves without the restrictions of names or identities. That’s the beauty of these communities; we grow to love each other for the soul on the inside, knowing very little about each other in the real world. And A and I grew very close in a very short amount of time.
Unfortunately, A was a rebound, and he knew it. I think he took full advantage of my emotional vulnerability from another man, but I was twenty-two years old. I was aching. I needed release, and I didn’t find that release in sex. I found it in other forms of intimacy.
Writing.
And A, he was a beautiful author. He crafted stories exquisitely. Through one circumstance or another, he and I became the leaders (AKA: “The Dungeon Masters”) of a large online community of over eighty people. We were burdened, together, with the responsibility of crafting deep, complex stories about war, loss, love, friendship, loyalty, pirates, and all of that in-between. The role was thrusted on me. He volunteered to help, and was eager to share that burden.
Our late-night idea sessions went from text to phone calls. Then to FaceTimes. We learned about each other, and although I had never met him before in-person, he became my closest confidant. I’d call him when I argued with a coworker. He’d call me when his professors at the university assigned him a tedious paper. We learned more and more about each other until our phone calls became less about the stories we were writing, and more about who we were as people.
Authentic.
Survival.
Infestation, really.
Because we never, ever left each other alone.
So who was this A? And why did he, younger than I, change me so deeply?
He came from the rain-soaked city of Seattle. He was as reckless as the waves of the Pacific ocean. He had ambitious, deep-blue eyes that danced like flickering flames at every challenge and every opportunity. Youth flowed through his veins; I was only three years older than him, already a junior in college, but he never truly grew up. At nineteen, he embraced childlike wonder (and brashness) like an expensive cologne. And unfortunately, A never knew the meaning of “wrong”; entitlement was bred into his blood. He was a byproduct of privilege and money, and what money could buy someone.
A knew I was poor. He knew I grew up on food stamps, knew most of my clothes were hand-me-downs from antique stores and thrift shops, knew that I had to fund many of the bills for the home while my mother was sick. He claims it didn’t bother him. However, it bothered me.
Because A was an example of everything I wanted and never had; a nuclear family, two loving parents who still loved each other, a healthy relationship with his siblings, parents who paid for his tuition, didn’t have to work for his bills, and was allotted freedom to explore his identity. Meanwhile, I was attending full-time classes, working late hours, paying for the electricity, water, and gas for my home, taking my mother in and out of rehab, and trying, scraping by to find time to write poetry. I usually only had the time on the bus, the bumpy road evidence in my scribbled lines.
It wasn’t A’s fault that my life was in shambles. He was merely a reminder of how defeated I truly was. Because his family’s money cushioned him from any real hardships. His parents created a barrier between him and the suffering of the common people. To him, love and consequence were a fleeting concept.
But, he was handsome.
And I was lonely.
So I embraced the riddle that was our romance whole-heartedly.
A knew I wanted to experience Seattle, so he and his family invited me up there again.
And again.
And again.
Seattle. California. Spas. Theme parks. Museums. University tours. Poetry slams. Beach visits. Fancy hotels. Nice cars.
All expenses paid for vacations to the Pacific Northwest. All I had to do was smile pretty at dinners, drink the expensive wine his mother poured me, and climb between the sheets with him at night. It was something I desperately desired because for the first time in my life, I was getting a taste of many of the things I felt I had missed out on. My mother was suffering at home, but for once, I was 1500 miles away; I could avoid her wrath as she spat obscenities at me in the middle of the night in a drunken fit. I could pull on a raincoat and let A take me to the city. I could experience the true Pacific Northwest dream.
Or so I thought.

Everything Happens For a Reason
Warnings: 18+, smut, Cheating/mentions of cheating, “revenge” sex, arguing, dealings of breaking up, ex-partner being shitty, dom themes, hair pulling, dumbification, degradation, feelings of worthlessness, Thor being an asshole, Loki being an asshole sexually, sensual themes, some angst, some softness but mostly tough love vibes, this will take place around the time of Ragnarok for visual reference, kinda domestic but not really
a/n: This is my first time writing for marvel characters! I previously was writing for mha, which I still do if you’re interested. Apologies to the Thor lovers, he’s an ass in this. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it and that I do a good job of representing characters that we all enjoy. :)
Word count: 6.7k
Main: Loki x female!Reader Ex: Thor x female!Reader
You were on your way back home after ending a grueling shift at work. Everything around you left you in a sensory overload. The sound of your feet pattering on the sidewalk, the aggressive car horns of New York’s taxis, conversations you passed by all created a stinging buzz that roared in your head. Finally reaching the station, you walked down a flight of stairs, the horrific New York air filling your nose. A stench that made you feel at home but somehow could never get used to. Sighing you thought to yourself.
I just wanna get home.
The idea of having to mush yourself into the train in desperate hopes of not only being able to find a seat but to not be bombarded with the evening nonsense made the buzz in your head turn into an unfortunate headache. Waiting for the train to rush through the tunnel, you grabbed your phone and frowned, seeing that your boyfriend had yet to answer the text you sent earlier. He said he was free from any heroic duties for the next month so it was peculiar to not hear from him. You began to grow worried.
Picking at your nails, you were thinking about all the possible “what ifs” that could have happened with Thor. You guys had been dating for some time now, almost two years. It had become common to be met with all the craziness that his job title of hero held. Truly anything could happen. So, of course, your brain was constructing all of the terrible things that could’ve possibly happened with him.
You couldn’t fuss about it too long, the train came bustling through the tunnel, the air from up underneath it blasting you in the face with the trademarked scent of burnt rubber tires and gasoline smoke. You trudged your way into the train, squeezing your way to a spot closest to the door so you could make your way out quickly. Holding on to the railing beside you, you popped your AirPods in and dissociated. Trying your best to drown out the noise and the perpetual thoughts of what was going on with your boyfriend. You couldn’t help the aggressiveness of your worries so you pulled out your phone and gave Thor’s phone a ring.
You waited, and waited, and waited and the line went to voicemail. Your mind was running a mile a minute. It felt like you couldn’t breathe. You tried composing yourself, you were almost at your stop. When the PA system announced your stop, you rushed through the automatic doors and ran to your apartment. The sky, now overcast, and the slight smell of rain tainting the air, only adding to the tension. Running up the outside set of stairs, you headed to the elevator preparing yourself for the worst. Once the elevator dinged, you rushed down the hallway to your apartment.
Fumbling with your keys at the door, you began to hear a slew of moans. Stopping in your tracks, you moved your head closer to the door to make sure that you were hearing the moans slip from the other side of your apartment door. Placing your ear against the door your suspicions were confirmed with a groan that seemed to billow from none other than Thor’s throat. Your heart began to shatter and become blanketed with the bitterness of winter, you slowly turned the key into your apartment.
Conscious of your steps you tried your best to not cause creaks to squeak from the floorboards. The air wreaked of sex and was starting to become seasoned with rotten jealousy. Turning the corner to head down to your shared bedroom, you were acquainted with Thor pile driving into your best friend.
She caught you in the doorway and to your dismay, she called out
“Y/N! Oh my god. Thor stop!”
With the mention of your name, Thor whipped his head around but you were already making your way towards the front door. He threw on his pants that were thrown on the floor and rushed his way over to you.
“Y/N!”
You turned around with a quickness and landed your hand right across his cheek. Leaving him with a scarlet mark to brand his betrayal upon him. You looked up at him through your eyebrows because you didn't have the strength to look at him in the eyes for the tears that were welling up would threaten to spill over.
“Thor...why don’t you go finish your business with her. Since clearly, she’s the priority.”
“Y/N, it’s not what you think it is. She brought herself upon me.”
“Oh! And you just couldn’t resist right. Cause she was just so overbearing against yourself?”
His silence solidified your suspicions and you wanted nothing more than to just get out of that apartment. Not waiting for him to come up with another response you grabbed your bag that you dropped on the floor and turned on your heel to leave.
“And when you release yourself of whatever leftovers you’re straining to hold, I want you to get your shit and leave. There’s nothing here to be salvaged and honestly, the last thing I wanna do is attempt to fix this.”
You slammed your apartment door and took the stair exit, not wanting to chance to have to confront him again while waiting for the elevator. Coming up on the last flight of stairs you held yourself up against the railing and felt the emotion in your throat bubble up and release itself.
It hurt. A strangled whine erupted from your throat and you hid your face in your hands. Hoping that it would muffle your cries enough so that no one would hear you in the stairwell. All of your insecurities began to settle in and resurface. Why weren’t you good enough for him? What made your best friend better? It's not like she was otherworldly or something. You could maybe understand if it was Valkyrie, but this was some regular bitch. This was someone you knew and felt undeniably close with. It felt sour, like residual vomit on the tongue.
You pushed yourself up from the stairs and slowly walked to the main door of your building. You were brought out of your haze with cold droplets of water that began to roll down your face.
“This is just comedic now.”
You laughed to yourself. Not only did you just spoil your eyes by seeing your now ex-boyfriend inside of your best friend but now you're stuck out in the exordium of New York rain with no real place to settle. Not at least until Thor packed his things and left. You put your bag over your head and searched for the nearest station to just catch a ride on. Walking down the steps, you again waited in the queue for the next train. Leaning on the wall you were suddenly overwhelmed with the stench of your wet outside clothes and wanted nothing more than to curl up and go to sleep.
With the roar of the train coming through the tunnel, you got on. Unaware of where you were going just desperately wanting to get away from the drama currently suffocating your mind. Trying to forget about the world around you, were brought back into reality by the buzzing of your phone in your pocket.
Of course, you had a list of missed calls from Thor as well as your best friend. Lists of texts from Thor, but the notification that stood out the most was a text message from Loki. It was unlikely for you to hear from him and coupled with today’s events it felt like salt being rubbed in a wound.
It can’t get any worse, honestly. Just open it. Fuck it.
Going against your brain and entrusting your gut, you opened his message.
Would you happen to be in the Manhattan area?
You looked up at the sign above the train doors, flashing the streets of the next stop. Luckily for you, you were getting ready to be dropped off right in the heart of Manhattan. Sighing you swallowed the lump in your throat and straightened your shoulders. Replacing your previous weight of mourning with now a sudden spark of pride and revenge running through your veins.
Yeah, I’m actually on my way there now, why?
You rolled your head back and bounced your leg, sudden nervousness striking your body. You didn’t fear Loki, it was nothing like that. But rather you were intimidated by him. His presence demanded attention and you were one to give it to him. You couldn’t deny that he was incredibly handsome. Despite his condescending nature, you found him all too alluring. Yet, here you were awaiting a response from him to come through.
Interested in some company while visiting your planet for personal business. Care to be that company?
Your heart started to thump behind its ribcage, beating a rhythm that you hadn’t been familiar with. You were excited. Quickly you typed back, not wanting to wait too long.
Sounds like a plan. The train is getting ready to stop, probably will be in central Manhattan in about 10. Where should I meet you?
I’ll be waiting outside the Baccarat.
The train doors dinged and you rose from your seat and maneuvered your way through the 5th Avenue-53 St. station. Climbing the stairs, you were met with the unfortunate luck of it still raining and now with nightfall completely draped over the sky, you were beginning to regret accepting the invitation of meeting Loki. Looking ahead you noticed a store on the corner. You bolted in there, desperate to find something to change your soaking top out for. You walked in and saw yourself in the mirror. Your hair was still okay somehow, not too damaged by the wetness in the air. Just a tad more frizz. Fluffing your hair, you walked away from the mirror and searched for the men's section.
Wanting an oversized hoodie you felt you had your best chance to find what you wanted there. Coming across a graphic hoodie, you pulled it off the rack and walked to the checkout.
You got into a fitting room before you left, taking off your soaked shirt and now bra, and slipped into the hoodie. Stuffing your hair under the hood, you placed your clothes into your bag, sprayed some perfume on, and walked back outside to head to the hotel. The rain had let up some but you weren’t trying to risk it considering today had been littered with bad luck. You quickly walked up the street and finally made it out to the front of the hotel.
You went to pull out your phone from your pocket, but when you did you were tapped on the shoulder. You whipped your head around, an instant attitude flooding your body. You were about to mouth off until you looked up and realized it was Loki who had grabbed your attention.
“Tense, are we?”
You rolled your eyes, wondering why you showed up. His tone worming through your ear and rattling your brain with contempt. He seemed to be a bitter reminder of his brother and you questioned why you thought this was a good idea. Looking up towards his face, you remembered why you came. His features, absolutely tantalizing, and the cadence of his speech almost always put you in a trance. The suit he was in only added to your inner desire. This was a moment of revenge, a moment of sheer pride that you needed to take advantage of. Finally, you opened your mouth and looked up at him.
“A little, the day has been quite rough, but I don’t think you’d want to hear about all that.”
You looked toward the entrance of the hotel silently wondering why you two were still waiting outside.
“Shall we go in? Standing in the rain like this is quite puerile.”
You looked up at him incredulously,
“I swear you can read minds.”
You both shared a chuckle while he guided you in the hotel, his hand resting upon your lower back. Once you were in, you were struck in awe of the decor of the building you were in. It’s not that you had never been anywhere nice before but compared to your day-to-day lifestyle this was something very unexpected. You soaked it all in, not wanting to ever leave the luxury.
“Y/N? You in there?”
You finally came to and gingerly shook your head to settle back in your body realizing you were now standing in front of the elevators.
“Yeah, I just got distracted, my bad.”
The door dinged and you two stepped into the elevator. He pressed the last set of numbers on the pad and you waited to be dropped on the floor of what you assumed where his room was. Your stomach dropped when the elevator arrived on the floor, almost adding to the anxiety you were feeling being so close to Loki. Walking down the hallway you reached his room and he pulled out his room key. Wanting to cut through the silence you broke the ice by asking Loki a question.
“So what are you doing back on Earth? Here to cause some trouble or just for leisure.”
“Leisure, more or less. I came back for my brother but he has yet to inform me of his whereabouts.”
Dropping your bag down at the door you felt your body become heavy. Like someone had just dumped an anvil on your shoulders and expected you to be fully prepared. It stung. You couldn’t escape the sour taste that lingered from the day's earlier events. You sat down on the bed and had become unusually short. You had spit back at Loki.
“Yeah, he failed to let me know as well. Had to stumble in on him.”
“What do you mean “stumble in on him”? Where was he?”
Expelling air, you puffed out your cheeks slightly. Silently expressing your disdain for the question asked. You suddenly became aware of your hair still being tucked under your hood when you went to trail your hands across the top of your head. Removing the hood and fluffing your hair, you stood and walked up to the mirror to fix yourself before sighing again. Tears of frustration began to well in the corners of your eyes. You pursed your lips into a tight pucker and had to look up toward the ceiling to prevent them from spilling.
“I’d prefer to skip over the antics, darling-”
“-Your wonderful brother was fucking somebody I was once close with, but now that relationship is undoubtedly severed, and quite honestly thinking about the event makes me want to cry and vomit.”
You finally let your voice shake and a fat tear rolled down the left side of your cheek. Hot and stinging your lash line before it fell. Exhaling more air, you shook your hands in a feeble attempt to calm yourself down. You heard the springs of the bed squeak as Loki situated himself on the bed.
“No one ever listens to me about that brute. He may be my brother but he lacks the capacity of decent intelligence.”
Turning around to face Loki, your eyebrows furrowed wondering how in the hell you thought sitting in a room with the smuggest piece of shit to ever exist would be a good idea after being cheated on by none other than his brother. Sniffling you brought yourself together and smiled at him.
“You know, for someone to be baggin on someone else about decent intelligence, you sure are lacking in the emotional department.”
“Never said I was perfect sweetheart, just alluded to being better.”
You laughed. You had to. It was all too much to bear. Your ex-boyfriend sleeping with your ex-best friend and now you’re stuck in a hotel room with his shit-eating brother. You wanted to peel off your skin and remove your brain from its confinements. You needed to leave, you could find somewhere else to loiter around until tomorrow.
“Ya know, I’m still trying to figure out why I thought having you for some company would be a good idea. Think I’m gonna leave you and your better than average intelligence to fuck off together.”
You couldn’t even look at Loki because inside you didn’t really wanna walk away. You were just projecting because all day everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It felt like your legs and heart were going to buckle at any moment and it was becoming too much to lug around silently. You wanted to scream for hours on end. Walking towards the door, you picked up your bag. Too engrossed in your thoughts to hear the bed creek signaling Loki’s movement.
“Y/N, wait.”
Loki grabbed your wrist and your heart stopped beating for a moment, almost forgetting what it was you were upset about because you had someone else’s warmth heating your tainted soul. You looked up at Loki, creases in between your eyebrows beginning to form from you trying to hold back the tears that were welling up once again.
“What? Look, Loki. I don’t want to be the downer of the evening and I’ve surely already done that. The last thing I want to do is burden you fully with what’s going on. I’m not gonna dump it all on you.”
“Will you sit down, please. Don’t leave.”
Sighing you dropped your bag and flopped onto the bed. Leaning over and burying your face in your hands.
“Let me apologize. I was not thinking about the severity of what you were dealing with, that was foolish of me.”
He sat next to you on the bed and once again placed his hand on your back but this time it was rubbing back and forth. An action that seemed to calm you down instantly. Taking a deep breath you looked at him and couldn't help but feel an overwhelming amount of lust pool in the pit of your stomach. It felt wrong but, so right. You hoped he wasn't looking too deep into your eyes because you could almost predict how blown your pupils must’ve looked.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap and be so dramatic.”
Loki chuckled to himself, a small smile dancing across his face as he unbuttoned his suit jacket and laid it on the bed.
“No need for an apology, I was being insensitive. As for your dramatics, I’ve grown used to them.”
Your face folded and your lips pursed, annoyance clear on your face.
“Yeah, you would be used to dramatics, Mr. “I need to rule over Earth cause I can’t back home.”.”
Your eyes lidded, you had your lips rolled around your teeth trying your best to hold a snicker in.
“You Midgardians never know how to let things go, do you?”
“Well considering you were demolishing half of New York with an alien army it’s kinda hard to forget....I forgive you though.”
“Do you now?” Loki raised his eyebrow smirking at your remark.
“Yup, kinda hard to stay mad at someone so easy on the eyes.”
It wasn’t until after you said your words, did you realize what just rolled off your tongue. Your eyes grew wide and heat rushed to your face. You breathed heavily out your nose and brought your gaze to his.
“Easy on the eyes huh?”
“I-” you couldn't even get any words out you were so embarrassed. All you could do was laugh to yourself and decide to be a little bit bold.
“There’s no reason for me to be shy about it. You’re obviously the more attractive one.”
Grazing your hand across his knee, you trailed your hand up to the meatier portion of his thigh.
“Are you planning on plowing through every Asgardian you meet?”
Mouth agape you couldn’t believe what he just said to you. But you realized quickly this was your time to go in and plant the seed.
“Not exactly. You’re the one I really want. Your brother just happened to fall in my lap first. It’s always been you though. Honestly, I was just too afraid to say anything. I couldn’t fathom the thought that you’d look my way.”
In the moment of your ramble, you hadn’t realized Loki rolling up his sleeves, using his nimble fingers to expose his veiny forearms. Once you had looked down you noticed his now exposed arms and your eyes met Loki’s again, the tension between you two becoming so thick it created a fog.
“Honestly, I have yet to meet someone as dense as you are. The verity of my liking for you I thought was terribly noticeable. Yet you still somehow ended up with my oaf of a brother. It’s quite amazing actually.”
You were astonished, to say the least. While Loki was sarcastic with you, he had confessed his liking for you. Not just an inkling for you but a liking for you in a romantic aspect. You were over the moon. You stood up not being able to contain your excitement. Walking towards the desk you stared in the mirror and composed yourself. Looking in the bottom right-hand side of the mirror you caught Loki’s blue eyes in the corner. He stood up and walked behind you, almost stalking you like a predator does prey.
“Why didn’t you say anything sooner?”
“Truly I thought you were happy darling, it wasn’t my business to interfere. Although, if I knew your deepest feelings sooner, I would’ve acted with more haste.”
Hearing “darling” come from his mouth so freely made butterflies fly hoops in your stomach. It did something to you that you had yet to describe outwardly. Turning around to face him, you hooked your fingers into the loops of his pants and pulled him closer to you, all so nonchalant.
“Shall we make up for lost time then, Loki?”
Lust dripped off your tongue when saying his name. Your tone penetrating through the fog of sexual tension and your eyes undressing him before the affair would begin. You heard his breath hitch while you looked back up at him, his blue eyes were now almost black. His breath heavy and waiting for the go-ahead to indulge in each other's desires. For a moment you saw his eyes flicker to portray something of uncertainty. Dare you say something of insecurity.
“Only if it’s true. I want you to want me in the purest form of carnal desire. Not as a pawn to veil what you want to erase from your mind.”
You moved your hands from his belt loops and traced your hands up his arms and planted them upon his neck, playing with the hair at the nape.
“ Don’t stop now, we’ve already started. I’m begging for you Loki. Always have, always will.”
With the quick reassurance, his lips found yours in a heartbeat. Intertwining with each other like flies in a spider’s web. It was intoxicating you couldn’t breathe properly and still you pressed yourself closer against his body. Your leg inching up on his side and grinding into his now hardening dick. Your hand that was resting at the nape of his neck, crawled its way into his hair and grabbed a fistful of it, fully giving into the moment of you and Loki getting lost in each other. Your fistful of his hair would soon be gone, being replaced with his hand buried in your mass of hair and craning your neck back to look up at him.
“I control things around here, Pet. Don’t forget your place.”
His voice seemed to drop in pitch. Your eyes glossed over fully with lust and the sheer need to be ruined. Dominance enveloped his being which instantly quelled the brat in you. The reality of sleeping with Loki made you dive headfirst into a subservient space. You wanted him, you needed him. In being completely lost in submissive thought you almost forgot who was in front of you. That was until he spoke again.
“Understand?”
He grabbed your hips and pressed your body against his, eliciting a slight whimper from you while nodding your head.
“Yes, Loki, I understand.”
Your voice was so meager, a complete 180 from your previous behavior in the night. You wanted as much of him as you could get so you shoved your lips against his again. A fiery kiss that made you dizzy and warm all at once. He moved with such fluidity, it made you feel like you were floating. His hands snaked down your back and his large hands landed on the cush platform of your ass. Squeezing, you moaned into his mouth and he picked you up. Turning around and laying you down on the bed. Your lips dislodged from one another and you felt empty and needy without him on you. He preyed over you, his stygian locks falling down his face.
“If you don’t want this, tell me now and we’ll never speak of this aga-”
“-Loki, there has been nothing I want more than you…I need you. Please.”
With that, Loki attacked your lips again, his hands wandering up your hoodie. You had forgotten you ditched your bra earlier until Loki’s hands found your pert nipples.
“Expecting this, weren’t you.”
You went to respond, but Loki rolled them between his fingers and a breathy moan was all you could muster up. Your hips rolled upwards, aching for some type of friction to your core that was more than soaked.
“Maybe I was. Have to be prepared for anything.”
To emphasize your tease you moved your hand down to the tent in his black pants and applied a bit of pressure. Loki sucked in air through his teeth and released a light laugh.
“Careful, Pet. Make sure you can hold up this front you’re putting on for me. Not sure you can handle it all.”
It was a challenge and a challenge you’d be more than happy to oblige in. Smirking up at him you began fiddling with his belt and undid his pants. Fishing your hand into them you lightly stroked his cock.
“Try me.”
The restraint in him broke and a sardonic smile adorned his face. You knew you were in for it and were entirely ready for everything he had to offer.
“Darling I hope you’re ready to feel what it’s like to be fucked by a real god.”
Your hoodie came off with one swift motion of his hand and they wandered over your body egregiously. He was taking his time with you and was determined on making you fall apart. You messed with his dress shirt buttons but couldn’t get them off fast enough for your liking. Catching onto your frustration Loki mocked you,
“Aw, look at you, Little one. Having some trouble there?”
You huffed, the attitude in you not wanting to fully give in just yet. You finally got the top button undone and slid your hand back down to his pants in a feeble attempt to take the heat off of you.
“Ah ah, it doesn’t work like that. Let me help you out since you’re in such need of relief.”
Finishing off the rest of his buttons, he pulled off his shirt and threw it somewhere in the room. Snaking his way down your body he undid your jeans button and peeled off the zipper with his teeth. Looking down at him you shuddered, excitement coursing through your veins.
“Easy now Y/N, I’ve barely even started.”
Removing your pants and underwear completely, you were now fully exposed to him and almost felt a bit of shyness envelop you. And of course, he noticed your legs attempt to cover yourself,
“Don’t hide from me darling, I want to see every bit of you crumble before me and show you how it feels to have your concupiscence satiated.”
You let your anxieties fade away once his tongue placed a swipe across your aching cunt. A moan louder than you expected emitted from your throat, catching you off guard and a chuckle to release from Loki. The vibrations only added to the pleasure you were already feeling. Losing yourself in the silver tongue of the god between your legs, your hand found itself in his stark black locks. Your moans became more frequent and you were beginning to feel the coil tighten in the bottom of your stomach, heat spreading to your core.
“Loki, please I-”
You hadn’t enough time to finish your sentence for Loki had wrapped his arms around your hips pulling you closer to him and making your back arch off the bed. Your moans becoming higher in pitch you could feel yourself coming to the precipice of your orgasm. Lifting his head for a moment he caught your eyes as you moved your head to look down at him.
“Cum for me Y/N, I can feel that you’re there.”
As Loki went back to devouring your pussy, you threw your head back into the pillow behind you, your orgasm finally washing over you. It was like none other you had before. Your legs caved in around his head and your body began to shake. Coming down from your high you reached for his neck to guide him up to your face, sharing a sloppy yet intimate kiss. The taste of yourself evident on his tongue and glistening on his chin. You felt the need to return the favor. Turning you two over you were now on top and you slid your way down to his basal regions. Undoing his pants you felt his hand upon your wrist.
“Not tonight, this is about you Y/N”
You shook your head, surprised by his actions. But, it wasn’t in your nature yet to fully comply. You went back to the hem of his slacks and went to pull them down. While Loki let you slip them off with ease, egging you on with a few hitched breaths, it wasn’t until you came back up and lined your mouth up with the head of his painfully erect cock that he took control again. You placed a kitten lick on the tip of his head, looking up at him while doing so. Loki then grabbed a fistful of hair, forcing you to stay stuck on his face and giving him full leverage of where he wanted you.
You crawled up his body because you had no other choice unless you wanted to continue to feel the slightly painful pull on your hair. Obeying his silent command you were brought face to face with him once again.
“You just don’t know how to listen, do you?” he chided
“Neither do you, but you don’t see me complaining.”
In an instant you were flipped over again, being towered by Loki’s body. Your breath quickened and you watched his blue eyes dilate once again. A lascivious smirk and energy cast across his body. Wanting nothing more than to feel him, you raked your hands down his back and dragged them across the sides of his ribs, only to let one of them begin stroking him again.
“Ah~ Y/N”
It was at this moment that the last bit of power you had completely dissipated. Loki’s hand moved with such a quickness that it took you a moment to realize that his hand was now wrapped around your throat. Sending your eyes to roll to the back of your head in absolute euphoria.
“Such a dumb little girl you are. Can’t follow simple instructions yet here you are begging, for me to ruin you. Fortunately, you’re pretty. Otherwise this would be quite pathetic of you.”
Your walls clenched around nothing. It was becoming painful to not have some form of release. You just kept being pushed towards your edge with his words bringing you closer every time he spoke. He was dragging it out on purpose, you could see the sadism glint behind his eyes. Strangled you spoke, tears of desperation falling lightly from the side of your eyes.
“L-Loki, please. I need you so bad. I can’t take it anymore, please.”
“You may need me, but do you deserve it is the question at hand.”
“I promise no more games, I’ll be good for you”
Removing his hand from your neck, he traveled them down the valley between your breasts bringing one hand to massage one while the other traveled further, landing on your soaking clit.
“All this, from a little degradation...I expected more from you, darling”
Jutting your hips toward the hand currently nestled between your folds you begged,
“Loki, please I need you inside me, I need to feel you.”
He finally lined himself up with your entrance, teasing you with just his cockhead, reveling in your juices. You couldn’t help but whine the teasing was getting to a point of something almost unbearable. Your voice breathy and hot you whimpered one last plea,
“Please~”
When he fully sheathed himself inside you, your head rolled back, moans coming out of you at a pace you couldn’t control. He made you feel so full. You had yet to feel something so reminiscent of rapture. It almost made you dizzy. When you looked up at him there was a softness in his eyes that contrasted his tone of dominance a moment ago. It caught you off guard, but you were soon brought back to reality when his head brushed against the inflamed spongy spot within.
“Oh! My god”
“Yes darling, I am your god-”
You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his comment. His cockiness always finding a way to rear its head. But in your moment of ecstasy, you didn’t think he’d be able to catch it. Wrong. In a second, his length left you, flipped you on your hands and knees, and slipped back into your drenching cunt. You settled into the position, propping your ass out even more so to give him better access. You heard him growl behind you, his hand coming across your ass check and without a doubt leaving a mark. You yelped, startled by the sudden action. His pace became unrelenting, pounding into you with a ferocity that would make angels weep. His hand slid down your back and rested and the bottom of your hairline, once again grabbing your hair and pulling you back so your back met his chest. Directing your head to the side to face his own, he got in your ear,
“Roll your eyes at me again and there will be more than just a simple punishment awaiting you.”
Your walls clenched around his cock, eliciting a loud groan to come from Loki. You couldn’t help it, the noises he made were beyond divine and each one had you one contraction away from being sent over the edge one more time.
“Fuck, Loki, you feel, so good~fuck, please.”
You weren’t quite sure what you were pleading for; it just felt right leaving your mouth.
“Yeah, you like it when I fuck you like this. Like the little whore you are.”
“Fuck! Loki, oh my god~”
You were in so much pleasure you couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down your face. It felt so good to have this instinctual release. Loki released his grip from your hair and pressed your face down into the mattress. Unable to truly control the noises that flew from your mouth, you were now whimpering in the mattress. The ravaging of your body sending you into a full-blown frenzy that you never wanted to be free from. Loki’s thrusts became more erratic and his moans and groans flew more freely from his mouth. Enjoying the moment of approaching his climax.
“You’re going to cum with me and I’m going to paint your pretty little insides my color. Wanna know why?”
You tried your best to be attentive, flipping your hair out from your face, you looked behind you facing the god above you.
“Why, L-Loki?”
Bringing his hand around your body to massage your clit, he gave you an answer that you weren’t prepared for.
“Because you’re mine now. There’s no leaving after this. You belong to me.”
With one final clench, you tightened around his cock. Both of you reaching your peak at the same time, milking him of his seed. Both of your breathing was heavy, bodies sticky with sweat. Loki pulled out of you, his seed spilling out of you like donut filling. You rolled over on your back as he did the same and there was a comfortable silence that filled the room.
With the distraction of reaching a climax now faded, you felt violently vulnerable under his gaze. You found your courage and looked back at him, his eyes still dilated but now with a different emotion swimming through them. Adoration? Wonder? Regret perhaps? Before you could let one more intrusive thought in Loki brought you out of your head.
“Stop worrying, you’ll make the wrinkle between your brow permanent.”
Your mouth opened slowly in disbelief, slightly offended by his comment but also at a loss for words for him figuring you out so quickly.
“Is it that easy to figure me out.” you chuckled.
“Yes, in fact, you wear every single emotion on your sleeve. You couldn’t hide what you feel even if you wanted to.”
You sighed, a smile stretching across your face as you exhaled.
“Can’t fool you, can I?”
“It’s quite hard to fool someone who is the master of fooling others. I’m the creator of the ins and outs of mischief.”
You shared a light laugh but you couldn’t ignore the overwhelming feeling of guilt and disquiet swirl in your head. Did he honestly feel for you, or did he perhaps just indulge your desires because he had wants of his own. You were in the perfect state to be taken advantage of, heartbroken and needing something else to fill the hole in your heart. You rolled on your side, your hand resting on his chest, beginning to draw feather-light patterns on his skin. Your hand created a path up to his neck, your fingers guiding his face forcing him to have nothing else to focus on but you. You needed to quell the noise in your head, you didn’t want this to eat you alive as well.
Worst he can say is no and we just move on Y/N. That’s all that can be done. Just ask him.
“I know you’re not one for sentiment, but did you mean what you said to me? About your liking for me.”
Moving a few coils of your hair away from your face he gazed into your eyes with an intensity you were unsure how to read.
“One thing about me darling is that through all my moments of deception, dealing with such intimacy is not something I take lightly. While not sentimental, I meant every word. I assure you of that. Now, dry your eyes.”
You hadn’t even realized the petal-soft tears slowly rolling down your cheek. You were too engrossed in Loki’s words of affirmation that you felt you left your physical body for a moment. Loki’s hand came up and wiped the tear streaks away from the bridge of your nose and under your eye. He made you feel at home. Warm and comforted even if he had his instances of sharpness, you didn’t want this moment to end.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere.”
You chuckled and the light was restored in your face.
“I don’t care what you say to me, you can read minds. Now stop reading mine, you’re freaking me out.”
Your laughs echoed through the room, any remnant of tension long gone from the space. You stared at the ceiling thinking about how the rest of your days would pan out. You felt the waters would be rocky but they would calm eventually. The thrashing of emotional waves turning into gentle swells. You felt at peace for the first time in a while. Pulling you once again from your thoughts, Loki’s voice filled your ears.
“Now, I am aware that we have done this quite backward, but would you care to join me for dinner tomorrow night? And do this the right way?”
Rolling back over onto his chest you smiled against him
“I’d love to”
Amiable silence fell over the room as your body began to rest. The beating of Loki’s heart created a rhythm that seemed tailored specifically to put you to sleep. Eyes growing heavy, you fell asleep, ultimately feeling secure within his arms.

GEORGENOTFOUND
You quickly learned that stealing would be the only way to stay alive during the apocalypse.
You hated taking from homes and stores when you knew that someone once lived or worked there, when you knew someone else might need it more than you. Unfortunately, you didn’t have much of a choice. Where would you get food from if you didn’t take what you could? But it made you feel so greedy in a way, even though you knew that was stupid. You had to live somehow.
The apartment complex looked extremely inviting. You could see how nature had started to reclaim the building over time. It seemed more intact than most buildings in the area, maybe you could settle there for a while. It would have lots of supplies too, you won’t have to feel so guilty about taking from separate homes.
The apartment looked much better outside than it did inside. The floorboards were destroyed and nature had claimed most of the furniture. You didn’t let that stop you from escalating up the stairs, however. Even if a few steps were missing, it didn’t matter too much. They were mostly safe besides the occasional half-broken board. There were 6 rooms on each floor, most of which seemed ransacked already which was quite disappointing but you held your head high.
The higher you went, the more supplies that seemed to be around. However, there wasn’t much good food left. A few closed cans of soup here and there, but most everything else was rotten or molded over already. The amount of medicine made up for it though. With you having to constantly wander, sickness was quite common.
You had just made it up to the third to last floor. This was where nature had really taken over. You could see where plants had started to grow on the floor above you through the ceiling. Most people probably wouldn’t go up to that floor, which meant most supplies were probably up there. Part of you didn’t want to go up any more floors. After all, many poisonous plants had come alongside the mobs and monsters. You took a deep breath and began exploring the second to last floor.
The plants seemed to only be in one room, and as much as your mind screamed you not to, you were curious. So you took a slight peak in the room, not actually planning to go in. The plants seemed to sprout from one source that was close to the furthest wall, there seemed to be either a huge flower bud there. The plants were also all blue. You told yourself not to go in, you knew better than to go in, but you had seen a box of waters in the corner closest to the flower bud. You could probably just have found a water purifier from a store, you could have done anything else other than go near the flower, but you seemed to have forgotten what kinda world you were in as you carefully tiptoed across the room, trying your hardest to not disturb the plant life.
There were around 8 waters in the box, which made the trip seem worth it at the time. You put all of them in your bag before slinging it back over your shoulder. You only took one step when the flower bud began to open up. You watched in terror as the flower bloomed to reveal a male slowly sitting up in the middle. He had brown hair from what you could see, but then again that wasn’t much. He seemed to have mushrooms growing from his hair and he wore a brown cloak which you could see his tail sway as he rubbed his eyes. He looked around and made eye contact with you, as you both just stared at each other.
When you went into the plant infested room, the last thing you had suspected to happen was meeting a very tired mushroom man that came out of a flower. But fate had different plans.
BADBOYHALO
When the apocalypse had started, you thought that your life would end very quickly. After all, you weren’t very athletic and had almost no upper body strength. Yet, here you were in. Almost two years later, bandaging up an injured demon.
You had met him while rummaging through a store.
You had just made your way to an old town you didn’t recognize. Then again, you weren’t able to recognize much anymore with everything being mostly ruined and you having terrible eyesight. Most buildings had been overtaken by nature and eventually collapsed under the pressure of everything. You weren’t able to find much to eat during the apocalypse, besides stale bread and cold soup. Nothing you couldn’t handle, but still, it would be nice to have something else for once.
The store must have been looked through once because most of the canned soup was already gone, not that you minded much. The store had a lot of candy, noodles (they taste good uncooked, fight me.), and water. There wasn't much medical stuff either, just some bandage wrap and rubbing alcohol. It would do for a while, at least until you could get something better. You decided to grab duct tape as well.
You were heading to the drinks in the back to see if you could get something else besides water, just as a good job staying alive this long when you heard a loud crash and the sound a cat would make when it fell.
Your first response was to pull out a pistol from your backpack and slowly approach the sound. You had quickly learned that not everything in this apocalypse was out to kill you and your kind. One was the villagers. Very kind human looking creatures, yet also hard to find. Villagers made an array of sounds and it was somewhat believable that they would or could make that sound.
‘Definitely not a villager’, you decided when the sight of a player came into view. You only knew what it was from books you had come across from the villagers. They were dangerous to the villagers, so the thoughts of what they could do to humans were terrifying.
The player in front of you seemed to be some sort of demon. You couldn’t make out much of them due to their black clothes and black skin, but you were able to make a black and red cloak of sorts as well as a gray and black scarf. They had wings that seemed to be bleeding, however, you couldn’t be sure. Two sets of horns came out of their head while two tails waved from under the cloak. Ontop them was a movie rack that had tangled their tails and trapped their horns, as well as capture one of their legs.
It must have smelled you or heard you coming somehow because they turned their head in your direction as much as they could. He - as you observed - had more than 4 pairs of white eyes and… whiskers? He seemed almost ecstatic to see you, blabbing away in what may have been latin. His tails tried to sway more yet couldn’t due to the movie rack.
You carefully approached, putting your gun away as you noticed he wasn’t much of a danger. You crouched and observed his face while he continued to blab on and on. He had a cut on his cheek, but that was it for facial injuries. His wings had many tears and rips, however. You stood back up and walked to his side. He tried to turn his head towards you but couldn’t as his horns were held tight in place.
The first thing you needed to do was free his wings from the movie rack, which was much harder than it seemed to be. You were most concerned about the tails, which would wrap around your arm the best to their ability. You tried to communicate with him, saying he needed to stop moving his tails if he wanted help. All you got was a confused hum and him trying to move his head more which would strain his horns.
You looked around and came up with a plan as your eyes landed on some duct tape on a shelf. You left the player’s side for a moment to grab the tape which made him struggle more much to your disappointment. You walked back over to him and wrapped the ends of his tails together which most likely wouldn’t hold for long, but it would be enough. You carefully pulled his tails out of the rack, only leaving his horns and leg. As expected, his tails quickly tore through the tape after.
His leg was easy to release, but you had spent half an hour on his horns. He kept turning his head and it would put you back at square one. But you had managed. He seemed extremely grateful to be free from the rack, standing to his full height and bouncing on his feet. You noticed he had similar feet to a bird with only four claws with one in the back supporting him. You began looking over his wings which made him do the same. He caught some hair in his hand and carefully brushed his claws through the tangled mess.
What a strange day it would be.

Flower Field
Summary: Harry accidentally breaks his favorite guitar, which makes it an obvious choice of a present for his upcoming birthday.
Genre(s): fluff
Word Count: 2.3k
Warning(s): cuteness overload
After releasing Fine Line, Harry was preparing himself to go on a world tour with the new album. He refused to leave you, his most precious treasure, behind when going on tour. He begged you to come with him, as if you could ever turn that request down.
Couple of months before the tour Harry’s favorite guitar ended up broken. It was just another night spent in the studio with you and Mitch. Harry got a bit too excited (and a little tipsy) as he danced his precious bum off, he tripped and landed right on top of his guitar neck, snapping it in two. Watching his facial expression change from a blissful one to a mournful one, you stood up from your place to walk over to him and wrap your arm around his waist. You took a look at the body of the guitar on the floor, separated from the neck, that Harry was holding at the moment. He held it with disappointment written all over his face.
“It was a really good one, you know?” Harry stated, turning it look at you.
“I know, baby. I’m so sorry.” You pressed your body to his side and pulled him closer to you by his waist.
“It’s okay. It happens sometimes.”
Although, he tried to brush it off, you knew he was very upset. He wrote two albums on that guitar and was planning on taking it along on tour.
His birthday was just around the corner, so you knew exactly what you were going to get him as a present.
The next day you called Mitch and asked him about the guitar Harry broke and where you could get the identical one. Mitch provided you with the address of the guitar shop, that Harry mostly get his guitars from, and the name of the model.
You snuck out of the bed early in the morning, gently pushing Harry’s arm off of your body. Leaving the bed, you made sure to pull the blanket over Harry’s back, so that he’s not freezing in this mid-January situation that was going on in the northern hemisphere. You were turning to walk up to the closet to change your clothes, but you couldn’t keep yourself from turning back in your feet and bending over the bed to land a kiss on your beloved’s temple.
“Nghh, where y’goin’?” Harry surprised you by mumbling to you and tugging on your (his) T-shirt.
“Stay. Please.” How could you leave now?
Guess the guitar will have to wait for a day.
“Y/N, don’t go please. We haven’t cuddled in two days. I miss you. Come on, princess. Come here, love.” Harry whispered in your ear as you guys stood in the kitchen cooking dinner two days after you were supposed to go to the guitar shop.
“Baby, stay with me. It’s so early and you look so fucking hot in that T-shirt of mine.” Harry pressed his crotch against your thigh on the third day after you was supposed to go to the guitar shop.
“But we had to watch so many movies, sunshine. I even made us some popcorn.” Harry grinned at you, walking towards you with a bowl, while you were sitting on the couch.
As you may have already guessed - it was the forth day after you were supposed to go to the guitar shop.
On the fifth day, you told Harry that you have to do a lot of work that accumulated within those five days. He grudgingly let you go, but made sure to make you promise to spoon him when you come back.
Parking your car by the guitar store, you were relieved to see that the store was open on a Sunday.
You walked into the store and up to a shop assistant, who was wearing a Pink Floyd T-shirt. “Adds to the atmosphere.” You thought.
After telling him the name of the exact model you need, Eric, as his badge suggested, guided you to the guitars hanging on the wall. He pointed at one, that looked just like the one Harry cracked in two.
You walked out of the store with a guitar in a case and a happy smile on your face. A fucking poet you are.
Not wanting to leave the guitar plain crème, you also dropped by an art supplies shop to get some paints to decorate the guitar.
Next week you would sneakily decorate the guitar whenever Harry left the house to go to the store or the studio.
By the end of January the guitar was decorated with flowers. Chamomiles, roses and sunflowers graced the surface of the guitar, making it look like a portal to a flower field. Perfect.
On his birthday, Harry was woken up earlier than usual by your kisses. What greeted Harry was the undivided attention of his favorite person and a breakfast in bed made by said person.
At about seven in the evening you both were on your way to the party that Jeff put up for Harry and Glenne. On the way there Harry kept asking you about the mysterious present that you promised to gift him after the party.
“Is it something edible?” He asked, being visibly restless.
“No. Actually, who knows? I guess everything is edible. I think you could try to eat it but I doubt you’d like it much.”
Your answer just confused the poor guy even more. He turned his head back to the window and squinted his eyes. In a few moments, he turned his head back to you, sitting in the driver’s seat. You told Harry that as a birthday boy, he shouldn’t have to drive himself to his birthday party, which was a lame excuse, but you needed one to get him to let you drive, as you knew his attention would be on you the whole road to the place.
“Is it small enough for me to carry it around?” Harry tried his best to guess what exactly you were getting him. He’d been like this since the early morning when you wouldn’t tell him what you’ve gotten for him.
“It’s not small, but you can carry it around.” It was the first question, for which your answer wasn’t exactly a “no”, so Harry smiled, thinking he’s finally onto something. The party took place in a closed down restaurant that you all would go to once in a while. There weren’t many guests. Just the closest friends. “Knowing Harry, it’s probably hundreds of people.” You thought.
At 8:46 Jeff came up to you and Glenne and interrupted your heated discussion about the newly released albums that deserve more appreciation than they’re getting.
“Y/N.” Jeff whispered to you. “Harry’s going on and on about a present. He’s driving me insane.” Jeff started and leaned closer to you.
You know exactly what’s going on.
“What did you get him? I’m honestly intrigued myself.”
As if you didn’t know that Harry was the one who sent him over to you.
“Look, Jeff, I know Harry sent you over. I’m not telling you anything.” You turned to Harry, who was standing two tables away from you and was, apparently, engaged in a conversation with Ben.
You walked up to him and tapped him on his shoulder. He excused himself, slowly turned around and tried to hide a smile, knowing that you’ve probably figured his plan out.
“Hi, baby.” You moved your mouth up to his ear, which made him lean into it automatically.
“If you want to know what I got you, you should be patient like a good boy you are, okay?” Your voice was stern and you could feel him stiffen up next to you. As you moved away from him, you put on an innocent smile and kissed him on the lips. He froze in his place and couldn’t even move his lips against yours. Separating your lips from his, you turned to back to walk over to Glenne to continue your talk.
When you came up to Glenne and Jeff, he informed you that the cake is about to be brought out for the two Aquarians to blow the candles.
When the cake was brought out, the wishes ended up forgotten, as both Harry and Glenne had their faces covered in sweet frosting. You laughed while dragging your pouty boyfriend to the restroom to clean him off. On the way to the restroom, your fingers had already been covered in the frosting from Harry’s face, as you were getting a better taste of it.
You walked into the restroom and got napkins to clean Harry’s face off.
“Is it something we can both use?” There we go again.
“No, love. Unfortunately, it’s not. I mean it could become that but not at the moment, no.” You answered him while wiping the frosting off of the tip of his nose.
“Why is it s’complicated?” He asked with frustration written all over his face.
“It’s actually quite simple, lovie. We’ll be home soon and you’ll know what it is.” You smiled at Harry and brought your hands to cup his cheeks and kiss the tip of his nose.
“You’re so loving.” He lets you push his head into the crook of your neck.
“Of course I am. How can I not be loving to you? You’re my everything.” You cooed into his ear while drawing circles on his back.
“No. No one has ever cared f’me as much as you have. Y’make it look so easy to love me, and I know for sure - I’m not easy to love. I’m all over the place. I’m clingy and sometimes even annoying, but y’never make me feel like it bothers you.” He whispered truthfully into your ear as he relaxed in your arms.
You couldn’t bring yourself to push him away to look into his eyes. You hugged him tighter and kissed his temple.
“Because it doesn’t. I don’t make it look easy to love you. It is easy to love you. I love when you’re being clingy. Makes me feel wanted and loved. I adore everything about you, my precious. You’re so sweet, kind and attentive, sunny. I love you more than anything, do you know that?” You could feel him ready to start a debate on how annoying he is, but before he has a chance to say anything, you pull him away from your neck and look into his eyes, still holding his hands in yours.
“It’s a guitar.” You blurt.
“What?” Harry asked you confusingly.
“The present. It’s a guitar. The same as the one that you landed on. I also painted it but I want you to see it in person first.” You explained shyly. Harry looked at you with wide eyes and seemed a bit too shocked for your liking.
“Why do you look so shocked? Am I that bad that you didn’t expect me to do anything nice for you?” You jokingly asked.
Harry’s face softened and the corners of his mouth flew up. He kept looking at you with his loving green eyes and you could see tears building up in their inner corners.
“Harry, are you crying?” You asked and tried to pull him closer to yourself but he brushed your arms away. Instead, he grabbed your cheeks in his hands and smashed his lips into yours.
As his lips separated from yours, he kept holding your face in his hands and looked straight into your eyes.
“I spent my whole life thinking that I will never be able to find real love. I kept blaming myself for the fact that every relationship I’ve been in before you would fall apart because of me. When you walked into my life, I was so scared to mess everything up again, but you made it seem as if I wasn’t the one at fault. You made me feel normal for once. You make all the pain subside. M’heart and soul belong to you. Only you.“
As Harry finished his speech, Mitch bursted into the restroom.
“Guys, stop making out, we’ve been waiting for you to cut the cake. Glenne said she wanted Harry to help her make the first cut for a picture.”
Mitch walked further into the room and stood behind Harry pushing him towards the door.
“Y/N, come on. He won’t go unless you come with him. He’s like a lost puppy without you.” Mitch teased Harry, causing him to frown.
“He’s my lost puppy.” You joked and walked behind the guys.
You couldn’t see Harry’s face properly, but you were most certain that a grin on his face was impossible to miss.
Here you were now, watching Harry and the band during a sound check while biting on the takeaway food that Harry ordered for the whole team.
“Y/N!” You heard your boyfriend calling for you from the stage.
When you looked up from your feast, you took some time to chew on your food and answer.
“Harry!” You mocked your curlyhead, watching him smile at you.
“Look what Mitch just taught me.” Harry announced and positioned his hands over the strings and the fingerboard of his flower-field guitar.
As you walked closer to your excited boyfriend, you could hear him starting to play Mitch’s solo from ‘She’. The more he played, the wider your smile grew.
The crew carried on setting everything up for the concert, while Harry kept showing off his newly-learnt guitaring.
Harry kept telling you that the guitar made him play even better and was probably certain that it is exactly the case.
Knowing that it can’t be possible, as the guitars were identical, you put the blame on the fact, that he was strongly besotted with you.

Moments || s.r
pairing: spencer reid x ssa!reader
warnings: child abduction case | swearing maybe ?? | lmk if I have missed anything ♡
word count: 2.4k
a/n: this is my first one-shot involving any members of criminal minds. i have slowly fallen down the rabbit hole of being complete obsessed with spencer reid hence the reason for this new tumblr. lmk if you have any recommendations of other writing pages/criminal minds pages! Also if you have any requests, hit me up♡
This was the moment that you dreaded. The moment after you had the chance to clean yourself up; after you made a nutritional meal; after you made a cup of tea in your favorite mug and after you decided on a movie to spend the night watching. It was the same routine, the only differential factor was the case that happened before it. It was the moment that you were able to take a deep breath and look around your empty apartment, and each time, the sudden feeling of dread suffocated you.
It was the moment that you used to look forward to but years had past and despite loving your job and the people you worked with, realization dawned on you that it had started taking a toll on your social life. You couldn’t even recall the last time you went out on a date. Was it two years ago or more? Every time you got back from a case, you slowly started falling into a state of loneliness and your mind would keep you preoccupied with the thoughts of never finding someone to love you.
You stared at the steaming tea in the mug, watching it dance through the air and you felt your eyes starting to tear up with the heavy thoughts in your head. Sighing, you stood up and placed the cup on the coffee table. “That’s enough now..” You mumbled to yourself, grabbing your phone and opening the app store. You flickered through the multiple dating apps that were available, your mind boggled by the amount of them and just as you agreed to install one, your phone buzzed in your grasp.
Hotchner: We have a new case.
A sigh of relief escaped your lips and you suddenly forgot about the dating app that was installing itself into your phone. Another routine that you were too accustomed to was changing from your loungewear to something more appropriate for work and grabbing your travel bag in less than ten minutes before you were out the door on the way to your second home.
As you walked into the bullpen, you spotted each member of your team, and a feeling of security flooded over you. “Ah, there you are.” Derek grinned, dressed in a leather jacket and fitted jeans, as he leaned against your allocated desk.
“Missing me already?” You teased. You could tell that the spark in your smile didn’t reach your eyes but you had to try your hardest to hide your negative thoughts in a room full of profilers. You placed your bag underneath the desk by Derek’s feet and he reached an arm out for a side hug.
“You ok?” He whispered, making it look as if he just kissed the side of your head.
You knew you couldn’t trust your voice so you just responded by nodding at him, returning the friendly gesture. Derek was your closest friend in the BAU, you enjoyed his energy and could tell there was more to him than just pretty looks and a funny demeanor. Your attention was pulled away from him when Hotchner walked into the room, his confidence stride going towards the conference room. “Let’s go.”
Garcia debriefed everyone on the active case that we were going to cover and the moment you heard the words child abduction, you sucked in a deep breath. They were always the ones that had the biggest impact on you and it took a while for you to recover from them, depending on the outcome. As you looked around at the team, you noticed that everyone looked exhausted from the previous case you had just closed; you caught Spencer’s glance and returned the empathic smile that he gave you.
“Wheels up in ten, we’re already four hours behind. We can rest on the jet.” Aaron said before everyone fleeted from the office.
Over the course of the next few hours, you slowly started to feel yourself slipping away from being hopeful that you were going to find this child. Two other children have gone missing from the area within the past six months and they still haven’t been found. You sat on a chair, your eyes scanning the information board over and over; there had to be something someone missed. Three young boys stared back at you, and time was ticking away.
A knock on the door pulled your attention away from them and you looked at the door, seeing Spencer there. “Sorry, I didn’t want to startle you.”
You stood up from the chair, shaking your head and fixing your shirt. “No, no, it’s okay. I should actually be out there. Just thought I might see something different.” You forced out a chuckle when you realized it was Spencer that was in charge of this board. Of course, if he couldn’t see anything, you wouldn’t be able to.
“How are you holding up?” Spencer asked, walking into the room and taking his rightful place at the board. Spencer had noticed how you were more reluctant to leave the offices at night; how you were always trying to hold onto that last conversation. He could see that empty look in your eyes in the morning, noticing how your cheerful demeanor would come out after you spoke with people.
“I’m okay, Dr. Reid.” You teased gently, watching the light blush flutter across his cheek. “It’s just... cases like these are tough, especially when we have three missing boys and no leads. It just seems all too strange….”
Spencer listened to you rant on about the case, watching you sigh in frustration and he admired the way you spoke with your hands. He wanted to ask how you were feeling despite the case, he wanted you to open up to him like you do with Derek and JJ but he just couldn’t get past that wall. He wasn’t too sure if it was him or you that kept rebuilding the wall between you, was he afraid to admit that he has slowly started to fall for a colleague… again?
“That’s it.” You whispered, rushing over to where Spencer was standing and examining the photo of the second child that went missing. “When I went to speak with Mark’s parents, they had a photograph on the wall and his father was wearing this exact shirt, it’s from a boy scouts association.”
“Do you think it was his father?” Spencer questioned, trying not to get distracted by the fact that you were centimeters from him. He could smell the lingering scent of your shampoo and he could almost feel your heart racing.
“N-no, I don’t think so. If you look at the photo, you can see that the shirt is too big for it to be his. What if someone had some kind of grudge…”
“Over the fathers and his way to get even is to take their sons.” Spencer finished your sentence.
You looked up at him, his body closer to yours and you felt your skin getting red. “It could be a long shot but it could also be worth it.” You mumbled quietly, very aware that Spencer hasn’t made any objections to you standing this close to him. You took your phone out to call Garcia, and inwardly groaned when you unlocked it and Tinder was the page that was exposed. Glancing at Spencer, his face looked defeated and he took a step back from you. You couldn’t understand why regret and panic swept over you, and you started blabbering excuses out to him.
“Don’t worry about it, Y/N. Your secret is safe with me.” Spencer chuckled softly before he turned his back to you and you could see him running his fingers through his hair. When you got through to Garcia, you explained your theory to her but your mind was distracted by the tousled brown-haired man in front of you. As you waited on the line for Garcia’s confirmation or rejection of your theory, your eyes kept glancing at Spencer. You so badly wanted to be able to explain to him that you haven’t even been on the dating app, that it was a moment of weakness on your behalf.
“Y/N Y/L/N, if you were here right now, I would kiss you! I’m going to call Hotch, I’ll send the address your way.” You released a sigh of relief when she hung up, and you smiled at Spencer.
Spencer returned the smile, “Who’s the genius now?”
“Come on, let’s go get ‘em.” You retorted, ensuring that you had your gun and left the precinct with Reid hot on your heels. The hope was finally started to come back.
It was always good closing cases that had a happy ending but unfortunately, not all of them ended like the one today. But you were going to take advantage of the blissful feeling that you were feeling while it lasted. You were back at Quantico now, filling out the last of the paperwork. It was just past eleven in the evening and you had said goodbye to the team merely two hours ago. On your way to the storage room, a light caught your eye in one of the conferences room.
Peeking through the half-open blinds, your stomach twisted when you spotted Spencer there, flicking through an unknown file. The feeling was strange, it was as if you had the sudden urge to want to go talk to him and there was no doubt that he has been on your mind the last few hours. You knocked on the door, opening it and leaning on the doorframe. “What are you still doing here?” You smiled, and when he lifted his head, his hair danced around his face.
“I-just catching up on some research,” Spencer replied, placing the chart on the table in front of him. But the truth was, Spencer just picked some random file to read so that he had a reason to make sure you weren’t going to stay here all night by yourself. “What has you here?”
You shrugged your shoulders gently, walking further into the room. Nibbling on your cheek, you wanted to open up to Spencer but you didn’t want to bore him with details of your life that he had no interest in. Before you could reply though, Spencer started talking again. “When I asked you earlier about how you were feeling, I didn’t mean at that moment. I couldn’t help but... but notice that you have been acting strange recently, it’s as if your mind is always elsewhere and you’re always the last person here. Is everything okay at home?”
You couldn’t hide the shocked look on your face but you knew someone was going to pick up on it eventually. Spencer was the last on your list though that you’d expect to notice unless he has been watching you. And what would that mean if he was? Did he like you more than what you thought he did? “I-I… Spence, I don’t know how to explain it.”
“You feel as if your whole life has been dominated by this job? That it’s not giving you a chance to live how you would like? That you might end up being alone because of how intense this job is?” Spencer spoke softly, as if he knew exactly what he was talking about.
You shook your head, a light smile on your face and you scoffed in disbelief. “Exactly like that. That no matter how much I give to this job, I’m not getting anything back from it. I could agree to go on a date with someone, but I could never be 100% sure because at the last minute, I might have to leave for a case. No one would understand that.” You sighed, leaning against the table.
“I would.” Spencer whispered, and you whipped your head to look at him, noting how he was suddenly avoiding eye contact with you.
“What?” You asked, your heart beating against your chest.
Spencer looked around frantically before standing up from the chair, “Noth-Nothing, it doesn’t matter. Do you want me to walk you home?” He asked, his beautiful brown eyes avoiding yours still. You stood straight and walked over to where he was, his adam’s apple gulping.
You reached your hand to rest on his cheek, testing the waters at first. He didn’t flinch away as you expected, instead his eyes flickered closed for a moment and he rested into your touch. This was a moment that you could get used to; you watched his all the worries left his features and when his eyes opened, they were soft and swirling with unexplained motions. “Can I try something?” You asked quietly, not wanting to make any sudden movements. He nodded slowly, and his eyes widen slightly as he watched you move closer.
“Are you sure?” Spencer whispered, knowing that what is about to happen is something that you can’t take back.
“Yes.” You replied, closing the gap between yours and Spencer’s lips. The kiss was hesitant at first, neither of you wanting to scare the other away. His lips were soft, but as second passed, his confidence built and he wrapped his arms around you slowly, pulling you to him. Your lips moved in sync, savoring every moment and broken touch. Your fingers swam through his hair and your heart felt as if it wanted to explode with happiness. An emotion you haven’t felt in so long.
When Spencer pulled away, your eyes remained shut for a second wanting to remember every moment of it. You wanted to replay the kiss over and over again. His breathing was heavy and the air was fawning your face. “I have wanted to kiss you for so long.” He broke the silence, and your eyes connected with his.
“Really?”
“Really.” He whispered, leaning in to peck your lips again.
“What took you so long?” You asked.
“It was never the right moment.”

Going Once, Going Twice, part 4
I kid you not, I have re-written this 3 TIMES. I hope I didn’t overlook something *I’m excited to write the next one though*
CW: Whump, Pet Whump, Trauma, Manhandling, Panic Attacks, Anxiety, Restraints, Implied Abuse
Masterlist
Robert pulled up to his home, he glanced at the boy in the back of his truck. Poor thing was exhausted... He was fast asleep in the back, bundled up in his coat with his shackled wrists. He really should have taken those shackles off, but after getting his shoulder bitten, he didn’t want to scare him anymore, or risk losing a finger.
He opened the door as quietly as possible, and gently lifted him in his arms. He didn’t even stir as he was carried into his house. It was one story with a basement, even after his inheritance, he refused to move, as he always loved this place. He only fixed it up a bit and installed a nice kitchen for all his cooking dreams, it was also next to a childhood friend as well, so bonus points.
He unfortunately didn’t have a spare room, so he was just going to tuck him up in his own bed, and crash in his favorite recliner and call it a night. He pushed open the door to his bedroom with his foot, accidently jostling the man in the process, who slowly blinked to awareness. His eyes shot open.
Wait, where was he? Was he being carried? Who was carrying him?!
He let out a yelp, trying desperately to kick his way out of the man’s grasp. “Woah there!” Robert called, as Peter managed to kick his feet out from his arm, but Robert kept a firm hold on his chest. His feet hit the ground and he tried to slink out of the man’s arms, but Robert’s strength kept him held against his chest.
“Easy, it’s okay! I’m not going to hurt you, calm down!” Robert tried, as Peter cried and struggled. Finally, all the frustration and exhaustion hit him, as he let out one last desperate cry, before falling limp.
Robert slid down onto his knees with him still in his arms, this was wrong... His first step into his home and this is how he’s being treated. He was manhandling someone who was traumatized. “I.. I’m sorry.” Robert huffed, holding the hyperventilating boy in his arms. “Sshh... It’s okay. I’m going to let you go now. I’m sorry...” He released his grasp, as Peter used whatever energy he had left to scamper away.
The closest thing was the bed, as his instincts forced him to crawl underneath as far as he could push himself and tried to catch his breath. “Oh no no no... Sweetheart...” Robert sighed, flopping into his chest on the floor, trying to coax the boy out with an outstretched hand.
“I know you’re scared and exhausted. Trust me, I am too. But I can’t let you sleep under there, please come out so we can get some proper rest, okay?” He knew It probably wouldn’t work, but it was worth a shot. Peter glanced back at him with fearful eyes, too upset to budge from his spot.
Peter hugged himself under the bed. He was being so so disobedient. He couldn’t believe he wasn’t yanked out and beaten half to death for his disrespect. The man paid an unholy amount for him, so why was he being so patient? He felt terrible, and cursed his behavior.
Robert wondered if he should just leave him there for the night and crash himself. But no. He had to take care of this boy now, and he wasn’t going to be lazy about it. He inched over as quietly as he could until he could reach him. He gently placed a hand on his shoulder. The most Peter could react was a very sad little murmur and a flinch.
“Everything is okay.” He whispered, slowly pulling him closer, and closer. “Can you come out for me?’’ He soothed. Peter gave in, he was tired, and scared, and knew all the man had to do was grab him.
“I’m s-sorry!” He yelled. He wasn’t going to cry, he was going to be respectful and give his master what was owed. “I’m s-so sorry! I know I’ve been t-terrible for you, I d-didn’t mean t-to... I even bit you, and that’s unforgivable!” He cursed himself. “Oh sweetheart...” Robert muttered. “You’re not bad, you’re just scared, there’s a difference. You didn’t hurt me either, you just took a chunk out of that coat.” Robert chuckled, brushing the hair from his face.
He took his hand, as Peter cringed, waiting for a punishment. Instead, the shackles popped off and fell away from his bruised wrists, as Robert tossed them into the trash. “I.. But-.” “-Sssh, no buts. It’s off to bed with you now.” He smiled. He took his hand and pulled him up into the bed.
He pushed the heavy blankets down with a knee, and laid him in the plush bed. He whimpered and looked up at him pitifully, clutching the coat to his chest tightly. “It’s alright, you can keep the coat.” Robert smiled. “I’m in the next room if you need anything. Goodnight.” He said, sitting up and turning the light off, before heading straight to his recliner, and passing out himself.
The unwanted sun rose soon after, Robert crept over and quietly opened the door. Peter was still fast asleep, hugging the coat tightly with a peaceful expression. Thank goodness...
He pondered what to make for breakfast, it was his first morning, technically his first time meeting him too, without him being half asleep, or his teeth sunken into his shoulder... Peter had been through a lot, that much was clear. He was only going to be there for a week, not to his knowledge... But he was going to do his best to make him comfortable and happy.
He cracked some eggs and bacon onto a stove, and even decided last second to also make some pancakes. After some time, he glanced back at the bedroom. The door was... open!?
“Peter?” Robert called, trying not to let the panic leak in his voice. He ran out of the kitchen towards the open door, but startled himself when he found Peter pressed against the wall, cowering. His face said he had just woken up, but he had some energy now, it seems his fear got turned into curiosity.
He dropped to his knees instantly, still holding the coat in his arms. “Good morning... Master.” He mumbled. It felt so wrong to call someone else master then his previous one. “Good morning.” He smiled, giving himself a moment for the adrenaline to wear off.
“Come on up off the floor. You got up at the perfect time! Breakfast is ready.” Robert lifted him to his feet and steadied him by his arm.
The kitchen was gorgeous, spotless, marble countertops, golden background, hundreds of pots, tools, equipment selectively in their place, and colorful plants lining the windowsill. There was a small table in the center, with a couple of high chairs around it. Robert was a very tall man, so the chairs were quite towering.
Peter looked up at him for confirmation, as Robert nodded with a smile. He tried to hop up onto the chair, but failed a couple of times. “Is it alright if I help you?” Robert asked, as Peter ceased his attempts with embarrassment. He nodded shamefully, as Robert took his arm and gave him a boost up. He set a plate full of delicious smelling food in front of him. He gasped, covering his mouth, glancing up and down between the food and Robert, who gave him a sweet smile. “It’s all yours.” He said.
Every bite was divine, with every bite he felt more and more guilty that he didn’t deserve it. The man paid an unholy amount for him, but was also being so patient with him.
Why?
“So! Peter, is there uhh, any hobbies you like? Something I can get for you?” Robert asked. “Oh! I like... Being useful, I guess.. Master.” He replied. Robert stopped and glanced up at him. “It’s okay, you don’t have to call me that. It makes me feel like some tyranny.” He laughed. “Is calling me Robert, or Mr. McAllen okay?” He asked. “O-f course. It’s whatever you prefer, Mr. McAllen.” Using his first name felt wrong on so many levels.
“Maybe you would like to try painting, or music. I personally love woodcarving. I used to sell some awhile back.” He smiled.
Yes, yes... He knew it was only a week. But he seemed like such a sweet young man who never got to have fun and express himself. Maybe he should run to the store and buy him a bunch of things, can’t say no until you’ve tried them all!
Oh no.
It was happening.
He was starting to bond with him

Teenage Rebellion
I wanted to do something completely different. And I realized I had never really used Adrien’s character that much. Apart from the standard salt. So I decided to give him a better voice. Test my skills with a new character.
Adrien didn’t know what happened. What snapped inside of him? But he just knew that, one day, while his father was giving him a lecture and laying out demands, a funny little word popped in to his head; no. Then he started to wonder if he could say no. Then he heard Marinette her new internship only allowed her to work so many hours because she was only a kid. Then he heard something magical; child labor laws. He looked them up and was amazed. He wanted to know more; wanted to know what his options were. So he went to Marinette and Nino. Then explained that he had rights. When he mentioned about getting taken out of school, they gave him options of how to retaliate.
Nevertheless, it would be weeks before he decided to implement his new idea; not daring to yet. When he finally struck, he knew exactly what the final straw had bene.
“You’ll be taking Miss Rossi to the gala next weekend,” Gabriel told his son.
Adrien blinked, “No.”
The room went silent. Nathalie and gorilla looked stunned. Gabriel glanced at his son, “What do you mean no. This is not up for debate.”
Nothing ever was, Adrien thought, and that was problem.
“You’re right,” Adrien nodded. “Which is why my answer is still no.”
Gabriel assessed his usually obeying son. “I’m not asking.”
“And yet my answer is no.”
“And if you could no longer attend that school of yours?” Gabriel threatened. It always worked.
Adrien shrugged. “Then I will no longer model.”
More stunned silence.
“Adrien,” Gabriel pinched his nose but was cut off.
Adrien crossed his arms, “You can’t make me model.” He looked around at his three caretakers. “And if you try, I’ll scream loud enough for every reporter in Paris to hear me. And while we’re on the subject; I read something about child labor laws. You’re breaking them. I’ll scream that too. If that doesn’t stop, if I don’t start working normal kid hours and eating a healthy amount of food,” He threw the last part at Nathalie. She had been instructed to keep him on a strict diet. “I’ll go to the police. CPS. The news.”
Gabriel opened his mouth to speak again but again was cut off.
“Even if you try to keep me in here,” Adrien added. “It will just look worse. People will question where I am. The Brand will hurt. My friends will look for me. They’ll ask questions. They’ll spread what it’s really like for me. How unhappy I am. My fans will riot. Even more when I finally do get out of here and go straight to the police, a reporter; maybe do a tell-all on Alya’s blog. Oh wait, I already left several copies of that already previously recorded interview that will be released if I don’t show up for class for a few days.”
The three adults stood with opened mouths. Nathalie was the first to recover, “Adrien, we can discuss this…”
“No!” Adrien glared. “I’m done. You worked me to the bone, starved me, neglected me,” He threw that viciously at Gabriel who flinched, “Attempted again and again to isolate me from my friends. All of which is called child abuse. And now you want to control my romantic interests; tell that shrew Rossi to stay the hell away from me. I will never work with her again. Let me make this very clear. I have evidence of the child labor laws broken. I have video proof the various meals I’ve been served that never once met my nutritional intake. Recordings of various times you threatened me with my removal from school if I didn’t meet various demands and achievement. I have witness testimony from other models, my friends, current and former Agreste fashion employees of my treatment. I have no trouble releasing every last bit of information.”
Adrien took a breath after his rant. “This is my life. I will live it my way. From now on, one third of every paycheck I earn, and I do know the amounts, will be deposited into my personal bank account. The rest of into the saving account mother set up for me. In fact, I want the last six months of checks deposited the same. I want freedom. And if I have to destroy you to get it, I will. Push me, and I’ll push back.” With that, he spun around and left the room. Gorilla followed after him dutifully.
“What do we do?” Nathalie asked. “About Adrien, sir?”
Gabriel glared harshly at where his son at stood, “What can we do?” As much as it killed him to admit it, his son had them on the edge of cliff and looked rather happy at the idea of pushing them off. “I don’t look good in prison orange.” He sighed. “We’ll get him back under control soon enough.”
Nathalie nodded. Neither did she. “I’ll call Rossi and tell her plans have changed.” Everything had changed.
Later that day, Nathalie presented him with his bank card that she taken at Gabriel’s demand and gave him a stiff nod. He turned with a beaming smile to Gorilla, “We’re getting McDonalds!”
Nathalie let out a cry of protest but was ignored.
That day Adrien had his first big mac and fries. It was the biggest meal he’d eaten in months, so his stomach hurt a little, but he couldn’t stop smiling.
He got a call from his father when he was finished. When his dad immediately began to yell at him about not following his diet; Adrian hung up on him. The blond shook his head. He had warned his father; push and Adrien would push back.
He looked around and spotted some punk skaters skating down the street. Adrien smirked. Oh, he had an idea.
Marinette had been thrilled when he called to see if she was free to go shopping with him. Less thrilled, when they wound up at Hot topic.
“Why?” The bluenette whined. “Just why? I have so many ideas.”
Over the last two years, the two had become really good friends. They got even close when Chat Noir and Ladybug revealed their identities to each other. Mostly because they lost their crushes on each other. Marinette on Adrien. And Adrien on Ladybug. It was just too weird for either of them.
“This is what I want!” Adrien smiled as he looked through the band Ts and a lot of nightmare before Christmas merchandise.
“But sunshine!” Marinette pleaded. She started to pull out shirts and accessories that look like they would fit Adrien’s build. “Happiness?”
Adrien laughed, “Storm cloud. Make my father miserable.”
Marinette paused. “Happiness.” She nodded. She had wanted to stick it to Gabriel Agreste for years; the rotten bastard.
The girl ended up approving seven potential outfits from Hot Topic. Adrien bought them all. Then Marinette dragged the boy to other various stores. If Adrien was going to punk rock; then it would be a fashion and, dare she say it, chic punk rock look. Though she did have to drag Adrien away from the piercing salon.
When Adrien got home, Gabriel attempted to discipline him again but was met with stony silence. Adrien pulled out his phone and played a recording of Gabriel chastising Adrien not being thin enough and that his diet would be limited to 1000 calories a day.
The blond boy raised an eyebrow, “I can have this trending within the hour. Your move.”
Gabriel growled and stomped off. He had honestly thought his son had been jesting about the recordings, about evidence, or at very least could be cowed not use any of it. He was wrong, apparently; very wrong.
When Adrien left for school the next mornings, he caused his father to have a panic attack. Gone was the preppy, sunshine child the world was used to. The fifteen-year-old Adrien wore dark green ripped jeans; a studded leather jacket over a black My Chemical Romance shirt. He wore combat boots and eyeliner. “You were warned,” Adrien told his father on his way out of the door. “Keep pushing though.”
“Oh my god, he’s dead,” Nino said to Adrien when he got to class. “Gabriel Agreste.” He started to pretend to tear up. “You want something for so long. And when it finally happens. You wonder what to do.” He suddenly straightened. “I know let’s throw a party. It will end will a conga line over the SOB’s grave.”
“My father’s not dead,” Adrien rolled his eyes as he took his seat in the back. When Marinette had been moved there, he had follow much to the complaints of Lila. “Though it was a pretty close call this morning.”
Most people hadn’t recognized him as he walked through the halls of the school. It was a relief to just be normal.
When the other students arrived, he had gotten double glances. The first was when they said hello, then quickly looked again when they realized something was very, very wrong.
“Holy shit,” Juleka said loudly. The loudest anyone had ever heard her speak. She blushed. “Sorry. You look rocking, Adrien.”
Rose just kept blinking at him. “But, but, team sunshine?” She whispered. Adrien cooed. The two had been dubbed that by the class after a bad storm came in and all the class got soaked but the two kept smiling and trying to cheer people up.
“Team positive?” He offered.
A squeak let him know, Marinette had arrived. She looked over him, “What did I do?” She sat went to her desk. “What did I do?”
“Not enough,” Nino stated. “A little bit more. And we could’ve been doing the Cha slide over Gabriel’s grave right now. Step your game up, dudette. Cause you’re slacking.”
Marinette just closed her eyes and prayed for patience; having boys as her best friends wasn’t easy. Adrien and Nino had become her closest friends, after Lila came and tried to tear everyone away from her. She sort of succeeded. Alya was no longer her friend. Neither was Mylene, Sabrina, Ivan, or Kim. Everyone else in chose to believe the girl they’d known forever over the some chick they just met. Unfortunately, this cause Alya and Nino to break up. Nino was fine with remaining a neutral about whether Lila was a liar, though he thought she was, to keep the peace with his girlfriend. But Alya hadn’t budged and kept harping on the situation; about Nino being friend with Marinette. Nino had no choice but to end things which just cause the girl to get even angrier.
“Group selfie?” Adrien asked. “Juleka, you too. Come on, Rose.”
The five grouped together, and snapped a picture of Adrien’s phone, “Hashtag: new Look, new me. Hashtag: Smells like Teen Spirit.”
More gasps were heard as Lila and Alya, their posse, arrived. “What happened?” Lila frowned.
“Got a new look,” Adrien grinned.
Lila glared. She had been warned that Adrien had gotten out of Gabriel’s control but hadn’t believed it. “You won’t wear that on our date to the gala, right?”
“We’re not dating,” Adrien said bluntly. “I’m not going to the gala with you.” He shook his head. “I’ve told you too many times already, Lila. I will never date you. I don’t like you. I have never liked you. I’m sorry.”
Lila huffed, “Your father!” She started.
Adrien cut her off, “Can my ass!” He yelled. “I don’t care. Call it teenage rebellion or whatever. But It’s my life. Get over it.”
No, Lila thought, this couldn’t be happening. Adrien was her ticket in. At the gala she’d be on his arm and get attention from all sorts of celebrities.
Alya bristled on behalf of her friend, “You don’t have to be so mean.”
Nino glared back, “He wouldn’t have to be if she could take a hint. No means no.”
“He could give her chance,” Alya continued. “How will he know if he really likes or not if he doesn’t.”
“Because he said he doesn’t,” This time it was Rose who spoke. “Adrien, and everyone else, is allowed to decide that they don’t like someone; that they don’t want to date them. You should respect that.”
Lila started crying, big fake tears rolled down her cheeks, “I like you so much,” She pleaded. “I know you’d like me too if you got to know.”
Adrien scoffed, “I know exactly who you are, Lila. And that’s the root of why I don’t like you.”
At this Lila had to force herself not to glare. Fine, she thought, if he wanted to be like that, then she had another card to play. “Marinette put you up to this, didn’t she? She’s been bullying me. And got inside your heard with all her mean words; that’s why you don’t like me.”
Everyone on Lila’s side turned fierce looks toward the Asian girl, accusation on their tongue.
“How could you?” Mylene asked. “You’ve changed, Marinette.”
“Not cool, Bro,” Kim added. He had been crushing on Lila for months and followed her around like a puppy.
“You’re as bad as Chloe ever was,” Alya shook her head. “I can’t believe you’d hurt Lila over your jealously!”
Adrien wasn’t having it, “I. Don’t. Like. You!” He yelled at Lila. “I didn’t like you the moment you first came to this class. It has nothing to do with Marinette. It’s you. You’re the problem. Get it? Got it? Good.” He looked at Lila’s friends. “Marinette is not a bully. She is one of my best friends; my sister, even. And unlike you, she actually listens to me; what I want. Not pant after Lila’s every word.”
The class blinked, stunned because they never really heard Adrien tell anyone off before.
“Well, who are you taking to gala,” Lila asked snidely, and gave a quick mean look at Marinette.
“His boyfriend!” Nino suddenly blurted. “Ouch!” He hissed.
Marinette had kicked the glasses-wearing boy’s chair as hard as she could.
Adrien just went with it. He had come out to most of the class the year before and never made his sexuality a secret; he liked guys, or at least preferred them. His desire for Ladybug had come from his love had for the freedom he got whenever he was Chat Noir. He was happiest as Chat Noir, and seeing as Ladybug had always been present; he thought he’d be happiest with Ladybug. He was only a little right.
“He’s looking forward to it,” Adrien smiled, or at least, whatever guy he could convince to go with him, hopefully would be.
“What were you thinking,” Marinette hissed at Nino as soon as the bell rang ending first period, and they were in the halls.
“What?” Nino asked. “You’re the only who can make an attempt on Gabriel Agreste? Nope. Don’t think so. First best friend gets dips.”
“I don’t have a boyfriend,” Adrien whispered.
“So, borrow Marinette’s,” Nino shrugged.
Marinette gasped, “I’m not sharing my boyfriend with Blond Wonder over here.”
“What? Can’t take the competition?” Nino asked.
“I’ll end you, Lahiffe!”
“That’s not a no.”
Adrien laughed.
Juleka brushed by him, “I can ask Luka if he’s free,” She asked with a whisper. “If you want.”
The three paused. It was a good suggestion. “Aurore would come for blood,” Their newest friend had the biggest crush on the guitarist.
The rest of the school had been interesting. Adrien’s photo was trending; though nearly everyone in school had tried to get look at him.
When Adrien got home from school that day, it was to Gabriel and Nathalie’s angry looks. They had tried to do damage control. But for everything they released, Adrien had been quick to either deny their claims via tweets. Or lease video on Instagram about his new fashion direction.
“This is enough, Adrien,” Gabriel stated calmly. “You’ve gone too far. You will be escorting Miss Rossi to the gala, and this look will never be seen again. Am I understood?”
Adrien pulled out his phone, dialed a number, and put it on speak, “Hey man, do you still have that video of my dad pulling me out of school, during an important, test to go to a photoshoot?”
“Sure do.” Nino replied smugly.
“What about all the videos I sent you from overnight shoots?” He asked. “Where I worked like all night. Videos that clearly depicts that child labor laws were broken.”
“Saved on several different clouds.” Nino answered. “I can have them online in five minutes. And sent to the police and CPS in ten.”
“Thanks, talk later.” Adrien disconnected the call. “You were saying?” He asked his father. Silence was all he got. “Thought so. I’m taking my boyfriend to the gala.” He turned around. “I’m going out.”
Gabriel pinched his nose, “He’ll ruin us.”
“No sir,” Nathalie said. “He’ll destroy us.”
Adrien showed up at Marinette’s room an hour later, with a pleading look on his face and a box of hair dye.
Marinette took it with a sigh, “Are you sure it’s not me you’re trying to hurt.”
“It’s not permanent?” He offered weakly. “Should last a week, maybe less. I wash my hair a lot.”
When Adrien came to school sporting bright blue locks, three girls fainted.
“Awesome,” Nino high-fived the former blond. “How’s your dad?”
“Collapsed and fell down the stairs.” Adrien gave a small smirk. At the sight of Adrien’s hair, Gabriel had clutched his arms and just fell. “He was near the bottom so he was hurt too much.”
“Righteous,” Nino said and turned to look at Marinette in her seat, “What part of bestie gets dibs do you not understand?”
Marinette crossed her arms and sniffed, “Maybe I’m not the one needs to step their game up.”
“What?” Nino gasped. “Oh it’s on!”
Nino would later met Adrien and Marinette for ice cream, he’d come on the back of some guy’s motorcycle. “Hey,” Nino waved. The dude he was with gave them a stiff nod and a cocky smirk. He was blond with a cool haircut, tattoos, and two different colored eyes. “This is Jace. I know him through my cousin Simon. He’s seventeen. He has tattoos, drives a motorcycle, dress primarily in black and leather, and he’s been to jail. He agreed to be your date to the gala.”
Marinette and Adrien just stared. Adrien blinked too hard to shake the shock away, “Wow you really want my dad dead.”
He blushed red. Jace was rather attractive. He was the type who knew just how hot he was too.
“Hi I’m Marinette,” Marinette waved to Jace. “You’re freakishly hot. And if you manage to take out Nathalie too, I’ll be your best friend.”
Jace chuckled. This could be fun. Maybe Simon hadn’t steered him wrong when he told him to hang out with his cousin if he had the time. He had research Nino and his friends to the last detail, just in case. “Hi Marinette. I’ll do my best to try. My sister Isabelle and my best friend Clary love your MDC designs. They’d kill for them. Won’t even make it look like an accident.”
Marinette blushed, “Pull this off and I’ll design the dresses of their dreams for free.”
Jace fought the urge to wince. Failure was no longer an option. Clary and Izzy would hunt him down if he failed. So would Magnus for that matter. He’d been wanting to meet the young designer since he saw Jagged Stone’s latest red carpet look. And then Alec wouldn’t be happy about his sulky husband… even if he turned Jace into a toad.
Jace nodded and put an arm around the pink hair boy, “Let’s make it count.” The smaller boy blushed. Jace gave him a wolfish grin. “This is going to be fun.”
The rest of week had Adrien dodging a whining Lila and her attempts at getting her hooks into him in time for the Gala. She had been Akumatized three times over it. A fourth when Adrien had enough and got her mother to come to school and where truths were revealed.
Alya still refused to budge on the matter. Lila was Ladybug’s best friend after all. She couldn’t be lying, or so she said. Which caused most the class to groan. Marinette didn’t understand. After Ladybug had disavowed the Ladyblog for too many lies, asked Alya to take down Lila’s stories, and even went as far as getting a new fox hero (Juleka); she thought Alya would’ve wised up now.
Sabrina who had been converted back to light side after Lila’s mom had confirmed they had only ever lived in Italy other than France, said that Alya was probably just stubborn. She would have to admit that she struggled that she turned her back on her best friend, ruined her relationship with her boyfriend, and been a bad friend to most of the class for nothing. It was a hard pill to swallow.
Outside of school, his dad and Nathalie’s attempts to get him back under their thumb had gotten desperate. The first time they took his phone and his laptop. He had already gotten a prepaid one hidden in his room, once he got back to his room, he texted Marinette and Nino. Second later, a video of Gabriel ranting at his son for failing to be perfect during a photoshoot and threatening to remove him from school had surfaced. It took the media by storm.
Less than an hour later, someone knocked on his door.
“Come in,” He called from his bed.
Nathalie stared at him for a moment. “You posted the video.” She sounded like she still couldn’t believe it. “We didn’t think you would.”
“Now you know better.” Adrien stated. “My things.”
“This will hurt the brand,” Nathalie said as she place his phone and laptop on the bed. “Hurt the business. Stock prices will from the bad press.”
Adrien put down the book he’d been reading and leaned forward, “Then maybe you and dad will finally learn this is a game you won’t win,” He said. “I’ll see Gabriel Agreste’s entire legacy burned to ashes before I give in.”
“…Your mother would’ve done the same,” Nathalie whispered and was gone from the room before Adrien could say anything else; door closed behind her.
The day of the Gala, Saturday, Adrien had go to Marinette’s first thing in the morning. He left suit his father had laid out for him the day before in the fireplace. It wasn’t lit but he knew his dad would get the message.
Marinette had designed him and Nino suits for the dance. Adrien had made sure to add his two best friends to the Gala’s invite list months ago. The host of the Gala’s daughter was a big fan of the blond; it took an autograph or two to get two more invites. Normally, Adrien would wear a classic black suit of his father’s design.
Adrien wanted something different, something to make everyone talk, something to go with his pink hair. When he told Marinette this, she got a spark in her eyes, and he knew he’d get exactly what he wanted. And he did.
The pink-haired boy arrived to the Gala on the back of a motorcycle to the stunned faces of the Paparazzi. The valet who took the keys from Jace had looked excited at parking the bike though.
Adrien wore a slim fitted glittery sliver suit, that under the right light reflected a rainbow look, with a black tie and shoes. Jace wore ripped jeans, tight sleeveless undershirt, and his leather jacket. His tattoos on his neck was plain to see and he had on a eyebrow ring he didn’t before. Jace wrapped his arm around Adrien and escorted him inside. Just as the paparazzi suddenly got their senses back.
The pair found Marinette and Nino by the refreshments. They walked right by an angry Lila who looked ready to kill. She’d come with Alya, and how his father managed to swing that on such short notice, Adrien didn’t know. Nino wore a black and green suit. Marinette wore a sparkly midnight blue pixie dress. Marinette’s boyfriend Connor had arrived not after. Connor brought his friend Cassandra who seemed interested in Nino.
Adrien and Jace danced after speaking with the four a bit. As the two glided across the dance floor, Adrien found it hard to keep an eye out for his father when Jace kept looking at him so…
Well in a way that left him frazzled.
However Adrien’s first clue that his father had arrived was the sound of someone choking.
And then Nino shouted, “Yes, I did it!” Was his second clue.
“Gabriel’s fainted,” Nathalie yelled. “Call for an ambulance.”
“That’s one,” Jace whispered in his ear. “Care to make it Two for Two.”
Adrien looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding earnestly. A second later, Jace’s lips caught his own. Then they were making out on the dance floor.
“Nathalie’s down,” He heard Marinette cackle. “Poor thing. Must be the stress.”
The kiss broke. Jace smirked down at Adrien, “Not bad Agreste; might make this a permanent thing.”
Adrien hid his blushing face in his date’s chest; content to ignore the chaos erupting around them.
Freedom never felt so good.

The Fiction of Fairytales: Prologue
Title: The Fiction of Fairytales: Prologue
Characters: (eventual) Stucky x Reader
Summary: (a/b/o au that is non-cannon compliant) After being captured and forced to live as Brock Rumlow’s mate for years you are kidnapped by the Avengers. They plan to interrogate you for information on Hydra and Rumlow, but after Steve and Bucky realize they are your true mates, they realize that their kidnapping was more of an unexpected rescue.
Warnings: Mentions of assault, kidnapping, and abuse.
Word Count: approx. 1400
A/N: Why is it becoming a trend in my multipart series that the first chapter takes place between tony and the reader. Anyways, this part is very angsty and not fun, but there will definitely be fluff and romance coming in the future. I hope you guys like the beginning! 💕
As a kid you dreamed of finding your mate one day. Your parents had a beautiful relationship, you grew up watching the adoration in their eyes when they looked at each other and you wanted that. They seemed the most relaxed and at peace when you all were together. You didn’t know much about what your parents did, and to this day you still don’t, but at the age of 16, you learned that whatever it was that they did, they had made themselves an enemy of Hydra. You were having a movie night, all three of you watching the most recent released Disney movie. You sometimes imagine yourself there in the days that followed, praying that your mind could conjure those moments in the present rather than remain cruelly unreachable memories. But they are gone now, and you weren’t sure if you would ever know true peace again.
Hydra had invaded your home, and killed your parents. This is when you had begun to wish you never were an omega. Maybe if you weren’t, you never would have been taken that day. You would have gone with your parents, and your life would have stayed blissful up until the moment of your death. Unfortunately, when the Alphas that had invaded smelled you they decided to take you. The head of the group that attacked you was Brock Rumlow. He had decided you would be his before any of the other Alpha’s could get their hands on you. Though that didnt mean he had stopped them in the future.
For the past 8 years you were Brock’s omega, not by your own choice. You had tried to escape him a few times and soon you realized the pain when they caught you again was worse than staying. It was pointless to try and leave. Brock had all of the resources of Hydra and you had nothing, and since your parents died, you had no one.
The faith that you previously had in love that was demonstrated and proclaimed by your parents seemed like a fairytale. Most importantly a fictional reality you were not given the privilege of having in your own life. You only knew pain from alphas, not just your bonded mate Brock, but his alpha friends he would invite over to your place.
In the beginning Brock kept you locked in the cold basement, chained up most of the time due to your many escape attempts. But at some point he had broken you physically and emotionally, and he knew it. That was his goal, to not be able to see beyond the life he had given you. You were expected to please him in all aspects. You were his to command in any way imaginable, he had convinced you over the years that he only asked what was expected of every omega, convincing you that even if you left you would never be safe from your presentation. You were now able to sleep with him in his bed, though that was probably the last place you would want to be. You were given free reign of the home, mostly so you could keep it to his expectations and serve him. He even allowed you to go to the grocery store, though you knew he was watching you at all times, he would know when you left and if you didn’t make it back within what he considered a reasonable time or you talked to too many people you were punished. You were punished for just about everything, and sometimes just because it was what he felt like doing at the time.
Most people in hydra knew about you. Brock took you to all of the public events, and he would often make sure to not harm you in any visible places leading up to whatever event he wanted to show you off at. Not that anyone at the party would care about his abuse, hell most of them had, at some point, had a part in it, he just wanted you to look more attractive. Though he never complimented you, too focused on making you feel worthless, you knew from others that your scent and appearance was enticing, and you wished that it wasn’t the case.
Brock was having people over tonight, and you were expected to go to the grocery store. He didn’t give you the luxury of knowing who it was, you only wished to know what to expect, whether or not Brock would expect you to please whatever company it was. But like normal you were left in the dark, you only knew how he expected you to prepare and what food to make. Over the years you felt like you had gotten really good at cooking, though you weren’t allowed to have much of the food you made, he would tell you it was too good for you. He would either give you scraps or make you prepare something bland to eat for dinner.
You were picking up the ingredients as quick as you could at the store, despite the pain you were in from the morning. Brock had gotten mad at you for something minimal, you had looked at him in the eyes on accident, which was one of his least favorite things, and he had beaten you. Though you were sure you had a few broken bones, you were used to continuing on through the pain, he did not tolerate anything else. You thankfully had gotten used to the layout of the store since it was the only one he would allow you to go to, so you were able to make your trip as short as possible. It was the closest one to your house, and you imagined that at some point he had someone hack into the cameras.
After you loaded the bags into your car, you got into the drivers side only to scream when you saw a figure behind you.
“Hello, I’m sure you know of me, at this point everyone does, and you’re going to listen to my directions.” It was Iron Man, and though you weren’t too familiar with him, you had heard of him enough to know that he was an enemy of hydra, or that hydra was an enemy of him, you didn’t know which one was more appropriate. He almost didn’t need to point his weapon at you, he was wearing his whole suit as if he imagined you were some kind of threat, and you wouldn’t stand a chance even if he wasn’t wearing it, especially with the kind of pain you were in. Based on his threatening position in your back seat, and the fact that he smelled very much like an alpha, you assumed this was no rescue. Whatever it was, you hoped it would even be the slightest bit better than how Brock treated you. Maybe he would even give you the gift of killing you, then all of this would be over.
You looked at the cameras and noticed that in his position the car next to you blocked them from being able to see him.
“Don’t even bother looking, your mate isn’t going to save you. You’re going to put the car in drive and follow my instructions.”
You were too fearful to argue with him calling Brock your mate. Sure he technically was, but you had no choice in any of it. You originally had dreams of only bonding with your true mate, but that’s all it was, just dreams.
You didn’t respond. You had learned over the years to only speak when necessary, and you had a feeling Stark wasn’t going to listen to anything you had to say anyway. So you put the car in drive and followed Stark’s instructions. “You know you need to get out more, we’ve been following you for a while and you only go to the grocery store if you aren’t with your mate. I gotta say, that’s a little weird.” You didn’t know what to say, unsure if an honest reply would really get you anywhere.
“So, you aren’t much of a talker either I’m guessing, that’s fine, as long as you answer our questions when we get to the tower, I don’t care how much you talk.”
So, that’s why they wanted you. They thought you could give them information on Brock, or hydra. Maybe when he realized you were of no use to him he really would kill you.

CHAPTER 1
A leak.
A gods damned leak.
And a leak that he’d later learn only hit his room on top of it all.
Bad luck semblance or no bad luck semblance, that just wasn’t fair.
But regardless of whether or not it was fair, what it was was real and Qrow needed to do something about it.
From what Qrow gathered as he simultaneously observed the situation, got dressed, and tried to salvage anything previously left on the floor, the leak likely started last night while he was sleeping. Qrow slept right through its start and only realized it the next morning upon rising from his bed and feeling the very odd sensation of cold water greeting the heels and balls of his feet on the now wet ground.
Qrow was fortunate that most of his personal belongings had been spared the unwanted water’s wrath and those that were hit could be salvaged easily enough with some towels and just good old-fashioned sunlight. It still didn’t make the matter of his room flooding good though, just a bit more tolerable.
He couldn’t live like this.
Well, he probably could, but he sure as hell didn’t want to.
Qrow had slept in damp or even flat-out wet beds before under worse circumstances, and the smells of mold and mildew were not ones he ever wanted to make repeat appearances in his nostrils again.
Besides, it took forever to get the grime out of his hair.
No, Qrow needed a new living arrangement, and he needed it fast.
There was only one man he could go to to get that particular job done -- or at least get it done quickly -- and Qrow had no reservations whatsoever about paying that man a visit.
What a day this was shaping up to be...
It was a shame -- Qrow was actually getting used to his personal little corner of Atlas Academy. It was a comfortable enough space, not to mention private. He actually had a bit of space from the kids and while he enjoyed their company to some extent -- or at least, that was all he was willing to admit to anyone apart from himself -- after traveling side-by-side with them for weeks on end, the privacy that he gained from having a room to himself a little ways away from them was more appreciated than it wasn’t.
Well, maybe he’d get lucky and get a similar living situation again.
Of course, he often knew better than to hope for such things, but hey, he was trying to embrace optimism.
His nieces must have been rubbing off on him.
Perhaps someone else was, too.
Qrow found a custodian down the hall from his room and informed him of the leak on his way up to one of the academy’s elevators. An almost imperceptible movement jostled below Qrow’s feet as the elevator made its way up to Atlas Academy’s top floor.
Faces of varying degrees of familiarity met Qrow as he left the elevator and approached the likely location of his intended target. Qrow did what he could to starve off his own grouchiness, but by the time he had just one corner left to pass, the desire to do so had eroded away like footprints in a sandstorm.
And just in time to meet that grouchiness, James Ironwood was exactly where Qrow figured he would be.
James stood in the hallway right by his offices’ door, presently speaking to a couple of his soldiers. Whatever they were talking about, based on his slightly less rigid than usual posture and tone, it didn't seem like it was very important and probably wouldn’t keep him busy for too long.
That was good for the both of them, because Qrow intended to fill that void of business as soon as he could.
Qrow stayed by a nearby corner of the hallway while they continued talking, but the moment that the soldiers left James’ company, he struck. James gave him a small smile upon taking notice of Qrow, though it didn’t last long once he saw what was likely to Qrow a still very annoyed look on his face.
“Qrow,” James said, hesitantly, yet not without that professional tone he wore like a suit. “Always a pleasure.”
“Speak for yourself,” Qrow grunted. “A leak sprung in my room.”
A beat passed. James’ right brow raised.
“Bad?”
“I wouldn’t be here if it was good.”
“Fair enough,” James said right before releasing a sigh. “Come inside. I’ll see what I can do for you.”
Qrow nodded, and followed James as he led him into his office.
Once inside, James brought up on his projector a cubic holograph-like projection of Atlas Academy. From the other side of the hologram, Qrow could see that each and every room was outlined in a minimalistic way, with letters and numbers along the tops of them and the cube’s top and bottom squares greyed out. Qrow watched as James’ eyes surveyed each visible room on the square of the cube closest to him, muttering things to himself that were too low for Qrow to hear. Once done with the first visible section, James swished his hand so that the hologram would go to the next square of the cube, and then the third not long after it, and then the fourth not long after that. However, James' expressions and the tone of his muttering didn’t change at all across the four sections from what they were during the first one.
Honestly, Qrow couldn’t help but find that just a bit concerning.
When he was at last done, James moved his finger so that the second square on the cube he visited was brought up. While there was a look of unease on his face, Ironwood gave the screen a decisive nod.
Finally, frowning and seemingly just a tiny bit nervous, he turned to Qrow, took a deep breath, and spoke.
“There are no other single rooms right now, unfortunately,” James said.
Looks like Qrow’s instincts were right again.
He frowned. Qrow had expected as much, but the news was still annoying to hear all the same.
“So what are my options?” he then asked, coming out more as a sigh than a question.
“What I can do is place you in one of the dorms, like where the kids are staying. You won’t be alone though. You’ll be with some of my other Huntsmen, but it’ll only be for a couple of weeks, at most.”
Great.
Two weeks rooming with up to -- and, knowing his luck, likely -- three of Ironwood’s men, hearing them go on and on about Gods knew what, dealing with the small dorm room’s litany of smells, and never getting so much as a moment to himself.
And there was, of course, always the chance that they could figure out the truth of his semblance.
Qrow hadn’t told that particular truth to a lot of people in Atlas, and though those he did hadn’t given him a hard time about it, he frankly was hoping the number of those who knew wouldn’t increase. However, Qrow knew it inevitably would come up sooner than later -- it always did, especially with Huntsmen -- and he was decidedly not looking forward to the reactions from his roommates over it, nor their treatment of him afterwards.
Wasn’t that just the perfect cherry to put on this pain of a sundae?
Still, Qrow reminded himself, it was something, and something was better than nothing.
Qrow was about to begrudgingly accept the offer, but was interrupted before he could do more than open his mouth by the sudden sound of a man’s clearing cough from behind him.
There was no need to wonder who it was -- the voice had become to Qrow as distinct as the feeling of the sun in the sky, and honestly, about as welcoming of a sensation.
Qrow turned around and lo and behold, just as he expected, there stood Clover Ebi -- bravado, charm, cheery disposition, and all.
Why did Qrow always seem to find his soul suddenly starting to feel just that smallest bit lighter these days whenever he showed up?
Eh, that was a question for another day.
For now, Qrow just wanted to know what it was he had to say.
If nothing else, it would at least make his day a bit more interesting rather than just the irritating mess it was turning out to be.
“Ah. Good morning, Clover,” James greeted.
“Good morning James, Qrow,” Clover said, walking up to them and shooting Qrow a tiny, yet kind glance as he did. “Sir, if you’ll allow me to interject, I don’t think that a dorm’s the best option for Qrow. Those beds are fine enough for the kids and some of our younger soldiers to be sure, but they’re none too kind on the back after a certain age, and I don’t think I need to tell you that like it or not, that’s an age we’ve all hit as well as surpassed by now.”
James sighed, giving Clover a slight nod. “You’re not wrong. So, what do you suggest we do? I’ve no other rooms to put him in.”
“That’s true, but thankfully, I do.”
James’ brow furrowed for a second, clearly puzzled, before settling to something of a reserved curiosity.
Clover gestured towards the holographic model that James visited a few moments ago, as if silently asking permission to use it. James nodded, and Clover took to the model, zooming in on one of the upper floors of the cube’s second square. Finally, he pointed his finger at one of the larger rooms.
“The Ace Ops’ suite has two beds per room,” Clover went on to explain, “and the bed across from mine is empty. They’re better built than those in the dorms, a bit larger in size, and I think Qrow will appreciate the privacy of only having one roommate as opposed to three. So, Qrow can stay there, if he wants, that is.” Clover then turned to Qrow. “What do you think?”
Qrow paused for a second. As Clover posed to Qrow his offer, Qrow heard a small, but unmistakably present twinge of hesitance in Clover’s voice. However, Qrow couldn’t figure out for the life of him why it was there. Whatever was the reason, it definitely wasn’t regret on his part about offering the room to Qrow -- James had clearly either forgotten or never heard of Clover’s extra bed, and Clover was more than smart enough to know that if he didn’t want to share his room, he wouldn’t have had to breathe a word about it, let alone offer it to Qrow, but he did.
So then what was the deal with the hesitance?
Well, there was one way to find out, and that opportunity was presently standing right there in front of him.
Besides, it didn’t take a genius to see that compared to three strangers, rooming with one Clover Ebi was a far better option.
It didn’t hurt that he was a pretty decent guy either.
“Yeah,” Qrow finally said. “That sounds good.”
Clover smiled. That bit of unease was still there, now in his eyes, but Qrow could tell that the smile itself was as genuine as it ever was and hard not to look at because of that.
“Great!” Clover said. “Why don’t I help move your things from your room to mine and we let James get back to some slightly more pressing matters?”
“That would be preferable,” James chimed in, answering for Qrow and smirking back at Clover.
“Always a pleasure,” Qrow snorted, calling back to James’ initial greeting as he followed Clover’s lead out of James’ office.
As they headed towards Qrow’s room, Qrow noticed that as it often happened, by this time of the day, much of the hustle of the morning had settled down, now just a student or a soldier here or there making their ways to their respective classes and drills.
Qrow liked the Academy at this part of the day for that, but always felt the least bit unsettled by the quiet of it. There was this weird echo the hallways had as they carried the sound of just his footsteps for just a second longer than he felt they should have.
Clover’s presence alleviated things somewhat, as if a bit of noise somehow subconsciously radiated off of him like heat off of a fireplace. He turned to Clover who gently met his eyes with his own while sporting an easy smile.
“Thanks, by the way,” Qrow said, “for the offer.”
“Happy to help,” Clover said.
“How’d you hear about it anyway?”
“I was walking by your room to see why you didn’t come down to grab your morning coffee, and saw a custodian working there,” Clover answered. “He told me what had happened and from there, I figured that you’d probably gone to speak with James.”
“And so you came to save your boss from a cranky old Qrow?”
Qrow smirked, both at his comment as well as its underlying meaning. Maybe one day, he’d tell Clover the truth about his other form, but that would be on a day when he had so much as a single clue as to how to even start that conversation.
Then again, given the very nature of that confession, that might be a long time’s wait, though it was time that Qrow couldn’t help but feel like they had.
“And to save that Qrow himself,” Clover responded.
Qrow’s smirk melted into a snarky smile as they entered the elevator.
“Should I be swooning and calling you ‘my hero?’” Qrow nudged his head in Clover’s direction, clasped his hands together, and batted his eyelashes a couple of times just for good measure.
“If you’d like,” Clover said, punching in Qrow’s floor number just before letting loose another one of his winks, winks Qrow was simultaneously well-used to by now but still caught off guard by. “I certainly wouldn’t object.”
The elevator door closed and the two of them started laughing.
Clover’s laugh was infectious -- deep, attractive, casual, yet spirited -- and it made Qrow’s last a little bit longer than it otherwise would have for a joke like this.
It also reminded Qrow, as their barks of laughter settled down into rumbling chuckles, of how much Clover’s laughter contrasted that bit of hesitance in his voice he had at James’ office.
Well, Qrow figured that before they started the process of moving him into Clover’s room, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to clear that up.
“Everything okay, Clover?” Qrow asked. “Couldn’t help but notice that you seemed a little strange back up in James’ office.”
Clover's smile receded, not completely, but all the same into something more neutral. “By offering you the bed?”
“No, that was normal for you. I just noticed you just had this weird look in your voice as you were offering it.”
“I see.” Clover snorted. “You’re far too observant for your own good. You know that, right?”
A wicked smirk took over Qrow’s features. “Absolutely.”
Clover sighed. “I just didn’t want you to feel pressured into taking the room because it was me offering it or because James was there. I could only take a guess at what you wanted, but if I was wrong…” Clover seemed unable to continue, but able to tell that Qrow could understand his logic from there.
Qrow smiled at that bit of vulnerability Clover let him have. He’d received fragments of those bits here and there, and they had a way of sticking themselves onto Qrow’s heart like syrup on pancakes and feeling just as pleasant.
“You made a good guess,” Qrow assured, “and I appreciate it -- really, I do. Thanks, again.”
Clover’s smile brightened. “You know, you’re a lot better at giving compliments than you are at receiving them.”
“What can I say?” Qrow shrugged. “That’s just how I work.”
“Then I’ll just have to work that much harder to change that,” Clover challenged.
Qrow was starting to suspect that if anyone could accomplish such a feat, it would be Clover, and as they exited the elevator and continued towards Qrow’s room, Qrow realized that he wouldn’t have it any other way.

PRomance - Part Three
Paring: Chris Evans x Famous Reader
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,412
Warnings: Some swearing and mention of COVID-19
Description: Chris needs some good press. He convinces one of his closest friends to partake in a PRomance.
A/N: It has been, what, 84 years since I updated this story. I apologize. Like everyone, last year was tough. It was hard to find motivation to write. Hopefully, it won’t take me as long to update, but I can’t make any promises since I do have other fics that also need my attention.
I do not permit my work to be to be posted on any other site without my permission.
Tag list: @ccolz88-blog @katiew1973 @inlovewith3 @thevelvetseries @syms-things-5
When the paparazzi’s Valentine’s Day pictures of you and Chris were released to the media, everything was surprisingly calm. No major freak-outs. No major firestorms. The media was ecstatic at the prospect of a new celebrity couple they could fawn over. The fans of both stars appeared to rejoice at the pairing. Yes, some fans were upset and already pegged it as a PR relationship. But from what Megan had seen online, the overall consensus was that people were happy for you and Chris. It helped divert any negative attention Chris was getting for ASP.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 occurred, and the whole world seemed to stop. It was a crazy and scary time for everyone. Chris chose to quarantine in Massachusetts while you remained in Los Angeles to continue filming your daytime talk show. No longer were you filming the show on a sound stage, but now in your own home. Your crew had helped set up a special room in your home where you could film the show. It was a big adjustment. Especially since the show was in its first season.
You and Chris made sure to continue to keep the PRomance going during that time but kept it quiet and did not blast it everywhere. Which was easy since neither of you could go anywhere.
Once in a while, you both would appear on each other’s Instagram page, but it was sparingly. It was important to keep things minimal and not overblown.
The PRomance was only something to be brought up when you or Chris needed a PR boost. First-round went to Chris.
The second round would go to you. The show had been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, and a PR boost was needed to keep you in the news. Thankfully, it helped that Ellen DeGeneres was going through a scandal about certain behaviors behind the scenes. This had already given you a nice PR boost about people wanting you to take over Ellen’s spot as daytime’s new queen. However, you knew that was not enough.
You knew it was a risk asking Chris to travel during COVID, but thankfully, he agreed. He promised he would take extra precautions when traveling. Plus, Chris had already planned on traveling to L.A. to help Scott move out of his boyfriend’s apartment. In fact, it was one of Scott’s neighbors who snapped a picture of you and Chris moving boxes from the apartment, which quickly spread throughout social media. It was a nice reminder for fans and the media to view it as you two still together.
Of course, Scott knew the truth. “I love you both very much, but I neither of you can bullshit this bullshitter,” he said to Chris while you were outside arranging the boxes in the moving truck. “Now, I’m not judging either of you. I understand the Hollywood game. I simply worry about people like Mom, Carly, and Shanna getting too attached to the idea of you two dating. What’s going to happen when all this is over, huh? Hearts are going to be broken in this situation. It’s bound to happen. Someone is going to get hurt.”
“No one is going to get hurt. When the time is appropriate, I’ll explain everything to Ma, okay. She’ll understand. Carly and Shanna will understand as well,” Chris explained to his little brother, but Scott wasn’t so sure.
Scott spoke your name and asked about you. “What about her?” Chris asked, confused at where Scott was getting at.
He looked around to make sure that you weren’t nearby and said, “Chris…how can I put this lightly, but this whole PRomance is not going to end well. I just have this feeling that one of you will get hurt. If I were to place a bet, then it would on the woman outside taking the time to help me move. She is my friend too, and I don’t want to see her get hurt just because you need some PR everyone in a while to make sure people realize that you are still around since you are no longer Captain America.”
Chris was stunned by Scott’s words. “Wow. That was pretty fucking harsh.”
Scott sighed. “I…okay, that last part was fucking rude of me to say. I’m sorry. But the rest I stand by. Don’t fuck this up, Chris.” And with that, Scott walked out of the apartment and joined you in the truck.
Later that week, you and Chris would have your second official PRomance outing. It would be simple: a walk in the park.
In truth, neither wanted to stay behind to help Scott unpack his things at Chris’s house.
As Chris remembers, he held your hand “waffle style” and led you to an area on the grace that looked secluded.
“I’m tired,” Chris said, yawning and covering his eyes with his arm. You laid down next to him, keeping a good distance between each other.
“I’m tired too. I miss being around people, Chris. I’m miss doing the show in front of a live audience. It is not the same filming at home. I’m sick of Zoom,” you ranted. Lately, everything was upsetting you. It was a depressing time for everyone. But you knew that you were fortunate to still be able to do what you loved to do: entertaining people. You still had your home and a steady income. While others were not as lucky.
“I fucking hate Zoom. It makes everything so awkward,” Chris replied, and he turned his body towards you. He took off his mask since there were no other people around. You did the same.
He reached his arm towards you and began to stroke your hair. Without thinking too much, you scooted over to him and nestled under his arm. You laid your head on his chest while he continued to stroke your hair. It felt nice being close to someone. That is what you both were missing during these times, the closeness with other people. Affection. Intimacy.
You both stayed like that for a while. Neither knew how long time passed until Chris felt buzzing in his pants. It was his phone, and most likely Scott calling him.
“Scott?” you confirmed, looking up at Chris.
He reached for his phone, and low and behold, it was Scott texting that he needed help.
“We should get back, or else nothing is going to get unpacked,” said Chris with a sigh. It had been a week since Scott moved into his home and still had boxes everywhere.
“Give him a break. He is going through a breakup. It is the worst time to go through a breakup. Scott needs our support. Come on, get up,” you uttered, getting up and brushing the grass off of your clothes. You grabbed Chris’s arm and pulled him as well.
“We should stop by the liquor store and pick up some pizza on the way back,” you suggested to Chris as you both walked back to his car.
When you both made it back to Chris’s house, Scott was crying on the couch watching the ‘Notebook.’
“No!” you yelled out. “Not the ‘Notebook,’ Scott. That doesn’t help anyone.”
“I’m in mourning! Don’t judge me!” Scott yelled back. “Is that pizza?”
“You get pizza if you turn off the movie. Come on, we are going to skip the ‘Notebook’ phase of the breakup. Let’s move on to the ‘Steel Magnolias’ phase, which is a much better phase. We’ll still cry but also laugh.”
“I vote for ‘Steel Magnolias’ phase too,’ Chris piped in the pizza boxes on the kitchen counter and got out the blender. “I’ll make the margaritas.”
The park pictures were met with mixed emotions from the media and fans. One side found the pictures adorable. The other side was upset that you two were out walking the streets during these trying times. Unfortunately, it appeared that the critical side was louder this time around.
Thankfully, the negative press didn’t hinder you from winning your first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. By July, and after a long time of delays, A Starting Point was finally launched to decent reviews. Chris was happy. You were happy. Neither of you knew where to go from there. Would the PRomance come to an end? Was it still needed since both of you got what you wanted out of the arrangement? Or was it something you both were willing to still put on?

sunburnt
pairing: obi-wan kenobi x reader (gender neutral; no y/n)
warnings: none i think! some tension and some fluff
summary: turns out obi-wan is susceptible to sunburns... among other things.
also posted on ao3
this started out as a simple blurb for an established relationship but i decided to spice things up with a bit of yearning. i love flirty obi-wan. let's pretend sunblock exists in star wars (i couldn't find evidence that it doesn't). enjoy.
Tattooine was hot.
That was the main information you had gathered from your short stint to the desolate, sandy planet alongside Obi-Wan. He’d been there before, back when his padawan was just a boy, but this was your first time visiting the planet, and you hoped it’d be the last. Sweltering heat from two suns was not your cup of tea, especially in thick Jedi robes.
Now back on your ship, and thanking the Maker for the coldness of space, you took time to relax, soaking all the events of the day. You had been sent to collect information on a bounty hunter the Council had taken interest in, and unfortunately came back with little that would help in their search. You had done all you could, though, and that was enough to set your mind at ease for now. The exhaustion had begun to set into your bones, and all you really wanted to do was crawl into bed for a good night of sleep. You had seven hours of the trip back to Coruscant, so you supposed you’d only get a few hours for a nap at most.
As you settled into the co-pilot seat for the trip back, your eyes wandered over to your partner’s, which was currently focused on making the jump into hyperspace. Obi-Wan wasn’t fond of flying, no, but he could feel your weariness beginning to creep in and took over the job without mentioning it. Always so thoughtful. You smiled as your gaze traveled over his form, affection radiating from you.
“See something you like?” Your partner commented, throwing a playful smirk your way.
“Perhaps,” you paused, holding back a snicker once you realized how red his skin had become. “Although I must say, I prefer my men medium rare rather than well-done.” Obi-Wan scoffed at your joke, clearly not amused at all, probably because of his burnt state.
“How is it that you’re completely fine?” He tossed you an accusatory glance, crossing his arms, bringing a smile to your lips. A strand of hair fell in front of his face, something which he was far too annoyed to fix immediately, refusing his hands to fall back into their common tick of running through his golden, shaggy locks. Despite it all, he looked so effortlessly handsome in his grumpy state.
“I did offer sunblock, but somebody was too stubborn to take it,” you shrugged. “And you’re quite gingery. Comes with the genes I suppose.” Obi-Wan grumbled under his breath and slid back into his seat, tossing his head away from you. The ship went quiet, the rumble of the engine the only thing breaking the silence until you spoke again.
“Oh, Obi, don’t be like that,” you cooed, rising from your seat to stand by him. You placed a gentle hand against his cheek, some of the tension melting off him at your touch. Your self-control was slipping, and you were slowly falling off that cliff, beginning to drown in all the affections you held deep in your heart for the Jedi. Basking in his returned warmth, you could feel it radiating off of his aura. His Force reaching out to just brush yours. It made you shiver, pulling away. “Some bacta cream should ease the pain, I’ll grab the med kit.”
As you busied yourself, trying to push down all the feelings threatening to swallow you up, you fumbled and dropped the med kit on the floor. You sighed, screwing your eyes shut in a futile attempt to center yourself. Harmless, light-hearted flirting? You could handle it. It was some of your favorite banter with Obi-Wan, the closest you'd get to what you really wanted. However, battling internally with this deep-set attachment to your dear friend was not any easier when he gave off little emotions like just before, only confirming he felt the same as you. So badly you wanted to give in, confess all the little things swimming in your brain that had to do with Obi-Wan, but there was the fear attached to it. The little pocket of fear that held on for dear life to all your fantasies, wondering what if what if what if. Although over your training and knightship you had found several qualms with the strict Jedi code, you had simply pushed it all down, because that’s what Jedi were meant to do. Even if you didn’t like it. That’s the sacrifice you were sworn to make.
It felt like ten years had passed after you packed the med-kit back up, having retrieved the cream and returning to the cockpit. You found that Obi-Wan had set the ship to autopilot for the long trip back, leaning back in the pilot chair, his eyebrows drawn together, surely at the perpetual heat on his face. As you made your way in front of him, he simply spread his legs to make room for you in front of him. It was your turn to have heat settle on your cheeks. One of his eyes popped open, a cheeky smile overtaking his face. You could've passed out.
No words were shared between the two of you, his annoyingly charming grin saying enough. You bit your lip and took his chin between your thumb and forefinger to tilt his face up to yours. He relaxed his features again and allowed your fingers to peruse his skin, gently massaging the cold cream in. The smallest of groans rumbled in his chest, and you involuntary squeezed his chin just a bit tighter in response.
“You are a life-saver, my darling.” He hummed, eyes opening from his relaxed state to watch you. Only a few seconds passed before you finished, his gaze inevitably meeting yours. You could’ve melted right then, and, in fact, it seemed as though your thoughts did, and came pouring out of your mouth.
“You get all freckly in the sun,” your voice was soft. “It’s cute.”
“You think I’m cute?” He tilted his head ever so slightly, chin now escaping your fingers. You didn’t reply, instead focusing very intently on wiping your fingers on the thigh of your pant-leg. Suddenly, Obi-Wan’s hand caught yours as it moved to screw on the cap lid. “My lips are feeling a bit dry, sweet one, if you don’t mind.” Words couldn’t make themselves known if you tried, utter putty in your Jedi’s hands as he took your thumb, pressing the smallest of dollops onto it, and bringing it to his lips. You took over, almost as a reflex, gently pressing the cream into his only slightly dry lips, not nearly suffering enough to need treatment. His eyes held your attention ever-so purposefully as he still held your hand, warm within his gentle grip. He pressed a kiss to the pad of your thumb, then kissing your knuckles, curling your fingers through the spaces between his. “I should make you blush more often, it’s beautiful on you.”
The tension between the two of you in the few moments of quiet that followed next was palpable, your auras so close to touching that the only possible reaction was to fully envelop each other in that warmth, in each other’s affections. Whatever bravery that was stored away for battles and enemies possessed you suddenly as you leaned forward and captured Obi-Wan’s lips with your own. He made a surprised, but clearly content noise, reciprocating the act almost immediately. His gentle touch travelled from your hand to both of his arms sliding around your waist, pulling you now onto his lap. Your own hands found themselves in his hair, tangled up in the golden locks you adored from only afar for so long.
Neither of you could tell how long it took until you had to come up for air, breathing heavily and looking at each other as you processed what had just occurred. The crinkles around Obi-Wan’s eyes appeared as he smiled, just taking you in and taking in the warmth of finally letting all the bottled-up feelings escape. It was cathartic. Comforting. How could attachment be so forbidden when it felt like this? Trying so hard to constrain your emotions was so stressful, responsible for quite the amount of tension that locked up your shoulders and racked your brain when you were trying to sleep. To be able to let the positive ones flow so freely released you of some of this, gave you some sort of relief and the most clarity you had felt in a while. Obi-Wan had already been your rock, your best friend for years, but this intimacy you had craved for so long felt like it could heal every aching bone in your body. Every aching hole in your heart after seeing years of war.
“What are you thinking about, angel?” The words coming from his mouth were sweet saccharine, swirling deep into your soul and soothing any nerves that may have been left over from moments before.
“You,” you paused reaching up to toy with the ends of his hair. “What this means for us now.”
“This,” he mused, tapping his fingers against your hip. “This means everything to me. And I will risk everything I have just to be able to have a taste of this once again.” He leaned forward to press a chaste kiss to the corner of your mouth, lasting just for a second before he chuckled softly against your skin. “If I had known that it took a sunburn for this to happen, I would have flung myself into the nearest sun a long time ago."

Come to me
masterlist
previous chapter: 21
PART 21.5 - next
Summary. After what happened in a relationship in the past, you found it difficult to trust someone with the gentleman image. ‘Gentleman’ seems like merely a concept and it was probably impossible for someone to be a genuine one. Now that you’re stuck with the number one gentleman at campus for a group project, how would you cope with the one and only Joshua Hong?
Genre. College!au, non-idol!au / friends to lover
Pairing. Joshua x y/n x S.Coups
WC / warnings. 2k / soft makeout sesh (can you call it that when no tongues involved??? or maybe its more like pecks session)
TAGLIST. @samemagicpoint @unravellyn @nonuuu @seventeeneration @skylions-den @wooziverse @infinitemoods — [ send ask or dm if you’re interested to be added in the list! ]
You found yourself being confused, sitting on a couch in a corner of a barbershop, flipping page after page of an outdated magazine mindlessly. Sometimes you stole a glance towards a man whose hair was getting cut and dyed. The man who dragged you there and made you accompany him. The reflection of him in the mirror threw a big smile at you.
"How do I look?" he asked as soon as he and you walked out of the barbershop.
"Just looking like S.Coups. What do you expect me to say?" You chuckled.
Grinning, he casually put his arm around your barely clothed shoulder. The direct contact to your skin simply got you flustered. This was the day you regret ever purchasing a skimpy top with spaghetti strap.
Early in the morning, a friend of yours, Somi, came crashing at your place, forcing you to go out with her. She even dug your closet to find an outfit that was not your everyday wear. And that was how the long forgotten floral sleeveless top was found. You cursed why it was found in peak summer season like this. It just made Somi so eager encouraging you to wear it. She even prepared a pair of jeans, mules, and a handbag that would match the top, according to her. And you can't say no when she looked at you with her pleading eyes.
"We will look awesome, Unnie. You see, the color of our top mixes so well together. We have to take pictures. I promise this cafe has the best ambience. You should update your insta, your feed is so dull because you shitpost too much on Twitter," she excitedly rambled.
You never wanted to go home so bad after Somi dragged you here and there until noon. The hot weather quite bothered you, especially that you felt more exposed than usual. Usually you would have your outer whenever you wore sleeveless shirt. Today was an exception because Somi hurried you and you couldn't grab an outer from the closet.
When Somi accidentally spilled some coffee and you may or may not have purposely wiped your hand that got chocolate sauce on your shirt, you thought it was a good chance to buy new clothes. The baby sister rushed you to the closest store, but you were wrong to think you could choose yourself. Because she immediately took 2-3 pieces of another sleeveless top even with spaghetti strap, pushed you to the changing room, and when you were done, she went straight to the cashier and paid the bill.
Wandering around the store before catching up on Somi, you intended to buy some outerwear. But your hands stopped as you were bewildered when someone called you. And it turned out to be Seungcheol shopping by himself. That was how Somi ditched you with a lame excuse because she got overly excited to see you with a fine looking guy.
"Afternoon snack? Boba milk tea?" Seungcheol offered with his gummy smile. He surely appreciated you waiting for him for more than 60 minutes at the barbershop.
These days you found yourself hanging out with him a lot. You surely remembered how flirtatious he was the first time you met him. He was definitely one person you wanted to avoid, or at least to not hang around with that much. Because, one, he was friends with Joshua Hong, and two, you can't stand him flirting and being cringey all the time. The weird thing was now you can't say no to him. This man strangely found his way to you and somewhat won a small part of your heart.
"Or maybe not?" you said as you looked up in the sky. The sunny day had turned into cloudy as the sky got darker. It looked like it was going to rain soon. The little handbag you carried cannot even fit a little umbrella you always brought anywhere anytime. Now you were panicking, already thinking to call a taxi to go home before it rained.
"I think it's wiser to go to my place since it's closer from here. I'll take you home when the rain stops."
"Your place?" you quietly asked, looking concerned. You remembered the three of them lived together. Joshua told you in the first weeks of your internship, about Jeonghan being sulky everyday because of how loud he was when the blender was working to made smoothies aka to provide your breakfast.
You were this close to running away with a taxi as little rain drops started falling and you could feel the cool breeze against your bare skin. Unfortunately not a single vacant taxi was sighted.
"Um.. nobody’s home. Jisoo and Jeonghan are going out," he explained, as if he could read your mind. The longer you took your time contemplating, the grey shade in the sky was getting more visible. Little rain drops started getting bigger and you were running out of choices. "Come on, we don't want you to get wet, do we?" Seungcheol gently took your hand and lead the way.
Again, you can't say no and you cursed yourself for being very indecisive. All you hoped now was this wasn't a bad idea, although you already had a not so good feeling about this.
"Phew, just in time," he remarked as the two of you reached the apartment lobby when the rain suddenly fell heavily. "Let's get upstairs, dry ourselves, and I'll lend you my jacket."
You shook, reassuring him that you were okay. "I'm fine," you said, wiping off the wet trace on your arms. But as soon as you entered the living room, you couldn't deny the chilly temperature that suddenly crept up your body.
"Towel?" he offered, handing over a pink colored fabric.
You muttered thanks as you continued wiping your arms and shoulders.
"Here, wear my cardigan." He tossed a black knit-wear before heading to the pantry to make some hot drink. "Don't just stand there. Go sit on the couch, turn on the TV or something," he chuckled.
You nervously made your way to the couch and sat up straight. Soon, Seungcheol joined you with two cups of hot peppermint tea. Seeing his cardigan crumpled in your hands, he took it and helped to put it around your shoulder. "Feel better?" he asked warmly as he adjusted his seat beside you. Nodding your head, you smiled back at him.
"The rain doesn't look like it will stop soon. Let's just wait a little bit longer, okay?"
It wasn't like you have other better choices anyway. Going home by bus or taxi and get drenched in the middle? No way.
"Is there anything you want to watch?"
"Not really. Just don't trick me to watch horror movies like Joshua did."
"He did that?" He chuckled. "That was messed up, I bet."
A nervous smile was curved on your lips. You were surprised yourself that you still remembered that one time watching movie with Joshua. That was something nobody ever knew. It just slipped off your mouth when Seungcheol asked.
His choice finally was a classic, award-winning movie. Seungcheol can't keep his mouth shut throughout the movie, commenting every scene or comparing with other movies. He subtly scooted closer, and the pointing gesture which he often does eventually decreased. His loud talking also started to become quieter.
"Why?" you spoke, noticing the sudden silent.
"Nothing." His lips pursed into little grin, his eyes finding yours. "Lean on me?"
At first you were hesitant. But there was something about him that always managed to mesmerize you. His opened arms, the warm smile on his face, and his soft gaze hypnotized you. The next thing you knew was you already resting your head against the crook of his neck, his arm looping around your shoulder, his hand fixing the oversized cardigan on you. You can smell his scent. Although the perfume did not have a strong aroma, it was quite fit to your liking.
The movie was reaching the end and post credit scene. Yet none of you did anything but enjoyed the silence with each other's company. You could feel Seungcheol's hand rubbing your upper arm gently. He clearly didn't have intention to release you from his embrace. In fact, he had never wanted to be as selfish as now.
"I wish the rain stops soon," you mumbled. You tried not to squirm too much. But not fidgeting at all didn't help to deal with the current situation. You started to wonder why you just threw yourself at him.
"I wish we can stay like this," he mumbled, almost whispering.
You pretended not to hear that. Suddenly you felt his lips slightly grazed against your forehead. You flinched but you couldn't go anywhere. His arm was still around your shoulder, securing you in place.
You knew this wasn't right.
"Um, we shouldn't.." you mumbled as you squirmed trying to sit up, hoping he would loose his firm grip but to no avail.
By the time you spoke breaking the silence, Seungcheol had readjusted his position, twisting his upper body so you were trapped between his arms. The back of your head stuck against the sofa, which you wished there was no headrest there so you could have escaped from this situation. Without warning but very slowly, he rested his forehead against yours, one of his hand creeping towards your hand that had your fingers curled into a fist. His thumb gave little rubs on the back of your palm, suggesting to be more at ease and also to open up so he could hold your hand properly. You could feel his minty breath as he leaned in closer and your noses brushed each other. In a matter of a second, his lips was pressed against yours then he slightly pulled away.
"I know I shouldn't.." he slowly whispered before going for another peck. Or two, which made you unconsciously gave in and shut your eyes as he sneaked his hand to hold the side of your exposed neck. And there goes another kiss. "But your lips.." Kiss. "So soft." Kiss. "And sweet." Kiss. "I think I could taste something like strawberry." Kiss.
You had no idea what had gotten into you accepting his kisses like this. You probably forgot how to breathe. If it wasn’t for the way he always took quick pauses between his kisses, you could have suffocated yourself. Not to mention, the way he gently rubbed the back of your hand, which somehow it worked to comfort you (and you probably will hate yourself for this).
What were you even thinking? Did he lead you on? Did you lead him on?
Slowly releasing your hand, his arm then made its way to wrap around your waist before finally planting the another kiss, a bit longer than the previous ones.
As he pulled away, you slowly opened your eyes and met his. The first thing you recognized was his long lashes and the thick brows. That was the first time you were struck by how pretty he was. Still holding you close, his hand traveled to tuck some hair strands behind your ear.
"Seungcheol, I..."
"Keep it." He cut your words with another peck.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Utterly shocked by the presence of someone else, you turned your head abruptly only to find certain someone to be as surprised as you were. "Jisoo.." you mumbled his name, your eyes quivering looking at him with the rest of the guys who dropped their jaws. You hurriedly released yourself from Seungcheol's arms and stood up. Yet you didn't know what to do. Should you explain what just happened? But then what is there to explain? And why should you?
Joshua didn't speak a word after that. He just locked his fiery eyes at Seungcheol, probably waiting for him to say something. Jeonghan and the other guys were nervous at the tense situation that they wouldn't dare to open their mouths.
You took a glimpse at Seungcheol. He was just standing beside you, one hand on his waist and the other one brushing his fringe. He looked like he did nothing. As if nothing just happened.
Jeonghan initiated to break the silence. "Y/n, it's still raining outside. Mingyu will take you home. Is that alright?" he asked you softly, approaching you then very subtly and gently pulling you away from Seungcheol.
You hesitantly nodded, not sure if you could just leave without saying anything. But what would you say at this point? Once again, you stole a glimpse both at Seungcheol and Joshua and weakly said, "Okay." before Jeonghan, Soonyoung and Mingyu escorted you out.

Sharpen Your Blades - Ch.11
Summary: “What the fuck is that supposed to mean?”
The thinning of Aizawa’s patience was evident in the twitching of his brow. “If you stop asking questions, maybe I could finish explaining.
”With a huff and roll of his eyes, Katsuki glanced away from their coach.
“City Hall and the SC want us to give them more variety. We are a team solely made up of single skaters. Every year, we dominate the rankings for single skate while Shinketsu dominates the pairs, so this year both cities are being required to split their skaters evenly between singles and pairs with at least one pair coming from out top five.” There was a collective intake of breath, but no one commented, choosing instead to remain silent. “Unfortunately, for us, it’s a lot easier to switch from pairs to singles. With our male to female ratio, alpha/beta/omega ratio, and those of you actually experienced with pair skating, we’re at a disadvantage. So, I’ve decided to choose your partners for you.”
…..
Or where Katsuki and Izuku are forced to be partners so they can continue to compete, but the blood in the water may be thicker than anyone realized.

Author’s Notes: So, there's songs in this chapter! Yay! They are Never Enough by Loren Allred and Tightrope by Michelle Williams (don't @ me about them being from the Greatest Showman, I know it's trending, these songs just fit them so well). You'll notice that there are also two links, and those are to figure skating videos that are the closest to how I imagine the programs to be. If you mute the video and play the song over it, they match up pretty well. I had a really easy time finding one I liked for Izuku, but a much harder time finding an example for Katsuki. I really like Yuna Kim as a model for Izuku and Yuzuru Hanyu as a model for Katsuki, but Yuzuru's style just didn't fit what I was trying to portray in this chapter. That's okay though! Of course, I don't own the videos. They belong to their original posters and creators. Let me know if the links don't work, and I'll find a different way to share them. I hope you guys like the chapter. I had a really fun time writing it, and I can't wait to post for next week!
Chapter 11: Solo
Izuku stepped onto the ice for the first time since his injury. Terror washed through him. His heart raced in his chest. His hands shook violently. His breath quickened. He clutched at the wall to keep himself steady. A fear weighed heavy on him, fear that as soon as he let go his hip or ankle or knee would simply give out. That the break that had healed months ago would suddenly shatter apart again.
Just because he knew it was an irrational fear didn't mean he knew how to fight against it.
“Just take it slow, young Midoriya, there's no need to rush. You've been doing strength training for a few months now, but being back on the ice is a different kind of taxing,” Toshinori said close by, hands stacked on his hips while he watched Izuku all but cowering against the wall.
“I'm not getting tired. Nothing hurts yet, I'm just...” He trailed off, unwilling to admit his fear.
“Scared? I understand. That's a normal reaction after an injury as severe as yours was. I was scared too the first time I got back on the ice after my injury, but it will get easier. Like I said, take it slow. Soon enough, you'll be sprinting and jumping just like you used to, but we've got to start small first.”
“Right,” Izuku whispered, squeezing his eyes closed. They remained there for long moments, and it was only when the scent of sweet spices assaulted his nose that he was able to open his eyes again.
He found Katsuki's familiar red eyes watching him. Katsuki who's hair was pushed away from his forehead with sweat and seemed to be in the middle of a training exercise with Mr. Aizawa. Katsuki who's scent of excitement was beginning to make the rink smell startlingly like snickerdoodles.
Izuku had forgotten what Katsuki's scent smelled like when he was excited, and it made his mouth water.
Embarrassed, he ripped his eyes away. Once upon a time, he had been the reason for that smell. He was desperately jealous of whoever or whatever had provoked such a reaction in his old friend. Whatever it was though, it had nothing to do with a useless deku like him. Maybe one day very far away, he could be the reason again, but he had a long way and a lot of work before then.
Swallowing, he struggled to stand up straight and push carefully along the wall. With each step and each second of feeling Katsuki's eye on him, he felt his confidence slowly inflate.
.....
November Week 2
Izuku stared down at his phone, mouth turned down in a frown as he waited impatiently for Katsuki to respond, but the little icon telling him that his partner had even seen the message remained blank. It was strange to say the least. Katsuki was the most punctual creature he knew and had ever known. The only time he'd ever skipped class or been late for something were times when his rut had hit suddenly or he'd been uncharacteristically sick. To put it simply, Izuku could count on one hand how many times Katsuki had missed something.
He was only holding up three fingers.
"Let's just go, Deku, I don't think he's going to come tonight," Uraraka suggested, still sitting in the same place on the bleachers that she'd been sitting since she and Kaminari had followed him from his apartment. Team practice had been early that morning instead of later, and the pair of omegas had made the unanimous decision to have an omegas' day. So far, they'd had lunch where the pair had pointed out every marginally attractive alpha to cross their paths, gotten mani-pedis, gone window shopping for potential Christmas presents, looked at venues for the team Christmas party, and gone into a sex store specifically catoring to omegas with a wide range of heat aids. Kaminari had been adamant about going in when they passed by, and after more than a little prodding from both of his friends, Izuku had agreed.
Now, a black bag was tucked away in his gym bag with an item that made him both hot around the collar and simultaneously hot between the legs. The item excited him, but he was loathe to admit that to either of them. He'd only ever had a few encounters of the sexual nature, and those hadn't been very good. Other than that, he really didn't think much about his pleasure. He didn't even really masturbate which had seemed to send the omegas into a frenzy. There had been so many noises of astonishment and disbelief from both Kaminari and Uraraka that he'd hid in the lingerie racks for the better part of a half hour until they'd coaxed him out with the promise of ice cream and figure skater themed lingerie sets.
He hadn't thought his lack of sexual appetite was all that strange. He'd been on suppressants for years. Katsuki had been the focus of all his attention since they'd been kids. He'd always just been more focused on figure skating. He wasn't the only one in the world who felt the same. The asexual spectrum existed for a reason, and he was a staunch believer that he was of that spectrum.
Uraraka and Kaminari had followed him back to the rink, fully intending to drag him away after for a sleepover and movie night.
"Yeah, man, let's just go. What's the point of waiting around any longer? We're just wasting time at this point," Kaminari piped up, head hanging back between his shoulders as he leaned against the wall. "This is just typical Bakugou. He doesn't really consider other people's feelings, you know?"
The comment set Izuku's teeth on edge, and with effort, he unclenched his jaw.
Izuku wasn't particularly annoyed. He loved his friends and loved the sense of community that being with the other omegas gave him, but he wished they would just stop talking. He tried very hard to remind himself that no one had known Katsuki as long as he had, and for a good portion of the time they had known him, Katsuki had hiding behind a mask.
Releasing a quiet sigh, Izuku smiled and said, "He'll be here. He just must have gotten tied up with something with his class. He'll be here."
Uraraka smiled, but he could tell that she wanted to sigh. Maybe she even wanted to roll her eyes. "Will you skate for us while we wait then? If he doesn't get here in time, at least you'll have had a chance to practice. You don't have to skate your program, but maybe something else?"
For a moment, Izuku just considered her idea. He smiled. "Sure. That sounds good." Connecting his phone to the speaker that Toshinori left in the rink for them to use on their off time, Izuku quickly found the song he wanted.
.....
"Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Katsuki hissed as he tore across the street, flipping off a car as they slammed on their brakes and subsequently on their horn. He couldn't stop though. He was fucking late. Really, really fucking late! He hated being late, always had and always would. Being late for his nightly practice with Izuku just pissed him off all the more. The worst part of it all was that his phone had died sometime during the day so he didn't even have a way of letting his partner know that he'd be late.
The situation had been unavoidable though, and Katsuki swallowed passed the thick lump in his throat.
Two of his students had gotten hurt, and memory of the blood splattered ice made bile rise in the back of his throat. He had turned his back for a single second to correct the form of the new five-year-old he'd taken on. Just a moment had been all they needed. Two of his students had tried the same lift Katsuki had tried with Mina off ice, and just like her, their foot had slipped. The blade had sliced deep into their would be partner's thigh and started gushing blood before either of them had really realized what had happened. There had been an ambulance and paperwork and worried parents and Katsuki trying to keep his head on straight in the mayhem. Now, the adrenaline was wearing off, and he could feel himself crashing. Crashing hard.
There was only blood and ice and screaming and green curls and pain twisting Izuku's face and pain twisting Katsuki's chest. He was having a hard time separating the two memories, and while he knew that was dangerous, he didn't know how to stop it.
So, he ran. Ran to catch Izuku before he left the rink, and ran to stave off the no doubt mount panic attack.
Out of the corner of his eye as he passed a store front, he caught the flash of forest green fabric. Screeching to a stop, he backtracked to the window. Someone had dressed mannequins in winter wear. It was clear that each had a theme and that each set of clothing had been handmade. One wore all pink. One wore woodland colors with a bright orange fox-eared beanie. Another was dressed from head to toe in sparkly purple fabric. The one that had caught his attention was the most subdued with the beanie as the only spot of color.
The beanie was forest green like the gloves he'd bought for Izuku. Floppy white lined bunny ears lay across the mannequin’s forehead with little tassels that hung on either side of the mannequin's cheeks. Minutes ticked by as Katsuki kept staring, imagining green locks poking out from beneath the edge as he tugged on the tassels to pull a smile from its wearer. Green eyes going wide as he handed it over, actually presenting his omega with a gift face to face. A whispered, "Thank you," as round freckled cheeks reddened-
"Evening, young man."
If Katsuki could have literally jumped out of his skin, he would have. Jerking his head towards the voice, he stared at the old man that stood in the doorway of the shop. He hadn't noticed, but unlike a lot of shops in the city, this one seemed to be part of a small home. The wood around the window was weathered and old with peeling robin's egg blue paint. Swallowing, Katsuki tried to find his words. If he'd just been staring into this man's home, it was no wonder he'd come out to find out what Katsuki's doing. "Evening, old man," he finally replied gruffly.
A smile cracked across the old man's ancient face, and he leaned out to see into the front window. "My wife's work. She knits all year long with the best yarn she can find so that alphas like yourself can gift something special to their omegas. Or betas, of course. Times are changing. It's more common to see alphas or omegas marrying betas or even their same dynamic. I think that's lovely." His smile only grew as Katsuki blinked at him nonplussed. "Sorry, I tend to ramble. My wife says it's a problem, but I don't think so. Did you have a special someone in mind? Would you like to take a closer look?"
"I'm... late... to meet... with the omega I'm courting," he said haltingly, unable to resist the other alpha's probing. That happened sometimes with the older alphas. It felt like a sense of community to him, one he resisted, but appreciated when he actually took their unsolicited advice.
"You're only getting more late, but this young omega might like a gift in return. It's not an apology, but it could be the start of one."
"I-"
"If you didn't want to take a closer look, you would have already walked away. You don't have to buy anything, but you could keep it in mind."
Sound logic, and with a sigh, Katsuki nodded. Only a few minutes later he had bought the beanie, and a few minutes after being gushed over by the old man's old omega wife, he was sprinting even faster than before. He felt lighter with the beanie clutched in his hand though, and the only thing in his chest was the anticipation of handing the gift over to Izuku.
It felt like there had been a lot of helping hands in his courting of Izuku, but it also felt like he'd been squandering the chances. With any luck, this would push the scales back in his favor. He hadn't heard anything else about the date Izuku had gone on, and sadistically, he hoped it hadn't gone well for the alpha.
When Katsuki finally shoved into the rink, he let out an explosive sigh of relief. Music played through the rink, and he seemed to have come in right at the crescendo. Not only that, but he immediately recognized the song.
' All the shine of a thousand spotlights/all the stars we steal from the night sky/will never be enough- '
Slowly, Katsuki stepped out enough for him to fully see the rink.
There was Izuku, occupying the whole rink with his presence if not his body. Whenever Izuku skated -really skated, not what he did in practice- it was impossible to look away from him. And in that moment, it was even more so.
Out on the ice, Izuku moved more elegantly than ever. There was no wobble in his stance, no hesitation in his jumps. There was a languidness to his movements that made something deep in Katsuki's chest ache to join him. And then he saw the look on Izuku's face.
He clutched the beanie even more tightly. "Why does he look so sad?" he whispered to himself.
He nearly jumped out of his skin for the second time that night when he heard Uraraka speak up from beside him. He hadn't seen her or Kaminari on the bench, too absorbed in his partner.
"I think you know, Bakugou. It might not be obvious to him, but you and I aren't dense."
On the ice, Izuku lifted his open palms toward the ceiling, staring up at them longingly. ' Towers of gold are still too little/these hands could hold the world but it'll/never be enough/never be enough- '
He watched Izuku until the end of the song before going to take the seat between Kaminari and Izuku's bag. As discreetly as possible, trying to make it look like he was getting into his own bag, he carefully slid the beanie into Izuku's bag.
Then he went to grab for his skates. An image flashed passed his eyes. Crimson blood on stark white ice. Fear and pain in forest green eyes. Tears on freckled cheeks. A young girl’s hand clutched in his as he used his pheromones to calm her.
"Kacchan, you made it!"
Sucking in a sharp breath and doing his best to calm the sharp rise and fall of his chest, he glanced at Izuku leaning over the wall. The omega's cheeks were flushed, pushed up high on his face from the force of his smile.
"I was worried you weren't going to."
There was a subtle undertone to his words, something that went along with the song that was now repeating through the speakers. Katsuki swallowed, and squeezed his hands into fists to keep them from shaking. He couldn't practice with Izuku tonight, couldn't touch him, not in his state. He'd fuck up. Make a mistake. Get them both hurt. He shouldn’t have come.
He pulled his hands away from his bag. "Had an emergency during lessons. One of my students got hurt. Phone died." His sentences were clipped, short, just fragments that lacked any of his usual harsh tone.
"Did you see my program? It's what I had been planning for this year before Mr. Aizawa's announcement."
"Most of it. Missed the first part."
Izuku's smile never faded, but it softened marginally. He pushed away towards the rink entrance, and slid on his guards before moving over to Katsuki to crouch in front of him.
"Do you want to talk about your student? Were they seriously injured?"
Katsuki felt his mouth begin to twitch into a sneer. He forced it down, ignoring the feeling of two extra pairs of eyes on them. This moment felt private, and he wished they were alone so he could just open his mouth and spill his guts. Instead, he just said, "No."
Still, izuku smiled. He didn't stand as he asked, "Will you skate for my blog? My readers are always asking for more videos of you. I'll stay on this side and just record. Can't trust these two to get the proper shots."
Katsuki hadn't known Izuku had talked about him on his blog, and the knowledge made his alpha purr contentedly. The meaning behind Izuku's words took a moment longer to hit. He was offering him an easy way out. Time on the ice alone and an excuse to not be on the ice together for the night. He didn't know if Izuku was doing it on purpose or simply just wanted to let him skate, but the thought sent a ripple of affection through him.
"Yeah, sure, whatever," he finally said, yanking his skates from his bag.
…..
Izuku could tell that something was wrong, and he could tell it had something to do with the student that had gotten hurt. He didn't know exactly what was wrong, what was going on inside that blonde head. If he could have opened up Katsuku's brain and climbed in, he would have done it when they were twelve. No, younger. When they'd first met.
But he couldn't. They're relationship was only just getting better, and he didn't think he was allowed to or should push for a more complete answer.
The ice was the only thing he could offer. Still, he was surprised that Katsuki had so easily taken it, but he was thankful that he had.
Standing on the side of the rink while Katsuki queued up the music and pushed out to middle ice, Izuku felt himself grow giddy with anticipation. While he was desperate to feel Katsuki holding him close like he always did while they skated, he'd been waiting for a long time to get a video of Katsuki that wasn't a competition video.
He was almost vibrating as the first cords of the music played through the rink. When the singing began, he sucked in a breath.
' Some people long for a life that is simple and planned/tied with a ribbon/some people won't sail the sea cause they're safer on land/to follow what's written/but I'd follow you to the great unknown- '
' Please, let me not be imagining this ,' Izuku silently prayed every time Katsuki's eyes met his across the ice.
Katsuki's programs were usually sharp and energized and to the point. He was beautiful and skillful when he skated, but he'd never been one for delicacy. Katsuki was almost savage when he skated, and Izuku loved that about him.
Now though, Katsuki was skating like he was dancing ballet, all strong purposeful movements. All flourishing hand placements and arm sweeps.
And the look on his face was one of painful longing. ' So I risk it all just to be with you/And I risk it all for this life we choose- '
Behind Izuku, his attention was drawn to his friends as they whispered.
"Is it weird that they chose songs from the same movie?" Kaminari asked, voice just above a whisper.
Uraraka snorted. "I think it's weirder that Bakugou has watched The Greatest Showman more than anything else."
Izuku allowed for just a bare second to glance over his shoulder at them. "Shh," he hissed before swiveling back. He fell back into the skating without trouble, but something in the back of his brain wanted to tell his friends to leave. This program felt far too personal for them to be watching. Not only that, but Izuku almost wanted to be the only one to ever have seen it. He wanted to have this part of Katsuki all to himself even if he knew he'd never be allowed such a thing.
When Katsuki glided over, cheeks glowing and eyes looking more grounded than they had before, he asked, "Is that what you were hoping for?"
Staring Katsuki straight in the eye, he whispered, "More. Far more."

Soulmate September - Day 3
Day 3 - You have an animal that only you and your soulmate can see.
Pairing(s): Romantic Patmile, familial Moxiety, hinted familial Anxceit [if you choose to read it that way really]
TWs: Slight unsympathetic Virgil? (mostly just him being a moody teenager honestly)
--
Dr. Emile Picani hadn’t expected the state of his 5PM appointment.
As he began his rendition of the classic opener he usually used to introduce himself to new patients, the man’s sniffling caught his attention. Abandoning the theatrics, Emile cautiously approached the man, fearful of startling him. The doctor’s soul animal, a playful fox, drifted into its usual position around Emile’s shoulders in order to provide extra comfort as he gently knelt at eye level with the sitting man.
“Patton Sanders?”, Emile began, hoping to confirm this was indeed his patient, “Are you able to confirm your name for me?”
The man chanced looking up from the floor long enough for Emile to feel his heart shatter; his hazel eyes were red ringed and burdened by a cascade of tears, his purple tinted hair showed signs of being pulled at, possibly through a nervous tic or frustration. Perhaps both. His minty blue shirt and old grey cardigan were rumpled, bunched unevenly in the telltale signs that the sleeves had been rolled and unrolled, continuously toyed with. Emile concluded that with the state of most of the man’s attire within arm’s reach - the hair, the cardigan, his too-tight pulled laces, the small pinched peaks in his pants’ fabric - that the man had a need to occupy his hands when stressed.
“I’m-”, the man started, but choked as a sob rattled out of him, “Sorry-!”
“No, no, take your time. No sorrys needed.”, Emile assured him gently, waiting for the man to answer him.
“I-I’m Patton, yeah..”, Patton whimpered, sniffling as he wiped his face. “I’m sorry, I-! I wanted to be more-!”, he sobbed, “M-more put together than this but I-!”
Before the poor soul could work himself up even more, Emile gently held up a hand, noting that the man was squinting to make it out. It was then he noticed the man had a tell tale red line where glasses would sit, but weirdly, he wasn’t wearing them... Well, at least he wasn’t about to panic himself even more, Emile would question that later once Patton was comfortable.
“Patton, don’t you fret. There’s no shame in having a bad day, especially when you’re here to do something about it. That’s a big ol’ heffalump sized step!”, he assured Patton, who seemed to manage a smile through the tears, prompting Emile to test out his latest hypothesis, “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
Patton let out the tiniest, but most sincere and wonderful laugh. Even if it still sounded like his heart was breaking, Emile momentarily found himself mesmerised at the sound.
“Ah, I.. I’m sorry, Dr. Picani, I just-!”, he sniffed as he wiped away the last few tears, “I love Winnie The Pooh..”.
Emile triumphantly returned Patton’s smile, standing up and softly petting he fox still curled around him as he spoke,
“That’s good, ‘cause I’ve got a hundred acres worth of Winnie The Pooh knowledge right up here!”, he tapped his head to make his point, noting Patton squinting again. Ah. Right.
“Say Pat, if I can call you that?”, Emile asked, earning a nod, “Do you need contacts or-”
“Oh.”, Patton’s face fell as he lifted his glasses from his pocket, revealing their cracked lenses, “They um… they broke on the way over. I was in such a hurry I didn’t think and I sat on them…. Jeez, I never think-!”
“Pat, stay with us. It’s okay. I’ve got a pair like those in my desk drawer, maybe you can tell me what’s wrong while I go get you them?”
Patton nodded and began to relay his troubles to the kindly therapist; “I adopted my son, Virgil, a couple of years ago, coming up for three now, and everything was alright at first. We got along, we really bonded even though they told me it might be a challenge with him being older than most kids at the time. He was fifteen when I adopted him, but it didn’t matter to me, he was just… well, I guess he was just the one kid I felt a connection to of all the ones I’d met...”, he gestured to his dyed hair, “I even dyed my hair to match his, so he wouldn’t feel so lonely...”
Emile nodded, silently admiring Patton’s dedication as he checked in the drawer while his little foxy friend rustled around in his many trinkets and figurines stored there, “He sounds like a really lucky boy. But I take it things have been strained recently?”
An exhausted, sorrowful sigh let Emile know he was on the right track. Patton confirmed it, “Yeah. I don’t know exactly when the shift happened, but recently his birth father’s trying to get involved in his life, and Virgil doesn’t want him hanging around, but-”, feeling himself get worked up, Patton took a deep breath to try and calm down, earning an impressed smile from the doctor, “But whenever I try to step in and help, Virgil just gets mad at me. And recently he doesn’t even talk to me or want to do anything together anymore. And just as I dropped him off with his friends before I came here he..”, Patton inhaled sharply once again, fighting tears, “He told meI embarrass him. That I baby him and dote on him too much, and I get too involved in his business, but I just want back the happy times we had! But now I don’t know what to do anymore, Dr.Picani, I...”
Emile’s hands found the spare glasses at the same time he swore he heard the tiny splintered shards of Patton’s heart break apart, “I must be such an awful dad…!”
The kind doctor shared a sorrowful glance with his little fox friend, ushering him to sit atop his shoulders once more as he came back over to Patton and knelt in front of him again,
“Patton, teenagers are fickle things; they’re old enough to understand frustrating, depressing realities but still too young to fully comprehend them or understand why things are the way they are. And unfortunately, sometimes they lash out at the people closest to them.”, with a steady hand and a careful avoidance of jabbing Patton with the ends, Emile put on the glasses for Patton, “You’ll have to give him his space for a while, but don’t you go thinking you worrying about your son is a bad thing, or something to be ashamed of.”
Patton blinked as he adjusted to the glasses; they were close enough that he could see Dr.Picani, his gaze fixed on the gentle doctor. “Some people care too much,”, Picani began to quote, “I think that’s called-”
