This is disgusting how white supremacy has infiltrated damn near every society on this planet. You got to eat at a restaurant and you want to be assured you will be treated with respect. And instead you find your check identifying you as “black and ugly.” You couldn’t wrap your head to think this would be normal and ok and when you confront the people who did this, why? Their simple answer was as an identifier. Like that’s ok. Like your bias and prejudice is ok to stamp all over me. Like you are so privileged your boss will co-sign on this. This is our everyday experience and no it doesn’t matter what language you speak Black people are disrespected. It is a hard lesson we have learned all of our lives. And now it’s time to tear the systems down that have created world wide systematic racism and oppression.
