The separation the most vulnerable humans seeking asylum continues. Never forget migration throughout history is about individuals taking proactive steps to improve the lives of their family members. I’ve witnessed the violence up close in Central America and Mexico and simply put it is systemic, personal, intimate and extremely brutal. For many escaping and seeking asylum is their only choice at survival. Let’s not forget that last year was the most bloody in the more than decade long Drug War in Mexico.
