I am officially calling for more sci-fi AUs/AUs with Sci-fi elements! Stop pretending the Core doesn't exist in Undertale, our whimsical game has Sci-fi elements and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't!

FELLAS. IT'S HERE.
This is Si, speaking! For those of you who don't know me, this an alt blog of @the-selfinsert
I decided recently that to clear up confusion, I should make a separate blog for my Undertale AU, Shattered Kingdom.
So, on here, you can ask questions to me about the AU, ask any of my OCs for the au, or ask any of the OG cast who are a part of the au.
You can still ask these things to my OG blog, but this is probably where you should put those just for the sake of organization.
So yeah, go crazy with it!

okay i was wrong im not done hahahaHAHAHAHAHAH
IM IN LOVE WITH SANS AUS SO CRK WHY CANT I MIX THEM???
Dream sans and PV Swap clothes!! (roles etc) Plus add on to fit each other’s themes, for Dream’s souljam, there’s a apple leaf on it, and his souljam shape is a little sharper to fit a star. for the hat i added a little curl which dream orginally has in his crown. As for PV..the pin that binds his scarf together is his souljam. His bow has a little eye on it for him to see too!! (when carried on his back)
spot the differences!!
Im totally okay, im so fine, im so so so normal about this, its not like i found ink as mystic flour i started thinking about it and started to tweak over. Will i maybe a au? Maybe, yes absolutely. I’m so normal

ALL text about the prophecy
compiled for convenience
Ralsei's legend:
Once upon a time, a LEGEND was whispered among shadows. It was a LEGEND of HOPE. It was a LEGEND of DREAMS. It was a LEGEND of LIGHT. It was a LEGEND of DARK. This is the legend of DELTA RUNE.
For millenia, LIGHT and DARK have lived in balance, Bringing peace to the WORLD. But if this harmony were to shatter… a terrible calamity would occur. The sky will run black with terror and the land will crack with fear. Then, her heart pounding… The EARTH will draw her final breath. Only then, shining with hope… Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' edge. A HUMAN, A MONSTER, And a PRINCE FROM THE DARK. Only they can seal the fountains and banish the ANGEL'S HEAVEN. Only then will balance be restored, and the WORLD saved from destruction. Today, the FOUNTAIN OF DARKNESS- The geyser that gives this land form- Stands tall at the center of the kingdom. But recently, another fountain has appeared on the horizon… And with it, the balance of LIGHT and DARK begins to shift…
Gerson's explanation in Undertale:
That's the Delta Rune, the emblem of our kingdom. The Kingdom… of Monsters. That emblem actually predates written history. The original meaning has been lost to time… The triangles symbolize us monsters below, and the winged circle above symbolizes the 'angel', from the prophecy…
Legend has it, an 'angel' who has seen the surface will descend from above and bring us freedom. Lately, the people have been taking a bleaker outlook… Callin' that winged circle the 'Angel of Death'. A harbinger of destruction, waitin' to 'free' us from this mortal realm…
The church's stained glasses [brackets r me]:
the prophecy, which whispers among the shadows.
the legend of this world. deltarune.
a world basked in purest light. beneath it, grew eternal night.
if fountains freed, the roaring cries. and titans shape from darkened eyes.
the light and dark, both burning dire. a countdown to the earth's expire.
but lo, on hopes and dreams they send. three heroes at the world's end.
the first hero. the cage, with human soul and parts!
the second hero. the girl, with hope crossed on her heart.
love [LOVE?] finds its way to the girl.
the third hero. the prince, alone in deepest dark
and last, was the girl. at last, was the girl.
they'll hear the ring of heaven's call.
they'll see the tail of hell take crawl.
the knight which makes with blackened knife.
shall duel with heroes strife by strife.
the last prophecy. the story's end.
to save the worlds, there is only one way.
and then. when all hope is lost for the tale.
the final tragedy unveils.
[broken by susie]
only then, will the worlds be saved.
unconnected:
the lord of screens cleaved red by blade.
the flower man, trapped in asylum.
the angel, banished, will finally meet with its desire.
unused:
axe carved by the tortoise's grand hammer.
coldwater fell from the top of the sky. [with an illustration of snowflakes]
for to save the worlds, we last of all say
hymn:
Heaven knows the story that we've born from our hearts
Of the shadows cutting deep and the heroes that save us
Heaven knows the beauty of the soul, and we weep
To the majesty and pray we not forget the tale of DELTARUNE
Lord of the Hammer/Gerson battle dialogue:
Yes, the old tale, based upon the prophecy…
Chapter 1, The March of the Dark King.
The heroes defeat the king and stop the dragon.
Chapter 2, The City of the Shining.
The heroes do battle in chariots to save the Queen.
Chapter 3, The Isles of Northernlight.
The heroes travel among the islands and catch a glimpse of a lost land.
Chapter 4, The Trials of the Holy Hammer.
A great smith gives the heroes a terrible weapon.
Chapter 5, The Field of Pink and Gold.
The vast garden is charred in an inferno of jealousy.
…What happens next? Geheheh! Who knows There was only one more chapter… After that, It all stopped.
The ones who could write the next, the youth, the pen was lying there for them to pick up. To make the next page… they never did.
But you, my dear? I see a story lit up in your eyes… Burnin' bright… Burnin' black… Burnin' up everything. So… how do you think it all ends? No, how do you want it to end?
Before, you said you fancied yourself a hero, didn't ya? Hmmm… That's real interesting. Now, I don't know much about "heroes"… … But i know that whatever ya call 'em, there is someone. Someone who'll never give up trying to do the right thing, no matter what.
But… there is one thing that can overwrite the dark. A white pen, known as hope. Miss! I believe… this is what you hold.
dragon blazers:
-theres an ice palace
-theres an "evil route"
-spells called iceshock, fireshock
-underground level with creepy, repeating music
-a sister gets cursed
-boss called silver drake
-theres a mage
-gerson says susie is the dragon
-theres a secret door in a maze in the ice palace. noelle couldnt find the key to get in.
songs that might or might not have been written by dess:
When the demon heart is crying and the blood is gushing bright, raise up your bat for the burning fight
When your hope is slowly dying and your future's lost its rights, raise up your bat and face the fright. Let's knock 'em dead into the night!
Come follow me into the dark with your heart as the ark which shall guide you the way
Because I'm with you in the dark with your heart as my mark which shall guide you the way
When the light is running low
And the shadows start to grow
And the places that you know
Seem like fantasy
There's a light inside your soul
That’s still shining in the cold
With the truth
The promise in our hearts
Don't forget
I'm with you in the dark
Entry 17, just because:
DARK DARKER YET DARKER

Hey, thought guys. For those of you who have seen some of my previous posts about my OCs: do you think you'd be interested in being able to directly ask them things? Like you could send me asks and I'd answer in character like an ask blog. Would you guys be interested in that?

Undertale - Adamsapple version.
Once, in the time before memories faded and whispers became myths, two mighty races reigned over the Earth: the Humans and the Angels. Their beauty was unmatched, their powers unfathomable. But envy, like a serpent, slithered through their hearts, and a war, fierce and relentless, broke the world in two. The battle raged on for ages, and in the end, it was the humans who stood victorious. With a single, powerful spell, they sealed the Angels away beneath the earth, burying them in a prison of silence and darkness.
But legends… they are never simply stories. They breathe, they live, they haunt. And in these ancient legends, it is told that anyone who dares to climb the mountain where the Angels were imprisoned will never return. Seven brave humans have ventured up, each one vanishing without a trace. And so, a warning echoes through the land:
Tread lightly, traveler.
For you may not come back.
Once, a human fell—no, it was more than a fall. It was as if the earth itself had opened to swallow them. The human crashed into the Ruins, broken and fragile, and cried out in desperate agony for help. It was then that Lucifer, the youngest of the Archangels, heard the call. The sound pierced the very fabric of his being, and he answered it, as though something deep within him longed to reach out. He found the human, battered and near death, and, with a tenderness that was foreign to his kind, carried them back to the castle of the Angels.
The Angels, with hearts softer than stone, named this fallen human Adam—the first of their kind to walk the earth in the ruins of their forgotten realm. Adam, the beginning of a new, quiet hope. The days that followed were filled with laughter and warmth, a light in the subterranean darkness, a quiet joy. Lucifer and Adam—two souls connected by fate—grew inseparable. The Angels welcomed Adam, as if he had always been one of their own. Yet, the fragile nature of the human heart can never be ignored for long.
One day, Adam fell ill. A sickness, strange and heavy, took root in his bones. He withered before their eyes, his once vibrant spirit dimming. There was but one thing Adam requested in his final days: to see the flower of his home village. But the Angels could do nothing; no magic could bring back the fragrance of distant lands, nor the warmth of a human heart.
And then, on the very next day, Adam died.
Lucifer, crushed beneath the weight of grief, could not let go. His sorrow became something darker, something infinite. He absorbed Adam’s soul into his own, merging their fates into a single, unbreakable bond. In that moment, Lucifer was transformed—no longer just an Archangel, but a being of unimaginable power. With Adam’s soul now coursing through his veins, Lucifer crossed the barrier that had long kept the Angels beneath the earth. He carried Adam’s body into the fading light, across the horizon, back to the village where Adam had once lived.
There, in a field of golden flowers, Lucifer laid Adam to rest. But as the villagers saw the Archangel, still cloaked in the sorrow of his lost love, they screamed in terror. To them, he was a monster—a creature born of the very heavens themselves, carrying death in his arms. They attacked him, hurling everything they had, believing Lucifer had been the one to take Adam’s life.
Lucifer—Lucifer, the bringer of light, the destroyer of worlds—did not fight back.
Instead, he smiled, a strange, aching smile. He clutched Adam’s lifeless form, and he walked away, his heart breaking with every step. The blows landed again and again, but he did not yield. Wounded, and broken in spirit, Lucifer returned to the castle, his steps slow and haunted. When he entered, he collapsed. The dust of his wings fell like ash across the forgotten garden.
And then, Lucifer, in his agony, became still. Wingless, he curled into himself, his body turning to stone, forever frozen in time. The Kingdom of Angels was shattered. The Archangels wept for their youngest brother and for the human they had lost. They had given everything, only to be abandoned once more. And once again, it was the humans who had taken everything from them.
In the shadow of this devastation, Michael, the eldest of the Archangels, made a fateful decision. He would end the pain. The humans would pay for what they had taken. Each human who fell would die, their souls consumed. And when eight souls had been gathered, the barrier between worlds would shatter, and the Angels would rise again.
The time was drawing near. Michael would bring them hope, and he would make them free.
And you, too, will be free. Oh, the eight human will fall soon enough.
Isn’t it strange? Isn’t it wonderful?
Can’t you feel it?
You will smile, won’t you?
Do you feel it now, too?
Something stirs in the air—a change, an unknown force.
Has the eighth fallen? Has the curse been broken at last?
Wait… there’s something different about this one.
There’s a crack in Lucifer’s stone.
Oh. Now this is new.

I've decided that instead of taking a screenshot of every dialogue box for the Undertale, I just wrote it down and I will paste it between screenshots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A long time ago, a human fell into the RUINS. Injured by it's fall, the human called out for help.
Kanako, the queen's daughter, heard the human's call. She brought the human back to the castle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Over time, Kanako and the human became like siblings. The Queen and The Royal Scientist treated the human child as their own. Just as they had done for their other child. The Underground was full of hope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then… One day… The human became very ill.
The sick human had only one request. To see the flowers from their village. But there was nothing we could do.
Tumblr media
The next day. The next day. … The human died.
Kanako, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's soul. She transformed into a being with incredible power.
With the human soul, Kanako crossed through the barrier. She carried the human's body into the sunset. Back to the village of the humans.
Tumblr media
Kanako rached the center of the village. There, she found a bed of pink gold flowers. She carried the human onto it.
Suddenly, screams rang out. The villagers saw Kanako holding the human's body. They thought that she had killed the child.
The humans attacked her with everything they had. She was struck with blow after blow. Kanako had the power to destroy them all.
But… Kanako did not fight back. Clutching the human… Kanako smiled and walked away.
Wounded, Kanako stumbled home. She entered the castle and collapsed. Her dust spread across the garden.
Tumblr media
The kingdom fell into despair. The royal family had lost two children in one night. The humans had once again taken everything from us.
The queen decided it was time to end our suffering. Every human who falls down here must die. With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.
It's not long now. Queen Ceroba will let us go. Queen Ceroba will give us hope. Queen Ceroba will save us all.
You should be smiling too. Aren't you excited? Aren't you happy?
You're going to be free.

What is "ShatteredTale"? (ShatteredTale AU Introduction)
“ShatteredTale” is an Undertale AU where every character lives in a magical fantasy kingdom that was split into two mirror dimensions at the conclusion of the war between humans and monsters in an attempt to end the war. In one dimension, the war still rages (Apocalrypt), while, in the other dimension, humans and monsters are at peace (Utopryial). In this universe, before the universe split in two, a council existed that worked together to protect the kingdom’s citizens and, eventually, end the war. This council consisted of the following characters: • Toriel • Asgore • Sans • Papyrus • Undyne • Alphys Each of these characters, following the splitting of their original dimension, were sent, seemingly “reborn”, into either one of the split dimensions. Once they were reborn, they lost their memories of their original selves, and don’t remember the council members who were reborn into the opposite dimension. Though they can’t remember them, each of them does feel a void where they once were, like something, or, rather, someone is missing from their lives. On top of this, a shattered “mirror” version of each of the council members also exists inside of each of the reborn council members’ souls- representing a version of them that could’ve been if they had been reborn into the opposite dimension. If a reborn council member can awaken to and connect with their shattered selves, they unlock the ability to tap into, and, eventually, fully merge with their shattered selves and their abilities- combining both selves’ powers and forming their “true”, complete selves and unlocking each reborn council member’s true potential. These true forms of each member usually retain a more powerful version of the reborn member’s personality, along with mainly retaining their memories and the memories of themselves prior to the original dimension’s split. These true/ “awakened” forms also correspond to each of the values of the 6 human souls from the original Undertale game. Alongside this, ShatteredTale’s version of The Barrier acts as the boundary that separates the two dimensions, preventing most of the characters from traveling between the two. That is, except for the reborn council members- once they begin to awaken to their shattered selves’ existence, of course. Also, inside the barrier itself, lies a “in-between” dimension, known as “The Rift”. This dimension exists between the two dimensions, acting as this AU’s version of “The Void”. Both Frisk, Flowey/Asriel, and Chara exist in “The Rift”, along with Dr. WD Gaster.
Characters (thus far): • Apocal!Sans • Utopry!Papyrus • Apocal!Asgore • Utopryl!Toriel • Apocal!Undyne • Utopryl!Alphys
This AU will mainly consist of fanfiction chapters that I'll be posting on Wattpad (and A03, once I get my account set up on there). I'll also be posting sneak peeks of each chapter here on this Tumblr blog once they're posted, so look forward to those! Anyhow, I hope you enjoy experiencing my new Undertale AU and that it brings you a sense of joy! Happy reading!

Desperate Dad Asgore
Just some headcanons in an au of undertale
Desperate Dad Asgore... whose heart breaks when a small child finds their way into his throne room, so small and bruised and bloodied from a journey through the Underground.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who cannot raise his trident to the little human, instead finds himself retrieving a medical kit, setting the tiny child onto his throne with a cup of tea the size of their head so he can tend to their wounds.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who jokes with them, commenting on how lovely their ribbon looks, finds himself thankful to find no dust on them. But they're dirty. Clothes damp from the snow and water, pants singed, and sweat sticking to their body as they look so tired.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who could never get rid of Chara and Asriel's old clothes, so he offers the child a night so sleep and some clothes.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who struggles to compose himself when the child comes out from a bath adorned in the green and yellow striped sweater. He admits he teared up quite a lot, the child's short brown hair only kick starting his memory of Chara shyly exploring the kingdom home.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who cares for the child to the best of his ability, goes overboard with his worrying. He baby-proofs his house, is ever so careful of what he cooks, and especially never allows the child alone with his buttercup garden.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who keeps the child secret from his own people, assuring that their soul has been secured and the child killed.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who raises the child alone, until another falls only a few months later, a sibling to the original, adorning boxing gear, a slight dust coating their body. The older sibling only breaks down into tears when they see their little sibling, alive and okay. All the monsters had been talking about how they were 'another human! The second soul! We'll be free if I can just kill you!'
Desperate Dad Asgore... who doesn't know how to feel when the older child sobs out about how they killed an innocent monster who said they tried to kill the cyan soul. How they couldn't move after the situation, felt so horrible, and didn't mean to! They just got so, so angry and they punched and then the monster just... disintegrated.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who decides to talk the child down, assuring them that they're okay, they are just a scared child in an unfamiliar situation and they didn't know what else to do. He won't admit how apprehensive he was when he considered taking in the child.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who ultimately decides yes, he will take in this child. He won't let them separate from their sibling, nor kill another monster to leave the underground.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who slowly grows more content when more children fall, the sixth child falling by the time the first two humans are middle age, the castle remodeled for more housing as he took in the children.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who equally shared his attention with all of his children, until the orange-souled child passes from old age, and the whole family mourns horribly from the loss.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who gets found out after, and his people are furious, and he breaks down, struggling to choose between his people under the rule that had put their whole and unwavering trust in him or his family that he had built from shattered remains that he had spent decades protecting and nurturing.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who steels himself and calls his people to hear a public announcement. It develops into a slideshow as he shows the decades spent cooking, laughing, raising, and showing how amazing his kids and he was. He relents how wrong he was to declare a human hunt decree, how wrong he was to with death upon these wonderful, beautiful children when he knew they were innocent and that the humans who had murdered Asriel were long gone, and the humans that had sealed them underground were nothing but particles now, any and all memories of them forgotten entirely and the only way they survived was from the legend of the great war.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who pleads with his people to leave his children untouched, who even brings up the fact his oldest child' had passed and even promised their soul to free monster kind. He pleads to let time play out, no matter how morbid the idea is, no matter how horrible it will be to watch his children die in front of him, but letting them age out would be much easier than letting his children spill their own blood all in that day. His youngest was three for his own sake! Three years old!

Undertale: The Royal Hunt, my ongoing, novel-length, darker take on Undertale, has its 5 year anniversary today
Tumblr media
("The Royal Hunt Cover Art" was drawn by SkyBr1ght on Deviantart and commissioned by me)
So today on December 29th 2018, five years ago, I published the first chapter of what would eventually take over so much of my life.
The Royal Hunt is part of my "Shattering AU", and is a darker(not necessarily "more mature") take on the Undertale universe. Originally conceived as an "edge fest", it quickly took on a life of its own, becoming larger and bigger than I anticipated, going places I didn't even plan at first when the story was just a "rough draft".
I have even commissioned many artworks for it, the cover art above(once again by the lovely SkyBr1ght on Deviantart) is just one example.
It is currently the length of a novel with 300K words and counting, yet I estimate this story to only be 1/3rd of the way there.
And that's not counting all the spin-offs and prequels I have planned, plus a few one-shots once I eventually finish this fic.
Anyway, if you're new here and have no clue what The Royal Hunt is:
Thanks for scrolling/reading this far. Must mean you're interested.
You're probably wondering "what" this fanfic is about.
Well, let me tell you.
In The Royal Hunt, Frisk finds herself in The Underground Kingdom as the other story goes. But in this timeline, she arrives much later as a 16-year-old teenage girl, and now, The Underground has fallen into a dark, oppressive dictatorship with an unseen ruler, and a group of knights known as "The Royal Hunt", the darker, crueller successor group to the now defunct "Royal Guard", filled with some of the worst monsterkind has to offer, working as judge, jury, and often executioner, wandering zone to zone, hunting dissidents, rebels, and the occasional human for "capturing". They are led by a ruthless, mysterious warrior known only as "Mad Mickey". And now, Frisk must traverse this dangerous kingdom, with a strange power over life and death, while reality seems to break at times around her. She has few friends, and her guide through this alien, magical kingdom, and one of the only ones she can truly trust... is a snarky little talking flower named Flowey.
That is only the start, and there are many unknown changes and mysteries afoot. Including the "return" of one many call "Gaster".

Fanfiction.net link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13162006/1/Undertale-The-Royal-Hunt
Deviantart link: https://www.deviantart.com/tomandjay/gallery/74210874/undertale-shattering-au-the-royal-hunt
The early chapters are pretty rough and are in the process of being updated and rewritten.
(And there's plenty of OCs and a lot of queerness as well, no worries. I even made some characters queer, like Sans is Aro, and MK is NB)

I'll Follow You Into the Dark
read it on AO3 at https://archiveofourown.org/works/66499066 by TheMadDisneyFan Izuku was still only a baby when his sister was born, so he had never really known a world without her. The only evidence he had ever been an only child at all was a single album of baby pictures, ended with one of a 14 month old Izuku wearing a onesie that said ‘best big brother.’ To Izuku, the world had never existed without Frisk. So when she suddenly vanished years later, it took everything in him to not let the world shatter. +x+ Izuku Midoriya was born without a quirk, later he came to the conclusion that it must be because it would be unfair. That someone had to be quirkless to give Frisk such an amazing power. A power to return to the past to change the future. A power that even supersedes death. His knowledge of that power is what he clings to, because his sister is not dead. She can't be. Frisk Midoriya was born with quirk that scared her. Sometimes she wished her brother had gotten it instead, he was so much better at adapting. So when her untimely fall puts her in the position to save an entire kingdom, she steps up to be a hero just like Izuku. Even if it kills her- even if kills her over, and over, and over again. 10, 19, 24,& 33 for the l33t Gamer Asks 🎮
10 Quick, name the first song from a game that comes to mind!
When You're Gone from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Not the best entry but I fid enjoy the soundtrack!
19 A game you didn’t finish but would like to get back to or restart someday
So many! Silent Hill 4: the Room, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Psychonauts, Alan Wake, about half of the Kingdom Hearts games, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening & Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Emerald Version, The Void... don't ask why I'm calling these games by their legal names.
24 A “Wow” moment of awe
Hmm... Pathologic 2's opening. Like the tutorial section was really disorienting, considering the it's-not-real aspect is something you only learn at the end in Pathologic Classic HD, ao them starting with that was something I really liked. In general I just think the opening is so well done!
33 Someone has never played a video game before but is open to trying any genre. What game would you recommend as their first?
Silent Hill 2. It's considered to be the best in the series and although I think it's not really representative of the series, I do think it really showcases some of the best qualities of video games when it comes to arguments of video games as art, to video games as something worth studying and taking seriously.
(The next two picks would be Undertale and Disco Elysium; much as I love Pathologic it's something I'm more hesitant to recommend as I'd have to know that they have the time to commit to it.)
