Hey, thought guys. For those of you who have seen some of my previous posts about my OCs: do you think you'd be interested in being able to directly ask them things? Like you could send me asks and I'd answer in character like an ask blog. Would you guys be interested in that?

finally sat down to annotate notes regarding some canon information within deltarune (specifically elements regarding the prophecy, the purpose of darkners, how darkworlds are created, etc.) and im actually kinda glad toby is just outright supplying the lore for those things because idk how i could take note of all that if there were multiple endings/routes/choices like undertale
#deltarune#not fanon#i mean not technically fanon but im taking notes for my fanon#im not done yet but i did get a good chunk of notes done yesterday#did you know when ralsei introduces himself as the prince of the Kingdom of Darkness#it possibly references the trope where Satan is referred to as the Prince of Darkness?#or when ralsei mentions that the prophecy was fortold across time and space#it references how gaster was shattered across time and space in undertale?#idk maybe those things have already been said already probably#but i just think thats so interesting#also the fact that it seems that dark worlds are created only when a dark fountain emerges#yet they seem to already have a deep history within each one? thats so interesting#ive seen people create theories to answer that which is also so interesting#like how darkworlds only existed as soon as the dark fountains sprouted yet created their own history/lore in the process#personally im wondering if dark worlds did in a way 'exist' prior to the creation of dark fountains#but not like. physically? if that makes sense#like it was only when the dark fountain is created that gives them a physical form#idk id have to finish my research#im up to the point of seam's dialogue in their shop#i also have many thoughts on the purpose of darkners but i wanna finish my notes so i can complete them#i still have yet to annotate queens dialogue in chapter 2#along with ralsei's explanation regarding the roaring#as well as spamton's battles + shop dialogue#religion mention#religion ment tw#religion ment#ask to tag

DELTARUNE; Gargy's Fairytale Theory
So, lately I've kind of had an itch in the back of my mind about DELTARUNE, more specifically the secret or hidden bosses in the game and a little correlation they all share. I'll try to keep this under 100 pages but i promise nothing (tee hee hee)
If you've played the game to the extent you're looking at a tumblr blog dedicated to it, you're probably familiar with the character's jevil and spamton. These are the two characters coined by the community as "secret bosses", since you have to stray away from the games intended path to find them (in most cases.)
When you defeat spamton in his 'NEO form', a neat little song will play with his dialogue "a real boy!", this is a nod to the fable/fairytale "pinochio" I'm sure everyone's familiar with. It's a story about a doll that comes to life in search of becoming 'a real boy'. This corrilation made me realize there are A LOT of similarity's between pinochio and spamton. The strings, his regular form being a mockup of a doll, even his goal to become "big", its almost like becoming a 'real boy'. He knows he's not 'real', and just like at the end of pinochio, he too becomes renewed (reneo'd).
This made me wonder if the other secret boss, Jevil, represented something other than the Joker card. Then I realized whenever he was hit in his fat empty head it actually sprung out like a jack-in-the-box. I initially discarded this since it wasn't really a fable or fairy-tale, but if you do some digging you'll find it actually is!!!@! back in the 1400's somewhat, the jack in the box was originally named 'The Devil in the Box', essentially it's a story about a man who trapped a devil in a boot in order to save a village in france at the time, kinda like that one story about the court jester who got locked away by his magician friend in order to save their kingdom (haha. hahahahha. thats from deltarune. hahaha.) just to run home my point, jack-in-the-box; Devil in the box. Jack; Devil. What way could you fuse them together? Dack? Jackil? maybe some other 3rd way that has some importance to Yea thats right you know you've always known its Jevil.
Obviously, in deltarune fashion, its easy to overthink most elements in the story. Granted, toby will make an entire 2nd game about a hypothetical character you've never met but no you've only ever POSSIBLY met through a 1/100 chance door where he'll show you his asshole and then disappear into a million pieces, but yea, it's easy to make certain correlations that aren't even really there. In this case however I'd say that there's one more correlation that seals the deal that makes this theory WORTH theorizing.
Yea gaster. even though he's not even technically a character yet, every piece of information regarding him seems to lead people to believe he's not only the narrator at the beginning of the game, but he's also the 'man' behind the tree (since the way you find 'his sprite' in undertale is almost exactly similar ['theres a room in-between, theres a room, in-between']). I'm assuming you know what there is to know about gaster so im not gonna go into it, so onto the correlation.
I've read before someone talking about how gaster represents easter eggs in video games, not only physically (egghead) but metaphorically (the way you find him, his implied involvment with the secret bosses, the fact he gives you an '''''EGG''''' when you DO find him). Well if he is technically involved with the secret bosses, wouldn't that make him a fable too? I'm here to tell you he is. he is HUMPTY DUMPTY from SECOND GRADE FAIRY TALE PLAY.
I've already gone over his physical and metaphorical symbolism relating to eggs, but the story of humpty dumpty is also very, haha, hahahaha, hahahhahahaha
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall (The Core)
Humpty dumpty took a big fall ("Fell into his own creation")
All the kings horses and all the kings men (Who did gaster work for again?)
Couldn't put Humpty together again ("He was shattered across time and space")
What could this mean? for the future it means that if this theory is right, EVERY secret boss we meet is gonna represent not only a lightworld object, but an actual FAIRTY TALE, a FABLE. I mean, how many fables are out there. I know theres one in particular, one that the game is named after, one that has to do with an ANGEL. an ''''ANGEL'''' with ''''TATTERED WINGS''''''.
but then again idk
EDIT: ALSO LITTLE MISS MUFFET THINK ABOUT THAT UNDER-HEADS LITTLE MISS MUFFET SAT ON HER TUFFET
Last edit: also this has no grounds as an actual theory but uhhh that mf that made the Undertale RED boss fight got hired on the team. Huh. I wonder what Red was a reference to. Huh.

Fellas, I was thinking, right? And i was wondering: what's the LV on the Epic Sanses? Because I figure Delta probably has a little bit, but I feel like Color and Epic might have one. Can anyone fact check me on this?
(Also, since I've been including Captain in a lot of posts with them (I just think he'd really like them) LV might be an interesting conversation between them if two of them only have LV 1.)

FELLAS. IT'S HERE.
This is Si, speaking! For those of you who don't know me, this an alt blog of @the-selfinsert
I decided recently that to clear up confusion, I should make a separate blog for my Undertale AU, Shattered Kingdom.
So, on here, you can ask questions to me about the AU, ask any of my OCs for the au, or ask any of the OG cast who are a part of the au.
You can still ask theses things to my OG blog, but this is probably where you should put those just for the sake of organization.
So yeah, go crazy with it!

I've decided that instead of taking a screenshot of every dialogue box for the Undertale, I just wrote it down and I will paste it between screenshots.
A long time ago, a human fell into the RUINS. Injured by it's fall, the human called out for help.
Kanako, the queen's daughter, heard the human's call. She brought the human back to the castle.
Over time, Kanako and the human became like siblings. The Queen and The Royal Scientist treated the human child as their own. Just as they had done for their other child. The Underground was full of hope.
Then… One day… The human became very ill.
The sick human had only one request. To see the flowers from their village. But there was nothing we could do.
The next day. The next day. … The human died.
Kanako, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's soul. She transformed into a being with incredible power.
With the human soul, Kanako crossed through the barrier. She carried the human's body into the sunset. Back to the village of the humans.
Kanako rached the center of the village. There, she found a bed of pink gold flowers. She carried the human onto it.
Suddenly, screams rang out. The villagers saw Kanako holding the human's body. They thought that she had killed the child.
The humans attacked her with everything they had. She was struck with blow after blow. Kanako had the power to destroy them all.
But… Kanako did not fight back. Clutching the human… Kanako smiled and walked away.
Wounded, Kanako stumbled home. She entered the castle and collapsed. Her dust spread across the garden.
The kingdom fell into despair. The royal family had lost two children in one night. The humans had once again taken everything from us.
The queen decided it was time to end our suffering. Every human who falls down here must die. With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.
It's not long now. Queen Ceroba will let us go. Queen Ceroba will give us hope. Queen Ceroba will save us all.
You should be smiling too. Aren't you excited? Aren't you happy?
You're going to be free.

battle of the battle themes
I've been following these poll tourneys very closely and got an idea for one of my own! I love video game OST's and thought it'd be fun to make one about that, especially since music has been a less explored venue than characters.
Qualifications:
Must be from a video game
Must coincide with some kind of battle with the video game's enemies. Something that hypes you up and makes you feel unstoppable!
General battle themes or boss fight themes welcome
Some examples I had in mind: With Twilight of the Gods from Shadows of Valentia, God Shattering Star from Fire Emblem Three Houses, Song of the Ancients (Fate) from Nier Replicant/Gestalt
Y'all can submit those or whatever you want! In fact I'm excited to find new OST's to listen to!
Rules:
I won't tolerate any rudeness or toxicity. Any offenders will be blocked.
No botting/cheating either, please. Let's just have a fun time here.
No video games that are very NSFW in nature please!
You can only submit your song once but you are free to send in multiple. Basically, no flooding with a repeat confession.
Propaganda is welcome, especially during the submission phase if you want a song submitted- though for the most part the music will be speaking for itself I think!
This is something very new for me and I don't rlly know much about tournament seeding or w/e so it'll probably be randomized. Please be patient with me!
Submissions have been closed early so I can include more people- sorry about that!
Other poll tourneys that inspired me to make one:

i really loved @kurjakani's poll (please go vote in it first) so here's my version. pretend for the sake of this poll that they are all capable of giving you med care even though they might just be a scientist lmao.
also, in gaster's case, he WILL ghost on you & stop filling your meds when he's shattered across reality, so keep that in mind
#i know i missed a few but this is all i could remember lmao#personally for pcp i think the medic's love for his practice makes him a top-tier choice

Desperate Dad Asgore
Just some headcanons in an au of undertale
Desperate Dad Asgore... whose heart breaks when a small child finds their way into his throne room, so small and bruised and bloodied from a journey through the Underground.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who cannot raise his trident to the little human, instead finds himself retrieving a medical kit, setting the tiny child onto his throne with a cup of tea the size of their head so he can tend to their wounds.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who jokes with them, commenting on how lovely their ribbon looks, finds himself thankful to find no dust on them. But they're dirty. Clothes damp from the snow and water, pants singed, and sweat sticking to their body as they look so tired.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who could never get rid of Chara and Asriel's old clothes, so he offers the child a night so sleep and some clothes.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who struggles to compose himself when the child comes out from a bath adorned in the green and yellow striped sweater. He admits he teared up quite a lot, the child's short brown hair only kick starting his memory of Chara shyly exploring the kingdom home.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who cares for the child to the best of his ability, goes overboard with his worrying. He baby-proofs his house, is ever so careful of what he cooks, and especially never allows the child alone with his buttercup garden.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who keeps the child secret from his own people, assuring that their soul has been secured and the child killed.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who raises the child alone, until another falls only a few months later, a sibling to the original, adorning boxing gear, a slight dust coating their body. The older sibling only breaks down into tears when they see their little sibling, alive and okay. All the monsters had been talking about how they were 'another human! The second soul! We'll be free if I can just kill you!'
Desperate Dad Asgore... who doesn't know how to feel when the older child sobs out about how they killed an innocent monster who said they tried to kill the cyan soul. How they couldn't move after the situation, felt so horrible, and didn't mean to! They just got so, so angry and they punched and then the monster just... disintegrated.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who decides to talk the child down, assuring them that they're okay, they are just a scared child in an unfamiliar situation and they didn't know what else to do. He won't admit how apprehensive he was when he considered taking in the child.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who ultimately decides yes, he will take in this child. He won't let them separate from their sibling, nor kill another monster to leave the underground.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who slowly grows more content when more children fall, the sixth child falling by the time the first two humans are middle age, the castle remodeled for more housing as he took in the children.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who equally shared his attention with all of his children, until the orange-souled child passes from old age, and the whole family mourns horribly from the loss.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who gets found out after, and his people are furious, and he breaks down, struggling to choose between his people under the rule that had put their whole and unwavering trust in him or his family that he had built from shattered remains that he had spent decades protecting and nurturing.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who steels himself and calls his people to hear a public announcement. It develops into a slideshow as he shows the decades spent cooking, laughing, raising, and showing how amazing his kids and he was. He relents how wrong he was to declare a human hunt decree, how wrong he was to with death upon these wonderful, beautiful children when he knew they were innocent and that the humans who had murdered Asriel were long gone, and the humans that had sealed them underground were nothing but particles now, any and all memories of them forgotten entirely and the only way they survived was from the legend of the great war.
Desperate Dad Asgore... who pleads with his people to leave his children untouched, who even brings up the fact his oldest child' had passed and even promised their soul to free monster kind. He pleads to let time play out, no matter how morbid the idea is, no matter how horrible it will be to watch his children die in front of him, but letting them age out would be much easier than letting his children spill their own blood all in that day. His youngest was three for his own sake! Three years old!

more lore thoughts before sleep
Like genuinely I think what canon aims for earth to be:
Just like ours for immersion and simplicity sake
Secretly got complicated world building that we don't see cause like how we don't know much about the UT humans until late game /revealed they're not the player, we too will realize their world is not truly our own. It being called earth doesn't mean they share the same history at all. I can ONLY see this working if it was part of a larger narrative but I doubt that with DR being an AU and I doubt the alarm clock would be that ambitious
anyway logically, I'd imagine SOULs are only fully visible and collectable if surrounded by a magic environment. (Monsters and monsterfood cultivate a magic infused atmosphere, without one or the other they'd disappear with time) which would mean you could justify a more 1-1 history
BUT personally, the premise and into narration of Undertale give me the vibe monsters were always a part of humanity. So like. The premise itself isn't that "Oh this is earth, just that monsters are sealed a long time ago" but rather its "No see they had their own history and shared the world together until the barrier. This IS earth but not one that shares our exact history. It is not intended, by premise, to be 1-1"
anyway Angel's does that but monsters migrate to an island after a while for ~plot reasons~ that even monsters aren't fully aware. (In reality it just makes it more simple to write) So you'd have monsters across the world but there more hidden or seen as... unextrodinary. I'm thinking like you'd have hawks then there's a Phoenix on my backyard patio casual.
Magic would have to be common at least enough that Big Foot can fend for himself in the woods. Magic is sparse but not necearily in the wild in certain areas? Like hotspots of localized Magic generating areas.
Monsters naturally cultivate magic food and vice versa, they allow Monsters to feed off to exist. Who in turn cultivate and grow the food etc. Magic Cycle.
These spots become more rare as monsters are hunted or their habitats taken by humanity
My thinking is how to USE magic is rarely understood and why the Hoppes Kingdom having so much magic and knowledge matters so much. That's since died out more in the hundreds of years and shift to only preists using magic. But I also imagine they id wild magic as different from their divine magic so that's honestly an explanation to why the preists narrative isn't instantly shattered when monsters break the barrier. Monsters use wild magic or have their own separate system. (In reality all magic is the same magic)
But yeah working alongside Asriel and lying about how magic works (and thus siphon monsterkind for magic and then use it to ensure divine right and power etc) would be why humanity is more quick to adopt monsters (outside of capitalism )
Which means if Asriel or More Likely Raine tbh were to expose this and show how Hoppes Kingdom deliberately skewed the narrative than they could use that as leverage. But also that's a big risk to use that against them, as it's not enough to "prove" it to believers nor does it stop those in power from deflecting and then betraying. Humanity still controls the narrative and power here
