Bad Music Genre idea - A music genre that uses increasingly odd time signatures. Also no songs in the genre would have the typical repeaty-ness of traditional songs, but the transition from one beat to another would be smooth-ish. I'd call it Uncore, but that's probably already taken as a name.

i made this for you!!! :3
(this is what i was drawing when i was getting motion sick, i love how it came out sm!!1! also i was hoping i could post it on yt as well, do you have a yt @ you’d like me to tag or would you be fine with just “@very-uncorrect on tumblr”?)
OH MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLESNSKDMGKEKWMWMDNF I WILL CRY RN
Also yeah of course post it anywhere, "@very-uncorrect on Tumblr" is fine :D
(I have a YouTube channel that I don't often use that is also called very-uncorrect so it's technically both, but I'd prefer people know about my Tumblr blog than a dumb channel I never use haha)

Please come, and bathe me in serenity again. Yes, I was wholly and entirely happy. If you could have uncored me—you would have seen every nerve running fire—intense, but calm.

"You're just as sweet as these apples, huh?"
You also get to watch him use one of those apple corers on your candy apple. He puts enough force into it that it doesn't stick on the caramel or anything. He returns the uncored slices on a Halloween-y paper plate.
"Enjoy."

Ive finished storyboarding my Pokémon Fanfiction and finally have a name! I'll call it "Biscuits and Pokeballs". After all, our Grandma Heroine is most known for her cookies and cakes.
Heres a few quotes to entertain @maidofdarkness23:
She remembered it to be much less stressful to do, but then again, most tents were rude little cookies waiting to be cussed at.
There was a Numel. It had a saliva covered cookie in its mouth and was chewing dutifully, but it was behind them, nonetheless. "... Do you want to come with me?" The Numel chewed happily at her. She could practically make out each individual component of the cookie. It wasnt a very pleasant sight.
She carefully picked up the Sewaddle, untangled the woolen fabric from its mouth and stood, blanket in one hand, Pokémon in the other. Now, unfortunately, that meant she didnt have enough room for her cane or a hand to steady herself. But she was an old lady that had an abundance of blankets in her home. She could afford to leave one brave soldier behind.
And my favourite, stupid, in between line:
Peaches drooled, which was usually a good sign.
And I realised that my Storyboard, my planning, my outline?
Its two written DINA5 pages.
I have so far written... 8 and about 6K words and from all the items on said storyboard (its around 25 individual points of happenstance) I have so far managed to put in... One.
Welp.
Anyways, heres some details about the Pokémon Fanfiction:
My main character is Gwendolyn, a 76 year old grandma that wants to beat her first Gym. Shes accompanied by a Sewaddle thats the personification of "Im just a Baby!", a shiny Audino called Plum and a wild Numel called Peaches, following her for the food.
... Whats the emotional core, you ask? Well, you see, its obviously the struggle of her grandchildren after their parents divorced, paired with the stresses of the modern world!
Yup. Thats... Thats the core, y'all. I... I didnt mean to make that the core, but it happened and now I cant uncore my core because the longer I think about it, the core-ier it gets. Are you still with me? Have a biscuit. Everything will be fine.
So. Thats what Im working on. A generational story about empathy set in Unova. Classic Pokémon Fanfiction, nothing new to see here.

Intel Data Direct I/O Performance With Intel VTune Profiler
Improve Intel Data Direct I/O (DDIO) Workload Performance with Intel VTune Profiler.
Profile uncore hardware performance events in Intel Xeon processors with oneAPI
One hardware feature included in Intel Xeon CPUs is Intel Data Direct I/O (DDIO) technology. By making the CPU cache the primary point of entry and exit for I/O data going into and out of the Intel Ethernet controllers and adapters, it contributes to advances in I/O performance.
To monitor the effectiveness of DDIO and Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) for Directed I/O (Intel VT-d), which permits the independent execution of several operating systems and applications, it is essential to monitor uncore events, or events that take place outside the CPU core. By analyzing uncore hardware events, you may improve the performance of Intel Data Direct I/O (DDIO) workloads using Intel VTune Profiler, a performance analysis and debugging tool driven by the oneAPI.
We’ll talk about using VTune Profiler to evaluate and enhance directed I/O performance in this blog. Let’s take a quick look at Intel Data Direct I/O technology before we go into the profiling approach.
Overview of the Intel Data Direct I/O (DDIO) Technology
Intel Integrated I/O technology Intel DDIO was launched in 2012 for the Intel Xeon processor E5 and E7 v2 generations. It aims to increase system-level I/O performance by employing a new processor-to-I/O data flow.
I/O operations were sluggish and processor cache was a scarce resource prior to the development of Data Direct I/O technology. It was necessary for the host processor’s main memory to store and retrieve any incoming or departing data from an Ethernet controller or adapter, respectively. It used to be necessary to move the data from main memory to the cache before working with it.
This led to a lot of read and write operations in the memory. This also caused some additional, speculative read operations from the I/O hub in some of the older designs. Excessive memory accesses often lead to higher system power consumption and deterioration of I/O performance.
Intel DDIO technology was created to rearrange the flow of I/O data by making the processor cache the primary source and destination of I/O data instead of the main memory, as the processor cache is no longer a restricted resource.
Depending on the kind of workload at the workstation or on the server, the DDIO approach offers benefits like:
Higher transaction rates, reduced battery usage, reduced latency, increased bandwidth, and more.
There is no industry enablement needed for the Data Direct I/O technology.
It doesn’t rely on any hardware, and it doesn’t need any modifications to your operating system, drivers, or software.
Boost DDIO Performance Using Intel VTune Profiler
A function carried out in a CPU’s uncore section, outside of the processor core itself, that yet affects processor performance as a whole is referred to as an uncore event. For instance, these occurrences may be connected to the Intel Ultra Path Interconnect (UPI) block, memory controller, or I/O stack action.
A new recipe in the VTune Profiler Cookbook explains how to count these kinds of uncore hardware events using the tool’s input and output analysis function. You may analyze Data Direct I/O and VT-d efficiency by using the data to better understand the traffic and behavior of the Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe).
The recipe explains how to do input and output analysis, evaluate the findings, and classify the resulting I/O metrics. In essence, VTune Profiler v2023.2 or later and an Intel Xeon scalable CPU of the first or later generation are needed. Although the approach is suitable to the most recent version of Intel Xeon Processors, the I/O metrics and events covered in the recipe are based on the third generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor.
Perform I/O Analysis with VTune Profiler
Start by analyzing your application’s input and output using VTune Profiler. With the analysis function, you may examine CPU, bus, and I/O subsystem use using a variety of platform-level metrics. You may get data indicating the Intel Data Direct I/O(DDIO) use efficiency by turning on the PCIe traffic analysis option.
Analyze the I/O Metrics
VTune Profiler Web Server or VTune Profiler GUI may be used to examine the report that is produced as a consequence of the input and output analysis. Using the VTune Profiler Web Server Interface, the recipe illustrates the examination of many I/O performance indicators, including:
Platform diagram use of the physical core, DRAM, PCIe, and Intel UPI linkages.
PCIe Traffic Summary, which includes metrics for both outgoing (caused by the CPU) and incoming (caused by I/O devices) PCIe traffic.
These measurements aid in the computation of CPU/IO conflicts, latency for incoming read/write requests, PCIe bandwidth and efficient use, and other factors.
Metrics to assess the workload’s effectiveness in re-mapping incoming I/O device memory locations to various host addresses using Intel VT-d technology.
Usage of DRAM and UPI bandwidth.

this expansion draft and roster planning for next season.. how are these gms doing it?
firstly the cap is ridiculously low [1.5 million? for 11-12 players?] next, expansion draft rules aren't even out yet. there are thoughts going around that they could be able to select one uncored unrestricted free agent? which seems so contrary to what unrestricted free agency is? how many people can each team core?
then there's the question of who will declare [which is a little more set but a handful of players have potential redshirts from injury] and i'm not super informed on player evaluations. which will determine the likelihood of us signing a rookie from the jump
and then there's the mercury question: are they going to try for the same strategy [4 guard]? are they going to try to get a real 4 for the whole season/in the consistent starting line up? who will they core? what is the free agent situation? will they pull a seattle reign and not core someone bc they'd rather walk than play for another team and everybody knows it?
so many questions and cathy could help me answer like a third of them but here we are instead....
#honestly i think kiki will probably go in expansion#because it doesn't seem like she's a bad player she's just a forward who doesn't fit the nate system#will nate keep his job?#my guess is that celeste will get re-signed regardless#but everyone else on the bench kind of depends on the nate question#i'm curious if they'll use 2025 rookies [again bc i don't know the draft class well enough#or if they'll try for free agents#and will there be free agents willing to take a pay cut for merc facilities?/team#are they going to be nearly supermaxing 2 people? or will it go down to 1? bc that changes things too#i was thinking about this bc i was thinking about the sophie thing and then i remembered that i saw last night she does color for the suns#in the off season so it's not like they're totally paying her under the table but they are a little bit#and who else is going to have those opportunities to evade the salary cap?#and if you include the “rest” off season pay in next year it's only a 20K paycut instead of 50K#we should also talk about the fact that bg has implied several times [jokingly] that they'll leave at the same time#but if you've read her book .. it sounds a lot closer than you'd think#also something to consider is that this year sophie is a protected veteran... this new contract is unprotected#which is usually only to like make space for someone else or to give your team the best shot#like this year stewie and sab are unprotected.. also on that note stewie is a free agent after this season too#also i don't know what the step beyond denial is called but i'm genuinely not considering it to be a possibility so that's where i am
