hi! I really like your blog, it's fun to get reminders of how insane and fun pnf was! I was wondering if you knew which episode a certain scene/joke was in? if not that's ok!!

i think there's a scene at one point where baljeet is explaining some catastrophic event that's going to happen (I think about earth colliding with another planet?), and he says to buford "do you know what that means?!" and buford replies "yeah! it's like when you have two sets of keys, so you keep one in the car!" (this is super not what the thing baljeet said means) and baljeet does a super obvious double take and says "no, it--no!"

it always makes me laugh but I cant seem to find a clip of it and I dont remember what episode it's from, do you have any idea?

how on earth do you remember the first fanfic you ever read

It was very formative LOL. I was like twelve years old and a girl (who I had just met like two weeks previously when her family moved in down the street) came over to my house with a stack of paper in her hands and said, “I found something really really cool, you should look at this.” She’d printed out the web pages that Cassandra Clare’s Very Secret Diaries of the Fellowship of the Rings were hosted on at the time, but her dad’s printer was fucky with web pages and only printed out like two printed pages’ worth before it just stopped in the middle, so we didn’t even have the whole fics.

But we went all the way down to the bottom of my backyard by the creek and the swing (I had a HUGE backyard) and we sat on the grass and read it and tried to figure out What It Meant. And even at that time, I wanted to be an author when I grew up, and I was already forming all of these big Ideas about art and storytelling and stuff (which you can now see manifested in my original works), and I was just... fascinated? Enraptured. I tell u what, though, I had to really flex my tiny baby google-fu in order to find the original webpages so I could read the rest of those fics.

Sometimes the gears of fate clicking into place make the sound of roaring thunder and you KNOW at that moment, “Oh, this is it, this is something that’s going to  matter to  me for the rest of my life,” and sometimes it’s just the sound of a single grain of sand falling on a sheet of copper, and it isn’t until later that you look back and think, “Oh. Oh, that’s the moment my life changed.”

That’s how I remember what the first fic I ever read was. <3

i dont necessarily base my personality off of characters, but i do have characters i relate to So Very Much and it is hilarious to see them all side by side because. well.

i present to you the trifecta of quirky enthusiastic red hoodie teenagers with issues and a tendency to be insensitive because they work on a different wavelength than other people and cant quite understand a lot of things which seem obvious for other people: Stiles Stilinski, Michael Mell, and Katie Mitchell

like. thats just me. thats just my personality. also they look like how i looked like on a daily basis back when going out was still a thing

Has something a character said/done ever helped you get out of a situation of your own?

a character that really helped me with like, the struggles of being a human being is Dirk Gently (the 2016 tv show one). so many of his words still resonate to me. one off the top of my head is

"It's very easy to act like a jerk and go "Well, I'm a jerk, so that's that." but it's not like being a bloody werewolf is it? It's just you making excuses for your excuses."

for context, im......a bit of an asshole. but hearing this quote for the first time made me realize that im not fuckin Stuck Like That. i can change, i should change, because i do not want to make excuses for my excuses!

today i'm being kind to myself by spending the day creating (painting, weaving, sewing) because it makes me happy to bring something new into the world that i can touch and see. it's also kind of an extension of me being kind to myself earlier, by asking for a specific day of the week off at my job instead of always working!

Oh man!! Making space/time for yourself to recharge by taking time away from work is A+ being nice to yourself, and creating to make yourself happy is also what I will be doing shortly. I have a chapter to finish and get cleaned up for posting!

ooooh my god...okay. this might get kinda long cuz this is literally one of my special interests. They’re not all about film but i encourage everyone to check out some of these videos because they’re really great, my absolute favorites are in bold.

However, since he makes videos that are more politically charged, the only ones I’m gonna recommend here are in his series Everything Wrong With Cinemasins which is so funny and insightful and made me hate cinemasins so much

what's the british way to sing ring around the rosie?? i ask bc i fear i may also have learned it that way

So when I was a very little kid I learned:

Ring around the rosie / Pocket full of posie / Achoo, achoo / We all fall down

Interchangeable with “achoo, achoo” was also a version where it went “a tissue, a tissue”

I think it was later in elementary school when I first learned the “Ashes, ashes” version and I straight up just assumed the adults thought the “ashes ashes” version was too dark for small kids so we learned the “achoo” version when we were in like pre-k and then we were allowed to know about “ashes ashes” when we got older

but nope turns out -- at least according to the internet -- that “achoo” or “a tissue” is the common UK version of the rhyme and “ashes ashes” is the US version

hey i just wanted to say i COMPLETELY agree abt the narcissist cookbook, especially life out of phase really hit me hard

god right??? I have to be honest there are some songs on his albums that I skip over when I listen, but I devoured everything when I first found his stuff! whenever I listen I have to listen to songs all the way through, like to pause it or skip halfway through breaks the atmosphere somehow
