Part 1: Pretty Please With A Dog On Top! | Request
Five Hargreeves x Niece!Reader

Tumblr media
The day after the funeral, you has to return to the mansion again. You scooped up your dog again, getting into the car. Your father drove to the house again, preparing for the worst based on the encounter yesterday. You arrived and walked into the house. Walking in, you saw the familiar faces of your uncles and aunt. But there was one unfamiliar face, it was a boy who seemed to be a few years older than you. He was dressed in an academy uniform and your father seemed shocked to see him. You were confused, who was he? He looked at you, then up at Diego.
"Huh, would you look at that, Batman's got a kid."
All your uncles and your aunt seemed in shock to see the boy, not like they didn't know him, but as if he wasn't supposed to be here.
"Five?! How are you here?!"
What was going on? You looked up to your father in concern. He instantly caught onto your nervousness and sent you into the living room to go play with your dog. Playing with the dog always calmed you down so you sat down on a comfy chair and began to play.
~*~*~*~*~
A few minutes later, the boy walked in. He was slightly intimidating, but as he walked over to you his features softened. Maybe you were crazy but you could swear there was the slightest hint of a smile on his face.
"Hey kid, what's your name?"
You felt slightly afraid of the boy but murmured a meek '(Y/N)'. He smiled at you, complimenting your name, trying to comfort you and help with your shyness. He introduced himself as Five, your other uncle, you furrowed your brows. How could he be your uncle? The dog began pawing at Fives wrist, he usually hated animals, especially dogs, but yours was different. He also usually hated kids, but you were also an exception. He was very fond of you, finding your shyness adorable. He also loved the dog, though he'd never admit any of it.
In front of his siblings, he'd pretend he didn't care for you or the dog. He'd rarely take notice of either you in front of the family, but when you were alone with him he would go soft. Sometimes, your dad or uncles or aunt would catch a sneak peek of Five's bond with you and found it adorable.
~*~*~*~*~
"Hey Fivey, what's your deal with Diego's kid anyway, got a soft spot for her?" Klaus snorted. He had noticed how caring Five was towards you, opposing his usual cold behaviour. Five scoffed, of course he doesn't. How could they possibly think that?!
"You certain you don't at least have a tiny soft spot for the girl?" Five shook his head. "So you're telling me you don't care an ounce about her?"
"Well... I usually hate kids but she's fine I guess."
~*~*~*~*~
You began spending a lot of time at the Hargreeves' mansion. By spending more time at the mansion, you spend more time with your favourite uncle Five - joint first favourite with Klaus or course. Sometimes everyone would get too caught up in their own business and you'd be left at home alone. Well, not entirely alone, Five would always try be there as often as possible to ensure you'd not be alone. But, he also liked when you were alone because he got to be his true self with you. One day, everyone had been too wrapped up in their own stuff and they'd forgotten about you. As usual, you sat in your spot in the living area. Five peeked his head through the doorway, smiling as his eyes landed on his favourite niece. He walked over to your spot, your eyes lighting up when you saw him coming over.
"Hey kid, you all alone again?"
You nodded somberly, sad that you'd been forgotten again. Five scoffed in disbelief. He couldn't believe everyone could just forget about you. He made a mental note to berate your father for doing so and not finding someone to care for you. Heck, you could've been hurt, and there wouldn't have been anyone there to care for you! Five said a quick 'C'mon' as he scooped you into his arms, taking you to the kitchen.
He sat you on the counter and began to make what he always made during his Uncle and Niece bonding sessions. A pot of coffee for him, a mug of hot chocolate for you and two fluffer-nutter sandwiches for the two of you. He set down all the ingredients, inviting you to come help him make them. You giggled as you got up onto the stepstool, feeling your puppy prodding your ankles with his cold nose.
Five guided you on how to make the hot chocolate, letting you put the marshmallows and whipped cream onto it. Not that the event went down without getting whipped cream everywhere, usually Five would be annoyed at this behaviour, but it was you so of course he didn't mind. He laughed slightly as your puppy licked all the whipped cream off the floor and smeared it all over itself. He always made the best hot chocolate, just for you. Most people had never tried Five's hot chocolate, he liked to say it was reserved for him. However, after meeting you, he expanded the circle to the two of you.
He made the sandwiches and set everything on the table. Placing a bowl on the floor for the dog, both of you began to talk. Well, you began to talk really. Five liked listening. Unbeknownst to the two of you, the rest of your family had now returned home and was now watching your interaction from the doorway. They knew Five had to have a soft spot somewhere in his closed-off heart. Who knew that soft spot was reserved for a small girl and a puppy?
(A/N) Sorry this is short but I had lots of fun writing it <3

never changing [ five hargreeves x reader ]
a/n: hi y’all! it’s been a hot minute since i’ve been on here, but after the absolute shit show that season 4 was, some sparks ignited in me to write up anything to take my mind off it 🙌
its not anything crazy, just fluff and banter since i haven’t written anything in years so it may be as poorly redacted as this season lmao
summary: five and y/n attend their niece birthday party together, yet separate
Tumblr media
“Happy birthday, little Gracie!” You smiled widely, trying not to drop the wrapped present box as the six year old girl jumped into your arms, “Oh my gosh, look at you! Youre just getting prettier by day, aren’t you?”
You had just got off work in a hurry to make your appearance at the little girl’s birthday party at a decent time, in spite of the amount of paperwork you managed to bury yourself in lately. You knew how much it would have meant for the celebrated one to show up and you couldn’t bear to let her down, especially on her birthday.
After spending most of your life working for the Commission, and then a decent amount of time exhausting yourself in trying to stop multiple Apocalypses, your last six years have been pretty quiet as a lawyer. You really wanted to get out of the whole assassin thing, but at the same time couldn’t exactly move on from the thrill of the work field. Your career as a lawyer took off really well these past years, but inevitably it came along with the cost of always being stuck at work, so whenever your niece got the chance to see you, she was truly enthusiastic.
“Auntie Y/N!” She wrapped her tiny arms around your neck, engulfing you into a tight hug, “You are here!”
Nonetheless, these six years have been truly and undeniably the most peaceful time of your life for as long as you could remember.
“You literally saw each other the other day,” Five raised a brow, watching you and the celebrated one act as if you hadn’t seen each other in years.
You and the little girl shared a look, before rolling your eyes and turning to glare at the man next to you. Ever since Grace learned how to talk, you and her would gang up on her uncle for your amusement, especially since he was so keen on entertaining the banter.
These past six year have gone by in the blink of an eye, yet at the same time at a slow and steady pace. You spent most of your time working anyway, but still kept in touch with the seven siblings you’d grown to love.
Some in different ways than others.
“Uncle Five, you’re always more excited than me to see Aunt Y/N,” Gracie waved him off, making you burst out laughing, “Jealousy isn’t a good look on you anyway.”
“What is a good look on him anyway?” You smirked, making the little girl laugh, as Five swept her into his arms;
“Okay, munchkin, it’s your birthday today, but tomorrow I’m going back to bullying you,” He joked, causing you both to laugh, before the two shared a hug before you, “You’re lucky your gift has no return policy.”
The party had already started by the time you made it there. The playground was huddled by other kids around Grace’s age, along with their parents. The music was playing loudly over the laughter of children and you were pretty sure that most of the family had already arrived. It was not the most ideal gathering, but you tried your best to keep in touch with most of the family to your best capabilities.
“Y/N, I’m so glad you could make it!” Luther smiled, appearing from the crowd of guests, immediately giving you a big hug as his niece was still wrapped around Five, “Haven’t seen you since Thanksgiving!”
“Big shot lawyer doesn’t always have the time to stay in touch with family, huh?” Diego teased you, following suit, as you rolled your eyes, dropping off his daughter’s gift in his hands.
“Big shot delivery driver doesn’t know the phone works both ways, huh?” You smirked, putting your hands on your hips.
Diego laughed out loud as he gave you a hug, always in the mood for a back and forth short banter with you. After all, you truly were family, even if you didn’t always have the time to be present in the Hargreeves’ day to day lives. You may have met them in the original timeline in 2019, when you accidentally time traveled with your former partner at the Commission, Five, but after all you’ve been through, you didn’t need to have grown up together or be blood related to be considered that. And you truly were grateful for each and every single one of them, in spite of the many differences over the years.
After everything that’s happened six years ago at Hotel Oblivion, everyone went their separate ways. Allison was back with her daughter while trying to further her acting career and also help Klaus stay on the sober line, Viktor had moved to Canada where he opened a bar, Diego and Lila had three kids, Luther was “professionally dancing”, Ben had some run-ins with the law and Five, ironically enough, was working for the CIA.
“Well, you two are as annoying as always,” Ben told you and his brother, making Diego roll his eyes as he walked towards the gift table to set down your present.
“Please try to stay out of prison at least for the remainder of the year,” You joked with the man, making him roll his eyes as he hugged you loosely, “There’s only so much favors I could owe the DA.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Ben groaned, “I don’t even know why they let you work at the law firm since you still look like a prepubescent with no boobs. Even Five got a growth spurt.”
“I sized up to B recently, thank you very much,” You nudged his shoulder, before placing your hands on your chest in an offended manner.
“Okay, Gracie, not a conversation you’d wanna hear,” Five spoke up, putting his niece down, “Your aunt needs to learn some etiquette on how to act around children.”
“Funny coming from you,” You couldn’t help but wave him off.
You didn’t come in with Five at the party, but as fate had it, you did run into him as you were parking your car. He had just gone out to his brother’s dusty van to bring inside some more cookies for the guests. You kept in touch with him as well, but not as often as you would have liked. It’s not all that serious, but given the fact that you were a lawyer still climbing your way to the top and him being a top notch CIA agent, you didn’t exactly have the time to hang out.
At least, not as much as you’d have liked.
Five was watching you with a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips, and his hands in his pockets. He had the same look on his face as always when watching you. He had the same smile when he saw you in combat for the first time during your first mission for the Commission together, the same look in his eyes when you appeared for the first time in 2019 alongside him in your teen bodies. The same posture he had when he met you again in 1963 after months of not seeing each other.
He wore the same love on his face while looking at you when you and the siblings split up after the events at Oblivion.
And never once did you notice that.
Not once in these past six years you let your feelings surface.
“You know Grace is my niece too, right?” He couldn’t drop the small smile even if he wanted to.
“Since when are you such a family man?” You raised a brow, trying to keep a confident composure.
“Oh, something changed in me between the first and third time I traded the world for my siblings,” He lightly shrugged his shoulders, making you roll your eyes at the sarcastic remark.
You two never changed.
“Please, I was there for the twins birth,” You waved him off.
You rarely see Five, and even when you do you always try to act normal, as you do around the rest of the Hargreeves. Everyone tried to get you two together at first, since the apocalypse was over and there was no reason for you to not get together, right?
You really wished it was that easy. In hindsight, maybe it was. But you couldn’t take any chances in losing Five forever if something were to go wrong. Maybe some would see it as something stupid, or as if you wasted so many years, but to you- mentally, you were almost seventy, while physically nineteen. You had so much time ahead of you now, all that mattered was to get a stable career first.
Five let a chuckle escape, shaking his head in disbelief, as he looked at the floor for a couple of seconds. When he looked back at you, you tried to keep your composure. You couldn’t help but feel pathetic that after all these years, your heart still skipped a beat whenever he’d look at you.
“You’re doing that thing again where you forget that some other people are still around, guys,” Luther raised his hand, grabbing your attention once again.
“I got bored of watching seventy year old virgins,” Ben shrugged his shoulders, “I’m gonna go get shitfaced.”
“Always a delight seeing you, Benjamin,” Five said, as Luther followed the ex-tentacle boy suit to make re he was not about to actually get drunk;
“This is a six year old’s birthday party!”
You giggled, watching the two brothers speed away while arguing amongst the kids in the crowd. When your eyes laid back on Five, who was intently watching you, you couldn’t help but feel a small blush creep its way in your cheeks.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Spit it out, Hargreeves.”
“I said it’s nothing!”
“Fuck you.”
“Why?”
You watched him dumbfounded for a couple of seconds because of the only answer he could come up with, before walking away, hoping he would follow you.
When he did try to keep up with you, you looked away to hide the proud smile. Even after all these years, things were still the same with him. He was still so eager to spend time with you, he was still smiling at you and entertaining your conversation.
“Aunt Y/N, Uncle Five, come play in the ball pit!” Gracie ushered you from afar, already tucked in the plastic colorful balls.
“You heard the birthday girl!” You smiled, grabbing his hand to drag Five after you.
Even after all these years he would instantly lock his fingers with yours.

🌜I know you better than anyone🌛
pairing: five hargreeves x female reader
summary: it’s been a long time since you last saw Five. due to your nieces’s birthday party, you’re forced to face him again. you can’t help but be surprised when instead of being met with hate, you realize the only thing he wants to do is help you.
genre: angst with a happy ending!
warnings: manipulation? cursing perhaps. nothing major
word count: 4k
notes: this is a little bit based on the gilmore girls scene in which jess confronts rory for dropping out of yale. i saw someone use that audio for a tiktok pov and wrote this. here’s the link to that.
It had been twenty minutes already. Two cars had tried to take your spot during that time and you’d had to awkwardly let them know that you were not leaving. You tried to do a couple of breathing exercises you vaguely remembered Klaus teaching you at some point, but this was something that could not be solved by just taking a few deep breaths in and out. After a couple more minutes had gone by, you decided it was time to put on your big girl pants and get the evening over with.
You got out of your car and opened up the trunk to pull out the gift. Needing both hands to carry it, you struggled a little bit to get it inside. The sound of screaming children filled up your ears, and you could not think of a worse place to be at right now. You spotted a few familiar faces and decided to make your way over there. After having taken a few steps, you tripped over a plastic ball from the ball pit you’d failed to notice and began stumbling as you tried to regain your balance. Mentally having prepared for the fall, you were surprised when it never came. Instead, a firm pair of hands managed to catch you, one of them holding you by the back of your head and the other pressing against the lower part of your back.
“You okay there?” He asked.
You’d known he would be here, but you certainly did not expect him to be the first person you encountered at your niece’s birthday party.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.” The uncomfortable silence was soon to settle in, and you had to fight back the urge to run back to your car.
Luckily, your attention was caught by the birthday girl herself sprinting towards you after noticing you had arrived.
“Auntie!” Grace yelled, her arms open waiting for you to hug her. You got down on your knees after setting the gift next to a nearby table and embraced the little girl tightly.
“Happy Birthday, Gracie,” you spoke next to the girl’s ear, kissing the top of her head before standing back up to retrieve the big box.
“Is that for me?” she inquired excitedly as her eyes rested upon the gift.
“Of course it’s for you! I think you’re gonna like it a lot.” You winked at her.
“Do you want some help taking it over to the gifts table?” The man who’d saved you from falling asked.
Before you had the chance to answer, Grace seemed to realize something and interrupted you.
“Look Uncle Five, she’s here!” You were a little confused by the statement, given that Five had been standing there the whole time, so it was obvious he knew you were there. However, you figured your niece was just excited about your presence and wanted everybody to know about it.
“Yes Grace, I see her.” Five replied. Based on his tone and demeanor you would’ve guessed he was embarrassed by the situation. But that didn’t make any sense to you.
The little girl turned to you and signaled for you to get on your knees again. Following suit, she cupped her hands and held them to her mouth before getting closer to your ear.
“Uncle Five was asking about you a lot before you got here,” she whispered. Your eyes instantly went to meet Five’s, and by the look on his face you could tell he had some idea of what Grace was telling you.
“I uhm, I’m gonna go get a soda,” he said before walking away. You felt utterly confused by his attitude, not understanding why he was acting the way he was. Why had he been asking about you? Based on the last time you two saw each other, his current actions were nonsensical.
Puzzled but not really being able to do much about the situation, you hugged the little girl once more and went over to the gifts table to leave the heavy box you had been carrying. From behind you, you recognized the voice of the reason why you were even here in the first place.
“That better not be another one of those loud ass toys that lights up and blasts up annoying music.”
You turned around and smiled at the man before you.
“No, this one just barks and shits.”
You enjoyed watching as the color got drained from his face by your response.
“You didn’t,” he said, more of a threat than anything else. You laughed, giving yourself away.
“No, I didn’t. Lila said no dogs. She doesn’t wanna be juggling three kids and a puppy.”
Diego let out a sigh of relief, “Good, I did not want to have that fight today.” He gave you a smile and a quick hug to welcome you.
“It’s been a while,” he said.
“It hasn’t been that long, we saw each other for the twins' recital.” You knew he didn’t mean it as a personal attack, but you couldn’t help but feel bad by what he’d said. You tried to be there as much as possible for your family, but things were different now.
“Yeah, that was two months ago!” He laughed, but you knew he didn’t find the situation funny, he was just trying not to come off too harshly.
“I’m sorry.” You shrugged.
He noticed the hint of sadness in your eyes and his own expression softened.
“It’s fine, I wish we saw each other more often but we all understand.” You chuckled a little at his lie. Certainly they didn’t all understand.
“You have no idea how much I wish that were true.” You were both quiet for a minute, mutual understanding flowing between the two.
“His hair’s gotten longer,” you spoke, breaking the silence.
“Yeah, he’s become more of an asshole also.” You both laughed. Diego moved closer to you and gave you a half hug.
“It’s going to be fine. Give it time and you’ll see.” You closed your eyes and let yourself give into his embrace. You doubted time would be able to solve anything, but it didn’t hurt to hope.
You didn’t speak to Five again for the rest of the evening. You’d caught him looking at you from a distance a couple of times, but you hadn’t been able to look at him back. After cake, you made the round of goodbyes and left the building before he got the idea of speaking to you. Back in the safety of your car, the tears came rolling down your face before you could do anything to stop them. The memories of your last encounter with Five came flooding back, and all of those times you had repressed them only worked to make them stronger now.
You had just gotten out of the shower, which you had cut short after the hot water had run out. You got dressed quickly and cursed at yourself for choosing such a cheap place to stay at. It would not surprise you to find all kinds of stains if you were to use a UV light in this room. Repulsed by the thought, you grabbed your toothbrush with the intention of cleaning your teeth when you heard a loud persistent knock on the door. You were reluctant to open up at first, but when the knocking didn’t stop, you figured it was the only way to get them to stop knocking.
Grabbing one of your knives, you made your way to the door and through the peephole noticed who the person on the other end was. You unlocked the entrance and allowed him to come inside.
He looked agitated, his brows furrowed in a prominent frown. His hair was all over the place, drastically different to how it usually looked.
“So, you weren’t going to tell me that you were leaving?” Of course you hadn’t told him, you knew this was exactly what he would’ve done if you’d told him.
“I knew you would try to stop me,” you spoke softly, not wanting him to get any more agitated than he already was.
“What kind of idiotic response is that? Of course I would’ve tried to stop you.” His words stung.
“I can’t do this right now, Five. I’ve already made up my mind and I’m at peace with my choice.” You tried to sound as convincing as possible.
“It’s a stupid decision you’re making and I’m not gonna stand here and let you make it.”
“It’s already done, there’s nothing I can do about it,” you felt your voice getting weaker, but you didn’t want to break in front of him.
“Of course there is, I’ll help you get out of it. I’ve done it before.” He didn’t understand any of it, and he could certainly not fix it either.
“Five…” you began.
“Look, I know you, I know you better than anyone. This isn’t you.” Of course he was right, but you couldn’t admit that to him. Instead, you chose to remain quiet.
“What are you doing? Living at this cheap motel, working for The Commission, leaving us behind- why did you leave me behind?” He looked away, not being able to hold your gaze at the moment. You knew that what had hurt him the most is that you hadn’t told him you were leaving. You hadn’t come to him to let him know you were going back to the place you both had tried so hard to escape from in the first place.
“It’s.. complicated,” you said.
“It’s not! It’s not complicated,” he yelled.
“You don’t know!” You wished you could explain it all to him, but he couldn’t know the truth.
“This isn’t you! This- you going back to working for The Handler. We did the impossible to get away from her.”
“She’s not the same woman she once was…” You tried to defend her, not even believing it yourself.
He ran his hand through his hair with anger, frustrated by your answers.
“This isn’t about her, screw her! What’s going on with you? This isn’t you, you know it isn’t. What’s going on?” He walked closer to you, watching you intensely.
“I don’t know,” you admitted.
“Come home. To hell with all of this! Just- just come home.” He took your hands in his, silently pleading with you.
Knowing there was only one way out of this, you decided you had to do this in order to keep him and the rest safe.
“Home? What exactly is home? This is your family you keep talking about, not mine. The Handler is the one who took me in and gave me a place to live when no one else would. Grow up Five! You think this is how I wanna spend the rest of my days? In this fucked up timeline where we don’t even have our powers?  No way I’m staying here, so I would appreciate it if you stopped claiming to know better than me and left me alone for once.” You broke your hands free from his hold and walked to the entrance to hold the door open for him. He hesitated for a few moments before following you to the door.
“So what? You and I- none of it matters anymore? You’re just choosing to throw it all away?”
“This has nothing to do with us, nothing to do with you. I can’t always put you above everything else.” Knowing that was exactly what you were doing was the worst part of this.
“I always have,” he said, sounding defeated.
“Well I guess that’s the difference between you and I.” You put the last nail on the coffin.
With that, Five left the room and stood in the hall.
“When you regret this, and you will regret this, don’t come crawling back to me or my family,” he said before walking away. Based on his words, you knew you’d managed to hurt him a great deal. He was not going to come back now, which both relieved you and made you want to crawl into your bed and cry for hours on end.
That was the last time you had seen Five before today.
A couple of years after The Handler had taken Lila in, she found you under similar circumstances and chose to raise you as well. The two of you grew up as sisters, carrying out all sorts of missions for the woman you learnt to call mother. Soon, your power began showing and you realized you had been blessed with time control, which came in handy as it meant you didn’t need to use a briefcase for your line of work. One day, you’d chosen to visit the world post-apocalypse, something you knew your mother would never approve of. As you walked through the ruins of what used to be planet Earth, you noticed there was someone else here with you. At first, you thought it must be someone from The Commission, as any other answer was simply not possible. However, upon closer inspection, you realized he wasn’t someone who you’d seen before. That was the first time you’d met Five, and after almost being shot by him, you managed to strike a conversation with him. Soon, you two became close, and after a couple of times of visiting him, you decided to bring him back to the headquarters, risking your mother’s rage.
She wasn’t thrilled about it at first, and threatened you in multiple ways after finding out what you had done. But after watching Five successfully accomplish his first mission, she allowed him to stay. When you’d met him, he’d confessed to having spent six years already surviving on his own, and you could only imagine how much longer he would’ve spent there if you hadn’t found him.
He also told you about his family and how he wished he could get back to them, which is how he slowly began convincing you to help him out. It wasn’t easy, as you hadn’t been on board with the idea in the beginning, but after working together and earning each other’s trust, you had agreed to help him.
You sneaked out one day and left alongside Five to get him back to his family. That was the first time they failed to stop the apocalypse. The second time, Lila was involved, and after getting over her initial anger at you for leaving her behind, she joined you and the others.
You thought you had managed to leave the life you had once led behind. That you were safe now with Five and your newly found family. However, you were proven wrong when one day, The Handler appeared inside your own home, sitting on your couch.
“Long time no see.” Her voice made your blood go ice cold.
“What are you doing here?” You asked.
“Is that the proper way to greet your mother?”
“What do you want?” You insisted.
“You didn’t think I would seriously allow you to walk out with two of my best agents, now did you? I would’ve thought I raised you to be smarter than that.” You knew at that moment that whatever this was, it wasn’t going to end well for you.
“I didn’t take anyone with me, they chose to leave on their own.” You clenched your fists, ready for whatever was about to go down.
“Well, in that case then I think I’ll just go then. Thanks for clearing that up.” She stood up and prepared to leave, but you knew it was not going to be this easy. Right on cue, she turned towards you and spoke again.
“Before I leave though, I thought you should know I have agents right now placed all over to take shots at that precious little family of yours.” Your jaw clenched.
“I don’t believe you.”
She smiled at you, “That is up to you, sweetheart, but do you really want to risk baby Grace taking a shot to the head because her aunt didn’t do anything to protect her?” You wanted to strangle her, but you knew that wasn’t going to fix anything.
“What do you want?” You asked for a second time.
She faked thinking about it for a second, as if she didn’t already know exactly what she wanted from you.
“I want you to come back to work for me. I want you to do it today without telling anyone, especially that little special friend of yours.”
“Who? Five?” You didn’t like that she was paying special attention to him during this conversation.
“Bingo! You speak a word of this to him and he gets a bullet in the brain. And now that he doesn’t seem to have his powers anymore, don’t think he’s gonna be able to get out of this unharmed.” You felt shivers run down your whole body at the thought.
“What do you even gain from this? I can’t even travel through time anymore, I’m useless to you without my powers.” You didn’t understand why she’d want you back specifically. Both Lila and Five were far more skilled than you.
“You need to learn there are consequences to your own actions. This is your consequence.” You could hear the satisfaction in her voice.
“There’s a briefcase waiting for you at this address. Don’t be late, your first assignment is tomorrow morning.” She handed you a piece of paper you shoved into your pocket, knowing there was no way out of this. Maybe, if you all had your powers, you could figure out a solution, but in the state you were all in, the only way to keep everybody safe was to do what The Handler wanted you to do. You could already feel your heart breaking, hating her even more for doing this to you.
You jumped when you heard a knock on the window of your car, being too lost in thought to notice someone had been approaching you. You quickly wiped your tears with the back of your hand and tried to look presentable before rolling down the window.
“You left without having any cake.” Five was standing outside your car, two paper plates with servings of chocolate cake on them.
“I needed to get back to work,” you lied, hoping he would leave you alone.
“Well, I’ve been watching you sit in your car ever since you left so I’m not buying that.” Of course he’d been watching you cry pathetically all this time.
“Open up?” he requested. Knowing that he wasn’t going to leave until he got what he wanted, you unlocked the doors and allowed him to get into the passenger seat. He handed you one of the plates and you rested it on your lap, knowing you weren’t going to be able to eat it without making yourself sick given the situation you were in.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” he blurted out. You opened up your mouth to deny it but he beat you to it.
“Don’t try to deny it. For the past year everytime you find out I’m gonna be somewhere you suddenly have to cancel. Happened with Claire’s science fair, happened with Luther’s barbeque and it happened with Grace’s play,” he listed. Of course he was right, but you weren’t going to admit that to him.
“I’ve just been very busy,” you said.
“Why didn’t you want to see me?” His question took you by surprise. You thought that after your last conversation he was the one that wouldn't want to see you again.
“I think it’s best if we keep our distance from one another.”
He looked taken aback, hurt, even. Great, you were causing even more damage now.
“Best? Best for who? You or me?”
“You said not to come back looking for you.” You didn’t want to throw in his face the words he’d spoken in a moment of anger, but you needed an excuse to get out of this.
“You and I both know I didn’t mean any of that. I was angry that you were choosing to leave, but I didn’t want things to end up like this. I’m sorry.” He stared at his plate, toying with the fork. You could only imagine he couldn’t stomach taking a bite as well.
“Things are complicated, Five. This is how they need to be.”
“Then explain them to me. I’m not an idiot, I know you’re doing this under some sort of manipulation from The Handler, I just can’t figure out what she has on you that made you go back.” He stopped staring at his cake to shift his gaze towards your face. He looked broken, almost as broken as you.
“I can’t- I can’t tell you anything.” You knew that by saying that you were admitting to not doing things freely, but you hoped it would be enough to get him to understand your motives.
“Whatever it is, I can help. You need to trust me.”
“How will you help me? What would you do if she sent people here to kill you? How are you going to defend yourself?” You were growing more agitated.
“Is that what this is about? She’s threatened to hurt me?” You stayed quiet, giving him the confirmation that he needed.
“I can take care of myself, or are you forgetting that I managed to survive years on my own in a post-apocalyptic world? None of that had anything to do with my powers. I understand that you’re scared, but that’s what we’re here for.”
He always oversimplified things. Made it seem as if you were the one exaggerating, as if he could just make everything better.
“Maybe you can take care of yourself, but what about the kids? What about Klaus? Have you seen him lately?”
He chuckled at your words, lightening up the mood.
“Okay, maybe you’re right, but you should’ve come to me first with all of this. I’ve been taking care of my family for years, and will continue to do so considering how stupid they constantly prove to be.”
It was your turn to chuckle now.
“I promise you we’ll figure something out together. Key word being together.” He took one of your hands in his.
“I’m not gonna let you continue to deal with this on your own.” He looked determined to keep his promise, which is why you allowed yourself to feel a glimmer of hope.
“If something were to happen to any of them, then it would be on me,” you said, staring at your lap in shame.
He used his free hand to cup your cheek and force you to look at him.
“Nothing’s going to happen. We’ve survived worse. And if something were to happen, it wouldn’t be your fault. None of this is your fault,” he reassured you.
“Please trust me, love,” he said, the nickname slipping out, taking you back to better times, easier times.
“I really want to,” you admitted, tears welling up in your eyes.
“Then do.” He moved closer to you, letting go of your hand to grab your face with both of his hands. He put his forehead to yours and allowed you to stay like that for a second.
“I don’t think I can tolerate losing you a second time,” he whispered against your lips.
“You won’t,” you whispered back.
Soon, his lips were against yours, falling back into routine as if nothing had happened between you two. One of his hands moved to your waist, tightening his grip on you. The kiss turned more intense as he began moving with more force, showing you how much he’d missed you. Your hand got lost in his hair, enjoying the new length. He pulled away and smiled against your lips.
“I missed you so much,” he said. You shared the feeling, regretting how you’d chosen to handle things. There was a lot at stake, a lot you needed to figure out, but what mattered is that you would do that together. No matter what happened from now on, you had each other to fall back onto.

A Day with Uncle Klaus
Five Hargreeves x reader
A/N: I hope you forgive me that this little story is more about Maddie and her uncle Klaus. Can you imagine how sweet Klaus would be to his little niece?
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
Maddie Hargreeves, the six-year-old daughter of Five and Y/N, was a bundle of energy. She had inherited her father's curiosity and her mother's kindness, but she also had a unique gift of her own: the ability to make things float. Today, she was set to spend the day with her favorite uncle, Klaus, known for his mischievous charm and penchant for chaos.
"Are you sure you're up for this?" Y/N asked, her eyes filled with a mix of amusement and concern.
Klaus waved a dismissive hand. "Please, I've dealt with spirits, apocalypses, and your husband. How much trouble can one little girl with telekinesis be?"
Y/N chuckled, giving Maddie a kiss on the forehead. "Have fun, sweetie. And listen to Uncle Klaus, okay?"
Maddie nodded eagerly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Okay, Mommy!"
As they set off, Klaus and Maddie walked hand in hand, ready for their adventure.
Their first stop was the local market. Klaus thought it would be fun to show Maddie around the bustling stalls, filled with vibrant colors and delicious smells. As they wandered through the market, Maddie's eyes grew wide with wonder.
"Can I make things float, Uncle Klaus?" she asked, her small hand tugging at his sleeve.
Klaus grinned. "Of course, just be careful not to cause too much of a scene."
Maddie nodded, concentrating hard on a bunch of apples at a nearby stall. Slowly, they began to rise into the air, floating gently above the vendor's head.
The vendor looked up, eyes wide. "What in the world?"
Klaus quickly stepped in, snatching the apples from the air and placing them back on the stall. "Sorry about that! Just a little magic trick."
The vendor, still bewildered, shook his head but eventually laughed it off. Klaus winked at Maddie, who giggled.
Next, they headed to a nearby park, where Klaus had brought along a kite. As they found a clear spot, Klaus handed the kite to Maddie. "Want to see if you can make this fly without any wind?"
Maddie nodded eagerly, gripping the kite string tightly. She focused, and the kite began to lift off the ground, soaring high into the sky.
"Look, Uncle Klaus! It's flying!" Maddie exclaimed, jumping up and down with excitement.
Klaus laughed, clapping his hands. "That's amazing, Maddie! You're a natural."
They spent the next hour making various objects float around the park, much to the amazement of passersby. A couple of ducks quacked in confusion as they found themselves hovering a few inches above the pond, and a group of kids cheered when their soccer ball started floating in mid-air.
As the afternoon wore on, Klaus decided it was time for a treat. They went to an ice cream parlor, where Maddie insisted on trying the most colorful flavor available. They sat outside, enjoying their ice cream and watching the world go by.
"Uncle Klaus, do you think Daddy can make things float too?" Maddie asked between licks of her cone.
Klaus chuckled. "No, your daddy has other cool powers. But you're special, Maddie. You've got a gift."
Maddie beamed, her face covered in ice cream. "I like my gift. It's fun."
Their final stop was a little craft store where Klaus had promised Maddie she could pick out something special. Maddie chose a set of colorful beads and strings to make bracelets. As they paid and left the store, Maddie couldn't resist making the beads float in a sparkling, swirling dance above their heads.
People around them gasped and pointed, but Maddie just giggled, enjoying the spectacle she was creating.
"You're causing quite a stir, Maddie," Klaus said, grinning. "Let's get home before we end up on the news."
When they finally returned home, Y/N and Five were waiting, curious to hear about their day.
"Did you have fun?" Y/N asked, pulling Maddie into a hug.
Maddie nodded vigorously. "It was the best day ever! We made apples float, flew a kite without wind, and even made ducks hover!"
Five raised an eyebrow at Klaus. "Ducks?"
Klaus shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, it was all in good fun."
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "Thank you, Klaus. It sounds like you both had a wonderful day."
Maddie yawned, her energy finally waning. "Can we do it again, Uncle Klaus?"
Klaus smiled, giving her a gentle hug and a kiss on the forehead. "Anytime, kiddo. Anytime."
As Maddie was tucked into bed, her eyes already closing, Five and Y/N looked at each other and smiled.
"She had a great day," Y/N said softly.
Five nodded, wrapping an arm around her. "Yeah, she did. Thanks to Uncle Klaus."
In the living room, Klaus settled onto the couch with a contented sigh. He might have been the family wild card, but today, he felt like a hero in his niece's eyes. And that was more than enough.

As Seen on Disney
Warnings: slight mentions of child abandonment, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Viktor Hargreeves x daughter reader, Hargreeves siblings x niece reader
Request: Hello may I request platonic Hargreeves with Vanya! Daughter reader? Like maybe Vanya found us in a basket in front of her door and was like "welp, might as well" (this takes place in first season) and for some reason we have a Disney vibe™️ if reader burst in a song other people join and know the lyrics and dance, she can underastand animals, etc. Like Giselle from Enchanted but reader is kind of embarrased. I just want everyone to be dumbfonded by this real life Disney princess
Request by: Anon

Summary: Viktor finally introduces you to his siblings
A/n: This kinda sucks, sorry
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
“Guys,” Viktor cleared his throat, almost nervously, “I want you to meet my daughter, Y/n.”
All of his siblings froze, their eyes snapping over to where he stood in the doorway of the living room, watching as he gently beckoned to someone from off to the side.
Slowly, you shuffled into view with your head hung low, eyes flitting up to everyone in the room for a second before immediately skirting away again, “Hi,” You whispered shyly.
“D-daughter?” Diego stuttered out, unable to wrap his mind around the fact that his own brother had a child he never knew about.
“Not biologically!” Viktor immediately assured them, “But a few years ago she was left on my doorstep with a note talking about how her mother didn’t know anyone else that could take care of her.”
Allison raised an eyebrow, “Do you know her mother?”
Viktor shook his head lightly, “No, no, it’s not like that. It’s-“
“I’m like you guys,” You blurted out, face reddening at your own words.
Fives eyebrows shot up, “Like us in the way of having special abilities?”
“Exactly like that,” Viktor confirmed, reaching over and rubbing your back comfortingly, “I was going to tell you guys about her during dads funeral but then everything happened and I never got the chance.”
“Ooh!” Klaus squealed, bounding over and scooping you up in his arms, “I have another neice! Which isn’t saying much because I never met Claire, but-“
“Put her down, you moron,” Five hissed, sauntering over and slapping his brothers hands away, “You’re probably making her uncomfortable.”
You shook your head a little bit, “No, it’s alright.” You whispered.
“So, kid,” Diego said, bracing his arms on his knees as he leaned forward, “What is it that you can do?”
And all at once, you seemed to crawl back into your shell and your eyes averted themselves to the ground once more where you were kicking your shoe back and forth slightly.
“She can talk to animals,” Viktor told them for you, “It’s okay,” He whispered just for you to hear, “They’ll understand.”
You looked up at him for a moment, reading his eyes, before shyly looking back at your aunt and uncles and whispering, “I can also sing.”
“What do you mean by that?” Luther asked out of pure curiosity.
“It’s like a Disney movie,” Your father offered helpfully, “She can’t control it, but it happens a lot where she randomly breaks into song.”
It’s silent for a moment, one that had you holding your breath and your heart hammering from not only anticipation for how they would react, but from sheer embarrassment of it all.
“That is so cool!” Klaus suddenly exclaimed, “Show me! Show me! Show me!” He was bouncing up and down like a child.
Relief flooded through you like a tsunami wave and you cracked a small smile at the fact that they weren’t weirded out or disgusted by what you could do.
“She can’t control it,” Five hissed before rolling his eyes at the man, “God, don’t you listen to anything?”
“That is so cool!” Allison agreed, walking over and crouching in front of you before embracing you gently, “And it’s very nice to meet you, Y/n.” A chorus of agreements sounded from the rest of the siblings.
Your grin widened as you made eye contact with your father, who grinned widely at you back. Not just you, but he too had been dreading and been so nervous for how today was going to go that when it actually went well, it felt like a giant weight was being lifted off of your shoulders.

Babysitting | F.H
Paring: Five Hargreeves X Fem!Reader
Summary: After a gone wrong mission Five(19) babysits his five year old niece, Claire.
To say Five was having a tough week would be putting it lightly. The male hadn’t felt so much pain and sorrow in his entire life. The apocalypse was awful. He couldn’t deny that but this– was ten times worse.
Five never expected for something to go so damn wrong. He never expected to have to go through this pain in his life, but here he is, lying in bed, not being able to sleep.
He hadn’t really slept since the incident. A couple of naps here and there but never a full night's rest. His mind was torturing him. All he heard were screams of agony and cries.
The apartment they shared went from such a warm atmosphere to shivering cold within just a day of change. Five hated it. He wanted to scream, to cry, to yell, to be angry, but he couldn’t– not anymore at least.
Five was lying in their shared bed when a doorbell rang. He sighed and shuffled out of bed. The male's appearance showed absolutely no care. Hair was skewed, eyes were red along with his cheeks, transparent trails of tears on his cheeks, and his under eyes dark.
Lazily the male opened the door to be met with his sister and his niece, “ Hey Five, I- I know this week has been challenging. “ Allison nervously began looking at her heartbroken nineteen-year-old brother.
“ But I’m going out with a guy, and Claire refused to go with anyone else. She wouldn’t let anyone babysit her except Uncle Fivey. “ Allison spoke, giving a soft smile, “ If you aren’t up to it, I’ll bring her to Klaus, but I figured why not give it a shot? “
Five looked down at his five-year-old niece, “ I’ll take care of her. You go. “ Five murmured, “ Are you sure? “ Allison whispered as Claire ran into the apartment sitting on the couch.
“ Mhm. “ Five hummed, and Allison embraced him, “ It's going to be okay. “ Allison spoke as she pulled away.
Five tried his best to smile, “ I know. Now you go have fun. I’ll take care of Claire. “
“ Thank you! “ Allison exclaimed as she walked away, and Five shut the door.
The brunette turned to look at the young girl on his couch and gave a subtle smile. Five shuffled towards the couch and took a seat beside her. Claire moved to sit in his lap.
“ Thank you, Uncle Five. “ Claire spoke as she hugged him, “ You’re welcome, princess. “ Five responded as tears flooded his eyes.
Five’s sniffles are what made Claire pull away and look at him, “ Why are you crying? “
“ It’s just been a tough week. But I’m glad I get to spend some time with you, princess. “ Five admitted as he wiped his tears, “ D- Did Auntie Y/n have something to do with it? “ Claire hesitantly asked, and Five nodded.
“ A- Auntie Y/n will never be back, princess. “ Five softly spoke as his eyes flooded with tears, “ W- What do you mean? “ The young girl asked as her eyes began to do the same.
Five sniffled again, “ S- She’s gone and never coming back. “ The male responded as he wiped a tear coming from Claire’s eye.
Claire bursted into tears, hugging Five as tight as she could. Her hands balled up the material of the hoodie he was wearing in the back. The hoodie was Y/n’s, her favorite hoodie, and she wore it everywhere.
Both relatives cried in each other’s arms, grieving for their lost someone. Claire was devastated, and Five felt so at fault for her death. Y/n was a ball of light, and she was the only one to keep Five sane through everything.
The apocalypse, the commission, saving the world, everything. She was there to keep his sanity. Y/n was there to hold him on the bad days, keep him smiling on the good days, and calm him on days where his temper couldn’t be controlled.
Now she was gone, and it was devastating for the whole family. Diego and Five, we’re definitely hit the most along with Claire now. Claire sniffled and pulled away from her Uncle, looking him in the eyes.
“ You’re the best Uncle ever. “ Claire mumbled, and Five smiled softly, “ Thank you. You’re the best niece ever. “ Five replied, holding her close to his chest.
Claire looked up at her crumbling uncle, “ Auntie Y/n would be proud of you. “ Claire began, and Fives eyes were still flooding, “ She knows you’re strong, and I’m sure she’s here with you. Uncle Klaus talks all the time about Uncle Ben being with him. Maybe Auntie Y/n is with you like Uncle Ben is with Uncle Klaus. “ Claire inferred.
“ I’m sure she is. “ Five whimpered, “ W- What happened? “ Claire questioned.
Five pulled Claire up from his lap and sat her directly on his lap, making her face him, “ Auntie Y/n and I had a mission to do. “ Five began, “ Like killing bad guys? “ Claire asked with a side smile.
Five chuckled, “ Yeah, killing bad guys. The mission went really well at first, we stuck to our plan, and everything was working out. “ The brunette male began as the tears came back, “ We thought we finished everyone off until when we started exiting the building, a shot went off. “
“ Th- The shot hit Y/n right in the chest, and I couldn’t get her to the academy in time because of how drained I was from the mission. “ Five cried, “ I- I’m so sorry, princess. “
Claire hugged her, crying Uncle tight, “ It’s not your fault. “ Claire comforted, “ That’s exactly what Auntie told me before she passed. “ Five muttered.
Claire sat there with her favorite Uncle as he cried his eyes out. Claire cried too, into his hoodie as they both held onto her. Five sniffled and lifted her off his lap.
“ Uncle Fivey, where are you going? “ Claire’s concerned voice asked, “ I’ll be right back, princess. “ Five responded as he walked into their shared bedroom.
Five walked into the bedroom and near her vanity, which held all her jewelry. There laid a necklace with her name on it, one she wore all the time. In fact, she never took it off. Carefully he took the gold necklace in his hands and walked out of the bedroom.
The door shut with a click, and Five plopped back down on the couch beside his tear stained niece, “ Come here. “ Five softly spoke as he patted his lap.
Claire crawled onto his lap again, “ This is a necklace that Auntie Y/n wore all the time. “ Five began as he showed her the chain, “ I think she would want you to have it. “ Five said as he put the necklace on his niece.
The young girl's hands immediately went to the nameplate necklace around her neck, looking at the gold cursive with her Aunties name on it.
“ Do you like it? “ Five asked nervously, and Claire embraced him tightly, “ I love it. Thank you, Uncle Fivey. “ Claire smiled brightly.
For the first time in a week, Five smiled genuinely, “ I’m glad. “
Claire snuggled upon him while Five played one of her favorite movies on the tv screen. Eventually, they both fell asleep, and when Allison didn’t get a response from knocking on the door, she opened it with her key.
The only light in the room was from the tv still playing, and Allison saw the two sleeping together. Her brother was finally getting sleep. Gently she picked up a blanket and covered both of them.
Allison wrote a note on the counter that she’d pick up Claire in the morning and then left the apartment. Five woke up the next morning with Claire on his chest. The male smiled and kissed her forehead before moving out from under her.
Quietly the Hargreeves boy began making breakfast, and once Five was almost done, Claire had woke up.
“ Uncle Fivey? “ Claire groggily called out from the couch, “ I’m here, princess. “ Five replied.
Claire got up from the couch and sat at one of the barstools around the island. Five placed her breakfast on a plate for the young girl. Claire began eating along with her uncle.
“ After we eat breakfast, I’m going to bring you back home, okay? “ Five said as he swallowed his food, “ Okay. “ Claire responded as she chewed.
Eventually, both of them finished eating, and they walked out to the car. Five drove to Allison’s house, which wasn’t far from their apartment but still far enough to drive. He walked his niece to the door.
Before he could knock, Claire spoke, “ Will you be okay? “
“ Of course I will, princess. “ Five responded, kissing her cheek.
Five knocked on the door, and Allison appeared, “ Hey Claire. How was Uncle Fivey’s house? “ Allison questioned as she picked up her daughter, “ It was good. He gave me this necklace. “ Claire replied as she showed Allison Y/n’s necklace.
Five stood sheepishly at the door, “ Did he now? “ Allison teased, “ Yeah! “ Claire verified.
Allison put her daughter down and let Claire run off into the house. Expectantly Allison stared at her brother while he stood at her door.
“ I never thought you’d give that away. We both know that was something Y/n treasured. “ Allison began baffled, “ I- I thought Claire could use it more than I would. I mean, I have tons of Y/n’s belongings. Claire doesn’t. I thought the necklace would be perfect. “ Five nervously stuttered.
Allison sighed and brought Five in for a hug, “ I’ll make sure she takes care of it. “ Allison muttered, “ Good. “ Five responded.
“ I’m gonna go home and maybe look through some of her stuff. Perhaps that’ll make me feel better. “ Five-spoke as he pulled away from the hug, “ Okay. If you need anyone don’t hesitate to call. “ Allison reminded.
“ I won’t. “ Five said, giving a reassuring smile.
Five drove back to the cold apartment and sighed. He kicked off his shoes and threw his keys on the counter. Five sat on the couch where he sat with Claire the previous day and just stared into nothingness.
“ Fuck. “

Summary: Your father was unavailable, but you needed someone. How about a lot of someone’s? Like all your favorite uncles and aunt?
A/N: This one was fun to write
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
“She did not!” Klaus gasped dramatically, as if gossiping, into the old fashioned phone, putting a hand over his mouth for good measure.
“What’s going on?” Allison asked, walking into the kitchen and looking around in confusion.
Viktor was sitting at the table with his head in his hand, using his other one to drum his fingers across the wood of the tabletop and glancing up at Klaus every once in a while. And Luther sat across from him, eating a sandwich.
The blonde haired man shrugged, taking another bite of his food as Klaus shushed all three of them.
“Don’t you worry,” He continued to speak to the person on the other side of the call, “I will be there right away.”
With that he hung up.
Barely a second later he started giggling into the hand that he put over his mouth.
Five walked in and rolled his eyes slightly, “What’s got you grinning like an idiot, over there?”
“I-“ The man giggled again, “I just got a call from Y/n’s principal saying that her parent or guardian needs to go to the school right away because n/n got into a fight!”
Everybody’s jaws dropped, “N/n got into a fight?” Luther asked in shock, unable to picture you fighting anybody.
Only for the fact that your father threatened to ground you for life if you ever did again, not because he didn’t think you wouldn’t gladly get into a fight. You were your fathers daughter after all. Diego was always up for a fight, and you didn’t take his threats lightly, especially since you were only ten years old and in a phase where you took everything said to you very literally.
“But Diego’s out of town for the day.” Allison frowned.
“I know!” Klaus exclaimed happily, “That’s why I’m going in his place!”
“Are we sure that’s the best idea?” Viktor gave him a meaningful look.
He just moved his hand, as if waving off the idea, “Oh, yes, everything is going to be splendid.”
Allison’s hand shot in the air, “Am I the only one who feels like we need to stop that?”
“How about we all go?” Five suggested, rubbing his temples to ward off an oncoming headache.
Viktor shrugged in return and Allison nodded.
Klaus clapped his hands together, “Ooh, wonderful! Let’s go right away!”
“Wait guys!” Luther shouted, mouth full as he tried to stuff down the last of his sandwich while watching his siblings leave the room.
Right before exiting the house, Klaus made sure to leave a message- in very messy handwriting- on a paper near the door telling Diego to go to your school ASAP once he got back.
The ten minute car ride over was filled with screaming, fighting over control of the aux, Five almost getting pulled over for speeding, and Ben appearing and then wishing that he hadn’t.
After parking, everybody filed- more like stumbled- out of the car and in through the doors of the main office, their speaking volume nearly giving the elementary school receptionist a heart attack.
Five had been the one to calmly step forward and tell her that they were here for you- your aunt and uncles- and she had been too busy pointing a shaky finger at the waiting area to even question the clear differences between all of them.
After about five minutes of Ben and Klaus arguing over a seat, Luther falling asleep in his own, Five reading a discarded newspaper, and Allison and Viktor looking like they wanted to be with anyone but them, the principal's office door opened and they were all beckoned in.
They quickly piled in, quickly taking in the sight of you sitting in a chair facing the principals large desk, with a small girl and her parents a couple feet away.
As soon as your uncles and aunt filled the room, you looked up with a large grin, jumping into Viktors arms, “Vicky!” You cheered, hugging him tight.
Your principal was quick to clear his throat obnoxiously before your uncle could even hug back, “Ms. Hargreeves, that is no way to behave.” His scolding was very unnecessary in the eyes of your relatives.
He clearly hadn’t been expecting all these people, because there were only two chairs next to you, which Allison quickly sat down in, and Klaus pushed Luther out of the way to sit in the other.
“Which one of you are her parents?” He asked quite rudely with a raised eyebrow.
“Oh, that would be none of us.” Five spoke up from the wall he was leaning against, eyes narrowing, “We are her uncles and aunt, her father couldn’t make it at the moment.”
The principal's eyes quickly cast down to his desk, uncomfortable, “I see.”
The other girl's mom, who’s whole family had been yet to say anything, finally spoke up, “I believe we should get started?” Her words were a question, but her tone was a demand.
“Yes, very well.” He said, sitting up straighter and adjusting his tie, “As you had been informed earlier, Y/n started a fight today at recess.”
“Wait,” Allison said, holding up a hand and raising an eyebrow, “She started the fight?” She found that hard to believe.
After Diego’s threat about being grounded for life, you had been so scared to never eat dessert again that you didn’t even play-fight with Uncle Luther anymore.
The mom was quick to nod, “Oh, yes. She obviously hit my daughter first, and then she only hit back out of self defense.” Her voice was matter-of-fact and snotty.
Five rolled his eyes, “Shocker, your daughter only hit back out of,” he held up air quotes, “‘Self defense’ when Y/n would never start a fight.”
The woman whipped around, nostrils flaring, “Is there something you would like to say to me, young man?” She challenged.
Just as he was about to push off the wall to accept the challenge, Viktor put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down, “Why don’t you tell us what happened, Y/n.”
You finally looked up from your spot where you had been kicking the ground, and watched the reassuring faces of your family as you spoke, avoiding eye contact with the glaring mother and father on the other side of the room.
“Well,” You mumbled sheepishly, “I was just trying to play in the sandbox when she came up to me and told me that it was her sandbox and that if I didn’t get out she would hit me.” You took a deep breath before continuing, “I said no because it was still my turn, but she didn’t like that so she threw sand in my eyes and pushed me. And when I was falling my leg accidently hit her and she fell down too.”
When you finished you had tears in your eyes.
Once your family saw this, it made Allison sit up straighter, Klaus become more serious, Luther’s eyebrows to furrow, Ben to glare at the other girl slightly, Viktor to reach out and rub your back comfortingly, and for Five's fists to clench.
The principal studied you for a moment before slowly turning to look at the other little girl, “Is that what happened?”
At first she shook her head, but then you glared at her and snapped, “You get into more trouble if you lie about it then if you tell the truth.” Something your dad used to say to you when you would deny eating the last cookie after he told you not to.
Her eyes widened, and then the tears began flooding out of her eyes.
She let out a sob as they continued cascading down her cheeks like a waterfall and she hiccuped a couple times before saying, “It’s true! I did do that!”
Her parents' eyes widened as they looked down at her and their mouths opened and closed like fish.
From behind you, all your uncles and aunt adopted smug looks.
“W-well she should have just gotten out of the sandbox!” Her mom stuttered out, standing up and pointing at you accusingly.
Then all hell broke loose.
That was the last straw for your family.
Allison stood up immediately and started a yelling match with the other mom, each one of them getting louder every time sound came out of their mouth.
The dad started glaring at you and Luther immediately moved in front of you to block his view of you, Five following close behind.
Both of them began snapping at the man, telling him off and giving him a good scolding.
The little girl, who was still crying, had started to bawl even harder and Klaus came up next to her and started telling her about the time he lied and his nose grew.
He didn’t exactly tell her that it didn’t actually happen to him, he was just talking about the old movie, Pinocchio.
Even though nobody could see him, Ben was glaring at the principal, who looked around nervously, as if he could feel someone watching him.
Just then, the door opened, but nobody seemed to notice, even you were too busy watching everything else going on around you.
“What the-“ Diego asked, stopping short when all the chaos in the room immediately shut off as everyone noticed his presence.
“Oh!” Klaus looked delighted as he turned around, “Did you get my note?”
“Yeah, I got the note.” The man said, eyebrows furrowed in both confusion and concern.
“Daddy!” You cheered, hopping out of your chair and running into his arms.
This time, the principal was too afraid to scold you.
After that, Allison had flipped her hair over her shoulder dramatically and taken you out of Diego’s arms, strutting out of the room, the rest of your family quickly following.
It was safe to say that the principal or that girl never seemed to have a problem with you again after that. Your family just seemed to scare them too much. You honestly had no idea why.
Even better though, you weren’t even grounded for getting into a fight, Uncle Klaus then used that as an excuse to take everybody out to ice cream. With Five buying, of course.

Hargreeves Holidays | F.H
Paring: Five Hargreeves X Fem!Reader
Summary: A Christmas holiday with the Hargreeves.
Waking up on Christmas Day always felt like a typical day in the Hargreeves Manor. However, the kids were older now, and their guardian was dead. Luther had found a place of his own; Diego still lived in his room at the gym. Allison had a house of her own where she and Claire lived. After many court dates and lawyers, Allison proved worthy to have her daughter back in her custody, which the Hargreeves were more than excited to meet their new niece.
Klaus had remained sober for months now. Even though he found no one else to love aside from Dave, he remained sober. Klaus lived in a tiny apartment not far from the Hargreeves Manor. Ben Hargreeves followed Klaus around as per usual and couldn’t be happier at his sober brother. Vanya remained in her apartment. Finally, Y/n and Five both lived together in a shared apartment. A one-bedroom and two bathroom apartment they adored.
In completion of many many arguments, the Hargreeves decided to celebrate Christmas for the first year at Y/n and Five’s apartment. It had been five years since the apocalypse scenario had ended. They had officially stopped the apocalypse. It gave Y/n and Five the chance to work on their relationship, to be an actual couple.
Five couldn’t be happier; neither could Y/n. Granted, when their relationship was brought to light, it was kind of surprising. Their siblings never thought in a million years they would end up together. On the contrary, time works in weird ways, and they did. Waking up every morning to her in his arms made him feel loved.
Just days before this one, Y/n was stressing out over how to make this the best holiday possible. Meanwhile, her significant other, Five, was no help. All he wanted her to do was snuggle with her on the couch, which she would’ve been more than happier to do if her schedule wasn’t full. After enough persuasion from Five, she agreed just to rest her nerves.
And that’s how they needed up where they are now. Y/n was cuddled against Fives chest as he had his arms around her, pulling her close and protectively. The light began to come through the blinds of their bedroom, making Five wake up. His eyes fluttered open, and almost instinctively, he kissed Y/n’s forehead just like he did every morning.
He saw her eyes closed and felt her even breathing, indicating she was still asleep. Slowly he brought his hand up from her back to her head and ran his fingers through her hair, knowing it always calmed her. He hated to see her stressed, so to see her calm and at ease made him want her to stay like that as long as possible. Eventually, she woke up.
“ Goodmorning Love. “ Five whispered as she tried to snuggle closer to him.
She groaned, “ It’s too early. “ Y/n replied, making Five chuckle.
“ Okay, love. “ He smiled, leaning down to kiss her nose.
So the two significant others laid like that just for a couple more minutes. Before Five decided it was time for his daily morning coffee. So he let go of his girlfriend and stood up from the bed, making Y/n reach back out for him.
“ Hey, where are you going? “ Y/n whined, pouting her lips, making Five smile, “ Making coffee, you’re more than welcome to join. “
“ Can you bring me some? “ She smiled. “ Of course, only for you. “ Five replied, smiling and walking out of the bedroom, leaving Y/n to stay comfy in bed.
Five walked outside the bedroom with a stupid smile on his face. His girlfriend was powerful, literally. Her most potent superpower was ‘controlling’ Five into doing whatever she wanted. All she had to do was smile at him, and he’d do it; worst part of all? He knew it worked too.
Putting a pot of coffee into the coffee maker took a couple of minutes to brew but gave him time to prepare what he needed. He brought out two mugs and a bottle of Y/n’s coffee creamer from the fridge, which he despised, but she enjoyed it. After the coffee was made, he poured coffee into both mugs, splashed a bit of creamer into her cup. Finally, putting away the creamer and moving the pot of coffee back under the coffee maker.
He walked into the room with two mugs to see her on her phone, possibly scrolling through something or texting Vanya, a frequent occurrence. She saw him walk into the room and set down her phone to make grabbing hands towards him for her coffee. He handed her the mug and then walked to his side of the bed to sit beside her. She took a sip and smiled.
“ Thank you. “ She smiled, kissing his cheek lightly.
“ You’re welcome. “ He replied, after taking a sip of his coffee, “ So, what’s on your schedule today? “ Five asked as he took another sip of coffee.
“ Well, I pretty much have everything down. Everyone’s bringing what they want to drink, I think I just have to put everything out, but that won’t be till 6 o’clock since everyone should be here at 6:45. But you never know with Klaus. “ She chuckled, “ Oh! I have a request for you. “
“ I feel like you always have a request for me. “ He sarcastically replied, making her smack his arm, “ That’s not nice! Anyways. I have some presents for Claire that need to be wrapped, and since I’ve seen the gifts you’ve wrapped under the tree for me, which are perfect, I was wondering if you could do Claire’s for me? “ She grinned, taking a sip of her coffee.
“ Sure, is there anything else you need me to do? “ He asked, smirking slightly, “ After that, I just need you to sit still and look pretty. “ She winked.
“ Which you do a pretty good job at. “ She replied, looking him up and down, which was a loose tank top paired with some sweatpants, “ And I could say the same for you. “ He smirked, looking at his oversized shirt that she wore along with some shorts hidden from the t-shirt.
“ Shut up. “ She smacked his arm again, blushing, “ What? I’m just saying the truth. You look good. “ He smiled, kissing her cheek.
“ Alright I’m getting outta bed, you do what I need you to while I finished what I need to finish okay? “ Y/n asked standing from the bed and walking to the doorway.
“ Yes ma’am. “ He assured as she walked out of the room.
Time passed quicker then they both were expecting. Five had finished wrapping gifts for Claire and had taken a shower, to fulfill the request of his girlfriends called ‘sit still and look pretty’. Vanya had came over earlier then expected to help Y/n do anything that was needed which wasn’t much. After Y/n had taken a shower and changed it was 6:45 which was when Klaus showed up.
The door bell ring causing Five to get up and open the door, “ Fivey! “ Klaus exclaimed hugging his younger brother.
“ Hi Klaus. “ Five smiled wrapping his arms around his brother.
Once the two brothers stopped hugging Klaus walked in and began chatting with Vanya, meanwhile, Five closed the door. He walked into his shared bedroom to find Y/n doing last minute touches to her hair. He smiled and walked behind her, hugging her waist while his chin sat on her shoulder.
“ You look pretty. “ He smiled kissing her cheek, “ Thank you, you do too. “ She replied setting down the iron and turning it off.
She turned around in his arms, now fully hugging, “ Who’s here so far? “ She asked pulling away to look at her boyfriends face, “ Klaus, surprisingly. “ He smiled.
“ He’s on time?! Must be some form of Christmas miracle. “ She laughed while fixing a loose hair on his forehead, “ I got so lucky. “ He mumbled.
“ Mm? “ She hummed as her eyebrow furrowed with confusion, “ I got lucky. “ He answered.
“ How do you figure? “ She asked, “ Because you are a godsend. “ He grinned, kissing her forehead.
“ Oh Y/n~! Where’s your alcohol? “ Klaus’ singsong voice echoed making both lovers laugh.
“ I’ll be out in a second Klaus. “ She yelled in response, “ Come on love. “ She said kissing his cheek.
Both lovers walked out of their shared bedroom to their main room. They met the graze of Klaus and Vanya. Y/n stepped away from Five’s side to acquire the liquor Klaus wanted, which was on top of the fridge. She poured him a cup and handed it to him.
“ You only get a cup. You’ve done so well with sobriety. “ She warned, “ I know, I know. “ Klaus waved off taking the cup.
Then a knock on the door was heard again, making Y/n look towards Five. He rolled his eyes playful and walked towards the door, meeting the eyes of Allison, Claire, Luther, and Diego. He stepped aside and allowed everyone in.
“ Uncle Five! “ Claire shouted running into his arms, making Y/n smile from afar.
“ Hey little girl. “ Five smiled, ruffling her hair, “ Wheres aunt Y/n? “ Claire asked making Five point in her direction.
“ Hey Claire. “ Y/n smiled from the island of the kitchen, Claire immediately ran to her hugging her tightly.
Eventually everyone got settled in and sat around in the medium apartments living room. Claire sat on Allison’s lap and everyone else took their place on a couch. The hall began to make small talk. Until Claire had interjected.
“ Can we do presents? Please? “ Claire pouted.
“ Sure honey. “ Allison responded as Claire jumped from her lap onto the floor.
“ I’ll give everyone their presents and set them in front of everyone, okay? “ Y/n asked, “ Yes ma’am. “ Claire replied.
Y/n then went under the tree and gave the presents to their respected individuals. Y/n took her spot right next Five and everyone opened their presents. No one got anything in particular really but it was fun to see everyone happy, at least that’s what Y/n thought.
After everyone went home, Y/n and Five were left with the mess. Five was cleaning up all the wrapping paper while Y/n was cleaning the kitchen. Once Five finished he helped her complete everything else. Then both of them collapsed onto their bed.
“ I never wanna do that again. “ She laughed, rolling on her side to face Five, “ But we both know, you’ll do it next year. “ He smiled rolling over to face Y/n.
“ Yes I know but let me live in the moment. “ She smiled snuggling into his chest, “ Okay. “ He laughed as he pulled her close to his body.
“ You did a phenomenal job though, just like usual love. “ He complimented, pulling back to kiss her lips gently, “ Thank you. “ She responded after pulling away from his lips.
“ Anytime love, anytime. “ He smiled.
