Summary: Diego helps you with something he had to go through once too
A/N: Sorry this is so short!!
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
“H-hello,” You tried saying, staring at yourself intensely in the mirror, “M-my n-n-name is… is…” You paused, breath picking up slightly, “I-is Y/n, an-and t-today-“ You cut yourself off, unable to go on anymore.
You let out a loud groan of frustration, pushing the heels of your hands into your eyes to try and keep the tears that threatened to show themselves at bay.
After a moment, you sniffed and dropped your hands, trying again, “He-Hello, m-my nam-name i-i-is-“ You cut yourself off with a small yell of frustration, glaring harshly at your reflection through blurry vision.
Diego was walking by your room on the way towards the kitchen when he paused in his step, hearing your voice.
“H-hello, m-my n-n-name-“
He peered through the slightly open door in curiosity and his heart seemed to freeze as his breath hitched.
You were standing in front of your mirror, a look of determination slowly slipping off your face into one of despair as you tried to speak, and a sense of deja vu hit him like a speed train.
“Y/n?” Your father called out hesitantly after a moment, making you whip around to face him, “What’s wrong?”
“T-this st-stupid speech f-for c-class!” You sobbed out in between hiccups, “I-I can’t do it w-with th-this s-st-stupid s-stutter!”
Young Diego, standing in front of his own mirror in his own room, unable to speak the sentences he so desperately wanted to because of his stuttering tongue.
“Oh, sweetheart,” He moved to stand right behind you, placing a hand gently on your shoulder and rubbing it comfortingly, “It’s okay, I understand. I used to have a stutter too.” Diego admitted.
You sniffed, craning your neck to face him, “R-really?” You asked sadly.
His mother, Grace, entering his room and comforting him.
He sighed slightly, leaning down and placing a soft kiss on the crown of your head, “Yeah, I couldn’t master it.”
“Wh-what did y-you do about it-t?” You looked up at him with those wide, doe eyes of yours.
“Picture the words you want to say in your mind, Diego.” Her soft voice floated through his ears, “I believe in you.”
“Here,” He gently turned you so that you were facing the mirror again, “Try picturing the words in your mind before you say them. It helps, I promise.”
You took a deep breath before you shakily moved your eyes to meet your own in your reflection once more and were silent for a moment before you spoke, carefully thinking over each word, “Hello… my… my name is… my name is Y/n. Hello, my name is Y/n.”
Your eyes lit up immediately following your success. One that seemed so small, but meant so, so much to you.
Grace cheering him on when he was finally able to do it.
“You did it!” Your father cheered, wrapping his arms around you tightly as you began jumping up and down excitedly.
“I did it!” You echoed back, still managing to be void of your normal stutter.
“I’m so proud of you,” Diego breathed out. And he meant it, pride swirled in his chest in a way that made him feel so good inside.
“Thank you, dad.” You rested your head on his chest for a moment before turning yourself back to the mirror and continuing your speech, Diego there to coach and encourage you the whole way through.

Part 1: Pretty Please With A Dog On Top! | Request
Five Hargreeves x Niece!Reader
WC: 975
The day after the funeral, you has to return to the mansion again. You scooped up your dog again, getting into the car. Your father drove to the house again, preparing for the worst based on the encounter yesterday. You arrived and walked into the house. Walking in, you saw the familiar faces of your uncles and aunt. But there was one unfamiliar face, it was a boy who seemed to be a few years older than you. He was dressed in an academy uniform and your father seemed shocked to see him. You were confused, who was he? He looked at you, then up at Diego.
"Huh, would you look at that, Batman's got a kid."
All your uncles and your aunt seemed in shock to see the boy, not like they didn't know him, but as if he wasn't supposed to be here.
"Five?! How are you here?!"
What was going on? You looked up to your father in concern. He instantly caught onto your nervousness and sent you into the living room to go play with your dog. Playing with the dog always calmed you down so you sat down on a comfy chair and began to play.
~*~*~*~*~
A few minutes later, the boy walked in. He was slightly intimidating, but as he walked over to you his features softened. Maybe you were crazy but you could swear there was the slightest hint of a smile on his face.
"Hey kid, what's your name?"
You felt slightly afraid of the boy but murmured a meek '(Y/N)'. He smiled at you, complimenting your name, trying to comfort you and help with your shyness. He introduced himself as Five, your other uncle, you furrowed your brows. How could he be your uncle? The dog began pawing at Fives wrist, he usually hated animals, especially dogs, but yours was different. He also usually hated kids, but you were also an exception. He was very fond of you, finding your shyness adorable. He also loved the dog, though he'd never admit any of it.
In front of his siblings, he'd pretend he didn't care for you or the dog. He'd rarely take notice of either you in front of the family, but when you were alone with him he would go soft. Sometimes, your dad or uncles or aunt would catch a sneak peek of Five's bond with you and found it adorable.
~*~*~*~*~
"Hey Fivey, what's your deal with Diego's kid anyway, got a soft spot for her?" Klaus snorted. He had noticed how caring Five was towards you, opposing his usual cold behaviour. Five scoffed, of course he doesn't. How could they possibly think that?!
"You certain you don't at least have a tiny soft spot for the girl?" Five shook his head. "So you're telling me you don't care an ounce about her?"
"Well... I usually hate kids but she's fine I guess."
~*~*~*~*~
You began spending a lot of time at the Hargreeves' mansion. By spending more time at the mansion, you spend more time with your favourite uncle Five - joint first favourite with Klaus or course. Sometimes everyone would get too caught up in their own business and you'd be left at home alone. Well, not entirely alone, Five would always try be there as often as possible to ensure you'd not be alone. But, he also liked when you were alone because he got to be his true self with you. One day, everyone had been too wrapped up in their own stuff and they'd forgotten about you. As usual, you sat in your spot in the living area. Five peeked his head through the doorway, smiling as his eyes landed on his favourite niece. He walked over to your spot, your eyes lighting up when you saw him coming over.
"Hey kid, you all alone again?"
You nodded somberly, sad that you'd been forgotten again. Five scoffed in disbelief. He couldn't believe everyone could just forget about you. He made a mental note to berate your father for doing so and not finding someone to care for you. Heck, you could've been hurt, and there wouldn't have been anyone there to care for you! Five said a quick 'C'mon' as he scooped you into his arms, taking you to the kitchen.
He sat you on the counter and began to make what he always made during his Uncle and Niece bonding sessions. A pot of coffee for him, a mug of hot chocolate for you and two fluffer-nutter sandwiches for the two of you. He set down all the ingredients, inviting you to come help him make them. You giggled as you got up onto the stepstool, feeling your puppy prodding your ankles with his cold nose.
Five guided you on how to make the hot chocolate, letting you put the marshmallows and whipped cream onto it. Not that the event went down without getting whipped cream everywhere, usually Five would be annoyed at this behaviour, but it was you so of course he didn't mind. He laughed slightly as your puppy licked all the whipped cream off the floor and smeared it all over itself. He always made the best hot chocolate, just for you. Most people had never tried Five's hot chocolate, he liked to say it was reserved for him. However, after meeting you, he expanded the circle to the two of you.
He made the sandwiches and set everything on the table. Placing a bowl on the floor for the dog, both of you began to talk. Well, you began to talk really. Five liked listening. Unbeknownst to the two of you, the rest of your family had now returned home and was now watching your interaction from the doorway. They knew Five had to have a soft spot somewhere in his closed-off heart. Who knew that soft spot was reserved for a small girl and a puppy?
(A/N) Sorry this is short but I had lots of fun writing it <3

never changing [ five hargreeves x reader ]
a/n: hi y’all! it’s been a hot minute since i’ve been on here, but after the absolute shit show that season 4 was, some sparks ignited in me to write up anything to take my mind off it 🙌
its not anything crazy, just fluff and banter since i haven’t written anything in years so it may be as poorly redacted as this season lmao
summary: five and y/n attend their niece birthday party together, yet separate
“Happy birthday, little Gracie!” You smiled widely, trying not to drop the wrapped present box as the six year old girl jumped into your arms, “Oh my gosh, look at you! You’re just getting prettier by day, aren’t you?”
You had just got off work in a hurry to make your appearance at the little girl’s birthday party at a decent time, in spite of the amount of paperwork you managed to bury yourself in lately. You knew how much it would have meant for the celebrated one to show up and you couldn’t bear to let her down, especially on her birthday.
After spending most of your life working for the Commission, and then a decent amount of time exhausting yourself in trying to stop multiple Apocalypses, your last six years have been pretty quiet as a lawyer. You really wanted to get out of the whole assassin thing, but at the same time couldn’t exactly move on from the thrill of the work field. Your career as a lawyer took off really well these past years, but inevitably it came along with the cost of always being stuck at work, so whenever your niece got the chance to see you, she was truly enthusiastic.
“Auntie Y/N!” She wrapped her tiny arms around your neck, engulfing you into a tight hug, “You are here!”
Nonetheless, these six years have been truly and undeniably the most peaceful time of your life for as long as you could remember.
“You literally saw each other the other day,” Five raised a brow, watching you and the celebrated one act as if you hadn’t seen each other in years.
You and the little girl shared a look, before rolling your eyes and turning to glare at the man next to you. Ever since Grace learned how to talk, you and her would gang up on her uncle for your amusement, especially since he was so keen on entertaining the banter.
These past six year have gone by in the blink of an eye, yet at the same time at a slow and steady pace. You spent most of your time working anyway, but still kept in touch with the seven siblings you’d grown to love.
Some in different ways than others.
“Uncle Five, you’re always more excited than me to see Aunt Y/N,” Gracie waved him off, making you burst out laughing, “Jealousy isn’t a good look on you anyway.”
“What is a good look on him anyway?” You smirked, making the little girl laugh, as Five swept her into his arms;
“Okay, munchkin, it’s your birthday today, but tomorrow I’m going back to bullying you,” He joked, causing you both to laugh, before the two shared a hug before you, “You’re lucky your gift has no return policy.”
The party had already started by the time you made it there. The playground was huddled by other kids around Grace’s age, along with their parents. The music was playing loudly over the laughter of children and you were pretty sure that most of the family had already arrived. It was not the most ideal gathering, but you tried your best to keep in touch with most of the family to your best capabilities.
“Y/N, I’m so glad you could make it!” Luther smiled, appearing from the crowd of guests, immediately giving you a big hug as his niece was still wrapped around Five, “Haven’t seen you since Thanksgiving!”
“Big shot lawyer doesn’t always have the time to stay in touch with family, huh?” Diego teased you, following suit, as you rolled your eyes, dropping off his daughter’s gift in his hands.
“Big shot delivery driver doesn’t know the phone works both ways, huh?” You smirked, putting your hands on your hips.
Diego laughed out loud as he gave you a hug, always in the mood for a back and forth short banter with you. After all, you truly were family, even if you didn’t always have the time to be present in the Hargreeves’ day to day lives. You may have met them in the original timeline in 2019, when you accidentally time traveled with your former partner at the Commission, Five, but after all you’ve been through, you didn’t need to have grown up together or be blood related to be considered that. And you truly were grateful for each and every single one of them, in spite of the many differences over the years.
After everything that’s happened six years ago at Hotel Oblivion, everyone went their separate ways. Allison was back with her daughter while trying to further her acting career and also help Klaus stay on the sober line, Viktor had moved to Canada where he opened a bar, Diego and Lila had three kids, Luther was “professionally dancing”, Ben had some run-ins with the law and Five, ironically enough, was working for the CIA.
“Well, you two are as annoying as always,” Ben told you and his brother, making Diego roll his eyes as he walked towards the gift table to set down your present.
“Please try to stay out of prison at least for the remainder of the year,” You joked with the man, making him roll his eyes as he hugged you loosely, “There’s only so much favors I could owe the DA.”
“Shut the fuck up,” Ben groaned, “I don’t even know why they let you work at the law firm since you still look like a prepubescent with no boobs. Even Five got a growth spurt.”
“I sized up to B recently, thank you very much,” You nudged his shoulder, before placing your hands on your chest in an offended manner.
“Okay, Gracie, not a conversation you’d wanna hear,” Five spoke up, putting his niece down, “Your aunt needs to learn some etiquette on how to act around children.”
“Funny coming from you,” You couldn’t help but wave him off.
You didn’t come in with Five at the party, but as fate had it, you did run into him as you were parking your car. He had just gone out to his brother’s dusty van to bring inside some more cookies for the guests. You kept in touch with him as well, but not as often as you would have liked. It’s not all that serious, but given the fact that you were a lawyer still climbing your way to the top and him being a top notch CIA agent, you didn’t exactly have the time to hang out.
At least, not as much as you’d have liked.
Five was watching you with a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips, and his hands in his pockets. He had the same look on his face as always when watching you. He had the same smile when he saw you in combat for the first time during your first mission for the Commission together, the same look in his eyes when you appeared for the first time in 2019 alongside him in your teen bodies. The same posture he had when he met you again in 1963 after months of not seeing each other.
He wore the same love on his face while looking at you when you and the siblings split up after the events at Oblivion.
And never once did you notice that.
Not once in these past six years you let your feelings surface.
“You know Grace is my niece too, right?” He couldn’t drop the small smile even if he wanted to.
“Since when are you such a family man?” You raised a brow, trying to keep a confident composure.
“Oh, something changed in me between the first and third time I traded the world for my siblings,” He lightly shrugged his shoulders, making you roll your eyes at the sarcastic remark.
You two never changed.
“Please, I was there for the twins birth,” You waved him off.
You rarely see Five, and even when you do you always try to act normal, as you do around the rest of the Hargreeves. Everyone tried to get you two together at first, since the apocalypse was over and there was no reason for you to not get together, right?
You really wished it was that easy. In hindsight, maybe it was. But you couldn’t take any chances in losing Five forever if something were to go wrong. Maybe some would see it as something stupid, or as if you wasted so many years, but to you- mentally, you were almost seventy, while physically nineteen. You had so much time ahead of you now, all that mattered was to get a stable career first.
Five let a chuckle escape, shaking his head in disbelief, as he looked at the floor for a couple of seconds. When he looked back at you, you tried to keep your composure. You couldn’t help but feel pathetic that after all these years, your heart still skipped a beat whenever he’d look at you.
“You’re doing that thing again where you forget that some other people are still around, guys,” Luther raised his hand, grabbing your attention once again.
“I got bored of watching seventy year old virgins,” Ben shrugged his shoulders, “I’m gonna go get shitfaced.”
“Always a delight seeing you, Benjamin,” Five said, as Luther followed the ex-tentacle boy suit to make re he was not about to actually get drunk;
“This is a six year old’s birthday party!”
You giggled, watching the two brothers speed away while arguing amongst the kids in the crowd. When your eyes laid back on Five, who was intently watching you, you couldn’t help but feel a small blush creep its way in your cheeks.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Spit it out, Hargreeves.”
“I said it’s nothing!”
“Fuck you.”
“Why?”
You watched him dumbfounded for a couple of seconds because of the only answer he could come up with, before walking away, hoping he would follow you.
When he did try to keep up with you, you looked away to hide the proud smile. Even after all these years, things were still the same with him. He was still so eager to spend time with you, he was still smiling at you and entertaining your conversation.
“Aunt Y/N, Uncle Five, come play in the ball pit!” Gracie ushered you from afar, already tucked in the plastic colorful balls.
“You heard the birthday girl!” You smiled, grabbing his hand to drag Five after you.
Even after all these years he would instantly lock his fingers with yours.

the setup
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader Synopsis: Five has a rather outrageous crush on his niece's tutor, so Lila and Diego decide to set them up by inviting her to their daughter's birthday party. Word Count: 1.7K Tags: Fluff, season 4, Crackfic, everyone knows they like each other but they are being stupid Note: sorry this took so long to come out, i had half written in august but only finished it now, not really proofread yet so mind any mistakes!
“You came!” the delighted voice of Grace Hargreeves shouted out as the girl bounded her way toward you. Enveloping you in a larger-than-life hug
“Of course I did! I told you I would, didn’t I?” you questioned the girl, struggling to hug her back with her present in your hands.
“Yes, but-” the girl started, not able to meet your eyes, embarrassed at her thoughts
“But nothing!” you quickly interrupted her. “Now go play with your friends. I need to find your mom or dad and figure out where to put your present.” You shooed the girl away towards her friends.
Luckily, you didn’t need to look far, Lila spotted you almost immediately after her daughter left you. The woman quickly made her way over to you with a large smile on her face, mirroring her daughters. She quickly pulled you into an excited hug before pulling away and taking the present off your hands.
“So glad you could come, Grace had been asking repeatedly if her favourite tutor was coming.”
“I’m her only tutor?” you questioned
“That’s what I said!” The woman laughed, glee apparent in her features as she grabbed your hand with the one not carrying your present, walking you towards where all the adults were unfortunately stationed watching the children, some looking like they would rather be anywhere else.
“Diego!” Lila called out to her husband, who quickly turned towards her, his smile widening when he noticed you stood next to her. He quickly hugged you in greeting before turning his attention to his wife.
“Where did you put the pinata? Luther and I are going to set it up.”
“Um,” Lila looked around, spinning around in a circle to survey the area when her gaze locked onto someone near the ball pit. “Five!” The woman called out, waiting for him to look at her before she continued, “Can you bring the pinata over? Thanks!” She quickly called out before rushing off, mumbling something about needing to get the cake.
The man in question quickly made his way over, holding a very familiar-looking piñata
“Is that an east side piñata?” you questioned as Five handed it over to Diego, who looked at you with so much relief you thought you could've saved his life
“Yes,” he practically shouted in glee. “Yes, it is!” looking around smugly for someone, but you weren't sure who
“You might need a bit of a heavier hand with that then. At my younger cousin's birthday last week, it took an adult to hit it for the candy to come out,” you warned the older man. He simply nodded, walking off to put it up, a large smile still present on his face,
“Hi” the man you were left with almost whispered, believing that he would scare you off if he came on too strong.
“Hi, Five,” you smiled in greeting, “I haven't seen you at the house recently. Been busy?” you replied. Truthfully, wanting to keep talking to the attractive man,
“Yeah, sorry, been working overtime at the CIA, sure you understand” he smiled slightly at your attention to his lack of presence lately. Making him believe that maybe Lila and Diego were right about your reciprocation of feelings towards him
“How has University been?” he questioned, wanting to keep the conversation going
“Very good”, you respond. Hand on hips at his disbelief in your answer, shock evident on your face “Honestly!” you smile,
“I mean, I'm on Christmas break at the moment, so there’s not much to do other than tutoring.” You shrug your shoulders, trying to hint to the man that maybe the two of you could spend some time together. But before Five could reply, Klaus came bouldering over with Claire.
“Five! Lovely to see you!”
The man greets his brother, Klaus, you quickly learn from Five's reply
“And this is?” Klaus asks, gesturing towards you when Claire whispers to him.
Klaus “The tutor! We have heard so much about you!”
“Really?” you questioned, looking down at your feet in nervousness. “I didn't know Grace spoke about me so much.”
“Oh, not from Grace-“ Klaus began, a large cheeky smile covering his face. But he was quickly interrupted by the feeling of a hand on his gloved one, causing him to pause in alarm. When he was quickly dragged away by Claire, her eyes wide in alarm, while Five was glaring at him with such ire you could imagine Hades opening up hell for whoever was at the other end of it.
“It was lovely to meet you”, he shouted as his niece pulled him further away from you.
You smiled, a clumsy laugh tumbling out as you looked at Five, his hands covering his face in annoyance, but a clear smile was present on his face when he removed his hands, but before either of you could say anything more, a familiar head of hair came running towards you.
“How is the birthday girl doing?” you ask, ruffling her hair as she smiles widely at you.
“Amazing, but I would feel even better if you watched me go down the slide”, the girl replied cheekily, making a small scoff come out of her uncle's mouth at her words.
“Well, we can't have the birthday girl not be at max amazingness, can we?” you teased as she led away from Five and towards the play area. An apologetic smile on your face as you left him, hoping that it wasn't the last time you would speak to him today.
── ✧
You didn’t see the brunette again until much later, stood by the ball pit after having escaped the herd of parents asking you intrusive questions, you were sure you would’ve blown a fuse if anyone else asked why you were still single as you were ‘such a lovely girl.’
“Finally freed yourself from the lionesses, I see”, Five joked as he came to stand next to you, beer in hand. “It seems Klaus has not been so lucky.” You looked over to see that they had now set their sights on the boy crowding around him like paparazzi.
“Remind me to stay clear of that side of the room,” you complained, hands rubbing at your temples in worry that they would begin to hurt “There's only so long I can handle being asked about my lack of boyfriend before I strangle one of them,” you admitted, not catching the man's smile at your words.
“Don’t worry, I'll protect you,” he proclaimed.
“Yes, I'm sure you will be much a deterrent to the herd of mamas,” you joked, laughing at his recoil, head shaking in amazement at your goading.
“You really know how to make someone feel good about themselves, don't you?” he teased
“Clearly”, you smiled, sarcasm laced heavily in your response.
The balls in the ball pool quickly flew up as a man emerged from them, causing you to jump back in alarm as Luther popped his head up from below, a large smile on his face at catching you off guard, eyebrows raising slightly as he noticed his brother stood next to you. After a laugh, you spoke pleasantries with the man, trying to ignore Five's hard glare that he was directing at him. The younger-looking male sighed loudly, causing the two of you to look towards him, the eye contact made the man go red in embarrassment before clearing his throat, looking exacerbated.
“I thought you were helping Diego set up the pinata?”
“I was?” The larger man questioned, eyes wide as he looked around the party, clearly alarmed that he wasn't doing what Five had mentioned, scampering out of the ball pit when he saw Diego, but before he could make his way over, Diego called out for everyone to come over for the game so the three of you slowly made your way towards the growing group of children and adults. Five made sure to lead you over to an area with less noisy parents, making you smile in thanks as he grabbed you by the small of the back to lead you away when a parent tried to call out for you.
To say the next few moments were a disaster would be an understatement, mirroring your earlier words as the pinata was from the east side no matter how hard Grace or her friends would hit the object, it wouldn't break. Luther, clearly wanting to make it up to Diego for missing the memo to help him, tried to use his strength to break the Pinata, and while the Pinata did break, so did the birthday cake. Bits of it went everywhere like a volcano explosion, covering all the guests, much to the children's joy and parents' horror.
You now stood off to the side, trying to get any larger pieces of cake out of your hair, laughing at the furious faces of the other adults. When Five gave you a napkin, you smiled, letting out a quiet appreciation as you wiped at your face. Feeling that you had gotten enough off, you turned to the boy, laughing at his cake-covered face.
“Here,” you said, moving to wipe some cake off his cheek with the napkin, trying to contain your giggles, he smiled brightly as you moved away from him slightly, his own hand coming to tuck a strand of hair full of icing behind your ears and then regretfully retracting his hand
“Do you wanna get out of here? Maybe go to a coffee shop where my siblings won't interrupt us every few minutes?” he asked, fingers fidgeting with nerves.
“Like a date?” you questioned, trying not to get your hopes up, smiling up at him, head tilting slightly to the left as you pondered his words.
“If you want” he replied pensively.
“I do”, you quickly rebutted, smiling as the boy led you towards the door with a matching grin on his own face.
── ✧
“I told you he would ask her out tonight,” Diego spoke smugly, watching as his brother helped you put on your coat, his wife watching, annoyed beside him.
“I thought it would’ve taken him until our Christmas party.” Lila rebutted, clearly annoyed that she had lost
“But I suppose it is about time you won one of our bets”, she replied smugly, quickly lowering Diego down a peg as the two watched you and Five leave their daughters' birthday party, hands intertwined.

I’ll love you in every multiverse I Five Hargreeves x Reader
WC: 1,791
Post Apocalypse Au! ( Yes Im writing another one )
Pt. 1 Pt.2 Pt.3 Pt.4
Summary: The Umbrella’s can understand jumping through time and all its rules, yeah fuck with the timeline and it’ll fuck you right back. But what happens when a portal opens up in the middle of the academy and outfalls a girl who claims to be Five’s wife from a different universe.
Disclaimer: This takes place after season one if Viktor didn’t blow up the moon.
The Umbrella Academy had saved the world from its supposed end. The siblings had lounged around the academy slowly letting reality set that they had avoided their demise. It was the next morning when each of them woke up to check their surroundings, making sure that doomsday wasn’t there.
Five went downstairs for his morning coffee when he saw Allison scrolling for flights on her phone and Klaus checking where was the next place he could buy drugs.
“Leaving so soon?” He questioned.
Allison looked up at him although happy to see her brother, guilty because he was right.
“I have to go see my daughter. After everything that has happened I need her now just as much as she needs me.”
Five nodded his head, understanding where she was coming from, although a little irked she wasn’t wasting any time running away.
A loud zap was heard and wind swirled toward the top of the room. A red portal had opened above the living room. The rest of the siblings (Luther, Viktor, Diego) had rushed down to see what the loud noise was. It was deja vu, like when Five had returned for the first time. In the portal, they could see a fight happening. Figures that had looked like them in a place that looked like their home. A woman’s back came close to the portal, they could see she was in combat but stood observing. Another man who they couldn’t identify, rushed forward and pushed the woman through the portal.
A girl who looked to be in her early twenties had fallen through. Her face was covered in soot, her hair black as night, and her eyes closed in pain. She was wearing a navy body suit that clung to her figure, and blood, not her own, stained the fabric.
The Hargreeves gathered around to observe this strange phenomenon trying to assess the danger. They were so used to people being against them, so why would this time be different.
You coughed loudly before sitting up, and each sibling tensed with adrenaline. The girl looked around the room with blazing blue eyes before she landed on the youngest Hargreeves.
“Five?” you questioned.
Everyone turned to look at Five.
Luther spoke up first, “You know her?”
“I have never met her in my life.” Five retorted.
The girl dusted off her suit before standing. “Well if you never met me, you either will meet me or I’m dead in this universe.”
“The names y/n , y/n Hargreeves.”
“I don’t remember our father adopting anyone else,” Diego said. He raised his knives, carefully ready to strike at any move she would make.
“That’s because I wasn’t adopted into this family. Married actually.” And with this, she held up her left hand, a beautiful diamond ring shone in the light with a gold band beneath it. The diamond was embellished with 2 smaller emeralds on the side, perhaps representing her lover’s eyes.
“Married? To who.” Viktor questioned.
“To him.” She looked back at Five.
“Well not to him, an alternate version of him. We met a few years ago and got married, nice seeing the family again,” she nodded her head towards the siblings.
“So what are you saying you guys are married in a different timeline?” Klaus asked.
“No, not a different timeline, a different universe.” She sat down on the couch.
Your brain felt like it was rattling against your skull, and your body ached. You took a minute to think. Fuck, it was going to be difficult to get back to your Earth, and to make things better you had no idea where to start.
“Alright before you all start firing questions at me, someone get me a cup of coffee, black please.” You threw a jacket that hung over the couch on you to hide the state of your clothes. "Allow me," The alternate of your husband said. Five quickly blinked the two of you into the car and began to drive, leaving his brothers and sisters dumbfounded. "So you and I, are married in another multiverse."
"Correct." "You look to be about my age, how come I haven't met you yet here." Surely he would remember someone as beautiful as you. "Well it's as I said, my version here could be dead or you might not have met her yet. That being said although 18 out of the 20 multiverses I have visited, we are together." "And the other two?" "In Earth 216, we are strangers, never have crossed paths, and never will. We simply live our lives with other people." Five's eyebrows furrowed. For some reason even if he didn't know you, he didn't like the idea of you with someone else. "In Earth 894, we were madly in love but our egos destroyed us, and we were never the same since." Five could tell there was more to that story but didn't press any further. "So tell me about us, how did we end up together." "I was Diego's friend first, he and I met in the police force. Diego kinda took me under his wing as I was the youngest graduate out of the academy. Perks of having a high IQ." Five raised his eyebrow at that. "Anyways, he invited me over after your father's funeral. " "Long story short, you fell in love with my charms and I was the only one who could tolerate you. We got married not too long after. It was a small wedding but it's my most precious memory. Our families had gathered together at the church no too far away from here. You cried on our wedding day by the way." Inciting a side glare from Five.
"But...that's where we had some problems." "Do you remember when I fell out of that portal?" Five nodded his head remembering seeing a fight in the alternate dimension. "Well, apparently some of the 43 are not too happy about their powers, nor happy about living among the common people, they believed themselves superior and it became chaos." The two of you arrived at Griddys. Five walked over to the side of your door and opened it for you. "Thank you, darling." You said with a smile. Five's heart spiked at the nickname. He shook his head at the feeling, obviously, it's just what you were used to calling YOUR Five. The two of you sat at the counter and ordered your coffees and sweets. You signed before pulling out a small stack of photos from inside your suit. "This is us and your family." The photo was a picture of you and Five on your wedding day. Five had never looked so happy. Beside him was Luther who he assumed was his best man, next to him was Viktor, Diego, and a man who looked like you. You must have caught his staring, "That's my brother Damien." He nodded and looked beside you. You were wearing a long white dress with intricate lacing, the dress was strapless with a square neckline and had a small slit on the side. Your veil was flipped over your head and flowed down your back. Beside you, was Allison as your maid of honor and two other women who he assumed were your friends. You weren't looking at the camera but at him. The next picture you gave him was a close-up of the two of you. You were the one taking the photo. His alternate self was older and had longer hair and facial hair, but he faced your side kissing your cheek affectionately. "This is my favorite photo of you." You handed him another photograph but this one didn't have you in it. This one was a picture of just Five and in his arms a little girl. She looked like you. Five gulped, a million questions ran through his head. Could this... could this have been his future if he didn't make that stupid jump? You said that not all multiverses are the same, you and him could never meet in this one. But that didn't stop his heart from hurting at the thought of missing out on a life of happiness because of his arrogance. "Before you jump to conclusions, she's not ours. She's my niece that we were babysitting. You just looked so sweet with her. You had always told me you wanted kids before but I wasn't ready." You had looked away sadly. In your home, Five always wanted to settle down and raise a family of his own, but you felt like you weren't ready. Now you regretted not because you weren't sure if you would ever be able to get back home. The two of you sat in silence drinking your coffee, both thinking about the what-ifs. "So...how did you end up here. I've been able to time travel but I've never thought about the possibility of multi-dimensional traveling." "As I said there was a fight between us, your family, and some of the 43. They called themselves the Ascendants. Believe to be the superior race." You took a deep breath before continuing. "The Ascendants had a man who could travel the multiverse with his own power, no special gear or machine need. We had planned to capture him but miscalculated. He was ready for us and he aimed to take out me, his biggest threat."
You took another breath before looking into Five's eyes. "I can warp reality. It is essentially in the name. I can manipulate reality itself, altering the fabric of existence according to my will." "But not without a cost," you continued. "Each time I control something, and the bigger it is, the more of my life force I use." Five sat in silence. This was a lot of information to take in. "So what now. How do I help you get back home." "I have...no clue. You were always the smarter one of the two of us. You were the one who had built the machine, of course before it was destroyed when Viktor took out the house." You sighed. It was going to take a lot of research and time to figure it out. "Well, I'm newly retired and have nothing on my plate so let's start at the library." He hopped off the stool and made his way to the door. "You coming?" He said turning to look at you. You smiled, he was a great man. Even if this Five wasn't your husband you loved him no matter what. You ran up looping your arm in his making your way out of Griddy's. ⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆⋆。‧˚ Pt 2 of this story is out now!
Author's note: I got tons of drafts just full of ideas I've had and never gone through with. I've been rewatching the MCU films and Spiderverse so that was kinda my inspiration for this one. If you like my work check out my other Five stories here! I also always appreciate comments and feedback! It definitely keeps me going. She's my Angel Pt1. Shes my Angel Pt2.

Partners? Partners.
Five Hargreeves x Fem!Reader
Summary: Y/N Hargreeves, formerly of the Sparrow Academy, finds herself virtually alone in the reset timeline. The Umbrella’s bring her in to their chaos and she builds something new for herself while still navigating the grief of losing her family. She’s happy in the simplicity. That is, until the one Hargreeves she can’t seem to win over comes to her with an offer she might not be able to refuse.
Warnings: Some cursing. Some angst.
(Part 1/?)
A/N: This one will be 4 or 5 parts. A bit of a coffee shop AU if you squint
——————
She missed her family. She missed them so desperately that sometimes when she dreamt of them at night, she would wake up in tears as the loneliness set in and she realized that her dreams were the only place she would see them again. They had been dysfunctional and as far as families go, not that close, but they had been hers. She would never understand how she had survived everything, how she had made it through the reset when the others did not. She technically had Ben but he had distanced himself not just from the Umbrella’s, but from her, as soon as they fell into this timeline. Now he was in prison for a white-collar bitcoin crime and he refused to have visitors altogether. She was well and truly the last of her family.
It got easier with time and she fell into a predictable, mundane routine. For the first time in her life, she was forced to slow down and be a normal human being. No powers. No Sparrow Academy. Just living and surviving.
She found an apartment with a roommate who mostly kept to themselves and a stable, if not a bit boring, job as a barista at a local coffee shop just a block from home. It wasn’t much and some months she was barely scraping by, but it was a start and she was happy.
The other Hargreeves children, the Umbrellas, brought her into the fold of their chaotic family and soon, she began to feel less alone.
She had brunch with Luther every Sunday at his club. They spent that time talking about Sloane, keeping her memory alive between them. She shared her childhood memories of her sister and Luther soaked it all in, grateful to receive any little piece of new information about his wife that he could get. She was thankful for that time with him and happy that someone loved Sloane the way she always deserved to be loved. Even if it was just for a moment.
Diego and Lila had her over for family game night at least once a month and she had coffee with Lila every week at the shop. Their children called her aunt and she made sure that they were properly spoiled, much to their parent's dismay.
She made the trek to Victor’s bar often in the evenings not just for the free drinks, but because he was actually wonderful company and he made sure to carve out time to sit and talk with her whenever he could take a break from running things. Like her, she suspected that he also felt a bit lonely.
Klaus and Allison came as a pair these days. Their dynamic was a sight to behold as Klaus navigated his newfound sobriety, and Allison pulled together a life doing what she loved, to support her daughter. She loved being around them.
But there was one particular family member that Y/N could not quite figure out.
Five.
Apart from their initial interaction at Sloane and Luther’s wedding where he had drunkenly accosted her about her powers, he had barely acknowledged her existence. While she was building relationships with his other siblings, he kept her at arm's length. Sure, he was cordial with her at family events and dinners, but that’s where he drew the line. He rebuffed every attempt she made at finding a connection with him.
That is until he started showing up every morning at the coffee shop she worked at. The same time every morning and the same, predictable order.
The first time he walked through the door she was taken aback. She knew he lived on the other side of town but she chalked it up to some work thing bringing him there.
He made his order, indulged her in small talk, and sat down, opening up a newspaper to read while he sipped his coffee.
She thought it was a one-off, but was very surprised when he turned up the next morning at the same time.
And then the morning after that and the morning after that.
He began conversing with her for longer periods of time, asking questions about her day-to-day life after the reset and even sharing some tidbits of information about himself. She knew he worked for the CIA and had recently moved into a new apartment.
A few weeks went by and each day was the same. It reached the point that she would have his coffee made and the donut he liked set aside before he even made it through the door.
But after a while, her curiosity began to get the better of her. Why was he here? Why was he suddenly showing interest in her and what she was doing with her life? It was making her crazy!
“Your black, boring coffee, sir,” Y/N said in the most sugary sweet voice she could muster, setting the cup down in front of the irritating man in front of her.
Five immediately picked it up and took a deep sip, “Fantastic as usual.”
She pulled the chair out across from him and sat down with a huff, “Cut the crap, Five. We both know you have much closer coffee shops to your apartment. Why, may I ask, do you insist on frequenting mine? Is it just to pester me?”
“Maybe I just like your company,” Five shrugged, leaning back to observe her.
This poked at her ire even more. He was always doing that. Just observing her like some sort of animal in an enclosure. Always there at his little table near the window. Rain or shine.
“Oh please!” She scoffed, “You’ve never given any indication that you even like me, let alone enjoy my company. In fact, until you started showing up here every day, I was pretty sure you hated me. So, again, cut the crap and tell me why you’re really here.”
“Fine,” he said, sitting his mug down so that he could give her his full, undivided attention, “I have a proposition for you.”
“This should be good.”
“My boss wants me to take on a partner,” he explained, “but the problem with that is that I don’t really trust…anyone really. But I’ve watched you these last few years, Y/N, and I know that you’re smart, analytical, and incredibly sharp. Your powers fine-tuned all of your senses and even if you don’t have them anymore, that’s still there. And that’s what I want in a partner.”
“Five, I’m not even trained to work for the CIA,” she reminded him, “I’m sure they’re not going to just let some random person join ranks without experience.”
“But you do have experience,” he insisted, “you’re a Sparrow. You’ve literally been trained since birth to be a fighter, a spy, or whatever else Dad needed us to be.”
“Need I remind you that neither the sparrows nor the umbrellas existed in this timeline? So none of that is going to mean jack shit to anyone.”
“It will if I forge a few documents,” he said, leaning forward so that he could get a clear look at her, “How do you think I got this far looking this young? I’ll do the same for you and everyone will think you’re an FBI transfer. They’ll be none the wiser. Trust me, not everyone high up is as smart as they’d like to think they are.”
She doubted anyone was that stupid.
“Five, this might come as a surprise to you, but I actually really like my life here,” she told him, “it’s peaceful and easy and I don’t really need any more than that. After so long of fighting and striving for perfection for the Sparrows, I’m ready to just settle down and live slowly. So, thanks, but I think I’ll pass.”
“You say that,” he chuckled, “you say that you want peace and quiet but I know that’s just something you tell yourself. Because I’ve told myself the same thing and it didn’t suit me. But let’s face it, you’re as unhinged as me. You NEED the chaos. You thrive on it.”
“You’re really not doing yourself any favors here, Five,” she hissed. “Besides, why me? Why haven’t you asked Diego? Hasn’t he been bugging you about bringing in his resume? Make him your partner.”
“Diego and Lila have enough going on in their lives,” he waved her off, “And Diego is a skilled fighter but he lacks in the brains department. Trust me.”
With that final statement, Five stood up and pushed in his chair before downing the last dredges of his coffee, “Just think about it, okay? And until then, I’ll be here every day, as usual. No one makes a cup of coffee quite like you.”
With a wink he left her sitting at the table alone, wondering why on earth she was actually considering his offer.

Defending Maddie
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
A/N: daddy five protects his little daughter
Warnings: none
Maddie, the sweet, four-year-old daughter of Five and Y/n Hargreeves, was the Commission's latest target. According to them, Maddie should not exist, and her existence posed a threat to the timeline. But Five, Y/n, and the rest of the Hargreeves family were ready to do everything in their power to protect her.
It started on a seemingly ordinary morning. Five was making breakfast while Y/n played with Maddie in the living room. Suddenly, the peaceful atmosphere was shattered by a loud crash. Five immediately sensed something was wrong.
"Stay here," he instructed Y/n and Maddie, his voice tight with urgency. He rushed to the source of the noise, only to find Commission agents appear in the house.
Y/n, holding Maddie close, came into the room, her face pale but determined. "Five, what's happening?"
"The Commission," Five growled. "They're here for Maddie."
Y/n's eyes widened in fear and anger. "They won't take her," she said, her voice shaking but resolute.
Five glanced at her, his eyes filled with steely determination. "You're damn right they won't."
The agents advanced, but the Hargreeves family was ready. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, and Viktor joined the fray, fighting off the intruders with everything they had. Y/n, refusing to leave Maddie's side, used her own abilities to create a protective barrier around her daughter.
"Not my daughter," Y/n whispered fiercely, her power pulsing with her every word.
In the chaos, Maddie watched with wide eyes, clutching her favorite stuffed animal. Five managed to take down an agent and rushed to Y/n's side. "We need to get her out of here."
Y/n nodded, tears in her eyes but determination in her heart. "Where can we go?"
"The safest place is with us," Luther said, blocking an attack aimed at Five.
Klaus, ducking a punch, added, "Family sticks together, right?"
Viktor used his powers to knock back a group of agents. "We'll keep her safe, no matter what."
The family fought their way to the back of the house, forming a protective circle around Y/n and Maddie. Five's mind raced, trying to think of a plan. "We need to get to the basement. There's an old panic room there. It’s shielded from temporal detection."
Diego nodded, clearing a path. "Let's move!"
They hurried down to the basement, with Five leading the way and the others covering their retreat. Once inside the panic room, Five quickly locked the door behind them. The sounds of the battle above faded, replaced by the tense silence of the small room.
Maddie looked up at her parents, her eyes filled with tears and fear. "Mommy, Daddy, why are those people trying to hurt me?"
Y/n knelt down, hugging Maddie tightly. "Because they don't understand how special you are, sweetie. But don't worry, we're going to keep you safe."
Five placed a reassuring hand on Maddie's shoulder. "No one will ever take you away from us. I promise."
The door suddenly rattled, and the family braced themselves for another wave of attackers. But instead, they heard familiar voices.
"It's us," Klaus called out. "Let us in!"
Five quickly unlocked the door, and his siblings piled into the room, bruised and battered but alive.
"Did you get rid of them?" Y/n asked, her voice trembling.
"For now," Diego said, wiping blood from his forehead. "But they'll be back."
Allison, panting from the fight, added, "We need a plan. A permanent solution."
Five nodded. "We'll take the fight to them. We'll make sure the Commission knows that if they come for Maddie, they'll have to go through all of us."
Y/n looked at her husband, her heart swelling with love and pride. "We'll do whatever it takes."
Maddie, sensing the resolve in the room, reached out and took both of her parents' hands. "I love you, Mommy and Daddy."
Five and Y/n shared a determined glance. "We love you too, Maddie," Five said, his voice filled with emotion.
The Hargreeves family stood united, ready to face whatever came next. The Commission had no idea what they were up against, but they would soon learn that no one messed with the Hargreeves, especially when it came to protecting one of their own.

Make Your Move (Five Hargreeves x Reader Smut)
Song Inspo: "Make Your Move" by New Found Glory
Based on the beginning of Season 4. Aged up Five.
Warnings: smut, piv, lowkey hurt/comfort.
A/N: ehehe smutty time !
Word Count: 1.7k
Summary: Seeing an old flame definitely brings up old feelings.
She sighs heavily as she pushes front pieces of hair that had fallen from her ponytail back behind her ears. Nervously tapping against the steering wheel of her car. Behind her held her god-daughters birthday party. Meaning, that after 6 long impossible years, she had to face seeing Diego’s siblings again. Uncertain on whether or not he was gunna be there. She’d become a nanny help for the family. Taking in the kids whenever Lila or Diego both needed a break while also working her own job at one of the local banks as a teller.
A tap at the window pulled her from her thoughts. Looking over the passenger door she sees Lila there. A begging look on her face. Unlocking the door, Lila hops in. Immediately sighing.
“You and me both-“ She comments. Looking down at her hands.
“He’s a bloody nightmare.” Lila sighs looking over to her.
Lila’s gaze softens upon seeing how anxious she looked.
“He’s not here yet,” Lila comments.
She lifts her eyes to meet Lila’s and she pulls a tight smile. She sucks in a deep breath, before exhaling. Lila grabs her hand and gives it a tight squeeze before also smiling at her. They both nod in agreement and exit the vehicle. She helps Lila grab some extra bottles of soda from the van and heads inside. Just as she’s making a beeline for the party table she bumps into another. Stumbling back, she looks up to see who she ran into. Her breath catches in her throat. It was none other than Five. He looked particularly handsome with a newer black suit and his hair longer.
“Oh- sorry,” They both say at the same time.
She awkwardly juggles the bottles of 2-liter that rested in her arms.
“Here, let me help with those.” Five comments, reaching around to grab one of them from her hands.
Their hands briefly brush over each other. The feel of electricity shocking her. His eyes drift to hers with an awkward and seemingly apologetic smile. Both of them open their mouth as if about to say something when a gasp from a little girl is heard behind Five. “Y/N/N! You came!” Grace screeched rushing over to her and hugging at her legs.
She stumbles at the impact and almost drops the 2-liters when Five swiftly grabs them out of her hands before they did. She mouthed a thank you to the man before he sauntered off to the party table.
“You have to come play, pleeeease!” Grace pleads and she nods with a smile. Grace giggles loudly and roughly clasps on to her hand, dragging her away.
She spends a good while playing with Grace and her friends. While she does so, she looks to the corner of her eye, catching Five looking at her with a soft smile as he nursed a bottle of beer. She smiled at him as well as their eyes meet. Her heart felt full seeing him there. Thinking it was going to bring her an intense amount of anguish and sorrow seeing him. Though in reality, it brought forth old feelings.
She stays behind to help Lila and Diego clean up after the kids. Also picking up a tired Grace and brining her to their van. She hadn’t had a chance to say goodbye to Five before she climbs into her vehicle, and makes her way home.
The 3 story walk up to her condo was quiet. She hadn’t tried for a relationship since things ended with Five. She had casual hook ups from time to time but no one stayed permanently. Some days coming home to an empty condo felt more dreadful than when she was with Five. She smiles to herself briefly thinking about how good Five looked today as she unlocked the door to her condo. Slipping inside, the door slams shut, echoing throughout the quiet condo. Sighing, she sats down her bag on the entrance table, and slips off her flats. Leaving them on the mat by the front door. Just as she’s about to make her way towards the kitchen to make an evening snack, a knock at the door grabs her attention.
Opening the door she stops in her tracks. Five stood in front of her. Seemingly out of breath.
“Five?” She asks. Cocking her head to one side in confusion.
“I can’t do it anymore.” He spats out nervously. Glancing down she notices him twiddling away with his thumbs.
“What do you mean?” She asks. Moving aside she motions for him to enter her condo.
Five hesitates before entering. She offers to hang up his jacket on the coat stand she kept by the door. He thanks her at her offer, but swiftly declines.
“I-“ Five beings to say something when he cuts himself off. Groaning at himself, he shakes his head before he sighs.
“I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since the day I left.” Five spits out in a rapid fire.
Taken aback by his words, she prepares to reply when Five raises his hand to stop her.
“Seeing you tonight, in that dress,” He continues. Groaning at the end, and eyes her up and down.
“I knew for a long time that I fucking screwed up. I’ve been wanting to call, come by do anything, something to get you back but I was so damn afraid that you moved on.” He takes deep breath between words. His gaze had shifted down to his feet this time.
“Five,” she whispers. Hooking her pointer finger under his chin. Forcing him to look up at her.
His eyes seemed wild. So many emotions swimming behind his irises. She hadn’t seem him this flustered then when they reconnected the first time in the other timeline.
“Fuck it,” He spats and smashes his lips to hers.
The kiss is feverish and sloppy. As if he was pouring all what he wanted to say into it. His fist grip tightly around her dress, pulling her flush against his body. She whimpers at the contact. Feeling his hard-on, on her thigh ran a shiver through her spine.
They break away from a moment.
“Bedroom,” she pants. Nodding to the door behind him.
He nods in understanding and reconnects their lips with no time to spare. He pulls her with him as he starts to back up towards the door. Her lips were on fire as he reaches behind him to jiggle with the doorknob. He frustratedly huffs as she reaches behind him to help. As they enter her bedroom she starts to push the suit jacket he wore from his shoulders. Discarding it to the floor.
“Fuck, I’ve missed you.” Five breathily whispers as he begins to hike up the skirt of her dress.
One of his hands snake down from her waist to her core. His fingers brush over the largest part of her underwear before pulling it aside so that he could easily insert two fingers. Crying out at the sensation, Five’s opposite hand reaches high. Cuffing around her neck and gently squeezes. She gasps at the pressure as he does this. Also picking up his speed of his brutal attack on her insides. Within in seconds she’s coming undone around his fingers.
“Yeah, that’s it,” Five whispers in her ear.
Her breathing becomes ragged as she comes down from the high of her orgasm.
“Need you-“ She states as she smashes her lips back to his.
He nods at her request. He briefly disconnects their kiss to pull her dress over her head. She’s fighting against the buttons of his white button down shirt. A few more pulls and tugs, he backing her against her bed. Her knees buckling upon contact she starts to pull herself higher in the bed. Five following suit.
Their lips reconnect as Five’s head teases her entrance.
“Can I?” he whispers. Looking up at her through his lashes, eyes shimmering in the light from billboards that seeped through her curtains.
Speechless, she nods ‘yes’.
Five lines himself with her and slowly pushes in. Both of them gasping at the feeling. Her hands reaching up to grab on to his bicep. He allows her to fully adjust to his size. Which shocked her the first time they had sex and shocks her even now. Five starts to roll his hips, slow and steady. Five takes in a sharp breath and steads himself with her headboard. The feeling him stretching her out after all these are overpowering her senses. Tears pricking at the corner of her eyes. The amount of love pouring from Five which each thrust fills her heart full.
“God,” Five’s breath hitches in his throat.
Seeing his naked form being illuminated from the night time light made him seem like a demi-god in his own right.
“Five-“ she gasps out his name as she can feel her orgasm reaching closer.
“Yeah, yeah, I know baby.” Five replies. He dips his head low and places soft kisses on her cheek.
She gasps and mewls as her orgasm reaches its point. Theres tears flowing freely from her eyes now.
“Fucking hell.” Five breathily shudders.
“I can,t-“ He stutters.
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” She states, another orgasm brewing quickly.
“Shit,” Five grunts as he starts to let go. She comes undone with him.
They stay like that for a brief moment to catch their breath. He looks up at sheepishly and she lets out a small giggle. Earning a grin from him. Five lowers his head and captures her lips in a sweet kiss.
Five pulls out of her and she stumbles up to grab a towel for the two of them. Five takes a moment to help her before he does anything with himself. He goes to grab his dress pants when she stops him.
“Stay tonight,” she asks hopefully. A gentle smile tugging at her lips.
“Please.”
“Okay,” Five responds.
“Here-“ She responds, going over to her dresses and pulling out the bottom drawer.
“I’ve uhm, I’ve kept these around just in case.” She whispers embarrassingly.
It was a pair of old pajamas Five had kept with her before. Five gives her a loving smile. She hands over the garments to him and he gets dressed. She also pulls on a pair of pajama shorts and an old t-shirt.
She climbs into bed, patting the spot besides her. Five seems to hesitate for a moment before joining her. He pulls her into his chest, nuzzling his face into her head of hair. She smiles at the sensation of him trying to get as close as possible to her. She was just grateful to have her Five back.

Scarlet - Five Hargreeves x Reader
Prompt: You were a Sparrow dragging into a new timeline with your singular surviving sibling and a family who claimed he was theirs. In this new world, your powers of youth were ripped away, forcing you to age in five years what should have been twenty. Though you were the same age as the rest of the Sparrows, you were now perpetually in the aging body of a twenty-year-old. Unlike the rest of the Hargreeves, you needed to get back.
So did Five.
(A/N: Spoilers for Season 4 if any of y'all care. I wouldn't. Hopefully this will make the ending a tiny shred better for you guys.)
It had been five years in this timeline. This broken, hellscape of a timeline in which Ben was all that was left of your family and your powers didn’t exist. Your power of youth did nothing here but make you perpetually younger than the rest of the Hargreeves. They wouldn't let you forget it, either. Though you were the same age as them, down to the minute, they seemed to regard you as their innocent, no-blood-on-your-hands, little sister that they were stuck looking out for. Save, Five, of course, who apparently was older than each of you but stuck in a younger version of himself. You would've been thrown off by the coincidence if everything about your world wasn't already fucked. The worst part, by far, was that you couldn’t even buy a fucking drink in this apocalypse.
Luther was the main, if not only, force keeping the family together - you and Ben included. Even though you apparently didn’t exist in his timeline, he tried his best to include you in the family functions. Even though you would've rather drowned yourself in your sorrows, you were grateful for him. Sometimes when he looked at you, you could see a hint of his own grief in them. It should've been Sloane who made it to this world with him, not you. Nothing tied you to this family except for Ben.
Not that he was much help. By year one he had built a Ponzi scheme empire and by year two he was in a low security federal prison. You couldn't help but think that he was better off there sometimes. He at least had a fresh start. He wasn't forced to assimilate to a different version of the family whose bodies were still fresh in your own timeline. He didn't have to push down his grief to save face, nor did he have to forge his own 'fresh start' in an utterly unfulfilling career.
Everyone else had their own vices in this timeline - bubble wrap, a bar, a family. They all seemed to assimilate fine to mundane life. Diego and Lila were seemingly never happier. They welcomed three children into this world in five years. Lila even had her birth family here. You were probably most jealous of her. Or maybe Allison, whose husband and daughter were both waiting for her as soon as she crossed over. You had never been lucky enough to love someone like that.
Or be loved like that.
Of course, none of the Hargreeves knew the full extent of what this world was doing to you. None of them felt the weight of time pulling them as you did. None of them felt themselves age in five years what should’ve been twenty. You needed to find a way back. Quickly.
Thus entered the Keepers. They weren’t hard to find by any means. You were introduced to them via flyer on your apartment building’s bulletin board. For a secret society, they had a fuckton of marketing. In your reality, you would’ve easily spilled the information to your sisters. In this one, you kept that shit to yourself.
Five began attending a month after you did.
You could tell by looking at him that he didn’t believe a word of what Jean and Gene were saying. It annoyed you at first - he’d been stuck in the future for 40 years, but a cleanse was where he drew the line? It didn’t take a genius to realize that the cleanse was just a fancy remarketing of an apocalypse, of which he had now allegedly survived four of.
While Five hovered near you for the duration of the meeting, he didn't speak to you until you were out of the building. "Need a ride?" "I only live a few blocks away," you shrugged. "And it's dark now. Can I give you a ride?" You rolled your eyes. "Sure. Thanks."
After opening and closing your door for you, Five got into the driver seat, though he made no effort to start the engine. He exhaled deeply. “It won’t work.” “What won’t work?” “The cleanse. It has every workings of an apocalypse. It’s not a magical reset button on the timeline. At least not for humanity.” “And how are you so sure of that?” “I’d been running from apocalypses for forty years before I met you. The people who died stayed dead. You can only watch the ones you love die so many times before you get a little cynical.” He turned towards you, eyes set on yours. “These timelines, as fleeting as they may be, are the only way for my family to be alive.” “No chance this one is just a magic reset button?” He pulled his lips into a tight smile. “Not a fucking chance.”
~~~
New Grumpson was perfect. It was the town out of a Hallmark Christmas movie, down to the hot chocolate stall and ice-skating rink. You would've started a new life there if everyone didn't immediately start shooting at you.
Every single one of you would have died if you hadn't just gotten your powers back. They were stronger here. You no longer had to touch your assailant to steal their youth. Instead, you could draw in youth from a crowd, watching their skin wrinkle and bones brittle from yards away. "What the fuck was that!" Diego shouted as the men before you fell to their knees, taking shaky last breaths as their lungs shriveled within their aging chests. "That's youth, baby!" you shouted back, spryer than you'd been in years. "Watch out!" Lila yells. In a split second you see the spray of bullets heading towards you - far too quickly to avoid. Just before they hit you, Five grabbed onto your shoulder and blinked
You had never felt his power before, and the sensation ripped the air out of your lungs. "Calm down, calm down," he spoke calmly, hands resting on your back as you doubled over. “Holy shit,” you whimpered, the rest of your body still vibrating from the trip. “What the fuck, Five?” “You’re welcome. Your cute little aging shit would’ve done nothing against a hundred bullet holes, sweetheart.”
With a deep breath, you steadied yourself and finally took a moment to look at your surroundings. While at first it just appeared to be a subway station, it was eerily dilapidated, and all the normal writing had been replaced by strange ciphers. “What is this place?” “This is my new power. Every time I blink, I land here. The trains go to the exact moment and place in time I blinked from in a different timeline. I’ve explored three so far. When I walked out of this station, minutes had passed - not the days I’d been away.” “What- Why-,” you stuttered through your question, your mind latching onto a million ideas as you replayed his words. “Why didn’t you tell us?” “Why would I?” “Because my family could be in one! There could be one where the world isn’t about to be fucking ripped apart! There could be one where I could be fucking happy!” “Not the ones I’ve seen. This place is a paradise compared to what I’ve walked through.”
A low squealing of metal alerted you to a train on approach. “Show me.” “Show you?” “Please, Five. I need to see it. I will never be content here if I knew something better could be waiting.” He let out a low groan. “Fine. One timeline. And then we’re going back, and I will hear no more of this station.” You nodded fiercely. “Not a word.”
He took you to the first new timeline he came across. He promised to play fair and avoid the few that he'd already seen. Four stops down and you were at your destination - a train station almost identical to the one you'd boarded. Five took note of the few differentials - different symbols on the signs, a murky looking puddle, and so on.
"Done journaling?" you finally asked as he placed his notebook back in his pocket. A look of distaste crossed his lips. "This journaling is what is going to keep you alive. In our timeline at least. Who's to say in this one." "Lovely," you smiled back. "Just stay behind me."
You obliged, following him up the stairs of the station and into the sunlight of the wide open. The heat was the first thing that hit you - it was brutal. Not only was your skin burning, but so were your lungs. It felt like stepping into a blazing fire. "What is this place?" you coughed. When no response immediately came, you turned to Five. He seemed transfixed, eyes shifting around quickly to try and take in as much information as he could. "Five, are you okay?" "This is my apocalypse," he breathed. "This is where I was stuck for forty years." "Fuck." Your voice barely carried above the wind. "Let's get out of here."
Five was still frozen in place when the rain of bullets began. You hit the ground, pushing yourself behind what used to be a car. "Who's shooting at us?" you screamed at Five, who had dropped just after you did. "I am!" he yelled back. He repositioned himself to kneel beside you. The moment his hand hit yours, you were back in the station.
"I am so sorry," you choked out the moment your lungs refilled with air. "I didn't even consider we could end up there." "I knew the risk. I just didn't think we'd end up there so soon." He didn't look at you when he spoke. "I am sorry, Five. I shouldn't have made you show me." "But you did," he sighed. "Let's just get home and forget this ever happened.
You didn't speak to him as you waited for the next train, or as you boarded the car, nor as you stopped at three stations. You did, however, let out a quick gasp when you passed station four at full speed and traveled onto the next. "Did that happen last time?" Five grit his teeth. "It did not." Apprehensively, you spoke again. "We can just get off at the next one and go northbound instead."
It was a great idea, in theory. In reality, the track had shifted, leading you to an entirely new station that held an extremist military regime topside. You got out of that one pretty quickly. Five studied the map some more and went seven stops southbound, leading you directly into the mouth of an active volcano. You tried eleven more south, six more north, two more south, and nineteen more north before you had to rest. "We've been down here for three days," Five finally spoke as the two of you sat around a small fire he had made. "It's been a few minutes now back home. My whole family could be dead." "They're not dead, Five. They have their powers back. They're strong." He rolled his eyes. "You were seconds from death when I brought you here." "And I'm still alive. They have each other, too, Five. When we get back, they'll have every soldier wiped out." "I think you are severely underestimating how much those people wanted to kill us." "And you are severely underestimating your siblings' power. They can handle themselves until you get back." Five sighed. "We'll see."
That conversation had taken place approximately six years, five months, and two days ago.
You had eaten more subway rats in that time than anyone should have to see in their entire lives. The two of you had been shot at, stabbed, burnt, and bitten enough for several lifetimes over, and were somehow still alive. On the bright side, it had gotten much easier to set up camp in the station. The process was almost flawless, with Five tending to a fire and updating his journal as you captured your dinner. Dinner was almost always rats. Some days you got really lucky and found a stray bird. Other days there was no life at all. Today was just average, with you scavenging two healthy sized rats for Five to cook over the fire. "Tonight, I present to you a lovely appetizer of subway rat, following by a delicious main of rat from a subway," you said, pulling the two rodents from behind your back. "Ah, a true delicacy," he smiled up at you. You smiled back, "I aim to please."
You sank to the ground beside him, completely spent from days of running from apocalypse to apocalypse. Five took care of the actually gross part of the meal preparation, and today you watched him work in silence. When he finally leaned back beside you, you spoke. "I'm tired, Five. I don't know how much longer I have in me." "I know," he said softly. Neither of you spoke for a long time. Crackles and sparks from the fire were the only noises that greeted you tonight. No trains ran by either direction, solidifying you were staying just where you were tonight. "Do you remember the greenhouse we found a few weeks ago?" You smiled. "How could I forget? Those strawberries were the highlight of my year." Five let out a small laugh before tightening his lips. "What if we went back there? Just to regroup and regain some strength?" Everything in you wanted nothing more than to go back there - to live whatever time you had left in the warm sun and safety that the timeline had offered. "We can't." "Why not?" "Because I won't be able to leave, Five. I am exhausted to the very core my being, but I would never forgive myself if we gave up. I'm the reason you're here. I can't be the reason you stay here." "Don't say that," Five said softly. "You are not the reason we got stuck. And we aren't giving up. We're just taking a pause." "Fine," you finally give in. "But I'm following you up there. You have to be the one to pull us back to reality." "Kicking and screaming," he smiled.
Train station eighteen north brought you up to the most beautiful place you had ever seen with your own eyes. The grass was green and lush and spread as far as the eye could see. Below your feet, the ground was cool and sturdy, and before you, the path led to a quaint cottage with an attached greenhouse. The sun hit it at all hours of the day and the gardens were overgrown with berries. Wildlife was still abundant here, the deer and rabbits unafraid of the two intruders on their land. It was a paradise.
"Home sweet home," you smiled, opening the door to the most homely abandoned house you'd ever encountered. Technology was different in every timeline, but this one seemed to be similar to a few decades ago in yours. There was a working shower, sinks, and refrigerator, but you also had lamps for light and a wood stove for warmth. Though you loved your family with all your heart, the house you had grown up in had never been a home. This was a home. And it was somehow yours. You were still taking it in when Five rushed past you. "I call first shower." "No fair!" you shouted back, but he was already in the bathroom with the door locked behind him.
While Five showered, you picked your first of many crates of strawberries. They were perfectly ripened and easily the best thing you'd tasted in six and a half years. With shaky hands, you sat down at the table and brought the fruit to your lips. "Thank you," you whispered, unable to stop the flow of tears running from the corner of your eyes unto your collarbones. They were unrelenting and unstoppable once they began. It had been eleven years since you felt this level of peace. And you feared you would never feel it again. Even if you made it back, you knew death was only a step behind you, hot on your heels.
"Alright, I'm-" Five said before crossing the threshold into the living room. With a shaky hand, you wiped your eyes, but Five had already seen your tears. "What's wrong?" "It's nothing," you pushed away, trying to calm your still shaky breaths. "No, it's not. I've known you for twelve years and I have never seen you cry." "I said it was nothing, Five," you said sharply, storming into the greenhouse. He caught up quickly, pulling you swiftly back into his arms. He held you closely, wrapping one arm around your waist and using the other to grab the back of your neck, holding you in place. You could've gotten away easily if you wanted to. But you didn't want to. Your snap was immediate, and this time the tears weren't silent. They were accompanied by sobs that raked through your body and crawled forcefully from your lips. They were uncontainable, uncontrollable, and unrelenting. When your legs became weak, Five lowered to the floor with you, still holding you tightly to his chest. It could've been hours, days, or merely seconds before you were finally able to calm yourself down. Your body had collapsed against Five and you couldn't bring yourself to pull away. You didn't apologize for your breakdown, nor did you make any effort to pull yourself away from him. When you finally mustered the strength to look at him, he was staring down at you.
"What's wrong?" he asked once more. You shake your head slightly, trying to prevent another wave of tears. "It's just so nice here." "It is. Why did that make you cry?" he asked, wiping your matted hair from your face. It took you a moment to find your voice again, your throat still trying to close in on itself. "I haven't felt this peaceful in eleven years. Maybe even then. I don't know if I'll ever experience it again." Five didn't immediately speak, so the words kept coming. "I know I shouldn't feel happy that I'm here, but I do. The world is crashing on almost every single person I have left and I'm here, eating fucking strawberries." "You're stuck here eating strawberries," Five corrected. "You did not choose to abandon the rest of the world; you were forced to. There is no reason you can't find a glimmer of comfort in your own apocalypse." His usual temper was gone, replaced with a softness you'd never seen from him before.
You wanted to kiss him.
You wanted to reach up and pull his lips to yours and disappear into him completely. To hold onto him as the world fell apart around you. To become his.
He kissed you first.
He moved slowly at first, apprehension forcing him to pull his punches. His hands didn't wander as he drank you in, as if he were afraid that one rash movement would snap you back to reality. You pushed further into him, wrapping your arms around him, digging your nails into his scarred skin. That spurred him on. One hand tangling itself into your hair while the other cupped your face against his. Each movement, each scratch and pull and moan pulled him further in, until he was all you could see or feel or think. He was yours. And you were his.
Months passed in domestic tranquility. By day you ate strawberries and game, and by night you drank in each other. The world fell around you, but you remained safe in the haven of your own creation. While this world took care of you, you took care of it. Each morning you turned your attention to the cottage, repairing every last item in disarray. You mended clothing and quilts while Five fixed pipes and floorboards. Not a soul interrupted you during your stay. It seemed you might have been the only souls left - the sole inhabitants of an apocalyptic after. You were the first breath of life after it was wiped from existence.
And from your two lives, came another.
You had suspected you were pregnant for weeks, but your second missed period finally fully convinced you. In a few months, you were going to bring a baby into this world. A perfect child born into an apocalypse. The future, which had finally been palatable, now terrified you. Would this universe collapse again? Did it even matter? Your child would know nothing but the two of you. They would have no friends, no life or love outside of you and Five. Even if you found a way home, how could you bring them into an apocalypse on the verge of collapse?
Five broke you out of your trance. He was flushed and breathing heavily - he had run back from the train station. "I have to tell you something," he said quickly. "So do I." "You go first," you said in sync. You rolled your eyes, though a smile pulled at your lips. He smiled too, before closing the distance between you and pulling you into a deep kiss. He paused as he pulled away. "You go first," he whispered. He remained a breath away from you, holding you tight to him. "I'm pregnant, Five." He drew a sharp breath. "You're sure?" You nodded. "It's been two months. I think I've known for a while now but didn't want it to be true. I've condemned them to death even before their birth." "They won't die here," Five spoke calmly, though his eyes glistened with the ghost of a tear. "I found a cipher. I know the way out."
You refused to believe him until he showed you. Within his hands, Five held the guide to a million universes, with yours at the center. The one which held the rest of your family sat only seven stops away.
"They've been so close all this time," you said as your throat threatened to close in on itself. "They were within our reach all this time." "This knowledge doesn't affect our past. We could've looked for them for years and still not found them. Either of us could've died in the next apocalypse we found. We did what we could to survive this." You shook your head. "We weren't surviving, Five. We were thriving. We found the cushiest apocalypse we could and started playing house." "Is that what this is to you? Playing house?" His tone hardened but his voice didn't rise against you. "What else is it, then?" "I think you know." Your heart stopped beating within your chest the moment the worlds left his mouth. "I don't." "Yes, you do." "Say it then." You refused to pull the words out of him. The three words that you had kept deep within you for the past two years.
"I love you."
Your world stopped. The only things left in existence were you, Five, and the flutter within your stomach.
"I love you, too."
A minute passed. Then two.
"I can't bring our baby back there, Five."
Another minute.
"I know."
The two of you stood in the greenhouse for ages, just staring at the other. No more words were shared. They didn't need to be. Both of you knew what you were asking of the other.
“I’ll age here,” Five spoke softly. “So will I.” You drew in a deep breath. “I age the same as you do without a fight. There’s nothing to keep me young here.” “Maybe that’s a good thing. We can grow old together without the threat of another apocalypse. Raise our child in a world that isn't always on the edge of extinction.” “What about your family?” you ask. "They've mourned me once before. They'll survive a second time." "You'd give them up to stay here. With me?" "For you, my love, I would give up the universe."
Seven months later, you brought your daughter into the world, kicking and screaming. She was as stubborn as her father and caused you to labor for 27 hours before she finally made her debut. Five didn't breathe until she let out her first cry, followed immediately by his. He pushed her onto your chest, holding both of you against his. His tears mixed into yours as he showered you in kisses and praises.
You named her Scarlet, after the shade of the perfect strawberries that had pulled you into this timeline. As much as you could possibly love her, Five loved her more. He hated to be away from her in the hours he needed to hunt or scavenge. He found any way to cut his outings short, pulling her into his arms as soon as he returned. When she was six months old, you sewed him a wrap to carry her with him. She was a far better hunting partner than you were. For however many hours the two were out, both returned happy.
Upon return from metal scavenging one morning when Scarlet was almost one, she returned with a folded-up piece of cloth within her tiny first. "What do you have there, baby girl?" you asked, pulling her from her father's grasp into yours. You unfolded the cloth to find a silver ring. Your fingers traced the intricate patterns adorning the jewelry. "Where did you get this?" you turned to Five, who was knelt before you. "Scarlet and I made it for you." He took the ring back and placed it gingerly onto your left ring finger. "Will you marry me?" "Yes," you exclaimed tenderly, pulling Five up to kiss you. The two of you shared tears of happiness, only interrupted by Scarlet's occasional coo.
Scarlet was four when you stood at the top of the train station, bundled up tightly in the winter air. "Are you sure about this?" Five asked. "As I'll ever be," you said, holding Scarlet tightly at your side. With one hand around you and the other around his daughter, Five led you into the station.
Paring: Past!Five Hargreeves x Gn!Reader.
A/n: erm please ignore the spelling mistakes I made this at 12:57 am. I’m tried and just wanted to make this. And if this makes no sense oh well.
Warning: mentions of drugs.
Past Five is stubborn.
Like you can’t get this boy to get out of the house due to his Fathers rules
Even if Reginald is out doing meetings he wouldn’t sneak out, so you have pull him out.
Forbidden love. Romeo And Juliet trope, your normal and he’s “a teleportation monster.” His words
You definitely forced him to listen to a ‘Hey Lover’ by The Daughters Of Eve on Vinyl (he had to borrow Allison’s Vinyl player, which she wasn’t really happy about.)
Once he learned how to ball dance due to the lessons his father put in the kids. He immediately showed you how to do it with him, and he basically “swooned” you.
Once he time traveled nobody told you until a week later, you do what you usually do throw small rocks at his window. But he didn’t respond so you kept doing it until your arm was sore.
And once his cranky brother Luther opened his window and told you the bad news.
That day you cried on the way home knowing he may not come back.
So once everyone in the house was gone and moved out, you officially became a un-employed employee.
You trimmed the grass outside of the dusty home, planted flowers came to water them on a daily. Pogo noticed you and let you inside for tea, offered you to do it for money which you declined.
So once Reginald died you soon started to interact with Five’s siblings. You first met Allison, she asked what relation you had with him. Because she has never seen you before in her life.
Once she realized you were the reason why Five smirked to himself every day she was happy.
Which brings you to sitting in THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY, Again after 4 years, after being hired by Pogo.
You meet Viktor, a kind soul but miss understood. Then Diego which wasn’t happy with you being there.
Then Klaus which thought you were a long lost sibling, and was definitely higher than a kite.
Luther was okay with seeing you, knowing that you were Fives love. And recognizing you from years ago.
You were exploring the large mansion more, it smelt like leather mixed with dust, And rich people. Soon a large blue light caught your attention.
You ran to were it was, and shoved behind Diego. A small person came out of it. It was your Five.
I'll admit, I was a Goody Two Shoes so my parents never had to show up to the principal's office, but I love fics where that happens!
Sandbox Fight
Warnings: slight cursing, mentions of small fights, arguments, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Hargreeves siblings x niece reader, Diego Hargreeves x daughter reader
Request: Hello!! Could I please request a Diego Hargreeves x child!reader (around 10 maybe) where she gets into a fight at school but Diego isn't available so all his siblings take his place when they go to the school to talk about it, but eventually he comes and just walks in and sees all his siblings and is like: wtf.
Request by: @your-local-lover
*not my gif*
Summary: Your father was unavailable, but you needed someone. How about a lot of someone’s? Like all your favorite uncles and aunt?
A/N: This one was fun to write
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
“She did not!” Klaus gasped dramatically, as if gossiping, into the old fashioned phone, putting a hand over his mouth for good measure.
“What’s going on?” Allison asked, walking into the kitchen and looking around in confusion.
Viktor was sitting at the table with his head in his hand, using his other one to drum his fingers across the wood of the tabletop and glancing up at Klaus every once in a while. And Luther sat across from him, eating a sandwich.
The blonde haired man shrugged, taking another bite of his food as Klaus shushed all three of them.
“Don’t you worry,” He continued to speak to the person on the other side of the call, “I will be there right away.”
With that he hung up.
Barely a second later he started giggling into the hand that he put over his mouth.
Five walked in and rolled his eyes slightly, “What’s got you grinning like an idiot, over there?”
“I-“ The man giggled again, “I just got a call from Y/n’s principal saying that her parent or guardian needs to go to the school right away because n/n got into a fight!”
Everybody’s jaws dropped, “N/n got into a fight?” Luther asked in shock, unable to picture you fighting anybody.
Only for the fact that your father threatened to ground you for life if you ever did again, not because he didn’t think you wouldn’t gladly get into a fight. You were your fathers daughter after all. Diego was always up for a fight, and you didn’t take his threats lightly, especially since you were only ten years old and in a phase where you took everything said to you very literally.
“But Diego’s out of town for the day.” Allison frowned.
“I know!” Klaus exclaimed happily, “That’s why I’m going in his place!”
“Are we sure that’s the best idea?” Viktor gave him a meaningful look.
He just moved his hand, as if waving off the idea, “Oh, yes, everything is going to be splendid.”
Allison’s hand shot in the air, “Am I the only one who feels like we need to stop that?”
“How about we all go?” Five suggested, rubbing his temples to ward off an oncoming headache.
Viktor shrugged in return and Allison nodded.
Klaus clapped his hands together, “Ooh, wonderful! Let’s go right away!”
“Wait guys!” Luther shouted, mouth full as he tried to stuff down the last of his sandwich while watching his siblings leave the room.
Right before exiting the house, Klaus made sure to leave a message- in very messy handwriting- on a paper near the door telling Diego to go to your school ASAP once he got back.
The ten minute car ride over was filled with screaming, fighting over control of the aux, Five almost getting pulled over for speeding, and Ben appearing and then wishing that he hadn’t.
After parking, everybody filed- more like stumbled- out of the car and in through the doors of the main office, their speaking volume nearly giving the elementary school receptionist a heart attack.
Five had been the one to calmly step forward and tell her that they were here for you- your aunt and uncles- and she had been too busy pointing a shaky finger at the waiting area to even question the clear differences between all of them.
After about five minutes of Ben and Klaus arguing over a seat, Luther falling asleep in his own, Five reading a discarded newspaper, and Allison and Viktor looking like they wanted to be with anyone but them, the principal's office door opened and they were all beckoned in.
They quickly piled in, quickly taking in the sight of you sitting in a chair facing the principals large desk, with a small girl and her parents a couple feet away.
As soon as your uncles and aunt filled the room, you looked up with a large grin, jumping into Viktors arms, “Vicky!” You cheered, hugging him tight.
Your principal was quick to clear his throat obnoxiously before your uncle could even hug back, “Ms. Hargreeves, that is no way to behave.” His scolding was very unnecessary in the eyes of your relatives.
He clearly hadn’t been expecting all these people, because there were only two chairs next to you, which Allison quickly sat down in, and Klaus pushed Luther out of the way to sit in the other.
“Which one of you are her parents?” He asked quite rudely with a raised eyebrow.
“Oh, that would be none of us.” Five spoke up from the wall he was leaning against, eyes narrowing, “We are her uncles and aunt, her father couldn’t make it at the moment.”
The principal's eyes quickly cast down to his desk, uncomfortable, “I see.”
The other girl's mom, who’s whole family had been yet to say anything, finally spoke up, “I believe we should get started?” Her words were a question, but her tone was a demand.
“Yes, very well.” He said, sitting up straighter and adjusting his tie, “As you had been informed earlier, Y/n started a fight today at recess.”
“Wait,” Allison said, holding up a hand and raising an eyebrow, “She started the fight?” She found that hard to believe.
After Diego’s threat about being grounded for life, you had been so scared to never eat dessert again that you didn’t even play-fight with Uncle Luther anymore.
The mom was quick to nod, “Oh, yes. She obviously hit my daughter first, and then she only hit back out of self defense.” Her voice was matter-of-fact and snotty.
Five rolled his eyes, “Shocker, your daughter only hit back out of,” he held up air quotes, “‘Self defense’ when Y/n would never start a fight.”
The woman whipped around, nostrils flaring, “Is there something you would like to say to me, young man?” She challenged.
Just as he was about to push off the wall to accept the challenge, Viktor put a hand on his shoulder to calm him down, “Why don’t you tell us what happened, Y/n.”
You finally looked up from your spot where you had been kicking the ground, and watched the reassuring faces of your family as you spoke, avoiding eye contact with the glaring mother and father on the other side of the room.
“Well,” You mumbled sheepishly, “I was just trying to play in the sandbox when she came up to me and told me that it was her sandbox and that if I didn’t get out she would hit me.” You took a deep breath before continuing, “I said no because it was still my turn, but she didn’t like that so she threw sand in my eyes and pushed me. And when I was falling my leg accidently hit her and she fell down too.”
When you finished you had tears in your eyes.
Once your family saw this, it made Allison sit up straighter, Klaus become more serious, Luther’s eyebrows to furrow, Ben to glare at the other girl slightly, Viktor to reach out and rub your back comfortingly, and for Five's fists to clench.
The principal studied you for a moment before slowly turning to look at the other little girl, “Is that what happened?”
At first she shook her head, but then you glared at her and snapped, “You get into more trouble if you lie about it then if you tell the truth.” Something your dad used to say to you when you would deny eating the last cookie after he told you not to.
Her eyes widened, and then the tears began flooding out of her eyes.
She let out a sob as they continued cascading down her cheeks like a waterfall and she hiccuped a couple times before saying, “It’s true! I did do that!”
Her parents' eyes widened as they looked down at her and their mouths opened and closed like fish.
From behind you, all your uncles and aunt adopted smug looks.
“W-well she should have just gotten out of the sandbox!” Her mom stuttered out, standing up and pointing at you accusingly.
Then all hell broke loose.
That was the last straw for your family.
Allison stood up immediately and started a yelling match with the other mom, each one of them getting louder every time sound came out of their mouth.
The dad started glaring at you and Luther immediately moved in front of you to block his view of you, Five following close behind.
Both of them began snapping at the man, telling him off and giving him a good scolding.
The little girl, who was still crying, had started to bawl even harder and Klaus came up next to her and started telling her about the time he lied and his nose grew.
He didn’t exactly tell her that it didn’t actually happen to him, he was just talking about the old movie, Pinocchio.
Even though nobody could see him, Ben was glaring at the principal, who looked around nervously, as if he could feel someone watching him.
Just then, the door opened, but nobody seemed to notice, even you were too busy watching everything else going on around you.
“What the-“ Diego asked, stopping short when all the chaos in the room immediately shut off as everyone noticed his presence.
“Oh!” Klaus looked delighted as he turned around, “Did you get my note?”
“Yeah, I got the note.” The man said, eyebrows furrowed in both confusion and concern.
“Daddy!” You cheered, hopping out of your chair and running into his arms.
This time, the principal was too afraid to scold you.
After that, Allison had flipped her hair over her shoulder dramatically and taken you out of Diego’s arms, strutting out of the room, the rest of your family quickly following.
It was safe to say that the principal or that girl never seemed to have a problem with you again after that. Your family just seemed to scare them too much. You honestly had no idea why.
Even better though, you weren’t even grounded for getting into a fight, Uncle Klaus then used that as an excuse to take everybody out to ice cream. With Five buying, of course.
Request | Part Two: I Usually Hate Kids... But She's Fine
Diego Hargreeves x Daughter!Reader
WC: 1572
"Dad!!!! Pleaseee!!!!"
You were following your dad around your house as he completed multiple of his daily tasks. You were pulling at his clothing and begging.
"(Y/N)." He said sternly, in his scary dad voice, you paused instantly. "we are not getting a dog"
"What if... I come up with a whole presentation on why I should get one! Will you let me get one then?"
Diego was so done listening to his daughter beg and beg that he just huffed and agreed, not thinking much of it and just being grateful that he could get some work done without you whining in his ear about getting a dog. You absolutely adored dogs, they were your favourite animal. One time, Klaus was babysitting you and heard about your love of dogs. Then he made the decision to challenge you to name as many as you could. Bad decision. He was sat there for the next 30 minutes listening you go into detail about all the different dog breeds. So it wasn't a shock when you began to beg for a dog almost every single day.
~*~*~*~*~
Diego had forgotten that he agreed to let you give him a presentation on why you should have a dog, but you certainly didn't. Every single moment of free time that you had was spent researching, writing and putting together a presentation. After about a week of doing so, your presentation was finally ready. You dressed yourself smartly and rehearsed your speech, then you called Diego into the living room. He didn't know why you had called him downstairs until he saw a PowerPoint on the TV reading: 'Why I should have a dog, a presentation by (Y/N) (Y/M/N) Hargreeves.'
He huffed in defeat, knowing he'd now have to sit through your presentation even though he was still probably gonna say no anyway. He sat down on the sofa and you began your presentation. You explained what you would need to take proper care of the dog, how you would care for all its needs, walk it, feed it, pick up after it et cetera, et cetera. Diego sat through the presentation, beginning to feel guilty at the fact that you had prepared this whole thing just for him to probably say no. As you progressed through the rather long presentation, Diego began to consider saying yes. From the looks of it, you seemed ready to take care of a dog. Besides, it could protect you when Diego was gone. As you came to a finish on your presentation, Diego was certain he'd get you one. However, he wanted to surprise you...
"So... can I get a dog?"
"I'm sorry, no."
~*~*~*~*~
It had been a few days since Diego had listened to your little speech and since then he had been trying to find the perfect dog. He settled on a golden retriever puppy, knowing how much you loved them. As he walked out of the pet store, he went to the store to get some wrapping paper for the carrier. He wrapped up the carrier; poking holes in the paper to ensure it could breathe. The pup seemed content with being wrapped up and calmly fell alseep inside the carrier. Diego walked in, holding the wrapped-up carrier and called you into the room. Confused, you walked in and saw the present. It wasn't your birthday or Christmas, how come you had a present?
"Well c'mon kid, open it!"
Diego urged, secretly beginning to record what would be one of the happiest moments of your life. Perplexed, you tore open the wrapping paper, revealing the dog. Your face contorted into shock and then you began to cry tears of happiness while opening the carrier and holding the puppy.
"You.. you got me a dog! Oh my god, its so cute, i love it!!!!"
You sprung up from your spot on the floor, putting the dog down and running to hug your dad whilst thanking him profusely. You wrapped your arms around him and he smiled and hugged you back. Excitedly, you turned back to the dog and began playing with it. Diego watched and smiled at your happiness.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Ever since Diego had gotten the dog, you were inseperable. The dog followed you around constantly and you were never seen with it. It slept in your bed, played with you, went on walks with you, it did everything with you. So, when Diego's father died and he had to go to the funeral, he knew the dog would have to come too. He got you and the dog into the car and began driving to the mansion, watching you play with the dog always made him crack a smile. You arrived to the house and you scooped the dog into your arms and walked in. It was so empty and such a large space so you put the dog down to walk around. The dog ran off towards someone and you chased it, bumping into your Uncle Luther. The dog smacked into his leg and began pawing at him. Luther just awkwardly stared at the dog and leaned down to pat it on the head.
"Oh, erm.. I'm really sorry he ran over to you, he's just excited."
"Uh, its fine, I guess... wait who even are you?!"
"I'm (Y/N), I'm Diego's daughter."
He backed away a little once he knew you were Diego's. Him and Diego had never really gotten on together very well. He didn't say anything else and just walked out of the room. You just stood there, confused at the whole conversation before the dog ran over to two new people. It was a woman and a man, Allison and Viktor, the woman began aw-ing at the dog, bending down to pat it and stroke it. Viktor was more hesitant and backed away a little. He had never been all that good with animals.
"Aren't you a sweet little thing?" Allison cooed at the puppy. You quickly ran over again, apologising for the dog scaring them. Allison assured you it was okay before quickly realising she had no clue who you were or why you were here.
"Wait.. sweetheart who are you and where are your parents?" You quickly explained how Diego was your father but you had to run off after the dog so you had no idea where he had gone. Allison was shocked at how sweet and adorable you were compared to Diego. You were dressed so sweet and innocent, which was strange considering how dark and gothic Diego's attire was.
Diego rushed into the room to find you talking to Allison and Viktor and grabbed your hand once you had once again picked up your dog. He dragged you away from them, seemingly annoyed that you were talking to them. Allison scoffed at his behaviour, she had just encountered him earlier and he had been rather cold to her and Viktor. All the siblings were told to gather in the living room to dicuss something, you were sat on a cosy chair in a corner of the room, quietly playing with the dog. Nobody had actually come to the living area yet, other than you, but that was because Diego was off somewhere investigating something. One of the adults you hadn't yet met came into the room, quickly spotting you in the corner. He looked strange, dishevelled hair, tattoos on both hands and wearing an old-fashioned skirt with no shirt and a jacket. He nervously walked over to you, kneeling down, looking at you with concern and intrigue.
"Well hi there sweetie, I'm Klaus, what are you doing here? You're not a ghost, are you?"
He said softly, his voice becoming more nervous towards the end of his sentence. You looked at him, slightly afraid, the last part of what he said had scared you slightly.
"N-no, I'm (Y- Y/N).. I'm Diego's daughter and I'm not a ghost!"
He gasped after hearing that you were Diego's daughter, he hadn't taken notice of the dog on your lap and suddenly it jumped up at him. He squaled in surprise at the dog and fell backwards. You also shrieked, caught off guard by the sudden loud noise. Your dad and uncle Luther burst into the room, alarmed at the sudden commotion, Diego being concerned about your safety. As they finally got there, all they saw was Klaus on the floor, an alarmed expression displayed on his features, with the dog licking his face and you giggling hysterically. They sighed in relief, seeing that nobody had been hurt.
They had their meeting and you began to get tired, Diego decided he'd just take you home instead of making you sit through a miserable funeral. He excused himself and drove you and the dog home. You passed out on your bed, the dog laying next to you. Diego smiled at you and shut the door.
(A/N: I really don't like this story but whatever)
never changing; part two [ five hargreeves x reader ]
a/n: y’all this ain’t much i’m still trying to reacommodate myself back into writing but i will share a final part 3 to this imagine eventually!!!
again this is just fluff and banter i love keeping things light hearted
and i’m trying to heal myself with what could’ve been 😔
summary: you and the hargreeves siblings start your rescue mission
“Well, you all certainly look shittier than the other,” You crossed your arms awkwardly, watching the seven Hargreeves siblings as they were all clutching onto their bodies, sprawled across what used to be the fancy mansion that they grew up in.
Now it was just looking as beat down as your family.
“You’re fucked up in the head,” Ben groaned, making you roll your eyes.
“Coming from the dipshit who roofied his siblings with space juice… that’s a big statement,” Diego mumbled, as the others nodded in agreement.
After Gracie’s birthday party, you intended to go back to the office and catch up on some paperwork. The current case you were working on was truly a pain in the ass. Ever since you started working on it a couple of months ago, you didn’t think that anything else was more important than trying to win it. Boy, were you wrong.
You intended to leave the party a bit earlier, so that’s exactly what you did. Even if you felt like you couldn’t get enough of bantering with the family, playing with Gracie and most specially, talking to Five, you eventually dragged yourself back to the car and drove back to work. You needed that gathering, you truly did- in spite of the inevitably awkward moments.
That’s why when Five called you to inform to that Viktor got kidnapped, you didn’t hesitate to drive back to the mansion and regroup with the siblings to rescue their brother. One thing led to another, you managed to save him and even celebrate after that, but it wouldn’t be a Hargreeves mission without something going sideways.
“We have to get going, asshats,” Five reminded you all, stroking his hair.
You wanted to comfort him, as your heart sunk watching the dark circles around his eyes. His skin was as pale as a ghost, and he was groaning lightly through heavy breaths. His long fingers were running through his messy hair, as his other hand was holding the marigold jar loosely.
You always thought how stupid it was that you could just look at him for hours, just because he was so pretty. He could be doing nothing, you still couldn’t get enough of him.
This is so embarrassing, it’s been six years, you thought to yourself, looking away exactly as he caught a glimpse of your stare, Besides, he looks like he is dying. Handsomely, but dying, nonetheless.
The same man who kidnapped Viktor last night entrusted you with a rescue mission to bring his daughter back home. You decided not to pursue it, eventually, and before you went your separate ways, you all had a shot of Sake, ushered by Ben.
The rest is history.
Point is, everyone seemed to have their powers back.
“Shotgun,” You raised a hand, as the seven siblings started cussing at you on your way to Diego and Lila’s van.
You felt very nostalgic, since so many years passed without being with everyone. It was bittersweet, but you tried to promise to yourself to not get too attached. You liked your current life, and as lovely as it was spending time with Five, that led to nowhere. It was just a stupid little crush, anyway.
The family van was parked in front of the building, right in front of your car, so Diego started moving some thing into your car trunk to make room for everyone. Allison and Klaus were talking to Claire on the phone, as Ben, Luther and Lila were bickering about the sconces and Viktor was still trying to calm his nerves.
“You okay?” You placed your hand on Five’s shoulder, feigning a confident smile.
You were honestly so concerned for them, all of them.
“Just the most annoying hangover in my life,” Five placed his hand on yours absentmindedly.
Maybe it wasn’t that big of a deal, he appreciated your concern, he always did. When he got hurt in missions you were always scolding him and he acted annoyed with your protectiveness, but this was the first time he actually showed gratitude for it.
“But you don’t gotta get all up in my ass,” He added with a smirk, taking your hand off his shoulder.
There it was.
He still held onto it, proudly, as you rolled your eyes, not even noticing how naturally your hands locked together.
“Oh please, you’d love me to get all up on you,” You scoffed, making him chuckle.
“Since when are you so arrogant?” He wondered.
“I may have picked up a thing or two from you over the years,” You shrugged your shoulders lightly.
“Should’ve picked up the phone more often,” Five said, causing you to wave a hand in front of your face bored of how many times you’ve been told that;
“The phone that…”
“Works both ways,” He interrupted you, “Yeah, yeah.”
“Then you don’t really have a leg to stand on,” You declared with a smile.
“Is that right?” He took a step closer, eyeing you curiously.
If you were to ask him where did that come from, he really had no idea what to say. Five always was unpredictable, but this was something new. But then again, it’s not like your relationship was that cold- it wasn’t. However, he was playing with fire a tad too much.
It all felt so ridiculous. How could he still make your heart thump heavily just with a simple look? You felt so little compared to him, as hard as you tried to seem confident. With the help of your platform boots you were still almost reaching his chin, and that was to show you just how young you both still were, even if your mental ages begged to differ.
“You still look like shit,” You broke the ice, still trying to keep up a tough exterior.
“Bullshit,” Five grinned, obviously feeling a lot better.
Little did you know how much your simple presence helped his mental well-being.
Surprisingly, he thought to himself.
“Are you two gonna suck faces or can we move along?” Ben suddenly walked up to you and his brother, as the rest of the family was watching everything unfold as if it was a soap opera.
“Why’d you wanna watch your brother kiss someone?” You wondered, letting go of Five’s hand to climb into the car along the others.
“That’s not okay,” Klaus agreed.
“You’re getting weirder by the second,” Allison told Ben, as he tried to argue.
“What the fuck?” Diego turned to watch his brother disgusted, as Viktor was just silently side-eyeing the tentacle man.
“I fucking hate you all,” Ben said defeated, looking around the car.
“At least they don’t wanna watch their fresh 19 year old brother eat tongue,” You couldn’t help the banter.
“Don’t say fresh 19,” Luther chimed in as well, as the siblings turned to you now.
“He is 64, nothing about him is fresh,” Klaus pointed out.
“Shut the fuck up, fuckface,” Five only rolled his eyes.
And thus the road-trip begun.
Five Hargreeves x reader
Tag: @thirteen2003fan & @instabull
Warnings: talking about death, sad Five.
Five looked at Diego and Lila trying to find their “son” Stanley. Five rolled his eyes and sighed knowing the kid he probably got kugelblitz.
He turned his head a bit and grumbled, “Can you believe it Y/N they lost the kid they adopt all because they are sentient STDs.” He then actually looked at his side and saw no one. It’s been a habit lately that he talks to himself thinking his wife was just going to be there. He decided to ignore them for a bit and saw Luther and Sloane. They wanted them to join them at the Sparrow academy.
While walking to the academy he thought about everything he went the past 20 days and more. First, he landed in the courtyard of his house, back to his 20-year-old body. Then he tried to save that apocalypse from his brother, which made him take his family back in time to save them, he landed in the ’60s and tried to save his family from that apocalypse. Took them to the right time but not the right timeline and now he has a stupid kugelblitz to handle yet again. Can’t even get a break right Y/N?
He remembers finding a Polaroid camera during your little search in the apocalypse and taking a picture with you. He remembers your smile and the giggles you will let out when he will say something about his calculations that you knew you weren’t able to understand. It made him want to cry remembering you. He zones back when they got to the academy and Fei opens the door for them.
“Lovely to meet you.” Lila introduces herself to Fei.
“Welcome.” Fei returns to gesture, “make yourselves at home.” She tells the academy people.
Allison who was already in a bad mood, “bitch this is our home.” And sat down.
Five decided to ignore them for now and listen to what Diego noticed. “Where the hell is Viktor and Klaus?”
Five chuckled, “With our luck, probably kugelblitzed by now.”
Diego looked at him weirdly. “You’re a dark little dude sometimes.”
Five listened to Diego and Ben argue like little children and sighed. Jesus, why can’t they just get to the point? “Okay, if the testosterone twins are done, I’d like to get back to a plan.”
Viktor then jogged into the room looking around. He looked like he was about to be in tears.
“Where is he?” He asked looking at the Sparrow academy and then at Allison. Five also looked at them not knowing who they were talking about but having a clue who. Five zoned them out a bit, but Ben brought him back.
“20 bucks on the little one,” Ben whispered to Five while eating cheese puffs. Five looked at him and thought about it.
“I’ll take that action.” Five leaned to Ben to whisper to him, not wanting to get in the middle of his sibling's fight.
‘You shouldn’t be betting on your own siblings Miele that’s just mean coming from you.’ He can already know what would be his wife’s words if she was here.
“This wasn’t about saving the world. This was about hurting me. Payback for - -“ Viktor started, making Five stop thinking about his wife and listening to Viktor and Allison argue.
“Go on. Say her name.” Allison went on looking intimidating and looking down at Viktor. Five got tired of it and stood up.
“That’s it Allison we get it you’re hurt you lost your daughter, but everyone lost someone, not just you, you can’t just say this shit to Viktor, you killed someone important to him.” Five exclaimed back at Allison and everyone started looking at him. Five was pissed everyone lost someone, Luther lost Pogo in a way, Diego lost his mother, Klaus lost our Ben and Dave, and Viktor lost Sissy and now Harlan. Allison turned to him.
“You haven’t lost anyone Five you were stuck in the apocalypse and you were gone for years so how the hell can you say you lost someone!” She screamed at him while holding back tears. Five gave a painful laugh and looked at his sister with so much pain.
“You think I didn’t lose someone too?! I lost my own wife! My happiness I lost her to the stupid apocalypse that I so badly wanted to save all of you guys because those were her last words to me! To save my family! I lost the one person that kept me sane all those years from an illness that we both couldn’t do anything because guess what Allison!?” Five yelled while looking at her, “There was no medicine! No cure! No hospital! I saw the love of my life die in my arms! So to answer your stupid question sister yes I did lose someone are you happy now?!” Five finished and had to take deep breaths.
The whole family looked at him lost for words, not knowing what to tell their young but older brother from the news that he told them. Five sighed and started sniffling feeling the weight of guilt for his wife drowning him. “I lost the only person that I cared about, and I couldn’t do anything to keep her alive with me. I miss her. I miss my Y/N.” Five wept softly. Diego sighed and grabbed his brother and hugged him.
Five felt rigid not having felt a hug since the last one you gave him. He slowly stop tensing and hugged his brother back and cried. Five broke down his walls and held on to Diego for support.
“I miss her Diego and I can’t do anything to bring her back.”
The Apocalypse was over and Five Hargreaves did what he did best, drink and cope. The first few weeks of freedom he tried things he had missed early on in his childhood. It started when Viktor took him shopping for a new, more appropriate wardrobe, that someone who looked his age would wear. Then he would often visit the park just to admire the beauty of places that were once a baron landscape. And sometimes he just spent his time reading catching up on what he missed in the last few years.
But old habits die hard when you spend 54 years alone and the next 2 weeks desperate to save yourself and save your family. Maybe Klaus was right when he called the apocalypse his drug because, for a while, it was all he’d ever know.
Five hadn’t slept well in a long time and despite his newfound freedom without the looming feeling of impending doom. He would find himself waking up at 4 am to check his window and just to see if everything was real.
The Academy had been empty for a bit, the first week his family had stayed back to collect themselves, celebrate, and appreciate one another but slowly their lives fell back into place. Allison went back to Claire wanting to get back her career and her daughter back. Luther wanted to find his independence and took a small helping from his inheritance to live on his own. Diego and Lila had also moved out in hopes of continuing to grow their relationship and perhaps find happiness in normalcy. Viktor, now confident in himself wanting to explore the world more began traveling and meeting new people. To Five it felt like everyone had moved on, except him. He had been the one to jump through time, and now he felt like he was stuck in it.
However this morning, his silent coffee and breakfast time was interrupted but a surprisingly sober Klaus barging through the door with a girl no taller than 5’3 who looked as if she had been dragged through the mud and a forest in his arms.
“I didn’t know where to bring her she ran into me frantic and couldn’t speak much,”
“There wasn’t anyone chasing her so I have no idea where she came from and she’s in pretty bad shape.”
Klaus looked panicked, he felt bad for the beat-up girl in his arms but what could he do besides bring her to the place he knew could help her best.
Grace and Pogo immediately took action, bringing the girl into the spare room to care for her wounds.
“What makes you think you can just bring random people in here? She could be dangerous?”
Five arched his eyebrow at Klaus’s behavior. He wasn’t a trusting man but he trusted his brother’s intuition and the girl genuinely looked like she needed help.
“I couldn’t just leave her on the road. I’m not a bad person Five. There’s something different about her I swear.”
Five looked distrustful at what his brother was saying.
“Well, we’ll just have to see when she wakes up.”
The two went back to doing their own things in the Academy waiting for you to wake up.
————————-3 days later————————
The sun shone brightly in the room you stayed at. Your eyes slowly opened, blinking harshly to adjust to the shining light. You had no idea where you were, this new place was uncomfortable and unfamiliar. Warm wood furniture decorated the walls, and the mattress you slept on seemed more comfy, soft, and warmer than your old hay-filled cot. Unsurprisingly your wounds ached but were clean nevertheless. You jumped when the door swung open to reveal a monkey? no an ape? in a suit. "Ah you're finally awake, Ill let the others know"
"I am Pogo by the way, please rest, we don't want your stitches reopening." Maybe it was the exhaustion catching up to you, but you listened to his words and laid back, staring at the large high ceilings waiting to see if whoever brought you here would be like your old doctors. Back downstairs Pogo noticed Five pacing around in the living room. "Any troubles worrying you?" "Yes that girl, I can't find any information about her, she had no ID, no name card, I even looked around the area trying to track back where she came from, and nothing." Five glanced around, more cautious of his surroundings
"What if the commission sent her?" "This is not good, not good at all"
And with a quick turn, he teleported to the room of which his unwelcome guest occupied. A flash of blue interrupted your daydreams when a boy about your age in a green flannel, cargo pants, with slightly long side parted hair entered your space. Besides appearing out of nowhere he looked almost normal, but that didn't stop you from being scared. Shivering you pushed yourself back on the bed as far as you could to try to get away from him. Sensing your fear Five held out his hands as a way to show you some form of peace. Lowering one hand he slowly approached you. But the closer he came the farther back you shuffled. Something wasn't right Five thought. You were terrified of him, what had happened to you to cause you to be in such a state.
Hey Im not going to hurt you, I don't know who you are but Im not going to hurt you." Five could see that you weren't budging so he reached into his pocket and pulled out a hazelnut toffee-flavored candy. He wasn't a big fan of sweets but had kept some from his last visit to a local coffee shop. "Here you must be a little hungry, it's good to see." He popped it in his mouth to show her that it was safe, not a trick. Slowly you reached out and touched his hand, grabbing the little treat, unwrapping it before letting the gooey sweet melt on your tongue. Five smiled at your reaction. "See? It was good." He thought you looked adorable with big doe eyes waiting to see if he had any more. He reached into his right pocket and pulled out another handle full of candies. "Ill give you one each time you answer a question. Can you do that for me?" You nodded slowly. "Okay, can you tell me your name?" "Angel" you pointed to yourself "Five" you pointed to him. You had heard Klaus shouting his name when you entered the house. "Angel? Do you have a last time?" "Five. Five Hargreeves" He pointed to himself. "Angel" You repeated. Okay maybe you didn't have a last name that was fine, at least he had gotten a name. He gave you another candy and watched you excitedly open it. "Okay Angel, another question where did you come from? Who or what were you running from?" "Doctor" you responded looking down. "What Doctor? What did he do to you." You felt like you should have known better than to trust the boy in front of you, but he looked so earnest so sweet, that you decided to show him your secret. Opening your fist a ball of shadows appeared in your hand before you tossed it into the air letting whatever light was in the room dissipate. Five knew what this had suggested. Whoever took you, held you captive, and experimented on you. Perhaps they were trying to make you into one of the unlucky 43. Another candy was handed to you.
“Show me more” Five demanded. You blinked at him slowly before he put another candy in your hand. “Show me.”
You looked at him and brought both your hands up into the air. He watched shadows run from the ground into the room and swirl around you. It appeared you could summon shadows at your will and control them.
“Good girl” and another candy as placed in your hand. "Tell me, Angel, do you know where or who it was? Do you know the name of the commission?" You stared at him blankly not understanding what he said. Before Five could ask any more questions Klaus had burst through the door. "My Angel! You are okay !" As he rushed towards you to grab your face. Stunned you jolted back from his presence. "Angel, that's why she called herself that, it's not her name, it’s what you called her!" Five went to smack Klaus in the back of the head when his hand was stopped by a shadow. "No hurt, Klaus friend" With heart eyes, Klaus dove into Angel's arms "LOOK AT MY ANGEL PROTECTING ME!!" With the gentleness of a newborn deer, Angel reached out to Klaus with a small sweet in her hand. "Candy?" "For me? Of course, Angel thank you!" Rolling his eyes at the scene Five teleported to his room to think. Where had this girl come from she had no name could barely speak and had a dark power with unknown consequences. Angel clad in Umbrella Academy uniform, and Klaus were in the living room when a flash appeared in the doorway. "Cinco! Where are you off to?" "Library I need to do some research." But just before he would reach for the doorknob a body was flung into his back. "Here take Angel with you, she needs a new set of clothes, can't have her wearing this uniform, you know all about that wouldn't you?" Klaus said as he shoved Angel forward. "I don't have time, I'm not a babysitter." Five expressed as he grabbed your arms and pushed you back. "Five...mad?" You looked up at Five with tears in your eyes. Reaching out to his face with his hand you softly pet his cheek. "Five...happy. Happy"
The time travelers face softened at the kindness you showed while trying to console him.
“I’m sorry Angel, yes Five is happy. Come on let’s go.”
He grabbed your hand ignoring the feeling of his heart when your soft skin wrapped around his.
————————-In the Car—————————
“Alright Angel, as cute as you look in the uniform we have to get you some normal clothes.”
Five looked over at you, but you were looking out the window. His green eyes passed over the cuts on your legs and the faint but visible bruises on your neck. It wondered him how someone could do this to you, turn a girl who seemed like an Angel into a shadow user. He parked the car at Gimble's before flashing to your side of the door to open it, Five was still a gentleman after all. "Okay now Angel, we're here to buy you some new clothes." You nodded your head to show you understood him and hopped out of the car excited to see the world around you. Being locked up for so long you had forgotten what the outside world looked like. Today the sky was blue with warm gusts of winds filling the air. People and families were seen chattering about. You reached out to grab Five's arm and pulled him closer to the store. Five chucked at your childlike antics, letting himself be whisked away by you. You dragged him to the dress section; some of the kinder doctors had given you books to look at to pass the time, many of them being princess books. There were cute frilly dresses that caught your eye immediately. Rushing forward you grabbed 3 dresses that might have suited you. With a sigh Five grabbed your shoulders wanting to tell you to go find some more practical everyday clothes. But after seeing the glimmer in your eye as if you found the most priceless thing...he couldn't bear take that away from you. "Come on Princess, let's go try them on." He ushered you to the changing room and waited outside. As he turned his back you grabbed his hand, but Five had yanked it back at the unexpected contact. He wasn't completely used to physical touch yet.
Ignoring this you grabbed his hand once more and tried to take him into the dressing room with you. "No Angel I can't go with you, just put on the dresses inside and Ill wait out here."
You had refused to let go of his hand. With another sign he allowed himself to be pulled into the confined space of the changing room. You quickly shimmied out of the uniform skirt and tie throwing it into a random corner. Five's face turned a deep scarlet red, although he was an older man the sight of your small and barely clothes body was enough to make him shift in his pants. Before he could embarrass himself any further he blinked out into the waiting room fanning his face as if he ran a marathon. There were small warning signs in his brain, don't get too attached, she doesn't know better, please don't get a boner right now. Trying to collect himself he put his hands in his face wanting to be anywhere but here right now. You interrupted his train of thought when you came out bouncing with a big smile on your face. The dress you picked out was a cute white summer dress that was white had thick straps tied on your shoulders. The skirt part stopped right above your knees and flared out with a twirl. You looked absolutely adorable, an Angel who wielded the power of a devil. "You look...beautiful" Five muffled through his hand. "Beautiful?" You questioned. "Yes you, Angel, you are beautiful." And as if your smile couldn't get any bigger, you ran and jumped into Five, his arms slowly wrapping around your frame to prevent you from falling.
"Five! Beautiful!" You smiled and pointed at him. Your fingers had graced his cheeks into a smile. Pointing at his dimple "Five! Beautiful" you repeated. "Oh, you think I'm beautiful Angel?" Five couldn't help but also feel happy and continue smiling, something about you felt like a breath of fresh air. His last few weeks had been nonstop paranoia and feeling the effects of an identity crisis, but hearing your laughter and seeing you call him beautiful, it felt as if he was actually living again. However, that didn't stop the nagging fear in the back of his mind of where you came from and what had happened to you. Perhaps it was the assassin in him that just couldn't let him...enjoy a moment. "Come on Angel, let’s get the rest of the dresses and pay. We need to head to the library before it closes." You nodded your head and skipped off to grab the rest of your dresses and clothes. You and Five stood at the cashier waiting to pay. "That will be 45.78." Five pulled out a 50 and felt your head lean on his shoulder. "Five, thank you." You looked up at him with a mischievous gleam in your eye. As he was retrieving his change you leaned up and placed your soft lips on the corner of his mouth. "Five happy?" He looked down at you and blushed "Yes Five is very happy." ————————The Library—————————- You were sat in Five's lap flipping through a picture book while he was doing research. Unfortunately, there was almost no information about any kind of suspicious activities in the area where they had found you or even how you even got to the city. Five had to expand his research on places that might have to do with experimental tests but with so little access he was found himself at a dead end. "Nothing! Absolutely Nothing!" Five yelled before slamming his notebook on the table. You jumped in his lap and covered your ears, eyes filling with heavy teardrops waiting to fall. "Shit Angel Im sorry come here." He cooed wrapping his arms around you for the fourth time today. Five pressed a kiss to the top of your hair and inhaled slowly. You smelt like a blooming meadow and a hint of cinnamon. Closing his eyes he rested his head on yours. It wasn't been often when he felt a peace like this, heck he didn’t even remember the last time he felt calm, other than when he was drinking or passed out after a mission. Your eyelashes fluttered on his neck as you began to press small kisses on his jawline. "Come on Angel what are you doing?" "Make Five happy. Kiss you" You mumbled and continued leaving marks on his neck and jaw. Five clenched his fists around you "Angel if you keep this us I'm not going to be able to hold back." Five groaned as he pulled you closer into his lap. And with his last bit of resolve, he blinked you guys back into the car. "Come on Angel let's go home." He kissed your cheek slightly to assure you he wasn't mad and drove the two of you back. ————————the academy———————--- "Mi hermano and Angel ! You guys are back" Klaus shouted from the couch he was currently lying on. You ran into the living room jumping in front of Klaus to show off your dress.
"My cutie Angel! You look so pretty!"
Klaus then swept you off your feet and into a fit of giggles. Five, who had been observing the scene from the bar was actively trying to fight off the green monster that was creeping up his heart. "Leave her alone Klaus we had a long day. Come on Angel let's have your shower and get ready for bed." It was obvious you needed to be cared for and Five had already begun to assume the role. Pulling out some extra pajamas Five had in his wardrobe he handed them to you before showing you the bathroom. "Shower here and come back to my room when you are done okay?" You nodded back and went into the bathroom. With a sign Five flopped on his back in bed wondering more about you. How could someone he just met cause him to feel such a way? Maybe it was his messed up time-traveling brain that was causing these emotions but deep down he knew he had a hidden attraction to you. He began to think more about your powers. You couldn't be part of the 43 because you were too young but you also showed an understanding of your abilities and more control than Viktor did when he first found out about his. Five would have to talk to you after you shower about your abilities. Small footsteps padded outside his room before stopping. The door swung open and there you stood wrapped in only a small towel Grace had given you. Five green eyes turned wide as you skipped into his room.. You had turned to grab the pajamas he had left you on the bed and dropped your towel. Five sat up instantly, his eyes wandered over the curve of your breasts and the plumpness of your backside. Being in the apocalypse and focused on getting back home to his family never allowed him much time for romance or women, besides Delores. You stood up as bare as the day you were born, nipples perked up at the cold air and you put the silk top and bottom on. Now properly clothed you turned to Five who was staring at you with eyes that rivaled a burning sun. In a blink, he was in front of you grabbing your waist with such a force it felt like you would disappear if he let go. Bringing his lips to your neck he kissed gently and dragged his face to meet your eyes. Soft despreate lips met plump shy ones as you and Five melted into each other. The kiss grew hungry, more desperate, both parties missing the feel of one another. The two of you fell back onto the bed with Five on top of you. Two souls both isolated from the world finally finding solstice in one another. All the questions Five had for you were gone from his mind, the only thing replacing it was the thought of how your body felt against his. A small hand reached into the front of Five's pants. "I want to help Five" You had whispered into his ear. It was going to be a long night.
I’d want to make this into a full series although and go really in depth about Angel who she is and how she got her powers and I defiantly want to bring back the rest of the Hargreaves but I'm not sure when Ill have another creative burst.
Imagine being Diego Hargreeves (toddler) daughter and having to go the doctor
WC: 269
"But daddd...!" You huffed with a pout and puppy dog eyes. You did not like going to the doctor. At all. You'd rather die than go there. Diego sighed heavily at you as you weakly punched his leg in protest.
"(Y/N)." He deadpanned. You stopped squirming and punching him and looked at his face. He was staring at you with that highly irritating parent look (yk the one with the eyebrow raised) (iykyk). In response, you shoved your face into his shoulder with a tiny whimper that caused Diego's face to fall in sympathy.
He knew what it was like to have to go somewhere you really didn't want to at such a young age.
He brushed the young girls (yhc) hair out of her tear-covered face, tilted her head towards him, and began to explain why she needed to go. She threw her face right back to where it originally was.
Diego knew that there was no way he could convince her to go by her own will.
Time skip to after the appointment
"C'mon it wasn't that bad, was it?" Diego said as his daughter clutched his hand tighter than ever.
"T'was" He heard her mumble as they walked back to the car. He put her back into her carseat and she turned to look out the window stubbornly. He climbed into the drivers seat and looked back at her.
"Okay if you stop being mad at me, I'll invite Uncle Klaus over for a sleepover." He saw your little face light up. You looked down, biting your lip in thought before looking back up and nodding with a bright smile.
