ik u said umetaro is crazy because of his relationship w nobimaru but like. as someone who got him i feel like getting him is less alarming than anyone else like ok he's probably got some underlying issues but he's just a guy sort of. as guy as a kitsune gets i guess!

no yeah 100% he is the most normal kitsune out of every single one in this series. his normal guy swag and general healthy fear factor is whats kept him alive and/or un imprisoned. he knows kabane can whip ass. he knows that fucking around and finding out with the mafia is generally unwise. even with a gambling addiction, he knows when to get the fuck out of dodge

aimoto said hes "more human" / grew up in a more human-dense area (?) than the others (who grew up either in neighborhoods of mostly kitsune or forest clans), so that may be a factor in it.

he just happened to bag the most insane bitch of them all, which is a bit of a head scratcher. but can you blame him, really. nobimaru may be insane and also put him in near-death situations a lot but he IS financially stable

2019:

Mihai, Inari: Cheaters

Nobimaru: Supports Cheating

Inugami: it's rather sad that people dont play with kado [specific scoring style] very often, even though it's very strong if you go through with it. play occult style and borrow old rules.

Mihai: the basic rules of the game are easy to follow, so i think such games that are by-the book are crazy and never follow them

Nobi: i like to entertain by shoving inside [opening move- similar to a child clicking random cards when playing solitare without knowing the rules. very childish, adults find it cute]. don't try to beat inari, don't lose motivation to inugami, don't fall for mihais trappings. if you use kado you will win.

Inari: cheat at mahjong. i'm strong if i do it, but i definitely have no plans on losing to inugami, so i cheat. from open reaching [?], he says he's not very certain at what he's doing, but i don't believe him

2020:

Hinata, Kaede, Akagi: Banished (Losers)

Umetaro: Winner

Hinata: i'm impatient, so i like fast hands. kaede is good in upper families [suits, basically]. he plays rough, with bad manners, but wins lots of games. he doesnt have any intentions on scoring. [i had to look up a dictionary for this -_-]

Kaede: i dont understand the rules at all, but the game is easy-looking, so i want to play. i only understand playing with seven pairs. because i handle the tiles roughly, i use the rule that there is a gun tile in the south. i dont keep score.

Akagi: i like beautiful hands. spray disinfectant every turn. i score efficiently.

Umetaro: has experience in illegal gambling, while still being more concientious than everyone else. he asks everyone to please follow rules and manners. his scoring is perfect.

hinatas being mostly abt kaede is disappointing cmon aimoto. wtf. otherwise very fun overall
