When Tsubakino thanked Sakura for taking their feelings for Umemiya seriously, i honestly had to pause for a second because "FINALLY. SOMEONE GETS IT. FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS HOW HURTFUL IT IS FOR YOUR FEELINGS TO JUST BE TAKEN AS A JOKE."

Like, Satoru Nii could have easily taken the route from hundreds of shounen manga before, that just use their LGBT+ character's romantic life as the butt of a joke, and it's UNTHINKABLE they'd ever have a romantic interest that reciprocates their feelings....

And although I don't have high expectations that Umemiya will reciprocate Tsubakino's feelings, he hasn't rejected Tsubakino despite being aware of their feelings, so I take it he's still thinking about it because he wants to give Tsubakino's feelings the consideration & respect they deserve. I'm hoping for the "let's start first by getting to know each other better :)" ending.................. I'd die.
