Cats of the Sun

The SunClans are four clans making up the whole that is SunClan, each clan fulfilling a different role in serving SunClan.

DawnClan

DawnClan are the healers. While every clan has its medicine cat, they are trained and evaluated in DawnClan, with the DawnClan medicine cats being the most respected and skilled of all medicine cats.

DawnClan does have its warriors still, though they know more basic healing than the warriors of all other clans. They live by the sea, which provides them with an abundance of food, and the cats of DawnClan are known as laid-back and trustworthy. Though, less favorable cats of other clans think of DawnClan as lazy and unwilling to do the "hard work" of clan life.

DayClan

DayClan are the peacekeepers. They are opposed to fighting, and instead do everything in their power to end conflict bloodlessly. DayClan trains and holds the best mediators, and are the most welcoming to outsiders.

DayClan, like all clans, has its warriors, some very skilled, but they prefer to keep their claws sheathed whenever they can. They live in the plains, enjoying its warmth and peace, which is fitting for how many cats would choose to describe DayClan. This does have the downside of many cats thinking of DayClan as weak, and sometimes even a danger to SunClan's way of life due to their willingness to take in outsiders.

DuskClan

DuskClan are the protectors. They defend the clans from outside threats, enforce the warrior code, and punish those who have committed crimes against the clans.

Their warriors are incredibly skilled and disciplined, believing themselves to be the strength of SunClan. Their forest home gives them a mastery of climbing and stealth, you can never truly know when a DuskClan cat is watching you. DuskClan cats are known for being fiercely loyal and always reliable, but some think they take advantage of their reputation, and their "protection" can border on the cruel.

NightClan

NightClan are the guardians of StarClan. They live amongst the spirits of their ancestors and pass on the history and stories of times long since passed.

Their warriors are wise and calm, some thinking of their roles less as warriors and more as walking stories. NightClan lives in the caves deep within the mountains, among towering crystals, said to be windows into StarClan. NightClan's camp sits just outside what SunClan calls the Path, a long path of sharp crystals leading to one perfect, tall, smooth crystal. When a new leader is made, they must "Walk the Path" walk on the shards, and lay before the crystal at the end of the path without getting cut, for if they bleed, it is a sign of StarClan's rejection. NightClan warriors are valued for their knowledge and spirituality, but many think of them as strange, and would not choose their company out of the other clans.

Aspenswipe and Coppersight had 3 kits! Shiveringkit - Gray tabby molly with pale blue eyes, noisy, moss-ball hunter Darkkit (originally named Umberkit but I changed it) - Brown ticked tom with copper eyes, bossy, picky nest builder. Palekit - Light brown molly with copper eyes and long fur, noisy, picky nest builder, quick witted.

Sloemallow brings 2 kits to camp. Riverkit - Gray tabby tom with pale blue eyes and long fur, quiet, picky nest builder. Snowkit - White molly with a black eye patch and emerald eyes, troublesome, avid play-fighter. Fun fact - They were originally named Splashkit and Aspenkit. I didn't think Sloemallow would do that to Peatwish though, so I changed the names.

Halfsnap, Hayspot, Flaxwhistle, and Trouble have recovered, but now Umberstar, Graytooth, and Dogblossom have whitecough.

Mottledleaf tells Umberstar in great detail how she would protect her from any harm.

A sick loner joins the clan. Nissan - White tom with silver stripes, copper eyes, and long fur, 59 moons, ambitious, unusually strong.

Groveglide does a funny jump when catching a lizard and laughs about it with Starlinggleam.

Hillkit, like every young kit, had dreams of becoming a warrior from a young age. however, as they grew older, they knew their destiny lay in the medicine den. They happily take up their new place as a medicine cat apprentice - looking forward to healing their Clanmates for many moons to come. They were given oak leaves as congrats, but Copperlake watches with a jealous glint in their eyes

Deaths

Popreed wandered out into the territory and was later found dead, a peaceful expression on their face

Copperlake and Chervilthroat grieve but are not stricken

Mintyrise died from a broken bone. She was sent to the Dark Forest for breaking the code too many times but is not punished to be there forever (she can fade; I only prevent fading on murderers/esp evil cats for lore). If she had been punished by Cinderstar she may have had a kinder fate

Wildmask grieves but is not stricken

Births

Russetfire and Wildmask find a litter of 5 kits and decide to adopt them

Sablekit (male), Umberkit (male), Scrubkit (male), Badgerkit (female), and Daykit (female) are born!

thrushfleck is a shadowclan warrior. she was a riverclan queen, but was brutally exiled along with her mother (mossmoon) and brother (swampslide) for their shadowclan heritage.

prior to the wars, interclan relationships were allowed. therefore, rowansnap (sc warrior) and mossmoon's relationship wasn't questioned. however, after the wars began and aspstar became riverclan's leader, she wasn't having it. she claimed that couldn't be loyal and exiled them.

thrushfleck was actually mates with aspstar's brother, pikewhisker. she begged for him to do something, but he looked away in shame. on top of that, she was heavily pregnant.

fortunately, shadowclan was happy to shelter them where the three slowly became one with shadowclan. rowansnap was more than pleased to be with his wife and children after seasons of being separated (since the war closed borders).

the change in environment caused thrushfleck to have a very stressful birth, but both of her sons survived. she named them carpkit and newtkit—later carpwhisker and newtslide. while in shadowclan, she became close with an older warrior named bearmuzzle. he acted as her litter's father. eventually, he'd go on to father her second litter—umberkit, okrakit, and scorchkit.

she is a happily married lady and loves her family. thrushfleck misses riverclan, but she loves shadowclan and accepts it as her home.
