genuinely love how Ultrakill blends catholic mythology and greek mythology. the base stock is Dante's inferno but sure the king who according to myth trapped his half-bull son in a shifting maze underneath his palace and sacrificed innocents to him is king of the lust layer. and he has the most compassion and morals out of anyone in the game. sysiphus, the guy cursed to push a boulder up a hill for eternity, started a war against heaven because he was bored of being the king of the greed layer. there's a ferryman who looks suspiciously like popular depictions of death and/or Charon in the wrath layer. said minotaur was created by hell and lives in the violence layer in a maze of hell's creation. why not.
