here we have a late submission for day 6 of zukki week 2024: heist au (click for better quality)
(edit: check out the poll please!!)
@zukki-week
more thoughts under the cut
i got back into leverage this week so of course i couldn't not draw zukki as the ot3. i think suki would work better as a grifter than a thief (maybe even a hitter) but yk. i also stayed up way too long thinking about who is the mastermind and who is the grifter/thief remaining and i got to the following conclusions:
song as the mastermind and jin as a grifter just butters up my heart like i missed these girls like crazy and i think it would fit them (also azula as jim sterling is way too funny)
but then we have azula as nate (which i think is equally funny) and ty lee as thief
also mai as nate but thats just because i ship mailee and i wanted them together
#i spent way too long on this. and im putting off homework to post this#because again: shit time management#dont look at what sokka's holding please#the nigerian job has such dark scenes i cant tell whats in them djdhjs#like dont even ask me how long i spent trying to figure out what they were wearing in this scene#anyways i think they're iconic#like the ultimate ot3s#zukki#zukki week 2024#zuko#sokka#suki#leverage au#atla#my art

Prompt: Azula joins Zuko on his Avatar hunt instead of Iroh. I don't know why, I don't know how, but I'm certain to be entertained by whatever follows.
Ozai and Ursa were already dead by the time Iroh arrived home. He stepped from his ship into the palanquin, and rode past the places of their execution, holding the urn of his sonâs ashes.Â
He had no time to entrust them to the Fire Sages before his father summoned him. He brought them along, because this was an easier thing than setting them down. And perhaps Lu Tenâs grandfather would like to see him once more, outside of the family shrine. Iroh would have given anythingâ
He placed the urn on the floor next to him. It did not kneel when he did. Fire Lord Azulon surveyed him from behind the flames.
âRise, my son. It is good to have you home.â
They did not speak of Lu Ten. His father had always been a man to look to the flames of the future, rather than the ashes of the past.
* * *
They hanged Ursa, as befitted her attempted crime, and her past station.
They burned Ozai, as befitted his. A child of Agni should always return to the flames.
The children of the traitors had been stricken from the family line. Had been placed in the capital prison; bait for the trap. Azulon was keeping close eye on those who expressed concern for the offspring of regicides. Ozai had expected support for his position; it would be Irohâs second task to sift through the court, and discard the chaff.Â
His first task was a more practical resowing. Azulon had already selected a handful of candidates: women of suitable birth and known loyalties. The wedding date had been set, pending selection of the bride.
âThank you, father,â Iroh said.Â
Lu Ten held his silence.
* * *Â
Azula had never liked the servants whoâd fussed at her hair and clothes, whoâd pulled and tugged until she was perfect, like perfect was a thing outside of her for others to bestow. She only had to look at Zuko to know how far tailored robes and well-oiled hair could take one.
She couldnât see Zuzu from her cell. Her robes were too cold against the stone and every tug to wrap them tighter just made them worse, she could see it in the guardsâ faces, the way theyâd stared when sheâd first arrived and looked a few days after and now they barely even saw. No one would talk to her, no matter her demands. They didnât even stop their own conversations anymore; just slid in her food and kept walking and batted away her fires and it was cold here.
There were things crawling in her hair that her nails couldnât dig out. Sometimes she thought she heard Zuzu yelling, but she couldnât be sure. And it would have been undignified to yell back. She was a princess. She was fifth in line for the dragon throne.Â
Fourth, now that Lu Ten was dead.
Third, because father was, too.Â
Heâd yelled and then heâd screamed and it hadnât done anything but make the crowd jeer. Fire Lord Azulon had been silent. Poised. In control. She was his namesake and she would be too.Â
She was nine.
* * *
Zuko yelled until his throat burned. The guards didnât care, they didnât listen to him, which was nothing new. He shouted and shouted and his own ears hurt. Maybe thatâs why he never heard Azula calling back.
Grandfather had made them watch when heâd killed father and, andâ
If grandfather had Azula killed, he would have made Zuko watch that, too. Azula was probably just better at being a prisoner than he was. Maybe the guards even talked to her.
He was eleven.
* * *
Irohâs new wife was a third his age. A flower just coming to bloom. She looked like his first wife; Azulon knew his preferences. She was young enough to be Lu Tenâs sister. She smiled and laughed each day with the other court wives, and came to his room with lists of possible dissenters to discuss in their marital bed. It was not the pillow talk he was used to, but it was charming, in its way. She liked to lay on her stomach and kick her feet above her as they traced the web of treachery with his dead brother at its center. She was here to have his childrenâa task at which she worked with admirable diligenceâand to be the acting Fire Lady. She had not had to struggle and flaunt herself for his affections; she had been picked from a line-up, her expectations realistic, her motives aligned with his. It was the least romantic relationship Iroh had ever been part of. It was⌠refreshing.
On the day the palace doctor confirmed their newly budded line of succession, the Fire Lord called them both in for congratulations. And for pruning.
* * *
Zuko had turned twelve, but had not realized it. Azula had turned ten. Sheâd counted the days.
Iroh had not been able to visit them in prison; only to inquire as to their treatment. Individual cells, regular meals of reasonable quality, no abuses. Heâd moved his own people into position to ensure the last.Â
Azulon had moved them back, after a delay for his soft-hearted sonâs conscience. They could not waste loyal men on cuckoo-vipers. And Iroh could not waste his fatherâs good will. Not when it would be needed in the future, for the most important request.
* * *Â
âAnd your wife agrees to this?â asked the Fire Lord, behind his flames.Â
Irohâs wife had not been directly addressed, and so did not reply. She sat in polite and perfect seiza, her head raised, as befitted the woman currently running her half of the court. Azulon had never seen fit to replace his own wife, after all.
âShe does,â Iroh spoke for her. âWe have spoken on the issue at length, and believe it best. Our family is small, and cannot afford to be smaller. The children are young; too young to have been in their parentsâ confidences. With proper guidanceââ
âAnd how would they place in the line of succession?â Azulon asked. âHow would they chafe, how would they plot, with a decadeâs experience over your eldest?â
Lu Tenâs own connections at court had been built while his cousins were still in diapers. But he was no longer Irohâs eldest.
âWe believeââ
âNo,â his father interrupted again. âI will not allow their adoption. Not by you, where they could smother your own babe in the cradle, and certainly not by someone I trust less.â
Which was everyone, since the night his daughter-in-law had served him tea sent by his son.
âFather,â Iroh began, and his wife shifted her elbow just so, the only indication that she wished to dig it into his ribcage. âThey are young, and innocent. They are my beloved nephew and niece. Your grandchildren. We cannot in good conscienceââ
âGood conscienceâ had never factored into his fatherâs policies. Iroh had⌠begun to realize that, of late. His wife let out a small sigh, deliberately audible only to the man next to her. She had cautioned very strongly against aâhow had she put it?âa feelings-based approach to this situation. Feelings rarely factored into her own decisions. She had been hand-selected by his father, after all.Â
His wife went into a half-bow, her head lowered. âMay I speak, my lord?âÂ
The flames crackled. The shadow of his father inclined its head, just slightly.Â
âTo kill the children is wise, and I admit, would set my mind at ease for my own childâs sake. But my husband feels strongly on this matter, and so I support him, for his happiness is my own. May I suggest a compromise? To place them outside the court, where they cannot build influence, nor harm your sonâs heirs. A position from which you can judge their characters and value to the nation as they grow.â
âYou suggest banishment,â the Fire Lord said.
âNot unstructured, of course. To leave them roaming freely would invite those that would take them in. Perhaps a military commission? As they are commoners, they should begin from a rank befitting their station, of course. Let them prove their worth on their own merit.â
Iroh could not see through the flames, but he knew his wifeâs small smile was reflected on his fatherâs face.Â
âA naval position,â the Fire Lord said. âOn a ship that does not frequently make port. The frontlines would be the best place for them to prove themselves, wouldnât you agree?â
Iroh closed his eyes.
âFather,â he said. âPlease,â and he could feel his wife willing him to stop talking. The Fire Lord had already agreed to spare their lives. A banishment could be undone, so long as he and the children both outlived the man before them. âI⌠thank you for your wisdom in this ruling. But perhaps, if they complete some feat worthy of our line, they could be allowed to return?â
The flames were hot against his face. His new wife was still and silent against his side. His father⌠his father laughed, a low exhalation, the wheeze of a humorless old man.
âLet them bring me the Avatar,â Fire Lord Azulon said, âand I will welcome them home with honor.â
* * *
Zuko didnât know why theyâd pulled him from his cell or scrubbed him down or taken his old clothes. Theyâd been dirty but they could have been cleaned. His new clothes were scratchy, and too big, and they looked like a common soldierâs, and⌠andâ
And theyâd shaved his hair.Â
* * *Â
It had gotten rid of the bugs, Azula admitted, in the privacy of her own mind. Still. She memorized the faces of the woman whoâd held her down and the man whoâd shorn her. For future reference.
They hadnât bothered sizing her new outfit for a child. Azula noted the quartermasterâs face, as well.
* * *
They were put on a ship. It was the first time theyâd seen each other in nearly a year.
Zuzu looked at her head, and wisely said nothing.
She raised an eyebrow at his, and graciously granted him the same.
It was hard to tell them apart. They had their motherâs face. And their fatherâs.
* * *
Their captainâs name was Zhao. He invited them to dinner in his private quarters, once the Fire Nation was behind them. Zuko fidgeted. Azula didnât.
The captain spoke on how much potential he saw in them, under a commander who saw their true value.Â
Together, they could go far. Very far, indeed.
Azula smiled and said all the things she thought father would have said. Zuko scowled.Â
Zhao brushed over their arms with his own while reaching for things. He served them more when they said they were already full. He squeezed their shoulders when he brought them back to their rooms, which were next to his, even though the rest of the lower crewmen slept together in the same big cabin. Zuko scowled harder.Â
Azula was invited back. Zuko wasnât.
* * *
Zhao was⌠Zhao wasnât a good person.
âI know that, dum-dum. But do you want to stay banished forever?âÂ
âUncle saidââ
âUncleâs going to change his mind, when he has his own heir and a spare. Weâre threats, Zuzu. And Zhao knows fatherâs old friends. Heâs one of the smart ones.â
The dumb ones had already been executed.Â
âI⌠I think he wants toâto tie himself to the royal line.â
âEww,â she said. âIâm ten. If he wants to get engaged, Iâll just break it when weâve got the throne. It will be too late for him to retract his support, then.â
Theyâd barely left port before Zhao had made his first move. He didnât seem like a man who waited.Â
Azula was ten, but Zuko was twelve. Being twelve was almost thirteen, which was almost a teenager, which was almost an adult, and adults understood things that ten year olds didnât.
They had to get off this ship. They had to go home.
Zuko had to find the Avatar.

im THINKING about this again. so here we go:
as stated in my tags: zuko is henry and sokka is alex.
we open with lu ten is getting married, and this is when sokka drops the cake on him and zuko. the big difference here is that lu ten is not a dick to zuko, hes actually looking out for him. the family dynamic is much more similar to what we see in atla than in rwrb, but some key differences
biggest difference is that azula is post redemption here. in atla canon she was only 14, and in this au she was still kinda a bitch at 14, but shes grown since then. she went off the rails after ursa and ozai got divorced, starting with following ozaiâs rules ruthlessly, then cracking and sneaking out (#powderprincess) and then getting radicalized the other way by her new friends (let just call them âthe freedom fightersâ), and eventually coming back when zuko says he needs his sister. yes, he has his uncle and cousin and his mom is still alive (alas still in âafricaâ) but some things you just need a sibling for. and as much as azula hates to admit it, for every ounce that zuko needs her, she needs him too. so yeah, azula is bea, and she is her big brothers attack dog through and though. its been a rocky road but she loves her brother so so much and she is very defensive of him against sokka at first.
speaking of sokka!!! his white house trio: he and katara are the first children of Prez Hakota (yes, kya is still dead. sorry but i have to fridge her đ), and yue is the granddaughter of the VP. sokka and yue dated a few years ago, but eventually called it. however!! sokka respects her too much to use her to play with the media so instead we have *drum roll* suki!!
suki is sokkaâs one (1) friend from collegeâboth were political affairs majors but sokka is trying to go to law school and suki wanted to be a journalist and freelance photographer. obviously this complicates things, but suki is ever so respectful and acts as an Inside Source, as well as being a mentor to katara, who also wants to be a journalist.
in this au zuko doesnt just want to be a writer, he wants to be a playwright/screenwriter. hes truly insufferable the way he can quote shakespeare sonnets from memory, and has way too many opinions about 20th century rom coms, but luckily it also means that he recites poetry to sokka in a cheesy romantic way.
also! two of zukoâs closest friends are aang and toph. he met toph in a boarding school they both went to (tophs parents let her study abroad growing up bc she was a wild child who wanted freedom and it was the only way to appease her). aang is the son of a diplomat that zuko met on the equivalent of henryâs gap year in mongolia.
i have more Thinkin Thoughts but thats for another day
zukka rwrb au. think about it.
#rwrb#zukka#atla#anyway!!#thinkin of callin this au#royal red and brilliant blue#still no idea how the countries work exactly and how much culture is atla-verse and regular modern day#but yeah. :) them <3#also!!! please know azula is my ULTIMATE blorbo in this au#i love her so so so much

Azula centric ATLA au where everything is the same as canon except around when Azula's 10, Ozai starts to get...nervous.
because a powerhungry domineering heir is all good and well, but also HE was a powerhungry domineering heir. and he 1) eventually super got his dad murdered & 2) would've done it himself way sooner if he was strong enough. and while azula is nowhere near as strong as him *now*, she's a lot stronger than he was at her age and presumably only going to get stronger. keeping her in assassinating distance suddenly seems like a very bad idea.
so he decides he just needs to send her away for a very long time with a somewhat failing mission. keep her out of his way, out of his palace, with a little bit of a smudge on her record so people won't be aligning with her to overthrow him or anything. she's still the preferred heir he just doesn't TRUST her is all!
so he sends her on a mission to...capture the avatar. and she can't come back until she does.
10 year old azula is a lot more politically-minded than zuko was at 14, so she knows this is a wild goose chase he doesn't intend for her to actually succeed at and she is VERY VERY MAD ABOUT IT. she worked so hard to be such a good domineering powerhungry heir for him and hes going to send her away and keep weakling loser zuko around??? unacceptable!!
also iroh definitely stays in the palace to keep zuko safe from plotting and poison so she's just like. alone. her and a crew of sailors who all kind of look down on her, as scary as she is, bc she's 10 and not 14 and on the outs, not the heir (as far as anyone knows).
anyways theres a lot of ways this au could go but ultimately i think the most fun is that she doesn't become like, Good or Anti-War but she also isn't devoted to the fire nation anymore. Instead shes just like "i WILL kill the firelord. don't care what happens after that or around it"
like she joins the gaang and teaches aang firebending, but NOT because she agrees with them. or disagrees with them. shes just like what happens to the world is none of my business what happens to firelord ozai absolutely is
azula: my father thought i wanted to kill him when i was ten years old. i would HATE to disappoint him

RWBY Fanfic Recommendation List
Fics that have really struck me, vaguely organized by ship and/or topic.
Bumbleby (Blake x Yang)
first off, basically anything by pugoata. She's the goddess-empress of the Bees. I'm gonna give particular props to Banshee, as it was the first longer fic and AU that I read, and it really opened up my mind to what fanfic could be.
You're a Mountain, Full of Glory - a ski/snowboard with amazing characterization and a closing scene that will live rent-free in my head forever, in a good way.
They Can't Steal the Love You're Born to Find - childhood soulmates repeatedly torn apart and reconnecting, with courtroom drama. One of the most angst-ridden Bee fics I've ever read.
Fucking In Love - pornstar AU that gets right to the sex and slow burns the romance. Hot as hell while also full of tenderness and pining.
Midnight Menagerie - exotic dancer, kinda-cyberpunk dystopia AU. Edges you forever with the sex, earns all the angst tags, and we are majorly trusting @kaelidascope when she promises an amazing happy ending.
Bite Me Like You Love Me - one of the hottest Bee smutfics I've ever read.
You and Me - Blake discovers she's pregnant the day Yang goes MIA on a mission and struggles through being a single mother teaching their child about her amazing other mom. Short, happy ending, amazingly sweet.
You and Me, and One Hot Summer - tropical beach Bees. It's fun, and hella spicy!
WhiteRose (Ruby x Weiss)
The Foxtrot - Ruby and Weiss repair their broken lives after the war. It's one of the most popular RWBY fics of all time for a reason.
Can You See My Strings?/Deja Vu - premium mentally ill Weiss escapes from child abuse angst, with a happy ending if you read the sequel.
But Your Voice Used to Be Mine - Weiss escapes abuse to join RBY's punk band whose smash hit she inspired.
Just One Cigarette - Ruby and Weiss have a little meetup roleplay and it's really good.
Faunus Weiss (generally major themes of struggling with internal and external racism)
Craving the Sky - Weiss has painfully concealed her faunus heritage while she tries to earn her father's love. The support of her team, and the love of Blake and Yang (BeesSchnees) help her soar on her own.
Black Swan Theory - faunus Weiss struggles to recover from child abuse and navigate a deeply racist society while building a relationship with Pyrrha (Schneekos).
Clipped Wings - secret faunus Weiss, dealing with racism and abuse from Jacques, this time slow burning towards Pollination.
Villainesses
Melting Glace - Cinder and Neo find love, and no redemption, in the trauma of failing to destroy Beacon. Will make you cheer for them to win by the end.
Rise from the Ashes - Cinder has a Vader moment and saves Ruby from Salem, and Ruby's pure heart helps her heal, and their adversarial relationship turn to affection. Peak RWBY enemies-to-lovers.
Odds & Ends
The Bermuda Triangle - great modern AU BeesSchnees that gets filthy hot at the end.
Midnight Rose - Summer rescues and adopts Cinder out of Atlas. Their relationship, and Cinder coming to love the Xiao Long-Rose family, is beautifully depicted. Still very much ongoing (no ships as of yet).
Fallen Maiden - Jaune dies protecting Pyrrha at Beacon, and the Fall Maiden power remains split. Will Pyrrha's bloody crusade of vengeance consume her? Or, 'Pyrrha goes full Magneto and fucks Cinder up'.
What's In A Name? - Winter and May grow up together, struggling to cope with their feelings for each other against the background of the Atlas aristocracy.
Red Sky at Night - This excellently-composed fic has a hacked Penny as the primary antagonist of the Beacon arc and builds it to Nuts & Dolts. It captures both Penny's horror at being controlled in her own body and RWBY's fear in fighting a seemingly unstoppable enemy, almost like Terminator vibes, and ultimately takes it to a very sweet relationship.
Linked In Life and Love - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this one. I really, really love the first act, where Team RWBY sees Blake suffering terribly through a surprise heat cycle and decides that they will all "help" her with it. It's sweet and tender and feels legit for them. I'm not a huge fan of where all the series has gone since, but I would invite anyone to judge that for themselves.
Sparks in the Dark - an Emerald/Penny/Ruby trio that's really masterfully done, exploring all three characters in very novel ways, and also doing great things with Salem and Cinder.
War Machines - a Penny/Ruby role-swap that follows Penny's adventures on team BXPS with Blake, Yang, and Weiss. It's very thoughtful and a good read as science fiction for its exploration of Penny's artificial personhood.
(As I see this getting a decent amount of traffic, I'll just point out that, if it's convinced you [correctly] of my impeccable taste in fanfic, you might want to check out my own RWBY writings)

[Updated 11/06/24]
I've written a kinda ridiculous amount of content for this fandom at this point, so this post is intended as a fun way to organize all that content on this blog. I'll update this post periodically as I share more works.
Most of my works are gen fic- with a heavy focus on character study and "bridging the gaps" of canon with lil bonus scenes of what I feel certain characters might've been up to in between episodes. However, I do on occasion enjoy exploring the Connverse relationship dynamic... and actual ratings for my stories vary.
Ratings and pairings will be listed on this masterpost, as well as any particularly vital content warnings. For more thorough content warnings, please reference the tags on the linked AO3 listings.

Or will his growing obsession with seeking this truth ultimately crack his world all over again? Canon divergent as of season 3 episode 20, Bismuth.
Stories:
Crack the Paragon- 70,705 words, 14/41 chapters. Rated T. Light Steven/Connie.
In another world, he doesn't have his mother's sword or shield to hide behind when Bismuth lands her strike. The bubble pops. Steven falls apart.
Content warning: Major character injury.
Everything Is Different Now- 1,014 words. Rated G.
After her unfortunate exile, Bismuth returns to her forge to work, and to reflect on her mistakes.
Seeing Pink- 2,475 words. Rated G.

Content warning: Minor body horror.
Hollowed Moon- 8,046 words, 14/? chapters. Rated T.

On that lonely hunk of rock is a domed garden. And standing in that garden, just as lifeless seeming as the rest of it, is a pink Gem.
~~~
Other AU/Non-Canon Works:
For the purpose of organization, this section contains two fics that have since had elements of it debunked by Steven Universe: Future. However, said fics were written to be "canon compliant" at the time of posting... thus, on AO3, they still are listed within my "canon compliant" series.
Shattering Atlas- 4,274 words. Rated T.
A boy can only carry an entire galaxy upon his back for so long before the weight of it all finally becomes too much. (Written about the Corrupted Steven Theory, long before SUF's airing.)
Content warning: Depression, body horror.
The Price of Freedom- 791 words. Rated T.
Even while sightless, even when she only exists as thin fingers of light rapidly spreading outwards from her gem, Rose can sense that something is deeply, dreadfully wrong. Written for Whumptober 2020, Day 1: Waking up restrained.
Bi the Way...- 2,886 words. Rated T. Steven/Connie.
Connie has a question, and also something to say.
(Originally written to be canon compliant after the movie, debunked by Steven and Connie not officially getting together until the end of Steven Universe: Future.)
Errands- 3,034 words. Rated T.
Steven has an endless stream of items on his to-do list, so many that he often forgets to properly take care of himself in between. Sneaking off into the woods on the daily to vent out his repressed emotions is merely one of them.
(Originally written to fit between Snow Day and Little Graduation, but the back half of Steven Universe: Future strongly suggested that Steven did not visit Jasper in between the events of Little Homeschool and Fragments, thus I consider it debunked.)
~~~
Canon Compliant Works:
This part of the list contains almost everything within my "Brandishing the Star: A Crystal Gem's Guide to the Universe" fic series on AO3. Fics are listed chronologically.
Tipping Point- 1,104 words. Rated G.
Garnet helps remind Rose of what she's fighting for.
New Star- 1,321 words. Rated G.
Organic life is a fragile, fickle thing. This much is true. What's also true is how the death and resurrection of a humble lion was enough to make Rose Quartz re-conceptualize everything.
On the Origin of Hybrids- 1,684 words. Rated G.
The questionâ incomplete, and yet bursting with long-held curiosityâ emerges from thin air while heâs about to tuck Steven into bed in the back of the van one night. In retrospect, no parenting book couldâve ever prepared him for this one.
His Shield- 334 words. Rated G.
Greg attempts to comfort his son during a thunderstorm.
Donut Debrief- 1,578 words. Rated G.
And like a burst of sunshine emerging from between the murky grey clouds, the young boy swings the door open wide, face alight with a level of enthusiasm that before, she didnât even think was humanly possible on an overcast Monday morning. Two days after their disastrous island adventure, Sadie and Steven talk about regrets, making amends, and discover something they have in common with each other.
Autumn Bliss- 546 words. Rated G. Light Steven/Connie.
Is there any better way to spend a crisp autumn day than playing around in piles of leaves? Written for Connvember, day 1.
Alienation- 1,151 words. Rated G.
âBut... Iâm human,â he whispers to himself, the words tasting more like a desperate plea for belief on his tongue. âOr at least, part human. Right?â - An awkward interaction with his dad and Connie leads Steven to realize that he's now too Gem to all the humans in his life.
Ramen Soup For the Soul- 263 words. Rated G.
Steven and Connie noisily slurp some soup at the dinner table.
Creative Outlet- 837 words. Rated G.
âLog date, 7 14 9. âToday, the hybrid creature Steven attempted to further secure my loyalty by introducing me to a concept he calls... âmusic.â
Taste of Ordinary- 12,756 words. 2/3 chapters. Rated G. Light Steven/Connie.
"Connie, can we talk?" When a much needed moonlight conversation with his best friend turns into an attempted (and failed) "spring break" from all his responsibilities as a half-Gem, Steven must finally come to terms with the full truth of his heritage and all six thousand years of its consequences. OC Works:
This subsection is the home for any fics I post in my post-canon OC-centric series, "Echoes of Chalcedony." It follows the story of a young half-Gem named Jean Maverick and their journey towards learning about the Gem side of their heritage.
First Impressions- 11,026 words. 3/4 chapters. Rated T.
A young human-Gem hybrid- a soul yet unknown to the rest of the Crystal Gems- takes their first brave steps towards greeting their heritage firsthand.

NSFW Works:
Fics in this section will be posted on my NSFW AO3 alt, Astraliies. I personally consider some of them "canon" to my own extended fic universe, but they will not be sorted as official entries in my "Brandishing the Star" series due to rating.

knowing, loving, being- 21,450 words. 3/4 chapters. Rated E. Stevencest, Steven/Connie.
A uniquely charged encounter in Roseâs Room forces Steven to contend with matters of attraction and desire he never could have predicted for himself. To what extreme is he willing to journey in fulfilling these burgeoning fantasies? And in what ways will such an experience forever transform him? (One thingâs for sure, though⌠once Connieâs brought into the loop, the most intimate dynamics of their marriage will never be the same.)
Content warning: Selfcest, explicit sexual content
Love Handles- 7,178 words. Rated E. Steven/Connie.
In which a stray, innocuous comment from Connie pushes Steven to dedicate the bulk of his free time to âgetting into shape.â But when new stressors rise to challenge him, he begins to struggle to maintain this leaner, more muscular form for her. Not only that, but is this even the kind of body he desires for himself in the first place?
Content warning: Explicit sexual content, feeding kink

Hi,
any chance you could tell me more about the 2nd years in the atla!au ?
I also just want to say that i just love this au
i have consulted th lore master say thank u @philosophiums <3
2nd years lore coming right up!!
Maki is a nonbender who has decided to study bending arts in order to be able to fight against them. Her ultimate goal is to take out the Zen'in Clan, or at the very least their current leaders.
Yuuta, while only being an airbender - though a very talented one - and not a member of the Gojo Clan, is considered by many to be Gojo's natural successor (what Gojo's role is, exactly, is a spoiler <3).
Inumaki is working diligently to complete all 36 tiers of airbending so that he can become a master and get his arrow tattoos. His mouth tattoos are a visual representation of a vow he has taken, the details of which are spoilers <3
Panda is a very very young spirit who accidentally stumbled out of the Spirit World as a cub and was taken in by a certain spiritual leader at the Northern Air Temple. He has always been a protector spirit⢠and is still trying to find a place to call his own and protect (like Hei Bai has his forest).
Also Yuuta and Inumaki have been dating for abouuuuut 5 months when the main trio eventually meets them in the fic!!
Also my own design notes gHGFHJS panda is more or less hei bai meets gorilla mode and i don't have much to say about maki except Call Me but inumaki n yuuta's designs have at least a few things i can talk abt !!
while inumaki is in robes tht have more of a traditional style, i figured tht Yuuta being the more advanced airbender means he knows how to work the more modern flight suits that u see in lok so I have him wearing a variation of one of those underneath his robes
I also tried to make inumaki's clothes Baggier n Longer to *kind of* lean monk while still being fairly well-suited to combat ! echoing his technique in jjk I don't think he's much of a close-range fighter + air isnt a particularly close-range element so he probably doesn't need his clothes to be terribly form-fitting out of concern of a physical Brawl
when he's not using it, Yuuta keeps his glider in a wrap similar to his sword in the show. is there a reason.... :)
#gender-cloud#jjk atla!au#atla!au: lore#lmhs#also . disregarding atla canon so yuuta can keep his hair SUE ME IM NOT SHAVING THEIR HEADS#also also whenever inumaki does get his arrows he'll probably wear his hair like in jjk0 HGGFHDS

ATLA Ă Kill Bill
Chapter 2: Massacre in Hira'a
Ursa was celebrating her wedding in Hira'a, when an assassination squad - the Deadly Viper-Bats - disrupts the ceremony, massacring everyone in attendance. The Deadly Viper-Bats gaze upon the severely wounded bride, just before Ozai himself approaches.
_
Starring (left to right):
June as Elle Driver
Kya as Vernita Green
Zhao as Budd
Michi as O-Ren Ishii
[Previous]
I had the reference image from the movie in my folder for over two years, I only drew it now though, since at that time my obsession with BNHA took hold
_
...I bet y'all thought I wouldn't continue this AU after over two years. Well... neither did I đ
I originally didn't know who to put as the role of Ozai's new lover, but I ultimately deemed June as more fitting than any of the other (named) women in the series in Ozai's age group
I was actually tempted to put Zhao in the role of Elle, but since Bill's brother in the movies was already considered "the only man [Bill] has ever loved", I couldn't resist. Yes, Iroh also exists in this AU, and, no, Zhao isn't even Ozai's real brother. This is very intentional.
Drawing that perspective was so perilous, it nearly killed me

I wish that Rhys and Fiona had actually been teleported somewhere else for another adventure after Tales. I don't like that the treasure of the vault was a wish that ultimately meant nothing anyway.
Rhys had already been starting to build up Atlas so why did he suddenly need more paperwork, Fiona just gave her wish away to Sasha who wished for a vaultlander that ends up getting destroyed not long after. Why would they even have to vanish for a few minutes to get a wish?
AU where Rhys and Fiona both actually get sent somewhere unknown when they open the treasure chest, and find something strange on the other side and they only discover it's purpose as the story progresses. Or where they gain something like an ability based on the kind of person they are.
AU where we actually get to see more of how they've developed, see them meet new characters as they try to figure out a way to get back home and understand why they were sent to this new place. Where they use the skills they learnt before and advance them as they travel.
AU where Gearbox actually progresses stories instead of ignoring the existence of plot points for years, butchering characters personalities, and actually shows characters grow and develop in a way that feels natural.
#borderlands#fiona the con artist#tftbl#rhys strongfork#tales from the borderlands#fiona tftbl#Gearbox#AU#borderlands AU#Fans waited for years to find out where they went#only for gearbox to be like âsurprise they didnt go anywhere!â

AU ask! Tell me about the kids relationship with their big sis, Jinx.
Before the twins were born but Sevika was visibly pregnant (with what they thought was just one big ass baby) Jinx had a lot of internal build up of negative feelings and negative thoughts that equate to, theyâve had their time with me, now theyâre having âreal childrenâ which ultimately led to an emotional meltdown and a screaming match between panicking Jinx and hormonal Sevika.
eventually, when the climate has cooled down and they are once again able to talk to one another, they are able to dispel the thoughts that Jinx had regarding her position in the family now that there was going to be a tiny human.
at this point Jinx starts to cautiously look forward to the arrival of what she thinks is one sibling then BOOM she gets two. (Initially she kind of freaks out but warms to the idea with some coaxing)
no one knew that there were going to be twins so it was a surprise for everybody. Silco showed Jinx her new brother and then learned that there was another one to which Jinx yelled, âholy shit does she have a whole clown car in there?â Sevika was not amused.
after the twins are born Jinx is still a little unsure about them. Theyâre loud and are these weirdly helpless little blobs that have uncanny (but also totally expected) similarity to the two people who have raised her.
a couple months down the line sheâs finally interacting with the twins, she makes two discoveries. Gaia is a very cuddly baby who will grab a hold of someone and Not Let Go which is fine just donât let him get your hair and Atlas has the most adorable grumpy baby face and these discoveries make her want to learn more about them.
then Sevika has Sif, cognito baby number three and is what Jinx calls a delayed triplet (because she is 11 months younger than the twins).
Jinx is now more excited for Sif now that she has interacted with her twins and decided it was a good experience. What kind of trips her up is that there is an uncanny parallel with her position in the family now being what Vi used to be. She is now the big sister to two younger brothers and littlest sister. She gets a bit emotional about that but resolves to be âbetter than Viâ (bc at this point Vi and Jinx have pretty much burned their bridge and it will take a long time to rekindle any kind of sisterly bond because of this interaction.)
she does her best to be a good big sister. She teaches her siblings how to defend themselves (so does the rest of the family so they are basically trained assassins by the age of like nine and ten)
Sif ends up taking after Jinx and making weapons. (jinx is very very pleased with that, and there is an added bonus of Sif being naturally gifted in magic)

ATLA Au where Sokka befriends a rogue Knowledge Seeker â¨
(More info under the cut)
Side A: Sokka Adopts A Stray Fox Spirit
- After a toddler Sokka gets lost in a blizzard, a Knowledge Seeker that is taking back a scroll wanders upon him. Knowledge Seekers in this world not only retrieve information for the library, but also protect it - sometimes with their life. - This particular Knowledge Seeker feels the need to protect Sokka (who, unbeknownst to them both, is going to be a genius who tilts the world of knowledge on its head), and disregards its former duty in order to make sure the tiny human makes it. - If Sokka dies, then so much knowledge will be lost to the world. The spirit canât have that. It curls up around Sokka, giving the child warmth and saving his life. - It decides to stick around when it realizes this particular human is rather curious and thus drawn to danger, aiding this one in its destiny. And while spirits donât need to eat (And can eat just about anything), itâs also a bonus that human treats are really good!! Side B: Sokka Becomes A Knowledge Seeker (or New Spirit Entirely...?)
- Everything is the same as above, except for the fact that young Sokka succumbs to the coldness despite the spirits best efforts... - The Knowledge Seeker, keen in fulfilling its duties, essentially thinks, âWell shit. Can't let this potential go to waste. I'll sacrifice myself in order to heal the world, aid destiny, and ultimately expand knowledge for the world. This human's worth it." - Doggo combines its essence with Sokkaâs soul, and gives the child a second chance at life. - Sokka in return gets canine teeth, a bigger propensity for meat, can go Borf, probably has auburn hair (still not set on the design), and has most of the abilities of the Knowledge Seeker. - No ears or tail on a literal level (Maybe...), but these abilities include: enhanced hearing, the ability to innately and uncannily Know Things by accessing his past spirit life memories and having a connection to the library, a 6th sense for danger and spiritual activity, climbing up walls like Spider-Man, and eventually being able to walk back and forth between worlds! As well as typical dog traits, like growling, claws, teef, and a propensity for meat!
#ATLA#avatar: the last airbender#sokka#Yue#zuko#I wasnt able to imply Zukka but Zukka is intended to be here#Also implied Yuekka romance or bromance#ATLA Au#Knowledge Seeker Sokka#Fox Spirit Sokka#Yue and Sokka in Side B doing the spiderman meme like SAME HAT?? SAME HAT??#Hi Im sick and got in trouble for not going into work so I made these instead#Eventually I like to think that Sokka seperates his spirit side from the library and becomes his own spirit after death#More kitsune-like since Kitsunes are about wisdom and peace#But also Native American fox lore is so interesting and fits Sokka SO MUCH#I dont think Ill be drawing any more of this AU for a long while or ever write a fic for it#Unfortunately :c#My Art

I haven't got the spoons for writing anything long, so I'm just throwing my ideas out here in little snippets. This little snippet turned out a bit long, but...
This is super dark. I've tagged all of the dark stuff, and if I've missed a tw, please tell me. I don't think I did. There are no graphic descriptions.
ATLA AU: Aang defeats Ozai. Aang loses everyone.
Aang has just defeated Ozai. He looks out to the horizon, and sees a number of airships crashing down. He mourns the possible loss of life (even though he can see many crews huddling on the tops of the airships, surely there were some who didn't make it) but ultimately, he's at peace with it.
He sees one particular airship go down rough. Well, he thinks. Time to go rescue people.
He secures Ozai to the rock and even though the man is a monster, he promises to come back and that the former Fire Lord will be treated humanely.
There are bodies in the wreck, and he offers some words to Agni on their behalf, because that's who he is, and he remembers that Fire folk need to be guided on their way to the Sun. He remembers the words from a hundred years ago like yesterday, because for him, it was. Well, yesterday and a year.
But when he finds three bodies, huddled close together with a burst steam pipe near them and the room slowly filling with water, Aang finds that he doesn't have any words at all.
He takes them from the wreck and lays them out on the beach. Sokka must have been holding Suki and Toph close, and from the shape of the bent metal sheets in the room, he could guess that Toph might have tried to cushion their fall with Metalbending. But he'll never know for sure.
If they'd only had a Waterbender. The boiling steam could have turned to a cool mist.
Waterbending takes his thoughts to Katara. She or Zuko weren't anywhere to be found. Were they gone, too? If they weren't, how was he going to tell Katara that her brother was dead? And Toph. And Suki.
He sits by the bodies on the beach for a long time. Eventually, some of the surviving soldiers approach him.
He gives them a short speech. He brings Ozai out to them. Ozai is still feeble, and babbling commands to kill the Avatar, but as Aang had hoped, he can't inspire fear or respect without his bending. His soldiers refuse to attack Aang.
A few of the airships can still fly. He orders a crew to fly him to the Fire Nation. He has some kind of inkling that that's where Zuko and Katara might be - he tried meditating to see if he could connect with Katara the same way he did when she was captured in Ba Sing Se, but the grief is still too near. And in any case, ending the war is most important, and to do that, he has to go to the Fire Nation.
Ozai stays on the bridge with him. He thinks its good for the crew to see him, to lose their fear of the man. A voice inside him whispers that it's good for them to see that Aang could do it to them, too.
He quashes it. It's the grief and anger talking. He tries to meditate, to center himself, to let himself feel all of his grief so that he can begin the long journey to overcome it. But the meditation doesn't help, and he can't even cry.
They reach the Caldera.
He finds the Fire Lord sitting on her throne, alternating between laughter and tears and screaming and whispering. Crying for her mother, screaming for Zuko, laughing to her father that she did it, didn't I do good?
The duel is short. The Avatar State allows him to overpower Azula with ease. Her energy is bitter and twisted and wrong, but he untangles the knots and removes her bending. Curiously, Azula doesn't even fight it very much.
The screams and laughter and sounds don't stop. But some sages and ministers and a few guards come in, and he centers himself, meaning to explain to them that the war is over, when one of the sages asks him if he knows any Waterbender healing.
He's happy for a chance to help someone. He tells them that he isn't as good as Katara, but he knows the basics.
Prince Zuko has been asking for Katara, they say. (None of them knew the name of the Waterbender who came with Zuko to challenge his sister.)
Aang's hands are very cold. He tells them to take him to Zuko, immediately, and to bring pure water.
Zuko is lying on a bed. His chest is as crimson as the covers. His breathing is shallow. He keeps rasping out Katara's name until he sees Aang. Then he tries to say something else.
Aang tells him not to speak, and gets to work on his chest, but he doesn't have Katara's skill (why didn't he train more, he asked himself, and even when a fair little voice tries to tell him that he had his hands full with learning three styles of bending simultaneously as well as everything else that had happened) and the wound is severe.
Prince Zuko dies in the early hours of the morning, and Aang stands there with his hands dripping. Blood and water.
He still can't cry.
Then one of the Fire Sages in the room asks him if he knew the Waterbender who came with the Prince.
He asks them where Katara is. They show him.
His fingers are numb, but he cleans the blue necklace as best he can, even though the ribbon is almost burned to nothing.
The wind is picking up.
He asks them what happened. A sage timidly and hurriedly starts explaining. The two rode in on a sky bison, there was a duel, Zuko dove in front of Katara, and...
Wait, he says. Where is Appa? Where is the sky bison?
The beast was slain by Azula, the sage says, and continues his explanation like that was a footnote, until suddenly he can't breathe and the wind is turning into a storm.
As the sage chokes, Aang tells the others to take him to Appa, now. He needs to see.
They had dragged Appa into a stable. There's black on the white of his fur.
He stares until he can't look at Appa anymore, and then he turns around and looks at the quivering sages and ministers instead.
It was once the Fire Sages' duty to serve the Avatar, he says. You will serve me again. And together, we will remake the world.
All of them bow.
They ask him for his commands.
The reply is spoken by a thousand voices:
"Bring me Azula."
In Ba Sing Se, Iroh looks out to the city. Children are playing in the streets. Vendors are serving food at no cost (he might have indulged in a dish or two). Ba Sing Se is free, and he is happy.
And he still can't shake the feeling that something is horribly wrong.
