i fucking hate looking at reviews on ulta. there are like 40 good reviews that are like “this shampoo brought my childhood dog back from the dead, paid off my boyfriend’s credit card debt that he ran up on my cards on a bender in memphis, mowed my lawn, and produced two more seasons of my favorite show! i already ordered two back ups!” and there’s 4 bad reviews that are like “this shampoo made hair fall out and now i’ve gotta go into hiding bc i’m just so ugly and i hate god” like WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE??

Skincare catch-up
Below are all the products I’ve used or currently use in my skincare routine. Some do their job but are nothing fancy, some are bad purchases, and some I’ll actually repurchase.
My skin type is combination/oily, and I get acne when I’m stressed (not all over my face though, just 1-3 big pimples). I also have milia all over my cheekbones, and I’m looking into a way to have them removed by a professional since I wasn’t able to get rid of them on my own.
Cleansers
Currently using: Purity by Philosophy
Rating: 6.5/10
It does its job, but I don’t think it worked better than a Garnier cleanser I tried a year ago, and it’s more expensive. Also, the smell is a bit odd. Clean, but odd. I got this as a free gift for signing up for an Ulta credit card, and it’s definitely smooth and feels good rubbing into my skin. This will probably work fine on most skin types. However, for the price tag (and my skin type), there’s probably something better out there for me.
Currently using: Daily Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash (Philosophy)
Rating: 7/10
It’s a gentle-enough exfoliant that I can use it every morning as a cleanser in place of Purity (though if this is a big skincare mistake, someone please let me know!) It smells a bit like oranges and has a thick jelly texture. It feels refreshing and all, but again, I’m not sure how much it’s doing given the fact that I get breakouts whenever I’m stressed and I have to use other products to even out my skin tone again and get rid of acne. It does its job, but for the price, I could probably find something better for my specific skincare needs. That being said, I got the full size on sale for $15 at Christmas last year (normally $42) and it lasts a long time.
Trial: Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser by Drunk Elephant
Rating: ?
Everyone can get their hands on this in one of the options for your free birthday gift at Sephora this year. If you missed your birthday, you can still get your gift by going on sephora.com and logging into your Beauty Insider account to temporarily change your birth date before you go shopping. Not a huge fan of the packaging, since it’s a little messy when my hands are wet from washing my face and I don’t want to get cleanser all over the sink and it’s hard to close if your fingers are slippery (if you’ve used this, you probably know what I’m talking about). Like Purity, the smell is a bit funky, but that could be a good sign since things that smell good usually have fragrance that can cause irritation. Still trying this though, will update later.
Sample: Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Conditioning Cleanser
Rating: ?
Only had a sample size that lasted a week, but I liked this when I used it. You didn’t need much product to cleanse your whole face, and it smelled really clean and refreshing but not overpowering. Lathered nice, and I’ll probably try this someday when I get more than a little sample packet.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Foaming Wash
Rating: 8/10
For a drugstore product, I really liked using this. The only reason I stopped was to try out the Philosophy products. My skin felt tight and clean after using this, and I could really lather to remove dirt and excess makeup. This is kind of my fallback, and my sister (age 20, combo skin) and my mom (age 50+, combo skin and rosacea) both like it too. Garnier also sells one in a blue bottle with aloe, but it’s not as good as this one and doesn’t have the micellar water.
Toner
Currently using: Thayers Witch Hazel & Rose Petal Toner
Rating: 8/10
Does its job, doesn’t irritate, is inexpensive, and you can find it at the drugstore and Target. In the future I want to try a toner more targeted to my acne-prone oilier skin, but this toner is a catch-all, and overall a solid option in online reviews.
Sample: Kiehl’s Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion
Rating: ?
I only got a baby sample that lasted 3 days, but this was really nice when I used it. It’s definitely for oily skin since it has alcohol in it, but it didn’t dry me out and made my pores feel nice and tight. Wish I could review more in-depth, but didn’t get a chance to use this long enough.
Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner
Rating: 6/10
I guess it worked (it’s been over a year since I’ve used this, though) and the smell was good, but I remember liking the Thayers better so I switched. Didn’t irritate or anything, nothing bad to say, but it didn’t leave an impression.
Serum
Currently using: The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 10% + HA
Rating: 9/10
For my first real foray into serums, this has worked pretty well. I wanted to increase my skin turnover rate and bring my milia to the surface, and this works well, is under $10, and is gentle enough to use every night. I didn’t want to try anything too drastic since I hadn’t used serum before, and this one was great. Will keep using, and will likely try other products from The Ordinary in the future.
Sample: Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate
Rating: ?
I got a small sample packet of this when I went to a Kiehl’s store for a free consultation, and it lasted about a week. I started to see results, but I ran out of the sample and went with The Ordinary since this little sucker is expensive. Seems like a great product, but not good on the budget.
Sample: Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-texturizing Serum Concentrate
Rating: ?
Seems like a good product, and I liked it for the week I used it. No smell, smooth texture, all good. However, the price is steep, so I don’t think I’ll be buying this anytime soon.
Spot Treatments
Currently using: Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel
Rating: ?
I just bought this yesterday, so I’ll post more of a review after at least a week. First impressions: this is a spot treatment, and I don’t know who would use this all over their face like the box says you can do. It’s strong and a bit sticky (like superglue?) and you have to be careful not to touch your eyes or anything while you have some on your fingertips. It absorbs quickly, and while it’s definitely drying, you can put moisturizer over it just fine.
Clindamycin Phosphate Topical Gel
Rating: N/A
I feel like I can’t “rate” this since it’s not OTC and I got it through a doctor’s prescription, but I loved this and if the doctor I switched to this past year hadn’t screwed up, I’d still be using it twice a day. Gentle, didn’t smell like anything, and kept my acne away pretty well. More of a preventative measure than something to use once you already have the acne.
Moisturizers
Currently using: Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer
Rating: 8.5/10
I started using this a month ago, and I really like it, especially for a light morning moisturizer in the summer. It feels so smooth when you put it on, and the citrus smell is amazing. I like this one better than the Drunk Elephant one (below), and it’s half the price. I don’t think I’ll use this in the dry winter months, but it’s been great in warm temperatures and sunshine.
Trial: Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
Rating: ~6.5/10
For the price, I don’t understand the hype here. Yeah, it’s a nice thick creamy moisturizer, but it doesn’t smell fabulous and I don’t think it works better than other moisturizers that are under $40. However, my sister is in love with this stuff, so maybe it’s just me.
Trial: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Rating: ?
I picked this one up at Ulta yesterday, so I haven’t had a long enough time to test it. However, it gets rave reviews, and my first impression was that it went on smoothly and felt nice, but I’ll have more to say later.
Sample: Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Moisturizer
Rating: ?
I liked this moisturizer a lot better than the other one I got as a free sample from Kiehl’s (below). No strong smell, applied smoothly (I’m saying this a lot, but there’s a reason), but I didn’t notice any “stress-minimizing”.
Sample: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm
Rating: ?
Not for me. Didn’t go on my skin smoothly, I didn’t like the smell (vaguely oat-like? Or am I crazy?), didn’t feel great on my skin. I still had some left in the sample when I threw it out, it just isn’t for anyone with oily skin. Not sure why the girl at Kiehl’s gave me this, but whatever.
Garnier Skin Active Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rosewater
Rating: 6.5/10
Not good in the summer. I might go back to it in the winter, but this probably just made the milia on the thin skin under my eyes worse when it was humid out. More for dry skin, and the fragrance was a bit strong. Also, I felt like you needed a lot of product to use on your whole face, since it didn’t glide on like some of the more gel-textured moisturizers I’ve tried. Not too bad for the drugstore, though.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture Combination Skin
Rating: 7/10
I liked this, it definitely mattified my oily t-zone. The only reason I really stopped using it was because I wanted to try a moisturizer with SPF...
Neutrogena Moisturizer, SPF 15
Rating: 5/10
This didn’t work for me. The SPF made it more irritating if I got it close to my eyes or touched my eyes too soon after applying, and my nose in particular seemed really oily when I used this. Maybe only use this if you have normal-dry skin?
Other
Currently using: St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub
Rating: 7/10
I use this about 3 times a week at night, and I don’t find it too irritating like some people say the apricot or walnut scrub is. Pretty sure the beads in here are silicone, so it doesn’t tear up my face. I stopped using this for a few weeks, and when I picked it back up to try and get rid of an acne flare-up, it really helped. I definitely noticed that it was doing something when I went off it for a bit. Drugstore BHA (Salicylic Acid) that works for me.
Freeman Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask and Scrub
Rating: 4/10
Are you a scrub? Are you a mask? Make up your mind. It doesn’t really work as either, with a weird thick jelly texture and huge scrub beads. Only used twice, maybe I’m jumping to conclusions, but even though this didn’t break me out or anything, it didn’t seem to do anything at all. Weird product.
GlamGlow Super-Clearing Mud Mask Treatment
Rating: 6.5/10
For the price and with all the ingredients including a blend of AHAs, I thought this would do more. It’s satisfying to watch the mask turn lighter gray as it dries on your face, but you’re only supposed to use it once a week, and I haven’t noticed results after a month. A fun mask to try, but I won’t be repurchasing since it’s too expensive for not enough of a result.
Burt’s Bees Conditioning Lip Scrub
Rating: 4/10
Chapstick would accomplish pretty much the same thing this does. It’s hard to scrub it into your lips, since the honey “beads” like to congeal into larger blobs, and it’s surprisingly expensive for a small little container at the drugstore. There have to be better lip scrubs out there, save your money.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Rosewater
Rating: 7/10
A nice product, but I don’t get the hype or cult status. Good for a refreshing pick-me-up, but I don’t notice anything different when I don’t use it. Not really a setting spray, just extra hydration during the day if you’re into that. Good for wetting a beauty blender, though.

I’ve bought from Ulta’s physical stores before but I’ve never bought anything online from them before. I saw a palette advertised through Facebook, so I clicked on it to take a look. It was a really cheap price for such a nice Tarte palette and I decided to get it. I tried to make a purchase and I received an error message stating there was something wrong with my payment method. I rechecked my info and it still wouldn’t go through. I tried a different card and it didn’t go through. Finally, I tried Paypal and I received the same error message but the charge went through. I contacted Ulta to let them know I encountered weird errors during the transaction. They let me know they’d look into it. I later realized I was billed through Paypal so I provided the transaction ID and asked if I was going to get a refund or the product. I hadn’t gotten a reply so I contacted them again with the transaction ID. No reply again so I was going to open a dispute via Paypal but I saw the transaction had already been canceled. Finally, Ulta contacts me and they link me to their terms and stated they had the right to refuse service to me for any violation to their terms. I DID go over terms and found I have not violated anything. I used my own credit cards and Paypal account. I’ve never left an inappropriate review on a product--again this was supposed to be my first online purchase. I don’t understand why they keep their replies so vague--as I would like to be pointed to what I could have possibly violated because I really have no clue. I did reply asking if I have permanently been banned from online purchases to Ulta. I also tweeted them and I did get a reply from their Twitter team. They asked for my information and I let them know that I clicked on the item from a Facebook ad in case that could have led to anything wrong. (Did the Facebook ad lead me astray?) I also provided my Paypal transaction ID and my email for contact. Hoping for a resolution because, again, I can’t possibly imagine that I did anything seriously wrong.

New Post has been published on https://judysbusinessblog.com/credit-card-companies-are-not-your-friend/
Credit Card Companies Are NOT Your Friend!
Credit Card Companies are NOT your friend!
Why Credit card companies are not my or your friend.
When you have no control over your own credit score, when your “makes payments on time” is at least 3 years old, they will find a way to either deny you credit or charge you the higher interest rate. Read on for things that the credit card companies have done to me.`
Issue #1: I recently received a notification that my Old Navy Credit Card was closed. “What?” I didn’t close the account ~ so what happened? The credit card company gave me the excuse “lack of activity” and closed the card! Well, I didn’t use it often, and when I did I always paid it in full ~ so I decided that it wasn’t a big deal.
Issue #2: A couple of weeks go by and I suddenly got another notification from Credit Karma, that my Ulta Credit Card was closed due to lack of activity! What? Now, I most definitely did not close that account! I also used that account like Old Navy’s ~ where I paid the account in full at the end of the month.
Issue #3: Barclay, my Apple credit card – I had applied to get the credit, totally taking advantage of the promo (18 months no interest/finance charges if paid in full) but with the pandemic, I decided that this was not a good time to purchase that IMAC that I so wanted! So, because I did not take advantage of the promo during the specific period Barclay decided to close that account! Yep, you guessed it! “Due to lack of activity!”
Issue #4: I have an American Express Credit Card with a low-interest rate. I make my payments on time, always more than the minimum payment. For some reason, they have been checking my credit report every few months and based on what they decide is an issue, they lower my credit limit. They have done this three times now! I called them after the 1st time and talked with their customer service.
I was assured that this was standard procedure – periodically, they check all accounts. This isn’t a new card. I have been a good paying card member for 4 years now. After the 3rd time (the pandemic) I had enough. I called to ask what was going on. My balance owing was continually decreasing, I wasn’t using the card, but every time they lowered my credit limit my credit score would go down a few points! I cancelled the account.
What’s in your wallet?
Judy’s Credit Recommendations:
Do not answer any mail from a credit card solicitor. Their interest rates are astronomical! They will charge you between 26 & 29% interest rates! The promotional period, 12-18 months, no interest is the hook. Your interest will still accrue. Remember, you will be charged one lump sum if you do not pay off the amount owed before the promotional period is up.
Care Credit ~ the card that will help to pay your medical, dental, or vet bills. Dental insurance, even with it, it doesn’t cover everything, so I applied for a Care Credit Card. Yep. I was approved. At 26% interest rate! Needless to say, I am canceling that card! There isn’t any way that I will pay that kind of interest rate.
You are told your credit score is one of the most important things to maintain. Making your payments on time, or paying things off, won’t matter if your income has been reduced. They don’t care about the reasoning, (pandemic) What they care about is finding the excuse they need to either charge you a higher interest rate or deny you altogether.
Credit Unions are your friend. Usually, Credit Unions are more forgiving, they don’t look at you as a number, but as a person and they will negotiate for you. I have had nothing but success and assistance from my Schools Credit Union. I have been a member for years now. They are reasonable, charge lower interest rates and truly care about helping you with your loan needs.
Words of advice here for all of you:
Link to the latest Credit Card Interest Rates & Explanations
Always, always read the fine print. Don’t feel rushed.
Do not take the sales person’s word for anything. (Unless you personally know this person)
Big banks are not your friend.
Research different credit unions ~ they are your friend, have the best rates, and work well with the little guy.
Join Credit Karma – there isn’t any charge. They review your credit, showcase your FICO score, and give you info on how to help your credit improve.
Wallet Hub – a great resource – concern yourself with the interest rates ~ if you are unemployed, your income has shrunk. Words of advice? Your credit is already in the dump – just do what you can and concentrate on paying the essentials only.
Like I said in the beginning. Credit Card Companies are not your friend!

Integration is key, abnormally back we allocution about data. A lot or organizations still accept actual disparaged abstracts because siloed systems. Integrating systems for CRM, agenda marketing, sales and chump account is footfall one. But appropriately important is to be able to chase the babble with the chump from access to channel. If your chump grabs the buzz and vents his complaint – can your abettor see that this being acclimated the webform yesterday, beatific an email that morning and a absolute bulletin via Twitter? Or does the chump accept to alpha cogent his adventure from scratch?
If you accept a accurate omnichannel acquaintance centermost all this advice is at the fingertips of your agents, allotment them to bear a alone acquaintance absorption at the specific catechism and bearings for the customer.

Connecting them to the appropriate ability should be accessible and intuitive. No amaranthine IVR choices but AI apprenticed accent acceptance in aggregate with skills-based acquisition for instance, ensuring the best accessible abettor gets to acknowledgment the issue. On top of this we can additionally bear predictive routing; acquisition based on predefined KPI’s. Predictive acquisition is AI assisted and will arbitrate abilities based acquisition if the aftereffect of that acquisition accommodation will advance the authentic KPI.
It sounds actual futuristic: but that best abettor ability be a bot. With accent acceptance it is accessible to actualize a chatty self-service action for almost simple, alternating requests. A acceptable archetype is in this video area a chump is accustomed by her buzz cardinal and asked if she calls about her best contempo order. The bot understands her acknowledgment and reacts by initiating the acknowledgment action including a acceptance email. Another acceptable archetype is a animal abettor handing off the processing of a acclaim agenda acquittal to an automatic process, based on accent acceptance and argument to speech, appropriately ensuring aegis and acquiescence of the banking transaction.

Through accent and argument assay the arrangement can retrieve accordant advice from the ability abject while the abettor talks to the customer. Happy Sunday beauty enthusiasts! I just had to let you know about the MUST HAVE Ulta mobile app which you can download either on the Apple App Store or Google Play. This is my go-to app for all things beauty! Ulta makes it so easy and accessible to shop, get coupons, find a store location, and more! Let me walk you through all the cool things the app offers right at your fingertips.
Immediately upon accessing the Ulta app, I am welcomed by Good Afternoon Karen! This app is a completely personalized experience with content chosen just for me. From the homepage, I can check on my rewards status, I find featured and new products and ones chosen just for me, personal offers and messages, and can access coupons available. Across the bottom I can chose Home, Shop, Favorites, Stores, and More which opens a ton more options. Of course my first choice to come to the app.... shopping!
I do the majority of my shopping on my phone, and the Ulta app is the first place I go whenever I hear about a new product and want to do some research on it. I just put the item in the search bar and find out everything I need to learn including description, how to use, read reviews, pricing, and even sometimes YouTube tutorials. I can click on Store Availability for a list of nearby stores that have what I want in stock, and I can also buy it online and pick it up in the store. When I find something I love but not ready to purchase, I can add it the Favorites section so I don’t lose track of it. Next to Favorites I find a quick Stores link so when I am out and about and want to visit a store in person it is easy to find one close by! I can also see store hours and call them directly.
Last on the bottom of my Homepage I find More, which opens to options galore! I can check on my orders, purchase gift cards, save payment info, and contact customer service. One of the things I love best about Ulta is their rewards program and on the app I can easily see all I need to know about my Ultamate Rewards status. First, this is where I find my Member Id, which is important when I am purchasing items in order to earn points. There is a QR Code that the store can scan to access my rewards account. I can find my points balance and how far I need to go to reach the next level, and even see how many dollars I have spent so far this year! (I am not sure if that is a good or bad feature!) The rewards program is a great way to earn money-saving coupons, so having this information readily accessible on the app is one of my favorite features. If you have a Ultamate Rewards credit card through Ulta, you are able to manage your account and make payments here as well.
My final favorite option on the Ulta app is the GLAMlab Virtual Try-On section. Here you can upload a picture of yourself and virtually try-on thousands of beauty products to see how they would look in real life before you shop. After finding the perfect look, you can easily put together a customized shopping list and shop to your hearts content! Download this brilliant and fun app today!
Have a beauty-full day :)

Our Review: 4.5 / 5 Hidden in the lanes of the fort @rajukichai is an unconventional yet a cool place for chai especially in the monsoons. The ambiance of this place is designed to feel the nostalgia of a roadside tapri but in an urban formats i.e. the materials, floor finishes, wall finishes, colours and art are more local and Indian. Coming to food, they are known to serve the basic Adrak Chai, the infamous Chocolate Tea and turmeric tea. You can even try their steaming chai with their famous Ulta Pizza and Potato Twisters. The place is also famous for maggi. We did manage to try “Bahubali Pizza”, “Ladakhi Coffee” and “saffron tea” and we would totally recommend them with closed eyes. The servings are very fresh, also the service is good. Overall this place is a perfect spot to head to when you want to have a good time with your friends over tea and some snacks. Try the soothing kesari special chai , or the adrak and lemongrass version, and you'll understand their motto: 'Piyo magar pyaar se' . . Follow us @foodreviewonline or www.foodreviewonline.com

There is a difference between being an INFLUENCER and HAVING INFLUENCE.
An influencer may have a huge audience but have zero impact on their buying decisions.
To have influence means your audience not only LISTENS but also TAKES ACTION because of your recommendations because you have developed a RELATIONSHIP with them over time.
In order to influence someone, they need to trust you.
Talking about trust, why am I qualified to teach you how to monetize your influence?
I’ve worked on over 1000 influencer campaigns
I’ve worked with BestBuy, Target, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, FujiFilm, Amazon, and Intel among other companies
I speak at conferences all around the world about how to become an influential influencer
Here are the 6 basic steps to monetizing your influence broken down into 2 categories:
WHAT TO POST ON INSTAGRAM?
Promote products and services you already use
Help your audience by solving personal problems
Promote products and services that are high quality and unique
HOW TO PITCH COMPANIES + GET PAID?
Create a killer media kit to send to brands
Actively DM and email the companies you’d like to work with
Master affiliate marketing + the art of persuasive language
How To Monetize Your Influence: Taught By Award-Winning Influencer Elaine Rau
Trust is built over time when you consistently show up for someone, which is why it’s important to post every day.
But what are you supposed to post on Instagram every single day?!
1. Promote products and services you already use
Look at your credit or debit card history and see what products or services you’ve purchased within the past 6 months. See if you can find a common theme among your purchases and notice where you spend the bulk of your money – aside from bills.
Do you buy a lot of presents for your pet? (THEME: PETS)
Do you go to the gym every other day and purchase protein shakes? (THEME: FITNESS)
Do you like to try out new restaurants in town? (THEME: FOOD)
Do you use makeup every day? (THEME: BEAUTY)
If you buy a little bit of everything and don’t have an overall theme, think about your motivations behind WHY you purchase what you do. Perhaps healthy choices motivate you, in that case, your theme can be: HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
When I first started, I had a couple thousand followers and decided to post a comparative review about the two straighteners I had, which helped me land a free trip to the salon, which led to me promoting more beauty products and partnering with more beauty brands.
2. Help your audience by solving personal problems
Everyone has problems, and if your page can help solve a problem, you have a very valuable page!
THINK: What kind of problems do you like helping people solve?
Maybe you’re super fashionable and like to help people out with their outfits
Maybe you have impeccable cooking skills and like helping people create healthy recipes around their lifestyle
Maybe you’re an incredible makeup artist and like to help by inspiring people through body art
Maybe you hit the gym every day and love helping others sculpt their bodies as well
When I was starting my online business, I read a TON of books and shared what I was learning to my audience to help them along their entrepreneurial journey (as I helped myself along my own path)!
It wasn’t too long afterward that I started getting featured in books and magazines myself because my business started booming.
3. Promote products and services that are high quality and unique
If you can easily find a cheap replica of the product you’re trying to promote on Amazon, look for something else! The fewer places the product is located the better because you want people to purchase it from you.
The same concept works for services and experiences, the more exclusive the opportunity, the more people will value and look forward to what you promote.
Of course, this isn’t always possible because there is so much competition with brands and sometimes jumping on trends can be extremely lucrative, so know that this rule can be broken sometimes!
4. Create a killer media kit to send to brands
Your media kit should contain a few crucial elements:
Bio – describe who you are, what kind of content you produce, and how you can help
Demographics – audience gender, location, age, ethnicity
If you know their marital status, parental status, income, and religion, that is even better
ROI stats – this is advanced, but if you have worked on previous campaigns and have either sold lots of product or brought in loads of brand awareness, make sure to display your stats
I go into depth on how to create the perfect media kit in my course on “How To Make Money As An Influencer“.
Below is an email that I got from the CEO of an influencer network where he said that my media kit was one of the most accomplished and creative portfolios he had ever seen!
5. Actively DM and email the companies you’d like to work with
Getting brand deals is a numbers game. The more pitches you send out, the more likely you’ll land a good gig!
I recommend in addition to sending a written pitch, send an example of the type of content you could create for the company. The best way to do this is to have created and posted an image on your feed that looks similar to the type of content you’d like to create for them.
For example, let’s say you want to go on a vacation with your friends and get free accommodations in exchange for an Instagram post. You need to provide lots of great examples of what type of content you can create for them.
The more examples you have, the more campaigns you’ll likely book!
There are a lot of ways to pitch correctly, and a TON of ways to pitch incorrectly. I teach how to get your pitch right the first time in my “How To Make Money As An Influencer” course.
My student, Colleen Cook went from having zero luck to getting 20 brand deals IN ONE WEEK after completing the course.
6. Master affiliate marketing + the art of persuasive language
If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is or want to get better at it, sign up for my free 5-Day Master Affiliate Marketing. This is a CRUCIAL element to becoming a successful influencer, especially if you want to start earning passive income.
In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is when you promote a company’s products or services and make a commission from the amount you sell for them. This is tracked through affiliate links and unique promo codes.
The only way to get really good at affiliate marketing is to also be really good with your WORDS.
This is where blogging skills come in handy, so if you want to learn how to blog well, sign up for my 7-Day Make Money Blogging or my 21-Day Build A Better Blog if you already have a blog.
Everything you do, know that it’s a learning process. When I first started on Instagram, I really didn’t post the best photos. After learning a few tips and tricks and investing in a phone with a better camera, I was able to create higher quality content and as a result, got hired for more AND better-paying campaigns.
The point is to start where you are with what you have and keep learning along the way!
I don’t know if you can tell, but there is a huge difference in photo quality in my most recent posts compared to what I used to post!
[click_to_tweet tweet=”Start where you are with what you have and keep learning along the way! #LadyBossBlogger” quote=”Start where you are with what you have and keep learning along the way!”]
BONUS TIP:
There are LOADS of influencer platforms that you can join and sign up to get selected for influencer campaigns.
Here are a few places you can start where you can pitch brands:
Glambassador
Intellifluence
Izea
There are also other platforms that you can sign up for where they will pitch the brands for you and you get “gigs” when brands want to work with you!

20 Ways to Get Free Stuff Online
In a day and age where everyone seems to be offering free stuff online, it may be hard to discern which companies offering free stuff are legit, and which ones are a scam.
The truth is not everyone has your best interest in mind, and often times getting free stuff isn’t as simple as some people make it out to be. There’s almost always some sort of “catch.”
You’ll have to register an account. Download an app. Start a free trial.
You get the point.
It makes sense, though. Companies aren’t just going to offer free stuff online if there isn’t at least some heightened chance that you’ll do business with them in the future.
Fortunately, you don’t have to do business with them. Many companies offer free product samples, free makeup, or other free stuff by mail, with no requirements, commitments, or shipping costs.
To help you cash in on their desperation generosity, we’ve put together a list of 20 completely safe places you can get free beauty products, gift cards, and other common household items (from retailers such as Amazon, Starbucks, and Walmart), at no cost to you.
20 Apps and Websites to Get Free Stuff Online
There are a number of companies that offer online freebies in exchange for completing easy tasks like taking paid surveys and watching videos. The tasks are generally pretty boring, but they offer a legit way to get totally free stuff with no strings attached.
Note: The apps and websites below can be accessed without a credit card (if you’d prefer to keep your information private).
Where to Get Free Gift Cards
Gift cards give you the opportunity to buy whatever your heart desires at various retailers, restaurants and more. The below websites may reward you with free gift cards, making it easier to score new clothes, enjoy a dinner out, or cover a week’s worth of groceries.
1. Swagbucks
With Swagbucks, you can earn points for things like shopping, taking surveys, watching videos, and playing games.
Once you earn enough points, you can redeem them for gift cards to popular places like Target, Amazon, and Walmart.
You can also earn cash and transfer it to your PayPal account if that’s your preference.

Aquavo Eye Serum Review (UPDATED 2017): Don’t Buy Before You Read This!
Aquavo Eye Serum is an anti-aging eye solution made to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines. This product was meant to be used on a daily basis and may help increase the skin’s elasticity with use.
Aquavo Eye Serum markets itself as a surgery-free solution to aging—claiming that in four weeks, you’ll be wrinkle free, with supple, youthful skin. Though we don’t know what’s included in the ingredient blend, the product focuses on bringing more collagen to the area for a smoother look.
Kremovage best provides the youthful look consumers want from an under eye solution. Aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, green tea, peptides and retinol are among several active ingredients working together to lift, firm and smooth dry or damaged skin. Click here to learn more about how you can purchase Kremovage today.
Do You Know the Best Eye Creams of 2017 ?
Aquavo Eye Serum Ingredients and Side Effects
Unfortunately, there is no ingredient list available for Aquavo Eye Serum. This product has a landing page that lists all the many benefits this product aims to provide, but fails to offer anything more than baseless claims.
The web copy mentions the product works to treat and prevent inflammation, erase wrinkles and function as a stand-in for plastic surgery or Botox injections, without stating how, exactly this product accomplishes these goals.
The website offers users a video that explains the effects of aging on the skin, and reiterates countless times that Aquavo will make you look younger in 4 weeks.
The only ingredient present is “whole collagen molecules.” We’re not entirely sure this is, in fact true, as collagen molecules are quite large and cannot penetrate deep into the skin.
Instead, many products seek to stimulate collagen production—whether through peptides or vitamin C, or other antioxidant-rich ingredients. These ingredients can really get into the deeper layers for some more meaningful results.
Applying collagen to the face is known to be a fruitless effort and more marketing scheme than active ingredient. Plus, there’s not enough information available regarding any other items included in this blend.

Aquavo Eye Serum Quality of Ingredients
Aquavo Eye Serum could be made from anything. As we’ve stated in the above section, the only evidence of an active ingredient was the passing mention of whole collagen molecules in the web copy.
Again, whole collagen molecules are huge—the website says this is a benefit, but it’s really not. With collagen, it’s better to use prevention methods like sun protection and the right creams and serums. Collagen supplements might help, but it’s long been known that topical application is kind of a waste of money and sounds better than it actually is.
Our recommendation is to seek out a collagen-boosting eye cream. Peptides are known for their ability to stimulate collagen production, as are antioxidants—smaller molecules can more readily get into the skin and help reverse some of the signs of aging.
The lack of ingredients posted on the site feels like a red flag to us. It’s hard to trust a product that isn’t advertised alongside an ingredient label, or at the very least, a

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this product with a proven eye cream such as Kremovage for better results.
The Price and Quality of Aquavo Eye Serum
Aquavo Eye Serum is not available for sale through the official websites, nor is it offered on any of the major platforms like Sephora, Ulta, or Amazon.
Instead, users are invited through YouTube videos and Facebook ads to visit one of several landing pages, where you can sign up for a free trial offer.
The free trial requires that you pay a small shipping fee in exchange for a 30-day supply of the serum, and from there, are automatically enrolled in a monthly billing cycle that is quite hard to get out of.
What more is, these types of schemes generally cost consumers about $90 a month—a sum not unheard of for certain eye creams, but somewhat unreasonable for a product with no brand, no ingredient list, and no customer loyalty.

Business of Aquavo Eye Serum
Aquavo Eye Serum is made by a company that clearly does not want to be found. The makers of this product have set up a few different landing pages designed to capture credit card and shipping information from users that sign up for a free trial offer.
Aquavo Eye Serum has few reviews listed anywhere on the web. The product is not available through Amazon or Sephora—good resources for people who like reading reviews before they buy—and the makers of this product have failed to set up a proper e-commerce channel that builds trust with consumers.
As mentioned above, the site fails to offer an ingredient list or a pricing structure, instead inviting users to sign up for a risk free trial. Upon entering shipping and billing information, users may be able to read the fine print, which lays out the terms of the autopay agreement. Most people fail to notice this and get caught up in an ongoing billing cycle they don’t remember authorizing.
Overall, it seems this company has failed to provide a straightforward selling system for potential shoppers, instead, opting to take the easy way out—tricking people into buying a product rather than making a high quality cream users feel comfortable investing in.
Customer Opinions of Aquavo Eye Serum
Aquavo Eye Serum does not have any reviews cataloging its use as an anti-aging product. This eye serum is made by a company that has provided very little information to prospective consumers, and unsurprisingly has not provided a platform where previous buyers can share their thoughts about this product.
This product is market through a few different YouTube videos—though they don’t have many views. Unfortunately, no one has left comments about the product—much less left a comment that touches on whether or not this product works as directed.
The YouTube videos used to market this product are really strange. One consists of a slide show with an oddly robotic voice delivering the Aquavo talking points—“it’s an alternative to surgery,” “no needles required,” “visible and positive results,” and so on.
Based on our look at the marketing materials, as well as the fact that literally no end consumers have shared their opinions on the quality of the product, there is no way we feel comfortable recommending this product to our readers.
Between the pricing, the mystery ingredients and the complete lack of reviews, this product is rife with bad signs. We cannot stress this enough—avoid Aquavo Eye Serum—the potential free trial is not worth the headache of dealing with absent customer service reps and unexpected credit card charges.

Conclusion – Does Aquavo Eye Serum Work?
Aquavo Eye Serum, unfortunately, follows the same template of several other free trial schemes—there’s the landing page, the missing information, as well as hard-to-find fine print that puts you on the hook for monthly payments of almost $100 per product.
Obviously, this business model is just a form of abuse. Companies get around the legalities of this type of business practice due to arbitration agreements that require minimal fine print informing the consumer that they’re on the hook for a lot more than shipping and handling.
Though it seems like we see this kind of deception all the time, it’s still worth mentioning that Aquavo Eye Serum is made by a company that fails to take consumer best interests to heart. These scams may be legal through some loop hole, but at their very core, they take advantage of people expecting to receive something for free.
And, even without taking this fraudulent behavior into consideration, we still don’t know what this product is actually made from. It could be loaded with filler ingredients, harmful preservatives, we have no idea.
We simply cannot recommend this product to anyone looking for a skin care solution. Most reputable products come with a long list of reviews, as well as a guide to the ingredients and an idea of who the product is designed for.
Kremovage is the best option on the market when it comes to treating the major signs of aging that effect the skin. Ingredients like retinol, peptides and soothing botanicals like aloe, green tea, and cucumber offer a range of benefits to consumers—firming and lifting skin, reducing this appearance of crow’s feet and eliminating dark circles and puffiness.
Kremovage was designed to give users a meaningful anti-aging solution that works on all skin types. Ingredients have been thoroughly tested in a lab facility and the formula has not been tested on animals. Click the link to read about what makes Kremovage such a valuable for fighting wrinkles.
