☆ drst hcs ~ in denial
prompt. him being heavily in denial about his feelings for you and if/when he’d finally realize it. split into three sections — him & you (how & why the denial starts) + him & co. (another character’s reaction to his denial) + feelings realization. gender neutral reader.
ft. hyoga, tsukasa, & ukyo
warning. spoilers for most recent eps. ahead , angst
a/n — I think this concept is fun! less characters bc there’s 3 sections per character! enjoy this fun little game of denial! also, i will say that hyoga’s characterization is largely based on his later manga appearances! there are no spoilers, but you don’t get to see a lot of good hyoga until the manga <//3 anyway! enjoy!
Tumblr media
☁️ hyoga akatsuki ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• Given his nature, Hyoga would be in denial for quite some time before ever realizing that he actually likes you. After all, in his mission to build a world where only the strong and proper are revived, is there really any room for romance?
• The answer, of course, happens to be yes, even if he didn’t mean to fall for you.
• Usually, Hyoga would view kindness as yours as limiting and weak. How can anyone survive in a battle of survival of the fittest if they refuse to be ruthless?
• However… your kindness does something to him. He’s used to being treated with respect, reverence, or fear. Experiencing genuine kindness from you— kindness from one person to another is an entirely new experience. He’s never been treated with warmth and smiles without an ulterior motive.
• Pacifist or not, your kindness is only further enhanced by your other skills. Witnessing you in your element further grows Hyoga’s affection for you. Your warmth got his eyes on you, and your skills kept him watching.
• But… surely he’s only watching you because you’re a proper ally, right? He’s merely surprised by how capable you turned out to be behind that soft heart. That’s why you’ve caught his attention.
• Hyoga treats you noticeably kinder than others. Even when he’s around people he respects— like Homura or Tsukasa— he maintains distance. With you, he’s a little warmer— more willing to entail conversation he’d see as nonsensical otherwise.
• On top of that, Hyoga is adamant on keeping you away from trouble. When he starts to suspect Gen’s loyalty, he tries his best to keep you far from the mentalist. What if Gen pulled you to the other side? How would he keep you safe then?
• He keeps trying to reason with himself that he merely feels this way because you’re a proper ally, and it’d be a shame to lose skills like yours. He’ll ignore his fluttering heart and the smiles behind his mask if it means keeping you at a distance and never admitting how he feels.
• Because if he admits it and he loses you, he’s certain he’ll risk becoming much weaker. And that’s not something he can afford.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — asagiri gen
• Hyoga, though he acts subtle about his favoritism toward you, isn't as discreet as he likely thought he was. Then again, it’s hard to hide things from a mentalist, even if Hyoga wears a mask.
• Gen notices a change in Hyoga’s demeanor a few weeks after you’re revived. Before you were around, Hyoga would make himself scarce— training in solitude— if no one needed him or he had no duties for the day.
• Beforehand, Tsukasa and Homura were the only people Hyoga gave the time of day. He’d hardly ever entertain conversation with another soul unless absolutely necessary. All to say, he was something of a lone wolf.
• Then, you’re revived. And suddenly, Gen sees a lot more of Hyoga around and hears him talking a lot more than he used to.
• Hyoga still trains, but he makes it a point to idle around and wait for you to also be free before walking off with you so you can keep him company while he trains.
• You’re the only one Hyoga actively talks with, and from what Gen has overheard, it’s hardly a business talk. Your conversation topics with Hyoga always include life, family, and who Hyoga is. Surprisingly, Hyoga doesn’t brush you off— diligently answering your questions and even asking some of his own.
• Gen also notices that when Hyoga isn’t around, you’re also notably absent. Gen once thought it was you clinging to Hyoga… but soon realizes it’s quite the opposite. Actually, he overheard Hyoga asking to be assigned to the same work with you when he’s able, or he merely finishes his own duties before seeking you out.
• Gen is quick to realize what it is. However, when he musters up the courage to ask Hyoga about it, he’s not shocked to hear the man vehemently deny it— going as far as calling it foolish and weak.
• However, Gen notices the way his shoulders relax, the way his brow unfurrows, and the smiles Hyoga tries to hide when you’re mentioned. Gen notices the way Hyoga straightens up a bit and softens around the edges when he’s with you.
• Gen knows for a fact that Hyoga is smitten with you. Now… whether or not he’d ever come to admit that is a whole new question. He’s so deep in denial and in his own worldview that he’s almost certain Hyoga would deny it until the day he dies.
• Well… not that it matters to Gen. If he can leverage Hyoga’s crush against him, then he will. Maybe then Hyoga would actually admit that he doesn’t just see you as a normal ally.
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• After his betrayal against Tsukasa and the Kingdom of Science, Hyoga believes he’ll only feel regret that he didn’t best Senku. However… as time passes while he’s locked up, he feels more regret that he betrayed you and your trust.
• He doesn’t remember how everyone else reacted to his betrayal, but he does remember the hurt and disappointment on your face. In that moment, in fully losing, he felt like he lost something more than his ideal world— the person he wanted to share that world with.
• Hyoga fully suspects you to want nothing to do with him or Homura ever again. He suspects that he’s lost you forever— that he’ll never feel your warmth again. And the mere thought makes his heart hurt.
• In that moment, when he’s locked up and questioning why he cares so much, he finally comes to the realization that he wouldn’t care if you were just a proper ally in his eyes. He wouldn’t care so much unless he cared about you deeply.
• Part of him is disappointed— part of him blames you for bringing out a weakness in him. Surely, that weakness is the reason he lost. But… then you start visiting him.
• It starts with you bringing his food on a daily basis. Then, you bring your own food and stick around to eat with him. You engage Homura in conversation, and soon enough, him, too.
• Hyoga warms up to you all over again. You’re stronger than he ever was. He wants to call you stupid for being so willing to forgive him even though he was your enemy. However, he knows that you’ve fully considered the weight of your decision and still chose forgiveness anyway.
• He knows he could never be that way— which is why he has to admire that trait in you. Sure, perhaps kindness can be a foolish weakness… but that kindness of yours allowed you to give him a second chance.
• In its own way, that’s quite proper, isn’t it?
• Either way, he can’t help but accept that, yes. He loves you more than anything. And if there isn’t a place for romance in the Stone World, he’ll just have to carve one out himself.
• All he hopes is that, one day, you’ll be able to love him just as much. Though, he’d be unable to blame you for feeling otherwise. It’d be foolish for him to engage in such wishful thinking without facing reality.
• But… he certainly does love you. And that won’t change for a long time.
Tumblr media
☁️ tsukasa shishio ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• When his attention first falls on you, Tsukasa assumes it’s because you’re especially pure-hearted. You’re someone his sister would’ve loved. After all, what else could it possibly be?
• He isn’t fully sure when that viewpoint changes. All he knows is that you change from someone his sister would’ve loved to someone he wishes could’ve met her. You become someone he knows he likes to be around, and he isn’t sure why.
• He vehemently denies that it could be love because, well, it was that same emotion that was Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha’s downfall. Senku’s care for his friend and knowing that Taiju loved Yuzuriha is precisely why he was able to best them.
• Emotions like that were sure to become a weakness, and he’d never let that happen, so it couldn’t be that. It’s precisely why he’s never searched for Mirai. Because even if she couldn’t be revived, he couldn’t bear to see her statue come to harm.
• So what he feels for you couldn’t be that. The desire to be in your presence— the desire to confide in you and spend quiet moments with you— it isn’t love. Admiration, perhaps? Maybe friendship? With each passing day he becomes more uncertain of the answer.
• What he does know is that he makes it a point to check in on you quite a bit. He revived you for your skills and kindness… but each time he meets you it’s never about anything related to the Empire.
• Your conversations with him are notably familiar. They’re never about work like with the others he talks with. When he approaches you, he does so to check in on your well-being— to ask if there’s anything you feel you’re lacking.
• You’re the only one he walks along the beach quietly with, reminiscing about his sister and his past. Tsukasa feels inclined to tell you things he hasn’t told another.
• But it isn’t love. When he tells you about himself— hoping to show you the reasons behind his morals— it isn’t love. When he’s had a rough day plagued with regrets and he seeks you out— that isn’t love.
• Because if it is, he’s certain you’d never be happy with where his morals align. He’s certain that you hide how troubled you are beneath a kind smile.
• If he falls for you, he knows it’d kill him that you’d never agree to be by his side. So he refuses— he can’t. He’ll call the extra kindness he shows you, the leniency he takes with you, anything but what it likely is if it means saving himself the weakness that comes with that warmth.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — yuzuriha & taiju
• While Tsukasa is relatively good about being subtle about how he feels about you, the person that notices it first is Yuzuriha, followed closely by Taiju.
• When he’s around you, Taiju recognizes the initial upstanding guy he thought Tsukasa was. He sees no hint of hostility or distrust that he’d seen in him before. All he sees is kindness. Tsukasa never regards you with anything but a smile, and it’s enough for Taiju to firmly believe that, yeah, Tsukasa is a good guy— probably just on the wrong path.
• It’s entirely different for Yuzuriha. The reason she recognizes Tsukasa’s fondness for you so quickly is because she recognizes the way the man looks at you. It’s the same way Taiju looks at her. Fondness, warmth, love— an unspoken desire to be by someone’s side no matter what may happen.
• They both see that… but they also hear how Tsukasa talks about you. He has nothing but good things to say. Even if you’re someone who doesn’t agree with Tsukasa’s morals, he’s never expressed anything but understanding. And if someone dares disrespect you, he’s quick to shut it down.
• However, they also hear him insist that you’re just a friend— someone pure-hearted that needs to be protected. Taiju mentions to Yuzuriha that he feels like Tsukasa looks a little sad when he calls you just a friend. She sees it, too.
• When he thinks you aren’t looking, the two notice that Tsukasa’s eyes always seem to drift to you. He always has a faraway look in his eyes. Then, they see his eyes glimmer a bit with hope when you happen to catch his gaze.
• Truth be told, it makes both Taiju and Yuzuriha a little sad. If Tsukasa was honest with himself— if he wasn’t so adamant on his ways— then there’d be nothing stopping him from being happy with you. Tsukasa’s biggest obstacle is himself.
• They hope that if they eventually beat Tsukasa in this war… maybe then he’ll allow himself to be happy with you. Maybe he’ll be allowed a happy ending with you.
• Because at the end of the day, Tsukasa is a good guy, isn’t he?
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• Tsukasa finally realizes that he loves you when it’s a little too late. He finally realizes it… but his time with you gets cut terribly short.
• At the end of the war against the Kingdom of Science, you remain by his side. You share his excitement in reviving Mirai, and you never blame him for anything that happened. You stayed by him despite everything— despite all the fighting.
• The moment he realizes that you being there is just… natural to him, he accepts that he loves you dearly. You’d stay beside him through thick and thin, you’d be an amazing role model to Mirai, and your kindness knows no end.
• He loves you and wants to protect you. If the entirety of humanity is going to be revived, he’ll protect your pure heart from any corrupt adults himself. He wants to stay by your side and love you at your best and your worst as you did for him. He wants to be your support— a quiet and safe place to retreat to.
• He just… wants to be someone that deserves the kindness you’ve shown him. He wants to be worthy of the warm love you’ve always shown. He loves you and wants to treat you in the way you deserve.
• But… his happiness is short-lived. When Mirai is revived, he tells her about his affection for you. He tells her he wants to confess— but then Hyoga fatally wounds him.
• Tsukasa realizes it’d be selfish to ask you to wait for him. When Senku chooses to freeze him, they both have no clue when he’ll be able to come back— if he’ll ever come back. Tsukasa doesn’t want you to wait for him— for the slim chance he’ll return.
• It’s then that Tsukasa decides to take it with him to the grave. If he happens to revive… if Senku somehow finds a way to petrify him… then he’ll tell you. If you still haven’t found anyone by the time he returns, he makes a promise to himself, and to Mirai, that he'll finally tell you how he feels.
• Before he’s frozen, you make a promise to him in a hushed whisper that you’ll watch over Mirai for him— that you know he’ll return one day and that you’ll be patiently waiting for him to come home.
• In those final moments before cold sleep, Tsukasa’s heart feels reassured. He should’ve realized— you’d wait for him regardless of what he said.
• Now… he just hopes he’ll be able to awaken and meet you again— to love you as you deserve.
Tumblr media
☁️ ukyo saionji ;;
him & you ~ how it starts
• Ukyo recognizes your kindness almost immediately after you’re revived and become acclimated into the Tsukasa Empire. It’s hard for him not to stick by your side— relieved that he isn’t the only one who doesn’t agree with Tsukasa’s ideology and feels some guilt toward being unable to do a thing about it.
• Being around you so much leads him to start recognizing things beyond just an alignment of morals. You’re truly kind and caring— extending that same warmth to Tsukasa and even Hyoga. You reason that they must have their own experiences that led to having such ideals— that it isn’t an excuse not to care for them.
• You have the same idea as Ukyo for different reasons. You won’t leave the Tsukasa Empire not for reasons involving power or which side might win. It’s merely because you care for the people you revived with— you care for him.
• Ukyo wants to protect that kindness— wants to keep a war from happening in hopes that it’ll save you from ever looking sad over a lost friend. But… it isn’t love.
• No, Ukyo is certain that it’s merely a desire to protect you. After all, the world needs more people like you, so he can’t risk you getting in harm’s way. That’s it. It’s nothing beyond a desire to protect, right?
• And yet, you’re the only one that Ukyo has gotten close to in the Tsukasa Empire. He keeps everyone else at a professional distance, refusing to disclose anything about himself. When he’s with you, it seems much easier to open up. He doesn’t feel like he has to hide.
• You’re the only person he goes out of his way to check in on. When he knows you had an especially busy day or had a lot on your plate, he’ll seek you out immediately when he’s relieved of his duties. He’ll comfort you when you need it and keep you company when you desire it.
• However, he refuses to call it anything but friendship. Even if he wants to be closer to you— wants to soothe the fluttering in his heart— he can’t. Because Ukyo is continuously questioning his loyalty to Tsukasa.
• If he said anything, he’s certain you’d be used against him. If you happened to want to turncoat and leave, he knows he’d be used against you. That’s the last thing he wants.
• Because if a war is waged against the Kingdom of Science, Ukyo wants to be certain that you won’t come to harm. And something like love would become a glaring weakness— one that could be fatal.
• And this world needs more people like you.
him & co. ~ another character’s reaction — ishigami senku
• When Ukyo first defects to the Kingdom of Science, Senku immediately notices a level of hesitance for him— as if something is still holding him back. Considering how adamant Ukyo is that absolutely no one dies, Senku assumes that it isn’t just fueled by his morals.
• Then, Gen mentions seeing you and Ukyo together a while ago— and Senku can immediately tell that you’re the reason he’s so adamant on a peaceful end.
• At first, Senku assumes that maybe you’re a really good friend, perhaps a sibling? However, when he’s able to hear more from Taiju and Yuzuriha’s perspective, he can immediately tell it’s romantic, even if Ukyo himself is in denial about that fact.
• In all honesty, he isn’t one to care for romance himself, but he does care about the happiness of others. He can tell Ukyo’s seriously anxious about something happening to you— and though Senku is absolutely certain he won’t let anyone die, he knows that love can be a little illogical.
• Besides, you have your own assets that Senku could utilize. If you have the trust of a man like Ukyo, he’s certain it’s because you’re a good person. He isn’t one to push anyone into confessing— he never did with Taiju— but he will do his best to accommodate, even if he sees it as senseless.
• Because Senku does know what it’s like to lose someone— what it’s like to worry and to not want to be alone. If your presence makes Ukyo a little more confident, so be it. That’s why he’s the one who suggests looping you in and bringing you to their side.
• Hearing and later seeing how comfortable Ukyo is with you by his side is enough to confirm without a doubt that Ukyo loves you. Senku remembers seeding Ukyo when he’s serious— when he’s in the zone. It’s the complete opposite of what the man is like with you.
• With you, Ukyo is softer and much more laid back— more himself, if anything. And frankly, Senku thinks it’s illogical for Ukyo to keep hiding how he feels when it’s clear you feel the same.
• Then again, he won’t push. He’s certain Ukyo will want to make a move himself. He has faith it’ll happen one day, and Ukyo will be better for it.
feelings realization ~ finally. . .
• Given how adamant Ukyo is on protecting you, it isn’t exactly shocking that he’s the one who ends up hurt during the final battle of the war against the Tsukasa Empire.
• What does shock him is just how much it affects you. Of course, you’re kindhearted and have a loving personality— but he didn’t expect you to show so much concern for him in particular. However, the moment he gets injured, you put yourself at risk to get him to safety— spending time patching his wounds before running back to the battle.
• Your bravery paired with the care and consideration you show— add on top of that his neat brush with death— all of it causes him to truly accept that he loves you. He loves you and he doesn’t want to lose you— he doesn’t want to regret the things he never said.
• When the dust finally settles— when Tsukasa is defeated, Hyoga imprisoned, and the Kingdom of Science reigns victorious— he decides to tell you how he honestly feels.
• Because you’re sure to face dangers in the future— ones he might not be there for. There may come a time where he gets hurt or otherwise incapacitated again and he won’t be able to protect you like he wants. All he wants is to be certain that, no matter what you face, you know that he loves you and is supporting you whether he’s there physically or not.
• Of course, he hesitates a bit at first. But when he starts his confession speech and hears your heart quicken— hears the way your breath hitches a bit— he knows it’s mutual and he becomes far more confident in his words.
• Finally, he can accept that he’s always loved you— that there’s no longer a reason to deny it any longer. While he knows there might come a time in the future where someone could use your love against him… he thinks the risk is worth the reward.
• Because in no world are you Ukyo’s weakness. You’re his biggest strength— and you make him strive to be better. And he’s certain that if someone tried to use you two against each other, you and him would find a way to come out on top.

I saw your ukyo headcanons and wanted to ask a ukyo x farmer reader with an onesid e love with Xeno angst 👀 love how well you write the characters
This one was a bit rough to figure out. I dunno why? But ig angst and one-sided love just aren’t a strong point for me. But! I tried! And I hope this is what you wanted, sorry if I somehow missed something. I also hope that I didn’t miss any gendered references? I tried to keep the reader gender neutral. I hope you enjoy this little ditty all the same though, and I hope Ukyo’s cute here, this one’s rough...
As the summer sun beat down on the wheat fields with no breeze to stir the heat, Ukyo Saioniji sat in the shade of a tree at the edge of the field with a cold drink to sip on and his teal eyes locked onto the figure that worked among the golden stalks in a wide-brimmed sun hat and overalls. Which, the person seemed to sense after a moment, because they stood up and waved to the archer with a bright smile on their face. Especially when he held up the thermos that he’d kept in the darkest shade for them to see. “Oh my god, you’re a life saver!” They declared as they trotted over to sit in the shade with the archer. A hand raked through your hair to sweep it out of your eyes while Ukyo tried not to get flustered at the sight of you so dissheveled and tired, or how your hand lightly brushed his as you took the cold thermos. “If you’d help me harvest too, that’d make you the best though,” You chuckled, and the pale-haired man gave his own slightly awkward chuckle. “I’d be happy to help, you’d just have to direct me. I excel at hunting, not quite so much on the farming.” “I can do that, no worries!” You crowed, your bright smile like a hit of nicotine for the archer, even as you continued with hopeful stars in your eyes. “Oh! But while I’m on a break, have you seen Xeno around at all?”
Ah. Xeno.
As much as Ukyo loved the way the speckled sunlight danced across you through the branches above the two of you, and loved the sound of your voice above everyone else’s. You didn’t return that sentiment, though. Instead, you aimed that level of adoration and infatuation at Xeno Houston Wingfield.
While Ukyo loved the way that you smiled, or how your eyes danced in the sunlight, you told him the same sorts of things about Xeno. How his dark eyes were like the depths of space, how his voice was like dark chocolate. Sharp, bitter, but with just a little bit of sweetness that you found addictive. Which, Ukyo could say the same about your voice, but if you’d realized that, you didn’t acknowledge it.
And, that was something Ukyo was fine with. It wasn’t like he blamed you, after all. He wasn’t so insecure that he would hold it against you that your tastes fell towards more dark, villainous men. He was just plain miserable. After all, no matter how mature he was, he was still human, and it still hurt to sit beneath the shade of the tree and hear you ramble and try to play off your crush with such clear embarrassment in your eyes. “I-I mean, I’m not stalking him, I’m not trying to use you to do that type of thing! I was just asking in general. I haven’t seen him these past few days, I’m just getting a bit concerned.” but, Ukyo shook his head and offered a sweet smile. “I haven’t seen him, but I heard Senku talking to him a while ago, so I assume he’s fine.” “Oh good!” You chirped, and you left it at that and changed the subject with a quickness. And, he followed your lead and eventually followed you into the field to help you harvest the rest of the wheat.
Maybe one day they’ll harvest me too. Or...pick me over Xeno. That’s what I meant. He mused to himself as he worked with you in a comfortable silence. The tall stalks of gold a good cover for the heat he felt creep onto his cheeks. Damn, how can a THOUGHT come out wrong?

Home - Kohaku x fem reader
Tumblr media
summary: (f/n)'s been traveling her whole life, no place to actually call her home. Little did she know that her one year in Japan would actually turn into thousands.
warnings: none
word count: 1.367
Author's note: Feel free to check out my Masterlists and make requests. No reposting please! Reblogging, comments and requests are always appreciated <3 If you like the story/my writing, please don't be shy to say it via comments or asks! It takes you a few seconds and might make my day. It's the best appreciation you can show to a writer you like.
-------------------
The first few seconds back in the light were actually dark.
It was so bright outside, my eyes not used to the light, that I could not see.
When I was finally able to perceive my environment I recognized a familiar face right in front of me.
“Ukyo?”, I wondered.
He explained the whole situation to me.
That humanity had been petrified and over 3000 years had passed. That they were trying to rebuild society, get back every single person that was still petrified and that they wanted to face the people behind the petrification on the moon.
They had decided to wake me up for my language skills as they were about to sail around the world to gather materials and establish societies there.
It was all a lot to take in.
Luckily they all granted me the time and space I needed while preparing for the long journey.
At some point I decided to help them out and got to know them all.
But I was still mainly talking to Ukyo. He was the only thing that had stayed from my old life. Hence he was giving me a sense of safety and stability in this new, unknown and ever changing era.
But on the ship all of that changed.
He had to be observant of our surroundings at all times, meaning that he did not have any capacity to talk to me.
Therefore I was standing alone at the railing, watching the endless blue of the sea.
“Hey”, a soft voice ripped me out of my thoughts.
I had not even noticed Kohaku approaching me.
“I think this is the first time I'm seeing you without Ukyo”, she noted.
I could not help but smile. “This obvious, huh?”
She chuckled slightly. “It's crazy to consider that you all had a life before this”, she proposed. “Life in this stone world is all we've ever known.”
“I can't imagine. It sure seems peaceful though. To live in a world where you don't have to rush all the time”, I thought out loud.
“I guess you could say that. But life's become more exciting since Senku joined us”, Kohaku proclaimed.
“That's not hard to imagine”, I declared. “You don't have any chance to get bored when he's around.”
“How do you know Ukyo?”, Kohaku questioned.
Her words took me off guard.
“We lived next doors. What a coincidence, huh? I was only supposed to stay in Japan for a year. But now it's been thousands”, I realized.
“You're not from Japan?”, Kohaku inquired shocked.
I shook my head. “I've been traveling with my parents my whole life because of their job. So I don't really have one place to call home. I figured why not continue that lifestyle. I didn't expect to end up on this ship though.”
Her eyes were glowing with awe. “You must've seen so much then”, she pointed out.
“Yeah, I guess you could say that”, I agreed.
“Can you tell me?”, she requested.
I could not help but smile at her excitement.
So for the rest of our journey I told her about my life. Well, when we did have any time for that anyway.
She also told me about hers which was almost the exact opposite.
I enjoyed listening to her and I loved the way she was intensely focused when I was telling her of places that were most likely long lost.
On a particularly stormy day out on the sea we were all rushing around to get back to safety.
I ended up dripping wet and decided to change clothes before I returned back to the deck.
“What song is that?”, Kohaku wondered, startling me to no end.
“What?”, I mumbled back.
“Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you”, she apologized, sending me a timid smile and placing her hand on my shoulder.
Her touch was making me yearn to get closer to her. But I resisted.
“No, it's fine. My head's just in the clouds sometimes”, I admitted with a chuckle.
Her smile grew into a grin for a second and then into a bright smile as she was taking her hand away.
I was missing her warmth already.
“I was just asking about the song you were singing”, she returned back to the initial topic.
“Oh, I was singing?”, I questioned.
Now she broke out into laughing. “Pretty much all the time”, she enlightened me.
I could feel the heat rushing up to my face. “I didn't even notice. Is it annoying? My parents couldn't stand my constant singing. It was driving them crazy.”
“I love your singing. Can you teach me some of the songs?”, she suggested.
“Of course”, I agreed abashed.
Now that we had talked about it, I noticed how she was often stopping in her tracks when she caught me singing.
Sometimes her eyes would close for a few seconds before she realized and got back to her work.
I started singing her favorite songs when she was around and ended up singing with her almost every day. Although she did persuade me to sing on my own most of the time.
One night we fell asleep on the deck like that. We woke up cuddled against each other, a blanket protecting us from the rash winds out here.
I wondered who had seen us like this and been considerate enough to bring us a blanket instead of leaving us or waking us up.
When Kohaku woke up as well, I could not help blushing as I was feeling her body against mine.
Meanwhile she simply smiled at me, still sleepy.
She did not make a big deal out of it. But she did get more comfortable being close to me.
She started placing her head on my shoulder or playing with my hand when I was talking to her or singing for her.
She was getting me my rations of food, so I would not have to wait in line.
I also caught her taking a glimpse at me every so often while we were working.
Nevertheless I could not actually consider that she might be having the same feelings I had.
My mind was telling me that she was only interested in me because of my life in modern civilization she had never had the chance to experience.
Yet another part of me was aware that there were way more people than just myself who could tell her about the old world.
Senku had way more knowledge. Ryusui more adventures to talk about.
And I barely knew about the lives of the other people on the ship.
“What are you thinking about?”, Kohaku inquired.
The smile on her face was making my heart flutter and my mind go numb.
“Nothing really”, I brushed it off.
She joined me at the railing, my eyes up at the stars shining above us.
Well, I was trying to look at them but the clouds were not willing to let me see them.
I could feel Kohaku's fingers brushing against mine on the railing.
“It won't be long until we arrive. I can't believe we've made it this far”, she stated.
“Okay, I can believe it because of Senku, but it's a lot to take in”, she corrected herself.
Her chuckle brought a smile to my face and before I could overthink it I took a step closer to her, our shoulders bumping softly into each other while my hand landed on hers.
“Sometimes I still can't believe that so much has changed”, I confessed. “But right now I'm glad to be standing here with you.”
Her eyes were wide as she was turning around to face me.
“Thank you for getting to know me”, I proposed.
It was hard to say it out loud and at the same time it was so easy with her.
Suddenly Kohaku closed the gap between us, her lips landing on mine.
In that moment I was sure that in this new world, I was finally going to find my home. With her.
-------------------
My first Kohaku Oneshot! I'm pretty excited about it, i dunno.
I was always thinking that I'd be bringing music into the stone world if i was there because i just can't stop singing. It's like breathing. So i at least wanted to write about it.
I hope you liked. Feel free to make suggestions for more Kohaku works.

Passenger plane
XenoStan x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
-------------------
Description: Our favorite doctor and soldier have a special day marked down on the calendar and head to the coast to see if it is genuinely the day they hope it is. A few of their coworkers tag along to see what the fuss is about.
Warnings: Mild angst, kissing, touching, maybe OOC, poly relationship, cursing, religion jokes, dark humor, slight mention of violence.
A/N: Man, this idea kept me awake, so now I'm writing this with an energy drink and a macaroon for breakfast.
Words: 1,404
-------------------
"And just where do the two of you think you're going?" Gen stops Stanley and Xeno with his line of questioning. The men in question stop way down the hall, let, letting the split-haired catch up to them.
"Out to the coast," Xeno told him curtly while Stanley sighed through his nose at Gen's noseyness.
"Without supervision?"
"You're more than welcome to join us." Xeno offered while Stanley walked ahead; Gen shrugged his arms and decided to follow. While walking to their destination, Senku, Chrome, Kohaku, and Ukyo somehow managed to tag along with a little complaint from the original two traversers of the trip. Walking along the natural path to the long coastline, Stanley continued watching the sky while Xeno conversed with his fellow scientists. Xeno took notice of his companion's subtle anxiousness and strayed away from his group to go over to the soldier.
"Hey," he started by bumping Stanley's shoulder, and he returned the gesture by grabbing the doctor's hand.
"Hey, yourself."
"She'll be there, " he told the taller man quietly, rubbing his thumb over his partner's enclosed hand. Stanley nodded while blowing out some smoke. When they arrived at the beach, the group had quieted down and was waiting for something. Finally, one of the younger members decided to break the silence.
"So, Uh, what are we here for exactly?" Chrome asked while glancing around the empty beach. Xeno and Stanley looked at each other before Xeno decided to answer his question.
"Today is an important occasion for us, " he told the boy, with nothing else to add to his unhelpful answer. Senku rolled his eyes and started walking closer to the water. Stanley went to watch the skies again, and some of the others followed suit. Ukyo perked up and looked in a specific direction.
"Another plane?"
"If we get invaded, I might just eriouslysay commit murder." Gen huffed out. A lovely white and silver plane started to descend from the clouds, lowering closer to the water and beginning to slow down as it hit the water, gliding until it was at the land. Not entirely stopped yet, the cockpit bursts open, and a person hops out of the still-landing plane, running straight toward the group. You rip off your goggles, and they crash to the ground while you're still running to the two men you haven't seen in such a long time; your eyes start to blur from the tears, but through the blurriness, from your eyes, you make out Stanley holding his arms open and outwards to you. Just a few steps away from him, you launch into his arms with a call of his and Xeno's names; he catches you in his arms, giving you a spin to balance out the rest of the motion you hit his body with. He drops you to the land, and your laughter fills the air, and pure happiness radiates off of you; when Stan lets go of you, you crush Xeno in a hug next, almost knocking him off his feet; he pets your hair and kisses your forehead affectionately.
"A dangerously elegant landing, my darling." Xeno teases while Stanley comes over to clap you on the back in agreement. You can already guess the fussing he'll give you later at how you could have potentially hurt yourself.
"Will someone explain?" Gen asks as he speaks for the rest of the speechless group. Senku and Chrome bolt over to check out the plane you had landed, much more interested in that than you.
"She went out two and a half years earlier to scout overseas for other Stone world survivors." Stanley begins to explain while you press your head against his back, taking the smell of your blonde lover in.
"We had contact with her at the start of her trip but lost contact a few months later. She told us an estimated time she would return; that was all we had left from her before all communications were gone for the next year and a half." While you move from behind Stanley, Xeno looks over the new people who joined your group in your absence. Stanley gives a half-interested introduction to everyone present; said group gives you a warm greeting, which you return equally as kind.
"And those to crack heads over there are Chrome and Senku." Stanley finishes. You all turn to look at the mentioned idiots, and your heart jumps at them, peeking inside your air-born home.
"Don't break anything!" You shout to them as you rush to the plane; the rest of the group follows. You get barraged with questions about the plane, how far you traveled, and if you met anyone else.
"I met a bunch of religious fanatics while in the north," You tell them while digging around and pulling out a battered bible as proof.
"They were going on about the 'second coming of Jesus' or something like that. They got pissed when I told them it was probably just aliens." You give Chrome the book, he flips a few pages, and his face cringes after the first few. You dig deeper through your things and pull out a few other things.
"They tried burning me too; I set them on fire first, though." You tell them proudly, getting a few horrified looks from the newer members but a nod from Stanley at you striking them first.
"Funny enough, while I was in Europe, some of the gothic architecture from our time was still in pretty good shape." You hand Senku a rock from some of the fallen pieces of the structure you mentioned.
"I also found a second version of the Silk Roads." You pull out multiple articles of clothing, jewelry, and even books. You pull out a wrapped item, hand it to Stanley, and tell him to open it later.
"Oh! There was a group of people I ran into that found out how to un-petrify people." You say with triumph, but your face screws up when no one seems all that impressed.
"Hate to break it to ya, but we already beat you to it," Senku tells you with a smirk, and your face drops.
"Nitric acid."
"Wow, so there's more than one method." Your smile returns, and everyone else drops their smiles at your statement.
"They used sodium nitrate to break the stone." You take out a stoned bird and a small vile, pour the liquid on the bird, and wait a few minutes before the cracking starts. Everyone watches as the bird flies away, small pieces of stone left in place of the once immobile bird.
-------
"We can finish discussing your miraculous adventures back at home." Xeno decides for everyone: Stanley and Ukyo help you with your bags while leaving your plane for later retrieval; Senku returns to pestering Xeno for more details on the aircraft while you stick close to Stanley and admire Xeno's newfound laxness.
You are now caught up on everything and, later in the evening, return to your shared home with your lovers; the two men sit on the shared bed, conversing quietly while watching you shoot around the room, letting yourself adjust to your home again. When finished, you come over with Xeno's gift and tell Stanley he can open his. They both open their gifts: Stanley gets a beautiful crystal knife, and Xeno gets a wonderfully crafted gramophone with a vinyl to go along with it.
"It's just a duet of a violin and a piano. Sorry, I couldn't get anything more modern." You tell him as you mess with your nails; he tilts your face upwards, caressing along your jaw before touching your foreheads together. Stanley lies backward against the pillows while doing tricks with his new weapon.
"It's pleasant, my dear, and a remarkable gift from you." He whispers to you. He sets the record up before setting it down on the side table and moves you to lay between him in Stanley. They smoosh you in close and start to pet you while the music plays in the background. You warm up from their touches, and they shift to add kisses to the mix, making you murmur shyly in response.
"You gave us such nice gifts; allow us to return the favor," Stanley whispers in your ear before biting your neck. You were immensely happy to be home with the two dear people you love the most.

Ex bf ukyo and reader who both did a mutual breakup due to the strain of long distance. However, both still are hopeless in love with one another both before and during the Stone Age. But senku isn't too happy about his sister wanting to get with her ex (lol unwilling to admit he's protective over his last family member)
Tan Lejos De Mi/So Far From Me
Pairing: Ukyo Saionji x Reader
Warnings: Angst
A/n: For maximum hurt, listen to Back To Me, No One Noticed (Extended Spanish), Nobody Knew, and Sienna by The Marias. :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Senku was a very observant individual. His eyes constantly linger and calculate the environment around him. Sometimes, he was too observant, noticing things that weren’t for him. Often, he’d go about his day and ignore what he saw.
Except when it came to you, his sister.
He freezes. The tip of the pencil snaps against the paper, the lead smudging against the white sheet. He was unsure what to do. Watching as you enter inside the home in a frenzy, hurriedly passing Senku without a glance, without a word. Your eyes are glued to the floor; you’re breathing heavy.
He was never one that is good with words, so he watches—connecting all his observations and piecing them together like a puzzle. He watches and waits. He waits for when you need him, when you’re ready for him to listen without judgment.
Tumblr media
You thought you could do it- turns out it’s easier said than done. Easier to think about but more challenging to do.
You scroll through the thread of messages. Sadly, acknowledging the harsh reality of a long-distance relationship. Your text and his replies are hours apart. The number of missed calls from him, his rare moments of free time clashing with your work schedule. Your calls are going straight to voicemail.
The sad reality of dating Ukyo. Damn him for joining the navy.
Yet you persisted 'cause you would do anything for him—anything for the man you love. You lasted longer than you thought you would…until it became too much for you to bear. Until you’re walking home one day, in tears- aching to hear his voice and missing his touch.
You enter your home in a hurry, ignoring Senku’s stare. You rush to your room as quickly as you can so that you can curl up against your blankets, to sob onto your pillows without the pitiful stares of everyone around you.
“Ukyo…” you cry out. “I’m tired of being alone…”
In your bedroom, everything was quiet besides your muffled cries. Left alone- only your despairing thoughts keeping you company. Quiet until your phone begins to feel left out. It’s ringing, feeling like it’s stabbing you, hurting you even more because you know who's calling. The one time you’re able to answer his call is when you decide it’ll be the last time.
“Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve heard your voice.” You joke, beating around the harsh truth. He laughs. Yet you can hear it; he’s guilty.
“It’s as if we don’t talk anymore…” You regret your choice of words. Yet it was the truth.
“Yeah…work in the navy can be time-consuming.” He replies, his words getting quieter near the end. “There's not much time to do anything besides work.”
You weren’t sure what to say. This is what you wanted. You wanted to hear him. Hear his voice. Listen to him. And yet, when given the chance, you freeze. It’s been so long without him that you've forgotten how to talk to him.
What do you say to someone that you love?
It was quiet, a second too long for it to no longer be insignificant.  Neither of you spoke, yet you both knew what the other wanted to say. The silence spoke for both of you.
How do you tell them…
“We need to talk…” Your voices overlap with each other, yet the exact words are said.
“I-I have the day off tomorrow,” he reveals. You didn’t have Ukyo’s knack for hearing, but it was clear to you that his heart was breaking with every word. “If that works with you…”
“That works.” You reply, your words quivering. You don’t say anything else - fear that your voice will break, and he’ll catch it.
“Love you,” he says.
“…me too.”
Tumblr media
‘Hold me’… you want to say as you pull your hand away from his.
‘Console me’…you want to beg. Tears run down your face with every step you take, walking further from him.
Then I’ll leave without a trace….
Tumblr media
It was mutual, but that doesn’t make it any better. It doesn’t help alleviate the feeling of regret inside him, but he did what he thought was best for you. Even if it meant no longer being able to call you his. Even if it meant receiving a text from Senku.
Asshole- whom he had only seen in passing.
Mutual?
He wonders if you’re hurting as much as him. He’s selfish, he knows, but he wants to see if you’re thinking of him. If your eyes are tired from crying because of him. He wants to see if you’re as miserable as him. If the pain is mutual.
Tumblr media
“Asshole” Senku spits at Ukyo.
Three thousand seven hundred years of counting and not a single second was used at the thought of forgiving Ukyo. The days you spent crying over him were enough for him to carry distaste for a man he never really met.
“I know you’re protective over your siste-“
“-I don’t like you,” Senku says straightforwardly, talking over Ukyo.  “I’m merely stepping into the role of my old man.”
“That doesn’t change my one condition. If you want my help, all I want is a moment alone with her.” Ukyo repeats, “There’s no one like her.”
Senku stays silent; his eyes are on you. Watching as a single tear flows down your face, yet you’re smiling. He shakes his head; the puzzle he's been trying to solve seems impossible to solve. Every time he thinks he’s about to complete the puzzle, the pieces begin to warp on him, forcing him to go back and try to fit the pieces together.
Love is confusing as hell. It seems like nothing but contradictions.
“Hurt her…” Senku starts second-guessing himself. Is he doing what's best for you? He’s not sure, but he’ll protect you every step of the way. “And I have a batch of Sulfurina at my disposal.”
A/N: Thank you for requesting! Hope you Enjoy!
Sorry for the wait!

Saw that you were asking for Stanley x reader requests because I need to see more of him.
So you know how Xeno is Senku’s mentor? What if Stanley was our Mentor? He mentored us similar to Senku before the Stone Age and now we’re with the kingdom of science.
Dr.Stone Stanley Snyder as your Mentor

A/N: YESSSS MY LOVE STANLEYYY
Genre: Fluff / small Angst (its dr.stone new america city, its gonna have some angst lmao)
GN!Reader.
Also, This will be Platonic, let me know if you want a more romantic approach lmao
Tumblr media
You’re originally from America and back in the old world, in your teenage years, you were a regular at a local shooting range near your school. You were very interested in the art of shooting a gun, so much so that you’re also a great FPS player. But you prefer the real deal.
One time, a competition was being held at your local shooting range, so naturally you signed up.
Your skills astounded everyone, even those who were older than you.
You naturally won the competition, and decided to stay back to get some more shots in.
That's when a guy with blonde hair stood next to you and shot all the targets with a bullseye before you could even blink.
You were shocked, and you looked up at the man
“Wha-” you stammered, impressed by this man’s marksmanship. You stared at him in awe, “I watched your game, you’re quite the natural” The man complimented, facing towards you. Oh damn, he’s pretty’ you thought, “oh.. Uhm… Thanks, it's a hobby, I guess” you answered.
“Is that so…” He trails off, “Were you the one who shot those bullseyes in a flash? How’d you do it?!” you asked excitedly, getting over your shyness. “I’m in the US Military.” He answered, shocking you. A military officer just complimented your skills? “Wait, really? That’s so cool! Thank you for serving our country!” You exclaimed.
“I’m Stanley by the way, Stanley Snyder” He introduced, “I’m Y/N L/N, nice to meet you!” you replied.  “I probably shouldn’t be doing this, but honestly, why not? Hey, want me to show you a few tips and tricks? You’ve got skills, it'd be a shame to not see them prosper.” He offered, making your eyes wide. You nod aggressively with a smile.
Whenever he had free time, he’d meet you at the range. Sometimes, he’d take you hunting or to paintball to test your improvement. He’s taught you about different guns, about how to properly feel for where the bullet will go by knowing how the wind affects it and all that other stuff.  Since then, you’ve joined lots of tournaments and won.
Unfortunately, your family had to move to Japan, and Stanley was being deployed on a mission, so your time together was up for the meantime, however, you made him promise to you that he’d keep in contact whenever he can, and he agreed.
Fast forward to Japan where you met Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha when you transferred to their school. Taiju recognized you as the famous junior marksman. You easily fit right into their small friend group.
The day of the petrification, you were in the science lab along with Senku, just playing a shooting game on your phone after Taiju barged in and did the whole Yuzuriha confession spiel, and that's when you noticed the green light.
You were revived by Tsukasa, after Minami said that your marksmanship can help with hunting, along with Ukyo’s.
As confused as you were, Taiju and Yuzuriha filled you in on everything that’s been happening, and obviously you sided with the Kingdom of Science.
Since then, your new weapon of choice has been a bow and arrow since no other projectiles were present. You aided the Kingdom with hunting for food. As well as in battle during the treasure island arc.
After the treasure island arc, Senku made you your own gun.
Background done, let’s move on to the New America City Arc.
You and your friends were just minding your business when Tsukasa asked everyone to get into cover because a plane was shooting at your boat.
Despite the initial fright, you grew excited, knowing that the big guns are back in the world, but grew scared again once you remembered that it's the enemy team that has them.
When you saw the plane flying a bit lower, you grabbed your gun and took a shot towards its engine. Hitting it and making it crash in the forest.
Now, this was your new friends’ first time seeing your gun skills since you’ve been using the bow and arrow. So they were shocked when you hit the mark.
“Y/N-chan?!” Gen screamed in shock, Yo’s eyes were bulging out, and Ryusui was laughing out loud. “Well done, marksman. That ten billion percent took out their engine” Senku exclaimed with a smirk.
After that whole incident, you, Kohaku, Chrome, and Gen were sent to pursue the plane’s pilot. However, Gen asked Kohaku and Chrome to stand back, and asked you to come with him but to leave your weapons.
You eventually found the person, with Gen going into panic, but you just stared at the man in shock.
“Stan…ley?!” You whispered, although apparently enough for him to hear and set his eyes on you, which widened at the sight of his old student. “Ah, I didn’t expect our next meeting to be like this.” He said, “you know each other?!” Gen exclaimed in surprise, “He’s my mentor.” You answered.
“Well, I'll need you two to come with me. I got a whole heap of questions. Bet you’ve got some too. So, How about you come meet our leader?” Stanley said, walking towards their base. Gen looked at you, letting you know that this mission is a now or never deal.
He brought you to their base, where you met Dr.Xeno, who you remembered from before when Stanley would tell you about his childhood best friend. After threatening Gen, he looked down at you. “And you?” he asked. “Y/N L/N, pleasure to finally meet you, Dr.Xeno.” You said in a calm voice to help with your situation once you realised that you were being read on a Polygraph test.
“Oh? That name’s quite familiar.” Xeno ponders, looking towards Stanley. “My Mentee back in the old days” Stanley answered. “Ahh, is that so. Yes, I’ve heard quite a lot about you. In that case, this will make this whole thing easier.” Xeno said, a smirk on his face.
“You of all people should know how dangerous my dear Stan is, so it will be in your best interest to comply with us.” Xeno stated, his back towards us. “Yes, I understand. Although, I haven’t been with the group for long, so I don’t think I can give you much information” You answered calmly again, as if you were stating facts.
After the whole act Gen put on, with him revealing that Dr.Taiju was the lead scientist, you were let free to go for the time being while Xeno gets ready to talk to the Kingdom of Science.
“Yow, Y/N. It’s been a while, how’re you fairing?” Stanley approached you while you were with Gen. “I’ve been better, seem’s you’ve been enjoying life here recently, yeah? I mean, I see you’ve even got machine guns.” You answered with a smile. Although he is your enemy right now, It’s still a great feeling to reunite with your childhood mentor. “Heh, I’m guessing you’re the one who shot down my plane with a single bullet to the engine?” He smirked, looking kinda proud. “So what if it was me? I learned from the best, didn’t I?” you smirked back.
“A person who blindly trusts a person who double-crosses their own people needs an appointment with a head doctor. That said, Y/N, I don’t trust you one bit, we might’ve been Mentor-mentee in the old days, but until your little kiddy science team surrenders, you’re not off the hook.” He states, a serious look in his eyes.
“I knew that much, you’ve always been a cautious person. It’s fine, I’ll just prove myself to you perhaps.” You answered, you knew he wasn’t going to be buddy buddy with you just yet. But it’s worth a shot.
“Mhmm, you do that.” Stanley replies, walking away. As you look at his back profile, you’re reminded of the same person who you’ve bonded with since your childhood. A small smile appears on your lips.
You notice the man stop before the door, looking back at you, you see a small smile of his own, with a hint of pride in his eyes, are you imagining things? Maybe, but his next words shocked you.
“I might not trust you, but that doesn't mean I'm not glad to see you again.”

cw: japanese words interspersed, please correct me politely if there are mistakes. mild angst. reader is a doctor and does not speak Japanese well.
You sit cross-legged, back straight, facing the man before you who wears many hats when it comes to your relationship, some part savior, some part overlord, some part possibly friend, and other parts undefined. For tonight, he plays the role of language instructor, and as usual, you come with a list of words mulling in your head that you want to learn to better help you communicate with your patients.
Soap. Wash. Cut. Break. Tear. Hungry. Stomachache. Tired. Lonely. Scared.
Tsukasa repeats the words to you in Japanese, then writes the words in Kanji, using the sharp edge of a rock and etching it gently into the stone floor between you. You watch him carefully every time, attempting to commit each stroke to memory. As if it matters. You don’t know when you’ll have paper, a chalkboard, a keyboard to record this writing.
Tsukasa enjoys this task he’s taken on more than you’d expect from looking at him. He doesn’t smile by default, his beautiful features kept at neutral, something which had previously made you afraid to ask too much of him, and kept your voice low and your words few, but you realize quickly that he smiles easier than you expected. The first time was at the curse you whispered sharply under your breath when you recalled the word Rabbit ( usagi ) wrong, saying Eel ( unagi ) with confidence. The second was the first time you traced your name in the katakana he wrote before you, and your eyebrows furrowed as you pressed harder to make the same marks and let out a sigh at the effort. The third was when you asked him to teach you the word for candy, and he taught you ame-chan , like he and his sister called it as children, you none the wiser as you repeated the word innocently.
It’s odd that he chooses to do this and not Ukyo, you think, but Tsukasa’s fascination with you is nothing new, present practically since the day you were freed from stone. Tsukasa’s eyes flit often from your eyes to your lips as you speak, and you wonder if he thinks of more than just the way your teeth and tongue handle these new phonemes or if he thinks of something less innocent.
Innocent is not the word you’d use to describe him anyway.
“Atama ga itai desu. I have a headache.” Tsukasa says.
You repeat after him.
There’s a pause as he writes, and when he looks up again, you’re looking carefully at him, warily. He can’t read your expression, you’re trying very hard to conceal your feelings to him, but he can see the twitch of your lips as you contemplate your next words.
He raises an eyebrow.
“Question?” he asks.
He watches you swallow saliva, bracing yourself, then nod.
“Teach me the word for kill.”
The air grows cold seemingly quickly, or perhaps it’s just him. Your facial expression flickers, and your hands rest in your lap less comfortably. He already knows that you’re asking more than just the question. You have a way of speaking indirectly to prime a conversation that intrigues him, but he’s not sure how he appreciates the tactic used on him.
“Korosu. To kill.”
The words echo through the cave for some reason, and it’s almost comical to Tsukasa, that the word he likes less and less the more he talks to you seems to be the only one that wants to bounce off the rocky walls.
You nod.
Tsukasa scribbles the word that looks out of place with ‘headache’ and ‘fish’ then looks up at you expectantly.
“Will you repeat it?” he asks.
When you open your mouth next, it’s not what he asks you to do. Instead, you ask directly and firmly, “Tsukasa, have you ever killed a person?”
His heart sinks. His first impulse is to lie, your closed lips are quivering yet again, but he knows he cannot lie to you.
“Yes.”
He writes the word ‘dead body’ on the ground before him. Your eyes still bore into his skin as you watch him.
“Who?”
The question makes bile rise in his throat.
“You don’t need to know.”
He doesn’t look at you when he says it; he has the feeling you already know. You and Yuzuriha work side by side often, practicing your stitching in case of emergency. His stomach churns at the thought of you knowing, then he remembers that he rules this empire of might, it should come with the territory.
You can’t judge him for doing what he has to.
And yet, as he watches you keep your lips pressed together, and the curl of your fingers against your palm, containing yourself, he wants so badly to tell you the opposite.
Your next question isn’t why.
“Do you regret it?”
Tsukasa’s heart skips a beat. Your eyes meet his, a small shine to them in the dim light. You sit perfectly still. The word ‘kill’ and ‘dead body’ look larger than the rest of the words he’s written tonight.
The truth is he does. The correct answer for who he is and what he means to portray is that he doesn’t. The answer he wants to give you the truth, it’s the answer you want to hear.
But right now he is your lord, not your friend.
“No,” he lies evenly. “It was necessary.”
He can see a flicker of mistrust in your eyes, and then you’re back to the same neutral face. He recognizes that mask well, he wears it often himself. Beneath both of your held expressions is an agitated pool of emotions.
You want to call him a liar but you have no proof except a micro-expression and a moment of hesitation.
Tsukasa killed Senku, his opponent, and will kill again, if necessary. Even if he smiles at you, even despite the furtive glances he thinks you don’t see, even if his voice is softer when he speaks to you, even if his hand envelops yours gently and warmly as he helps you write with the makeshift tools this sad age has to offer you.
You breathe in evenly.
“Can you say the phrase for heartache again?”
Tsukasa knows the word was headache. You don’t meet his eyes looking carefully at all the words he’s written and trying to commit them to memory.
“Kokoro ga itai desu ,” he says, anyway, and can feel the squeeze as if casting a spell on himself.
“Kokoro ga itai desu ,” you repeat. “Thank you.”
“Mm.”

I'll hold in your tide, die a thousand more times just to see you in another life.
Thirty days with him was a miracle, twenty, a generous offer, and ten is a treasured moment. Because asking for more would be akin to reaching for the stars: impossible.
ao3: love letters from the shore to the sea pairing: saionji ukyo x f! reader genre: romance, angst wc: 3.6k status: one shot
Tumblr media
Rays of the setting sun painted her face golden, shining through the strained smile painted on the canvas of her face; eyes glistening with the tears she stubbornly held by a single thread.
Her hand reached a momentary stillness as it held onto the large red oak tree like it was her lifeline, bare feet curling against the sandy ground below her.
And like the grains of white summer wonders, always awaiting the hellos of the sea and staying no matter how many goodbyes it whispered... she was the same.
"Ukyo..."
Serving as the shore for his tides to settle. To welcome him in the illusions of midnight, within the mist of daybreak, even in the phantoms of eventide. Waiting tirelessly to hear the familiar tune of rattling keys, a small stumble because he’d trip over the floorboard even when she constantly reminded him that it was sticking an inch above the rest, or even that gentle knocking on her door.
She was always there to embrace him—to welcome him home.
The hinges that held that old wooden plank would creak and reveal that all too familiar happy face that never got tired of seeing him every time he came back from the hold of the harsh, unforgiving sea.
Where did it all go wrong? Because I know... we started out alright.
Come rain or snow, the fall or the heat of summer... she waited.
Even if she knew all too well that he had no fixed schedule on when he’d be coming back especially since she knew that. Waiting was high on the list of commitments when it came to their relationship, followed by trust as a close second. Faith that he’d return to her safe and in one piece, accompanied by the hope that he’d have someone to come home to when he does.
His job was demanding, pulling him from her most of the time—if not, all the time. It paid well, albeit coming at the price of having a hundred thousand miles between them for ninety percent of the year.
Duty was high on Ukyo’s priorities; she reckons she’d be a contender for the winning spot. The military doesn’t serve time off on a silver platter or even as a side dish, most often they treat it like a five-star meal. Once, she even considered it lucky if he came home at all.
Thirty days is a miracle, twenty, a generous offer, and ten is a treasured moment. Because asking for more would be akin to reaching for the stars: impossible.
And after those seconds dwindle to a close awaits a couple thousand more hours of waiting for his return.
No matter how many meals she ate alone, nights she had to spend curled up in her own warmth, she never complained. Every morning that ended with the hopes he'd come knocking on the door. The occasional meals she'd make that were enough for two because a shift in time and space told her that it would only be a matter of time before he comes barging in holding that same duffel bag. She never complained. Not even as she decorates the Christmas tree on her own or blows out the candles with no one to cheer and greet her a happy birthday. Even as the last of the fireworks burn into oblivion and she’s left with the silence to welcome another year.
But every once in a while, when the desperation settles in and missing him was far too much for her trembling heart to handle, her mind conjures the illusion of his return.
Because as she prepared her meal for the day—enough only for a single person she would iterate—a knock resonated in the lonely apartment.
Her eyes glossed over at the thought of his presence, blood burning through every vein and artery in her body from the anticipation of his warmth, colors of the surroundings turning a shade brighter as though they were left to bathe in eternal saturation.
It was one of those days where the longing was nigh impossible to fend off that she'd drop everything she was doing just to rush and open the door, uncaring for any other thought than to see him—even just hear his name.
"Delivery for—" Yet reality found ways to test her patience endlessly.
It felt almost cruel to have her hanging by a thread, ready to snap off into despair for every reminder that he was so far out of reach.
No matter how long he kept her waiting... hoping that he'd come home, she stayed.
To her it was not a matter of time. She felt that even if Ukyo would take a hundred thousand more years to even knock at that door, she'd still be there to open it and cradle him in warmth after a long period of time being caged in that cold metal ship.
Because it seemed her love knows no bounds, capable of silencing the doubts, triumphing over the fears, forever remaining in the space domed by the fervent adoration he’d bestowed on her all those moons ago. The sleepless nights, and the pacing down the halls, and crying at the table, would fall silent when he’s standing before her—here, so close to touch with not even a single centimeter of infinity separating her from him.
He felt like a dream… a beautifully crafted dream. As though the universe was made just so he could come into being, and that he’d be able to love her as he did in this lifetime and in everything after that.
Back in the confines of the ocean, Ukyo would speak her name in whispers—unfailingly, every night, and in the breaks of first light, making sure to never forget the face waiting for him at home.
And here, in the space where she exists—not even a frequency away—was he able to feel the warmth he had longed to bask in for all those months he’d spent in the frozen depths of the cruel sea.
"Welcome home." She’d whisper so breathlessly one would think she didn’t say it at all, left to drift with the rest of the zephyr’s orchestra yet the echoes of her heart could never be misheard by him.
"I'm home."
Oh, what she wouldn’t give to hear that every day for all the eternities to come. Because with you, I feel all those things that I cannot experience alone.
With you... it always feels like home.
---
A rumble of thunder rattled the earth as lightning drew cracks in the heaven, splitting the skies open to have rain descend like stars, leaving their never-ending pitter-pattering to echo in their wake.
Though the sun hid in curtains of grey clouds, it was close to mid-day. Even so, she remained in the domain of slumber. Her form buried under oceans of blankets and islands of pillows, the tangles of her hair mirroring the seaweed scattered across the valleys and plains of the sea, yet hers were sprawled across the white sheets of the large bed. Despite the seemingly heavy weight of all the fabrics draped over her body, the life that came from her parted lips had the stray locks of her hair framing her face sway from her breaths.
The howling wind disturbed her peaceful slumber, practically screeching at her to wake up. Gray clouds continued to cry out the heavy burdens they carry, leaving all those who stood in its path drenched and cold from its tears. Lucky for her, the worst that the storm could do was scream at her through the slightly opened window.
After prying her body out of the sheets, remembering to fold everything neatly, she crossed the distance between her warm bed and the window, halting the yells of the gale.
The pane was jeweled by the droplets of rain, studding over the barrier like a momentary treasure. Her breaths left her lips in puffs of clouds, fogging the reflection of her untamed appearance.
An untimely yawn escaped from her dry lips; eyes still riddled by the spells of sleep surveying the surprisingly clean surroundings. A wave of confusion barreled straight into her because she remembers clearly that soon after she came home yesterday—there existed no spare second for tidying up.
Surely, no sane thief would clean a place after robbing it.
The sound of something sizzling and the wave of the smell of seasonings crashed onto her like a tsunami, flooding all her senses until hunger overtook her curiosity.
Her footsteps echoed in the narrow hallways, alerting anybody who was cozying up in her kitchen. Her feet had almost never walked that fast before, except maybe for when the pizza delivery guy was at the door. Beyond that, there was nothing ever really exciting to look forward to, at least… not enough for her to run like a maniac.
As she rounded the corner, her eyes were met with a strange sight.
"What are you doing?" She would ask, eyeing the man in the middle of her kitchen, hands landing firmly on both sides of her hips.
"Putting away the dishes." He’d say, sparing her a single glance and a soft smile before continuing where he left off.
"Why?" She’d raise a brow, stepping closer to where he was standing with the cupboard wide open.
Ukyo stopped for a moment, seemingly pondering on why he was doing the task in the first place—except, he stopped because he noticed that the plates were just haphazardly thrown in there without a care not because the answer to her question was difficult, on the contrary, it was anything but difficult. Yet he only looked over his shoulder and smiled.
"So you won't have to do it."
He says it so simply that it leaves no room for second-guessing. Because when he puts it like that, it’s as though no other reason could possibly exist aside from the one he spoke of.
In every curve of his lips… there lies something that shone brighter than all the stars in the sky.
As the twilight descended into the depths of the midnight sky, Ukyo traces the contours of her face. Fingers grazing the lines on her forehead, touching the valleys under her eyes, caressing the hills of her cheeks. He took them all in, carving them into the walls of his memories.
Ten days with her felt like bliss, twenty was a dream, and thirty… a miracle. But beyond that was asking for the impossible.
Cradled under all this happiness, Ukyo forgets sometimes, that it’s not for forever. Because like the hardships he endures when he’s away from her, this, too… will not last.
“Will you ever fall out of love with me?” Ukyo weaved his fingers through the tangled threads of her hair, a miniscule attempt to hide the fact that his own question pained him, left his heart shattering a little from the weight of it.
Ukyo would ask her this whenever she was subdued by the spells of slumber, never quite knowing what answer she’d give. Perhaps that’s the reason why he never wanted to ask, because he was already fearing the answer that was yet to come—an answer that would break his heart far more than the distance that slowly wedged its way between her soul and his.
Yet here, under the silver rays of the moon, did he manage to gather enough courage to ask it of her directly.
Time worked wonders; he believes. Soon enough, all this… would be memories he’d take under the depths of the sea. But heaven bear witness to what he wouldn’t give to have her for even just a second longer.
“What kind of question is that?” She laughs, caressing the frost away from his cheeks, “Of course not. That would be asking the impossible.”
When she says it like that, so ardently like she was certain that there existed no future where she did not love him, it makes it hard to believe that there would be another answer other than what she deemed was an absolute truth.
Even as she chatters mindlessly to him, shifting in the blankets he put her under, laughing so wholeheartedly it became impossible to picture her as anything but that: hopeful, shining in so much adoration that it drove away the darkness.
I love you. I love you so much… and I hate that I can’t say it enough to you. Even more so when I know that no matter how many times I do, it will never be enough.
“How may I say goodnight to you?” He whispers, his forehead kissing hers as he revels in the warmth of her presence.
“Any way you’d want…”
Ukyo tucked away the stubborn lock of hair behind her ear, gazing deeply into the depths of her irises, memorizing the lines etched on her pupils, the way her lashes would graze her cheeks in the stray moments where she blinked. I’m in love with you. He hung those reminders of her like stars, formed constellations in her glory so that he may be reminded that no matter where he went… a place exists—a time existed—where she and he lived under the same moon.
“May I?”
But for her, he didn’t even need to ask.
“You may.”
At her word, his lips blanketed hers like daylight to the earth.
And before I knew it... I was already falling deeper into the depths of my love for you. What I longed for the most... was you. The feeling of you being just around the corner. The thought that you’re just a call away. Just you, having you here… with me.
Because I've fallen in love with you, and I'll never let you go. I love you more than anyone, and I want to let you know. And if you ever wonder why, I wouldn’t know what to say and I’ll probably look stupid trying to think of an answer when I really don’t know. But I'll never stop loving you, each and every day. Whether it’d be here, yesterday, or in tomorrow… I’ll love you all the same.
Rays of the breaking dawn streamed from the opened curtains, shattering the daydreams clouding her consciousness. A warm hue colored the room, casting shadows in small, gentle strokes as the remains of the early morning dew escaped through the sun’s rays.
She shifted in her position, turning to embrace the man beside her, only to see that everything was how it was all those moons ago: cold, empty… devoid of any of his memories.
"I'm sorry, my love..."
With her heart thudding against her chest, she tossed the covers away. The freezing floor seemingly melting under the fiery panic rushing through her body, setting every organ on fire from the thought that… he left.
"I don't think I'd come knocking on your door anytime soon."
Her footfalls thundered in the narrow corridors as she frantically swung every door open to see where he’d gone, leaving no nook or cranny of the apartment unturned. Because even if the odds were against her in every little thing, just this once did she hope that this wasn’t what it looked like.
"Ukyo! Come out! This isn't funny." The stutters of her voice filled the silence, and she soon found herself pulling on her hair to ease the bubbling anxiety.
It wouldn’t matter if she had to wait twice—even thrice as long as she had to… if it meant he’d come back, that Ukyo would come home. That he’d spend even just another day here with her, an hour… even just a minute longer.
"They called, said that they'd be deploying ships... I didn't have the courage to tell you."
Realizing that no trace of his life remained in that tiny apartment, she hurriedly grabbed her coat along with some outdoor shoes before running to the elevator, pushing the down button repeatedly as if doing so would speed up the process.
"I was recruited to be one of the sonar technicians..."
The moment the doors slid open, she rushed outside and screamed—uncaring if she looked like a maniac, yelling frantically for the man she loves.
"UKYO!"
Looking like a madwoman, dressed in her pajamas with bedhead and a tear-stained face, running as though her life depended on it.
"I—have... I—don't know when the expedition will end... or if it ever will."
She didn’t know how she got there if she ran until her body begged for her to stop, if she hailed a cab and dealt with the ridiculous price that came with the season, or squeezed in with the rest of the rush hour in the shinkansen, forgetting to eat or even change into clothes that were a lot more decent—sacrificed it all just to be able to see him again, hope that he’ll change his mind, reconsider.
Even more so how she could have stomached staying rooted to where she stood, hopelessly watching as he walks with the rest of his comrades to that metal ship that would take him away from her.
"I love you, (Y/n)."
Maybe he never intended to stay in the first place. Maybe, this was not a preparation for his settlement but rather coaxing her… to let him go.
Now I understand—the reason why you acted so downhearted and yet still flawlessly played the part of the man who loved me. You... Ukyo... you were preparing me for the day when you'd no longer come knocking at my door. You wanted me not to expect... not to hope.
Was that you being nice? Was that a sliver of your empathy? Or was that the entirety of your kindness?
Did you feel sorry for me? Do you? Because you know that I would stay up late into the night waiting just for you?
Could your conscience not take the guilt of leaving the woman who was willing to drop everything and come running just to open the door for you?
And as the last of the sunset’s rays dipped under the horizon, she watched as that big piece of metal descended to the depths of the sea… taking him away for who knows how long. For a year? Two years? Five? Ten? Or was it for forever?
To think I was ready to forget everything just to be with you... I was ready to give all of me, all that I am... to you! I was here! I was always here! And still...
She no longer held his heart... maybe, she never had it in the first place.
You let me go...
Making you think that he loves you with all his heart when in reality, he never did.
Are the breaths of the ocean much more calming to hear than my own? Does the sound of the currents help you sleep better at night than when you're with me? Do the frozen chambers of that ship provide more comfort than I ever could?
You were always...
Enough.
He was enough. He was always enough—even if he threw everything away... he was enough.
I ignored the signs because I thought we could fix it. Because you made me believe that if the two of us were together, then everything would be okay. But we were drifting apart—faster than what we could have prepared for—and now, the selfish ocean holds you...
I have loved you, and I still do. But maybe after all these years, my love was never enough. Because if it was... then you wouldn't leave me all alone.
Have a safe trip, Ukyo…
But know that in the space between our first hello and our last goodbye, I will wait. I will still wait... even if the Ukyo I'm waiting for will never return. Maybe it’s foolish but it’s the only way I know right now—because I don't want to give the best part of me to somebody else... you are enough.
Ukyo... will always be enough.
---
Three thousand seven hundred fifteen years into the future, a slim young man surveyed the vicinity. The cool ocean breeze ruffled the white threads of hair that were planted on his head, his boyish features were ones that you can catch even from somewhere far away held some sort of expression that radiated nostalgia.
Green irises which were a similar shade to those of the finest emeralds reflected emotions that were quite difficult to understand. One might say he was relieved... another might suggest he was happy... or perhaps lost.
But as that familiar oak tree appeared in his line of sight, it was then that the tears started pooling.
That red tree that he'd stare at so fiercely praying and hoping that even just a second before he descends, he'd catch a glimpse of the woman he loves so dearly.
As the waves of the ocean continuously crashed against the rocky cliffside, the sound of her laughter shook his very core. The melody that only existed in the bowels of his mind and soul but still managed to force its way into his life.
With all of what was happening... how could he forget?
Fail to think of the woman he abandoned.
Oh, how the memories replayed in his mind.
Every trip to the sea. Every descent to the depths of the ocean. Every breath... every second... how could he forget?
The pain. The suffering. The endless waiting. Months of separation. Denied requests... pleas that fell deaf on ears.
How could he forget?
All those which he did to her when all she ever wanted to do was to love him.
Now, he stood before her. The body of the woman that even when turned to stone, kept waiting patiently for the day when he'd return.
"I'm home, my love."

❝ RP AD♡꒱ (09/24)
Hello all!! My name is Onyx and I am in search of a cool, swag, epic roleplay partner (who is 18+) that wants to also be friend outside of rp!! Information on lil ole me!;
I'm 20 years old
I go by she/her (cis female)
10ish+ years of roleplaying/writing under my belt
MOSTLY fast reply time (i sleep a lot :P)
Timezone: EST
-
What I write for: ʚ Fluff ʚ Angst ʚ Smut 〰 ʚ OC x CC (double ups ONLY!) ʚ B x B ʚ G x G ʚ NB x NB/G/B [✹IMPORTANT: I do my best to stay away from most yandere stuff, especially stuff dealing with S/A just because of my own personal trauma! Other than that, I can handle most of it!]
-
As mentioned earlier in my post, I want to be able to befriend my rp partner! I wanna know how you're doing, if you need to talk, ect.! I just want to be able to grow a friendship and not just a partnership for rp!! I don't bite! I roleplay ONLY ON DISCORD!!! I use to roleplay in tumblr DMs but then notifications wouldn't go through or somehow the DM read itself as opened and I hadn't opened it? It also is a struggle to talk outside of roleplay in tumblr DMs, lol! So because of this, I am a discord only gal!! ⟶ Since the roleplay will be taken place on discord, this means I will making a server so I can organize everything! Different channels include out-of-rp chat, an rp chat, a visuals chat (for outfits, hair styles, ect.), and others!! I've ran into this problem once, but made me realized I've never specified this in my last rp ad! I do a collab type roleplay! This means (in my head) I roleplay in the same rp universe your oc exists in! My oc and your oc could be friends in such universe or just have mutual friends in common, who knows! I've always rp'ed this way and honestly would like to keep it this way, it doesn't make anything confusing. One final thing before I get into fandoms; I don't really care about reply length? I do, but I don't. As long I see you're doing your best to reply, I don't mind! I understand life is busy but you need that shot of dopamine! I always do my best to match my partner's length in reply but typically I do a 1-2 paragraph (various lengths) as a reply. Starters are different though! If I am in charge of the starter, I typically write up and a little past the nitro word limit in discord. Do not fret though! You obviously do not need to match my 6+ paragraph starter, lol!
-
Fandom time!! I have a list of all my fandoms [here], but I am super into these right now and am desperately looking for a twst rp !! ☆ Twisted Wonderland ☆ Our Life: Beginnings & Always ☆ Dr. Stone ☆ Jujutsu Kaisen
For any fandoms listed above, here are the characters I'd like if you could play against my OC(s)!; ☓) Malleus Draconia or Trey Clover x Akako ☓) Idia Shroud x Alanis Briar ☓) Lilia Vanrouge x Senki (not a finished OC) - ☓) Baxter Ward or Cove Holden x Atlantis - ☓) Gen x Eden (DRST) ☓) Chrome x Cynthia (DRST) ☓) Ukyo x Anzu (DRST) - ☓) Satoru Gojo or Suguru Geto x Annamaria ☓) Ieiri Shok x Salem ☓) Megumi Fushiguro or Yuta Okkotsu x Eden ╰› Obviously !!! We do not have to use multiple OCs if you do not feel like it! I also see it as playing even-steven in a way, if you're using only one OC, I would like to only use one OC. Just so it's fair!!
✹ If you're interested PLEASE don't be afraid to message me on this account! <3

Hello Hello! I tried to find your rules, but I couldn’t so I apologize in advance if I’ve broken any! May I request some Senku headcanons or an imagine (whichever you prefer) of him and his genius! S/O post petrification. They managed to get un-petrified elsewhere and he comes across them doing their own thing in the same “I need to rebuild society” mindset as him
Nerd-synthesis-
Ngl I went off the handle w this one and it's kinda fire, I hope you don't mind that I put a wack ass twist to it. (Might have to make a part two let me know ya'll)

A Thousand Years
Senku x Gender neutral!Reader
Tumblr media
Description: When the KOS arrives in Europe for supplies for the rocket project, they find a colony that is quite far along with their advancements. When some locals take them to the colony's leader, it's the last person Senku thought he'd see.
Warnings: It's pretty tame, with a sprinkle of angst. The reader isn't introduced till later, and there is no mention of pronouns or exact gender. Slightly dialog heavy. Nameless side characters. Strays from cannon.
A/N: This one gave me so much damn trouble, please enjoy this so its at least worth all the suffering I went through for it. Also, this might be my new fav timeline for this one ngl. Let me know if ya'll want a part two, please. BTW make sure u look up what Senku's name after you read this and his birthday :^

"Orstway trip ever," Gen spoke as they set down the boarding plank to the beach. After finishing things up with the American colony, they planned to head toward Europe to finish getting supplies for the rocket; they chose their crew members and made the estimate of the trip taking two months and planned accordingly. Senku walked near Xeno and looked around the beach, looking at the lack of stone statues. Xeno looked over at him, hoping that he saw it too.
"Something's wrong," Senku said with a slight diminishment. He was hoping they wouldn't get into a fight just as they landed. They were low on food and needed to replenish supplies before they could have anything happen. Ukyo looked up and stared off. A few others saw and looked where he was staring, and then they heard children laughing. A group of what looked like grade schoolers came running up to them excitedly; they spoke English and were asking questions about the boat. An older teen came running to catch up to them, looking slightly fearful of all the foreigners. Gen and Senku made way to talk to the teen, seeing as they were close in age, and Ukyo talked and entertained the younger kids with questions. Xeno and Stanley came to join Gen to make a plan; they convinced the teen to take them to the main European colony to talk to this group leader and would leave Ryusui and a few others on the Perseus to keep watch in case things went wrong. The teen herded the kids along while guiding the group. They took notice of a few things: the clothes were pretty close to 20th-century clothing, there was a clear path from the beach to somewhere else, and it was pretty worn in, showing that it was made a while ago. The teen led them to a rustic-looking establishment and took them indoors to a Railway depot. When they were fully inside, other people were waiting in the station with them; some were reading books, and others were talking and waiting quietly.
"Apologies- but when was this colony established?" Xeno asked while taking in everything. Gen had run off to talk to other locals as subtly as possible. Senku was practically shaking with excitement at how far along the entire place was; he couldn't wait to see what the main area looked like.
"I think the founder said they broke out around 5728. AP," The teen answered with a shrug. The group all came back together with each other when they heard the loud bellow of a train horn. It was sleek, black, and a fantastic piece of machinery to behold for them.
"Ryusui-chan is gonna want this so badly when we tell him about this later." Gen teases with a grin as they board the train, walking past other seated passengers, with some staring at the start before returning to their little worlds. They all take their seats while admiring the inside of the cabin. Stanley lights a smoke, and a woman in a uniform matching the trains interior scheme comes over, opens the window and a fold-out tray where they are sitting, and sets out an ashtray for him. The group is stunned and amazed before chatting excitedly about the ordeal. Senku watches the scenery pass by them out the window; the area surrounding the train tracks still keeps the natural areas the same, and they pass by one or two towns on the way to what he hopes is a city. He sighed and rested his head against the glass; the whole ride there took about ten minutes. The announcer tells them the name of the stop, and they get off with a few other passengers; their guide tells them they must stop for a payphone to make a call quickly.
"YOU HAVE PAYPHONES!" Gen looks like he's about to cry, and Senku races to catch up with the teen, asking to see the phone as well. The kids stay with some of the group while Senku, Xeno, and the teen make the call while the latter two watch. After they make the call, they walk along the stoned and paved roads to a cafe to drop off the kids with another friend and then make their way to the council office as they've been informed all the prominent leaders are currently having a meeting. The outside of the building had a gothic architecture; when they made it inside, multiple bells lined the ceiling, with most of them sporting linning connected to a device on a far side of the building. Senku made a note to ask about that later. The teen told them to have a seat while they went inside to get the colony leader.
"How high is the possibility of us getting shot on sight?" Gen asks with a slight nervousness to him. Xeno leaned against Stanley, and Senku got up to pace a bit while observing the inside of the building.
"We have a 20 percent possibility of that happening, " the soldier answered nonchalantly, and both doctors nodded along. The doors they were waiting outside burst open, and many voices came from within the room.
"Sorry about that! Ya'll can come in now." A woman with a strong accent told while poking her head out. They all looked between themselves before shrugging and waltzing in. There was a large round table in the center of the room, a balcony above them, and a few people sitting around and arguing. Senku looked around and was starting to get weary with the lack of progress now; seeing all the advancements was nice, but he needed materials and needed them soon; eventually, a voice that he thought he would never hear again booms out from the shadows.
"We've built payphones, trains, lights, hell, even cameras! But you want to stop at the thought of creating a satellite." Such conviction in your voice made his heart clench; you walked down the steps, came to the center of the room, and slammed your hands on the table.
"I wish to explore the stars and communicate across the waters!" You said with a flourish and a wave of your black-gloved hands.
"And getting to the stars will help me accomplish that goal." It was like when he built inventions with you in the old world. He couldn't help but smile as you laid out your plan to everyone in the room and swayed them so quickly; in the end, when you held the vote, everyone agreed with you with the joy you held when you initially told them of your plans. Once the meeting was over, you had everyone leave the room; the woman that had let them in earlier had pointed them out to you; you took a double glance when you saw him and dropped everything in your hands when you saw him.
"You look older, " he tells you while skimming your appearance; the kid earlier said the time of when you had broken out, he estimated that you had to be at least nine years older than him. He walked around the table to get a closer look at you, and you backed up a bit as he approached. Your eyes started to water as you looked at him; he thought you were always more emotional than him. He raised his hand toward your face but stopped just short of it; then, you crushed him in a hug. He returned it the best he could and laughed while you cried quietly into his chest.
"Uhm- hate to break whatever this is up, but care to explain Senku-chan?" Gen butted in, and Senku sighed while still holding you, patting your back while you got out thousands of years of distance from your lover out on his lab coat.
"They're my…Hm…Fiancee." You snapped up from his chest with a surprised look.
"Congratulations." Xeno offered while you and Gen both spluttered; you were about to ask when this happened when Senku slipped off your glove and then on a metal band with a small green jewel onto your left ring finger. You were left standing there looking stupid while he told you to show them around the place. You were floating along the whole tour, still lost on how you would get married after having not seen him for over three thousand years.
"Oh, there's still a monument left from when we originally built the town when I woke up here." You perk up as you tell them and pick up your pace to show them. As you walk outside, they see other city inhabitants greet you with warm smiles and occasionally stop to give you things or to chat quickly. By the time you make it to the monument, the sun is starting to set. It's slightly off from the communal eating area for the original island settlers: a giant stone slab with names carved on it and dates beside them. The five of you look at the list of names, and Senku spots yours; his eyes trail over to the date you broke out of stone: January 4th, 5728. He reaches his hand out to it. Gen looks over at the date, and his eyes widen at the year.
"That means you should be forty years old.." The four of them look over at you.
"They don't look forty, closer to twenty, thirty the most," Xeno says as he holds his face while looking at your features.
"After the second time I was turned to stone, I stopped aging." You answer with a shrug; they all look at you slightly horrifiedly. You wave them off and lead them back to the town hall.
"We should probably call the Perseus to restock on supplies." Senku interjects as you lead them.
"Let's go to the communication room, then; the payphones might not connect to your frequency, " you tell them with a happy clap of your hands. You lead them to a large room with vintage communication systems and lead them over to a girl who looks older, taller, and closer in appearance to you. You introduce her as your sister and tell her to communicate with their ship. Xeno helps her find the frequency, and the device crackles to life; you hand Senku and Xeno a headset, grab one for yourself, and start to speak.
"This is the city of Thousand Skies hailing the Perseus; do you copy?" There's silence on the other end before a calm voice answers.
"This is Perseus we copy." You smile at Senku and let him take over; he breaks down the situation, and you can hear some cheering in the background.
"We'll send out a group to help move you guys to the city and take the Perseus to the docks closer to the city so we can load it up with supplies." You sent out a few groups with some cars with good carrying capacity, as the train would have taken too long and stopped running due to the late hour. You head to the meal hall and ask for the chefs to prepare for a party; while you wait, the four that came with you initially sit, and you bring over some drinks for them all. You sit beside your soon-to-be husband and start fussing over his clothes a bit; when you finish, you look at his face and sigh while running your hands over the petrification marks that were left permanently. He grabs your hand with the ring on it while watching you, moving closer you glance at his lips, and before the two of you can kiss,
"Damn, is this how you felt with me and Xeno, Gen?" You cover your mouth with your hand while Senku glares at your onlookers. They cackle amongst themselves while teasing Senku some more. You lay your head on his shoulder instead, and the rest of his crew burst into the hall; they start to take seats at all the tables, and the one you heard over the mic sits with your group along with a loud blonde and Senku's childhood friends. You haven't felt this at home in a long time; his friends excitedly tell you tales of their adventures worldwide, and you end up sharing yours with them the hall calming down to listen. When you finish your story, Taiju raises a toast in your honor, and everyone shouts their 'cheers' for you. Eventually, when everyone is distracted, you share your long-awaited kiss with Senku; it was worth waiting all those years for it.
"OH MY GOD, THEY'RE KISSING!" Senku holds his head in his hands, and you can't help but laugh.

I’m really into your magical girl dcst au is there any chance it’s on Ao3 or has some kind of writing form? I’d love to read it if there is one!
Sadly not at this point in time. I’ve been planning to start working on a comic for the AU for quite some time now but I haven’t gotten the chance to get started properly.
I do have a plot lots of lore planed out as well as certain rough ideas for chapters. The main constraint is time.🥲
Honestly I’m debating on just maybe dropping the first chapters in fanfic form before I start grinding away at the comic or even just write some oneshots shots.
I’m just a bit insecure bout writing since I’ve only written things for myself and never posted anything. But better late than never I guess. ^^
Regardless if you are really curious I am happy to share the drafts explains the magic system though be warned it may spoil certain plot points for you (if my busy ass ever gets that far with the AU LMAO)
SPOILER WARNING ✨
DRAFT FOR THE DCST MAGICAL AU BELOW
(Warning this is still a WIP so it is extremely chaotic and maybe inconsistent I’m still figuring out the lore)
TW!!! Mention of death
Starting off every magical girl show has some kind of transformation object (Eccept for like Winx) Madoka magica has Gemstones, miraculous has all kinds of jewelry and precure has pretty much everything from makeup pallets and perfumes to phones. I debated for a while but it’s hard to find something that represents every character well so I settled on crystals in shapes that represent each character somehow.
There are two stages to the crystals 1. The raw stage after just obtaining one 2. The refined version in a shape that takes the form of something associated with said character. (For example: Senku -Rocket, Gen - Nighshade, Ukyo - Soundwaves)
Now I needed a way for the characters to obtain said power. In madoka magica the magic is obtained by making a wish and becoming a magical girl as a way to return the favor, which basically means the character makes the choice to become a magical girl. This is where I wanted the AU to differentiate from that. I kind of don’t feel like someone of the character would willingly become magical girls/boys. So don’t want them to have a choice basically forcing them in to something they were not ready for (angst potential go brrr). So how does one become a magical girl/boy then?
By dying
When a person is on deaths door but still clings to life with every they have. Maybe they still haven’t achieved their dream (Senkus dream of going to space) or maybe there is a loved one they want to protect with all they’ve got (Tsukasa wanting to protect Mirai). It differs for each person but there is one thing they have in common. They have an unbeatable desire and determination to live on no matter what. When someone is still fighting till their very last breath fate grants them another chance at life.
And they are revived by a crystal that is now bonded to their soul and body aka it’s now the only thing that keeps them alive.
Why some people get revived and some don’t or who chooses when someone is revived, that’s for Senku and his crew to figure out.✨
(PS there is a second part of this draft if you’re interested let me know)
