It's interesting SPOP's idea for the Horde Prime wanting to gain (the power over) the Heart of Etheria, is seemingly inspired by Horde Prime wanting to do the same with Eternia's core (the Heart of Eternia - the Starseed?) in UK - Masters of the Universe Adventure magazine.
The Heart of Etrernia, as a concept, also appeared (and seems to have first appeared) in the sixth MOTU Newspaper Comic Strip, and seems to be the same as the Starseed in concept, even being described as the source of all magic.
The terminology of e as a synonym or equivalent of the Starseed, was also used by both MOTUC and DC comics.
It's also curious the way to the Heart of Etheria even way based on the one in the comic (to the Heart of Eternia), but cybernetic, instead of the organic look of the route to it.

I think I figured out Horde Prime's design in the UK comic - the artists and/or writers thought Hordak was a fish-man, due to the fin on his head, and interpreting his ears as fin-ears.
And making Horde Prime of the (fish-like) Hordian species (and maybe or maybe not Hordak's brother, depending on comic), also made him as such, but gave him catfish-like traits.
Some modern artists also saw Hordak as fish-like, rather than chiropteran, like @skeletorboyfriend (pretty awesome) take on Hordak:
Another very good take on the concept by magi on pixiv:
“I’ve never seen Horde Prime look so powerful… so confident!”
“… so much like a catfish wearing sticks of dynamite!”
(UK He-Man and She-Ra comic, Nov 1986)
