How do you think the V3 cast would feel about their pregame selves if they were in the same room with them? (mainly Shuichi because at the least the fans gave him a personality. Like...I don't know if it's canon, but it's something to work with)

I know pretty much nothing about the pregame characters.

Cept Kaede.

Soo... These are all my headcannons.

Kaede: Creeped out, is just like "I wouldn't say that."

I feel like Pre Kaede just teases her for being "soft and pathetic."

Mimics what she says in a high pitched squeaky voice.

Shuichi: Both just stare uncomfortably for a while.

Before Pre Shuichi, noticing Shuichi's hair, straightens up and asks if his pitch to take out Kaede worked.

Shuichi, horrified shoots all that down that he would never.

Pre Shuichi just rolls his eyes like "God your lame, it's just a game man. And now, I'm the star of it."

Shuichi just slowly shakes his head and leaves to find his friends.

Kaito: Pre game Kaito is cocky, loud and even more boisterous than Kaito.

Keeps asking what their earnings are but Kaito doesn't know what he's saying.

It's a bit off putting but they appear to get along.

Kokichi: Pre game Kokichi is a nerd about the show.

Kokichi is slowly getting answers out of his more serious counterpart.

Both keep talking about how cool Monokuma is...

And everyone's thinking of ways to seperate em.

Kirumi: Pre game Kirumi just kinda looks at Kirumi like dirt. Just ugh they made me the maid?

Kirumi smiled politely... And murderously.

Gonta: Both cinnamon rolls, both gentleman.

Pre is more articulate but they are both bonding.

Miu: The opposite of Kaede, Pre Miu is a sweetheart so she's getting teased by Miu for being "a soft prude with no tits."

Korekiyo: Pre instantly quizzes him on various topics in anthropology.

But, I’d be a bad Headmistress if I didn’t educate my precious audience, so I’ll give you the scoop on this sensual situation:

As the name suggests, it’s up to every player here to survive on Jabberwock Island up until November 1st! Seems easy enough, yeah? Weeeeeell, it won’t be!! Because thanks to a certain genius bimbo we got some actual stakes here!!!

See, Jabberwock Island is INFESTED with ghouls!!!!!!

Naming conventions aside, these will be your main foes they must outwit and outrun, for they have quite the taste for flesh~ Now, should also note, they don’t really want to eat your brains or skin off…but, they are into another sort of ‘flesh tasting’~

Yeah, since this is Miu, she pretty much created absolute sex ghouls that look hawt as Hell (gotta emphasis no rot, just gray skin, white eyes, with curvy-ass to hunky bodies here) and want nothing more than to fuck the players sideways!! Though, there is a catch to this. See, it wouldn’t be a good undead apocalypse if there wasn’t a way for the ghouls to increase their numbers, right?~

Basically any player who winds up being fucked silly by these guys will become a ghoul themselves, becoming a member of the horny horde~ Completely unable to think of anything but fucking the next person they see!!! Puhuhuhuhhuhu!!!

Also, don’t worry your little heads about whether or not your faves will be like that forever if caught or even if we snatched them against their wills. We’ve made sure that not only is everyone aware they’ll be fixed up in a jiffy afterwards, but all have signed on…….mostly since the thought of being chased, trying to avoid falling into temptation and being fucking railed by a hot ass monster does hold an immense appeal to these freaky lot~

Hello, welcome to the new event for the Halloween Season!!!! I was inspired to try my hand at it thanks to the great @ghostsbest and their own zombie survival game last year for their Fangan blog @sdranothersmut.

In this case, it’s pretty much all the muses of PlainDangan trying to rough it out. Following in Ghost’s set-up, they have 4 ‘chances’ to so to speak before a ghoul could get to them and turn them into apart of the horny dead~ If you’re also wondering

As the asker, you can decide how a muse eventually winds up in the situation they’re in, though whether or not that results in loss of ‘armor’ depends on the whims of the die (and, occasionally, if I just find it fitting. Mostly dice and I would tell you otherwise XD)

In this case:

Roll 1-2: Muse keeps the armor

Roll 3-4: Muse loses 1 armor

Roll 5-6: Muse loses 2 armor

Likewise, of if the muse has no armor than 3 and above is gonna be wraps for them~

Which brings us to the other aspect of this game…for now~

Muse Zombies! Muses Zombies are stronger than normal zombies, dealing 2 armor loss on a 3-4 roll, and 3 armor loss on a 5-6 roll. At least, in terms of encounters they are neutral against.

Depending on who gets turned, they might do better or worse against certain Muses than others. For example, a Ghoul Akane, might do really well against a weaker muse…but someone of the same strength as her or greater could be able to repel her better.

In this case, for types I feel would have the advantage, they need to hit a 1-2 to escape, as 3-4 now becomes 3 armor loss and 5-6 is 4 straight. Which, depending on how a muse is currently with their armor, could mean another one joins the horde~ This system also works vice-versa, with the defending muse being in a better position as the encounter would become just a regular zombie encounter.

Can have asks with up to 4 muses in them. When that happens, who loses out and who gains will be determined by a bit of randomization as well, in addition to taking in what the scenario wants.

Kiyotaka Week Day 3: AU. Mastermind Ishimaru AU. Unedited, mostly

It's rather late in the night and Taka is doing the old, familiar dance of speaking to Izuru inside of his dorm room. It's just that this time, it's through one of the Monokumas instead of with the communicator.

"I really have to say, Kamukura-kun, this was an excellent first day as Monokuma. I'm quite proud of your performance! I was actually pretty worried when you didn't want me to know what you were going to do for Monokuma, but your performance was actually very well-actuated! I’m very proud of you, Kamukura-kun!” Taka says as he changes into his sleep clothes.

Izuru rolls his eyes behind the monitors, mostly focused on putting together the assets for the first Monokuma theater. He knows that Taka is proud of him, it’s nothing at all new for anything that Izuru does. It’s not like Izuru has to bother putting on the act here.

“It’s nothing. So, what do you expect will happen next?” Izuru says as Taka brushes his hair and teeth.

Taka spits out the toothpaste after he’s done thoroughly scrubbing his mouth. “Considering that I know the others quite well, I doubt they will start any sort of murder anytime soon. But this first murder does have to happen within the week.” After all, the news cycle already has a million other things to focus on outside of updates about these children trapped inside of a school with a murderous robot bear, even with a 24-hour live feed. If he wants to keep the attention of the media, he better have it clear that this is not some sick joke by a cultist but the real deal.

Izuru nods as he integrates the background music in the Monokuma Theater. “Motive or do we force the issue?”

Taka weighs his options. Just forcing the issue through some form of blackmail would be easy, but it wouldn’t send the message that he wants to send. No need to make a point about inherent human desperation when the first deaths happened because it was literally forced onto them. On the other hand, someone does have to be dead by the end of the week, and if they wait around, they may genuinely be waiting forever. And Izuru sure is not going to wait forever for his promised entertainment.

“How about this? If a murder doesn’t happen within the next 3 days, you can use one of the motives. If someone doesn’t get murdered after that, then we can start forcing the issue! Would that be acceptable?” Taka asks as he makes his nightly final rounds before he heads to bed.

“Can do!” Monokuma cheerily salutes Taka. Izuru’s working with the audio equipment. You have to make sure that the voice sounds the same in the Theater as it does in the live feed, or at least similar enough. “So, who do you want to bring in for plan B? Maybe your favorite thug?”

Taka turns bright red and chastizes Monokuma. “Mondo is not a thug!”

“So you’re *not* denying that he’s your favorite? I thought that you were supposed to be “impartial and fair”, Ishimaru-kun?” Ugh, Taka can already feel his face get redder and the headache start growing. Why does he even bother with these arguments? He never wins them anyway. Monokuma continues as if Taka didn’t interrupt him. “How about Oogami? She’s big and strong, and pretty much would have to listen to whatever we say if it has something to with our hostages.”

“Oogami-kun is a good choice, but I doubt that the dojo would be good enough collateral.” A centuries-old family dojo is all well and good, incredibly important, and almost a holy ground for Sakura. But the fact that it was burned down in an arsonist’s blaze (unrelated to the Ultimate Despair) about 6 months ago and all the members have been scattered to the winds in the refugee crisis is a bit of a snag on the effectiveness.

“Not that run-down old dojo, dummy! I meant her little boyfriend. Well, little compared to her right now, anyhow.” That actually draws Taka’s attention from organizing his papers.

“I thought that Kenshiro-kun was terminally ill with a severe cancer diagnosis?” Frankly, with the collapse of medical services, he should’ve died a while ago.

“Nope! He’s still kicking somehow! Ain’t the world’s strongest man for nothing, the weirdo! Gwahahahahaha!” Monokuma laughs at his hilarious “joke”. “He’s actually the one we got in custody right now!”

Well, that certainly makes things much easier for everyone. Provable collateral and if there’s anything about Sakura that he knows, she would do literally anything to protect her loved ones. Even kill or die for them.

“Well, that’s perfect! You can contact her as soon as possible, correct? Maybe make some implications that we can keep him alive as well, to really sell it.” Taka wants this to be locked down by the time that he wakes up, after all. "And after that, please get some sleep! A healthy mind and body start with proper rest!"

"Fine, fine. I gotta go now, since she's just done meditating. Buh-bye!" And with that, Monokuma disappears again.

The light on the camera in his dorm room comes back on, Izuru must be focused somewhere else and done with the conversation for the night. Well now, it’s off to dreamland for Taka! He would be a hypocrite if he didn't get his rest now! And with that, he shuts off the lights and drifts off to sleep.

We've seen signs that Zetsubou's security system is only partially up and running. If it was fully up and running, we would have to deal with LOTS more oppression, like soldiers, Monokumas, and full assaults of machine fire.

But the only traps that are activating on the way to the exit are the one's that just so happen to near us. Like the door and the machine cannon. If they did anymore, it'd waste the limited power they have.

It's happened too many times now. There's no way it's happening by chance, or just a bug, or an accident. Someone is setting those traps on purpose.

Exactly. We know Zetsubou are onto us, but too much of this doesn't make sense...

Today I offer you my “shrinking motive” (popular motive for these types of stories ik), featuring tiny Kaede and Shuichi and giant Rantaro! Enjoy~

In two days, EVERY student here will die! Puhuhuhuhu!

“Everyone will die… no… it won’t end like this!” Kaede whimpered. On top of the shrinking motive, now every student was going to die. And at a measly 4 inches, there was nothing the pianist could do. She was stuck. Utterly stuck. Kaede curled up into a little ball and cried into her knees.

At least everything was set up before I was shrunk.

“Akamatsu-san?”

Kaede turned around. Out of the eight participants shrunk, Shuichi was amongst them. At least Kaede still had him.

The detective extended his hand to her and helped her off the floor. Kaede wiped her tears and put a smile over her face. “H-hi… Shuichi.”

“This motive is truly unfathomable. I can’t even begin to imagine why Monokuma would want us like this.”

“What happens if… we don’t make it?” Kaede asked.

“Don’t say that. We’ll find a way to get back to normal and stop the mastermind.”

Kaede nodded her head. “Right. I think this whole shrinking thing’s just got me all worked up. We should probably find a way to return to our normal height.”

“We also need someone to take care of us,” Shuichi added. “But who to trust…?”

I can’t stay with someone for too long. It’ll totally throw off all my plans! Kaede thought. But Shuichi will find it suspicious if we separate…

“Well it can’t be Gonta. As much as he’s a sweetheart, he might accidentally crush us if he isn’t looking,” Kaede mused.

“Kaito is definitely too rough to be able to handle shrunken students,” Shuichi stated.

“No way in hell am I trusting Korekiyo. He seems like the type of guy who would torture us just to see how we’d react.” Both teens shivered.

“How about Kirumi?” Shuichi asked.

“She’s probably too busy helping others…” Kaede trailed off. “She’d be our safest bet, but she’s definitely too far to reach.”

“Tsumugi?”

“No.”

“Fine then, what about Himiko?”

“She’ll be with Tenko, and if we go to Tenko, she’ll only take me and not you. You know how she is with boys.”

“We’re forgetting someone,” Shuichi tilted his cap downwards on his head.

“Yeah, you forgot about me.”

The pair of shrunken friends hadn’t realized it, but someone had been watching them the entire time. Kaede and Shuichi turned and saw Rantaro kneeling on one knee, his arm supporting his weight by resting on his leg. His grassy green eyes were wide with concern.

“A-ahh! A-Amami-kun, how… how much of that conversation did you hear?” Kaede asked, backing away.

“I heard everything,” the green haired boy replied. “If you guys are trying to hide, you aren’t doin’ a very good job of it.”

“Wait! Amami-kun?!” Shuichi yelled up, cupping his hands around his mouth, “can you keep us safe?!”

“You mean like… protection?” Rantaro asked, tilting his head. His hair fell over his face like blowing leaves.

“Yes!”

The giant squinted. “How do I know you two aren’t planning to kill me when I’m not looking?”

“Ugh, HOW will we do that?! Look at us! We’re 4 inches tall!” Kaede yelled up at him.

Rantaro sighed, his breath smelling of minty tea. The shrunken pair was nearly blown away.

“Fair point,” the green haired boy rumbled. He rubbed the back of his neck in annoyance, but extended a palm out to them. “Get on.”

“You… won’t hurt us, right?” Kaede asked. At the end of her statement, she mumbled, “it’d be pretty easy to get away with two kills right now…”

“Kaede!” Shuichi hissed through gritted teeth. The pianist inched away, silencing herself before hesitantly reaching out for the hand in front of her. Rantaro waited there patiently, his eyes twinkling.

“You gonna trust me?”

Kaede looked up at him and gently stepped into his hand. His palm was warm to the touch, his rings shining in the faint light. Shuichi did the same and grabbed her hand to reassure her.

“We’ll trust you.”

Rantaro began to move. Kaede held onto his finger - which could flatten her easily - as the giant brought them up to eye level.

“You guys really are small… gosh, I couldn’t even imagine bein’ all the way down there,” Rantaro mused.

Shuichi shuffled a bit. He was clearly uncomfortable. Kaede took note of this and looked ahead. “Hey; Amami-kun?! Can you do us a favor?!”

“Hmm? What’s that?” Rantaro asked, his voice deep and imposing. It was like that of a deep abyssal echo.

“Can you take us to your room for now?! I think we just need a minute to process everything!”

“Alright,” the giant answered. “Hang on tight, you two.”

Ultimate Cuteness Reader - Ultra Despair Girls Edition (Story Mode) Part One

New parts every Saturday! Wow, look at me, setting a schedule…

Now joined by Toko Fukawa and Komaru Naegi, you continued your journey.

Komaru remembered a very large bridge that you could use to escape Towa City. Together, you ventured inside a busted-up hotel and solved a Monokuma Kid’s riddle before leaving on the opposite side and heading towards the bridge.

Before crossing, you heard a voice.

“Hey! You three!”

A young boy with messy brown hair and a blue jacket rushed towards you. He seemed bubbly and bouncy, happy to finally see some normal people.

He noticed the bands on you and Komaru’s wrists, and was relieved to see that he wasn’t alone.

Not that it was a good thing, but it was reassuring.

He introduced himself as Yuta Asahina, causing Toko to jolt in shock. You thought for a moment before turning to her.

“Asahina? Wasn’t there an Asahina in your class, Toko?” You asked. She groaned.

“Ugh, yeah… That idiot swimmer girl.” She muttered.

While Komaru and Yuta were talking, the former mentioned that you had a wristband too, and waved you over to them.

You walked to them, and Komaru took hold of your wrist to show it to him.

The fact that one more person was stuck in the Warriors of Hopes’ game was disturbing, but Yuta noticed something else.

“Woah… You’re adorable,” he muttered in awe. Komaru beamed.

“I know, right?? They literally went to Hope’s Peak as the Ultimate Cuteness!” She said, making you blush.

“Y-Yeah, it’s true. I’m (Name) (Last Name). Nice to meet you.” You smiled shyly.

Yuta grinned. “Nice to meet you! You’re so cute!” This made your blush deepen, and you heard Toko groan in the background.

“S-Seriously? Do you get this everywhere?”

After that, the four of you started crossing the bridge. Yuta rushed ahead of you, forcing you, Toko and Komaru to try and catch up with him.

You made it to the end, only to find that the rest of the bridge had collapsed. Then you were forced to scramble back to the other side when the bridge started falling apart due to the Monokuma Kids’ meddling.

Then Yuta started pumping himself up, preparing to swim to the other side. Which was naturally met with skepticism and shock from the two girls.

“Swimming… Wasn’t that Asahina’s talent? The one from Hope’s Peak?” You asked Toko.

“Y-Yeah… I wouldn’t be surprised if he could swim too.” Yuta rubbed the back of his neck with a shy smile.

“Well, track and field is more my specialty, but I can do it. It’s not that I’m bad, it’s just that there was always someone better.”

You and Toko exchanged a look.

“But even so, the other side looks so far away,” Komaru protested.

“Yeah, that looks pretty tiring,” Yuta said.

“But the water is freezing, and with all the pollution, there are weird creatures in there…” Toko said.

“Then I guess I’ll be extra careful,” Yuta responded. Toko walked over to him.

“No, it’s not that! I’m telling you not to try it, you idiot swimmer! D-Don’t be a hero!”

What she said made you remember your time at Hope’s Peak. Even if you were in a different class, you overheard several instances where she called one of her classmates an “idiot swimmer.”

“Idiot swimmer…? But I’m on the track team!” Yuta protested.

“Anyway! This isn’t the time to rush into things. Let’s think this out.” Toko insisted.

“I’m honored that you worry about me, but I’ve already made up my mind.” Yuta responded, only irritating Toko further.

“S-So you’re just going to refuse to listen to reason?!” She called out.

“Look, all I have to do is ask for help from those Future Foundation guys once I get across, right? I’ll bring back help, I promise! So just wait for me until then, okay?”

“Assuming they actually help you…” You muttered, but your voice was muffled by your plush rabbit, which you held in front of your face.

With that, Yuta started walking to the end of the bridge. With one more warning from Komaru, he dived into the water and began swimming rapidly to the other side. Komaru cheered him on while Toko watched him anxiously and you were intrigued. 

Suddenly, a huge explosion went off, and the water that erupted from the ocean began pouring back onto the ground. Once it finally stopped, Yuta was nowhere to be seen.

The three of you stood in shock. Komaru wanted to go back in and save him, but Toko shot the idea down. 

Yuta was dead. Nobody could survive after something like that.

The realization sunk in, and Komaru fell to the ground in tears. After that, she saw no hope in continuing.

Toko, clearly irritated and not sure of what to do, tried to motivate her with a small speech. Even though it took a couple of tries, Komaru stood back up. With no more options, she swore to keep going. For Yuta’s sake as well.

Then Toko presented another way of escape: the subway. The trains were likely down, but they could walk across the train tracks and escape that way.

With a new hope in mind, although small, Komaru was ready to continue. 

Then she looked over at you. You hadn’t said anything yet, and she was concerned.

“(Name)? Are you okay?” She slowly approached you.

“He’s g-gone… He’s dead… S-So that’s wh-what happens when we t-try to leave this place…?”

Your hands began shaking, and you fell to your knees, holding your plush rabbit in front of your face as the tears fell down.

“It’s not fair! We should have had more time! We only just met, and now he’s dead! It’s not fair it’s not fair it’s not FAIR!” You wailed, seemingly a mixture of despair and rage. A childish tantrum, but somehow it was understandable. 

“Oh no no! It’s okay!” Komaru exclaimed, rushing over to comfort you. Toko sighed in irritation.

“Oh come on! Now I have to deal with t-two blubbering morons?”

Komaru held you close to her and rubbed your back lightly while you cried into her chest. She swore she saw your bunny’s head move as you held it in front of your face, but she brushed it off. 

“It’s okay, it’s okay… Yuta might not be with us anymore, but there’s still a chance of escape. There’s still hope!” Komaru tried to cheer you up. You looked up at her with a red, tear-stained face.

“Hope…?” Your voice was weak and barely heard. Komaru grinned and nodded.

“Yeah! There’s a subway we can use to escape.” She tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “So try to keep your chin up, okay? You’re too cute to be crying like this.” 

You wiped your tears and nodded. Komaru helped you to your feet. Then she knelt down, picked up your bunny and handed it back to you with a smile.

“Here you go!” You took it from her with a small smile of your own. “Thanks…”

Komaru gently held your shoulders as you walked back to Toko.

“Ugh… Now what am I supposed to say to that i-idiot swimmer girl?” She seemed genuinely concerned for how she would react, but it passed when she noticed you two there. 

“Took you long enough! I was about to leave without you…”

“Sorry…” Komaru smiled sheepishly.

“Geez, how did you g-go from crying and pathetic to all warm and cuddly? You make no sense…”

“Anyway, we’ve found another way to escape, so let’s get going. (Name), are you okay now?” 

You sniffled and nodded. “Yeah.”

Komaru smiled. “Great! Let’s get out of here together, okay?” You nodded in agreement.

“And you too, Toko.” Toko said nothing.

With that, the three of you left the bridge and headed to search for the underground subway.

Curious: what are your general thoughts on the mainline Danganronpa games (Trigger Happy Havoc, Goodbye Despair, Ultra Despair Girls, Killing Harmony)? Like which one’s your favorite/least favorite, etc?

Ooh fun!! I do have lots of thoughts. I guess I’ll do them in order of fave to least fave. Under a readmore because I had too much to say

SDR2 - BRILLIANT, absolute pinnacle. I think the main reason sdr2 works so well is that it understands most players will be returning from THH so it ramps the tension up to 11 right from the get go by revealing that everyone has lost memories straight away. Most of the murders are really cool, trial 5 is the best one in the series, obvz. The island setting is nice too, it’s very different from the first game but not in a way that is too jarring. Oh and the cast is the best I think. Obviously I have issues with Hanamura but they have the sense to kill him straight away so no biggie. My only other character issue is that I really wish they did more with Owari, she’s kind of nothing and that’s sad. Also tragic that Saionji didn’t get her character arc :(( OH AN TSUMIKI NEEDS TO NOT FALL OVER SO MUCH THATS STUPID

Komaeda is there and he is the most interesting and coolest character ever. +100000000 points

UDG: okay okay, controversial for me to put it so high I KNOW. It’s got so so so many problems and yet….it compels me. I love Komaru, she is my favourite protag and I always liked Fukawa, so it’s nice to see her sort of come into her own and get to be a bit of a hero. UM THE MUSIC IS THE BEST. I like when it goes YEAH YEAH YEAH. I also actually really like the setting of Towa city? It’s cool to see the effects the tragedy had on the world as a whole, and it’s fun to explore. Gameplay is messy, but I don’t hate it, I have played much worse.

I had a lot of issues with the warriors of Hope in general and do wish they stuck with the initial plan of having the remnants of despair be the boss fights. Sigggghhhhhh, so upset that it was taken from us. That would have been the COOLEST.

Wish the tickle machine wasn’t in it. Wish the pedophile was dead. Wish Kotoko didn’t fall down so much. Wish Fukawa toned it down with the incest jokes.

THH: THE OG MY BELOVED. I have a lot lot lot of nostalgia for this one, it’s very soft to me, I feel like I grew up in hopes peak lol. For serious though, Hopes peak is a cool af setting, it’s such a weird school and the art direction is absolutely stunning. I mentioned in a previous ask that it’s probably a bit too slow going, but it’s fair because this really was the first game of its kind and they have to tell you how to play it.

The reACT mechanic is funny and useless. I am glad they got rid of it, but it makes me laugh when I see it.

I love all the characters, they are like children to me. I even like Yamada, it’s the truth. I think they majority of characters are more toned down in this game, which is to its benefit I would say. Some characters in later games are a Bit Much.

I also like all the motives! They actually make sense??? And it’s the only game where Monokuma doesn’t cheat with a, “kill before arbitrary time limit or everyone dies” which is the worst motive and I hate it.

The Fujisaki problem is very present, unfortunately. I still don’t think they were meaning to be offensive anyway, but ya know. I’m pretty chill with any interpretation, but I usually consider them a transwoman

V3 : Hm. I do not like. The school is very very big and so easy to get lost in, where the first two games feel very distinct and easily navigable. It’s also not much different than Hope’s Peak, which is a little boring.

I want to punt the Monokubs into a volcano. V3 feels even slower and longer than THH and I blame them. They talk so much and so often and it never progresses anything and UGH.

I’m iffy on way more characters. Like I mentioned before they can be a Bit Much. I’m meaning your Tenkos and Mius. They have One thing, and that’s all they do and are, which is uninteresting and ANNOYING. It feels like so many of them have been boiled down to one trait, even characters I like such as Tsumugi and Himiko are like that, but their trait is less loud so it doesn’t annoy me so much.

Motives are stupid and dumb almost always. Hate them. Fucking necronomicon makes me want to chew glass.

The protag switch is cool. I like it, but I miss Kaede every single day.

The ending I do not like. It would be a whole five more paragraphs for me to explain my issues in full, but it sort of betrays it’s own messaging and renders the rest of the game meaningless (at least in my opinion)

Cospox makes me want to die

The music and UI are very good though!!

Rp event: controlled squidling (intro is quite long)

Layla was lying around in her house, bored and confused on what she should do. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door “hm? Who’s that?” She walked over and opened the door. no one was there but there was a box on the floor

“whats this? I-I didn’t remember buying anything…” she opened up the box to find some headphones. “they look pretty cool? I don’t know if I should put them on…” something was urging her to put them on anyways. “ugh… I might as well put them on I guess…” Layla picked up the headphones and put them on. Suddenly, something was different. The headphones were… vibrating? on the inside? But how? It must of been a special gift to stimulate her ears due to her love for ear rubs. “woah… What’s happening?” she questioned, noticing that the headphones were glowing up.

Something hit the young inkling immediately, something like brainwaves. The headphones were brainwashing her! “s-stop! I-I don’t want to be controlled! N-no!” Layla cried out, trying hard to stop the brainwaves. Suddenly, she stopped resisting and started behaving different. “I will obey the octarian order… no matter what it takes, I will lead them to victory. A new life, a life where everyone is under my deep control!” She left her home and to Cephalopon HQ. soon enough, Layla finally encountered DJ Octavio. “ah! Agent four… your finally here! Do you like the headphones?” the octopus DJ asked Layla. “I don’t like them… I LOVE them! I wanna keep them forever!” The young inkling replied, chuckling a bit.

“I thought so. You shall now be a part of the octarian order. your going to get their faces remixed! Understand?” Octavio asked. “I will! I have been waiting for this! But… will I get something from this?” Layla replied. “Hm… well we could get you some blood… you are a vampire right?” Octavio asked, Layla nodding excitedly. “mhm! Mhm! I really like it!”

“Okay! We shall show them who’s in control!” DJ Octavio laughed, followed in by fours laughing.

Some octolings entered “Octavio sir! We finished her clothes!” an octoling smiled “it will look really good on her!” Another octoling added. “That’s magnificent! Show her to the dressing room so she can try it on.” Octavio ordered “yes sir!” The octolings shouted out in unison, leading the inkling to the dressing rooms and showing her a cubicle she could dress up in. Once Layla finished getting her new dress on, she giggled happily to herself. She got out of the cubicle, the octolings clapping happily. “Okay, now that I’m part of your team now, we shall wait for someone to fall into our trap…” Layla started laughing as well as the octolings.

I have been replaying Sdr2 after 4 years and am falling in love with Mahiru all over again. So I decided to write for her. I love Mahiru so much. She's so pretty. I hope you enjoy this request fill Anon!

You get accused of murder but don’t worry your girlfriend comes to your rescue (ft. Mahiru Koizumi)

Another murder means another trial. The ultimate nurse Mikan Tsumiki had just been murdered. And now you all must find out who did it.

“Mikan’s body was found at the market at 9:15 am. And the Monokuma file states that she was only dead for around an hour. The only one’s here that don’t have an alibi for that time are Kazuichi and [Name].” Hearing your name caused you to freeze up. You were like a deer caught in headlights. You had to think of a way to defend yourself. Before you could come to your own defense a loud scoff was heard in the trial room.

“Jeez Hajime! Do you have a brain up there? To think that my partner would kill someone is absolutely insane.” Mahiru glared at him and spoke with a firm tone. Mahiru had been with you since the beginning of this school killing trip. You were there for her when she needed someone the most and she’ll be struck down before someone even thinks of accusing you.

“Yeah you pansy! Anyone that big sis Mahiru says is innocent is! You think they’d dirty their hands murdering some trashy nasty pig!?” While Hiyoko wasn’t outwardly fond of you she knew how much Mahiru cared for you.

Things were getting heated. This trial was not moving in your favor as the accusations were still on you. It was only a matter of time before Monokuma got bored and declared voting time. Mahiru was saying anything she could to drive the attention away from you. She couldn’t stand the thought of you being executed. No! There’s no way you did this. She just has to convince everyone. ‘Think Mahiru, what could they have been doing at such an early time….That’s it!’

“Hey! The body was found at 9:15 and she was killed at 8:15. There’s no way [Name] could have committed this muder because they were asleep!” The trial room goes silent as everyone looks at Mahiru. That’s it? That’s her testimony? An unsteady Kazuichi breaks the silence.

“H-how do you know they were huh? And why would you wait this long to bring that up?”

“Ugh do I have to spell it out for you? You’d think a mechanic would have some more smarts. Think back to every breakfast meeting we’ve had. Every time we’d have to wait because I’d have to go wake them up. They don’t wake up by themselves until well after noon.”

While Mahiru’s constant interrupting was annoying, Hajime knew their lives were on the line so he took a minute to evaluate the case once more. “Alright let’s say that they were in fact asleep at the time of the murder. Then that would lead us to Kazuichi.” And once again Hajime is interrupted, not by a scoff like last time but with a scream.

“AHH! W-What do you mean me? Yeah I don’t have an alibi but we’re really gonna just believe Mahiru on this? What if she’s their accomplice on this huh? How do we know that she’s not in on this?”

“.....Actually….I can attest to Mahiru’s proof. I meant to speak up before but I was collecting my thoughts. You guys remember that I was lounging at the pool with Akane around the time of the murder? I would have noticed if they had left their cottage to head for the market.” Chiaki states in a sluggish manner. Mahiru lets out a breath she did not know she was holding. She was forever in Chiaki’s debt. “However….I did see one person leave the hotel. It was Kazuichi. This was at about 7:45am and came back at about 9:00am according to my console’s time.” And with that your name was cleared. Though you guys still had to find the blackened.

All eyes were on Kazuichi. Some angrier than the others. Mahiru was absolutely furious. The fact that someone would even think about accusing and framing you for a murder was despicable.

“Hm. 7:45am? That would give Kazuichi around an hour to commit the murder and clean up. With how sloppy the clean up was I would say that it’s plausible. And I guess it would add up that the murder weapon was a wrench.”

“C-c-come on! You calling me sloppy?! Anyone could have grabbed a wrench and hit her over the head! It’s just a big coincidence!” Kazuichi was falling apart at the seams. He was grasping at straws to prove his innocence.

“I’m sorry, Kazuichi but there are too many clues pointing towards you to be a coincidence.”

And with that final statement voting time began. It was a majority vote for Kazuchi except for one against Mahiru. Seeing this tipped Mahiru over the edge. She thought that getting executed would be enough of a punishment. But doing something as petty as voting for her sent her into a rage.

“You’re really childish for voting for me. I thought you were a man. Just because you got caught trying to frame my partner means that you can be upset at us?” Mahiru was about to dig even further into the newly revealed blacked. However a hand on her shoulder ceased her scolding. Looking over she sees you giving her a solemn look.

“Mahiru, that's enough. Let’s just leave him be.” A feeling of pain hits her all at once. She not only almost lost your life but her own as well. She gives the crying mechanic one last glare before turning away. He doesn’t deserve her time. She doesn’t turn around for the rest of the discussion nor for Kazuichi’s execution. She couldn’t let everyone see the tears welling up in her eyes.

Mahiru didn’t say anything towards you after the execution. She didn’t say anything on the elevator ride up either. Though she was standing noticeably closer on the silent ride. She even walks you to your cabin. While you expected her to depart as you said goodbye to her, Mahiru guides you in. Once she shuts the door she brings you into a tight embrace. She begins to cry into your shoulder. “I….I was so scared. They’re all idiots for not trusting me right away.” She can’t speak anymore as her words are drowned out by her pained cries.

You sit her down on your bed and try to pull her away from the hug. Mahiru just holds you tighter. “Mahiru. Honey, I’m just going to get you some tissues to clean your face.” Even after you explained yourself Mahiru’s iron grip does not ease up.

“I don’t care about that!....I just need you with me right now.” With that you join Mahiru on the bed. Soothing her comes easy as she drifts off to sleep. You look at her tear streaked face and feel pained. She does so much for you. You just hope for when the time comes you can repay her back.

Also, I maaaaay have just woke up but this is like the most amazing thing ever like, ahem. I will now be ranting in the most excited way I can right now sooooo...

Makoto looks so fucking adorable and cheeky, Byakuya looks dumpy as hell in that Monokuma costume. No wonder he hates it. Monokuma looks like he wants to throw some paws at Byakuya a bit cus "This is meant to be fun, damn it!" and Byakuya is refusing to cooperate like the usual. And Kyoko looks cute too! Like, she's just vibing while the other two are being idiots in the background. While also holding wine? Is she planning on doing something with it? GASP! Kyoko! Getting crunk in a Monokuma costume?! Plastered?! Wasted?! How scandalous! But, also, the more I look at her, the goofier it gets cus like, Monokuma holds wine and since she's holding wine, or who knows. Maybe it's freaking grape concentrate. But like, since SHE'S holding it, it's channeling some major "cosplayer trying to be lore accurate with their cosplay via props and stuff" energy and that is freaking adorable. Like, look gang! She's just trying to accurately depict Monokuma to the fullest of extent's she can. Also, I swear! Makoto looks like such a dork here! Like, that is the grin of a goober right there! In the flesh. If my allegiances weren't to the tall, rich one, I'd be internally cooing more. That's mostly a joke! Mostly cus I AM still cooing at Makoto and like, all of them a bit cus they all look so dorky together. Like, as much as Kyoko's pretty chill here like, one cannot ignore the fact that they're in that Monokuma drippage. ... Why did I have to call it that? But yeah, they're in the Monokuma costumes and one can only look so flattering and cool before one is either dousing themselves in irony, jokes, playfulness, and grumpy energy to cope. Well, if they ARE coping. It's funny to look at it at that lens though even if Makoto and Kyoko do not give "smile through the pain" energy at all. Like, those two look like they're finding some good in this experience. Byakuya's a big NO though. Like NOPE! Another thing to note is that I find it funny though that this is legit not their first time doing this promotional art wise cus of the fact that there have been some other promotional art of the students dressed as Monokuma via costumes. And a part of my brain now wants to make an AU where Monokuma forces the THH cast to dress up in costumes of himself to promote stuff. Like "Upuhuhu! You guys gotta get in the cosplays now or no dinner for you!" I mean, in the school mode, he had them mining. They were mining. Not like, actually but it's not above Monokuma to literally send the guys to work in the mines

Also, the more I think about it, Byakuya's slender long-legged body type did NOT save him here. Like, he looks even goofier BECAUSE he's a long, tall business man.

Like, I've gotten off and on topic so much and even I'M disoriented. But yeah. Uh... Dang it grandpa! You're a franchise! (insert disgruntled grandpa noises here)

maybe this is just my kinnie speaking but i think a lot about the way that shuichi and maki interact with kaito. let me take an interaction from the talent development plan as an example.

just rewatching this interaction made me pretty mad again FLKJDSLKFJ i love training trio and i freaking love their relationship, but god, the way that maki and shuichi treat kaito here just drives me absolutely crazy, so let’s break it down.

i think maki is the more egregious offender here (because shuichi is a simp with manners) but throughout the interaction she’s very dismissive towards kaito, asking why he brought them out there (when shuichi says it’s something they do a lot) and then saying he was useless when he went with them to the novoselic, and saying he didn’t need to go along at all. but up until here shuichi does defend kaito a bit, even if it’s in a bit of a patronisng way (remarking that kaito “does this a lot” but “isn’t it fun” and remarking that kaito’s use on the novoselic mission was to invite maki).

and then kaito says that when he goes to space, he wants to see if he can see shuichi and maki from up there, which is a really sweet sentiment, albeit unrealistic. maki shuts him down pretty fast saying he couldn’t see them from that far, and shuichi says that he might be able to see the general region, and then kaito says that he’d like to take them up to space, and THIS is the thing that really frustrates me.

kaito loves shuichi and maki. romantically, platonically, however you’d like to describe it, it’s obvious that he cares about them a LOT. i mean, he tries to convince kaede to become an astronaut too in his ftes with her, but you could argue that kaito was trying to convince her to go to space because he really respects her (as indicated by the way kaito was the only one to consistently stand up for kaede through chapter one, and the way he was willing to fight the exisals to keep monokuma from executing her, and the way he was crying after she got executed... also he asks her for hugs a lot and it’s really cute kaito you simp ilu) so again, it shows, kaito says he wants to take people to space because he loves them. space is what kaito has always been most passionate about. it’s his longest standing goal and something he wants to share with the most important people in his life.

obviously he’s being unrealistic here!! but maki and shuichi have been friends with kaito for three years by now, and they should be used to it-- they are used to it, actually, as shown by maki’s response-- but maki’s response is mean!!! it’s mean. kaito shared a sweet sentiment about wanting to share his most treasured thing with them and maki responded by calling him stupid-- which, if you remember, kaito really doesn’t like being called!!! i’d go grab screenshots, but i don’t want to go sit and watch trials until i can find it, but often when kaito is called an idiot he responds by yelling that he’s not, and that he doesn’t like being called that. i know with maki a lot of it is just banter, but still, the utter disregard for kaito’s feelings just because he’s a hahaha positive himbo man hee hee hoo hoo is... ugh. it happens a LOT throughout the game and it’s really upsetting to me.

and then shuichi’s response is what really upsets me. i know it’s just meant as a tease, but let’s think about everything that kaito has done for shuichi and maki for a moment, here. sure, his practical abilities might not be on par with theirs. he’s not a detective and he’s not an assassin, so he can’t solve murders or fight off danger, but his EQ is INCREDIBLY high. he saw maki and shuichi, and he saw that they were struggling, and he decided to take them under his wing and help them to grow. he didn’t have to do that!!! he didn’t owe them anything. maki and shuichi could’ve grown at their own paces, of course, i believe in them, but a large part of their becoming more comfortable with who they are was owed to kaito’s help and love and guidance that he showed them over the years.

so the implication that kaito, an ASTRONAUT, would need them to go to space to save him, is utterly ridiculous. and mean!! it’s really mean. it implies that kaito is useless without them, that he needs them to go up there to save him (like they’re always saving him or whatever, which i find really stupid because there are absolutely no tdp events where they help him even SLIGHTLY) when he’s literally been training to be an astronaut and go to space for the last three years!!! it’s his special interest, and it’s so invalidating, to take kaito wanting to share that with them and imply that he’s useless at it, and that he needs assistance that they’ve never offered him because of it.

and maki’s response is really gross to me too, like kaito doesn’t have any other friends, which is totally stupid. i’m sure kaede would jump to his aid if he needed her, and gonta, and any other members of their class-- i mean, kaito is a nice guy!!! he helps people!!! it was easy to rally everyone in chapter five to save kaito because he was inspiring them!!! kokichi took him because if he didn’t, kaito would be there making everyone want to keep going. maki saying that implies that kaito is so annoying that they’re the only ones who would put up with him, that they’re these two skilled people who are just there because they pity him-- which isn’t true at all, i mean they’re totally talented but ALSO i know for a FACT that maki and shuichi really appreciate kaito, so why don’t they just act like it??

actually, i have thoughts on the reason why they behave that way. it’s something that happens a lot when you get comfortable with people. kaito projects confidence, this really strong, self-satisfied demeanour. it’s clear (or at least it seems to be clear) that he has a lot of self respect. so the teasing, to maki and shuichi, feels harmless, because kaito has high self esteem, he can take it. besides, he clearly has an inflated ego, right? so he needs them to take him down a peg.

except that’s not true, and you can tell that kaito has low self esteem because of what happens in chapter four. all throughout that chapter people rag on kaito, calling him an idiot, saying he’s useless during trials, saying shuichi is the only smart one. kokichi calls him an idiot and antagonises him over and over and over and shuichi NEVER sticks up for him, never once sticks his neck out and says “hey, i really appreciate kaito, and i need you to stop talking bad about him”. instead he just lets kaito fend everyone off alone, and of course maki doesn’t stick up for him either. that’s part of what fuels kaito’s turn on shuichi in chapter five. sure, you could argue that it was about gonta-- but shuichi also turned the tables on kaede, who kaito showed more consistent affection/respect towards, and he didn’t hate shuichi for that. no, the problem was that shuichi was getting all the credit and appreciation from everybody (which was fine!!! he led the trials) and kaito was getting dumped on over and over and over and shuichi was just letting it happen, soaking in all the admiration and letting kaito be called useless.

and i mean, that’d be hard for anyone, being called stupid over and over, getting forcefully logged out of the simulation twice, once by your own sidekick who didn’t even bother asking you permission first, but it’s clear to me that kaito feels inadequate, especially as compared to shuichi, who is so intelligent and composed. kaito projects outwards, he puts on this big grin and calls himself a hero, and that must stem from a place of insecurity. there’s no way that someone who gave himself a dorky title like luminary of the stars is super secure in himself and his relationships. 

there’s another reason why maki and shuichi probably treat kaito that way, and that’s because when you respect and appreciate someone that much, and you struggle expressing it, struggle with vulnerability, it becomes... hard to express. maki hasn’t been close to someone like she’s close to kaito for as long as she remembers. she’s never had a freaking nickname before, i mean, her life is really sad. clearly some of the teasing comes from a place of love, of “i respect and admire you so much, you helped me come out of my shell, idk what i would’ve done without you” and not knowing how to express it. i’ve been there. we’ve all been there. when you love a person but don’t know how to say it, sometimes you just end up playfully ragging on them.

and that’s fine, if it’s two-sided. banter has to be mutual, it has to be something that everyone is enjoying and is comfortable with. you choose things that they’re not sensitive about, that they’re fine with you taking the piss out of them over-- that they take the piss out of themself over. but let’s think about kaito for a minute here, and whether this is really banter.

1. does kaito ever jokingly call himself an idiot? does he ever say he’s useless, or he needs people to save him, or he’s dumb? how does he react when other people do it to him? even when maki calls him a dumbass ingame he gets upset about it, but then he brushes it off, because genuinely being hurt over something like that requires vulnerability and kaito doesn’t really DO vulnerability lmao

2. how does kaito respond? does he tease them back? i think if this was a case of healthy banter, kaito would’ve gone with a jab of his own, like, “haha, you two are hilarious, you know you love me” sorta thing, and then moved on to talk about the moon like he does in his next line. he doesn’t, though, and you never really see kaito making fun of those two. he calls maki a coward in chapter three, but he’s just being honest with her, being blunt about her weaknesses to help her grow. kaito doesn’t sugar coat things, doesn’t hold your hand and walk you through your problems. he’s a tough love sort of guy and that doesn’t work for everyone but it does really work for shuichi and maki, to the point where both of them become pretty confident in themselves, owed at least in part to the way that kaito guided them through becoming the people they wanted to be. but he doesn’t really tease them, never calls shuichi out on wearing his hat (he doesn’t even notice it) and never makes fun of maki for being an assassin/having a kill count/whatever stuff they’re insecure about. of course he doesn’t! kaito is a good friend.

i think it’s important to mention here that kaito does respond with lighthearted indignation before he brushes it off, but i just don’t feel like this is healthy, two-sided banter. you see maki and shuichi acting dismissive of kaito a lot, despite everything that he does for them. he puts up with it, but if anything that just shows to me more how everything in the relationship flows one way. all the care, love, and respect goes from kaito to shuichi and maki. he takes care of them, he helps them, he doesn’t mock them. in return they tease him (even if their intentions are good!!!) and don’t ever really push him to open up, nor do they stand up for him when people put him down, nor do they particularly try and get him to be honest with his emotions. take chapter four, for example, after kokichi punches kaito and he doubles over, coughing up blood. maki and shuichi just buy that it’s a cold when kaito says that, they don’t push, even though they’re both clearly skeptical. respecting boundaries is important, but you NEED to push sometimes, you need to make people open up, because in that case kaito was literally dying, and he had to spend the rest of his life putting up a front.

i mean, even when he was dying he was holding back the urge to cough, acting brave and strong, putting on a hero face so that the two of them could go on to defeat the mastermind and focus on things that mattered. not on him.

i love training trio, i think these three work so well together and they can bring out each other’s strengths and weaknesses, but i just think that shuichi and maki do NOT treat kaito well, and unless he opens up and communicates about it, it’s going to lead to building resentments and an increased lowering of kaito’s self esteem. maybe this wasn’t intentional on the part of the game, but if it wasn’t, clearly it just shows that dr is incapable of writing healthy friendships. i’d love to write a character study someday about these guys, where kaito talks about his feelings and maki and shuichi realise they treat him like crap, but until then i guess i’ll just sit here and scream about it.

*In another section of the lab, Monotaro and Monophanie boot up the call to Zetsubou’s headquarters.

O-Ok Monophanie...You tell Shirogane that we failed to kill Akamatsu with the Exisal’s, and I’ll tell her that Monodam betrayed us and is working with her now.

Who’s gonna tell her that Monosuke was killed by her and that Monokid’s Exisal has been compromised...!?

Uuuuuh...I dunno...Scissors Paper Rock for it?

How are we going to do that!? We don’t have fingers!

Ugh! It’s starting!

What is it? Whatever news you’ve brought forward had better be good.

L-Like we said...! We thought Monodam had killed Akamatsu, but then he apparently started speaking against Zetsubou’s ideals, so Monosuke was forced to shut him down!

But Akamatsu saved him, and now Monodam is fighting on her side! The AI she’s with also compromised Monokid’s Exisal, so now she’s got two Exisal’s and her super spear, against just the two of us!

AI huh? I think they might be referring to Sora on that one.

Sora, huh? That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.

*The other members of Organization Zetsubou actually sit with Tsumugi as she talks to the Monokubs, sans Celeste, Nagito and Mikihiko.

Ugh! MORONS! Why did I ever think I could rely on you for any of this!

Narumi’s battle-hungry antics aside, I gotta agree. The problem isn’t that Akamatsu isn’t a threat, because she’s proven that she very much is.

It’s just...she seems to be a relatively minor one compared to the likes of Sakura Ogami, Hajime Hinata and Kuripa Kurafto, which we’ve also had to contend with. And yet right now, she seems to be everybody’s priority.

Correction: She’s not everybody’s priority. But she automatically becomes everyone’s focus because she’s solely Shirogane’s priority.

What do you even plan to do, Tsumugi? If the Kubs are a bust, are you just gonna drop a ton of Monokuma’s on the lab and call it a day?

“A Ton of Monokuma’s” in terms of power, are equivalent to that of one Exisal. Akamatsu has already proven she’s capable of taking them down, AND she has two at her disposal. It won’t be of much use.

So what’s the plan?

The plan is I’m going to send someone I ACTUALLY can trust into the lab to eliminate her and her little battalion she’s got accompanying her, not to mention I’ll have to slaughter that traitorous Monokub too.

What confuses me is that we do not even know Shirogane’s motive. She’s obviously completely serious about wanting to kill Kaede Akamatsu, but isn’t telling anyone, not even us, why she desires such a thing?

Like I was saying, Akamatsu’s not nearly dangerous enough, so even if Mugimu thought she would be a problem later, I don’t really get it.

So the real question is...What is she so afraid of?
