1. Explain, not necessarily a criticism, but a nitpick that you have for whatever reason. oh i LOVE to nitpick <333333 i really fucking hate that the sinners cant leave pride. thats literally the dumbest shit ever. guys, that would SOLVE THE OVERPOPULATION PROBLEM????? exterminations straight up would not be necessary (or at least could be way less frequent) if the sinners could travel. some other little things.......i hate that mammon is the only sin that acts like a sin. the REASON lust and gluttony are considered ""deadly sins"" isnt to say 'sex is bad' or 'eating any more than you need is bad', its about how you partake. lust is a sin when you use sex for your own gain, and disrespect others boundaries. gluttony is a sin when you overindulge, taking from the needy and hoarding what you need. bee is an alright character and i LOVE ozze, but why do they care about being respectful???? theyre not really sins if they only show the good aspects of a sin right?????????????????? whats sinful about how ozzie partakes in sex. OH OH OH ALSO. VEGA WAS CAST OUT OF HEAVEN FOR SPARING A CANNIBAL CHILD. A HELLBORN SPECIES. 2. What's your favorite and least favorite design in either show? for helluva boss, i gotta give "best design" to striker. i am incredibly biased because hes one of the only characters i like im choosing to ignore western energy and oops but i really like it!!!! its simple, effective, and i think that really lends to the twist in harvest moon. like, yea, this cowboy might be evil, or he could just be a cowboy. for WORST hb design its Bee. no question or context whatsoever. her colors are so fucking bad. for hazbin.....i think my favorite design is probably mimzy!!!! again, real simple, but conveys 'flapper' super well. this is honestly not saying much bc i really dont LOVE her design but i like the trim on the chest a lot and her palette isnt totally eyebleeding. rosies is also pretty good!!! i also like missi's but im a little biased towards the scenecore look JHKLSDFHJK as for worst design.......ugh i might have to give it to val. it makes me so fucking angry. WHEN HE OPENS HIS WINGS HIS DESGN IS GREAT. THE GOLD, THE BELT, THE OPEN SHIRT. BUT THEYRE ALWAYS CLOSED INTO AN UGLY ASS ROBE THAT MAKES NO SENSE. also alastor sucks but thats a given im not even gonna mention it

3. What character do you think has the most wasted potential? Why? ok this isnt really an answer but......every female character. all of them. i am not exaggerating. vega's angel twist couldve been so good but was so stupid. she has no character traits other than "charlies overprotective girlfriend". the exact same thing is true for millie. most of the mom characters die or are bitches. stella is the worst example of this as there is nothing to her at ALL other than evil (earlier i was watching some of the early eps and you can see so many photographs in the bg of her, stolas, and via looking like a happy couple. whered that go). charlie is the princess of fucking hell and yet is completely and totally useless and is worlds biggest pushover. velvet is usually ignored in favor of the 2 male vees, even in (or even ESPECIALLY in) fanworks. why is nifty like that. also honorary male character: PENTIOUSSSS PENTIOUS PENTIOUS PENTIOUS. SO FUCKING WASTED. it genuinely makes me so fucking angry that HE got the redemption when he HAD NO ARC. NONE. HE DID NOTHING WORTHY. BUT THEY HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO GIVE HIM SOMETHING AND JUST?? CHOSE NOT TO??

4. What are some aspects of the shows you actually enjoy? .....uhhh..... JHKSDLFHJKLSDFHSDJKL im blanking. honestly im not sure why i enjoy watching them so much. maybe i like them mostly to riff on??? but there was a time where i did enjoy both?? i think i just like watching the little ""arcs"" play out, even if theyre executed horribly. i might come back to this one to think of a better answer

5. What's a redesign from the crit community that you enjoy? i dont think ive ever seen an alastor design thats WORSE than the og. every single one ever is an improvement

What's a ship you hate and why? oh. so many. if were talking canon ships, i fucking HATE stolitz. absolutely awful no redeeming qualities ever which SUCKS because i totally think you COULD MAKE IT WORK AND THEY CHOSE NOT TO. its weird slimey fetish bait and i hate it and it totally ruins any stolas development for me bc i just despise him. i also really hate cherrisnake. i think they coulda made it work? but also it was a ship i didnt like even before it was canon, so the awful execution just left a bad taste in my mouth. as for noncanon ships, i hate all alastor ships, but radioapple has a special spot in hell imo. idk why it fills me with so much rage JKLSDFHJKSDHJKL other than that, most canon ships are boring and i dont care about them ether way

7. What's a ship you enjoy? BLITZKER SWEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!! fuck that random bot for taking the blitzker user in 2012 i should be me!!!!!!!!!!!! blitz x striker is so real to me. if viv wants toxic yaoi in her shows so goddamn badly at least make it COMPELLING. cowboyfriends are SO compelling. to me. i also do like fizzmodeus, theyre pretty cute!!!! uhhh. some others i like are polyvees, one-sided radiostatic, zestmilla, mammon x adam, anddd.....i think with some SERIOUS re-writing, huskerdust could work. weve done a great job of it in our fix-verse so far 😎

8. If you had to rewrite a ship in canon - which one and how? ALL OF THEM. LET ME SAVE THIS SHOW. stolitz and huskerdust are the big ones though......for stolitz, i would get rid of their little quid pro quo deal. i know a lot of critics hate it, but i think you could make the "childhood friends" thing work, if, as adults, they rekindled that friendship first. no weird sex deals/manipulation on EITHER end. let them bond over something else. with huskerdust, i also think it could work if husk didnt start really getting interested/involved with him until AFTER angel did some healing. husk shoudlnt have to be the one to fucking save him, he should give angel a wake up call so he knows hes continuing the cycle of abuse. i think maybe after angel makes amends for all the sexual harassment, THEN they could become friends. THEN they could become lovers.

"blitz is gonna take stolas giving him the crystal as a sign that stolas DOESNT like him, and hes gonna feel all betrayed and sad and hurt. im not mad about this because i think its stupid, im mad because i KNOW its stupid, and i KNOW its gonna be what happens". also i think adam is gonna come back as a sinner but so many people have said that one first

Asker gives you a ship to rate and give your perspective on. again you didnt give me one so i asked you over discord and you said BLITZKER!!!!!!!!!! i love these stupidass cowboyfriends 9/10!!!!!!!!!!!! i could literally talk about them all day. their relationship is like, the only thing that stays semi-consistent in western energy in oops so thats all those eps have going for them. but i LOVED their energy in harvest moon. striker seems so pleasantly surprised to find someone about at his skill level!!!!! blitz is the ONLY one who can make sex jokes around him, and have striker NOT be mad at him for it!!!!!! you could argue hes just manipulating blitz SURE but i like to think there is at least some attraction there. calling him "bossman" is just gay as hell IM SORRY. losing points just because. i hate harvest moon and oops striker i HATE HIM I HATE HIM. I really hate that one of the first things people talk about when it comes to lgbtq+ topics is bringing up sexual topics, it's uncomfy, espcially considering there is so much more to our identities than that, some of us choose not to do those things, for some of us that has nothing to do with our identity as a queer person (like being trans and nonbinary). The OM characters are all not straight and not cis, people need to stop making it about who they will and won't have sex with and more about their identities as queer characters.

yeah mmhmm yeah. like sex is something important to a lot of us considering how demonized (heh) gay sex/trans sex (because our happiness and love is demonized and denied, etc etc) and like im not gonna act like celebrating sex acts between lgbt ppl isnt something that can and should be done (yay pride yahooo) BUT ur so right that our identities are soooooo much more than that and we have been equally dehumanized as dirty sex hounds like thats a perception that contributed to a gay genocide. when gilbert baker designed the rainbow flag in 78, sex as a concept was just one stripe! weve always been represented by harmony, healing, spirit, etc. love, in short. and its just...ugh frustrating to see people lean back into HEY MAYBE THEY CAN HAVE GAY SEGGS XD ISNT THAT FUN but yeah being gay is so much more than that and dont even get me started on being trans. i kind of lost the beat with this response but its like 3am anyway i like this ask muah muah much love

Managed to finally get to watch the Gorgeous Ambassador episode that @ride6artblog told me about yesterday! It was really annoying, there were these popup ads when you viewed the page on mobile but not pc, so i had to download it on a library computer and then transfer it over to my phone. Cant wait til i get my internet fixed!

Anyway it turns out this is actually only a five minute skit at the end of a bigger episode, so i'm surprised it added so much backstory and worldbuilding to this character in such a short time!

Plot of the episode starts off with Nate complaining that the girls in school are doing this trend of putting cute stickers on smartphones and bedazzling pencils and stuff. Because i guess he's just one of those weird jerks who thinks that other people having fun is somehow his business?

Like the anime is usually a lot more Gender Roles Cliches Time compared to the games. biggest example being how Katie was changed to fit the love interest role vs how she acts as the love interest in the games if you dont pick her as protag. And, yknow, how Nate himself acts the same if you pick Katie instead. Srsly none of that stupid Cliche Romance Girl Personality nonsense, why did they have to boringitize it to the point where the ship sucks now? Anyway before i go off on a ramble, let me just say that i appreciated them adding at least one line aknowledging that 'UGH THOS GIRLS BE FASHION' is dumb and whisper aint agree wit u nate. It would have been real frustrating if they kept going with that for the whole episode because srsly Gorgeous Ambassador is a dude and theres a whole bunch of other flambouyant/feminine/fashionable/not giving a shit about toxic masculinity type yokai dudes in the games.

ALSO DECORATING CELLPHONES IS JUST FUN, NATE. LIVE A LITTLE!

Seriously the plot is straight up "we must defeat him because he is making people decorate stuff and nate has no goddamn taste so he somehow hates that." This equals beat up the man, becos why???

Also its funny how the episode dances around ever saying bedazzling(tm) even though its all about bedazzling(tm). Tho possibly the brand name for that stuff is different in japan? I'm curious now!

In any case it was a strange but fun choice to change generalized gaudy fashion guy into the yokai of such an overly specific trend! Helps a bit with giving him a unique identity cos really he's just one of those repeat power guys in the games. Basically just the american equivelant of cupistol and dazzabel at the same time, while also lacking any sort of actual american traits so it doesnt feel like he's a proper counterpart but rather just was arbitrarily put there instead of in the springdale section of the game for no real reason. I guess in an abstract sense you could say he might have been conceptualized as the idea of an ambassador of american fashion to the japanese setting of the game, exceot at some point he just stopped having amerocan fashion and became fashion in general...? Like if he was meant to be gaudy american fashion in particular he would look very different, lol! He just looks like pride parade ambassador...

The anime clarifies the confusingness of why he's called an ambassador despite not having any design traits communicating that or anything to do with that plotwise. Srsly when i first saw his design i assumed he must be a main story important yokai who was actually a politician or something? Also immediately assumed he was a japanese one because seriously where is the america in this design except i guess america has more fashion dudes but WHY DOES HE NOT LOOK LIKE AN AMERICAN FASHION DUDE like just shove a fuckin hollywood hat on there or somethin

in the animeverse they threw out this worldbuilding that there's an international club of yokai who love sparkly fashion, and he's employed to hand out their business cards around the human world. Which i guess can technically be called an ambassador but isnt that just like... PR manager? Deliveryman? Seriously i thought it was the actual political embassy meaning and was wracking my brain to figure out how on earth a sexy peacock man was supposed to relate to that...

Cute moment: he does it all manually instead of with a yokai power. Which is actually surprisingly good foreshadowing for a reveal later on?? Its weird how much good plot is crammed into this thing and (sadly) how much later im gonna be venting about how much it was wasted.

Also in retrospect this is a huge douche move to use on this dude in particular, even if Nate didnt know it at the time.

Why do you hate wheeloffortune-designs?

Ugh i already packed my laptop so im not gonna make a long post here with receipts, but basically theyve done some pretty lesbophobic/homophobic stuff, and more than once. The first thing that comes to mind is the post about how they were only going to draw georgia martin with husbands/boyfriends because they headcanon her as bi, but most fans headcanon her as a lesbian. Not that theyre not alowed to draw and headcanon what they want, but the entire goal seemed to be "fuck people who see her as lesbian representation"There was also a drawing they made with the entire cp cast at pride, and the center of the picture was shitty, both cis and straight. So like.... not a fan (the same drawing was also called racist but since im white im not the person to judge that one)

- what wouldn't i do to see ANYONE on 205 in a storyline again :( it's not even that they're hammpered by the title not being on the show (for some dumbass reason) because like as we've SEEN some of 205's best storylines don't have to do with the title at all! though of course storylines around the title can ALSO be phenomenally good!! like, ANYTHING but introducing a new pop punk frontman and going "oh well ariya and tony hate them because theyre newcomers". i love gold standie, we all KNOW this, i would probably realistically stop watching if not for them, but this isn't really a story especially when it isn't going anywhere! no matter if ariya (and tony to some extent but it's really egregious with ariya) wins or loses a match, it doesn't matter or go anywhere! it's just some guys losing to some other guys and nothing happens until someone does something cool and exciting and then they get taken off 205 and to nxt.

- it's very frustrating. once mustafa got taken to the quote unquote main roster, that was it! instead of investing in the future like dbry apparently wanted (thanks sooooo much for that danny) they just take the best bits of it and stash them somewhere they can't outshine a manufactured idea of what wrestling fans will watch. 205...was at one point full of dudes left on their own to do whatever with very little oversight, and they flourished in that condition! they took things into their own hands and made it work. now it feels like...that's just not happening. nxt picks over 205 for whoever gets over and takes them. "too good for 205", or whatever. its just. god i complain about this every fuckin week i know but it really drives me insane knowing how good 205 was!!! seeing this hollow version of it really really does things to my brain. it was so good. it was so good once

UNREAL how intense he is tonight. absolute delight to watch. really conveys that he hates grey's GUTS. a coward who acts like he's above ariya's methods only to use them when he can't beat ariya, and everyone celebrates him for it. ariya has worked himself to the bone for years and for a fraction of the respect and reputation grey's earned in less than a single year of it. ariya has a ROTTEN attitude and he hates grey with all his heart and it's very, VERY hard to say he's wrong. he's fighting with VENOM tonight! he is moving with a hatred that permeates every cell in his body and it's sooooooo good. i love watching him i LOVE him he is so smart and cool and epic

- MAN!!!!!!!!! tony tapped out last week quickly, and ariya gets caught in a submission and refuses. one thing about ariya is he refuses to stop fighting. when he gets in that ring he will do whatever he can to hold out as long as possible. you have to catch him by surprise, or you have to trap him, or you have to wear him out entirely. he...he fights for his pride. he's VERY proud. he occupies a space near the bottom of the cruiserweight hierarchy, and he's very aware of it. he doesn't have much. but he has his dignity. being deprived of that dignity is something he's just not willing to bear. it's the one thing that slips past his pragmaticism, i think, because though his passion gets the best of him sometimes he plans for his own survival at all times. his dignity is something he will hold on to even when holding onto it means his survival isn't guaranteed. i just think....i just think that ariya,

- also making a note, i guess: ariya's feud with akira (one of those feuds enhanced by the pull of the title but that lay in the character of akira first and foremost) pulled on a kind of similarity between them, where they both fight to win at all costs for the sake of their pride. (im not gonna say their honor. because like. well. you know -_-) akira had a support system that eventually convinced him to put his health first in the pursuit of the title, that convinced him to tap out rather than destroy his body for a chance at glory. that's kind of the dilemma of losing by submission, i guess. you give up, or you break. it's a really vulnerable position to be in, especially if you hold on to your pride like that. seeing akira admit to that vulnerability for his own sake was really satisfying! it was a FANTASTIC character arc, even if the way that the title was used during the end was *gritting teeth* bad. it's...its a really good way to pull a character apart and force them to grow or commit. it is THE story move. i think it's interesting that tony ended up tapping almost immediately last week. he's still a pretty arrogant character, he considers his job to be "making people jealous", he's gone through some development and he's not AS boldly disrespectful, but he's still very...haughty. he'll tap, though. he's not STUPID. in a low stakes match against some nobody he has no personal stake in, he'll tap if he can't get out. it's not that big a deal. it's not personal. for ariya, EVERYTHING is personal. tony has a kind of easygoing arrogance about him, but ariya has a RESENTMENT. that's kind of why they respond differently to these things. maybe. i'm just making things up who knows. anyway i think they should kiss to spice things up just for fun really i think 205 needs more gay people on it but all wrestling needs more gay people don't you think

✂ How does your character usually style their hair?

Belle: a messy ponytail 90% of the time, it’s only down when she’s at home after having just showered, or occasionally a few other times. she hates it in her face, so it is always pulled back but a lot of times it is like a second day ponytail cuz she’ll just keep it in when she sleeps so there are always pieces kind of sticking out. belle’s hair is just past shoulder length.

Simba: a lil fro, not super long, maybe just like half an inch/inch off his head. he keeps it well trimmed and shaped tho and keeps a brush in his car that he’ll use before he gets out to go anywhere. keeps a nice clean-cut beard 90% of the time.

Toulouse: always clean shaven (doesn’t have much facial hair anyway lol, imagine...), his hair is perfectly coiffed at all times. that like messy, loose curls look. his hair isn’t long enough to pull back or anything but it’s definitely on the longer side. idk just picture eddie’s fancy hair and it’s like that. takes longer to style it than literally anyone else.

Attina: braids!! tina loves braids. her hair is always styled unless she’s just like running to the grocery store or hanging out at home on a sunday. either wears it in loose curls or up in some sort of fancy up do. usually in different braids: french braids, dutch braids, occasionally braided pigtails. i’d say it’s like a 50/50 on whether it’s down and curled or up and styled. does a LOT of half down/half up looks. i’d say it reaches her bra strap line, so bottom of shoulder blades?

Hercules: he does literally zero things to his hair.

Mei: leaves it down most of the time because she can’t be bothered. it is very Long, almost to her butt long. it’s pretty messy. has a nice natural wave to it, very thick so if she does throw it up, it’s just in a messy bun or pony tail. when she’s dancing or exercising it is back though. sometimes she will put it back in some fancier updos, usually for special occasions. 

Shock: her hair is always kind of ratty and greasy. i have a hc that she actually hasn’t cut it since she went into remission so it’s also very long. however, she can’t be bothered with it most days and just throws it up in a bun, so most people don’t even realize how long it is. probably doesn’t even know how to braid lol. 

Bob: he also does literally zero things to his hair, it’s pretty short, also balding. probably tried to do something about that at one point and it went Very Wrong. 

Thomas: actually does put some product in his hair. mostly because if he didn’t it would be super curly and stick out all over the place and he does care about his appearance somewhat. so he’ll kind of rub product on his hands and then run it through his hair, but that just leaves these like lovely defined curls in the wake.

Zira: shaved head. like a boss. occasionally will don a wig for fancy occasions, but her day to day is a shaved head or a very, very close cut fro.

Candace: usually down. sometimes she’ll put it in a ponytail, especially when she’s doing something Science-y (TM) but when she puts it up there are always a few hairs that frame her face. braids it occasionally if she’s feeling fancy. it’s also quite long, i’d say mid-back probably, maybe a little longer.

👓 What kind of mobility or assistive devices (if any) does your character use in daily life? (Glasses, canes, hearing aides, wheelchairs, etc.)

Belle: none! tho im thinking about giving her glasses for reading eventually mostly because i think that’s very ironic and also pregnancy can mess up your eyesight bc pregnancy is WACK y’all -- but just imagine the plot of belle not being able to read !!! 

Simba: none! he does have a knee that acts up on him tho and will probably need a cane in his older age (UGH IM SO OLD - simba) 

Toulouse: also considering giving toulouse glasses bc eddie also has very cute glasses and it’s a Look (TM). maybe i will say he has reading glasses, can i just retcon that lmao

Shock: had to use a cane for a few months during her treatment, and has also been wheelchair-bound a few times. had to stop using the cane bc all she did was wack people with it and no one could get close to her.

Candace: has glasses! she wears contacts usually bc glasses are for NERDS, but at night or if she’s been studying/reading/on the comp for a long time, she has to switch to glasses bc her eyes will get really fatigued otherwise. 

♔ How does your character usually dress for a fancy event?

Belle: i actually have a hc that all of belle’s fancier outfits come from her mom, because no way would she ever buy them herself. she also only has like 3 pairs of Fancy Shoes that she just rotates through. her color palette for events is like blue/gold generally. 

Simba: on theme -- unless he doesn’t want to be. but he always dresses...not flashy...but uhhhh eye-catching. loves to be the center of attention so his outfits are just wack-o. loves playing around with different looks. please do not test him he will literally wear anything. 

Toulouse: stuntin’ on all you bitches always. toulouse loves NOTHING more than he loves dressing up for fancy events. it is in his BLOOD. always crushes the theme. designer only. jewelry, make up, AMAZING shoes. honestly i wanna play around with different styles even more with him. i had him wear a skirt to pride and 10/10 will do that again idk he is just very fluid in his fashion choices and i should embrace that more. 

Attina: attina has a very modern-classic style. i always say hers is closest to what my own is in my head. lots of sweetheart necklines, long, flowing princess skirts/silhouettes. the girliest of my girls, she loves to look and feel very feminine. her color palette is generally a gold/red/green palette. LOTS of jewelry. bitch loves the sparkle.

Hercules: a suit.

Mei: i love mei’s event and fancy outfit style. it’s very girlish and flirty. doesn’t wear anything super body-hugging. loves tulle skirts. she loves wearing fun clothes but nothing too flashy. her style is kind of hard to describe, but generally pretty modern and not conservative, but definitely not sexy really. it can also be very witchy: lace, capes, shimmery things, etc.

Shock: can be explained by clicking here but seriously, shock only shops at thrift shops or what she can steal from people. so, her outfits are generally kind of all over the place. but she loves a grungy look, but when she dresses up she does like a Modern Flirty Grunge: sheer tops, lace, ripped up clothes, etc.

Bob: a suit.

Thomas: a suit. (sometimes fun colored pocket squares/tie/bow tie. will wear whatever phil puts him in.)

Zira: loves a pant suit. very modern silhouettes. always looking fly. lots of jewel tones: purples, greens, etc.  

Candace: i’m still getting a feel for her fashion and she hasn’t been to any events yet, so we’ll see! but probably very modern and tighter and kind of slutty, but like tasteful slutty. has nice legs so wants to show those off.
