i see a lot of people were confused about ueki's name. actually ueki ryou and ueki ryuu are both fine BUT - UEKI RYOU (/Ueki Ryō) - it's the correct pronunciation also respecting how it is actually written "植木 涼".

[NEWS] Sato Ryuji will be Acting in the New "HiGH&LOW" Movie, "HiGH&LOW THE WORST"

DESCRIPTION OF "HiGH&LOW"

"HiGH&LOW" is a comprehensive entertainment project that spans across manga, TV series, movies, and even lives, launched by EXILE TRIBE.

It is set in an area that used to be under the rule of "Mugen", a legendary organisation. Amongst the ranks, beyond the control of any organisation, were the notorious and feared Amamiya brothers. However, one day, in the middle of a fight, Mugen was dispersed, and the Amamiya brothers vanished.

In the aftermath, the area was split between five organisations:

Sannoh Rengokai

White Rascals

Oya Kou (also known as Oya Koukou or Oya High School)

RUDE BOYS

Daruma Ikka

Using the initials of the groups, the area was called "the S.W.O.R.D Area" and the groups as a whole were called "G-SWORD".

Currently, the HiGH&LOW universe spans across two TV series and six movies (3 main movies and 3 spin-offs) focusing on Mugen, the G-SWORD organisations as well as subsequent organisations that are introduced.

"HiGH&LOW THE WORST"

The 2019 movie "HiGH&LOW THE WORST" will be a spin-off focusing on Oya Kou, the dark and vicious high school where the average age of the students is 23 years old.

It has also been announced that the movie will be a crossover between the HiGH&LOW universe and the universe of "Crows x Worst", the series that focuses on the power struggles of the student gangs in the Suzuran Danshi Koukou (also known as Suzuran All-Boys High School). One of the schools in the series is Housen Koukou (also known as Housen Academy) and they will be the high school featured in the crossover. 

It's the new generation of Oya Kou versus Housen Koukou.
