“Increase in the number of people employed coupled with rising demand of specialized courses has driven the Executive Education market in Singapore”
The report Titled “Singapore Executive Education Market Outlook to 2023 - By Type of Program (EMBA and MDP), By Funding of the Program MDPs (Company Sponsored and Self Funded) and EMBA (Self Funded, Partial Funding and Company Sponsored), By Duration MDP (1-7 days, 7-14 days and more than 14 days) and EMBA (up to 12 Months, 12-24 Months and More than 24 Months)” by Ken Research suggested that the Executive Education market in Singapore has been growing due rapid transformation in education system, increase in the number of people employed and evident salary hike after completion of these courses. The market is expected to register a positive CAGR of 1.1% in terms of revenue during the forecast period 2018-2023E.
Rise in Joint EMBA programs and Contracts with Companies: Singapore has witnessed surge in the demand for executive education in order to explore the potential opportunities. It has been observed that the many B-schools and universities have started offering executive learning programs for professional development and career building in alliance in the country. For instance: UCLA Anderson and National University of Singapore, Tsinghua University and INSEAD (TIEMBA). In addition to this, it has helped the B-schools in broadening their student base and in creating brand value which will further lead to enhance alumni network which is a major attraction for students. On top of it, partnership with these companies would aid in structuring the course specifically catering to the industry vertical required.
Lifelong Learning Programs: The current trend in Executive MBA is that they offer the alumni's with the opportunity to study lifelong in the institutes such as in NUS where the alumni can go back to the college and participate in new classes or they can even take new classes as a fresher with no additional cost. This facility is available to the alumni’s upto 20 years from the time of their enrolment into the program. This would help the college to build a strong alumni network and will further increase the demand for executive education in the country.
Company Sponsored Programmes: In Singapore, it has been observed that majority of the enrollments in the MDP courses are company sponsored in the year 2018. On the other hand, number of enrollments in EMBA which are company sponsored accounted a mere share in the year 2018 owing to these programs are of longer duration and are costly therefore they are least funded by the companies whereas MDP programmes are generally short term courses due to which companies generally provide full sponsorship to their employees to learn new and highly demanded courses which will help the association in the longer run.

Hey! I'm thinking about going into directing/writing for school, do I need to go to some fancy school in LA or NY? I, unfortunately, live in DC :/
You can absolutely study film without going to LA or NY! (I’m studying in Chicago.) There are also people who will argue you don’t need to get a degree to make it in film. You just need to get hands on experience and be able to build a network of other filmmakers.
Since you asked, though, I’m assuming you want to study film in college, just not at the big places like UCLA. I’m not sure how far you’re willing to go so I’ve stuck to the east coast when making this list. I know you said no fancy places in NY, but I included some anyway, just in case. In no particular order, here are some good film schools with some notable alumni:
New York University Tisch School of the Arts (Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, and Vince Gilligan)
Columbia University - New York [there’s also a good one in Chicago] (James Schamus, Kathryn Bigelow, Lisa Cholodenko, James Mangold)
Wesleyan University - Middletown, CT (Michael Bay, Akiva Goldsman, Joss Whedon, Larry Mark, Rick Nicita)
University of North Carolina School of the Arts - Winston-Salem, NC (David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, Jody Hill)
Rhode Island School of Design (Gus Van Sant, Michael DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, Joanna Priestly Seth MacFarlane)
Emerson Visual and Media Arts School - Boston, MA (Norman Lear, Denis Leary, Jay Leno)
Here is the link I shamelessly pulled these names from. It includes a summary of the school’s programs, the degrees you can get at each school, tuition costs, and notable alumni.
Other colleges with good film programs that are not on the east coast include:
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, WI ( Willem Dafoe, Jim Rygiel)
University of Texas at Austin (Wes Anderson, Robert Rodriguez, Owen Wilson, Matthew McConaughey)
Florida State University - Tallahasee, FL (Amanda Farris, Jonathan King, Ali Bell)
Here you will find a post I’ve reblogged that lists other good film schools in the country. Best of luck to you Anon!

The 15 business schools where MBAs earn the highest salaries after graduation
Business school is expensive — especially at a top-notch school. At the 20 best business schools in U.S. News & World Report's most recent ranking, you'll shell out at least $100,000 to earn your MBA. At Harvard Business School or The Wharton School — the highest-ranked programs — you're looking at $150,000 in tuition and fees.
Thankfully, you get a pretty good return on that investment. At most top business schools, the average starting salary and bonus for graduates more than covers the cost of the degree.
Business Insider used U.S. News' business school ranking to highlight the 15 programs where MBAs earn the highest salaries after graduation. We've also included the school's overall numerical score, with 100 representing the best possible result. (You can read a full breakdown of U.S. News' methodology here.)
Each school in the top 15 sets the average graduate up to earn at least $140,000 in salary and bonus in their first year of employment after graduation.
Read on to check out the business schools where MBAs earn the highest salaries after graduation

The school emphasizes international experience. Its International Growth Lab pairs its students with those at ESADE in Barcelona and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to develop strategies for solving an international business' real-world problems.
