Tonight I saw two meteors and a UFO, it looked like a big bright star gliding by until it disappeared behind clouds.
Before seeing the UFO I was locating Arcturus in the sky saying hi, and earlier today I saw art depicting a skinny blue Arcturian.
I thank them for showing their ship and welcome them. Asking for identification I saw big black eyes in meditation.
What a glorious night!!! My bliss knows no bounds, I feel groovy!!!
Much love to everyone!

so....... RA 301, "Lone Wolf"
high points:
• the two Greys (a middle manager and a trainee acc. to the end credits lmao) tackling human abduction logistics - "Well, you got the 'leave him inside the house' part right." LOL I'm currently in my UFO/UAP phase again, so this little moment (along w/ that hangar full of retrieved alien spacecrafts) was a treat. This whole abduction storyline continues to simultaneously creep me out and delight me to no end. It's an odd but good feeling, and I'm excited to see how it plays out. FINALLY they made me interested in Ben & Kate again -- already one major improvement over last season.
• Alan Tudyk. In a suit. Thank you.
• the interactions btw Sheriff Mike & Deputy Liv retain their golden status. I just love them.
Mike: Look, there goes a damn government drone watching us right now. Liv: I think that's just some mustard on the window. Mike: That's what they want you to think. You gotta trust no one, Deputy. Head on a swivel. You ain't never really safe until you learn to look behind yourself. Go ahead, watch your back. Go ahead. Do it.
• Kevin and her lil' kitty towel awww
• "I had to stop because of you. I will always have to stop because of you." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the stuff I'm here for. It reminded me of Hannibal: Tell me, Clarice. Would you ever say to me, "Stop? If you love me, you'd stop"?
The feelings, guys... the feelings I have are MANY and STRONG
but:
In general, Harry's characterization continues to frustrate me. We get a reminder how "going it alone" is hard-wired into his DNA. Even the two Greys are a brief counterpoint to this, presented as a team, supporting each other. But Harry still has to keep re-learning -- or more like re-realizing -- the basic tenet that confiding in Asta is the way to go, and we're already in S3. It just feels needlessly repetitive at this point. And hand-waving his behavior w/ "oh he just has the amorality of a child" is so... thin, such a basic cop-out. I know that emotional maturation is built on a long series of missteps, many repeated ones, but please let some stuff stick already so it can be built upon and keep things fresh. We have seen just how much development Harry's capable of in the character of Goliath. He is the best (a future) version of Harry and I'd really like to see him start moving in that direction now instead of coloring over the same lines ad nauseam.
That being said, the glorious clusterfck that is his relationship with Asta remains to be so fascinating. His alien core keeps crashing against his feelings for her and amidst all my frustration these moments somehow keep hitting the right sweeeet twisted spot for me????? I mean, apparently, he violated the Galactic Federation Charter 3 times already - for her. He def betrayed his own species - for her. First he was willing to save Earth - for her, now he would let the whole planet burn - for her. He then contemplates killing her to stop the fracture of his very being only to screech to a halt by her bed -- all of which is just...... WOW. He is so torn and confused yet so viscerally attached to her. He first calls her his kryptonite, then his Lois Lane. His core instinct is to protect her now and then try to fumble his way back to his mission, which is a complete 180 to how he behaved originally. So we def have development, I just wish they stopped trying to drown this precious nuance in a caricature. We have gold here, writers, let it shine.

Before the beginning!
BEFORE THE BEGINNING — three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project
(to switch it up I'll use the recent speirton alien au in the event this is interesting to Anybody but me lol)
Speirs was a test pilot for Ye Olde Government who saw some Truly odd shit in the skies that the military tried to tell him he didn’t see, subsequently discharging him and discrediting him after he attempts to blow up their spot re: aliens. As a result of this he goes off the rails completely in his hunt for extraterrestrial life, beginning to make a series of camps in the mountains and hillsides surrounding Area 51. His search is single-minded and vigorous, including disabling motion detectors along government roads, distributing maps to tourists telling them how to look for UAP's, and keeping records of everything he does on a secret encrypted website that doubles as a UAP tracker and catalog. He is sought after by myriad agencies, but unfortunately for them he knows his goddamn rights.

Welcome to the photo dump for Episode 193: Los Pelacaras (Face-Peelers) of Peru! A sensational phenomenon occurring in the Peruvian jungles is finally being reported in western media. Villagers of the Loreto region of Northeast Peru claim that 7 foot tall aliens have been terrorizing them for years, with attacks by these beings ramping up in the spring and summer of 2023. Experiencers have dubbed the violent beings “Los Pelacaras” which translates to “The Face Peelers”. So, what’s behind the Face-Peeler Phenomenon? Organized crime, the drug trade, a PsyOp, serial killers, mass hysteria, cryptids, aliens, or something else?
Swipe through key images and videos from this week’s episode here!
IMAGE 01: Unverified photo of a “Pelacara” posted to Reddit IMAGE 02: Peru on a map, with the Loreto region in dark gray IMAGE 03: Various headlines over the past few years. Could the Pelacaras be related to illegal mining or organized crime in the area? IMAGE 04: The “jetpack”, “astronaut”, or “humanoid” UAP has been spotted all over the world in recent years. Here’s a sighting from Sequoia National Park. Haters will say its a stormtrooper balloon but I reject that theory because I AM A CHAMPION OF MYSTERY AND WHIMSY IMAGE 05: An alleged “jetpack UAP” uploaded by a resident of Kent, UK. Again, haters will say it’s a balloon. IMAGE 06: Some alleged UAP walking down the street in Mexico, as seen in a documentary that aired in the country. OH WHAT’S THAT HATERS? ANOTHER BALLOON??? IMAGE 07: Part 2 of the documentary clip IMAGE 08: Clip from a news report regarding the Pelacaras, including blurred footage of the victim whose body was found intact, but the face was peeled off down to the bone. IMAGE 09: Jetpack man has been spotted over LAX airport in Los Angeles, CA for years now. He flies directly in the path of airplanes that are taking off and landing and he has even been reported by pilots to air traffic control. He has never been seen landing or taking off and LAPD is still no closer to figuring out who he is. Might he be an alien???? IMAGE 10: “La Bruja” humanoid UAP spotted in Chile, followed by a humanoid UAP spotted in the Philippines.

It doesn’t matter the topic, there always seems to be a group of lawmakers who will stop at nothing to thwart government transparency – even when it’s a subject that could not be more bipartisan or in an obvious need for sunlight.
This time, a small cadre of powerful Republicans have reportedly killed a provision in this year’s defense authorization that would finally bring some transparency to the US government’s knowledge around UFOs (now also known by the updated parlance of “unidentified aerial phenomena”, or UAPs).
Over the summer, the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, introduced a UFO transparency bill on the heels of testimony given to Congress by the retired air force officer David Grusch, who made several shocking claims about the US being in possession of alien spacecraft for decades. As Schumer described his bill “the measure would create a board just like with the JFK assassination records to work through the declassification of the many government records on UAPs … This model has been a terrific success for decades and should be used with UAPs”.
Some took Grusch’s testimony very seriously, others viewed him as a crackpot, still others in between. Since it would take a lot more words than this column to litigate his myriad extraordinary claims, let’s forget about him for a moment and focus on what we do know for a fact about the general subject of unidentified flying objects.
For decades, both military and commercial pilots have logged countless sightings of UFOs while flying that defy conventional or scientific explanation. The US government has studied the UFO phenomenon on and off since the 1950s and has kept at least some of what it knows secret. Recently the US government itself has released several videos of these incidents, which has further fueled public interest and speculation about whether the incidents were extraterrestrial.
Then, it was only nine months ago, shortly after a Chinese spy balloon floated over American airspace, that UFOs became front page news across the country. After the balloon was taken down, and with the air force on high alert and its radar systems tweaked to extra sensitivity, a series of UFOs were tracked and some even shot with US military Sidewinder missiles over both the United States and Canada.
For a few days there was wall-to-wall coverage of these incidents, and the White House was holding press conferences to specifically address it. Members of the military were telling reporters that the objects were not balloons like the one China had lost control of, some reported at least one of the objects “interfered with [pilot’s] sensors” and had no visible propulsion 40,000ft in the air. The military spent millions of dollars to shoot them down, and closed a huge swath of airspace when they thought they spotted more. No one had a definitive explanation of what they were.
And then poof! Everyone seemed to forget about it. The government never released video or photos of the objects it tracked (even though they obviously must have had some footage). They initially claimed they couldn’t recover any wreckage. When reporters and other concerned citizens attempted to Foia the evidence they were stonewalled completely, with the Pentagon claiming it was all classified. By then, the press had moved on and the Biden administration or the Pentagon hasn’t faced an ounce of scrutiny on the issue from mainstream publications since.
It’s clearly in the public interest to get to the bottom of incidents like these, whether you believe these objects are of extraterrestrial origin or not. As Schumer himself said, “Unidentified aerial phenomena has generated intense curiosity from many Americans, and the risk for confusion and misinformation is high if the government is not willing to be transparent.” It also couldn’t be further from a partisan issue, as the bill had several Republicans in support of it. So why did this small group of Republicans – including the House speaker, head of the House intelligence committee and the Senate minority leader – kill this thing?
One explanation is that these specific congressmen are in on a decades-long cover-up, yet somehow the long-serving Senate majority leader isn’t. I have a different theory: these congressmen also don’t necessarily know what is going on, but they are so addicted to government secrecy that they will reflexively fight for it, even when they have no rational reason. They fear creating a framework for more transparency, knowing if it’s a success it could possibly spur more legislative action in a similar vein.
The JFK Records Act, which Schumer referenced as his inspiration, is an aberration in our modern history; it passed more than 30 years ago and there’s been nothing like it since. On most subjects, it’s impossible to get the government to quickly declassify documents – even when it’s of vital public interest. If this new provision would become law, we would then have an updated model for other areas of the government that Congress could target for declassification if they so choose.
Say, for example, a commission on price gouging in the Pentagon that could expose tens of billions in fraud, or commissions who could more quickly declassify the various spying powers that are constantly abused by the NSA and FBI. The House intelligence committee, which seemingly exists to protect our intelligence agencies from scrutiny, is going to do everything in its power to stop that.
The truth may be out there. But believers and skeptics alike should be able to unite on one thing: force the government to reveal what it knows and what it doesn’t know. We will all be better off.

oh i’ve been looking into connections between Scottish and Appalachian folklore and I just found a fun one.
***
the story told in northeastern Tennessee goes like this: one day, a young man goes out to the field to see after his family’s cows. in the midst of the cows is a young woman he’s never seen before. the cows seem to like her, and of course, she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. he invites her home and she’s fed and given a place to stay at the farm. she offers to take care of the cows in return, an offer that is gratefully accepted. the mysterious woman becomes a beloved member of the household and eventually the larger community. she becomes known for her lively dancing.
meanwhile, the young farmer is hyping himself up to ask her to marry him. once he finally works up the courage, he runs out to the field, looking for the girl. strangely, he doesn’t find her with the cows. he wanders further through the fields until they give way to forest. from the edge of the woods, he spots her. he calls out, but she doesn’t seem to notice him. there’s something strange about her. though her lips don’t move, there’s a song on the air. shadows are cast in a strange way, as if light was coming from further in the forest. her eyes are fixed in that direction. afraid, the young man leaps into the woods and grabs her shoulder. as he pulls her away, he catches a glimpse of her eyes, gone cold white. the music stops, the light fades. they return to the house.
the young woman never danced again after that day. she rarely spoke or smiled. no one ever found her in the woods again, but she would look off blankly towards the mountains. the young man got a job with the railroad and got married to a girl in town. once his parents passed away, the strange young woman kept the farm and the cows by herself.
***
I love this story for many reasons. it reminds me of Cowboy from Old Gods of Appalachia and the stories I grew up hearing about ghostly women hitchhiking who would disappear after you pick them up. but while I was reading about the more unusual Good Folks, I was surprised to hear that our cow loving spooky lady has a counterpart back in Scotland.
“The gruagach haunts the fields and pastures, and is usually seen as female, with the exception of Skye where the gruagach there is described as male. Either way, the name ‘gruagach‘ comes from the long hair, whether referring to male or female – the term itself means ‘long-haired one.’ In terms of referring to men, it was common at one time for those who were of free or high rank in Scotland to have long hair, and on Skye he is referred to as being tall, wearing the dress of a ‘bygone period’ and having long yellow hair.124
The sole remit of the gruagach is in looking after the herds of cattle. If offerings of milk are faithfully made to her (or him, if we’re talking about Skye), she will happily look after the cattle at night and ensure that no harm comes to them. The milk should be given to to the clach na gruagaich, ‘the gruagach stone’, which is often described as a stone with a hole of depression in it.
Carmichael tells us: “In making the oblation the woman intoned a rune:
A ghruagach, a ghruagach,
Cum suas mo spreidhe,
Cum sios an Guaigean,
Cum uap an Geige.Brownie/
Brownie,
Uphold my herds,
Keep down the ‘Guaigean,
’Keep from them the ‘Geige’.”125
This was done by the dairymaid on a weekly basis according to Reverend MacQueen, writing in 1774, every Sunday,126 and failure to do so would lead to disaster. On Skye, where the gruagach was seen as male, he was often blamed for the unfortunate circumstances of many an unwed mother, up until the late seventeenth century, at least.127″
it’s well known that the folklore of Appalachia is influenced by the Irish and Scottish settlers who wound up here, but I feel like it’s hard to find stories where that connection is as clearly seen as this one. I’m also obsessed with the idea of an Otherworldly being who just wants to take care of your cows. I was only really aware of the under-the-hill courtly sorts of Good Folk, but there’s many more. highly recommend checking out the Tairis site linked above, it’s got some really well-researched information about Scottish folk practices.
#i cant remember the name of the source for the story oops#but its somewhere in my libby history if need be#appalachia#good folk#folklore#ecology of the otherworld

Lights In the Sky
Multiple people have taken to social media to share videos and pictures of what seems to be an unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP), which saw clouds from Ealing to Walthamstow changing colours.
Social media has been quick to speculate about the reasons - with some people blaming aliens.

Now this is a turn up! I suppose this is a UFO/UAP because of the haziness of the image, but it certainly seems like another gnome-sighting!
Gnomes have a certain gregarious, friendly image in media surrounding them but for those who are unprepared for an encounter, gnome-spotting can be a mystifying and even frightening experience. Please be wary, folks.
#gnomes#gnome posting#gnomeposting#gnomology#UFO#UAP#It's certainly a gnome-shaped phenomena#and honestly what is a gnome if not just a gnome-shaped phenomena#I feel like I barely have to use the term goblin universe at this point#but gnomes really are just gnome-shaped holes in our reality#the bright green
