I just read ur full reply about ur book and i am SAT! i feel called out by ur characters, i relate to them alot wtf esp w ophelia😳 im rly interested in stories with very complex protagonists, and i love how u mentioned that ophelias pov can be morally dubious too. I love it when an author acknowledges their protagonist is being a twat/ wrong and isnt afraid to direct those issues💕 also the way ayleen is gonna be characterized thru ophelias eyes… im a sucker for that writing trope aaaaaaa

I'm so glad you relate to the characters in some ways. I also do because every character I write has at least 5% of my heart in them, and I'm glad other people can understand them <3

And yesss, both characters are pretty complex and morally gray and that's actually a pretty main topic in the book because they speak about morality and their views of humanity A LOT. They're yappers (mostly Ayleen, but Ophelia has interesting things to say too). I admit they're a bit messed up and I love that for them. Nobody's perfect and nobody has the purest heart, they're just human.

Ayleen is described through Ophelia's eyes because it's mostly Ophelia's POV and even when it's not, Ayleen's narration is... Not that reliable tbh. She couldn't even know how to describe herself and if she did she'd probably be extremely wrong. The whole point is that Ophelia reads Ayleen perfectly despite not understanding half of the things she says sometimes (enigmatic silly depressed girl x girl captivated by her trying to understand her).

Actually!!! This story wasn't a Sanuso fic. I mentioned the Sanuso thing saying that my first idea for my first book wasn't this one at all, but that one Sanuso fantasy fic I wrote instead. But since it's too complex for a first book, I'll probably leave it for the next one or for whenever I'm ready to write more complex world-building. I specified it because I mentioned weeks ago that I'd be writing a book about that Sanuso fic but ended up changing my mind FOR NOW. It'll happen eventually.

Although THIS story is inspired by another fic I wrote but never published. It was another fandom's fic but it's not worth mentioning since it'll never see the light of day unless it's in the form of this book. And it has nothing to do with the original fandom either tbh.
