I don’t think anyone knows exactly how the algorithm works, not even YouTube, but I assume it might prioritize relative spikes in engagement (ie a popular channel uploading for the first time in a while like Dream’s Antarctica vid, or a smaller channel getting a viral hit) but I’m fairly certain that it has a mind of its own 😭 if it was simple the entire trending page would be Jimmy’s pristinely engineered content so even though it makes no damn sense to me I’m a little grateful for its unpredictability

Also re: the shorts being considered in the same trending tab as videos, I went to a data science conference last spring where susan wojcicki and her chief data scientist spoke a little about their future plans for YouTube, and both mentioned plans to promote their shorts feature to try and integrate it into the fabric of the site, so I don’t think it would be a far gamble to assume part of that is teaching the algorithm to promote shorts. From a corporate standpoint I guess it makes sense to merge shorts and regular videos but as a YouTube viewer who fucking hates shorts I would love to have separate trendings or at least an easy toggle filter? But also as a dream stan it’s a tad annoying to see short-form content beat him out on trending because his hard work editing and creating an engaging 40 minute video doesn’t feel comparable to, say, a 30 second clip someone roughly edited together

and yeah that would make sense about promoting shorts. especially if theyre trying to keep up with things like tiktok. im in the same place as you in that i hate hate hate the shorts and i love your idea of being able to toggle it. even if just on the trending it would be nice to have a 'gaming - shorts/videos/mixed' toggle section. because you're right I just don't think its fair for effort and it just doesn't feel like real youtube content? like if im looking under trending videos i want to see videos.

but other than that, im very friendly with new people and friends, im very open and try very hard not to be intimidating, because as an antisocial and socially anxious person ik how it feel when talking to knew people,, im definitely more confident over social media and texts than i am in person.

im the anon who asked for obscure artoria ships - tysm for answering! i knew you liked kojiro/artoria from early tpof, but ozymandias/artoria was unexpected! ozytoria sounds interesting from the way you describe it - ive always sort of seen it as an almost-giltoria dynamic minus the hostility and antagonism. i think that modern au idea sounds incredibly sweet 😭 honestly i like the idea of them but there is virtually no fancontent OR canon content of them (besides that one lartoria comment in ozy's interlude?) so its a half-built ship for me as of now. and yes, please talk about kojiro/artoria for the ship game! i'd love to see more of your thoughts on them. on nobu/artoria - YES nobu is incredibly beautiful its crazyyy. i got into shipping them because of mastoria/nobu in koha-ace, interactions in fgo and a user's thoughts on them here on tumblr (you can find them if you search up nobutoria).

Kojirou Sasaki X Arturia Pendragon - SHIP IT

What made you ship it?

This is gonna sound strange, but do hear me out.

My love for this ship evolved from the first time it caught my attention, but to be completely honest it all started with another ship: Diarturia.

After re-watching and re-reading FZ, FSN, and UBW, something kept coming up for me. We all know FZ is an incredible prequel sequel, created with stunning precision to fit the already existing narrative, which is why, even when consuming the series as a whole based on the timeline of events, Arturia's character still makes sense.

Their expert craftmanship made the fact that the 5th HGW is Saber's second attempt a lot clearer. Why? because it brings to the table a theme that was already there and yet not too fleshed out:

Deja vu. Or, in Saber's case, a double deja vu.

For example, this line:

Before Zero, it only means 'oh cool so she's fought spearmen before.' but after Zero, you finally know exactly who she's talking about.

But why do I say it's a double deja vu for her?

Let's begin with the obvious one. The parallels between Cú and Diarmuid are pretty clear. Like you just know Zero Lancer's character was patterned after the existing Lancer, but given another purpose. There are gifsets all over Tumblr that illustrate their similarity too.

BUT Cú and Arturia (ooh it kills me to say this) only just fall short of the borderline flirtatious "I wanna have a glorious fight to the death with you because you're worthy" energy. Furthermore, they meet only briefly.

So where did they get that?

No, but seriously. I don't think this is a coincidence. Diarmuid must have been some sort of amalgamation of Kojirou and Cú, the best of both. And that is also why the previous deja vu point hits harder.

Honestly, when that realization came, I was totally not expecting it. I was supposed to be looking for Diarturia crumbs and instead I found myself another whole-ass cookie. And one that unjustly has barely anything in the fandom, even if we have more straightforward lines like this:

So, now that you know how I got into shipping this, unorthodox as it seems, I think it's time to move past the parallels and into more solid ground.

Unlike other relationships that are more ambiguous and rely on potential, Kojirou's attraction to her is so in your face, it's refreshing.

Their banter is *chef's kiss*

It's only overshadowed because he so quickly became a gag servant, and ofc because the focus of the anime was Shirou. (Why did they do him like that though, he's actually so cool??? I mean, did Saber truly even beat him?? like???)

Saber comments on his skill with the sword, going so far as to say he outclasses him in swordsmanship. bruh, you can't take that lightly

They both see each other as worthy opponents. She literally tells him he's worthy of her full attention.

Kojirou sees her as the fulfillment of his wish, and Saber bloody actually gets to grant him the fight of his 'life' (FSN and UBW, not HF ;n;) when she couldn't do the same for a certain former rival. She even promises their fight's resolution because it is so important to her to see it through (UBW).

Kojirou really wants that fight, and fairly, without interruption. Which is why in FSN he goes as far as to stop the fight before Rider can spy on Saber's sword. And then later on, literally tells Shirou and Rin he doesn't give a shit about them, he just wants to fight Saber.

When he calls her out on holding back, especially since they're both running out of time, she apologizes and reveals Excalibur so they can fully face each other at full strength. UGH THE CHEMISTRY HGNGNGNGNGN. Also, since he knows this is their last fight, he's giving off "look at me, focus on me, don't think about anything else" vibes.

Also, man, Kojirou Sasaki really be out here serving up blatant eye smex every time they share the screen I swear to god.

Like let me give you a line from UBW 23, 19:08, right after Assassin notices she's damaged his katana

Arturia: Our positions...Assassin...are you... (that's what the subs say but Saber says "kisama" so I read it as "you bastard")

Kojirou, smirking: Is it wise to pull your blows? In this position, I could send you flying.

*Kojirou steps forward pressuring their locked swords and causing her to shuffle back a bit*

It's...baffling how unknown this ship is like...look at all that material. I mean of course it's going to be trounced in popularity by Shirou x Saber, GilArt, and Diarturia , but it should at least have accumulated enough of a following like Cuturia, for example.

Y/n became upper moon 4 years ago, at first Muzan hadn't payed much attention to her.

But unlike our demon lord, Y/n was head over heels in love

From the first time he cupped her cheeks and said "Y/n...You've been doing a pleasant job, you deserve to be amongst the upper kizuki, dont you think so?" He asked her one delightful night, Y/n was just done eating her weekly meal, she devoured over 49 people. So we can way she was one bloody mess

Even though Muzan hadn't felt anything towards her, he knew he liked her by appearance, he found her attractive

"You will start off as upper moon 5, do not disappoint me..." Muzan's deep voice echoed trough the Minka, he brought up his hand towards her eyes, gently brushing the air between them. Y/n's eyes got certain kanji after all "Y-Yes...Muzan-sama"

Y/n did amazing job but hadn't interacted with Muzan much, since she was new she wasnt summoned to most meetings and even if she did Nakime was the one here, reporting information to Y/n

Of course due to Muzan's temper, Y/n had to get punished for a small misunderstandings.

Basicaly she met Tanjirou and Nezuko and just ignored them, when they were really big threat and were on hunting, Y/n just simply forgot that all demons were ordered to kill them, she proceeded to eat humans somewhere else. And of boy how angry Muzan was

Y/n was sure she would die but he didnt kill her, just called her useless and paethethic

Veins popped on Muzans forehead "You call yourself an upper moon and you made such a blind mistake" he scoffed, his expression was displeased but Nakime and Y/n knew this was just 5% of anger that he felt "I-Im so sorry Kibutsuji-sama, I just forgot and went on w-" Y/n bowed on the flood, Suddenly he appeared in front of her "Who allowed you to speak?" He questioned, making Y/n gulp, looking up at him and by this way automatically giving him good access to her neck. Muzan suddenly gripped onto the females neck and picked her whole weight up, to face him. They had quite noticeable height difference so her feet hanged in the air. Muzan frowned

"What will happen if you will make similar mistake in the future, will you...." he cut his sentence mid off, Y/n's thoughts were something different, defiantly not what he expected

'Yeez...Should I be scared or aroused', 'I honestly dont mind him choking me' 'I hope it wont end soon' at this point Muzan knew that what Y/n felt for him wasnt just strong admiration

If it was another demon he would be disgusted, but for some reason he was quite amused Y/n felt this way. His face was now not frowning, but blunt. He had zero emotions, but he was in deep thinking, he slowly and gently removed the force from her neck, now choking her lightly 'Yes...there much better...why isn't he speaking?' Muzan read thoughts, he observed her. A pleasant smirked formed. He released her from his grip turning around and leaving her alone "If you will make mistakes again...there would be more severe punishments" he commented before gesturing Nakime to teleport her away

Ever since then we could say they both shared similar feelings towards each other, just no one of them showed it correctly

As time passed Y/n developed her style, she always had a lot of cleavage, not like daki but still cleavage.

One day Y/n was teleported to upper meeting, there she officially meet every upper demon member, she hit it off well with Douma - He was so curious and friendly with her after all!

Not long after Muzan appeared, wearing his vest suit and white clothing, with black pants, the casual and glamourous outfit of his. Y/n noticed no one bowed but rather just greeted him "Good day Muzan-sama~" Douma shouted, Muzan probably had good relationship with them

Trough out the meeting he removed the heads of several upper demons, and they all didnt bother. Woah

Muzan leaned onto the table "Tell me your Acomplishemnts" he commended, his expression was always blunt and hard to read, he didnt seem interested in their speech at all "Y/n..." Muzan interpreted Akaza's speech, making you focus all your attention on him, he slowly patted on the wooden pattern "come here" he ordered, his expression unchanged.

'DOOES HE WANT ME TO SIT ON THE TABLE NEXT TO HIM-HGHGJ?!'

Muzan grinned at your thoughts "Continue akaza" he said with more pleased tone, sucking in the stressful and negative tention away. All other moons were more at ease.

You did as he said, and of course your thoughts did their best job at amusing Muzan, all the scenarios of him claiming you over and over on this table really intrigued him, no demon had ever dared to think so boldly of him, and not to mention he liked the way you looked, Muzan didn't mind.

"Disccust and prepare teams for attack on hajimeri hill" Muzan ordered, the demons started separating into teams and making a plan, they often worked together. You assumed you had to join them so you jumped down from the table, ready to leave.

However as soon as you started to walk Muzan quickly forced you back with his hand. He forced you to go under him, you could feel your ass pressing into the table harshly, your eyebrows frowned out of confusion, Muzan had small grin before griping your throat again

This time he wasnt too harsh, justcright to your liking. His fingers gently massaged your neck, making you close your eyes.

Oh how you wished this lasted forever

"You do know one of mine abilities..." He asked, making you open your resting eyes "...is the ability to read minds of my demons?"

You took a seat on his table, you were about to ask him what was wrong but he hugged you before you could utter a word.

Sure you two cuddled after sex in bed but this type of affection wasn't in your life. He pressed his face in your chest as his hands wrapped around your waist.

"I want you all to myself" he said, not emebrased or too happy. All you could is was just to accept it and gently brush his head

It wasnt the first time she was here, making herself at home she ordered his maid to make her a tea "Its good to see you my Muzan-sama" she greeted him with a yawn "Y/n...didnt I told you my opinion about you wearing short skirts" Muzan questioned her, his eyes still carved into paper work, oops. After he made it clear that she belonged to him, muzan hated seeing her wearing too revealing clothes "I didnt punish you, and I wont" this sentence made Y/n smile. But she knew he will want to receive something from her later. "I've been so good to you lately, you've been walking around as you please" he said in mocking tone "Y/n dont you think you are too selfish?" Y/n giggled at his words "So what are our conclusions" he asked, taking another paper. When he aske it, the answer always was 'I will change Muzan-sama' or 'I understand that I failed and I will do as you please' but Y/n was too goofy that day. Like a tiger she made her way closer to him, she sat bare ass on his table in front of him. Her legs on his papers. You groaned, again, and dragged a hand down your face for the umpteenth time, the heat radiating off your cheeks and forehead nearly burning your hand. You always thought you’d be safe from getting sick since it had been a while since the last time you had come down with something. Of course when you had boasted about such thoughts, karma took its chance to take you down a few notches and now here you were, lying in bed sick as a dog. You felt frustrated, already knowing all the lessons you missed and school work was piling up more and more every second you spent laying around, but even getting up to use the restroom left you feeling fatigued and drained.

While you felt mostly miserable, you were happy to at least have a clingy boyfriend texting you throughout the day to check up on you, even though with his current grades in some classes he probably should have been paying attention. He was always so worried about your wellbeing, and you being sick put him into mom-boyfriend overdrive. It took nearly all morning to convince him to go to school instead of stay at the dorms with you and help you out all day, but even then that didn’t stop him from wishing he was there with you. He could tell by how your voice sounded on the phone that morning that you were definitely not well, and the fact that you didn’t even want him in your room out of fear of getting him sick was even worse.

As much as he loved you and always tried his best to respect your boundaries, however, he still ended up knocking at you door the second he got home from classes that day. He called out to you, to which you yelled at him to go away so he’d stay safe from whatever it is that you got. After a few back and forth comments, you decided to at least drag yourself to the door since all the yelling was starting to make your throat hurt even more.

“I’m sure I’ll be fine by tomorrow, Eijirou, why don’t you go get some training done or something.” You sighed out, resting your head against your door. Honestly, you wanted nothing more than to curl up into a ball in his arms, but your common sense got the better of you there. A few days without him was worth it if it meant he wouldn’t catch the same thing that you did.

“I just want to come in for a few minutes though! C’mon, I promise I won’t touch anything!” He whined, practically ready to get on his knees and start begging. You two hadn’t even spent a whole day apart and it was already killing him. Maybe it was because the two of you were still in that ‘honeymoon’ stage of your relationship where it felt like your worlds revolved around one another, but at this point he honestly didn’t care what anyone would call it. He missed you, and on top of that he was worried sick and all he wanted to do was be able to help out in some way, even if it was just sitting with you and talking for a few minutes. Then again, he had planned out a little bit more than just talking.

You knocked your head up against your door a few times, trying to clear your brain of the fogginess that was setting in, before letting out a resigned sigh and unlocking your door and opening it up just enough so you could at least see Kirishima. For a second, you were surprised to see him with a knowing smile on his face and arms full of different snacks, notebooks, and movies. That was of course before you remembered who you were dealing with, the boy who was almost as bright as the sun and would do anything to spread that cheeriness.

“No.” You said flatly, already seeing where this was going. Sure, he said he’d just stay for a few minutes,  but you knew after that he’d wiggle his way into staying for half an hour, and then for the rest of the evening.

“But I can help fill you in on everything you missed in class! And I got you that microwave soup you like, and tea too!” He beamed, his eyes shimmering with hope. You opened your mouth to dispute him and tell him, as much as you would love that, you just couldn’t risk it, but before you had the chance to say anything he continued.

“I don’t even have to touch you, (Name)! I can just..sit in your desk chair!”

God, his smile was almost as infectious as whatever had you feeling so sick. You shook your head and laughed at how he could make such a terrible idea seem so sweet and endearing before stepping off to the side and opening the door so he could join you. He practically skipped into the room before setting all his things down onto your desk and plopping into your chair. You slowly shuffled your way back to your bed before falling down onto it and rolling yourself up into your blanket. You were starting to wonder if this was what Todoroki always felt like, being both hot and cold at the same time, and if it was you definitely felt sorry for the boy.

“Do anything interesting today?” You asked, turning in your bed so you could face him.

“Not really, I did help Bakugo with some new move he’s workin’ on though.”

“Oh how exciting.” You groaned, your distaste for the hot headed boy showing clearly to which Kirishima laughed in response.

“He’s not all that bad once you get to know him.” He said, flipping through his notebook to find where he had left off on his notes for the day. “Gettin’ to know him is the hardest part though.”

You nodded, your half lidded eyes wandering around your room. Since he had mentioned some food, you realized you hadn’t motivated yourself enough to eat all day. You felt all out of sorts, like your whole day was just one moment mushing unclearly with the next.

“Can you make me that soup, Kiri.” You mumbled, the bottom half of your face being burrowed into one of your pillows. Kirishima nodded enthusiastically before grabbing the little container of soup and making his way over to your microwave. You sneezed and let out a frustrated whine, wanting all this to be over with already. Your body ached so much whenever you moved, yet you still felt a sense of restlessness. You just wanted to get up and do something instead of lay in your bed for hours.

“..I’m sorry you don’t feel well.” You heard him mumble over the silence filled only by the rhythmic hum of the microwave.

“It’s alright, not your fault. Sorry I’m a bit out of it.”

“Ahh, don’t apologize! I didn’t come here to force ya’ to talk or anything, I just figured the company might help..” He trailed off, taking your soup carefully out of the microwave and grabbing a spoon out of the drawer beneath it where he knew you kept your silverware. Kirishima carried everything back over to you, placing the soup into your hands that you had wiggled out of your blanket wrap. “Plus I just missed you..”

“Thanks..I missed you too.” You muttered with a faint smile on your face before taking a spoonful and blowing on it before taking a sip. You let out a content sigh, the satisfying warmth already making you feel a little better. You continued to eat while Kirishima quietly went over some important notes from a few classes, though to be honest, it was all sort of going in one ear and out the other. His steady voice was slowly lulling you to sleep though, and before you knew it you placed the empty soup container on your bedside table and cuddled up into your blanket again, your eyes slowly flickering as you tried to keep yourself awake.

You didn’t even notice Kirishima had stopped talking or even moved from his spot until you felt a pair of hands tucking your blanket in around you as your eyes finally closed shut once you lost the strength to push off the creeping need for sleep any longer. Moments later you felt the spot next to you on your bed depress a little bit followed by a gentle hand slowly running through your hair repeatedly. You mumbled out a gentle protest, your want to keep Kirishima from getting sick just barely keeping you awake, but after a few minutes you gave in and just let him continue comforting you, his affection and personality turning out to be just the right medicine that you needed as you slowly fell into a comfortable sleep.

As for the whole bookworm thing, it’s never specifically said that he likes reading but it’s pretty much canon. I mean, we all know he’s more of the ‘brains’ to Thor’s 'brawn’- magic and tricks over actually going out and fighting face-to-face, outsmarting almost everyone around him except his mother and sometimes Odin, able to read people perfectly (unless they’re Natasha)- and all that knowledge about magic had to come from somewhere other than just lessons from his mother. There’s also a scene in Thor 2 after Loki’s been put in prison, and while everyone else around him is fighting he’s just calmly reading a book in his cell and ignoring the chaos.

We can only hope it’s not Arima. He deserves to rest in peace. Also it would just screw up the perfect ending Ishida made for his story…

I think I’ve seen a theory that there’s been a time skip and Touka is dead. (please no not a time skip AoT’s given us enough of those)

I do feel 100% sure that something has happened and I’m really excited for the next chapter :D

HUFFLEPUFF PRIDE. Seriously though, personally it’s the house I think I fit best with and most of the quizzes I’ve taken sorted me into it (occasionally I got Ravenclaw, very rarely Gryffindor or Slytherin). You know how in the books Hufflepuff is the only house without an actual villain from it? I guess I’m going to ruin that XD

Loki in Thor 1 is a lot like me and I think we could be really close, but Loki in the later movies is… well. I feel like I’d end up joining Thor in his 'LOKI COME HOME’ crusade and it would always be an epic fail.

Luna + Loki would be just amazing though. 10/10 would ship. 1000/10 would pay to see that sass battle.

Honestly, Queen Luna is kinda really shippable. Idk why. I don’t ship real people (I mean, I can 'ship’ them but not in the 'writing fanfics and drawing fanart’ way)  but since I have your permission it’s like my brain is running wild XD

Aww <33 Evans is a really good third wheel though (BLATANT LIES. Evans is actually a tiny bit clingy and gets jealous sometimes…not in the 'don’t hang out with that person you’re mine’ kind of way, but in the lonely, depressed way that just leaves me feeling drained (since the SA also makes me a bit insecure)? Idk I’m a drama king haha).

I’ve heard the Hulk movies suck and from what I’ve seen they probably do so I haven’t watched them either ^^;; and yay, can’t wait to see how you’ll do in MCU hell! :D

I’VE WATCHED THOR 1. And I must say, Loki is definitely fave. I mean, Thor does get a lot of character development, but, meh. Poor Loki ;-; I feel so sorry for him... I mean, if only his father had paid more attention to him and not only saw him as something that will form a pact in the future...  Also, I realised something. Both of the Asgard siblings have longer hair than me. That makes me strangely salty.

Ahahahah I think the two of us would get along very well ^^;; I mean, while I do watch a lot of anime, I still consider reading (and writing) my main hobbies. Last week, I read three books alone, during school hours (summer definitely does have its advantages). I’m looking forward to watching Thor 2. It’s next on my list, however I’m not sure when I’ll next find time time for it. I still have a few things to finish up in school, but I’d say Tuesday, Thursday or Friday are the days in which I’ll have time for a movie.

While I was watching Thor, my mom came in during the shirtless scene (great timing, I know) and since it’s gotten very hot here, I had a fan and was fanning myself. According to her, I looked ‘like a deranged fangirl’. What a nice comment.

Pls no. I’m not a fan of Touken, but I don’t want Touka to be dead. Pls.  When I first thought ‘oh, a time skip?’ I was like ‘oh god, not another one.’ but then I realised that TG actually had very little time skips. But AoT has had so many it’s made up for all the other mangas I’m currently reading. 

Yeah, I’m pretty excited for it as well ^^ Hopefully we get a nice explanation.

I feel like, if I was in that universe and knew the Asgard siblings, I’d be the one quietly faceplaming behind everyone. Maybe trying to talk reason into Loki

And then I’d go visit him in prison and just look at him with the ‘I told you so face’. 

Honestly, I feel very awkward about shipping real life people with other real life people but people with fictional characters is fine with me, as long as it doesn’t get extreme (in the ‘this is MY character, why are you even talking about it’ (trust me, I’ve seen fangirls get possessive over their faves, and it’s not pretty)).

Have I told you how interesting Loki fangirls are? During my 3am Adventures™ I encountered roughly the same amount of Smut and Fluff. Usually, the fluff outweighs smut, but it seems that’s not the case this time. However, for some reason, I don’t have problems with character and character smut, but if I see it involves reader, I’m out of there. It just makes me too uncomfortable.  And they don’t seem to know how to tag things properly. In the Loki tag, I for every 2 Loki fics, there was 1 for another avengers. Sometimes more. 

You’re definitely not a drama king. It’s completely normal to feel that way. And I’d definitely never leave you hanging ^^

I swear, if I start another Imagines blog, I will be coming after your blood. I already have 2 and am struggling to keep a consistent update schedule! (that might have to do with school tho and school’s ending soon....)
