I’ve been very nervous sending a message because I’m a aroace trans dude and… I’m very out of the target demographic for the fic. However, I’ve been keeping up with it for months, and after that one message I felt like it was important to say something and voice my support.

I’ve been going through a very rough patch the last few weeks. I’ve dealt with the loss of two of my cats and its been very hard for me. But reading your fic has really helped me get through it. Even though its a fictional scenario, seeing Anya go through this immense, unfathomable hardship and being as strong as she is handling it - and having a potential route for her to have a better ending with Y/N - means a lot to me. Its silly, but the story makes me feel like I can endure my own hardships, even if they feel all encompassing and suffocating.

I’m at a point now that reading your fic helps me get to bed at night lol. Its like my bi nightly bedtime story. I just view Y/N as another character rather than an extension of myself (I was worried about gender dysphoria but actually reading the story isn’t very dysphoric for me at all) and just get lost in your writing, which is something not many fanfic writers achieve for me.

Also, as a writer myself, the way you portray the characters is awesome and is the most canon accurate representation I’ve seen of them so far. I ADORE the banter between Y/N, Anya, and Daisuke especially, and the way you portray Jimmy is perfect. Swansea I also feel like tends to get mischaracterized by the fandom but you’ve really nailed him too which is awesome!

Killing Game.

The worlds rung through Kianna's ears, sending her heart sinking down to her ankles, the protection of her petticoats now lacking the shelter they once held.

Trust was never something that came to her easily, what with her background - flashes of her abusive home and neglectful family filled her mind, causing her to stumble back. All she knew to do was run.

So that's what she did.

She ran, ran, ran; as fast as her little rabbit legs would take her. Eventually, she ended up back in her tiny little cabin, the only solace this little island provided her. She locked her door and panted, hiding under her bed. It was like she was back in that old, rickety home, drenched in blood and hiding.

But she wasn't.

A knock at her door snapped her from her thoughts.

She got up and quickly dried her eyes, opening the door just a crack. She wanted to see who it was. Maybe then she'd decide if she wanted to answer...if she wanted to talk and be a human again, instead of the subhuman mess she constantly felt like.

"Hey...you ok...?" It was...Hajime. His chestnut hair stuck up in a way that confused her. "I just..." he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "I noticed you running away like that...and..I got worried, is all..."

"Um...it's ok.." She quietly opened the door, allowing him into her fortress. Just let him talk. Then he'll leave. Then he can go and she can push him away forever. Right?

He awkwardly shuffled into the room, staring down at the girl. The two were both inexperienced with people, that much was obvious. She sat on her bed...he just stood in the doorway.

"...Do you want me to..say something...?" She looked down at her lap, her voice soft and quiet.

"Uh...n-no..you don't have to say anything..." He shook his head, a drop of sweat rolling down his cheek. "Like I said, I just wanted to check up on you..." A pause.

Someone was actually paying attention to her feelings?

Somebody...cared?

She let out a small exhale as she furrowed her brows, her lips parting ever so slightly. "I'm...I'm just scared..is all..." she fiddled with her hands. Her white gloves protected her from the rest of the world...but now, Hajime was here, in her small arena of safety.

"That's fair..."

He got closer.

She flinched.

"H-Hey, it's all right..." He lowered his voice a bit, his eyebrows upturning. He knelt down in front of her bed, gently grabbing her gloved hand.

...She didn't pull away.

It was ridiculous. She knew it was ridiculous. But something about him just felt safe. She trembled and shook, but didn't move. Tears fell down her cheeks as she hiccupped, but something in her heart told her to just stay. stay, stay, stay. She felt so vulnerable, but for once it didn't feel so scary. For once she was safe with someone; someone that wouldn't hurt her or view her as a horrible monster.

He saw her for who she was - someone who needed love, safety, and comfort. Someone like him..

The two just held each other the whole night, allowing themselves to finally be vulnerable amongst strangers.

here's my orange blood review that absolutely nobody asked for:

sweet venom: i liked the mannequin challenge lowkey LOL it was rlly cool but what i didn't like was how only one set was used and the SAME mannequin sequence was reused, just replacing members. it seems that belift rushed this filming bc it isn't nowhere near the effort they've put into their other mvs. also, HYBE WHY ARE U ALLERGIC TO BRIDGES??? WHY IS SWEET VENOM LESS THAN 2 AND A HALF MINUTES?? like just imagine a bridge where it slows down a little and picks back up with a lil dance break... (i should be a producer me thinks) moving on to the positives, their vocals sound so good!! jay opening the song did it for me and tbh i rlly do like it. it contrasts bite me which was their goal and the "sweet hee hee" is going to catch on fast. plus, i'm one for upbeat, fun songs and im really happy that jay got to contribute to the writing!! i just wish it was longer /: plus u can see the michael jackson influence in this cb which i can appreciate

mortal: i love her so much. there's like A LOT of monolouging but the melody is really pretty and their vocals sound amazing. it makes me feel like im frolicking in a field fr. i love jake's closing lines bc it rlly sets up the storyline of the album.

still monster: don't come for me i know she's already a fan favorite but i'll have to listen to it a few more times. ITS GOOD THOUGH. jungwon's voice in the pre-chorus LIKE CMON. i think it matches the vibe of sweet venom, just a slower ver of it if ykwim. i think the performance will solidify everything for me and reporters said the choreo was rlly good.

blind: ONE OF MY FAVS. jay's vocals omg he is really showing off his singing this comeback. i cant explain why i love it so much BUT JUST KNOW SHE IS IT!! FOR ME. ((the "wait a minute" part HITS)) ((so does the bridge))

orange flower (you complete me): ive already said this before BUT I JUST KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE MY FAV. (it has the same writer from bills, one of my fav enha songs) they really tricked us playing the slower version for the trailer TT (hybe pls release that ver as well i NEED her) the song makes me feel really happy and the lyrics are so<33 this is definitely a song for the fans with lyrics like "color my world... you complete me" again gotta highlight jay's vocals bc i love vocalist jay!!

sweet venom (eng ver.): same notes as written before but it sounds good in english!! not awkward at all and i can see myself listening to both versions.

overall, the members emphasized the storyline they were trying to create and that it was a continuation from bite me. i think with watching the trailers and knowing both storylines it makes you appreciate the message they were trying to send. the songs fit well together as a mini album and i can see why the members love this comeback so much. i just wish belift/hybe took a little more time crafting the title track and put more effort into the mv but what can we expect from that company... im extremely proud of the boys bc theyve been working nonstop for so long and it makes me happy that they also love the songs bc i want them to release music theyre proud of.

i love like. well integrated modern/contemporary magic. where it's like a flavor in the background and not a focus. this is so niche and its hard to find bc i Dont Like fics that are just written for the SOLE purpose of carrying an author's ideas for modern magic world building (they're just not my taste)

stupid miscommunication. yeah bitch dont talk about your problems and you both think the other person hates you and etc etc ohhoughguhh suffer about it!! and then DO talk about it and communicate and get on the same page!!!

im doing my fifth bullet for the second half of above bc so truly imo giving enough time for effective resolution after a misscommunication trope is UNDER DONE AND UNDER APPRECIATED. i love angst and suffering and stupid misscommunications as much as the next bitch but you have to spend EQUAL TIME working BACK up to communicating and dealing w the fallout and consequences of your actions AFTER the fact for it to be fulfilling.
