Magic subject: a specific special metal or special metals in general
I'll do you one better, Special Materials™ in general: the more we get, the more silly they get, because it's really hard to strike a balance between how Precious and Special they try to be and how WotC flaunts it on cards to highlight its existence.
It's hard to sell me on how priceless Etherium is, or Halo, or Cosmium, or Powerstones, when they show up on every other card in the set and people are pretty liberal with their use. Hard to believe Darksteel is so rare when there's an entire foundry made of the stuff. Ixalan's story actually handled that a bit better than the card with Cosmium, I feel, since it wasn't treated as particularly special or precious there, even if it was sacred.
Generally, I think the Special Materials are better when they aren't a main focus, just a worldbuilding element in the background. Darksteel did that relatively well with a mechanical tie-in, Mizzium isn't flaunted left and right, Tyrite did it really well because it only appears a few times, and most of them are the same weapon. Aether is alright because it doesn't pretend it's particularly rare, but Halo isn't with how liberally it was used. Despite not appearing that much, Benalian enchanted Stained Glass was overused, I think, since it's supposed to be this precious family legacy material that only exists in small quantities, plastering it everywhere on all cards of the faction cheapens it (even if it looks fantastic.) Etherium has a canyon between how precious it's touted to be and how much we see of it everywhere on Esper.
If you're trying to sell a Special Material, don't plaster it everywhere if you want it to feel precious and special.

Addendum Pre Fall 9
Ferros was hungry.
Then again, as a Furnace Mite, he was always hungry. That was how he met Urabrask the first time; he was scavaging for food for his nest, when the red Praetor noticed him. Instead of crushing him underfoot as the others might have, he extended his hand and carefully lifted Ferros to his face. They greeted each other and Urabrask found various things the mites could eat, in exchange for their help.
It was also how, once a week, Urabrask would lie in the center of their hive and they would rush across him, delousing from the outside. More than once the Red Praetor would bring Ferros's whole nest inside his furnace, one to eat the shards and scraps of metal too small for most projects, but to also talk.
The mites were smarter than most gave them credit for, and Ferros, as the red species leader, had learned a lot in his short time alive. Which grew longer than he'd expected; Urabrask had somehow knicked a fragment of tyrite from Elesh Norn and fed the powdered remains to Ferros and his hive. Something unexpected occured: the mites born after this were also long lived.
The other red Phyrexians hated the mites, but Urabrask even allowed Ferros to live in his room for a time.
When he defected, Ferros and the others remained behind, acting as the red Praetor's eyes and ears. And an oft overlooked type of defense as well.
Urabrask reached down into Ferros's nest, planting his hand firmly on the ground, "Time to go my friends. This world isn't long for living, but i don't want you lot to share that fate."
Ferros was the first to reach the top of a changed Urabrask's shoulder, "Hello friend. We brought other friends who don't like other preators."
Urabrask smiled, "Thank you. I have brought several containers with me that should hold you all, but if you can always hitch a ride with me too."
Ferros noticed the blue crystal cat standing just behind Urabrask; she was looking a tad off color, so he waved to her. She blinked and waved back,
"That Urabrask's new mate?"
Both the blue cat and his friend started, before Urabrask glanced back at her and she gave a half shrug.
"... we're... trying it for now."
"Good. I like the pretty cat lady." Ferros said.
Urabrask looked over his shoulder at her, "Yeah. I do too."

#DailyDevotion You've Been Warned. Repent & Believe The Good News!
#DailyDevotion You've Been Warned. Repent & Believe The Good News! Amos 3 3 Do two men walk together if they aren’t agreed? 4 Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from his den if he hasn’t caught anything? 5 Does a bird fall into a snare on the ground when there is no bait? Does a snare spring up from the ground without catching something? 6 Is a horn blown in a city without people being afraid? Does any disaster happen in a city if the LORD doesn’t do it? 7 But the Lord GOD doesn’t do anything without telling His secret plan to His servants, the prophets. 8 The lion roars — is there anyone who isn’t afraid? The Lord GOD speaks — is there anyone who will not prophesy? With all these questions and understanding what the answer to them is going to be I can't but think of the song Nobody But Me, by The Human Benz starting off with, “No-no, no, no, no, no-no-no, no, no-no, no, no-no Na-no, no, na-no, no-no, na-no, no-no, no, no-no, no.” If you're feeling nostalgic or want to listen to it you can go here: https://youtu.be/f3HpZNE1Z9k?si=yRevVaoFeNDDsFiw But now we get to verse seven. On the one hand, this is very comforting. The LORD does not do anything in secret. Before He acts He sends forth the prophets to tell the people. We see this in Noah who proclaimed the name of the LORD to the people destroyed by the flood. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob proclaimed the name of the LORD to the Caananites calling them to repentance. They doubled down on their sins and the LORD destroyed them with the Israelites. Now one prophet after another is foretelling Israel's and Judah's upcoming doom. He is even warning the neighboring countries. Had they repented they may have averted their destruction like the Ninevites did. Jesus prophesied to us in these Last Days. He told us of wars and rumors of wars. He told us the natural disasters to fall upon us. He warned us of the spiritual plagues that would come upon humanity. And as the refrain in Revelations goes, “and they did not repent.” Before the great and terrible day of the LORD, even though Jesus has warned us already in the Gospels, through the letters of Paul and John's Revelation, it's possible before that last and terrible day He may open the mouths of His people and prophesy again. That may be the meaning of the two prophets in Revelation. The nations do indeed greatly fear the LORD and His judgments. It's why the mantra on their mouths to God's people is, “Don't judge.” Their consciences cannot bear the fact they are indeed answerable to the LORD God Almighty. They despise even His forgiveness because it also indicts their souls that they need forgiveness. Well judgment day is coming just as it fell upon the Judites, Israelites, Ammonites, Moabites, Edomites, Phoenicians, Tyrites, Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans and even upon the USA. But more importantly, you are appointed once to die and then the judgment. You have been warned. Will you confess your sin? Will you turn from your sin? Will you turn to Jesus Christ and find in Him the Father's mercy, love, kindness, steadfast love and forgiveness? It is there for the taking. Do not spurn the grace offered to you. Believe Jesus saved you and receive His righteousness, His eternal life now and on the day of judgment. Heavenly Father, You have warned us through the prophets of the coming judgment. Help us to take it to heart, repent and believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

The Lore of Kaldheim: Koll, the Forgemaster
“A talented dwarven smith, Koll had the finest metals in all the realms at his disposal but was never truly satisfied with the quality of his materials. He would constantly leave the safety of the city in search of new ores or rare minerals that might spark his interest. One day, while foraging, Koll was attacked by a Cosmos Monster. He almost lost his life, but the god Halvar intervened and defeated the monster. Where the monster fell, Koll spotted a shining chunk of Tyrite. Halvar tried to stop him, but Koll ran to the material and touched it—transforming his hand into Tyrite itself.
After getting over his initial shock, Koll discovered that his Tyrite hand was able to handle the godly material safely. Out of gratitude, Koll swore that he would forge the Tyrite into the finest blade the realms had ever seen as a gift for Halvar. He worked nonstop for days upon end before emerging from his forge with a blade so sharp it could cut a path between realms—a blade he called the Sword of the Realms.”

Magic: the Gathering - The Gods of Kaldheim
There are a total of 12 Gods or 'Skoti' within the Kaldheim set: Alrund, Reidane, Halvar, Egon, Toralf, Birgi, Cosima, Tergrid, Valki, Esika, Kolvori, and Jorn. Here are the dossiers of each of them we have so far. Still missing in action so far is Reidane, Cosima and Birgi.
White : Halvar, God of Battle // Sword of the Realms, selfless, stalwart, unwavering, and always the most sensible person in any room.
White : Reidane, God of Justice // ??, youthful, arrogant, fanatical, and fully committed to the cause of justice. I suspect her appearance is similar to that of an angel.
Blue : Alrund, God of the Cosmos // Hakka, Whispering Raven
Blue : Cosima, God of the Sea // ??, intensely curious and tempestuous. Born a Cosmos monster, she can't stand being in one place for too long.
Black : Egon, God of Death // Throne of Death, one of the oldest of the gods, but he ages backwards. He has the appearance (and the bitter, negative attitude) of a teenage boy.
Black : Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern, an accomplished warrior whose shadow has a terrifying life of its own.
Black : Valki, God of Lies // Tibalt, Cosmic Impostor, Vain and selfish, he causes no end of trouble for the other gods. On purpose, of course.
Red : Toralf, God of Fury // Toralf's Hammer, a fearless risk-taker with a passion for wild feats and saga-worthy adventures.
Red : Birgi, God of Boasting // ??, Fun-loving and charismatic, she is always the center of attention as she travels across the realms.
Green : Esika, God of the Tree // The Prismatic Bridge, She creates the Cosmos Elixir called 'Tyrite ' that allows the gods to maintain their supernatural power.
Green : Kolvori, God of Kinship // The Ringheart Crest, Talkative and exuberant, she cares deeply about the fate of her divine family.
Green : Jorn, God of Winter // Kaldring, the Rimestaff, He is an exceptional tracker who knows the swiftest, safest paths across (and between) every realm.

Recently I had a lot of fun designing a personal Mox for one of my characters. And it got me thinking if you’re ocs had a Mox themed after them what would it’s precious metal, stone or gem be? What would it look like? Could you describe its mechanics?
Oh, that's really fun! Off the top of my head, easiest would be Vanya. She'd have a Tyrite Mox because she's from Valla. It would glow in shifting aurora light, and be shaped like the "sun dog" effect of the light of Starnheim, and mechanically, it would add any color of mana only if you gained life that turn. Klaus might have a Mox Sea Glass, round and dark blue. Mechanically, it would only add mana if you scried that turn I think, or if it wanted to be really funky, it would be restricted from being used to cast cards from hand, make you cast from exile or top of library maybe.

May have sent this as a DM by accident, apologies. Hey, has anyone noticed that in the art for Kaya's Onslaught, Kaya and Vorinclex are in the Tyrite Sanctum?
Yes, and they’ve complained about it already. The moment still happens, the place is just different.

△ weirdest nonviolent contract with somone?
0/10
🙏
I was contracted by one individual to be indentured to her father, as a joke.
It got unfunny fast when he started using up a bunch of major transformations and costing her a huge amount of her soul.
There was a legal battle when she went to close out her contract and I was going to consume her, wholesale, about whether or not she was required to pay me since she couldn't have reasonably known her father was going to run up such a bill - I won't tell you what it was for but most of it wasn't even horny - and I was forced to attend court about it.
The contract was transferred legally to the father, who also did not want to be consumed, and elected to work off his debt instead.
Now, the actual court process took upward of fifteen timely months, and during this time, he continued to use me extravagantly, confident in his case and now taking it out on his daughter for trying to pin him with the bill, and he was faced down with quite the staggering payment to figure out.
And that's where Tyrit, Adamit, and Saurefit came from. 👍🤯

Few things before any official 'end of the story' shit goes on for Kaldheim
So, i'm not sure it's because of Kaya and Tyvar or because of Vorinclex's 'seed' that Tibalt Fell. And what is Vorinclex's doing here?
Let's start at the bottom and work our way up.
Looks like a bunch of monsters, I can make out a bird of prey, a wolf, a snake, and the rest are kinda random 'monster' shapes.
There goes our boy, defeated.
The heroes going up the tree. Also some monsters coiling in the background.
Vorinclex at the top, with the star of Starnheim.
The layout set, we can make a few guesses. There are a multitude of creatures around the picture, and that can be a few things. From least likely to most; 1)phyrexian monsters, 2)cosmobeasts, 3)the manifestations of an omenpath. I say the last one because
Yeah, kinda uncanny.
Anyways, we know Tibalt falls after an altercation with the two heroes of this epic. The question is if Kaya and Tyvar did it, if Vorinclex activated the 'seed' and what the fall means.
The duo going up the tree means either they fought the tyrite sword from Tibalt or the destablization because of the mega Doomskarr allows them to traverse easily between the realms. Maybe even actually on the tree kinda like
We don't see a sword on them, so that's something.
That leaves Vorinclex at the top. This is where the juiciness begins. Right off the bat, we see that he's at Starnheim, as depicted by the Star motif present when referencing it. He has the ability to get around the realms on his own, but Starnheim is discribed as particulary hard to breach. Only one going with the Valkyries or on behest of a god can. Even the Cosmo Beasts can't do it alone, so how did he get there.
The Doomskar could help. A destabilization of the boundaries in the world could make it weak enough.
The Tyrite Sword could. We know Tibalt allowed Koma into Starnheim before, so maybe Vorinclex has it now.
Last, and certainly my most favorite(and certainly the least like), is that the 'seed' Vorinclex planted somehow allowed him to get to Starheim. Maybe making a psuedo-branchway or another tree entirely to get there. Again, not likely but a nan can dream.
Now, to discuss what Vorinclex is after.
I could be how he got his new powers, or he got a taste of tyrite from something else and wants more. It's why he needs the gods and valkyries distracted. He needs wants to get into starnheim and get into the Sanctum, becoming a god and infecting the world tree. How do we know that's his destination?
The climactic battle happens in an area fairly similar.
This are my theories and predictions for the story. Thank you for reading.
(P.s. Tibalt probably lives)
