The met gala really has me in my PJs thinking I’d make a great designer

Like there were so many florals but it was about preservation, why weren’t there like wilted flowers and clothes tearing at the seams? I need a train of fabric being pulled apart AS they’re walking!

Conversely I need a glass case around an outfit like it’s being preserved. And were inspired by sleeping beauty but no one has a messy rolled out of bed look??

This year was better but there was still so much untapped potential and I’m drinking wine on my couch in workout shorts I’ve had for years just shaking my head

Yes!! I looooved Tyla’s sand dress bc it was made from sand and the idea was it wouldn’t be re-wearable. I would have died for recreations of iconic dresses that were moth ruined from lack of preservation.

I wish people leaned away from the spring theme (which is easy)! Ooooh the glass case idea is so cool. Camilla Cabello did something in this line with her purse looking like a block of ice with a rose frozen inside of it!!

Hi! I wanna add to this cause I think I can give a (kindoff) accurate idea of who Ran is, u know? Also, sorry for how long it is...

For me, I think that Ran is someone that like his brother, values self-discovery a lot, the difference is as Ina said rindou crafted an image for himself that anyone can relate and see, but with Ran I think that this image changes SOOO DRASTICALLY across his life, I think that Rindou is more "stable" with said identity, he is a hot nerdy loser since youth he will always be that but with Ran? I see it soo differently.

For 13 year old Ran, I think that his identity there was a kid that wanted to be seen as cool by others, of course this depends on how you think the haitanis upbringing is but I think that y13!ran wanted to live up to the "cool older bro" that rindou probably had of him, therefore copying what "cool people" will do on TV, like rappers and stuff. Like a really basic version of streetwear, nothing truly extravagant full of accessories mostly oversize hoddie and trousers.

Music wise, I think that this period of his life he listened to more hip hop music (although it wasn't really his cup of tea but it was cool so he do it) and Japan pop, such as Miki Matsubara. AND! I ALSO BELIEVE THIS ERA WAS SOMETHING THAT TRULY INSPIRED RINDOU TO ALSO WEAR MORE HOT STREETWEAR FULL OF ACCESSORIES AND STUFF WHEN HE GETS OLDER.

Anyways, about his hair... one of my personal headcanons is that both haitanis are or really androgynous looking or hermaphrodites, this being more obvious in Ran who also looks the most like their mother. And I believe this is something Ran would be so proud of, like that women must be a baddie for sure...

BUT YEAH, Ran long hair is like a little detail that connects him more to his mother and also shows how comfortable he has always been with his masculinity.

For 15 yrs old!Ran, I think this is the moment of his life where fashion hits him like a truck. He learns more bout it and is so fascinated, but everything he immediately starts to explore different styles and brands... usually alternative substyles that tend to go "darker" like jirai kei, rokku gyaru, romantic goth, etc etc... and obviously his fan n1 rindou follow him cause that shit is and looks cool as fuck.

He is feeling himself, experimenting who is really what he likes and what's resonating with him. I think he likes more dark styles and that was the main thing he was certain off but in contrast of rindou who maybe saw styles like punk and streerwear and started to create himself I think Ran never found something that was a "ah, this is ME."

Now, 18 to 20 year old Ran... I think he is still in self-discovery, but now he has a new persona... is more elegant, still dark/grunge, but he wants to be charismatic, presentable, and liked by others.

So, I view him as a style similar to a vampire. It also fits how fucking pale this man is and how he does not get a BIT of sun.

Wears lots of jewellery, not as chunky and dramatic as Rin but more elegant and sophisticated that you KNOW by looking at it the price may kill u.

I also feel his closet is mostly female assigned clothing, and maybe sometimes would wear long skirts cause they're cool and fit him, his style and everything.

Although I do believe Harajuku was such a big thing for him and rindou, their school bags are even decorated (idk right word) like harajuku baddies would do, iconic.

In terms of music, I think he does listen to everything... mostly: maneskin, tyla, flo, tinashe, wave to eath and red velvet.

I think his music taste, or at least his top listening depends SO MUCH on his style, like if he is feeling dark/grunge/messy however the fuck u wanna call it those are the topsss

Maybe he is dressing more white, soft, like a cute little angel... Coco & clair clair, kali uchis & mac demarco are on top.

Finally, Bonten and Final timeline Ran... he is a mess, mess weird icon boy okay..

I think that THIS is who Ran Haitani truly is, a mess. The only thing he was missing was colour, who he wanted to strip away of so bad...

He dresses still really feminine, overlaying, a truly fashionita, but I think it is the colour and the idgaf mentality this man has in his 30-40s who make Ran Haitani, Ran Haitani.

Music taste? Jazz. Give this man his jazz, wine and a olives and he will have a fucking blast.

Why? Cause he is too damn old to give a fuck about looking cool or not to other, I think this is when Ran realises he looks 100% cooler when he is doing shit for himself and not to look perfect in front of others.

I have been a fan of the haitanis for so many years but i have never been able to figure out Ran's character the way i have for Rindou. For example ive Never managed to characterise him with music. Like what does he listen to. What songs represent him the best. Does the guy even listen to music. I have thought of him listening to the nbhd but after a while it just didnt seem right either. And for pinterest boards too. I have a hard time figuring out what ran would be like in person and his aesthetics. Fashion wise he's definitely not as grungy as his brother but he's not exactly soft boy either. Like in between? Maybe he wears branded stuff more? But like what. 😭 i feel like my struggles with him also resonates with how ran is as a person (as a character) bc he's so unpredictable all the time
